Hey I'm Kery! Welcome to my main personal blog where I ramble about modding, corral my reblogs and post WIPs. I'm the most active on here, but if you want to check out my art-only blog, you can find it @kerynean .

I'm a 30 y/o Australian cisgender gal, though I originally came from New Zealand. I'm neurodiverse (the Autism/ADHD combo) and I consider myself to be disabled, Lesbian and femme-aligned NB (though I'd say autigender if I'm gonna split hairs, non-binary is just easier). I'm still figuring out where I am in terms of Lesbian identity (late bloomer over here) but if I were to hazard a guess it'd be soft butch/chapstick-lesbian/stem? I'll get back to you on that one, lol.

I'm pretty creative, I dabble in digital art and sometimes photography, both real and virtual and I've been writing fiction stories since I was a kid who was obsessed with books (though I tend to read more fanfic these days, oops). I like to write original fiction but I tend to get way too into the world building side of things, I like figuring out the setting and lore, environment etc. (I'd probably make a good DM, ngl) Outside that I do think I have a missed calling as a tattoo artist that I probably won't get to fulfil in this lifetime, so instead I design them for characters and make OC tattoo mods for videogames. I'd love to get more tattoos irl!

I am a big Gamer Girl(TM), I orignally was studying in game design before life shit got in the way of that. I find game systems really interesting, and do get a kick out of figuring out how they work - so modding has kind of been a natural evolution of this - you can check out what I've been messing around with under #my modding. My preferred platform is PC, I know how to build them (though I rarely get to) but recently upgraded my PC to be a souped up bonus room heater with funky lights so I can do more shit with 3D art (and gaming stuff ofc is a bonus lol).

Sorry for the delay in a reply... just haven't "felt it" the past couple months, and after a nice 2 week break (and now a slow day at work), I feel more up to answering a long-form ask today, LOL.

So, I won't reveal too much about myself that isn't already public, since I try to keep my online and personal lives separate (and I come from an age where people usually DID do this because no one needs to know every little bit about you). The basics are that I'm a 41-year-old Canadian dork who loves video games, animation, movies, drawing, writing, and making music. I'm a graphic designer by trade, and have been for nearly 20 years, and I love it (if you need something designed or laid out, hit me up, I freelance on the side for extra spending money). I love dragons and puppies and kitties. I've been in fandom spaces for as long as I can remember, even before the internet. First major fandom I was a part of was Sonic the Hedgehog in my teen years, used to be a pretty popular writer back then. I moved on to Darkwing Duck in my 20s, then TMNT and then Sherlock (I'm a fan of a TONNE more things, but these were the active fanbases I had a presence in). These days I'm more of a lurker than actively participating, though Sherlock has been the longest one I haven't really moved on from. I like the casualness of what I've built here, and I think that's been a huge benefit for my mental health.

Hmm... my fave food is mac and cheese, but had to cut back on it a lot, so these days it's mostly chicken, lol. Fave dessert is cheesecake. Again, not supposed to eat it because of the dairy and sugar, so if I make it, I use lactose-free cheese. I treat myself once-a-year on my birthday, usually.

My current dream is to own a home. I've been trying to make it happen for almost 10 years now, and every time I get close, the goal-post gets shifted as housing prices skyrocket. It makes me very sad.

My dream holiday is a Disney cruise OR somewhere tropical; wanted to do these since I was 20. Secondary dream WAS going back to Disney World for my 40th, but now it's for my 45th or 50th, hopefully with SOMEONE (no one wants to go with me, hence the back-burner on this one). Listen, I know how awful Disney is. I just... really loved being there. It's easy to forget a lot of things when you're there. Third dream is a cross-country LITERAL nostalgia road trip with my sister. We used to go on 2-week-long, cross-Canada road trips when we were kids, and I just... want to kind of relive those, y'know? Lots of fond memories. Again, something that's just a dream because while my sister wants to do it, she doesn't want to be an alternate driver, so. Yeah, I can't do the driving alone.

