OKAY PEOPLE HEAR ME OUT

I’m usually an AU machine and Dungeon Meshi doesn’t escape its fate, so HERE GOES, modern days au, ice skating

Chilchuck is an ice skater, but he can’t make it professionally cause his small stature keeps him from clearing the minimal jump heights required in figure skating. He could however, compete in ice dancing (which scoring system is different and the required jumps are lower) BUT also because of his own height, no one really wants to partner with him. He’s also somewhat of an asshole, so he doesn’t exactly have the best rep around here.

Nonetheless, he trains tirelessly, hard at work and hoping to be able to enter competition one day. He’s friend with, and trains at the same rink as famous ice dancers couple on and off the ice Falyn Touden and Marcille Donato, 4 times world champs.

Everything change when Laios, Falyn’s brother, comes back home after living abroad, after being banned from figure skating competitions, because he keeps USING WEIRD, FORBIDDEN MOVES like the back summersault or shit like that. He did, before that, win several prizes (2 internationals gold medals and 1 world bronze), but now because of his weirdos antics he gotta retire from competitive figure skating. He visits his sister and her partner/wife, and immediately takes an interest in the lonely tiny guy who is cleaning flawless jumps and spins (chilchuck’s speciality is the axel, especially the triple, which is a notoriously difficult one) in a corner of the rink, and still laios never heard of the guy despite his level. Falyn and Marcille explains the situation to him and now he only has one idea: partnering with chilchuck for ice dancing competitions.

Chilchuck is A LITTLE weirded out by the new guy (he wants to throw him in a fire ring or something, the fuck is wrong with this dude), but after some (a lot) of insistence from laios, he accepts.

The great thing about that is that thanks to laios’s massive corpulence and strenght and chil’s super light frame they can do couple figures usually VERY hard to pull off, if not impossible, making them a force to reckon with in competition.

And somewhere along the lines, they fuck, and fall in love. (In that order)

I HOPE THIS ISN’T,,, CRINGE (eng dub chil’s voice), I genuinely adores making up aus and I love ice skatings aus and THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES….. all the nices poses to draw laios and chil, laios holding up chil in intricate and beautiful position on the ice…

Also, yes, most of those are modeled after Yuzuru Hanyu, because he has exactly the body type i picture Chilchuck with for this au.

Here's my Ice Skating AU! and some history 🫶🏻✨

Venti and Bard are twins who have been figure skating all their live! They have won many tournaments, Bard is the support and Venti is thrown into the air, but Bard loves to try new things! then he proposes that one of the movements be to throw Venti and then Venti throw him! Venti is not very sure but he will try! In training they have some failures, but Bard wants to go ahead with it! and in the tournament...Things go wrong! Venti throws Bard wrong and he ends up doing his spin wrong and falls breaking his leg on the ice!!

They have to operate and the doctor says that he will not be able to do jumps or pirouettes again, his knee could dislodge very easily (That's why now he usually wears a medical knee brace) Venti feels guilty about this, so if his brother is not going to skate anymore neither does he!! Bard wants Venti to continue, but Venti doesn't want to... One day, they both go to the ice rink in Mondstadt, Bard wants to work there and Venti accompanies him, not liking the idea, while his brother is in an interview with the boss, he listen to someone on the rink and see Zhongli skate beautifully!

At first Venti doesn't recognize the best solo skater in the world lol! They skate together and it's wonderful! Bard sees all this and is happy that Venti is skating again! Zhongli had previously skated as a pair but his partner became ill and did not return (Azhdaha!) So he has bittersweet feelings about this but accepts Bard's offer to do a collaboration with his brother! Bard becomes Venti's trainer (Zhongli has Cloud Retainer lol) In training they meet more characters!! Knight is Diluc and Kaeya's trainer (He is a Bard fan AJFJSJS) Knight will be excited to have Bard so close now (Although Knight is sad about the accident, he wants to continue watching him skate) since they are all from Mondstadt Bard dared to approach Knight to ask for some advice! They end up getting together ehehe I have their lore in mind but that for another day! There are more characters from other nations here!

About the frog mitten... I did a roleplay with the homie about how they meet on the ice! And Zhongli was wearing fancy gloves while Venti was wearing those… frogs PFFPFP THATS ALL! Im so happy with this AU! 🙏🏻✨

You can’t give me Ice power ups and then give the hero’s the worst designs ever, so I redesigned them with my adult Ladynoir! Made them look more like figure skaters and added a bit more fur with crystals since the power up Wiki said they have crystals on their bodies.

Also I’m a sucker for sparkles.

I drew older Ladynoir a year ago and used some of their design aspects with their updated designs.

You can also bet my ass that I’m drawing them in romantic figure skater poses.

“Babe-babe. Calm on, we were supposed to get the ice half an hour ago!”

You didn’t reply, as you round the rink one more time, glancing over your shoulder as you skate backwards, before attempting to do another triple Lutz, landing albeit, a bit wobbly.

“She’s not gonna get off until she’s happy with her landing.” Logan said as he leaned against the outside of the rink, using the towel that hung on his shoulders to wipe some sweat away from his face. “Coach finally decided to put it into the program, and now she’s determined to perfect the move.” And to be fair, you were improving greatly at it, you don’t land on your ass anymore, but maybe it’s the whole “wanting to be in the next Olympics” thing you’ve got going on, but you were determined to keep going until you were satisfied.

“Come on Mig, your her boyfriend, go do something.” One of his teammates told him, his tone clearly agitated as he whined. Miguel shot him a quick glare (because he can complain about you taking up the hockey team’s rink time all he wants, but he’ll be damned if another one of the guys even rolls his eyes at you), before putting his helmet and stick on the ground, stepping on the ice just as you prepped for another go at the move. You barely got time to look over your shoulder when you hear the noise of other skates slashing the ice when you let out a squeal of surprise from the sudden feeling of patted arms going around your waist and lifting you off the ice, you didn’t even have to glance back to know who it was, mostly because this had become a somewhat common occurrence for you.

“Miguel!”

“Nope. Don’t wanna hear it princesa. You know how this works.” His tone was one of scolding, which only made you roll your eyes because you knew that he had that smug smirk on his face. You could only cross your arms as you wait for him to skate you back to the entrance of the ring. (Princess)

“See you after practice?” He asked as he placed you back down, helping you out of the rink, once you were off the rest of his team hurried on the ice to set up the goals.

“Yeah, yeah.” Despite your best efforts to look upset, you could help the smile that crept onto your face. “We’re gonna go to that taco truck right?”

He just nodded, placing his hands on your hips and pulling you towards him, smiling softly as he pulls you into a kiss, your hands automatically going to rest on his chest.

“Hey lovebirds! Get a room!”

“Come on (Y/N), we need our captain!”

Miguel pulled away and let out an annoyed huff as you covered your laugh with your hand, the spiders just loved to pick on you guys. Miguel gave you one last peck before going up to join the rest of his team on the ice, while you put on your skate guards, not even attempting to hide the smile on your face as Logan made kissy faces at you in a lighthearted attempt to mock you.
