IT WAS FINALLY spring. The leaves began to sprout on the trees, and Tannyhill’s flowers have already bloomed, the array of colors washing across the perfectly manicured garden. So - what better way to celebrate the end of winter than a classic Rafe Cameron party?

It had been a while since he’s hosted one. What with him overtaking Cameron Development and settling into his new office, he didn’t have much time to unwind like he used to. He had stopped taking drugs, and his mind was too preoccupied most of the time to even think about touching any alcohol. All he wanted to do when he came home was to lie down in bed with you and chill.

Of course, you had no objections to this. You loved having him to yourself. However that could not be said for others.

Topper and Kelce were growing increasingly frustrated. They would never admit it but you could tell they missed him (in their own weird little way). Rafe not being around most of the time was taking a toll on them and you started to feel bad for them. It wasn’t your fault, but you felt like you should do something to help.

So, swallowing your pride, you brought up the idea of a party under the guise that he needed to let loose and relax for a little while. While that was true, it wasn’t your main reasoning.

That’s how you ended up here, drink in hand as you listened to the conversation flow around you. Rafe’s arm was draped around your waist, holding you to him as you got comfortable on his lap. You could feel the vibrations reverberating on your back, his laugh loud and carefree. It was nice seeing him like this. His cup was full of alcohol, work far away from his mind, just like you had hoped.

You felt very accomplished as you stood up, noticing how the boys were finally getting to catch up after what felt like forever. Whispering to Rafe that you’d be back, you entered through the back door to refill your drink, the buzz only starting to get to you now.

Truthfully the party still wasn’t as crazy as they used to be but you chalked that up to it still being early in the day.

Your summer dress flowed with every step that you took, the thin fabric doing wonders for you with the blazing heat outside. Before you returned to the party you decided to venture upstairs to take your phone. You had left it there to charge earlier and you were curious to see if your friends were on their way here yet.

Outside Rafe was getting impatient. Sure he was glad to be reunited with his best friends, but he wanted you here with him. What use was it to be at this party alone when you were both hosting it together? Not to mention that he missed the weight of you against him, your little dress raising up your thigh each time the wind blew slightly, the smell of your shampoo invading his senses as he tried to focus on his friend’s stories…

He needed to find you.

When he didn’t see you in the kitchen or dining room, his next guess was his bathroom.

The doorknob clicked behind you as Rafe stepped into his room, heavy footsteps sounding against the floor as he closed the door after himself. You were leaned over his nightstand, your dress riding up just under the curve of your ass. He felt like he was going to go insane if he went one more minute without you.

“Hey, baby. What’re you doing up here?” he asked as he eyed your legs from where he was standing.

Turning around to him you sighed. Your friends said they’d still be another hour, their high maintenance pregame routine was taking longer than usual. Getting up from your previous position, you met your boyfriend’s gaze, noticing how his eyes drooped upon seeing your necklace glimmer in the sunlight, the golden ‘R’ shining beautifully against your skin tone.

“Just checking when the rest will be here. I want today to be perfect.”

“Today is perfect. You’re perfect,” he whispered the last part, his hands finding your hips almost instantly. “Don’t worry your pretty little head, you’ve already done so much to help around here.”

You only nodded, your hands dropping against his chest as he walked you backwards towards his window. Dropping your eyes to his lips, you leaning in for a quick kiss - but Rafe had other things in mind.

“Y’know if you’re stressed I have something in mind to help.”

His words became muffled towards the end as he dipped his head into the crook of your neck, lips already trailing kisses along your skin. The soft pecks he was giving you mixed with the want in his voice made your knees weak, and you nodded your head even though he couldn’t see you.

“Yeah? Like what?” you asked, your heart thrumming against your ribcage as Rafe settled you onto the window sill, his strong hands gripping your thighs and bringing them to wrap around him.

He only squeezed your legs in response, his mouth traveling lower and lower down your chest until he reached your clothed breasts. Wrapping his lips around the thin cloth, he sucked lightly causing you to take a sharp inhale. Hands caressing the plush of your thighs, he began to venture upwards slowly.

Could u do Earth realm guys doing karaoke?

My headcanons aren’t long because I don’t think they’d be that different so imma do it like this instead.

Overall I think they’d all have a nice time. Karaoke is supposed to be fun and you’re supposed to laugh and have a good time. I can see them doing karaoke when they have free time or any other activity where they can spend quality time together. Their relationship was rocky at first but by the end we see them enjoying a meal together and not making rude comments towards each other. Karaoke would also be a nice break from all the chaos that is sure to come.

Johnny and Kung Lao are probably having the most fun. They’re just different fonts of each other when it comes to how cocky they are. Johnny and Kung Lao would say how terrible someone’s voice sounds, get on the mic, then sound like the apocalypse. They either don’t care or don’t hear how bad they sound. Like the girl that would sing in class loud as shit even though she sounded like a train wreck (and y’all are awful for letting her humiliate herself like that). They’re the most fun loving so something as chill and free as late night karaoke would be something they’d really enjoy. They’re either doing a duet or having a battle and imma stand on it. Probably makes everyone vote on who’s better.

I don’t think Kenshi would do much singing. I just don’t see him as a singer and I don’t think peer pressure works on him. He’d probably be the one suggesting songs. Probably also says how terrible the other two sound and is rolling his eyes the entire time (or maybe not. Depends on if Mileena got him by now). Honestly Raiden and Liu Kang probably aren’t doing much singing either. The mics are being hogged. Raiden and Kung Lao give me the vibe that Kung Lao does dumb shit and Raiden watches (probably warns him but he’s hardheaded so now he’s just watching things play out). I’m not saying Raiden isn’t fun and that Karaoke is dumb. I’m just explaining the vibes I get as best as I can. Raiden does a few songs, otherwise, like Kenshi, he’s content with mainly watching the other two go head to head. Liu Kang wouldn’t sing as much because he’s just enjoying the moment. I think Kenshi and Raiden would still make commentary and sing from time to time, but Liu Kang would be so quiet that they might forget he’s there.