Uh... Hmm. Not sure what else I should talk about here, if there's something specific y'all want to know, just ask :)

As for fave tropes, I love fake relationship fics the most, I think, followed by pining and movie rewrites with characters... I'm actually pretty easy-going when it comes to tropes, really. Willing to read any trope at least once to see if I like it.

Oddly, though, I prefer stories that are SUPER in-character (to how I read them, anyway) AND focus a lot on character studies and relationships with other characters. Novel-length stories are usually the best for it, but shorter ones can be too. I prefer fanfics more these days because I don't have to think about how these characters SHOULD be and focus more on the world that the author created. When I do read published novels, though, they're usually fantasy books. One of my fave series ever is the Inkheart Trilogy. Just an easy read from book one.

I regress as a coping mechanism. I have bipolar, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Autism, DIDand ADHD. I have struggled with mental illness my whole life and found that age regression can really help me if I do it right. So far, Bluey helps. I luv bluey!!

I can be nonverbal when I am small but it depends. Sometimes I'll talk to my stuffies because they always listen to me and are sweet to me. I like to chew (nom nom!) on something when I’m smol, bottles are fun but sippy cups are the best regardless of age. Binkies and chewies are nice too. I can switch between my ages pretty rapidly . I'm new to this so I don't know everything I need or like when I'm regressing. I Love my stuffies, I like Bluey, I like DuckTales sometimes when I'm a bit bigger, and um my stuffies! I have a lot! I do know that when I'm small I need to be reminded to eat slow, I will make myself sick by eating too fast (Nom nom nom!!). I also need lots of stimulation since that AdHD seems worse when I'm little. TV and drawing with crayons or colored pencils is one such activity. Sometimes tho I like to come on here and be smol. I want to interact with the momma's and daddy's more and I want little friends but I get so scared sometimes. I've discovered I experience what is being called Yin(?) Or Impure(?) Regression.

My special interest rn are Dragons because dragons are amazing and strong and brave! Rawr!! Space because I come from the stars! The Ocean because it's so pretty and big big also scary and mysterious and blue!!!, Cryptids/Fae stuff, I like the pretty wings and the dresses. I want to be a small fairy in a tulip. A dragon fairy!! As well as various cartoons and my stuffies! I was mean to them and I apologized and they forgave me and I love them so much.

I like purple and blue, and pink but only soft pinks and yellow! Dragons, Space and Oceans seem to be a common theme of interest all the time anytime. My ADHD means I need child-appropriate stimulation, so fun shows and games to watch/play when I'm small are welcomed please give me recommendations! More stuff with Dragons please, please please!!!! I like to make art when small as well, so I'd like to take moodboard requests, but no pressure! Rawr!

Waaah okay this is a touch of an essay and is kind of full of OCs sorry ???

Anyway it was lame AF to me that the show built up so much hype around the oni and then they were the lamest villains ever like okay they have freaky paralyzing smoke and what else?? They got disintegrated by a tornado of creation this is so lame what.

SO a few things I would go about tweaking, and this is keeping everything up to s9 canon btw not changing things around in there (I have other versions where I tweak that stuff lmao)

So first, Leader of the oni is actually scary as fuck, Queen of the Oni to be exact, yeah that's right the FSM had two moms who are now divorced. I have art of this lady on the blog (Queenie is her usual title) and while she's often seen as just six ft tall an elegant she can get massive sized so thirty feet <3 She's powerful, because she has every kind of magic oni can learn at her disposal and this includes mind control, illusions, transformation, gravity, all that jazz (My essay on how the elemental powers are split between oni and dragon origins is something for another time). Anyway she can p much just paralyze people with her mind if she needs to when she walks into a room.

The invasion just starts with her, because while most of the oni have been hiding away in the departed realm like the show states, she's actually been hanging around in Ninjago for ages. In fact, surprise, she was disguised as the Empress the whole time. Let Harumi find all those books about the oni masks so she'd open a portal and summon Garmadon.

