Day 7: Fly, On My Love/Free Day
This is my love letter to Digimon.
I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life. Lots of times when I forgot who I was. And when I forgot, I'd always come back to Digimon.
It would honestly be hard for me to be who I am today without Digimon. While Adventure 02 and Frontier were what really resonated with me, Adventure will always have a special place in my heart, solidifying my affection for isekai-hero-adventure stories (which started with Animorphs, moved to Digimon here, and then eventually propelled me into the Persona franchise, but that's a whole novel of a story that is not one to tell now).
Adventure touched me in a way that other cartoons at the time didn't. It introduced me to characters that struggled just like I did and overcame their problems. It introduced me to characters that were 'real' enough that I wished I could have friends like them.
And it gave me an escape I so desperately wanted in my dark childhood.
Nowadays, it is nostalgia, but it's still an adventure. I'm glad to see these 7 young kids that went to camp one summer and live in a digital land to grow up beside me, go to college, question their futures, and continue living past the struggles of their childhood that carried into their adulthood. This anime helped shape who I am now, and is still helping me through my own adulthood as I find my way through art, storytelling, and streaming.
Tumblr media
Small shameless plug, but since the 20th anniversary of Digimon, I have been streaming on Twitch a Digimon game every Friday just to continue my adventure as well as bring others along on said adventure. I'm happy to share my love for what touched me as a child and hope that Digimon or myself will be a help to others as Digimon was to me.
That said, just above is my Digimon Adventure PSP Stream Title Card from 2020, which is also my 20th anniversary art for Digimon Adventure.
This is not my last post for Adventure week. I’ll be going above and beyond to answer the Bonus 3 questions over the next 3 days.
Thank you Tai, Agumon, Sora, Biyomon, Yamato, Gabumon, Izzy, Tentomon, Mimi, Palmon, Joe, Gomamon, Takeru, Patamon, Kari, and Tailmon. Thank you Digimon Adventure.
きっと飛べるさ On my love

Plastic Skies - Model 13: F-15E Strike Eagle "Garuda 1"
Tumblr media
Near the end of last year, I bought a sheet of bootleg decals to make my Mobius-1 F-22 Raptor (as seen here!). The sheet had a lot more decals than just the Mobius ones. Some were for planes I had no interest in doing, some ended up in my old decal-less Berkut model, and some inspired the model I'd end up building right after the Area 88 Tiger. After all, I knew sooner or later I'd end up making an F-15. Even if I'm not its biggest fan.
Yeah, yeah, I dunno, I just don't like the F-15 Eagle. I know it's the backbone of the USAF and a fantastic plane and it does everything and the story of how it was conceived is super funny, but there's something about it that just doesn't spark anything in me. It's just... a fighter plane. Much like the Flanker platform, it always felt like the most standard example of Fighter Jet to me, without the cool swing wings of the Tomcat or the sleek small shape of the F-16. There's no such thing as a boring fighter jet, but the F-15 is close.
That's not to say we don't have some history. One of the last models my brother built back when we were kids was an absolutely massive (for us) 1/48 scale Eagle. As with all our models, it was glued together and not much else, and I distinctively remember it losing one of its tail fins somewhere underneath a bed. Still, the thing was huge to us, and I always remember it as the biggest model we ever had. But that's about as much fondness as I have for the Eagle.
Or at least, as much as I had until Ace Combat happened.
Tumblr media
Although the Eagle is very prominent in several AC games, the important one for this model is Ace Combat 6: Fires of Rubi--I mean Fires of Liberation, for the Xbox 360. This was one of the very last Ace Combat games I tried during my "I want to play all of them phase", since although PS1, PS2, PSP and 3DS emulation are all pretty good right now, Xbox 360 emulation is not quite there, and has apparently been not quite there for years now. I should know, I tried. But earlier this year, a very generous and dear friend of mine offered me an old Xbox 360 which he'd come into possession and was using to try some cool hacker stuff. And soon, I was finally getting to play AC6.
Tumblr media
The game itself is great, as are all Ace Combats. It has a really interesting "large-scale battle" system, where different units are doing their own thing and you can choose which ones to support. It has the first appearance of high-g turns, which I love. It has a killer soundtrack, but that's no surprise. It has a really frustrating boss fight followed by a really amazing final level. And it has one of the most gloriously OP fictional jets in the series. Its story isn't quite as engaging as the PS2 games but I'm very glad I played it. And as seen above, the game's cover star is the F-15E, a plane for which I already had the decals to make.
So as I was finishing up the Tiger, I knew what the next project would be.
Tumblr media
This was also going to be my first Academy model kit. Academy is a Korean model kit company that as far as I can tell sits quite comfortably in the middle ground of model kit quality. They make decent stuff for a good price with solid plastic quality, although some reviewers note a few glaring accuracy issues. I don't really care about accuracy when it comes to models, especially not at the price I found this, so I got to work pretty quickly.
Tumblr media
The cockpit was the first step. Emboldened by my work on the Tiger, I tried to really make it shine this time, adding those little extra dabs of red to the flightsticks and other touches. Unfortunately, the decal sheets were a bit too wide for the panels, so they ended up getting warped and stretched. It looks pretty bad, but once inside the plane, I figured it wouldn't be visible. And I was right! Althouh what is visible are some of the corners where I skimped or forgot to paint, something which I'm definitely trying to work on in my latest kits.
Tumblr media
The main fuselage was a much easier fit than the Raptor, although not quite as easy as the Tiger. The Eagle is a big motherfucker, after all, so putting it together requires a lot of pressure in different spots. Unfortunately, it also resulted in some plastic melting around a few corners, but only in the underside, and only on one wing. It was still a good lesson that made me want to invest in better cement, but it'd take a while for me to actually do it.
Tumblr media
I decided the next step would be the nozzles, which is where this particular kit goes a bit fucking nuts. The F-15's thrusters feature external fairing arms for their variable geometry nozzles, which is way easier to explain with a picture:
Tumblr media
And if you're observant, you can go back to that first picture of all the model's sprues and see how this kit handles that. But just in case:
Tumblr media
The parts in green are the 30 (!) parts necessary to build just the two exhaust nozzles. The parts in orange are Academy offering people who aren't insane a way out, with two fully built nozzles with "turkey feather" panels instead of the arms. Which is very thoughtful of them, but after 12 models, I guess I was feeling a bit insane.
Tumblr media
Admittedly, it wasn't rough sailing. The panels themselves didn't fit as well as I would've liked, and the faring arms required a very delicate touch. Still, I figured it'd all look at least decent once I went in with my beloved burnt iron paint, and sure enough, the end result was mostly fine.