Liu Kang doesn’t give me “loudest in the room” vibes. They have this small moment of peace so he’s gonna watch and enjoy the scene. I know I bring up the past timeline and how he feels a lot but I think it’s important to his character. Remember, he’s watched humanity evolve without his friends. I think having them so close and seeing them have fun like regular people would be heartwarming. He doesn’t necessarily have to participate to have a good time. He’s just letting himself relax (as best as he can while listening to Johnny and Kung Lao arguing). Idk. Liu Kang just seems like the type to sit back and watch things play out. He’s probably used to living life this way since he couldn’t really interfere with a lot of human activity. It kinda feels like he’s back at the hour glass watching time pass, but it’s different this time and he likes that.

Rereading this made me realize I didn’t write this as an X Reader type of thing but uhhhh… damn. I think this still works fine. The only difference is I’m not referring to the audience a lot.

As a side note, Tumblr thinks I’m spelling their names wrong and on my side, Kenshi and Raiden’s names don’t look like they’re colored. So ignore that if it stays like that.

Also, and in complete fairness I haven’t seen this said yet, but if anyone does think it’s OOC for Kyle and Tolkien in this episode (as I do see on a surface level an argument for it being so since both of them are not particularly known for indulging in kinda “silly” stuff) I think, idk. Consider reevaluating the characters a bit. Assume you’re wrong in your interpretation of them before assuming it’s the creator’s who don’t know what they’re doing! I’m not saying Matt and Trey are flawless about character consistency by any means, but I do think they’d be proven to put a lot of care and effort into characterization especially recently and especially with the kids. There’s a number of reasons this makes sense for both Kyle and Tolkien and may not seem obvious at first, not to mention they are still just cringey kids above being the serious “mature” ones in their groups and it makes sense they’d be silly sometimes or indulge in fun things like TikTok, cringey or not. It’s honestly really nice to see them do so, especially with their personalities not changing otherwise, because it creates so much more of a well grounded basis for them as characters. Real people are never the serious ones all of the time, and honestly that’s never even exactly what Tolkien and Kyle were written to be!

They’ve always had less serious sides, had moments where they placed the less elegant and mature part for fun, and we see that here in such a real way. We see them goofing off and making fun stupid videos and enjoying the attention and making of them, and taking it seriously and Whatnot- But we also still see them being themselves in the same vein outside of when they’re making their videos which is natural and really nice! Nothing has changed ultimately! It’s just a new side to them both and I love seeing them just be… Happy! Relaxed! Chill! And indulging in an interest they found they shared and loving each other’s company. It’s really sweet!

-kath teaches shelby to dance

-skulkby (skulked shelby) is used to intimidating and scaring everyone away. the only person this doesn’t work against is katherine and it very much confuses her

-adding onto the last one, shulkby is all like idk really creepy shit and kath just does not care because that is her best friend right there and she’s not just gonna leave her like this and skulby is like ??? because she’s not used to being cared for

-dunno if i alr said this or not, but katherine embroidered the little flowers on shelby’s overalls and hat because she thought they’d look cute

-kath’s favorite thing is to pick shelby up and spin her around

-once when kath was monster hunting she got hurt very badly and shelby’s empire was the closest, so that’s were she went and found out that shelby is really good at stitching up wounds or whatever

-i’ve heard this one a couple times before, but kath is scared of heights and is super scared of riding with shelby is her broom at first. shelby lightly teases her about it and finds it so so cute

-in my last headcanon post i said before they started dating kath kept accidentally making shelby flustered and didn’t realize. i think after they started dating shelby starts making katherine flustered more with little surprises and sweet words and surprise kisses and it’s super sweet

-kath’s curse is easier to manage on some days and harder to manage on others and on the really bad days she asks shelby to come over so she’ll bring tortoise and make them tea and let kath lay her head on her lap and hold tortoise (because according to shelby cuddles with tortoise makes everything better) and they’ll just chill together and maybe watch a movie or read a book or whatever

-katherine talks pretty much nonstop about literally anything and shelby’s favorite sound in the world is her voice

-remember the sleepover thing ok so whenever kath sleeps over at shelby’s house she takes shelby’s sweaters because they’re warm and comfy and smell like her

I think Heather doesn’t really like Devon(obviously-), she never has any interactions or conversations with him unless it’s like absolutely required or something, he has kinda stopped bothering her 4 the least part but that’s like the bare minimum, if it’s not required 4 her to then the only other possible reason she would ever interact with him is becuz Kelsey’s there with him, which brings us to her relationship with Kelsey, Heather nd him are pretty good friends I think, they probably have some common interests plus Kelsey’s just really nice in general so I think it’d be easy for anyone to just come up and talk to him (I’m not saying he’s completely approachable though because I think it’d b funny if he had a somewhat intimidating demeanor, mostly outside ov school), also she kinda has a crush on him sooo, lastly, Mick, honestly they don’t have much interest in interacting with each other, plus, since Heather would rather prefer if Devon wasn’t there she’d obviously struggle to communicate with Mick like in general, without those problems tho they’d probably just be chill or something idk, Heather herself is honestly just, neutral, she probably won’t stay that was I just need 2 develop her more I actually thought Heather and her friend group were Devon’s bullies at first but then realized there is no actual evidence that points to them bullying him, I mean they most likely don’t treat him nor Mick the best but to be fair they probably barely know anything abt either of them except their friend basically gets harassed by one of them and both of them are bullied by most ov their class/the school, maybe most of what they know is like nasty rumors or some shit idk, either way they are mostly neutral unless Dev’s being a creep I’m still in the process of developing Heather nd her friends so I don’t have much 2 say about them off the top ov my head, it would help if you were more specific with what u wanna know about them, even asking something such as, “what’s their favorite food/color/etc” would help (I hope the way I worded that didn’t come off as condescending or anything)