Cept that wasn't Garmadon, it's another oni in disguise, and this is why he's so fucking OOC, except he ditched his post and is now kinda hiding from her.

Hang on I'm getting on a tangent here, ANYWAY she reveals herself to specifically talk to Lloyd and try to get him on her side, because family and all that, and while Lloyd obviously hesitates the Queen is pretty convincing and may also be threatening his friends lives so he surrenders and Queenie activates his oni blood which like, doesn't make him evil but does make him a little more inclined to get into trouble lmao.

And NOW the army comes through, poison oni are the ones setting off the smoke causing paralysis. The ninja are scrambling for a plan and while doing this start recruiting the other elemental masters to help. Detail details, two other things happen. Wu travels back to the first realm to find Firstborne, believing she's the only thing that could stop Queenie. Meanwhile the oni disguised as Garmadon (named Efri) gets found out and forced to travel through the departed realm to find the FSM for help (he finds the real Garmadon along the way and some of the past EMs (including Cole's mom, Jay's birth mom, OG Ice Master, Dr. Julien, and even Morro) (Everyone is here YAY)

More details details, the elemental masters are trying to keep the oni contained, trying to get Lloyd to stop helping Queenie (Lloyd: Guys don't you get it, we wouldn't even have to fight if you'd just LISTEN to us) And big climax everyone gets back from their respective adventures and crashes in the middle (FSM doesn't come back btw he's a bitch who says no my problem and Garmadon tells him to go fuck himself)

Big epic fight montage which eventually cuts back to a 30ft Queenie fighting Firstborne but while they are like, fighting, they are also arguing like a divorced couple and Lloyd is standing there like lmao wait ???? you two seriously just need marriage counseling ARE YOU SERIOUS?

Basically by listening Lloyd figures out that A) Queenie and Firstborne got divorced because of a rift the FSM sort of caused (not entirely his fault but he was the spearhead). B) The war left a lot of scarring on both sides. C) The First Realm looks like SHIT because with the oni gone, so was the balance, causing the land to turn to ruin despite dragons being considered creators they had no idea how to maintain the environment.

Lloyd gets the help of the other ninja, turn into this giant fusion spirit thing just to stop Queenie and Firstborne from fighting and tell them to GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER YOU TWO ARE HOW GODDAMN OLD TALK SHIT OUT LIKE ADULTS.

I'm so glad to see the fan base becoming more active again in the wake of the Dreadwolf stuff we've gotten so far and Absolution! I just wanted to welcome everyone to my blog and to clarify a few things rq!

This is a "character positive" blog which means I typically post about all of the characters in the games with a positive outlook barring a few obvious exceptions. If you personally don't like a character then posts about them are always tagged on this blog for you to block any tags you need to! I'm Strix and this my (main) blog. The character portrayed here is an original who has lived rent-free in my head for 10+ years. Rhiannon has many verses that she has been adapted to including but not limited to: Marvel, ASOIAF/Fire & Blood, The Last of Us, and Dragon Age.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:

Writers that are at least 18+. 21+ would be ideal. Minors will be will be blocked!

Engagement. I do expect to have some form of communication with my writing partners. We don't have to be up each other's bums 24/7/365 but I'd like to chat on occasion. We do not have to be mutuals to write/talk! This hobby requires communication.

Honesty. It's totally fine if you aren't interested in doing a plot I've brought up. I would rather you actually be engaged in whatever we're writing together. Things that are one-sided are never fun.

Respect. I work full time and I'm married. I also suffer from depression and generalized anxiety. I also have ADHD on top of that. Real life will always come first. Replies will generally take time. If it's been a while, you can give me a poke but please don't badger me.

FANTASY! I've been hyperfocused on the high fantasy genre for some time now; that's not likely to change anytime soon. Some of my favorite fantasy fandoms include: Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, ASOIAF, and D&D. (Shockingly enough, I'm really not into LOTR or WoW.)