Tumblr media
Around this time, I started running into what's become my weak point this far into model building: indecisiveness. It's easy to think that models are "put them together first, then paint, then decals, then varnish, then panel lining, then clear coat", and some cheap kits are perfectly capable of following that order. But the more experienced I get and the bigger kits I try, the more I find myself playing with that order, doing things like painting certain parts of the plane first before gluing, or even fully detailing things like tail wings before I'm even done painting the fuselage.
Which sounds smart and is the way to do until you're staring at four different tasks and you just don't know what you should start on now. In this model's case, one of the biggest problems was armaments.
Tumblr media
This isn't even all of it, btw. This is still missing the eight other missiles I also had to paint. Though I will say, as messy as the yellow tips on the Mk 82 bombs are, I'm still a little proud of the way I figured out to paint them roughly similar:
Tumblr media
It's not perfect, but nothing is. However, the armaments thing was something that bothered me all the way to the end of the build.
Tumblr media
Painting the fuselage was a way different story. One of the reasons why I chose AC6's F-15 was precisely because it's just one big color. No camo jobs, no masking tape save for the yellow bits on the tail wings, just me and my brushes and a newly bought box of Revell Greenish Grey paint. That paint is... an odd one. Looks absolutely disgusting when wet, like the insides of a toilet after eating some very unhealthy food, but once it dries out and especially once varnished it looks... kinda cool? Kinda awesome? It just has way more personality than the usual air superiority grays of most USAF fighters.
Tumblr media
The other part of the build that was surprisingly comfortable was the landing gear, since this model only has one door for each gear. Made the whole thing go by in a breeze, and before I knew it, I was already putting in the decals. At least the big ones. Admittedly, they're not 100% game accurate, since AC6 uses low visibility versions of the emblems and such, but they were there and I wasn't not gonna use them.
Tumblr media
Panel lining was also shockingly easy for this kit. Although I'm still pretty lousy at it, the kit's panel lines were very well defined and easy to get the paint in. Compared to other kits I've had, this one was very well behaved when it came to this step. Sooner than I'd expected, the whole thing seemed almost ready to be done. I just had to finish the armaments and we'd be all done.
Tumblr media
So... yeah. You might notice something missing here. As it turns out, this kit doesn't actually have enough parts to put the 12 green bombs I'd painted besides the Mk 82. They're supposed to go three alongside the edges of the conformal fuel tanks (where the missiles now are) and three on the little chunks poking out of the sides. But for whatever reason, this kit only has four of those little chunks instead of six. And due to some issues with the instructions, I think I also glued the ones it did have wrong.
On top of that, I had some issues gluing the hardpoints with the Sidewinders and Mk-82 bombs to the wings, mostly because hey, protip: gluing stuff that's already painted and varnished is waaaay harder than gluing stuff when it's fresh off the box. But I just had to be a smart boy and get all the panel lining done first... Very frustrating, especially after realizing this, too, isn't game accurate. But it'd never really been my goal to make something perfectly accurate to the game. Like with the Raptor, like with every kit I make, I'll always choose what looks good to me over what looks closer to the real (or virtual) thing.
Tumblr media
Eventually, the whole thing was done. Painting the cockpit was tricky but I've lost a lot of my old fears about it these days. And once the whole thing was varnished, I found myself really liking what I was seeing. The long nose, the beefy wings, the shiny engines... Maybe I'd been wrong about the F-15 all this time. Maybe it isn't really a boring jet. Maybe I just needed to let it back into my heart. And although it gave me a real tough time in a bunch of places, at the end it's low-key one of my favorite models so far, and a nice homage to an unsung game.
Tumblr media
And it looks pretty cool on the Area 88 base too.

so after i got the information that in the console versions of the pixel remasters you can switch to the OG soundtrack i caved in and with the power of my amassed nintendo gold points got the ff2 pixel remaster yesterday evening. (context: i'm a pixel remaster hater) (but I'm also on my quest to having played every version of this game available)
i've played about an hour so far (just delivered the mithril) and here's my observations:
while i still think the character sprite work is only rivaled by the psp version in ugliness i have to admit overall it looks better than at least the psp version. the battle effects (like magic) look so much better as actual pixel art. environments look pretty. you can actually change the font to look slightly less horrible by choosing the alternative setting in the options. really not as ugly overall as screenshots online make it out to be. i have to admit defeat here. dont understand why they wont let us change the textbox colour tho.
absolutely stupid that they got rid of character portraits in dialogue boxes. "it's supposed to be close to the original release" - bullshit. this version is as close to the original as literally every other remake this game got. plus some optional quality of life so arguably actually further removed from the original than any other version of this game.
the music box in the extras menu won me over. there was minwu walking along a little road whistling little music notes and suddenly gordon stood in the way and got run over and they both fell to the ground. this is the content i'm here for.
in the german translation the king of fynn says he got shot in the butt and that is not what the english translation says at all and it kills the mood bc the man is dying but it amused me so thats a positive point as well
minimap in dungeons feels cheaty as hell but also who the fuck cares, the dungeons in this game aren't spectacular enough to warrant an actual exploration challenge. means i'm glad the stupid map is there.
overall decent version so far and actually playable with the OG soundtrack selected. i think i might end up prefering this version over the psp release. in which case the only thing the psp version has going for itself at this point are the character portraits. but at least it has the best character portraits of all available versions.
edit: wait i forgot something
minwu is white. i mean i knew this before, this wasnt a new shock but i still cannot believe they whitewashed the man to be as white as untoasted toast
so is firion but that transition already happened years ago with dissidia so its less of a shock. still. holy shit square enix leave your brown characters brown please i cant deal with this

hi my friend shared one of ur rancher posts with me on twt and i went INSANE- so i wanted to know if u had a twt? (cause thats where im most active for ranchers stuff) :0
?? My post has broken containment??? Incredible. If that's the one I just posted tonight then that's insane skldjf
No, I deleted my Twitter back in like... 2019 or 2020? I was only there to keep up with publishers and PitMad but then I never used it... never looked back, ha ha.
You're welcome to hang around my blog if you like (I use the tag #Team Rancher for all my Rancher commentary, reblogged art, or original art and I like to think I have a pretty good tag system so you can follow me if interested and blacklist stuff from other fandoms you don't care about; I try to talk positively about my fandoms, keep things clean, and not hate on anything since I like having a peaceful fanspace I can sink myself in and step away from the outside world :) But I'm multi-fandom, so I've got a mixed amount of stuff and it's okay if that's not for you).