2. My portrayal ov their relationship does change from time to time but they r in fact together(ish) in my AU, tho sometimes yes it seems like they have “love-hate” relationship (the hate part is more lighthearted ofc, at least most ov the time)

3. They don’t really play any major role yet because as u may or may not know my AU doesn’t exactly play out the same as the book, though if they did have any role maybe Kelsey’s friends or something?? I’m not sure

I am a lowly Heikazuscara shipper bc I can So here’s my little thoughts on it:

~Scaramouche~ -

*Sigh* We’re starting off strong. Met Heizou through Kazuha & though it took a while for him to warm up, fell in love & fell hard. (He’s very glad to have them) In public very cold & kinda rude but chilling w/them alone? Clingy. Still like, a lil salty, but definitely being held by one of them at all times. Doesn’t really have nicknames but occasionally calls Kazuha, “Kazu”, “Hates” when the other two give him nicknames. (he doesn’t hate it, he gets all embarrassed but is glad to know they do actually like him. Probably kicking his feet about it honestly) Is actually a big fan of dates no matter how much he complains beforehand. (Also if this was modern, his clothes would be stolen the most. Heizou would probably fit them but they’d be a bit too big for Kazuha)

~Kazuha~ -

This poor poor boy. Is the ONLY reason Scaramouche hasn’t murdered Heizou due to his snide remarks. Chaotic good, introduced the boys to one another, likes taking them on lil outings, probably sets up picnic dates. Few times he will get memories of Tomo, but the two boys quickly pick up on it & try to distract him. Kazuha gets nicknames the most but he’ll call Scaramouche, “Scara” & Heizou, “Zouzou” (yes they’re names are supposed to match, yes scara is indeed jealous) Not as innocent as you’d expect, definitely broken a few rules (Heizou has yelled at him for it a few times), but is probably the least energy of the trio despite being chaotic.

~Heizou~ -

Oh boy. Carries two pairs of handcuffs & calls them friendship bracelets :} The most flirtatious of the three but it’s all a facade; If one of them says something back, or they team up against him, Heizou will be on the floor in embarrassment. Calls Kazuha “Zuzu” & Scaramouche “Mouche” (at first to piss him off but then it stuck) The most energy of them, converting said energy into dumb jokes/pickup lines (where did he learn them…?) No matter how much it looks like Heizou & Scaramouche don’t get along, they’re actually quite good for each other. The beginning was rough, sure; one was jealous, one was shy (woah, crazy), yet it worked out. Thanks to Kazuha of course, but still.

I’ll add on later, maybe even write a little something if I find good inspo.

Unmmm first I think Hanako and Nene confessed firsttt and then Kou just pined for them for like ever until they both noticed something was wrong and wouldn’t leave him alone til he told them

Kou was straight before he met them they were his bisexual awakening

They’d take turns making snacks for each other every Friday. Hanako usually gets thre mokke to help him tho. Yashiro makes donuts everytime while Kou rlly likes to spice it up. Hanakos stuck at the school so yashiro and kou will bring him cookbooks so he can pick something to make.

Hanakos love language is physical touch, Kous is gift giving, and Yashiros is quality time. Hence why she doesn’t DESPISE cleaning the bathroom even if it’s annoying sometimes

Hanako probably kisses the most. He likes giving little kisses. Yashiro gets all worked up about it she’s flustered easily

All of them are at least a little prone to jealousy (not of each other, of other people) but Hanako is the most jealous and kou is the least.

Yashiro likes to stay the night at thhe school sometimes to stay with Hanako and eventually kou does too. Teru doesn’t like that but I don’t like teru so whatever!

Thhe mokke are Like their weird kids. They teach them things

Hanako likes bothering yashiro in class more than kou (he thinks her reactions are funnier) but he does sometimes go to see kou as well. He likes swiping Kous things and hiding them because he thinks it’s funny

Kou gets yashiro and Hanako tons of gifts he loves it more than anything. You tell him you like something and boom you have it. He probably also has a spending problem so he tries to go for gifts he can make (esp food)

Yashiro will do anything in her power to drag kou or Hanako along with her to go places. It’s hard with Hanako since he can’t leave the school, but he tends to find things they can do together. Kou is down for anything but when it comes to asking yashiro to go somewhere with him he gets nervous. Idk he seems like he’s also a brushy loser

Hanako is chill af until someone reciprocates his feelings. Like sure he’s sooo cool and he gave yashiro that little kiss and he grins and thinks he’s the shit but god forbid one of them kiss HIM then he’s losing his mind

Yashiro likes compatibility tests. Even if they say they’re not compatible she won’t care but she thinks they’re fun anyways. And it just adds onto the running joke of Hanako and kou not being “her type”

I don’t write fanfic but I’d really like to see something where someone explores ST4 if both Nancy and Jonathan had got on a plane/drove to see each other for spring break without telling the other their plans, so they still end up separated but with different teams for the events of the season.

