Gojō Satoru's rude awakening
Tumblr media
I'm refusing to let myself seriously entertain the possibility that Gojō can come back after chapter 236. However, that's because I'm trying to protect my future self from disappointment, not because I think it's implausible — and I really want to talk about this image!
A couple of days ago, @runabout-river shared an interesting theory about what might happen next for Gojō. The post itself is well worth a read, but it was the choice of the above image that really set my mind alight. This scene is fresh in our minds after the anime adaptation of Hidden Inventory, and timing is clearly never an accident with Gege Akutami. So, why is it relevant now?
We see Gojō giving himself over to his past, lost in his happy dreams of his youth, only for Megumi — Gojō's first student and a symbol of the future that he envisions — to bring him back to the present by telling Gojō, "You're the one who called us here, please don't go dozing off."
In other words, "You're the one who dragged us into all of this, don't go pretending this isn't reality just because it's nicer in the past."
Tumblr media
In my immediate reaction to 236, I said:
Gojō's dying bloody smile shows he's at least happy in his final moments. [...] Although, if Gojō actually is at peace in death, maybe that's the reason Gege will bring him back. He'll *never* let that man be happy, I swear.
It was just a joke, but seeing @runabout-river's post made me realise that Akutami has already set a precedent for 'punishing' Gojō for looking backwards. When he's dreaming about his past, Megumi scolds him and brings him back to the present. When he 'lets his mind wander' to his blue spring in Shibuya, he literally gets locked in a box where time doesn't pass, only to immediately find himself at the bottom of Japan's deepest ocean trench when his students bust him out to fix the problem he created.
Tumblr media
As a side note, in both of these moments, the anime adaptation played a melancholy version of Gojō's Limitless theme — the audio representation of Gojō's youth. I'll eat my hat if it doesn't play again when chapter 236 is eventually adapted (I shared some more insights into some of the easter eggs hidden in the season 2 score in my mini review of the Hidden Inventory soundtrack if you wanna read).
If Gojō dies here, looking backwards to his youth, then he's taking the easy way out and that's what I find hardest to swallow about 236. Gojō leaves what is potentially the most difficult conversation he'll ever have — telling Megumi the truth about his father — to Shōko. He leaves his students to deal with the fallout of his failure to cremate Getō's body. He's saddling the people he loves with the responsibilities he leaves behind, and that's not fair.
However, we won't know if that's what's happened for sure until the whole story is told. Gojō doesn't mention his students in this chapter, and lots of people were bewildered that he seems unconcerned about their safety in a world without him. While that could simply be explained by his faith that they've "got it from here", there's a chance that he genuinely didn't think about it and he's about to get a rude awakening as his punishment — hence, "I pray that this isn't just a delusion".
I would *adore* it if Shōko dragged him back to life kicking and screaming, hauling him away from his pleasant fantasy of youth to tell him, 'No, you and Getō don't get to leave me behind to pick up the pieces again'. Because isn't that Shōko as a character? The one who's left to pick up the pieces in their wake? The one to heal the wounds and lay the bodies to rest while everyone forgets she's even there?
Tumblr media
It would be the most character development she ever receives, and I'd love to see how Gojō and Shōko's dynamic changes when he's not the 'Strongest' anymore. So, in Shōko's own words:

|| Laundry (Yuji X Reader) ||
Our sweet boy deserves better, when I catch you gege
Tumblr media
Like with most confessions, it was uttered softly when it was hardly the time nor the place. An apologetic smile grazed Yuji's lips when you threw a pair of socks at him, chewing him out for putting his clothes in your pile of laundry when he was too lazy to wash them himself. "Thanks," He catches the socks mid-flight, "I love you."
"Huh?" you furrow your brows, watching his cheeks flush pink when you look at him, "It's just laundry, Yuji."
"Yeah, I mean, uh -" He attempts to string a whole sentence together, realizing slowly what he just said, "I mean, thanks."
"You just said that." You say, watching him struggle to find something else to direct his attention to, squeezing a freshly dried sock in his hand.
"I'll do my own laundry next time." He exhales. -
"I'll never recover from this," Yuji sighs, staring hopefully at Nobara, waiting for her to find a quick fix for his trouble.
"Well," She says, "You're right. Just move to another country, I'd even change my name to be sure. Perhaps look to the far ends of the world for a Jujutsu technique that can erase memories?" Nobara always liked to pull a serious expression when saying such nonsense, just to wind Yuji up more.
"You think such a thing exists!?" He exclaims. Nobara groans, "She probably didn't take it seriously. You should think of doing something romantic, and then tell her again how feel."
"Maybe I should do her laundry?" He ponders aloud.
"Yeah - sure, sounds great, Yuji." She rolls her eyes at him, hoping something better would eventually come to his mind.

Tis not for me, but I think of all my ships Hualian is the one most likely to be into ageplay. They spend the whole damn first season/volume like,
Hua Cheng, batting his eyelashes and twiddling his thumbs: Uwu I am but a mischievous and strangely encyclopedic teenager who has run away from home. I will sleep in the woods tonight, unless some kind gege takes me in. 🥺 I'm scared of ghosts, gege. Won't you tell me my fortune, gege? Won't you brush my hair for me, gege?
Xie Lian, in a cartoonishly creaky exaggerated old man voice: Oh what a handsome young man, all the girls must chase you ehehe. I'll protect you from the ghosts, sonny. If only I had some strapping lad around to fix my nonexistent front door and carry the wood for me. I can't leave you out here overnight. Let me brush your hair.
When of course Xie Lian actually clocked who Hua Cheng really was after like .02 seconds. Dorks.