-> If you haven't looked yet, I encourage you to browse my Team Rancher tag and check out some of those awesome artists and fellow fandom members!
I do have a very active AO3 account. I regularly post MCYT and non-MCYT content there, but you can specifically subscribe to my Pixels Imperfect series on AO3 if you only want emails for my MCYT content. It's a series, but it doesn't have to be read in order (It's just where I keep all my "morally gray pixel people living their best lives despite the outside world being total anarchy" stuff).
Specifically, tomorrow I'm posting the first part of a short story called Criminal Experience and Chapter 1 involves Tango visiting Mumbo's llama farm. Jimmy's not there, but maybe you'll still enjoy if you like Tango, ranch animals, and/or are curious to see if you like my stuff and my Tango portrayal :) [EDIT - Link]
-> I also posted some Jimmy content this past Tuesday; he makes his first big appearance in Chapter 6 of Dog's Life.
Again, totally fine if this doesn't fit what you're looking for since I'm giving you "Tango content" and "Jimmy content" but not specifically "Team Rancher content"... that's just all I've got right now! But I love talking about them and their characterization and you're always welcome to hit me up if you like!
I don't have anything that is specifically Team Rancher on my to-do writing list, but I'm working behind the scenes on a "put all the Life series into a single coherent timeline and making everything as canon as possible" project, so there will probably be some Team Rancher there. It's Scar-centric so I only have the Clockers nailed down right now, but the Ranchers were my faves so they'll probably exist in some shape or form in that series.
That series is called Neighborhood Watch, though I don't have anything posted for it on AO3 yet so I can't link you that one :')
-> If you are a Team Rancher fanartist/fanwriter and you use Twitter to post Rancher content, feel free to reblog or reply to this post and self-advertise! (But keep this post sfw, please)
[Psp psp even if you don't use Twitter, feel free to reblog or reply because I'm firmly a Tumblr user but I'd also love more Team Rancher in my life <3]
I'm glad you enjoyed my post! I really like Team Rancher... they are just very kind to each other and I could talk for ages about how they passed Scott's compatibility test with flying colors even though he was trying to rig it so they break up SLDKFJSLDFJ <3 Tango and Jimmy were just super kind to each other and incredibly comedic... Double Life was such a fun series. I miss them.
I've got a ton of Rancher fanart reblogs in my drafts/queue but I'm trying to space them out to avoid slam-dunking my followers, sldkfj. We love Team Rancher in this household. Thanks for stopping by!

Riku/Sora (Kingdom Hearts) - KH is the game that got me into video games, and inspired me all the way to getting my current job in game dev, and Riku is at the heart of why I love the games so much. But I had to put Sora too, because one without the other just doesn't work. Without Riku, Sora couldn't have his arc of "I want to be better than Riku" to "I want to be better with Riku". And for Riku, his transition from dark & edgy to chosen keyblade weilder all ties back to how he looked down on Sora, then tried to make up for his mistakes, and finally trusted and loved Sora completely. They complete each other and challenge each other to grow and become better at every turn. Also their reunion in 2 absolutely ruins me every time. Sora crying on his knees will be burned in my brain forever.
Zack Fair (FFVII) - Crisis Core was at one point the only game that would work on my PSP lol. But I didn't need any other games because Zack the puppy was everything to me. Watching him struggle with the morality of being a SOLDIER, all while desperately trying to protect his friends and failing at every turn...that shit hurts, and yet he keeps his smile and honor right up til the end. He is THE sunshine boy of sunshine boys and I could gush about him all day long. His scenes in Advent Children destroy me.
Oikawa Tooru (Haikyuu) - the real blorbo of my heart, the bitch I latched onto and will love to the end of my days. His ability to take even a team of strangers and lead them flawlessly within just a few minutes is so admirable. He knows exactly how to bring out the best in everyone on the court. It hurts me to this day that he never got to wreck Shiratorizawa before he graduated (also that moment where he falls and slips in season 2 uggghhhhh) but jokes on them because he's the one who got an honorable position on an irl team!! I get some people call him an insufferable asshole but thats exactly why I like him! Let characters be insufferable!!!!! Its fun!!!!! And besides, when it comes down to it, he's genuinely a good person who wants everyone on his team to be involved and be their best. Love of my life. No Oikawa haters allowed on my blog.
Pitch Black/Kozmotis Pitchiner (RoTG) - basically since the movie came out I have been ready with a "Pitch did nothing wrong" speech at all times. I feel like I don't even really have to explain this one, I mean....yall get it. You know why we're all still here, loving him and the Guardians to the end of our days. I will say, though - idc if it's book version or movie version, my love for this asshole remains the same.
Nico di Angelo (Percy Jackson) - ah, the original blorbo. The queer awakening for so many people even before he was out in the books. This is another "I love him because he's kinda rude" character. His hatred towards other characters is always warranted tbh, because they ostracize him for?? No good reason at all???? No one wants to or tries to be his friend in heros of olympus for the first four books (except Hazel, who practically has to force others to talk to him) and it pisses me off to no end. Percy spent battle of the labyrinth hunting him down, but would he have been so dedicated if he wasn't getting the iris messages??? Doubt it. Anyway. I adore Nico, he deserved better, and I'm so glad he's got a wonderful bf and his own book now. I will never get tired of him and I really hope the tv series goes well so he can finally come to life in live action ♡
Honorable Mentions: Ronan Lynch, Cloud Strife, Roxas, Hiccup Haddock, Sasuke Uchiha, Portgas D. Ace, Killua Zoldyck, Allen Walker, Vlad Masters
I don't rlly talk to many people on here so...if one of my picks was also yours, consider yourself tagged!

CANNOT BELIEVE IT'S TAKEN ME SO LONG TO REPLY YOU'VE ALREADY FINISHED THE SECOND MOVIE LOL BUT
I LOVE showing The Mole Song to people because it's like, love it or hate it, you can't possibly have a lukewarm reaction to it. I'm thrilled you liked it so much!!! Hong Kong Capriccio definitely has its moments and I'm glad you enjoyed it too; on that note, I haven't seen Final yet, and it doesn't seem to be hardsubbed online, but I was able to find a raw and subs separately. They seem okay from the scene I skipped to twenty minutes in but not positive lol
It really does set the tone early! I love the cutaway gags too The manga has a lot of absurd non-sequiturs and it was a fun way to adapt that to a new medium. As an adaptation as a whole, Undercover Agent Reiji in particular definitely has the tone down and I appreciate that it kept a lot of the Moments I liked.