I think Fred would see Jonathan around town and badger him about miscommunicating with Nancy again but somehow ropes him into the investigation of Chrissy’s death for the newspaper. They’d find out about Creel still because they approach the search like WWND (What Would Nancy Do?) coz they try to one up each other on who knows her best lmao

Jonathan going to Hawkin’s would have been a last minute panic decision thing for him so he might not have had time to tell Argyle, so Nancy meets him when he comes looking for Jonathan. She’s confused at first why Jonathan’s friends with him mainly coz he doesn’t fit the image of Jonathan’s life in Lenora that she had in her head the last year, but she sees how nice and carefree he is and eventually smokes up with him when he tells her she seems like she needs to chill out one to many times, and she’s like ‘oh? ooo, I am RELAXED and NOT STRESSED for the first time in my ENTIRE life. I get it now’

Idk where it would go from there, but the concept would be kinda awesome and would stop all that poorly scripted Stancy stuff that was going on lol. Even if they want Stancy to be endgame, there are so many better ways they could have gone about it that didn’t trash all over everyone’s character development

The rain tapped on the window, forming a quaint rhythmic pattern that seemed to synchronise with the faint streaks of sunlight dancing through the sparse clouds. It was hardly dark and gloomy like most rainy days seemed to feel like nowadays; it was a delicate sunshower, a rare blessing bestowed upon this post-apocalyptic world and its inhabitants. The air was colder than most days, the misty air a welcome reprieve from the relentless heat that usually dominated their days...

X lay across the leather sofa, flicking through a book they’d scavenged on the last supply run. It was some cheesy rom-com, something they never would have found enjoyable before, but now that life has turned on its head, well, it was a nice distraction. They couldn’t help but let out a few laughs here and there at the corny one-liners and misplaced jokes. Their eyes carefully scanned each line, flicking from one page to the next. The distant, wilted notes of an old song drifted in an unfamiliar yet strangely comforting tune that X found themselves humming along to.

Shamefully, with no bookmark in sight, they bent the corner over the page they were on and sat the book down as they got up. The mystery of the music tugged at X’s curiosity and determined to locate the source, their peaceful day off was officially disturbed. They slipped away from their cozy room and began the search for the source of the melodic tunes. They sounded far away, but moving swiftly and noiselessly, X found themselves descending the stairs to the factory floor, where the music grew slightly louder. 

Strangely enough, the room looked a bit more empty than usual, peaking their interest even more. The music intensified in a long, dimly lit corridor, shadows dancing across the walls cast by the sporadic flickering of old bulbs... X took each step with an extra layer of caution, senses on high alert.

At the end of the hallway was a medium-sized room crammed with people, what looked like workers, and a few younger Saviours that X didn’t recognise. At the forefront of them all was none other than Simon, speaking just loud enough to be heard over the music. His demeanour gave off the impression that whatever was going on, Negan wouldn’t like it. The once familiar loyalty was being overshadowed by a growing discontent.

Fear mingled with fascination as X observed the scene before them, edging closer to catch snippets of what was being said. Simon spoke out of frustration and determination, the crowd all murmuring in agreement with him. As a chill shuttered through them, they realised what must be done. There was no other choice but to tell Negan… Who was not at the Sanctuary today.

X turned tail and silently ran out back down the hallway. Panicked thoughts raced through their mind as they retraced their steps, fleeing the scene of whatever it truly was that they witnessed. Stopping once they reached the main factor floor and glancing around nervously, they leaned on a wall momentarily before moving towards the stairs. If anyone in that room knew they had been snooping, who knows what would happen. Lying wasn’t one of their strong suits. And, sure, Negan might not be the best guy out there, but that didn’t seem to phase anyone else around here too much. No, instead, they all worried about how he handled the Sanctuary and its adversaries. How motivated he was. Ridiculous.

“He’s really sunk his claws in me deep, huh,” X mumbled to themselves as they inched back towards their room. The weight of the whole situation and the choice they had in their hands was becoming increasingly apparent. Caught in the crossfires of a fight they never asked to be a part of

Everyone in this world was playing a game of tug-of-war for control, and the only way to keep it from getting too ugly was to nip it in the bud. In the relative solitude of their room, X let out a frustrated exhale as they slumped against the door, feeling a whirlwind of emotions. It might have been selfish, but they couldn’t stand their newfound sense of normalcy being uprooted. The Sanctuary had become their refuge, their source of stability, and that included Negan. Besides, it’s not like Simon was looking out for the great or good, just himself. 

The rain outside fell heavier now, dark clouds rolling in and casting a shadow over the room. Still, the sound of wind and the trickling of water offered a soothing backdrop to X’s inner turmoil. They wanted so desperately to just stand by and watch as whatever happened unfolded, but of course, their thoughts trailed back to Negan. They didn’t want to consider what would even happen if he was gone.

Pushing themselves up and moving towards their bed, X sat and watched out the window at the rain-soaked world beyond. They didn’t want to be the one to kick the hornet’s nest, but shit, it looked like the hornets were riling themselves up all on their own. And god dammit if they were just going to sit by and get stung. Besides, if Negan found out on his own and realised that X knew, hell, that would be one shitstorm they weren’t ready for.

X stared out the drab window, lost in thought; a sudden movement caught their attention. Their eyes widened with anticipation as two large trucks and a smaller car came rolling in, the Sanctuary gates parting for their entry. As they stopped, X shot up out of bed at the sight of Negan, noticing him from his signature red scarf that stood out in the otherwise grey scene. The rain seemed to intensify with the moment, droplets drumming against the window pane as X anxiously watched Negan approach.