Before You Go-Jin Itadori x Reader (Jujutsu Kaisen)
(A/N: Why did Gege draw almost all of JJK dad's attractive dilfs?! Anyways I've decided to write a short fic of Jin Itadori one shot since others have simped over Toji. Don't think anyone else thinks Jin is attractive, nobody requested this but I decided to write this. Let me know if anyone wants part 2, though it's already being planned. Also, should smut be included or not? Let me know JJK fans.)
Tumblr media
Summary: Jin and You have been friends since childhood, final exams are coming up now determining both of your futures. You're crush on Jin Itadori is known to everyone, so you make it seem like you haven't studied for exams for spend time with him. It's Christmas Eve when head to his home and a decision is made when you're both alone.
"Reading that book again, Jin?" I blush when the pink haired man with glasses focuses his eyes back on me when he decided to close the book he had. Taking a small break from it.
"Finals are approaching, (Y/N). I gotta give it my all pass the test, you know how my father will be if he finds out I didn't pass."
I chuckle at him always becoming worried when it came to exams. "Don't stress yourself too much, Jin. You're the smartest guy in class, and the smartest man I've ever met."
Jin pouts while looking at me as he fixes his glasses back in his nose.
"You want me to help you in studying, don't you?"
I chuckle and try to laugh it off but saw a small smile spread across Jin's face when I sat back down with him and nudged my shoulder with his, leaning a bit too close to him.
The cold didn't bother me a bit if it meant I could get close to Jin. The weather was getting chilly since it was December and snow had fallen a dew days ago, and Christmas was just a day away.
"If you're so kind or have the time to. Then yes, I would gladly like you to help me."
Jin sighed struggling to not smile again. "You owe me this time, (Y/N)."
"Know what? For what's left of the school year I'll bring you lunch everyday, that'll make us even. I know how much you love my cooking." I blushed glancing over to look at his cute face.
"You're cooking is really good. You'll make a fine housewife someday."
I blushed a deeper shade of pink when he said that, "You think so?!"
Jin hummed in agreement and turned to smile at me.
"Then I'll make sure to marry a man who'll love my cooking. Maybe the man I'm looking to marry might be closer than I think." I smiled wide deciding to go further with the flirting.
"Maybe so.." Jin said fixing his glasses again and opening his book again, now passing it onto his other hand so I could take a good look at it as well.
Jin began to explain further on the subject and what might possibly be on the final exams. I didn't really may much attention on the topic since I already knew all about it, I just wanted to be as close to him as possible, be with him since I don't know if he's planning on traveling soon since we'll both be graduating from college.
The two of us remained together with me pretending to pay attention when I rested my head of my crushes shoulder, I felt him tense a bit when I did that and I internally chuckled when Jin had stuttered and quickly continued with his lesson.
"So, did you get any of that?" Jin asked closing the book and glancing down at me. I looked up and shook my head.
"Nope. I'm sorry."
Jin sighed defeated and I quickly sat back and watched him begin to stretch and stand up. "Well, it's getting late-"
"Let me make dinner for you!" I shouted making him look at me surprised. "I-I mean…yes! I made you stay out here on campus when you could've declined teaching me, let me cook something for you and your dad." I offered.
"What about your par-" Jin didn't finish the sentence and came over and rested his hand on my shoulder.
"Let's go, (Y/N)."
It must've slipped from Jin's mind…when he was about to mention my parents. It had been a year since they passed away, or killed as the news officially said, no evidence or anything was found on who killed them.
For a short time when that happened, the small Itadori household let me stay with them. If it weren't for Jin, would've been long gone.
My parents knew about my crush on Jin Itadori and I would often dream and tell them that'd they better be present on our wedding. A girl can dream..I wanted them to take part in the many things I wanted to do, unfortunately I was alone now.
"I'm home!" Jin announced when he was the first to step into his and his father's shared home. I placed my belongings near the entrance and took my shoes off before going inside the residence.
"I brought (Y/N) home!"
Jin loudly said and I walked with him with grocery bags in hand. The older Itadori suddenly appeared before us looking over at his tall son and over to me.
A small smile forming on his face, "Ah (Y/N)! It's always nice to see you with my son. This is your home too."
I smiled blushing when I felt Jin's eyes on me as he held a glass of water and started to drink, I bowed a bit and held the bags up a bit. "Thank you very much, sir. If there's no trouble I'll be preparing you both meals for the night."
"You're too kind, (Y/N). You know, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, I see you're all ready doing fantastic job on my son, Jin."
Jin who has been drinking choked on the water and started to cough onto the sink. I raced over to him quickly dropping the bags and patting Jin's broad back.
We both heard his father laughing. "I'll leave you two lovebirds alone." He suggested with a small smirk and left towards the living room area.
"That old man." Jin smirked wiping his mouth and standing back straight, "it's nice to see him like this every now and then."
I smiled and looked up at him. "I really care for him as well. I hope you'll like what I'm preparing to cook." I rolled my sleeves up and began row ash the vegetables.
While doing so I heard some pans being taken out of the shelf. I turned and saw Jin wiping them and making sure they were dirty to use, "You think I'm gonna let you be the only one to cook?"
I hum and smiled. "Fine. You can help me out just a bit, but then you'll be out of the kitchen." I said continuing to wash the vegetables and slowly my sleeves began to lower themselves down about to get wet.
I gasped lightly when Jin grabbed my arms and began to carefully roll the sleeves to my dress up, making sure they wouldn't slip again.
"There wouldn't want you to get that cute dress wet." I blushed heavily and felt my heart beating faster.
"How about the person wearing it?!" I quickly asked.
Jin chuckled and simply patted my head. "Let's get cooking, (Y/N)." He said winking at me.
"Ahh this smells delicious!" My mouth watered at the many dishes I prepared with the help of Jin. His father, Jin and I were sat down on the cushions and saying a small prayer.
From outside of the Itadori home, I could see the sky getting darker with snow beginning to fall and many colorful Christmas lights brightening up the streets.
"And let's thank (Y/N) for preparing this delicious meal for us, may many blessings fall on you, my dear." Itadori's father said.
Making me blush and smile at the older man with Jin pouting at his father. "I also helped, you know?"
Ignoring his son, his father continued to speak. "When I'm on my deathbed promise me you'll continue to be a part of his family, and bringing me your famous chicken soup I enjoy."
My expression on the old man softened. Maybe he meant it if Jin and I were to marry, if I would continue to look after him too.
"Don't mind the old man." Jin sighed making his father hit his shoulder with a newspaper.
"Stop slouching and sit up straight." Jin nearly choking on the tea I prepared.
I began to chuckle then laugh at their interactions. "Don't you worry, sir. I'll continue to be a part of your family until the day I die. That's if your son is willing to accept me as well."
I blushed and hid my face looking at my lap. "I-I" Jin stuttered and his father answered for him.
"He accepts! Now let's dig in before the food gets cold." His father seemed really happy. Jin and I glanced at one another and smiled with a bright blush on both of our faces.
"You're more than welcome to spend the night here. It's getting colder and it can be dangerous to walk back home, thought we wouldn't have allowed you to leave if you had insisted." Jin's father had told me earlier when the three of us finished eating.
It was late and the streets were completely empty. Snow continued to fall and decorate the once melting ground. The night felt so peaceful.
I smiled to myself when I heard Jin's father snoring throughout the small home. I remained seated staring outside the glass door and watching the snow gently land on the door, and also admiring the medium sized Christmas tree I had gifted to them which was lit up colorful lights.
"Couldn't sleep either, huh?" Jin's gentle voice said when he came and saw me seated on the cushions.
"Decided to stay up a bit longer." I softly said still staring outside and turning to look at him. He was wearing warm pajamas, while I was wearing some clothes he lend me, pants that fitted a bit too big along with another large hoodie that could fit two people due to how small I am.
I also had a warm blanket over my shoulders. "Tomorrow's the final exams.." I commented.
"Want me to help you out?" I shook my head at Jin's offer and smiled looking at him again.
"I'm good. Thank you for always looking out for me."
I felt Jin move from where he once was and he took a seat down next to me and now drapped the blanket over on both of us. The close contact to him made me now blush a lot more, if he were to lean closer I think he would be able to hear my heart beating faster.
Jin hummed looking at me when I quickly looked away from his eyes, I felt him fixing his glasses before I felt one of his hands land in my forehead.
"You okay, (Y/N)? You seem a bit too red."
"No! I-I'm completely fine."
I began to overthink things now and was truly scared. Final exams. Depending on what we might want to work for, we could remain in Japan, leave the city or country. I don't want Jin to leave if any offers would be given to him by the choice in work he's been studying for.
Before Jin could pull his hand away I quickly grabbed it with my right hand, making him look down at me surprised. Without spilling any tears I looked over to him.
"Are you scared, Jin? On what the future might hold…for us?" I muttered not wanting moments like these to end.
"Honestly I am..but I know my father will have my back no matter what I decide to do. I'll have to learn to out those fears aside.. I'll have to work hard I can give my old man a nice life for the remaining year's…how about you? Do you have a goal in mind?"
I blushed and thought not too hard. "This might sound stupid..But I want to have kids. Children of my own."
My answered seemed to surprise Jin. "Don't you think it's a bit too early for that?" He joked still holding my hand.
Whatever our relationship may be. It's clear as day to anyone that we both care about each other a lot, pining over each other from time to time and it's clear there's an attraction on both sides. Thing is nothing has been official and no words have been said about it.
"Wouldn't you want to have kids? Maybe a small Jin running around the place?" I suggest and saw Jim thinking hard until he smiled a bit.
"A small Jin, huh? Another boy filling up the household..a girl would be a nice addition too." His words warmed my heart.
"Guess I'll have to find the right person for the job." We both said at the same time and smiled.
We both went back to looking at the window and I never felt so calm and relaxed in Jin's arms. Starting a life with Jin and having a family, kids with him doesn't sound like a bad idea at all.
"Jin…"
My eyes widened a bit when I felt his hand under my chin making me look up at him. I could see his warm eyes under his glasses. I began to close my eyes when Jin started to lean down further to me, my hands went up to grasp onto his hoodie when I felt his lips press against my own. I closed my eyes and hummed into the kiss when one of his hands was now placed behind my neck cradling me closer to him.

