Yousef Moner (@/you2.ef_) sent me a message on Insta and we've been messaging for a couple of days now. I believe this is a legit fundraiser based on what I've seen so far on his socials. He has a brother with another fundraiser (@/mohamed_moner1994 on insta).

Yousef is trying to evacuate with his sister and parents. I asked him where he is currently staying and he told me that they are in a small tent in Rafah at the moment. His gfm has only 3 donations amounting to £65 at the time I am making this post (04/21 here in the PH), while Mohamed is only at £1,150.

by that point, his gift has long since disappeared and his rollerama days are past him, but he still goes by foxtrot on the air as a nickname. no one else at the station knows abt their past, but they let it slip that folks used to call them foxtrot as a kid. everyone started using it for him bc they thought it sounded cool, so jasper just kinda. re-adopted the moniker. it's nice, getting to associate their old rollerama name with something less stressful.

most baffling type of advertisement are the ones where the people hawking the product to random people are like? acknowledged as being pushy and annoying and weirdly smug and arrogant?? like the in-universe people are annoyed by the guy shilling at them??? what's the benefit???? just because you're self-aware about how irritating your ads are, that doesn't make me wanna buy whatever shit your selling. you're not being quirky or relatable, you're being insufferable.

earlier i Finally sat down and watched the ybc musical, and while i wasn't sure what to expect when i heard the show was only 45 minutes long, it's a super interesting version of the narrative. it's more of a retelling than an adaptation, and i wasn't sure if i was vibing with it at first, but it didn't take me long to warm up to it. the choreo was top notch- especially for a production on such a small stage, and the cast were all great. also got quite a few laughs out of me, shout-outs to that gag in the beginning with joe trying to quietly zip up his guitar case without disturbing patrick, and pete and patrick's banter in heaven ("patrick, patrick?" "i know, i know" "no, patrick, where the fuck ARE WE?" and "okay, but who the fuck are you?" "pete, i think that's god" "oh, fuuuuck..." in particular really got me). i'll prolly have more in-depth thoughts whenever i get around to doing a rewatch, but for now i'll just say it was a super neat twist on ybc's narrative and a really fun watch!