Hiura had me from the blood oath… one of the guys of all time… despite how I sound from what I just said, I actually didn't even know there was a manga or a sequel when I first watched it, so I was SO relieved he survived the explosion. I was honestly 100% convinced he'd crash the plane at the end though lol, but I guess that ended up happening in Hong Kong Capriccio anyway?
BUT YEAH LIKE THE GUY JUST HAS A HYPERFIXATION AND I HAVE TO RESPECT THAT. Which, you know, in-universe, to have the whole butterfly motif and then dress your man up in florals… I repeat, Reiji was slaying in that dress… I love everyone's costuming in these movies. SPEAKING OF THE AUCTION, the PSP segment onward was insanely RGGcore wasn't it… good god……
It's kind of funny how little Reiji changes--I guess that's how you keep a manga going for like 900 or whatever chapters so far--because he'll pretty much Always have things he needs to figure out. Still very much fun to watch, though!
ALSO the drugs reminded me (I was expecting them to be In The Dogs too lol), shoutout to manga Tsukihara for having the exact same character arc as Mine and ending up an invaluable ally. Also getting to beat up Ryuji Leo (sorry my boy but Mine is overall the stronger combatant to me and I am tired of the Reddit-y discussions on the wiki saying otherwise </3). Living vicariously while Mine's status is still uncertain lol
P.S. I Too Treat Your Blog Like The Morning Paper and it means a lot to me to have the opportunity to write in and talk! I would also love to join a stream if you ever go for it!
P.P.S. NOOOOOOO PLEASE THE SLOW DANCING…….. UNWELL. I've imagined the same thing but at home… in the light of the refrigator… Jo is still tense as hell both because of the situation and it's such a waste of electricity and they really should close the door as soon as possible… but Arakawa insists if it's only for the duration of the song, it's fine……
YEAH THE MOLE SONG MOVIES WERE REALLY FUN thanks again for recommending it to me (I found out it had a manga series the moment I went to look it up, but I haven't read a lick of it. I'd say I'm surprised it's still running but I mean... manga like One Piece have over a thousand chapters at this point, so I shouldn't be too surprised. Maybe I'll give it a read sometime just to check out how the movies and manga compare-and-contrast with each other)!
1.) BIGGEST HONOR I'm glad my blog can entertain a lot of people (and a big part of that is due in part to people writing in and giving me a chance to chat a bit, so of course I always have to thank you and everyone else for sending me asks as frequently as you all do. They're absolutely the highlight of my day whenever I get the time to answer them ^^)!! I've always liked the idea of streaming (I've attempted to years back but I never tried again afterwards), though I always end up getting too anxious about it (plus I tend to get performance anxiety and I end up taking a lot longer to draw whenever people are watching me). I hope to get over that anxiety one day though- I bet it'd be fun to respond to people in real time or take quick doodle requests mid-stream :)
2.) AW THEM DANCING IN THE KITCHEN THOUGH I CAN SEE IT..... Jo being worried about the electric bill though that's so accurate..... I'll definitely think on the concept of Slow Dancing AraSawa with all the apparent enthusiasm around it.. I promise..
Tumblr media
YAYA my friend (who made the post) told me a moment after I told her (also PLEASE I was so heinous reading the name- first thing I said to her aside from 'new movie night plan' was 'how many times does this man play a dude named 'Jo' ☠️☠️)! I wasn't able to find any recordings of the actual play (I know a trailer was posted last year so I don't know if they've actually performed live since then) but here's to hoping one day there's a recording of it posted somewhere...
#long post#snap chats#responding a lil quick to this im goin somewhere in a bit forgive me if i forget some things to respond to#i guess i just got one lingering comment on hiura + butterflies + florals... that was a cute detail wasnt it....#not to let reiji copy his motif but be adjacent to it- to compliment it even. lovely. And Again. reiji Did look super lovely#costume design really went off with this movie all of hiura's suits and dress shirts were SO nice oh my god#i never really was a fan of butterfly-print but i've been converted.. i've been convinced...#on that note tho hiura already had me on board when the first line we get introduced him with is just. 'every yakuza needs to be funny' ☠️#i repeat... my moto in life... commit to the bit... it was impossible not for me to like him 😔#OH BUT MINE V RYUJI.... not to be vile but i agree..... sssh dont tell anyone i dont wanna start a fight...#even if i already did make a post saying mine could clear anyone BUT IM JUST SAYING#he's like. one of if not the only boss to have kiryu totally exhausted after a fight just from his ownself#and sure ryuji's big and strong but he's also really sluggish and doesnt have a lot of refine to him...#if the fact that mine can Literally spin circles around kiryu then mine's just a more nimble fighter.. i believe he could take him...#AH BUT IM RAMBLING I HAVE TO LEAAAVEE thank you for writing in as always !#no worries about taking a while to write in of course we all have things to do :]#speaking of i started watching My Blood And Bones today.. im halfway through the film already#it's very slow but im not mad- theyre cute so far and i hope good things happen to hari and hamada :)#i wont hold my breathe tho... i have abot an hour and eight minutes left in this movie#we'll see what happens whEN IGTE HOM OH GOD OK BYE FR

It's my three-year anniversary with Phoenix! And in honor of the day, TLF releasing on PS+ Premium, and me deciding to buy a used PSP and a copy of TLF from ebay instead of paying for an overpriced subscription just for access to the game, I wanna gush a little about my relationship with Phoenix
obviously I love each of my relationships with each of my f/os; they all bring unique scenarios and dynamics to the table and endless ideas to play around with. Of course, I love the thrill and the intensity and slightly possessive/protective nature (that would surely be toxic irl) of my ships with Grimm and Errol and Anti. It's so much fun to think about how crazy they are for me and how they want me to only be theirs and how intensely their affections manifest. It's fun and cathartic for me to have f/os that I can be a little feral, insane, and villainous with if I want to.
But sometimes I want something more chill and laidback. Phoenix is exactly that (and Julian, too, but he's gotta wait a couple more months before I write about him for our anniversary). He's not evil or a villain or some supernatural entity who's super powerful, he's really just. A Guy. He's a captain of a crew of (sky) pirates, but he's charismatic, charming, easy-going. I know he's just a character in a video game, but Phoenix feels easy to be around. Easy to talk to. Someone I can be myself with. He's a calming, grounding presence when my mind is a mess and my life feels like it's in irreparable shambles (which, lately, is pretty often)
We still have adventures and thrills, of course; how can I be dating a handsome pirate captain and not get roped into some sort of scheme, or insist we travel somewhere ourselves? But Phoenix is also the one to go to for extra long hugs, and the one to go to when I want to build an elaborate blanket fort to hide away in. He's one I can vent to and spill all my ugly thoughts and emotions and he'll listen without judging me. He's warm and easy-going, but he gets protective if he knows I'm upset or anxious about something.