“Goddamn, it is raining hard as SHIT out there.” Negan mused as he ascended the stairs, his gaze landing on X, who was standing nearby, fiddling with the hem of their shirt. “Aw, now, did you wait up for me? Couldn’t stand bein’ away for a few hours?” He teased with a wicked grin.

“What? N-no, it wasn’t like that, I just-” X stammered, the weight of what they had overheard weighing heavy on their shoulders and practically short-circuiting their mind.

Negan closed the distance between them, wiping off a few of the droplets from his leather jacket. “Well ain’t that sweet? Missed me, did you?” his grin widened as his gaze locked with theirs.

They started to smile before remembering what they were there for, clearing their throat and standing taller, speaking in a hushed whisper, “Negan… I need to talk to you about something. Alone.”

His cheery demeanour faltered at their serious tone, slipping his hands into his pockets and nodding. “Well, shit, sweetheart, now you got me all curious.”

It was a storm outside, rain slamming into the factory and whistling wind disturbing the atmosphere. The sounds only grew louder as Negan took X to his room and reclined on the large black leather couch. X tentatively stepped farther into the room, glancing around the dark space and taking it all in before sitting on one of the plush seats adjacent to the couch. Their heart pounded in their chest, a trickle of sweat forming on the back of their neck as they braced themselves. Truthfully, they didn’t really want to say anything but felt obligated to do so. It was the right thing to do for them and the Sanctuary.

X looked down, fiddling with their hands in their lap with a somber expression plastered over their face. “Listen, Negan, I overheard something today… It might be nothing, I hope, or it might be something big.” They gulped down the lump forming in their throat.

Negan’s eyebrows furrowed, and leaned forward, his interest piqued. “What the hell was it?” His voice was much lower now, taking on a far more serious tone than before. 

Their legs began to bounce as they took a deep breath, glancing up and meeting Negan’s hard gaze, “It was Simon. I heard him talking to Dwight before and just thought it was nothing but today… He was talking to a group of people, stirring up something. Planting seeds of doubt about you.”

Negan’s expression darkened, an unreadable edge to his voice, “What the shit do you mean ‘seeds of doubt’?” he sounded more pissed off with each word, jaw clenching.

X continued, words tumbling out of them in a rush, “He called you weak, said things aren’t like they used to be. I think he was even hinting at him being about to run things better, I didn’t hear much.”

“Son of a bitch,” He muttered, leaning back in his seat and raising a hand to his face as he thought. “What about Dwight?”

They shook their head, “He didn’t entertain the idea.”

Negan stood up, grabbing Lucille from her position, leaning against the couch with a tight grip, and moving towards the door, “Be a doll and wait here for me.”

“Yes sir.” X squeaked out. It didn’t sound like a question.

Negan strode across the compound with a determined stride, practically radiating with anger. His heavy boots echoed across the factory as he made his way down to the factory floor, where he spotted Simon. He seemed to be in the middle of trying to solve some dispute two workers were having. The workers, however, fell quiet as they spotted Negan on his warpath, falling back into the crowd and leaving Simon. Simon glanced up, a smile creeping across his face.

“Hey there boss, what do I owe the pleasure?” He quipped with a laugh, turning himself to face the man.

“Well, look who’s playing peacemaker,” Negan chuckled, slinging Lucille over his shoulder. His tone was casual, but his eyes told another story, “A real stand-up fuckin’ guy, aren’t ya?

Simon’s attention shifted between Lucille and Negan, lips pulled into a thin smile. “Just doing my part, keepin’ things smooth. Don’t want these damn people tearin’ each other apart over who gets the last damn candy.”

Negan’s grin widened, that cocky, jovial tone intact, “Yeah, well that’s real noble of you.” his voice oozed with sarcasm, “But you see, Simon, I’ve been hearing some interesting shit lately.”

Simon opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by Negan, “Like how you’ve been trying to turn my own people against me. Tell me, Simon, you think I’m fuckin’ stupid?”

His eyes flickered with something resembling panic for a moment before regaining his composure, “Negan, I have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m just here to keep things together like you.”

Negan’s grin turned into something almost sinister. “Bull-fucking-shit. Now, I can see your motives for pulling some dumb shit like this, but I can’t see any reason X would have to lie about this.”

Simon’s face twisted into a grimace, eyes now a sharpened glare. “You trust the fucking new kid over your own right-hand, huh? Isn’t that a fucking joke.”

Negan’s grin faded, tightening his grip on Lucille and taking a step closer. A nervous crowd had gathered to watch the ordeal like some sort of mediaeval public execution. The room was quiet other than the two men.  

“It is about loyalty and respect, Simon, and I sure as shit can tell when someones got their hand in the cookie jar.”

Simon sneered, his voice dripping with insolence. “Respect? Loyalty? Maybe you should take a look around, big man. People are starting to wonder if your way is our way.” he scoffed, “And, you know, we all think it’s pretty interesting how you’ve taken a shine to the new kid. Giving them special treatment, fast-tracking them to where they are and for what? What the hell do they have other than a tight ass?”

Negan inhaled slowly, a smirk spreading across his face, “Hey, what can I say, can’t resist a pretty face and a pair of legs. You know how it is.” His voice was calm and sarcastic, his words an indirect challenge.

“You think this is a joke, Negan?” Simon spat, nostrils flaring as he stepped forward.

Negan’s eyes gleamed as he ran his one free hand through his hair. “No, Simon, I think you’re a joke.” 