Can I ask your top 10 fav fics ever (from any fandom, if you don't mind)?
Also, just curious, is there a story behind your name "yaoshifollower"?
my name is a game reference! i picked it in April-May last year when i just started playing hsr and we got introduced to the aeon/god of abundance Yaoshi, i really liked their design and the idea that even good blessings can be harmful if taken to extreme. which is why i am their follower!
Tumblr media
now, for my top ten fics, i am going to limit myself to jjk only but i can do a general list too if anyone is interested
(not ranking them because it's something i always struggle with ranking anything)
1. every jjk fic by voxofthevoid @voxofthevoid, because they'd take up the entire list otherwise. i can't chose one favourite tho the way it follows you home, the stories i never told and isolation neophyte, too afraid to taste your conscience are close contenders for the first place
i adore the way he writes Gojo, that arrogant selfish bastard, and Yuuji, my precious baby can do no wrong 🥰, their interactions with each other and people around them (gege could never). and the smut is always top tier, i am still not over one particular line and i don't think i ever will be
2. still water by movequickly. it's ita/fushi, a canon divergent au from 212 chapter of manga and i just really love Megumi's characterization, the introspection on his relationship with others, something we lack in manga, and Sukuna specifically. also there is minor suku/ita and i am obsessed with the fucked up flavour of it!! like yes yes, this is exactly the way i want them
3. putredine by EvilPeaches. hints of ita/fushi, but mostly suku/ita. also another perfect depiction of the fucked up relationship Sukuna and Yuuji have. Yuuji wins but loses so much in the process you are left to wonder if the victory was worth it. in the end skita merge becoming one person (very fucked)
warning: check tags for both fics, especially the third one (people were talking in the comments about how dark it was but i just got horny 😔)
4. i'll be anything you ask of me by Anonymous. mostly hiita, with some goyuu. short and sweet, Yuuji-centric and encourages him to ask for what he wants, which is something i always approve of. comfort fic for me
5. this side of paradise by omontz. goyuu 236 au, Satoru's death starts a time loop with Yuuji forced to live through each in Satoru's pov. i rarely see time loop fics not from the pov of the person experiencing it and this fic does it perfectly. each loop is perfect and it made me cry, oh poor Yuuji he suffered for so long
6. "But to you it's just words" by WriterOfTheMaximum (@the-hurdy-gurdy-man , hope i didn't mistag lmao), a historical goyuu au where they walk a lot . Gojo characterization is very important to me and he is so perfectly imperfect here, just the way he is in the manga. Yuuji is a precious boy ofc, love this fic very much and i am going to reread it soon
7. Convergence by NoGravity, a canon divergent goyuu au in which Yuuji with the prison realm end up in the past (pre hidden inventory arc). Yuuji tries to unseal Satoru and get back to the future while also getting closer with teen Satoru. teen Satoru's jealousy of his older self was super cute. and while the results of their actions in the past didn't fix their future, it created an alternate universe. in the end both goyuu of the og universe and the alternate one are happy together
8. Lipstick by Lumieerie. one of my fave goyuuge fics, just very lovely and super delicious smut, i read it multiple times
9. Misplaced calls by J_c_nth. a loor at Gojo's time in the prison realm during which he receives calls from Yuuji from a different universe. some just met their Satoru z some haven't, some know him well and some really well. those calls make him confront his own feelings for Yuuji and realise how much he loves him
10. Touch me, touch you by rizna. senpai/kohai au goyuu being stupid and stupidly in love and making other people suffer for it

Hello!! I just wanna drop by and say i enjoyed your Utahime thoughts! And i wanna share s couple of my cents if that's alright? Here we gooo
So I'll start by saying that i have nothing against anyone that ships gjhm, that's the beauty of fandom and aus and stories. however, i have tried to see the appeal in a realistically speaking sense within the context of the actual story and i just cannot. for the life of me. Like it's pretty evident that Utahime does not like Gojo, and that he's very disrespectful towards her, however, there is the trust they share because of their roles as teachers and their ideology. it's not that Utahime is an unreasonable person that would turn down an offer that would put her students in harms way right? but the thing is, I don't think the story ever set up any sublots for them to like each other you know? And I don't wanna be a killjoy when i say this altho i probably am, but rather that it's just not something author has envisioned for them?
i do think Gojo likes Utahime, but just not in a romantic sense, and this sort of dynamic is really reminiscent of that i would find in siblings, where one is endlessly annoying and the other wants to strangle the younger. i think if the story went the other way instead of the one it went now, Utahime and Gojo should cooperate and be understanding of one another as in good colleagues/friends? but given how Utahime was written and her limited appears in the story, luckluster and underwhelming sometimes, it's nearly impossible, and it's mostly on gege because all these characters have so much potential yet he only utilizes them as plot devices, in short it's not about the characters unfortunately.
and frankly i can't blame people for creating aus, in fact go ahead, it's what makes shipping so great! like i love to ship gojo too, mostly with geto or sometimes shoko heck i even like to pair him with ocs or readers too! but idk why i just can't picture him and Utahime ever being in a relationship at least within the story like context. again i don't wanna undermine anyone who loves this ship, i am all supporting but i just wanted to get out how i see it. Hope this wasn't confusing!
I see what you're coming from, Anon! People have varying preferences/opinions, and that's the beauty of it! I know Gege wouldn't draw out a romance plot line because he stated he ONLY sees it for mutamiwa. I can be delusional with gjhm BUT realistically, I’d never trust Gege EVER to handle a romance plot line cuz it will probably end tragically lol.
Imma try to speak from gojohime pov and give some insight why I personally love the ship.
I think the gjhm fans that I've seen doesn't ship them just because its ability to be canon but instead the dynamic that gjhm offers. Like you said Utahime does hate him while Gojo seems to like her, and the most funny part for me is that Gojo genuinely believes her "annoyance" is a joke between them. The way I see it, it offers this a slowburn romantic comedy potential with Gojo learning to get over himself, step up, and have this massive realization of falling for Utahime. I had this convo with my moot ola and moot said how basically Gojo just went “shit, she CAN fix me!” with Utahime (Because ya know how Utahime is everything Gojo isn’t) thus he continues to bug her xD
There's just so much to "play" with their dynamics honestly if you take them out of the canon story. You'd think that a slow burn romance would be two people earning each other's trust then doing all the slowly loving/liking part, but since the story already has set up that gjhm have each other trust because they share the goal of teachers fostering the new generation of sorcerers plus their decade of familiarity with each other, it makes you think what's more to this slowburn romcom?
Well, the way I see it, their opposing teaching beliefs can help them learn from each other and be better teachers. Gojo will be forced out of his emotionally constipated ways. Utahime's strength in her patience and ability to connect with other will be highlighted. They can be such a fun colleagues to lovers slowburn romcom type of story ya know which I honestly find hilarious xD So yehhh thats basically why I ship these two fuckers :^)