SCI-FI! More superhero/superpower-forward stuff, like Marvel and DC. I do like Star Wars and whatnot but it'd have to be a plot I'm 100% into to get me motivated.

SHIPS! I'm a slut for ships, okay. I'm always down for it. If you're shy about bringing it up to me, don't be; chances are I probably ship it too.

INTRODUCTION This is a private, medium-activity blog for an original character who has plenty of AUs, spanning across multiple fandoms, including but not limited to: Marvel, DC, Dragon Age, etc. I'm open to crossovers. ;)

I'm Strix. I've been writing off and on for 20+ years and would prefer to write exclusively with people 18+ (20+ ideally). Re: dragons, nothing is going to be universal to all dragons, since there's such a variety of us, but:

- Biking feels very much like flying, from what I hear (fun fact about me I never learned how to ride a bike) - Climbing trees or rock climbing! Anything that lets you get up high, and preferably lets you chill up there for a while. If you can get on a rooftop (safely) that's also good. Indoors, even just sitting/hanging out on tables, countertops, etc. where you're on a higher level than usual can feel nice, at least to me. - Bunk beds. Top bunk is both a sentry point and a way to hang curtains to make the bottom bunk an enclosed den/lair. Alternatively, a closet or any nook and cranny you can find can be made into an enclosed den, whether permanent or temporary - Quadrobics! Just make sure you don't overdo it and hurt yourself. - Honestly, physical labor/exercise, especially a) short bursts of high power rather than endurance exercise and b) violent forms of exercise like martial arts (I like Krav Maga, personally, because you can go completely feral and nobody judges bc that's just how Krav is), make me feel strong and powerful, which in turn helps me connect with draconity - Gear - T-shirts with dragon graphics, tails, horns, scale mail (or fur accessories/clothes for furred dragons), dragon jewelry, jewelry in general if you're a dragon who hoards, etc. - Vocalizing, as best you can - a true roar isn't really possible with human vocal cords, unfortunately, but that doesn't mean you can't make some dragon sounds at least. - Don't be afraid to engage your prey drive in play, if you have one - games like tag, hide-and-seek where people are allowed to run if they think they've been found, variations on the theme of "catch the ball", or even capture-the-flag can do that. Hell, tape some jerky onto the top of an RC car and have a friend drive it around for you to chase; I've been wanting to try that for ages.

Re: wolves, I actually can't think of any wolfkin/wolf therian blogs I know off the top of my head for some reason (I'm sure there's somebody who's slipping my mind but I cannot for the life of me think of who), but from what I've read and can gather from what I know about wolves:

- Dens, again - Howls, growls, vocalizations - Hanging out with your "pack", your close friends, if you have those - wolves are deeply connected with a small group, wary of outsiders; that may or may not translate to your current social behavior, but spending bonding time with your pack is a good thing regardless, especially if you can act more wolfy around them - Quadrobics, again - Exercise probably runs to the side of endurance exercise for wolves - y'all're persistence predators, so try walking or jogging! - Prey drive in play, again (for that matter, look up what zoos do in enrichment programs for wolves and see if it gives you any ideas for things that sound fun!) - Gear, again

Hopefully that gives you a start - I'm aware there's a lot of overlap; that's probably to be expected from two predatory usually-fairly-intelligent species ^^; Anyone in the notes feel free to add on what works for you!

Hi guys!! I'm Fae and almost all of you have no idea who I am.

Actually, that makes perfect sense, since I was active on tumblr from 2012-2017ish and most of the people of that generation, like me, moved to twitter (which is currently in a stage similar to 2015 tumblr, but like, with actual famous people) . I went through multiple fandoms, had many mutuals, saw the rise and fall of many prominent blogs, was here during dashcon, observed all the drama, grew up with a lot of people that it's insane to think, "I followed you on tumblr when we were both 15 and now we're 24", and encountered all the pressure and hate that pushed me off the site, deactivating my previous blogs completely. Hell, I went by a different name altogether, then.