It happened in a blur, his hand moving to Lucillie’s handle in a swift motion before swinging hard and fast. The bat connected with a sickening thud against Simon’s face, barbed wire digging into his skin on impact as the hardwood reverberated against his head. The crack of bone was drowned out by the gasps of the onlookers, all taking a collective step back before quickly falling back into silence. Negan shook some of the blood and gore off Lucille before propping her back on his shoulder with a satisfied sigh; Simon slumped on the ground.

“Dead or not, someone go tie this dickwad to the fuckin’ fence.”

Espresso already gets completely sundered by the fandom bc of a certain ship (where he’s basically just a side piece to madeleine) (this also happens the other way around but not as bad tbh the community actually lets madeleine interact with other people) but there’s so much potential here with eclair. Like okay it’s funny to see espresso and maddie interact because most of the smart jargon espresso talks up goes right over madeleines smooth paladin brain BUT CONSIDER!!!!! Espresso having a battle of the wits with someone just as smart as him, just in a different subject!!!!

Like latte is way too nice to ever butt heads with espresso BUT ECLAIR I FEEL LIKE COULD TOTALLY DISH IT OUT AS IT COMES IN!!!! Maybe they exchange banter that seems chill on the outside but close friends know that they are out to kill. Maybe they get stuck on a project together because of espressos magic and eclairs history knowledge. And mmmmaybe along the road to disliking each other and each thinking the other is a pompous know-it-all they might become friends 👉👈 maybe they’d see the common ground between each other and bond over it and they could talk about their armored companions (espresso thinks eclair should drop tea knight and run, while eclair thinks espresso should be more kind to madeleine). Idk man espresso just needs friends that he actually likes and eclair needs someone to talk to besides his relics. Scientist social club anybody?

okay here’s my reviews of the mcr concert yesterday (21.05.22)

first off; getting to milton keynes was something. it’s not exactly easy to get to or leave.

the concert itself was fantastic, especially for my first concert in an arena.

i got there just after the doors opener and getting in was very quick, which was wonderful! from when i (and my friend) got here to when we got in felt like it was about 20 minutes, which for such a size stadium seems great! idk if it was actually that time or if the crowd was so great, because the crowd was so nice!

everyone i met was lovely, and there were even a couple making joke about shoving because the crowd was so polite (like they’d been to metal concerts and it was jokes about the pushing they’d experienced). i know i jokingly called the train station at milton keynes the gathering of the juggalos but for emos but afaics it was really that!

then we were in! we got to our seats so quick it was great, and we sat for about an hour before cassyette came on stage, it was that efficient (and me and my friend did makeup in the venue toilets (side note:they’re the best public toilets i’ve ever been in))!

cassyette was so good! i’ll admit i’ve never heard of her, and i only saw posters of her in the venue so i was expecting bubblegum pop egirl stuff (nothing wrong with that! it’s just not my thing!) but she gave a performance that was a sort of cross between metalcore and nu metal, and it was the best of the night save mcr. she was so good and honestly the best of the openers despite being the actual opener, and even if her studio music doesn’t quite meet up to the expectations of her live show she’s someone everyone should see once because it’s one’s or the best performances i’ve ever seen

then i met @scrapmetalroses! i saw her bag and complimented it cuz it slapped and then we recognised each other and it was super rad and insane that it of such a big arena across three shows we somehow met each other at the same show! the odds are so not in that favour that it’s insane but was a super cool moment!

the next act was barns courtney, and they weren’t bad! they were a sort of slightly glam act that reminds me of santa cruz meets gvf (at least in stadium - the speakers were a bit loud for my taste!) and the frontman seemed to expect a more receptive crowd than he got which made for a slightly cringy performance. but it was a still good performance and if they were widely known i think they’d be far better live in such an arena!

next was placebo! their set was pretty good! unfortunately i’m not a massive placebo fan so i didn’t recognise any song but ‘the bitter end’ and the level of distortion they like in their music didn’t vibe with the size of the stadium but brian’s vocals were so good, and their violinist was fantastic too! there was so long between barns courtney and them that it was a bit frustrating, but their performance was great from what i could tell, and i wish i could see them in a small venue cuz their sound would be so much better in a smaller venue! i’d definitely see again!

then there was about a half hour/forty minute wait until mcr came on

ngl it was frustrating seeing all the techs on stage but nothing happening band-wise, but then they came on stage, at about 8:55pm

It was so great that it made up for the wait. they started with foundations of decay, which is a beautiful opener, and then the concert got going! unfortunately i was so nervous about how to get home that i can’t remember what the second or third songs were so when they removed the flag backdrop to give views of a desolate city (i would give pics if i wasn’t so far back and my camera so shit) but it was phenomenal. the arena had been seated and half full apart from the pitch during the openers but by mcr it was almost packed! everyone was standing for the set, and hearing everyone sing all the words sent chills it was so good!

everyone had their phone torches up during summertime, which in the dusk light was magical. gerard gave a few little speeches, and which i have no transcripts he was so funny! he’s a great storyteller as well as a frontman, and i adore that!

the set was fantastic, though we left just before teenagers to catch the train, because milton keynes is in the middle of nowhere and so is my home, and so me and my friend left at about ten to see if we could catch the train home, and if they played a set closer to our homes we would see them again in heartbeat. it was 100% worth it (even the five hour journey home)

dbs super hero thoughts under the cut, spoilers and being kind of critical in general

disclaimer, i watched it online with not great sound quality, and who knows if the translation was spot on, but it sounded mostly right

it looked REALLY GOOD from what i could see. pans training with piccolo stood out to me for how good it looked. also loved all the redrawn shots from the anime. there WERE some scenes that were… wacky looking, particularly all the scenes on whatever beerus’s planet is called. i do wish it had leaned more into the superhero element? want more impact in the fight scenes. this is part of why pan’s training stood out.