And I never would have found him if I never got back into J&D, never sought out a full playthrough VOD of TLF, and realized I kept coming back to TLF because I wanted to see him. He deserved so much better than what he got in the game. I'm glad we found each other, and I'm glad I get to give Phoenix a better outcome where he gets to be happy and safe and loved, with me. 💚💙

I'm sure Persona 3 Reload is very good, I'm pretty fond of the music, art, animation, and whatnot, and I've been pretty curious about playing P3 for a while now, but MAN!!!! I am never falling for that "buying an Atlus game at or near launch" bs ever again!!!
My dumb ass bought Persona 5 and it's DLC, only for that game to be replaced with Royal, which was ANOTHER full price game!! I bought Catherine on PC less than a year before Fullbody was announced! I bought SMTV on the switch, right before it was announced to be coming to other stronger platforms!! Like fuck dude, I don't think I've ever bought an Atlus game I didn't later regret!! The games are good, but they are the MASTER of scumbag re-releases.
I'm glad info on P3 Reload's existence leaked early, otherwise I probably would have ended up buying the poorly upscaled version of Portable that came out on steam a while back!!
P3 Reload is frustrating because it was CLEARLY a game that was going to get at least one big content DLC, and probably a second revision at some point as well (like, they just weren't gonna remake The Answer and P3P's content???) and with the Episode Aigis -The Answer- announced the other day, that just totally confirms it!!
The base game of Persona 3 Reload is already 70 DOLLARS!!! Even before counting the new DLC announced the other day, there was already 27$ worth of optional DLC that you can buy for P3R, and the new Expansion Pass, containing the TRUE ENDING of the game is going to be ANOTHER 35 bucks!!!!
Just with all the current DLC for this game, you could either:
Buy just the base game (missing out on admittedly silly BGMs and Costumes, and the TRUE ENDING of the game) for 70$
Buy the Digital Premium edition (which adds some of the BGM and Costume DLCs, but not the stuff in the Expansion Pass, which includes the TRUE ENDING) for 99$
Buy the base game, and the Expansion Pass (so just the normal game + a few BGM and Costume DLCs not included in the Digital Premium edition, AND the TRUE ENDING) for 105$
Buy the Digital Premium edition, AND the Expansion Pass (this gets you ALL available content for the game, at the cheapest price currently possible) for 134$
THAT'S THE PRICE OF TWO full priced games!!! All for a game that is MOST CERTAINLY getting a big second revision (or another hefty DLC) at some point to add the still missing content from Persona 3 Portable (namely, the FemMC route and music!)
Like man.... you can't price your game at 70$ while also releasing almost 70$ worth of DLC within the first 3 months that the game is out!!! That's so wack!! AND EVERYBODY SAW IT COMING as soon as Persona 3 Reload was announced and they said that Reload would only include content from the BASE VERSION of P3 (so no FES or P3P content)!!!!!
And people were so pumped about the idea of a Persona 3 remake, because P3 is currently in a weird spot where there's no BEST way to play the original games! You can either play the janky ass PS2 game to get the true ending, or you can play the better PSP version to get the good gameplay and femMC campaign, but have to deal with visual novel ass cutscenes, no walking around the overworld, and no True Ending. (and I know The Answer is pretty hit or miss with folks, but it's still the games real ending! i'd like to at least play it!)
GAH, I'm just annoyed that I'm gonna have to wait 5 years for all the content for this game to finally be released and to go on sale to finally play it, because it genuinely looks very cool, but I'm DEFINITELY not buying another Altus game until it's TOTALLY FOR SURE AND DEFINITELY done receiving new DLCs and revisions. I'll just play FES and Portable for now, I suppose, lol.

I have been playing Crisis Core a bit since I got it in Wednesday, but work and first night of raiding made it hard to play a lot. I probably will today, but I also want to do my mythic plus dungeons, so I might do those first.
I loved the original Crisis Core on psp - it's the sole reason I even bought one - and have wanted a playstation port for ages. What we got now is even better, the only downside being that I still need to get used to the new voice actors (English). I loved Zack's goofy, happy voice; whenever he got sad, you'd still hear this little spark of hope in everything he said. In the story, his emotions are featured a lot, and I think the original Voice Actor captured them very well. He sounds way more sullen now, despite the nee VA trying to keep the flow and pronunciation unchanged, and it takes some getting used to. But it's not badly done.
What I definitely noticed is that now I'm used to Elden Ring and Dark Souls, it took me no effort to immediately change the difficulty to Hard and trying difficult missions - only skipping ones where I get killed in a single attack for now.
Overall, 10/10, would recommend. Still glad I got that Zack art for on the wall a few months ago.

Have you played Sonic Rivals on PSP? I wish they’ve included Blaze instead of Rouge (or i mean just have more girls in the game not just replace them) I also think it was the best 3D side scrolling Sonic game since the Classic Sonic stages in the new games feel out of place. On a similar note, i feel like the Sonic Advance (and similarly Sonic Rush) graphics were the sweet spot
I've played rivals just once (not even kidding, I borrowed a psp from a friend in elementary school during a bus ride and they had the game) so I don't remember how it controls but it was definitely an interesting challenge. as for blaze, well, she would be a great fit for the whole rivals thing they had there (we need more girls Sega, where are our girls Sega), but it is what it is. (rush did her justice tho and I'm actually glad she wasn't in rivals cuz that would probably make her backstory way more complicated than it already was after 06).
from the 2.5d genre of sonic games, my favs are sonic advance 2 and sonic rush. I also believe generations handled the 2d stages remarkably well (AHEM. UNLIKE FORCES.)
note: side scroller on 2d stages SUCKS (yeah I'm STILL looking at you forces)
the rush series had a great art style (similarly to the advance series) and very neat models (which I absolutely adore) and the graphics and the levels and uuunnnnggghh
yeah, I like it a normal amount

Did you ever give your opinion on Living Daniel's comic design? Personally I like it, he looks like a bard and its a good blend between "dork" and "charming" whilst also not just being the bare minimum to make Daniel's jawless skull look like a face, LOL!