Twenty degrees below zero
The wind bites into the cold stillness of the large banks of snow, quick, angry and relentless, scattering snowflakes all over. Tall trees sway with the force of it, movements sharp and uncoordinated, shaking off the buildup of ice on snow on the barren wood. The bone-chilling howling of the wind is the only sound that fills the otherwise lonely landscape... that, and a pair of heavy, tired footsteps.
Wei Ying knows that he has to keep moving no matter what. He knows he has to will his aching, freezing feet to move, he has to keep walking. If he stops, he won't get up again, he won't find it within himself to fight his exhaustion anymore and he'll die frozen to death.
He can't, not now, not with the little boy he's carrying in his arms, so young and fragile and beautiful, so ravenous for life. He can't give up, no matter how much he's hurting, how hard it is for him to breathe as the wind whips up against him, biting into his skin.
He has to keep A-Yuan covered in the warmest of his clothes, even if that leaves him open to the whims of the harsh winter. He has to keep moving so they both can live.
It's so impossibly cold that even his tears have frozen on his cheeks, painful. Every single part of his body feels frost-bitten, equal parts numb and painful.
There is no shelter around. He has to keep moving. He has to find somewhere to hide into, away from this wintry hell, and then he'll finally be able to afford the luxury of sitting down. Maybe even warming up. He doesn't think he remembers what any of that is like. He's been walking for days now.
A-Yuan stirs. "Xian-gege..."
"Hm?"
"It's really cold... can we go home now?"
Home doesn't exist anymore. It's been destroyed, reduced to ashes, to nothing. Ruins, covered in ice and snow now.
"I'll find us a new home, okay?" Wei Ying struggles to smile, leaving a cold kiss on the boy's forehead as he fixes the clothes and blankets around him nore tightly. "You just have to hang on a little more for me, okay?"
"Okay..."
Wei Ying brings the boy even closer to his body, trying to share in his sparse body heat. If only he still had his golden core... now, he only feels the scar on his dantian aching. Resentful energy doesn't keep warm and corpses are too cold and unfeeling to care for a child.
Wei Ying spots a little cottage in the distance. It almost feels like it's a mirage, an illusion - Wei Ying's been praying to find some semblance of shelter so much that it feels too good to be true when he seems to have found it.
But he is so cold and so scared that A-Yuan might freeze to death and join the rest of his relatives (the relatives that have begged Wei Ying to run off with him, to forget the siege and the amulet and everything, just save the little one) that he gathers all his dimming strength and manages to stumble to the little house and almost can't believe that it is real.
The door is held closed by a latch so rusty that even Wei Ying, weak as he is right now, manages to break it. He feels like he could cry from happiness, finally sheltered from the blizzard outside.
The place is modestly furnished, but does have a little fireplace and enough firewood to last a few days. Whoever used to live there must have left it, and Wei Ying is so grateful to this person that he could sell his soul to them. The bed is stacked with blankets too, woollen. Expensive.
Wei Ying slowly peels a sleeping A-Yuan off him and bundles him into the soft blankets, then lights up one of the only two candles around. A-Yuan is scared of the dark, and it's almost night time by now.
There is some rice left in the kitchen and some jugs of water - more than enough to cook some for A-Yuan and himself for a few days before the snow storm settles and he can go hunt something else. He can warm up some of that water to give the little one a bath while he lights up the fire, and maybe he can melt some snow for himself as well.
Wei Ying feels like this is all a dream. Just a few hours ago he was sure he would die in the cold, unable to keep his promise to the Wen remnants... now he has a place to stay and food to eat and wood to build a fire.
He gets to work right away, ignoring how painful his extremities are now that the cold can't numb them anymore.
---
A-Yuan soaks into the hot water happily as Wei Ying wipes the dirt off him with a piece of cloth, the soap leaving a delicate fragrance behind.
Wei Ying found a lot of useful things in the sparse drawers around: young boys' clothes, bath items, a comb, even some perfume. The person that lived there must have been a woman - Wei Ying found a hairpin and a bracelet in a little box, as well as a small thing of face powder.
There was also some medicine, although Wei Ying couldn't recognize what it was. The woman that lived there likely became ill and died, leaving her house abandoned. All the more luck to Wei Ying.
"You're all done." Wei Ying says as he picks A-Yuan up from the bathtub, helping him dress in one of the sets of robes he found in the house. "These were made for you, I swear! Now, go sit at the table and I'll bring you some food, alright?"
"Okay!"
A-Yuan doesn't seem to mind how flavorless the rice is, and eats it ravenously, color back in his cheeks. Wei Ying is so happy that he doesn't realize he's hungry too - not until A-Yuan pushes his little bowl towards Wei Ying, half eaten.
"Eat with me, Xian-gege! I know you're hungry too, we can share!"
Wei Ying swallows down his tears.
---
The house is toasty warm now, and its two inhabitants are bathed and well-fed at last. A-Yuan has long fallen asleep, bundled up in blankets onto the bed, so Wei Ying has finally allowed himself to bathe and try to tend to his health. He has decided to use a bit of that medicine he found, hoping it would maybe do something to help him, and, after brushing his hair, he quietly began washing his robes, dressed in the only set of white adult robes he found in a drawer.
He finds himself humming something as he hangs up the clothes to dry in the kitchen by the stove, and doesn't realize what it is or why it brings him so much comfort to sing it - but by the time he is done, he is pleasantly calm and tired enough to get into bed next to A-Yuan, securing the door to the best of his abilities.
The boy cuddles up to him, unconsciously, and Wei Ying holds him tight as he allows himself to relax and fall asleep.
---
Lan Wangji walks up to his mother's house the next morning, troubled with the dreams he had of her that night He can't remember much about what she looked or sounded like, but he remembers that she asked him to visit her at the Gentian house the next morning because she would be waiting for him there, on the bed, like always.
It is irrational, Lan Wangji knows. His mother has been dead for years, and he doesn't believe in prophetic dreams. He knows he might have dreamt of her because he's been feeling troubled and upset and his mind is seeking comfort. He knows he shouldn't be wasting time, he knows he will find the same empty house.
But he walks up the steps towards the house and the door gives so easily - and he almost falls over himself when he feels the fading heat of the fireplace and sees... sees Wei Ying in his mother's bed, holding little A-Yuan as they sleep, serene and quiet. And Wei Ying is wearing his mother's robe.

counting kisses
word count:1k
Pairing: songxuexiao
7:45AM
Xingchen listens to his favourite sex education podcast on a low volume while he fixes breakfast, feeling across the jar lids in the fridge until he finds the one for blueberry jam. The toaster is taking too long to pop up Xue Yang’s blueberry bagels. The coffee maker percolates. He listens to the shower, the rush of water on tile, the occasional splash.
Zichen exits the washroom in a cloud of steam, bare feet padding across the floor. Xingchen tips his face up. Zichen brushed a kiss across his cheek. He smells of citrus and cedar, skin damp and warm. “Morning,” he murmurs, sliding a hand across Xingchen’s hip.
“Morning.” Xingchen says happily back, and with a pleased sound, Zichen continues on to the bedroom to get dressed.

8:10AM
A Qing’s lunch waits for her on the kitchen counter. “I can’t find my—“
“Did you check under the couch?” Xingchen asks, since he distinctly remembers finding her favourite scrunchie there.
“Why would it—“ footsteps towards the living room. The sofa creaks as she leans on it. “Oh. Thank you gege!”
She rushes up, grabs her travel mug from his hand, kisses his cheek. “Gonna be at soccer today. Bye gege love you!” And she hurtles out the door.

11:27 AM
“Fuck!” Xue Yang darts out of the bedroom. He grabs at the bagel Xingchen left for him, soggy and cold, with a clatter, storms to the door to shove his boots on. Xingchen waits in the office door way.
“I told you to get up three times,” he teases.
“Fuck off,” Xue Yang grumbles, no heat. Finished with his shoes, he skips up a step, mindful not to go beyond the entry hall, and grabs at Xingchen’s hand to pull him closer.
“What are you wearing?” Xingchen asks. On the step above him, Xue Yang can tuck comfortably under his chin.
“Those jeans you like. And Zichen’s shirt.” Xue Yang slips his hands into Xingchen’s back pockets, and leans up so he can crush a searing kiss against his lips. His mouth is sticky with blueberry jam.
“You’re gonna be late.” Xingchen reminds, a little breathless, tempted to chase the taste of sugar and blueberries into Xue Yang’s mouth. He licks his lips.
“You’re a fucking tease.” Xue Yang mumbles. He pecks him on the lips again, and dashes out of the apartment.

5:15PM
Zichen’s return home brings the scent of fried chicken, salt and grease and fat. “I brought dinner,” he calls. Xingchen meets him at the door, taking the bags so Zichen can head straight to the washroom for his evening shower.
He sets the take out in the counter, and moves to the bathroom to lean against the door jam. The room is already steamy. Xingchen flicks on the vent. “How was your day?”
“Stressful.” Zichen calls over the shower spray, groaning gratefully under its heat. “There's only so many times I can explain the same thing before I feel like I'll explode.”
Xingchen places Zichen’s towel over the towel warmer (Xue Yang got it for Zichen for new years. He claims he was trying to bully Zichen for the amount of showers he took. They all know thats not true.) “didn't feel like cooking?”
“A Yang was complaining about junk food so…” he trails off awkwardly. The shower shuts off. Xingchen smiles. The shower curtain rattles as it's pulled back. The bathroom is small, with two fully grown men standing chest to chest.
“Can I help you destress, maybe?” Xingchen smirks.
Zichn makes a soft wanting noise, pressing him against the bathroom sink until Xingchen hops onto it. “Yeah,” he breathes, lips already brushing. They kiss, tongues tangling, sweetly exploring each others mouths. Zichen’s hair drips onto Xingchen’s face like tears. The mirror is cold against his back. He wants to let Zichen all the way inside him. They pause, take breaths, kisses pressed to a sharp chin or the corner of an eye, before they are kissing again, hungry for each other.
They don’t part until A Qing comes home.