But here I am, back here, starting fresh, giving this another try since I'm creating content full time now. That's so weird to type out. That's something I could only dream about when I was doing a cosplay rp blog in a donated binder while in high school. A lot has changed, besides just the fact that I can make content now. I escaped my house, moved several states away, tried (and failed) college, have a pretty good software job despite that, live with my soulmate with our cat, am receiving the mental illness treatment I've always been denied, and I am so so so soooooooooo much happier.

Despite most of the blogs I used to follow having been hacked and turned into porn bots or other scam sites, I'm going to give this a try, because why not?

Dunno honestly lmao it was a spur of the moment kind of thing. I had no idea for a fancy name (I am. very bad at naming things) so I was just like. "dnd is cool. Dragon Age is a dnd based. let's go with that." and that's all there is to it

This is my side blog haha. Decided to make it cos I was (and still am) very deep in Dragon Age Hell and didn't want to spam my main blog with my shouting about it and rambling about my DA OCs 24/7

My main blog (which is @layalu) I started getting more active on because I was getting really fed up with deviantArt (they overhauled the site about a year ago and it's even more of a mess than it was before), and while I'm still on there too it's mostly just for one single ARPG, and even that is slowly transitioning to discord/their own website so who knows. I mean knowing me chances are I'll stay there anyway lol because yknow, sentimental attachment, but I think the switch to tumblr is gonna be more or less permanent. For now, at least

I joined in October 2017 but wasn't really active until April this year. Made this blog around the same time too. Tbh didn't expect that I'd stay active for more than like a month or so lmao

Again, so I can have an outlet for (one of) my current obsession aka DA lmao. Didn't expect that I'd be this active, but the community is really kind and fun and that's what's been keeping me here. Originally screenshotted that loading screen in case I needed it for reference/lore theory notes later on and just thought it looked cool. Also the colours fit

Almost 400 now, somehow??? Which is absolutely insane. I don't know how that happened and it's a bit scary because that is a lot of people (for me it is anyways), but I'm really grateful and flattered too!! <3

61 :') I'm kinda picky about who I follow because I'm always very wary about how far I want to extend out into the reaches of the internet, especially in fandoms, and I'd rather have my small circle of people who I'm comfortable with. Much easier to stay out of drama and nasty places that way

12: Have you ever made a shitpost?

Pff yea. I'm more likely to reblog shitposts than make them myself though because I'm not the best shitposter lol, but you better bet I love me some good shitposts

13: How often do you use tumblr each day?

Depends? Probably comes down to like 1-2 hours most days, more when there's a lot of stuff to read or art to admire on my dash or I'm answering asks etc.. Usually I'll just check my notes every now and then in between doing things and maybe scroll through my dash, so I'm rarely on for long at a time.

14: Did you ever have a fight/argument with another blog once? Who won?

Nah. I don't have enough reach/contact for others to come and start arguments with me luckily, and I try to stay away from drama and fights myself. I'm not conflict avoidant and will debate/defend myself within reason if need be but I'd still rather the need for that doesn't arise at all. I'm just here to vibe, not to fight. Also like. not getting into fights really isn't that hard lol. Plus, everyone's been super nice so far so I don't think I'm gonna have beef with anyone any time soon.

If you tell me "I need to reblog" I will not reblog on principle.

Yea, they're fun! I'm always a bit insecure about tagging people myself (if I ever tag you and you'd rather not get tagged, please tell me!), but I always get excited when I get tagged haha

Bruh I don't even get crushes on irl people lmao. I do really appreciate and admire my mutuals (and a whole bunch of people who aren't mutuals) though!! There are some I-think-you-are-very-cool-and-I-would-love-to-be-friends-but-you-feel-way-out-of-my-league kind of people though, if that counts haha
