finally re-reading stormbringer, first post of a long list (30 photos limit go die) we stan the flags

I read stormbringer this summer, and it was something (it destroyed me and made Chuuya became my favourite character of all bsd- more than anyone else (like sigma, he's my fav in the decay of angels arc), chuuya solos everyone and you know it shut up)

so, like I did with fifteen I feel the urge to share everything cause yeah we all need to suffer more

1. We Stan The Flags

This always makes me laugh, cause Chuuya's like "yeah, it's probably the shadiest and most dangerous role I could have as a non-executive, what's so important ab it? It's cool guys I'm not better than you all" (imposter syndrome sir)

I love Pianoman. I just- I love the Flags, and I will always fantasize ab a world where they're still alive. and them bullying chuuya is my favourite trope alr.

and i just know that in a no powers au chuuya would have been the kind of teenager to befriends people older than him like ten years age gap, cause people his age just weren't for him (in an healthy way guys)

try to not think ab chuuya's inability to accept gifts and love, and just some of the most powerful men in the mafia being excited ab a silly guy (silly chuuya who's stronger than half of them(gotta write chuuya and iceman first meeting))

the... the fruitiness of this sentence is menacing so I'm gonna- just yk

the au where Chuuya takes Lippman place ad the mafia's contact with the light is so beautiful and sad. and that fic where he takes chuuya on set I'm crying stop it

canon chuuya is so mean. Like not mean, just harsh. a lot of people only sees him as someone who gets mad at Dazai and is a peace of cake with everyone else- like no? he send to hell every person he talks to and goes on with "wanna know the power of gravity" every two seconds. he's just chuuya, gotta accept him as our little mass murder with anger issues that needs to be controlled cause the Mafia boss is afraid he's gonna die if he doesn't <333

and this is so beautiful in a way. he always talks ab killing dazai and dazai doesn't help with that, only giving him more reasons to do so, and same with the flag. anger issues maybe, but is he really angry with dazai and the others? we see him really mad, and it is not a pretty thing to watch- and they all know what mad chuuya really looks like and just know when he's yes angry but not really. everyone is ready to fight, and are relieved when things dont escalate (they love chuuya so much stop please)

they comfort him in a way that is heartwarming. they don't offer him useless words or things like "don't worry you have a past and you're human", they don't beat around the bush. Pianoman's like "hey, we know you don't know if you're human, and I'm gonna be super harsh ab it cause we're in the mafia and all of that but listen kid, here we are ab to solve your existential crisis"

even Iceman, the cold blooded hitman who almost killed chuuya a couple of times and was ab to try it five minutes before this, is fucking smiling. they're so happy to help him it hurts (just know iceman called him kid at least some times. he's the real big brother and I just know it)

yes, this is the first time chuuya has real friends- not kids he has to look after and protect without receiving gratitude but just a "it's the least you can do" attitude, not whatever-the-fuck-is-going-on with dazai, just friends. they spend time sìtogether, they give eachother gifts. they're kind with eachother in the ways the know how

an chuuya doesn't know what to do, cause he has never had this type of relationship with anyone, the "give-receive" mechanism that every relationship should have. he doesn't know what to do, and I need to hug him

and then the gag we needed and something I need to draw (Pianoman definitely is the tired mom. Iceman is the dad cause yeah who other. Chuuya and Albatross the sons, Doc the gay emo cousin (what do you mean you wish to be carried by Adam sir) and Lippman the sassy aunt. just see it)

he kind of is sir (he's fucking sixteen just kill me)

something I love ab him is the fact that he's emotionally constipated but like one of the less serious one. he knows that he can be easy to read since he's very open ab his emotions (even if they understand he could just kill everyone, so), but can be serious in a way a teenager shouldn't be able to. he chooses to be so open with dazai, the flags and the people he cares about. the trust king fr

they all know he's gonna come back (and that he's crying) cause he probably wanted them to, or he would have reacted worse to getting understood so easily

and this is the trope asagiri give us so many times and the best one in the history of tropes. bad scary guys having fun with some other bad scary guys and enjoying their time together like normal people.