The only opinion I ever gave was a simple image in a previous ask post (here), but I can give you my full opinion!
TL;DR: I absolutely hate his comic design.
Let me start this off by saying that you are fully entitled to have your own opinion and that I am so glad you like his comic design. It's awesome that you find it so charming! I wish I can say the same, but I just.....eugh.
I think what still makes me so hesitant to accept his "canon" living design in the comics is because, to me, it completely goes against what little we already knew (and what I loved) from past games.
The only things we knew were regarding his physical appearance was: he had black hair, and a square jaw. Resurrection added a little bit more to his past life by revealing that his grandmother used to make pumpkin pies for him when he was younger, indicating that he was most likely a common man. He also happened to tell such outlandish stories that entertained impressed the King enough to instantly promote him as captain of the royal guard. To make things more interesting, since Gallowmere hadn't had any war in centuries, Sir Daniel's new title is completely honorary. Essentially, Sir Daniel obtained his title through sheer, dumb luck and he was rewarded with an arrow to the head in the one war they had.
Through what little information was provided in MediEvil and its PSP remake, it was really exciting to see what theories fans had regarding Sir Daniel's past life and his time as a knight. My general idea for Sir Daniel is that he may not be the nicest guy, but he was respectful towards every other character in the game (who didn't treat him like dirt, at least).
I was glad that the comic actually provided a glimpse into his past life, but I think it was executed in the most predictable and boring way possible. I can understand that in order for a character's redemption arc to mean something, they would usually have to start out as a pretty despicable person (one example being the Prince from Beauty and the Beast). However, I think the comic made him way too different from his skeletal self. By making him a pompous, spoiled aristocrat, he is no longer interesting or remotely likeable. At this point, I feel like he should have been an entirely separate character or at least have him from a different timeline lol.
I can also talk more about how the time loop does not make sense as a narrative, but that is a different can of worms that I prefer not to open yet haha.
I'm definitely not saying that my Sir Daniel is perfect by any means! However, I just feel like the comic might have been...better.

five. “team manager”
kozume kenma x fem dazai!reader
(bsd x haikyuu)
tw: mentions of suicide
masterlist.      suicide freak!
Tumblr media
"this is the girl from yesterday" kuroo muttered
it's been a day since the shrooms incident, and it's safe to say she's left a very weird first impression on the boys
"hi~" she cooed with a wave
today, she was looking more presentable. wearing the nekoma girl's uniform, with bandages framing her body, all except for her hands and face.  "i couldn't shake her off" kenma said with a sigh as he tried to wiggle his arm free from her grasp
she simply chuckled and hugged his arm even tighter.  "sorry for the rather strange interaction we had yesterday" she apologised with a sheepish grin  "there was a small flaw in my plan, which led to that.."
kenma rolled his eyes at her words.  he was the one that had to make sure she didn't accidentally jump off a cliff in her state yesterday.  he had to get her calmed down, and ended up calling a man called kunikida for help since he was in her emergency contacts.
"what's your name?" kuroo asks with an amused grin
"l/n y/n. nice to meet ya" she answered
"so l/n-chan~" kuroo mused "anything we can help you with?"
"i wanna be team manager!" she exclaimed with a dumb smile on her face
some boys perked up at the mention of a manager, some pondered over it, while kenma simply let out a loud groan.
"hah? you? manager?" kenma scoffed and pulled out his PSP  "you'll just try to kill yourself with the nets or something" he muttered with a huff
"eh? do you really have no trust in me kenma?" she sulked  "i mean, i probably would but still!" she huffed
nekomata stepped forward and smiled at her "why would you like to be our manager, l/n?" he asked. she blinked and pondered over it for a while "hmm, volleyball is something i wanna try i guess." she said
"but i don't really wanna play. i'd rather manage from the sidelines" she hummed  "so it would be a pleasure to work with you all" she said with a sly smile
she then looked at nekomata and tilted her head to the side, sending him a close eyed smile and holding her hand out for him to shake.
"if you'll have me, of course" she added in a polite and soothing tone
nekomata studied her, then her hand, as well as the bandages that ended just a little bit past her wrist. the old man chuckled and shook her hand. "well then, welcome to the team" he said with a laugh
she smirked and nodded.  "glad to be here"
Tumblr media
"have i ever told you how incredibly intricate looking your fingers are?" she asked out of the blue.  kenma glanced at her as he drinks from his bottle, brows furrowing from her rather strange observation.
"um, no?" he answered hesitantly
she simply hummed and studied them even further, making him gulp. kenma looked at his hands, feeling slightly anxious. he then shoved them in the side of his shorts.
"stop looking at them. it makes me nervous" kenma complained sheepishly
she chuckled and pulled his hands out of his makeshift pockets. "dont be" she cooed with a smile "you hands are so.. delicate, so soft"
kenma blushed as she started tracing circles over his palms, whispering sweet words and nothings as she does so.
"so.." she trailed off, looking at him through lidded eyes, a flirty smirk etching itself on her lips. "s-so..?" he questioned
"would you strangle me with these fragile, delicate fingers?"
"ha? 😃"
kenma stared at her while she stared back. she simply smiled at him as she continued to draw shapes on his palm.  "what the hell are you talking about?" kenma deadpanned
"I CAN'T TAKE THIS!!" taketora shrieked. they all looked over to him as kenma raised a brow "can't take what?" he asked
taketora ignored him and sprinted straight to y/n "l-l/n-chan! why him?!" he shrieked  "why not me?! i can give you my love!" taketora cried "let me love you!"
she simply stared at him as she drops kenma's hands on his lap. "love..me?" she questioned with a blank smile
taketora rushed over to her and showed her his hands "i have hands and fingers too!" he exclaimed  "i can-"
"i don't think she meant she wants kenma to choke her during sex, yamamoto" kuroo intervened
"yeah. she wants me to kill her." kenma bluntly spat out
"hai!" she exclaimed "but either one is fine."
kenma's brows shot up as he snapped his attention towards her. "huh??"
"hm? is there a problem, kenma-kun?" she chuckled “yes. there's a problem, and it's a big one." kenma said "im not gonna choke you during se-"
"l/n!" nekomata called out, effectively cutting off kenma
the (h/c) haired girl perked up and walked over to the man "yes?" she asked "so? did you jot down anything while watching?" nekomata asked. the older man patted the spot next to him on the bench, urging her to sit next to him. she hummed and pulled out a notebook.
"well, may i just say" she started "these boys are very impressive."