some of the models looked kind of. meh. cheelai looked weird to me? krillin was weirdly skinny for a short ripped martial artist. tbh a lot of the characters just looked weirdly skinny compared to usual. also wish piccolo had his long nails but that’s just personal preference lmao

most of the characters who they shared the models for to get everyone excited for the movie were barely in it at all. like, 18 might have had three lines?? goten and trunks were barely there. krillin was FLANDERIZED. to be fair i don’t watch super so maybe it’s been that bad for a while, idk. but you’re telling me he wouldn’t go help?? HES EITHER THE STRONGEST OR SECOND STRONGEST HUMAN ALIVE (it’s him or tien) and yeah he’s always been one to try to get out of situations but to not even go help when his wife and basically nephews are in a life or death situation AND THE WORLD IS AT STAKE?? WHAT????? videl was barely in it at all, don’t know if she was even aware of her child being kidnapped. where tf is she walking around all the time on facetime, girls gonna get run over. her giving piccolo plushies as thanks for taking care of pan was kind of cute but like. this is so picky but it didn’t feel like a videl thing to me. id believe gohan did that before videl. BUT i LOVE getting some piccolo and videl interaction, they’re two of the most important people in gohans life. id love some real interaction also bc i think their characters could bounce off of each other well but that ship has sailed in canon especially since videl seems to be like. background wife character now. speaking of people who are now just background characters.

GOHAN. wtf did they do to my boy. SOMEONE NEEDS TO COUNT HIS MINUTES OF SCREEN TIME. i saw on peridodite’s blog (not tagging u bc i don’t wanna force someone to read all this lol) that it was supposedly a piccolo movie but they pushed for gohan to be in it, which makes a lot of sense. i’m sorry, but i want one or the other. i love gohan but i’d be fine with just a piccolo movie (gohan would make an appearance regardless, you know he would)! it would make way more sense! bc by forcing gohan to have to be relevant but not wanting to adjust the plot events too much, they make the whole thing into like… piccolos scheme to get gohan to fight? I WILL SAY they actually made piccolo seem pretty chill with gohan not training in this one, at least in the translation i had. he wanted to make him fight bc he’s like. their best bet. BUT. i think that was a bad move period. it’s not a good look to make the characters not try to fight their own battles or just ask for help directly. where did piccolos strong will and backbone go? he’s not against asking for help when he knows he’s down and he definitely isn’t against lying but like. him being like well i can’t do much and goku and vegeta aren’t here teehee didn’t make me too happy, but i don’t like the huge power divide now anyway.

but anyway, gohan is barely in it, but i liked a lot of his moments! him nearly destroying his house was GOOD. him not sensing piccolos ki… i thought they’d reveal it was a joke but they didn’t?? that just doesn’t make sense. he’s been able to easy sense his loved ones since saiyan saga.

i liked piccolo talking to shenron bc in what i watched it seemed like it was making a joke about how king piccolo murdered shenron and so shenron was scared, but i wasn’t sure if it was actually going for reverence towards kami or something, idk. but the fact that they can just… power up the dragon to grant them more power…. didn’t like it. and didn’t like that they wouldn’t just resort to training, they were like give me a power up! piccolos always been big on training. idk, it made the fight feel cheap.

the new forms SUCK. like oh god piccolo looked SOOOO cute and then his new forms are SO UGLY and just not good. very uncreative. would’ve loved something related to the dragon if we HAD to have new forms. gohans stupid hair dear lord. but i’d much prefer that no one had a new form, bc it was kind of forced into the plot with low stakes which made them feel less significant (super saiyan was a HUGE DEAL to achieve at first, for example). i still maintain that piccolo should’ve learned kaioken bc he could use it REALLY well given his regenerative abilities. gohan shouldn’t need a new form! he’s gohan!

also you’re really telling me these gammas are that powerful 💀

bringing back cell…. bad…. wasn’t a good design and bringing him back had zero impact given no one really responded accordingly. and that fight was really boring? the hits didn’t have impact, the obvious choice was to have piccolo or someone use makankosappo on the head thing bc IT’S MEANT TO PENETRATE. also when they were like someone has to sacrifice themselves kind of surprised piccolo wasn’t just like ok cool i’ll do it bc he’s never shied away from self sacrifice lol. but again, there wasn’t any weight to it.

you can have weight in dragon ball movies, broly proved it! you can know everyone will ultimately be ok but still make care bc you wonder how the arc will resolve for the characters and how they’ll be affected! but like. nothing really happened. gohans change just felt weird? idk.

the villains got a LOT of time but there were a lot of them and they didn’t do a great job with their time making you invested. i didn’t care about any of them. i’m sorry but when gamma 2 (?) died i felt nothing. and it’s not like i went into this movie planning to hate them! i was SOOOO hype for this movie, but i was like oh. ok. i don’t even dislike any of them i’m just perfectly neutral. i don’t remember the gero grandsons name but he had a little more appeal bc he’s clearly like a brat but also just wants to do good ultimately? and he’s smart but stupid in that he has no common sense and got fooled really easily, which was endearing to me in this case. but also i don’t even remember his name.

oh yeah my thing didn’t have a post credits scene so i’m wondering what that is lol

it was cool to hear piccolo refer to goku as goku, i immediately noticed since he’s usually like SON. his japanese va is awesome as always. and there were definitely cute antics! i liked him clawing at gohans window, trying to drive the plane… pan was cute.