:/ man, I'm sorry about that anti tyrion anon and the comment you received on your fic. Yk, I don't care about tyrion that much, but the way some fans love to downplay his victimhood and good traits truly gets me... especially since many of them are also cersei/jaime/tywin stans. And the way some fans obsess over b/w morality when asoiaf is all about conflicted hearts and there's few heros/villains in it is so absurd. I'm seeing people do all of this with hotd too and it's driving me mad.

oh, that is so incredibly kind! 🥺 thank you so much, anon ❤️ i'm trying to do my part to make fandom a friendly space, so i don't usually take it personally when people hate my favorite character. but when you realize that tyrion receives virulent hate from... literally every corner of the fandom (jonerys stans hate him - that comment was in a tyrion/jon/dany fic, jonsas hate him, jaime/cersei and house lannister stans hate him)... you start to wonder. maybe there's something wrong here? @.@ like maybe he is just insufferable or maybe it's something else. i confess that i find all of this very... meta? it's like we are repeating in the fandom the treatment he receives in-universe. it would be amusing if it weren't terribly tragic xD i think that counts as praise for grrm writing.

but i'm grateful that my experience with the fandom lately has been much more like this one we're having, and the antis and haters are a really really small part of it. they're just... too loud.

one of the things i'm LOVING about hotd is that they're making it clear from GO that there are no good side or bad side. it was easier, i think, to make the starks the heroes? and while we are more sympathetic to rhaenyra's cause for the obvious reasons, every character is so layered and they're making a very good case against this black-and-white reasoning in media and fiction. (particularly with alicent.) i think i've curated my tumblr experience well, because in my timeline very few people are making the series about picking the green side or the black side and they're really just enjoying the drama, lol i don't know if this disposition will last when the dance begins, though. i hope it does.

the only character who is divisive and disruptive enough to prompt completely opposite reactions up until now, at least in my timeline, is daemon. *rolling eyes lovingly* he is.... a love or hate kind of character, i think? also very weird replica of canon.

but again: fandom is supposed to be fun, a place to share and not to create rifts. and people like you make it so!! i just love bonding over stories so much, so thank you for that and for your supportive words again :')

Okay! Back. Sorry it took so long, I had some stuff to do, and I also had to rewatch some of the Carlos scenes lol.

Anyway! Quick last little thoughts before the actual review, consider that if Carlos becomes a detective we may not get to see Police™ Carlos anymore, bc no outfit 😔😔 Nah jk lol, mostly, it just hit me and I was like aH that would be funky xdd. But seriously YES please Detective!Carlos :)))))))). As I saw in a post I will reblog later, manifestinggggg.

Also, again I'd just like to bring up how awesome Grace is 😭😭😭. Like look at that girl. She was angry and hurt and she acknowledged that maybe it wasn't super rational but it was what she was feeling (which she's always been good at but still manages to improve :)) ) and then she dove right into it and invited the woman over for dinner 😭😭😭. I love her, she's an icon.

REVIEW

Okay! So. I very much enjoyed this episode. It almost felt sorta odd having a plot actually wrap up in an episode xDD. Like, the main plot, I guess (Owen's is more on going, and I'm assuming we'll get more with Grace and Judd on that subject). But, there weren't really any big cliffhangers, is my point - stuff wrapped up, at least partly. Yk when like professional dough-ers (idek, like bread making people or whatever xDD what am I doing lol, also people who make it not it making people lol xDD) chop dough up with their little metal thing and it still sorta looks together but you can tear out and it like has a stopping point and is there both as a whole and individually? Well that last bit of the sentence makes more sense than the entire metaphor (what can I say? Pretty sure I need to write out my whole process here lol) but yeah like that.

LOL.

XDD Anyways, yeah.

I loved Grace and Judd's storyline, if more for the feelings than the plot itself. I thought the plot itself was fine, certainly interesting, but I feel like there's other things they could've done :/. Nonetheless, the emotions were ALL THERE (Grace mopping in that kitchen scene 😭😭😭 and afterwards I mean lol like the whole thing xdd), and of course, the acting was, as always, phenomenal. Also, Judd and his glasses 👍👍. Get it, boy (lol xD).

Now, Owen!

Ehhhnnnhhhh, y'all know I feel about Owen. But I actually didn't mind him and his storyline too much the episode! Wish he didn't have to be the savior once again, but if it's the producer's will it's the producer's will, lol. Anyway, I thought it wasn't a horrible plot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. And at least it was very funny, lol xDD. But, I'm sure he'll get a love interest that sticks eventually, and he'll have to either shape up or we'll dislike her too <3 <3.

Anyway lol, I think you know what's coming next xDD ;).