"i don't usually have the motivation to do these type of things but i wrote down everything i've observed" she said "i do hope it's enough" she chuckled as she sat down next to nekomata
"well then, let's see it" nekomata said as he ushered the boys over to them. "well then, these are my observations, as well as teeny tiny little advices" she says
she handed kuroo the notebook. the captain skimmed through the pages with a look of interest. "okay let's- eh?" kuroo sweat dropped "this is never-ending, l/n-chan" he chuckled
kuroo flipped through the whole notebook, laughing as he saw each page filled from front to back. "that's a crap ton of info!" taketora exclaimed
"how'd you even get all of that over a silly practice game" yaku asked, a look of amusement and curiosity lacing his features.
she shrugged nonchalantly and fiddled with her hair "dunno" she cooed "i guess it comes naturally" she said "i have a job quite similar, so breaking down your attacks and the way you move or play is quite easy"
nekomata hummed in delight "ah, so we're you a manger before as well, or..?" he asked
"nope! i'm a detective!" she grinned
the team stared at her and smiled, same as you would when a child says something crazy or stupid. she immediately snapped her head towards kenma, smiling excitedly as she awaits his reaction
"are you impressed? will you go on a double suicide with me now?" she asked with a grin. kenma stared at her, unmoving, as he looked her up and down.
"no." he answered
she immediately deflated and sulked beside nekomata. "i-i see." she sniffled "i understand"
"that's nice, l/n-chan!" yaku exclaimed, obviously unconvinced that she was a detective "really nice. it's good to have dreams!" he said as he patted the girl's back
she blinked as she looked down on him. "eh? no, i mean like im actually a detective"
"i mean i get that you don't think so" she laughed "i may not look much, but im an operative of the armed detective agency" she said.  her playful smile dropped, and was replaced by a stoic look as she showed them a badge
"eh? seriously?! that's so cool!" lev says as he excitedly jumps up and down
"heh. right?" she grinned as the other boys starts freaking out
kenma simply narrows his eyes and clicks his tounge in distaste. "so what about it, kenma-kun? won't it be cool to die with someone like that?" she asks cheekily
"no"
"but-"
"no"
"fine"
"no- oh."
"you'll fit right in, l/n" nekomata said with a laugh. he waved then goodbye before stepping away. kuroo approached them, fanning himself with the notebook as he slung his arm around her shoulders
"so, l/n.." kuroo said "whyre you so obsessed with having a double suicide with our kenma?" he asked.  kenma sighed and pitched his nose bridge with dread "please don't ask that. she'll-"
"oh my! i thought you'd never ask!" she said dramatically as she waved her arms about
"committing suicide alone?" she started "oh my, that's so passe kuroo-san!"
"i've come to realise, that if i were to die.. i will die alongside a beautiful man or woman!" her eyes sparkled as she gawked over kenma, who was looking very unamused at the moment.
"and i found the most beautiful boy there is! what else could be better than this?" she exclaimed with teary eyes
"ah, double suicide.. what a sweet ring it has!" she exclaimed "in comparison, it feels so empty to bid this world farewell all by my lonesome self!" she hugged kenma and nuzzled her cheek into his pudding-like hair.
kenma merely froze as he felt his arms and body get squeezed by her. she was surprisingly strong and had a vice grip on him. "please let me go." kenma muttered
"no"
the boys watched the whole withing with varying reactions. most of them were worried for her mental state and well-being, while the others were amused. the 'others', being lev. it still kinda hadn't hit him that she was a suicidal psycho.
"hmm, you're right, l/n-senpai! it'll be sad to die alone" lev agreed with a thoughtful hum
"see! he sees the problem with it!" she said
yaku immediately intervened by kicking lev in the back of his knees, making him fall forward. he also snatched kenma away, making her whine. "give him back!" she yelled. “take me away" kenma said
yaku huffed and lightly flicked her in the forehead. "the real problem here is the fact that you wanna commit suicide!" he exclaimed
"double suicide" she corrected.
"that's not any better!"

so i'm tryin to think of good games that had newer versions that were imo significantly worse than the originals. i'm not including fighters or full remakes tho. some examples i can think of are:
-dead rising 2 off the record-
the story/characters aren't nearly as good as regular dr2, and they really screwed up trying to make it harder. one of the biggest improvements that dr2 had over dr1 was with escorting survivors, but in otr they made it really tedious again. there's little things too, like the pause screen music being much worse. but even tho i think reg dr2 is much better, dr2otr is full of new n fun content that makes it worth playing. i still love that it exists.
-dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin-
and no i don't mean the bundle of dlc u can add to the orig version. the dlc itself was fine. i mean the weird "remixed" version where they changed enemy placement and just... ruined it, honestly. poor, cheap, unfair, unfun enemy placement. it's like a child modded the map. miya thinking he was somehow "fixing" ds2 with his piss-poor changes is visible direct evidence of how shoddy he can be as a creator. i mean he absolutely george lucas'd it. except the tryhard fanbase has such shit taste that they actually prefer this version?! sotfs is one giant macklunkey and yet the souls tryhards stand up and applaud. i hate them and i hate this.
-castlevania symphony of the night (saturn)-
i don't hate this nearly as much as others do. i quite like it actually. but it's pretty obvious that the original is better, even though it has less content. the visuals of the saturn ver are just a lot worse. and the new areas are a bit silly n out of place. it runs more poorly. etc etc etc you've heard it all before... i LOVE the addition of maria mode tho. and the new content is fun n sometimes genuinely good idk! ftr i also like the orig better than the weird hybrid psp ver (requiem) as well. but once again, even tho this is worse than the orig, i'm still rly glad it exists.
-super mario 64 ds-
it was impressive that they could port it at all tbh, and havin portable mario 64 was rad! n i actually like some of the additional content in theory? but it all came at too big of a cost. taking moveset options away from mario in order to justify switching between characters really fucked up the flow of what made orig mario 64 so great. the issues went well beyond control issues (which were awful) and technical issues (which were understandable). i still like m64ds, but it's just obv way worse than the original. and now that we have a couple versions of proper mario 64 portably on switch, there's even LESS reason to ever play this version.
there are def other examples on the tip of my tongue, but i just can't remember em right now. maybe i'll add em in later.