GOKU AND VEGETA. HNGHHHHHH I WAS MAD. you’re telling me GOKU needs to learn patience in fighting, but vegeta is better than him at it?? SUPER GOKU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU

At least the final scene with those two it seemed like they made it ambiguous whether or not goku pretended to lose to vegeta

there are definitely other things im forgetting right now bc it has been a minute but. overall it wasn’t great, i was honestly kind of disappointed bc i was looking forward to it for a long time, piccolos my favorite. BUT. it wasn’t terrible! i know i was very critical here but i didn’t hate it. probably a better experience in a theatre setting, the fights might have been better with better sound. would’ve liked more of superhero elements (where r u saiyaman…. we need u……..). definitely wayyyyy inferior to the broly movie. kind of at the same level as like. tree of might.

KinnPorsche Finale Episode 14 Live Blogging

Been a while since I waited for an episode since I'm a binger (pretty sure last time was 2gether one of the later episodes lol like ep 11 or smth), so this is fun!

I don't know what I want in this episode... They're gonna explain Porsche's parents' deaths, have the main vs second family shootout, and probably give us more cute Kinn and Porsche. Maybe Kim and Chay will stay broken up, not sure.

Vegas and Pete are what I'm worried about most because I cannot see any satisfying ending for them. If they somehow speed it up real fast so that their arc kinda ends/has a happy ending in the finale, it might cheapen their story and not really hit. If they keep it dangling with nothing resolved, I'll be annoyed because who even knows if season 2 will come to fruition, if it'll be good, if I'll even be into BLs then, agh.

Idk idk, here's to hoping for the best I guess.

It's actually interesting how night and day my reactions to VegasPete vs KinnPorsche scenes are rip. Like the plot/action/violence scenes are like excitement 4-6 depending on how interesting the plot point is, KinnPorsche are like 3-6 and VegasPete are 8-9, I'm literally smiling wide because I'm about to watch the final VegasPete scene of the season and I just read that it's a cute scene

Okay, cute, sure. Is it quite what I wanted? Especially after how dark the rest of their story has been? How much depth it had? Not quite but like sure. Fine. Cute. Somewhat unearned and the shift from Vegas getting fucking shot x3 to that was certainly a choice but like still cute. Too cute and like family-friendly fluff, I might say, considering their relationship thus far but sure why not. (EDIT: It's been less than 24 hours but there are a handful of VegasPete post-canon fics already and I'm reading through them. I think the ones that write this hospital scene or a bit after it with an edge are doing really well and delivering what I would've wanted. The ones that are like Pete can be both Vegas' pet and the most important person in his life? Yes. Exactly what I'm looking for right now)

That was a fairly fine finale as long as I think 0 thoughts about it (VegasPete garage shootout scene + pool side scene not included). The shootout was fun enough, I liked getting ruthless Vegas using bodyguards as human shields. The mystery/explanations of what happened to Porsche's parents were... well... The writing's weak but also how can Porsche be so happy and calm about it? Shouldn't they be angrier and more distrustful of Korn? For hiding away their mother, for leaving them to fend for themselves, for lying to Porsche about what happened again and again (no but literally who is that man who Korn was like hm he killed your parents). It's just kinda interesting that the audience is like wtf Korn is evil but they made Porsche so stupid and somehow complacent that he doesn't see/challenge Korn. I didn't give a fuck about the major and minor family stuff (why is Porsche even taking the position? I guess it's in the book?), like they do way too little mafia stuff to care about things like this lol

The two VegasPete scenes were so good because it felt like them and the after-credits VegasPete scene felt too cute for what we've gotten of them so far but it was still good because it was cute and we get a cute little family with Macau there as well.

Also, I went on Twitter and knew that there was of Vegas and Pete in a white room, so I knew Vegas wasn't dead when he was shot because that scene wasn't there yet. I wish I'd just finished watching the episode before going on Twitter lol, I think the pool side scene would've impacted me a lot more if I didn't know 100% that they had a happy ending.

Overall:

Extremely weak plot. Extremely weak character development for Kinn and Porsche. How did they manage to make me not at all care about, and sometimes even dislike, KP when I was literally so ready to love them? I was even reading fic for them from before the show aired. Many side characters are under developed and thus don't hold any emotional weight (ex. Ken and Big). Also, Kim's love life is a dead-end and also his investigation didn't turn up anything, so there was no progress for him lol. Korn's evil, the audience can tell but the characters cannot for some reason. Also, the weak writing meant the pacing was off and we spent a lot of time meandering or watching stuff I hardly cared about. Not to mention the plethora of plot holes or the many story threads they just dropped/forgot about.

Vegas and Pete were freaking great. Unexpectedly great considering how weak other aspects of writing were. If there was just a bit more meat to their story after Vegas is shot in the this episode and before we get cute, adorable, cuddle pile with no problems, they would've given me everything I wanted. I'm just amazed they gave me nearly everything I wanted. Not to mention my ultimate weakness: food as love language.

Great acting from the cast, very impressive considering it's the first acting job for several actors. Would be curious to see them in more.

It looked sleek and like there was money put into the show, which there was.

If there's a next season, please get better writers my gosh.

I think the rating is actually more like a 6.5 on enjoyment scale but I'll give it a 7 because I'm reading so much fic. It may not make sense why that would affect the rating of a show but for me, it does make a difference if I care about the characters enough to go seek out more content about them and for VegasPete, I do. I hope someone writes a good fic about what happens in the 1 month that gets Vegas and Pete to become so comfortable and cute instead of Vegas apparently having just woken up then.