10:35PM
The printer is making the clunky wheezy distresssed noises it makes when it is sick of working. Xingchen whole heartedly understands. He almost doesn't hear the front door close gently, or the office door whisper open.
“You’re late.” Xingchen murmurs, spinning in his chair and getting a lap full of Xue Yang for his troubles. He smell like coffee, chemically sweet and artificial, sweat and skin. Its digusting. Its also kind of nice.
“Bitch fucking Jessica was up her own fucking ass about closing tonight,” he grumbles from his place against Xingchen’s shoulder. The printer whines moodily. A thump, Xue Yang knocking the side with his foot. The printer sputters and resumes.
“Anything I can do to make you feel better, Yang’er,” Xingchen pouts out his lower lip.
“Yeah,” Xue Yang shifts until he’s straddling Xingchen’s lap. His fingers curl in Xingchen’s hair, tilting his face up, the tip of his nose trailing along Xingchen’s throat, up to the hinge of his jaw, a drag of teeth and lips, hot skin and hot breath. “Can kiss it all better, right?” Xingchen can feel Xue Yang’s smirk.
Instead of answering, he catches Xue Yang’s mouth with his own, trading kisses, broken only by the sharp nip of Xue Yang’s sharp canine, sinking into plump flesh, or scraping across his tongue, as thrilling as electricity.
They keep kissing until Zichen pushes the office door open. “You gonna eat dinner or should I put it away?”
Xue Yang laughs like a crow. “Having dessert first.”
“You’re so damn cheesy.” Zichen huffs, while Xingchen giggles helplessly into the hollow of Xue Yang’s throat.
30+
11:59PM
Xingchen tallies up the day’s kisses while he listens to Zichen brushing his teeth. Xue Yang clings to his side, sweaty and breathing heavily. It gusts against Xingchen’s neck, ticklish.
Its a pretty good count, by his estimation. The sink shuts off. The bathroom door swings half closed, leaving a crevice from the night light. The mattress dips as Zichen climbs in beside him.
He leans down, minty and cool, to kiss him. “Good night,” he murmurs.
“Night,” xue yang mumbles. He kisses Zichen first, then Xingchen, settling back into a coccoon of blankets.
Xingchen adds two more kisses to his tally, and goes to sleep.

I cannot express how much the Hidden Inventory arc has me in a chokehold
I've said it before, I'm not a real fan of JJK. I feel the same way about this series as I do about CSM- I love it artistically, I see the craft put into the manga as an artform itself (through the sequencing of the panels, the decisions in terms of angles) and thematically, I love it. However, I just don't like it because the series is a bit too nihilistic for me, or just a bit too dark for my tastes, and couple that with my constant mixed feelings on MAPPA- not wanting to support them for their working conditions despite the beautiful work they put out- and you get a general gist of why I will say I don't like JJK. I won't get more into the little other things because I did that before and I got a lot of replies on that post, so we'll get back to the point of this post.
However, Hidden Inventory has me in chokehold. And I know exactly why.
As a joke I said to my sister when I finally sat down to force myself to watch it (after I had already tried to watch S2 E1 after it aired and failed, and after I had seen a spoiler on Twitter for the fake-out scene with Geto and Riko), I made the joke "If the thing that gets me into JJK is some yaoi bait between Gojo and Geto then I'll-" and unfortunately, it was Gojo and Geto's arc that made me more interested in JJK. While my yaoi bait thing was a joke, I cannot lie that the angst of Gojo and Geto's dynamic was what made me more interested.
However, what had really been drawing me back into JJK was the choice in music, specifically the new opening. MAPPA keeps hitting it out of the park with their music choices for these adaptions. I'm still not over "Give it Back" and it's visuals being about everything Yuji missed out on/lost while having to pretend to be dead. And now the official Shounen Jump page made a video of Geto and Gojo with the Give it Back song playing and I-
This post is really just me rambling with no point to it, but Tatsuya Kitani's "Where Our Blue is" has been hitting me hard for weeks even before I finally read a translation of the lyrics yesterday. The lyrics talking about "Our Blue", and in the series Gojo demonstrating how the Jujutsu sorcerer's power is represented by "blue" while cursed energy is "red" and then of course Gojo has his "purple" ability. The way that "blue" is often used to describe youth or associated with youth in Japanese culture because of the kanji's use in the word seishun. The visuals of the opening being about all the moments of Gojo and Geto's high school days we don't actually see because we are dropped into the past in media res as everything collapses. We only get to watch the crumbling, the destruction, we don't get those good moments but we still feel it. We still feel how tragic it is this friendship, this relationship being torn to shreds. Feel how deeply these two care for each other, how one goes down a horrible path with no remorse while the other can only watch in horror.
The irony here is that, and I'm sure other people may have expressed this sentiment already, Gege Akutami is that good of a writer that I would have LOVED if JJK was actually completely focused on Gojo and Geto before introducing Yuji and Megumi and Nobara. How in a typical series that we would have started out with this flashback or how Gojo would usually be the main character instead and then the series would be reframed around his mentorship of the characters and trying to fix what was lost by his mistakes, but instead it's not about that. It's a side note, important background information but not the focus. And that just makes it more powerful because it just makes me long for more. It makes me want more of a slow burn, more of it visualized in the text where we see Geto and Gojo meet and be friends and then everything fall apart in the end. But at the same time, we have the iceberg theory with writing. The writing is strong enough that we don't need to actually spend time on any of that, the pain of this loss is expressed even in the short time we spend in this memory of these characters. The subtleties in the writing that only hint at or show glimpses of what we had do enough to establish their friendship before it is ripped apart before the audience's eyes. It's beautiful.
And the opening's lyrics only add to this. The way the song is clearly from Gojo's perspective, the idea of him saying that "their blue still lives", their youth, their memories, their ideology and dreams before everything went wrong, it's still alive. It's still clear. Gojo knows what he must do. Even if no prayer or word could reach Geto, Gojo will keep going. When they went their separate ways, Gojo was too confused and horrified to stop Geto, too attached to turn him in knowing that only death awaited him, he wanted to still believe that they could turn things around. The unvoiced voice says "We'll see each other again, won't we?" I also have felt that the song can also be interpreted to be about Riko who died too soon, specifically whenever I hear the lyrics "To you, who bloomed and fell away as a fruitless flower". And on a personal note, I have always loved the word play in Japanese on the main lyrics, how the singer uses two different phrases although they sound, very, very similar. The "our blue still lives"/[ima demo, ao ga sundeiru] and "Our blue is still clear"/[ima demo, ao wa sundeiru] is the main thing that kept me so latched onto this song even when I was not actually watching the show. Every choice in the lyrics of this song have destroyed me and drawn me back into this series, because it makes me want to believe that things will be fixed and that there is hope, even though I know there is none. The song gives off the feeling of this being the final farewell, of Gojo singing these thoughts even after Geto has died, almost to reassure himself that their blue is still alive, that he will carry on the will. It's wistful, its painful. It's beautiful. I love it.

Poly Hualian //
(read on AO3 here)
"Stay here!" Xie Lian instructs. "I'll go find it."
He Xuan stares after him as he hurries from the room, struck by sudden realization.
He's less interested in the new scroll Xie Lian found as he is in simply… spending time with him.
Does he have a friend?
He senses Hua Cheng's grin before he sees it, whipping around to glare at the other Calamity.
"I didn't say anything," Hua Cheng teases him.
"Good," He Xuan snaps, turning back.
"You see why I waited for him," Hua Cheng says. It's not a question.
He Xuan is instantly on guard.
He opens his mouth to - defend himself? What will that do, if Crimson Rain Sought Flower is convinced he's encroaching on his territory? He knows he's not as powerful as -
"Calm down," Hua Cheng says. "You're fine."
"He's yours," He Xuan says, short and clipped. "I won't -"
"Gege is his own person," Hua Cheng says, and now there's a hint of danger in his voice. "I won't shackle him."
He Xuan turns around again, staring at him.
"He'll always come back to me," Hua Cheng says, eye fixed on He Xuan. "And if you treat him badly…"
He trails off, not needing to finish his threat.
Xie Lian bounds back into the room. "A-Xuan!" he says, his smile blinding. "Look, it's at least a few centuries old -"
He Xuan glances down at the scroll, feeling dazed.
Xie Lian rambles on beside him. Behind him, Hua Cheng's presence is relaxed, as unthreatening as a ghost king can be.
He looks up at Xie Lian, and his gaze is met with that brilliant smile.
He feels like he's come home.
He'll always come back to me, Hua Cheng had said. I won't shackle him.
For a moment, given implicit permission, He Xuan allows his imagination free rein: his fingers intertwined with Xie Lian's, his lips on Xie Lian's soft hair.
He wants that.
Xie Lian points to some sentence, and He Xuan nods in acknowledgement, mind whirling.
Color begins to seep back into the world. Golden sunlight filters through the depths of his waterlogged heart.
For the first time since his revenge turned to poison in his stomach, he wants.