The fandom you're in looks really awesome, and the reason I followed you is it the cooler that comes with it, but I have no idea what it's about or what the actual game is? Is there a place I can go to kind of find out and maybe play myself? (You're so passionate about it that I'm starting to get really curious but google is my enemy)
I’m GUESSING you mean fate series cause that’s my number one thing I do not shut up about. it’s uhh kind of a spiraling mess of a series but most installments are standalone enough for it to not be a complete hell to get into, but also I’m glad you asked because getting in without help is definitely hell
fate started with the visual novel fate/stay night, written by kinoko nasu and released in 2004. as such that’s the best starting point in my opinion, because it features all the detailed worldbuilding groundwork that later installments kind of gloss over so it can be hard to go back to if you already know all that from other installments. the plot is that seven magi summon legendary heroes to fight for them in a ritual war, with the prize being the holy grail which can grant any wish. leading themes are what it means to be a hero and save someone, the way history repeats itself, and forming your own identity in the wake of trauma. it has three routes, the last of which especially has really heavy themes of physical emotional and sexual abuse so if you need detailed content warnings pm me and I’ll do my best
fsn has several releases, the original vn features infamously bad erotica but there’s a rerelease called fate/stay night [realta nua] which replaced those scenes with pg-15 content and also tightened the visuals up a bit. I’ve got downloads for both versions here. it’s like 80 hours of vn so that’s quite the investment but there’s also the anime fate/stay night [unlimited blade works] featuring the second route, and the third route is getting a series of movies the first of which is out too, called heaven’s feel - presage flower. fate route (the first route) sort of got an anime in 2006 and unlimited blade works a movie in 2010 but those are really really bad so look for the 2014 anime and 2017 movie. imo the ubw anime did a decent job and heaven’s feel is doing pretty good too so far so they’re good for seeing if you like what the series has to offer before you dive into a long ass vn.
the prequel to fate/stay night is fate/zero, a light novel series written by gen urobuchi in collaboration with nasu. as such it’s notably darker than the rest of the series but by nature of being a prequel it makes for an equally decent starting point as stay night, since both will spoil things for the other. fate/zero has an anime too.
imo stay night and zero are the ‘standard’ fate installments, if someone says they like fate you can safely assume they’ve consumed at least one of those - is what I used to say but apparently it’s been so long that even this isn’t a reasonable assumption anymore. oh how times have changed. anyway please do start with zero or stay night cause like I said those are earlier installments so they’re at high risk of falling flat if you already know the deep lore from later stuff.
the biggest most booming fate installment is fate/grand order, a mobile game featuring characters from all other fates as well as a lot of newcomers. it’s pretty newbie friendly in terms of lore I think but you’ll get more out of it if you do know the background for all these characters since character development tends to carry over between installments. it’s infamously story heavy for a mobile game, especially in the later chapters when nasu got the hang of writing for mobage. the tone is also notably different from fsn and fz in that it’s more…. grandiose and theatrical, and obviously it waifs everyone up a bit so they can get you to spend money. still good tho. still love it. it’s got two anime specials, first order and moonlight lostroom, but first order makes no damn sense if you don’t know anything of stay night and lostroom takes place after the events of the first fgo arc. there’s anime projects of two of the chapters in progress too.
you thought that was all? you’re a fool this isn’t even half of it but I’ll briefly go over the rest under a cut cause those 3 are the big players.
carnival phantasm is a comedy OVA series featuring skits about several works from the same author. about half of it is about fate and the other about tsukihime, an earlier visual novel. watching order is after stay night. today’s menu for the emiya family is the canon domestic fsn au manga and anime where everyone’s just chilling eating dinner together instead of killing each other.
fate/hollow ataraxia is another visual novel. it’s a direct sequel to fate/stay night and a personal favourite. it takes place half a year after stay night and features much of the same themes, but from a pair of characters who lost the war in fsn before it even started.
fate/apocrypha is another series of light novels. in terms of reading order i’d put it after stay night and zero. it features a cast twice as big as those two and basically approaches the same themes from a different angle. it’s got a finished anime and an ongoing manga but the anime kinda butchered pretty much everything about it. unfortunately one of the light novels is still not translated so the anime is still the most accessible way to get approximately the whole story. the manga IS very good though so once that’s finished I’d probably tell people to read that one if they want to apocrypha
fate/EXTRA is a psp game it’s like 10 bucks in the ps store iirc. for reading order I’d put it after stay night but not necessarily after zero. in this one the ritual for the holy grail is held in a simulation on the moon, which is a supercomputer, and it’s an organised tournament with 128 participants instead of a 7 man free for all. it’s about forging meaningful bonds in a system designed to drive people apart and finding the drive to keep going even if nothing is certain. the gameplay isn’t great but the story is $$$ it’s my other personal favourite. it’s sequel is called fate/EXTRA CCC, it’s on psp too but never got a western release, but there’s a translation of one route out there and some madmen are working on a translation patch that’ll be done in time for my grandchildren I hope. CCC is the wildest ride of my life i love it a lot but it’s very horny so not really for everyone. fate/extra CCC fox tail is a manga which follows an alternate CCC route and i hear it’s cool. the sequel to CCC is fate/EXTELLA which did come to the west and is on several platforms, and somewhere next year fate/EXTELLA link should get localised. extella is very rushed and mostly expands the extraverse world but if you can grab it on sale after you decided you like extra it’s not a bad buy just don’t pay full price. fate/EXTRA last encore is an anime which. sort of comes after extra? it’s very trippy arthouse bullshit and I ate that shit up but it’s definitely not for everyone. the last 3 episodes are missing on netflix so make sure you don’t miss those if you decide to watch.
fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ☆ ILLYA is a magical girl spinoff manga & anime which sounds great in theory until you see it’s mostly pedobait, but extremely unfortunately for us sometimes it does something legitimately cool so we all suffer. don’t get into prillya it’s bad for your health.
fate/strange fake WAS an aprils fools story but this series has no limits so now it’s a full on light novel spinoff and also manga I think? I don’t keep up with it but it throws some wild ass lore our way sometimes. you’ll probably want to be up to date with apocrypha and everything before it before you try this one.
fate/prototype was just the original concept for fsn extrapolated a bit upon but again this series has no limits. prototype has an animated feature and some material books, and then the light novels fate/prototype fragments of blue and silver are the prequel to prototype, but it’s weird cause we never got a proper prototype so I don’t know what’s up with that. fate/labyrinth is a side story to fragments which I know even less about. I actually never see anyone talk about prototype so there’s probably no translations lol
lord el melloi II case files is even more light novels. I’m pretty sure you need to have gone over stay night, zero, hollow ataraxia, apocrypha, and strange fake before this one starts to make sense. there might be translations? i don’t know a fucking thing my guy