TARLOS

Most specifically, Carlos <3 <3 <3

Look buddie (buddie 😳)/bud then, you got full, texted out, hearts. Wild 😍😍. Lol xDD. Anyway,Carlos was a g e n i u s this episode and I love him so hard for it <3 <3 <3. We do really stan so hard for it lol xDD <3. But, seriously, he was taking on the clues, the case, the circumstance, the research, whatever. Idk what this sentence is/was lol but whatever xDD. That Tarlos scene was ADORABLE and I'm just glad Carlos is moving up in the world 😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️. Not that it's required, but since I'm pretty sure he wants it, he deserves it :'))). Also maybe get a discussion about it with TK 👀? Or at least after the fact, if (when hopefully!!! 😁😁😁😁) he does, kinds like how TK did with him when he was talking about his problems with how he interacted with Nancy. Idk, just some kinda parallel to that would be cool 🥰🥰🥰. But, if it does, I don't think it'll happen till later in the season (naturally, but fairly late, or at least a while from now even if it's in the making for earlier episodes than that), possibly the last few episodes or the finale. And, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't believe we'll have a mid-season finale since we didn't start in fall - so, therefore, it's not a "winter" finale. It would just be a middle break for fun finale xDD. Anyway, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, but it was all cute 🥰🥰🥰. ALSO, of course, THE "FATHER-IN-LAW", EVEN WITH THE "MORE OR LESS" 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍❤️😍🥰😍🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍🥰❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰😭😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. I just- I love them, especially him, okay?? 😭😭😭. Well I actually love them both equally but yk him right now I'm talking about because he said it and we saw more of him this episode (in general, and than TK) 🥰🥰🥰. Also, just him saying "my boyfriend thinks I'm a control freak" (he is, unfortunately, but it's okay baby, lol, we all have our flaws), I- aGH, I love them :)))) :'))))) 😭😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰😁😁. Idk, I just like them (and any other couple) acknowledging what they are, especially to other people 🥰🥰🥰. Or just mentioning each other, even. So iconic, and loving ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️, I love them so much :))).

And as usual, I am in love with the 126 <3 <3 <3. Well, it's more like I am love them, but yk :)))) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Anyway, Mateo was hilarious (and heartfelt, as he's so good at being - both of them, I mean, if not always basically at once or one right after the other, but probably usually lol), and he could really clearly see down to the route of Cap's problem. Nice :)) 😁👍. I mean, a lot of them could, but I feel like Mateo just gets people really nicely :)). Anyway, Marjan was cute and adorable and funny and great and amazing as usual 🥰🥰🥰🥰 (❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️), and Paul, yes :). Him <3 <3 <3. And him getting Judd out! Emotional :'(( and iconic :')). You get him out of there, he's your family. And, natural, Judd being iconic. Love how honest he was with Grace, especially there at the beginning <3. "I have no secrets from my wife" dang right you don't. Heck yeah <3 <3 <3. You have no secrets from her <3 <3 <3 (or whatever he said exactly sorry I don't remember right now xdd). And, again, yes, those glasses xD. But yeah, love them, and, of course, their honesty <3 <3 <3 <3. Also, Wyatt's sweet :)). A baby - my child now. Love you sir, son <3 <3 <3 <3 <3.

Lol, anyways, yeah!

Overall- I loved this episode, even though it had some bits I wasn't a huge fan of, I thought it was a really great concept with some amazing Carlos content, and teases for the future :))) 🥰🥰. Everyone was great in this episode, or at least no one (looking at you Owen) was bad, so that's good for me :)) 😌😌😌😌 ^'^. So yeah! I absolutely loved the episode :). Glad to be picking back up into the normal swing of things - the ice storm was great, as were it's episodes, and their cliffhangers and continuations onto/through each other, but I'm happy to be back to a little bit of a semblance of normal :)). I thought it was a great episode :D.

So, yeah! Amazing, I loved it :)).

i'm back with my bs. this is for my bestie @lady-ofmagic-andstars. basically, all of my dumb thoughts while i watched 'darkest hour pt 2', 04.02 of merlin. in case you weren't aware.. ✨spoilers✨

right off the bat i'm sad

ok when i first watched this i was really confused. i mean, you see others when they interact with the dorocha have that perpetual frost on their face right? all of them, every single one. so imagine my surprise when merlin has no frost on his face, and he's miserable yea- but he's not dead??

like tbh, watching this again, ik why but when i first watched this, i was SO confused.

him being willing to abandon the mission to get merlin back to camelot to be treated 😔🤪😎🤤🤩 lots of emotions

like yea, we KNOW that they care about each other. but arthur is the prince and merlin's a servant so arthur can't have friends, but they're friends, and they care, and it makes me happy

ok it's sad and everything that merlin's basically dying but is it bad of me that i chuckle at merlin SLUMPED over on his horse?? probably.

but i mean, merlin is already raising himself up so he can sit more comfortably on the horse. ik that doesn't mean that he's in the clear yet, but he's doing a LOT better than the other people who ran into the dorocha. idk where i'm going with this

to quote the destiny and chicken podcast (who i love btw, if you want an awesome merlin podcast, check them out), they stay on arthur's face for SO long after merlin and lancelot leave.

i feel EVERYTHING that arthur is feeling in this moment. he's so pretty