what are your thoughts on mahito?
...oh boy.
i'm sorry, but i love him. it took me about a year and a half to reach this conclusion -- i once hated his guts too, and i don't at all blame anyone who loathes him. y'all are totally valid. he's so, so hateable.
defending myself below cut. i have good reasons, i promise.
so why did i change my mind? okay. he's just so interesting. he's one of the most well-written villains i've ever encountered in media. it's hard to write an "evil just for fun" villain and make them compelling, but with mahito, gege absolutely succeeded. there are layers to it, in a way i've never seen written before.
he truly united almost the entire fandom against him. he fucked up so much in the story: junpei, mechamaru, nanami, nobara. his impact was insane. even beyond named characters, no body count even scratches his. towards the end, he was so brokenly powerful. i don't think kenjaku could've hoped to take him in if he weren't basically on the brink of death. even his final words are lashing out at his own ally, saying he always knew the end. yet he still did everything anyway.
honestly, as always, i'll keep most of my negative opinions to myself, but i really think every other jjk villain since shibuya looks like a joke next to him. he's my favorite jjk villain by so much it's almost funny. even sukuna and kenjaku don't reach his level for me.
sure, their impact on the story has obviously been pivotal. i've definitely had some strong emotional reactions to things they've done, but i want to see more emotions from them. what have we seen from sukuna? pretty much just rage, annoyance, and cruelty? uh, okay. and kenjaku has never shown anything more than vaguely amused indifference. he just can't incite an emotional reaction from me with that. what are their motives? what are their ideals?
yeah, i'm sure i'm missing a lot of themes or whatever with them, but i really don't flip over sukuna (hopefully that'll change...) and i never want to think about kenjaku more than i absolutely have to.
in contrast, mahito's emotions are so human, so complex. he has the widest range of emotion of any jjk villain. mahito's ideals are concise and an incredible foil for yuuji's. take this speech of his in shibuya:
"I bet you thought you were gonna do some pest control! Or ghost exterminations like in some make-believe story! You came to Shibuya with half-assed determination didn‘t ya?! How naive, you stupid brat! This is war! Not a battle to fix what‘s wrong! But a clash of truths! You and your fragile justice! You are me, Yuuji Itadori! I kill without a second thought, just like you save people without a second thought! The instincts of a curse against the so-called dignity obtained by human reason! It‘s a battle to determine who will be left standing in a hundred years! How the hell did you think you were gonna beat me when you don‘t even realize that? Tell me, Yuuji Itadori, have you ever stopped to count how many curses you‘ve killed? No, right? Me neither, me neither!"
this is insane. are you kidding me? are you kidding me. this is so fucking metal. he studies humans because they fascinate him: he reads books, watches movies, familiarizes himself with folklore and religions. yet despite that, he still sees humans as having no worth. their lives mean nothing to him. but his fixation on yuuji, his cognizance of their nature as character foils, proves how much grasp he has on human emotional depth.
i wish there was a better word for it, but he cared about yuuji: obviously not in the traditional positive, warm, affectionate sense, but in that he viewed yuuji as important to himself, his own ideals, and his own growth. if given more time, i think his emotional range towards humans could have become even wider.
conversely, as it stands at the end, curses do have worth to him. he helps a wounded hanami back to the base. this incredible post talks about how jogo is almost a father figure to him (and it's great mahito meta, too). i wish what that meta writer talked about came true. he left the story far, far too soon. i miss him so goddamn much. there's a gaping hole in the cast now that no other character can hope to fill.
i honestly can't wait to write more of him. tpg mahito's arc is literally insane, and honestly one of my favorites in the entire story. i seriously can't wait. i'd never try to make anyone like or root for him -- he's a villain, and always will be. but i want people to feel compelled in the same way i do. i'm missing so much in this analysis; i feel like i've barely scratched the surface.
mahito. his name means true human, by the way. if you think i'm not going to explore every aspect of that, you're in for a wild ride.

idk if there is, but if i find one i'll send it over to you asap cause i, too, am a suguru enjoyer long before i was a gojo stan. i just don't talk about him as much because, as silly as this may sound, villains don't usually stick well with me. like, the moment he turned to the opposing side i kind of lost interest, though not completely. i feel melancholic whenever i think of him i guess? like a past lover lost to time... thank god for fix-it fics/aus where he doesn't stray too far from the light or comes back to it.
i didn't mean to be so dramatic over a fictional character, whoops. my bad-- but yeah, i'll defo send a geto one to you if i found one! other than that, can we talk about virgin!gojo???? oh my god, i loved the way you characterized him there: you've probably heard this a thousand times already but i agree that he would be good at pleasuring you regardless. gege literally said the guy is good at anything if he tries. thanks for the food <3
i hope you have a good day/evening!
- 🍉
HI MELON <3 NO I GER WHAT YOU MEAN WITH THE VILLAIN THINg i totally relate but suguru is different 😞😞 idk his whole story is so sad bc i know he cares about his friends and toru so much but he just couldnt take it anymore,, swallowing curses does sound horrible too and like dedicating his whole life to doing that?? to protect the very thing that is causing all his pain and forcing him to do that in the first place?? i wouldve gone insane too man it wouldve been an endless cycle of suffering,, HE WAS SUCH A SWEETHEART TOO HE JUST DESERVED BETTER. starts cryinf in #1 suguru defender atp i need to make that my name
AND IDK IF YOUVE SEEN THAT ONE COMIC OF like geto spiralling but then shoko and toru come and comfort him and lie in bed w him??? IT MADE ME SO WARM but i also wondered like. theyre his best friends how tf didthey not notice this man dying inside and those big ass eyebags 🧌 never apologize for being drmaatic about fictional characters i am all here for it !!!!!!!

My full thoughts on the Shibuya Incident
Initially I was kind of hyped. With someone as powerful as Gojo, he had to have something done to him for the story to continue. It literally would be impossible to have high stakes if every fight was "we are waiting patiently for Satoru's big cock to get here so we can jerk him off right now!!!" Its great for narrative tension. Combined with the deaths in the first section/ season one of the anime, it really was good. I love that he got jar Douman'd. (A little meme for NA FGO players to enjoy.)
I fell in love with Geto so the fake Geto stuff is sad, but he is so hot. Geto is literally one of the hottest characters in the verse. I don't care that he isn't really Geto. I'm still down bad for him. Him being Choso's dad and Yuji's mom doesn't even bother me. I know it should. Everything about this man should bother me, but I don't think he knows what is wrong with him. He is cooking with the stove off and no oil in the pan, but that's okay. I'll just cook dinner instead. I'll fix him. Maybe... though for real? He is just a good overall "I'm here for chaos" villain. His plan is nonsensical, but DAMN he is PLANNING! Everything has gone right for him! Even better than he hoped sometimes!!! That's hot. You can't tell me that isn't so sexy. He is so fucked up. I need him biblically. Not sure I want to be experimented on, but with that face? I'd probably say yes.
THE DEATHS............................................ I can't think of a single one that was worth it. Mahito was the only person I wanted to die by arc's end, and it wasn't brutal enough for me to be satisfied.
Rip Hanami and Jogo. Best married couple. Dagon, our little creature, rip. You eating all those people were adorable, you did nothing wrong.
NANAMI 😭 NOBARA 😭 GETO'S DAUGHTERS 😭
At least they can be dead together .....😭
WHY DIDN'T MEI MEI DIE!!!!!!!!!??????? I HATE HER!!!!!! Literally the arc would have been better if she died. I'm not kidding.
Thank goodness Maki didn't die. I just... ahhhh.
The principal dying....................... pointless and stupid. Literally didn't know him and then he died. This felt like Gege wanted to kill off someone else and just did a lottery.
Toji gets a "best dad award!" We love him. 💕
CHOSO IS THE BEST CHARACTER IN THE FRANCHISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOTHING IS BETTER THAN A GUY WHO LOVES HIS BROTHERS AND MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED THIS MAN!!!!!!!!! I NEED HIM NOW AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
I'd do anything for Choso.
Miwa and Mechamaru (I don't know what his real name is sorry.) ........... honestly nothing hurts worse than that subway scene. I wish they could have been together. It just... I get it but I hate the themes of JJK. I might hate the story too at this point. I just am on the train to see the trainwreak.
Sukuna somehow takes sexy evil and makes it unsexy and boring. I want to like him, but gosh its so hard to. He is really... boring... Just like how it took me a while to realize I was being tsundere for Gojo, I just haven't decided how I feel about him. Like okay him blowing away that many people is hot but he made Yuji cry......I'm just kidding I just feel like he has yet to have any qualities I see as redeeming or interesting, and his psyche isn't as bizarre and confusing as fake Geto so I don't want to put him in an observation chamber and study him. I need some information about him. I have no attachment. I think Hidden Inventory made me like Gojo so if we get anything about Sukuna's past I'll feel some way about him.

Xue yang: well well well.
Su she: thank you for volunteering, by the way.
Mo xuanyu: Huaisang wasn't available.
Xichen: *tied to a chair* Team dimple, you literally kidnapped me.
Su she: kidnapping is an inaccurate word, Lan lips.
Mo xuanyu: we borrowed you.
Xue yang: without your consent.
Xichen: that's kidnapping.
Su she: *rolls eyes*
Xichen: now what do you want to do with me?
Xue yang: just going to test out some talismans on you.
It's 50% harmless.
Mo xuanyu: and look at the bright side,
If something happens, then we'll get Yao gege.
Xichen: and what would I get?!
Su she: you'll be attended to by Huangdi's physicians.
Now be grateful.
Xichen: *sigh* let's get this over with then.
Mo xuanyu: good. Now keep quiet for a while, Lan lips.
The smokey smell is coming from the yin iron.
Xichen: got it.
Xue yang: I don't know what would happen though.
Xichen: how don't you know?!! It's your idiotic experiment!
Xue yang: lipsy, relax. There are endless results.
You could turn into a goat, a child. You might become an old man.
Su she: it can make you handsome.
Mo xuanyu: lol, Shanshan.
Xichen: what if A-Yao finds out about this. He might not be pleased.
Su she: how dare you threaten us.
Xue yang: then I'll tell Jiggy that I can fix it.
Mo xuanyu: we'll save the day and Yao gege will fall for us again!
Su she: Are you ready?
Xichen: I don't have a choice, team dimple.
Team d: *releasing their talismans*
There was a spark and layer of smoke. Then a cute little coughing voice was heard.
Team d: *staring at a 5year Xichen, who was grinning and staring back at them*
Xichen: you three are weird.
Mo xuanyu: *screeches*
Su she: what is that thing?!
Xue yang: he's burning my eyes!
Xichen: Sushi gege, have some respect. I'm five years old.
You would be mean to a 5year old??
My name is Huanhuan.
Su she: my name is Su she.
Xichen: *giggles* Su shiiii.
Su she: ugh.
Mo xuanyu: Huanhuan, you're kinda cute though. What do you want?
Xichen: to meet the emperor!
Mo xuanyu: you're not cute anymore.
Xichen: why can't I meet him?
Mo xuanyu: because he's mine.
Xue yang: Huanhuan. Do you want some candy?
Xichen: would shufu scold me? He forbade me from eating candy before lunch.
Xue yang: then we'll get you some food then. *lifts him up* what do you want to eat?
Pork ribs, a lamb? Fried rice? Radishes?
Xichen: VEGGIES!!!!
Xue yang: veggies?
Xichen: mhm. Vegetable soup!
And can you cut them into stars and flowers?
Mo xuanyu: why dude?
Xichen: because it looks pretty.
Su she: well this child gotta eat. I'll call the maids to get him some food. Kid, you play around until your food arrives.
Xichen: ok, Sushi gege!
*runs around, wreaking havoc.*
Mo xuanyu: Shanshan, shanshan. We have to be kinda discreet about it remember. We can't let Yao gege know about this.
Xichen: let Yao gege know about what? Who's Yao gege? Is Yao gege the emperor? *gasps* it's illegal to call Huangdi by his name. Aren't you afraid to be beheaded or something.
Mo xuanyu: *offended*
Xue yang: his close friends would call him Yao huangdi.
But I prefer to call him Jiggylicious.
Xichen: whaaat? Do you have a crush on the emperor?
Xue yang: what do you know about crushes?! Little guy.
Xichen: many things.
Xue gege why aren't you married yet?
Xue yang: I am married. To xingchen and Jiggy.
Xichen: oooooo. Both of them? You seem very busy.
Xue yang: go play somewhere, Xichen.
Xichen: ok then.
Mo gege, why do you look like a ghost?
Mo xuanyu: what do you mean?
Xichen: with all that white makeup, and blush and red eye shadow.
Mo xuanyu: *crying* Xichen! That's my makeup.
Xichen: really?
Shufu told me that makeup are for girls.
Mo xuanyu: so? Why only them?
Xichen: I don't know.
So this is how you seduce the emperor?
Mo xuanyu: Xichen, I'm a beauty guru. And not only me, but Yao gege and Xuan gege too.
Yao gege learnt from observing  taihou, amd Xuan gege and I are self taught.
Xue yang: family of divas
Xichen: oh.
Speaking of family.
Shufu made me babysit my little brother Wangji, after I proved to him that I'm capable! Wangji is only 2 years old and have fed him milk already!
Mo xuanyu: aww
Su she: Hanguang Jun is too expensive. *rolls eyes*
Xue yang: just like songlan. At least Xiao xingchen is rich to afford milk.
Xichen: is thay your second husband?
Xue yang: *glares*
Xichen: *giggling while running off* Xue gege has two husbands! Xue gege has two husbands.
Su she: he's so chaotic.
Xue yang: I'm not able.
Mo xuanyu: I thought that lans were quiet and well behaved.
Xue yang: Lan lips is built different.
Su she: I would say that he's overly energetic and curious like Jingyi.
But Jingyi is now my Huangdi's son, I won't say anything about him.
Maids: *coming in* team dimple, Xichen's soup.
Su she: thanks.
.
Su she: someone got to feed the gremlin..
Mo xunayu: I haven't fed a child before.
Su she: but you fed Song'er, when he was younger. We all did.
Mo xuanyu: yea but Song'er is a perfect little angel. And Xichen is xichen.
Xue yang: I'm not feeding him! And I gave the kid candy already.
Mo xuanyu: *gasps* team d! What if Xichen seduces us with his cuteness. He's always trying to get back at us.
Xue yang: I know right.
Su she: we have created a monster.
Xue yang: lipsy can't seduce me.
Mo xunayu: look at him conspiring against team dimple.
Xichen: *colouring*
Team dimple: *shivering*
Xichen: team dimple gege,
Are you done? At the end of the day one of you gotta feed me, before the soup falls over.
Look, I'm going to look for Huangdi gege. Because you don't know how to take care of a child.
*runs off*
Su she: hey, be careful!
Mo xuanyu: why are you going to look for my Yao gege! He's mine!
Xue yang: let him go. He's giving me gray hair. And I'm too young to have wrinkles..
~
Xichen: *runs, then bumps into this person*
Excuse me, gege. *looks up*
Yao: are you ok?
Xichen: yea, I'm alright. At least it's not shufu and his thunder knees.
Yao: *bends and caresses the child's face* you look very adorable. And you're dressed up just like Xichen.
Xichen: because I am Xichen. Hey how do you know my name?! Did dimple gege tell you?
Yao: what? *laughing* oh my. Child. You're the sweetest thing.
Xichen: are you the emperor?
Yao: mhm. I am.
Xichen: YAY!! my life's pursuits are completed!
*kisses dimple*
Let go gorgeous. We have some catching up to do.
Yao: little Xichen, what's up with you?! And where do you want to go?
Xichen: I just want to take a walk with Huangdi gege! Team dimple wasn't doing a good job in taking care of me.
Huangdi gege, let's go spend some time.
Yao; did you say team dimple? What did they do?
Xichen: they turned me into a 5 year old.
Yao: (*sigh* team dimple.) *lifts him up*
Xichen: yaaayyy!! Huangdi gege is so pretty!! Huangdi gege has smooth skin! Can i touch your dimple?! Can I touch your lashes? Omg!
Yao; of course you can, little Huanhuan.
Xichen: Huangdi gege, Huangdi gege!
Yao: Xiying. Get some snacks for little Huan.  Maybe some grapes and sweet fruits.
Xiying: yes Huangdi.
Yao: do you want pink mochi?
Yao: yea! MOCHI!!!
Xichen: Huangdi gege, dimple gege got me soup, but they were fighting about who would feed me? Am I thar cute?
Yao: *squishes cheeks* you're really cute!!! That's why they're fighting over you.
But don't tell them ok. They'll deny it.
Xichen: ok Huangdi gege.
Yao: *kisses him on his cheeks*
Xichen: you smell so nice! And you have the softest kisses!!
Yao: hmm. Let's go look for team dimple.
~
Afterwards.
Mo xuanyu: *crying*
Xue yang: what happened to you you?
Mo xuanyu: Lan lips ate my makeup.
Xue yang: so.
Mo xuanyu: Xue yang!!! That's my limited edition, Japanese Vegan, gluten free, organic, non gmo makeup set. Which are made from rare flower dyes and cherry blossoms.  They weren't animal tested either, hence they're 100% good for the environment.
And he ate it!
Xue yang: ask Jiggy to buy more for you.
He imports all your makeup from  Dongying.
Su she: come on, let's don't squander Huangdi's money.
Xue yang: and why did Xichen eat your makeup?
Su she: because he wants to see the world burn.
Xue yang: I agree.
Mo xuanyu: we got to turn him back before he destroys us.
Xichen: dimple gege!!!!
Team dimple: *startled*
Yao: hello team d.
Would you care to tell me how did this happen.
Su she: uh....Huangdi......we....
Xue yang: *hugs* Jiggy Jiggy Jiggy.
Xichen: stop being suspicious.
Xue yang: kid!
Ehem.
Jiggy, well. We were experimenting.
Mo xuanyu: and lan lips turned into a child.
Xichen: Huangdi gege *points* Team dimple is the culprit.
Yao: *glares at them*
Su she: we're very sorry, Huangdi. Please turn him back.
Yao: ah, it's alright. And soon I'll turn him back.
Xichen: wow! You can do that?!
Yao: I'm the hulijing emperor. Of course I can.
Xichen: you're super cool!
Mo xuanyu: *sniffles* Xichen, we kept your soup here.
If you still want it.
Or do you want another makeup pallete?
Xichen: do you have blueberry flavored lipgloss??
Mo xuanyu: yes. And they're not for you.
I got that from Poland!
Yao: come. Let me feed you some soup.
Team d, you could have fed him.
Su she: we tried, Huangdi. But he ran off.
Yao: ah, that's OK. Children tend to be very hyperactive. They won't stay in one place.
Anyways, all you need to have is a little patience.
Su she: ok Huangdi.
Xichen: be patient with me, team dimple. I'm very tiny.
I like to colour, make a mess, play with rabbits and eat makeup. Makeup tastes like candy.
Mo xuanyu: I'm offended.
Yao: Huanhuan, you shouldn't eat makeup, ok?
*strokes hair* yes they're made from flowers, fruits and herbs. But it may hurt your tummy. Remember, they're fermented.
Xichen: *pouting* ok, Huangdi gege.
Xue yang: do you hear that, kid!
Xichen: I only listen to Huangdi gege!!!!!
Yao: come on, have some soup. *feeds*
Xichen: mmmmm..
Yao: good Huan. Have some more.
Xichen: *burps*
Team dimple: *jealous*
Mo xuanyu: he took him away from us.
Su she: *grumbles* Xichen.
Xue yang: ugh.
Xichen: *smile*
Yao: *wiping Xichen's mouth with his floof*
Xichen: your fur is so soft
Yao: aw, thank you Huan.
I used to wipe Song'er's mouth with it as well.
Su she: Huangdi is so good with children though.
Xue yang: yea.
Well he babysat Song'er and Jinling, throughout their childhood.
Yao: yep.
Mo xuanyu: team d. That isn't a child. That's Lan lips!
Xichen: Done! Huangdi gege, can we go look at butterflies?!
Yao: certainly. Let's go.
Xichen: yay!!!
I'll catch a butterfly for you and Song gege! And auntie Meng too.
Yao: how cute. And I have asked my staff to prepare sweets and fruits for you.
They'll be delivered shortly.
Xichen: you're the best!
~~
Later in the night, A-Yao turned Xichen back to his adult self. Then next morning, he woke up in Huan hall~ surrounded by staff.
Lan gui fei, are you alright?
Have some herbal tea.
Xichen: thank you.
Yea, I feel ok.
More afraid of team dimple, but I'm ok.
Xichen: where's his majesty?
Xiying: Huangdi is here!
Yao: *enters with team dimple*
*rushes to his side* Huan. *caresses face* how are you feeling?
Xichen: I feel great, A-Yao. Since you're here next to me.
Yao: aw, Huanhuan.
Xichen: *affectionately touches A-Yao's cheeks*
A-Yao, I think I had some sort of fever dream. I don't know. I can't remember.
Su she: well don't recall.
Xue yang: lipsy, you drank too much last night.
Mo xuanyu: we didn't do anything, Xichdn.
Xichen: you were in the dream too, team dimple.
I....I think that this actually happened.
Su she: go back to sleep.
Xichen: you three turnt me into a 5year old! First you kidnapped me and used me as a guinea pig.
Mo xuanyu: *gasps* how dare you accuse team dimple.
Ok fine, we did it.
Xue yang: who else would we do it on!
Mo xuanyu: if we turned Yao gege into a child, the hulijings will jail us, and Miss Meng won't let anyone hold him other than herself and Sisi.
Yao: anyways I won't allow you to turn me into a child, because I have an empire to run.
Su she: exactly.
And lan lips doesn't do anything, so.
Xichen: I'm the Regant Lan clan leader, Minshan.
Su she: it isn't an empire, isn't it.
Xichen: agh. *clutches stomach* why is my stomach hurting?
Mo xuanyu: maybe you ate too much makeup.
Xichen: what?!
Xue yang: you ate yuyu's makeup, dude.
Xichen: huh. Surprising.
Su she: not at all.
Mo xuanyu: Xichen why?
Is this revenge?
Xichen: guys I'm clueless about this!
Yao: (*sigh* I think I should erase his memory. So their argument could stop)
Xue yang: can you at least apologize.
Xichen: no way. And I was a child. Children do crazy stuff.
Xue yang: well you'll be trialed as a an adult.
Yao: hahaha.
Please, Huan. Apologize to him, before he holds a grudge.
Xichen: sure. If you say so.
Mo xuanyu, I'm sorry I ate your makeup.

Hey! Hope you're doing fine.
I have been looking into character theme songs provided by gege and I have been successful to find translation of most of them but Megumi's theme song 白日夢 by 宇宙人×asa-chang&巡礼×押見修造 english translation is not available anywhere and translating it with google doesn't work properly. Can you please translate it, I really want to know the meaning of that song. Thankyou!
Hi there!
I love that song! I keep listening to it lol and I have translated the lyrics a while back but it's a difficult one so I went back to fix a few things. Under cut is the translation. Apologize if it still has any mistake
Where is the wandering smile going Don't disappear yet cause I'll rescue you There is always an exit somewhere so let's dive as deep as our sin
A muddy magnet that could not be removed for a long time is now broken apart  A solid maze that goes round and around aimlessly is now loosened
マイナス100度の海の中ガラクタの身を放りだす // MAINUS 100 do no umi no naka GARAKUTA no mi wo houridasu  警鐘鳴らす僕の暗闇がうすら笑潜める // keisho narasu boku no kurayami ga usura emi hisomeru ほどけそうな夢心地 // hodokesou na yumegokochi
Throw out the junk in the sea of minus 100 degrees My darkness that ring the bell hides a little laugh A dreamlike feeling seems to unwind
I do not want to know hypocrisy or pretense of evil I don't want to see it so don’t show it to me  There is no you anymore inside me Goodbye and paint it black
A puzzle that can’t be broken and messed is now messed up A circuit that can’t be hit and swayed is now torn up
へばりつく影と残像があざ笑う奈落の底へ // hebaritsuku kage to zan’ou ga azawarau naraku no soko e 飲み込まれていく日常に制御不能の孤独 // nomikomarete yuku nichijou ni seigyou funou no kodoku とぐろをまく夢の跡 // toguro wo maku* yume no ato
To the bottom of the abyss where the clinging shadows and afterimages laugh mockingly In the swallowed daily life, there’s an uncontrollable loneliness The trace of a dream swirling in coil
In the end of the silence let’s burn all the unbearable days to the ground Let's escape the night without meaning or answer
昇天しろよクソムシの海錆びろ歪み狂え破滅の舞踏 // shouten shiro yo KUSO MUSHI no umi sabiro yugami kurue hametsu no butou 消滅しろよクズと散れ朽ち果てることこそが報いだ // shoumetsu shiro yo KUZU to chire kuchihateru koto koso ga mukuida
クソまみれ愛してやろう // KUSO mamire aishiteyarou  夢のおわりはつづく // yume no owari wa tsudzuku
ホントのおわりは何処にある // HONTO no owari wa doko ni aru
Ascend! Sea of damned worms in rusted dance of distortion, madness, and ruin Just disappear! Scatter with trash, and decay away in rewards  and I'll love (you) even if (we) drown in shit The end of dream continues Where is the real end
*) toguro wo maku has two meanings; the literal one that I used in the lyrics here or metaphorically: "to persist"
