AITA for breaking up with my long-term girlfriend over shrek?

i(almost 22F) broke up with my girlfriend(23F) because she is weirdly possessive about shrek. to be clear, she is a super-fan while i have maybe watched one movie? the “problem” according to her is that i keep making shrek references and jokes. context: i love saying im bishrekshual and pretending to be in love with shrek. she says im lying to people about being a shrek fan but i don’t think it’s that serious? shrek is so mainstream how else would i know all the memes without even watching it??

once we were with our friends at a mall and there was a display of shrek, fiona and donkey. my friends immediately made me go take pictures pretending to cry over shrek “cheating” on me with fiona and we were all laughing but my partner was weirdly silent. i wrote it off as her being tired but a whole MONTH later, she brought it up while drunk and started CRYING. to this day im not sure if she was jealous of me or shrek😭😭

but the straw that broke the camel’s back was related to dnp lmaoo. i saw a lot of “_ for dan and phil” tshirts and thought of making one that said “bishrekshuals for dan and phil” in the shrek font. when she found out about this, she FLIPPED. she got angrier because i couldn’t even fight about it without laughing at how ridiculous this was😭 anyways i broke up with her soon after because that is NOT the energy i want in my life and also im scared of how she would react when she finds out i make spongebob jokes all the time without ever watching an episode :P my friends think that we are both idiots but i should have just stopped for her sake so idk aita?

Ingredients: bone carving using some tools, broken bones, vivysection <3, i talk about organs, whumper is a lil intimate but still in an unsexy way

Castys wished he wasn’t so used to looking at the inside of his chest cavity.

Kuro had sliced him open and peeled the sides back before just cutting them off entirely, leaving his ribcage very exposed. She hadn’t strapped his forehead to the table this time, so at least he didn’t really have to look. The sight didn’t exactly bother him that much, but he’d just rather not at the moment. Instead, he watched Kuro come over, and today’s weapon of choice was a hammer and chisel. Delightful.

“Are we carving marble in class today, Professor?”

“Close! It’s something else that’s white. Got any other guesses?” She climbed on top of the table, straddling his waist. 

Castys cocked his head, thinking. “Hmm…ice?” 

Kuro laughed, stroking one of his ribs. “I think you know the answer. I just thought it’d be fun to try it out.” Castys just sighed as she readied her tools, the chisel resting against bone. The hammer came down, but Castys didn’t hear whatever sound it made since his body decided he needed to let out a little yell, because that was a lot more painful than he was expecting. He’d sort of hoped he wouldn’t be able to feel it at all, but alas, there was only suffering.

Kuro tapped the hammer steadily, and all Castys could do was clench his teeth and squirm under the tight straps as the pain grew worse and worse, each chip broken off a fresh spark of agony. From time to time, Kuro would stop and consider her work, giving Castys a little break where there was no new pain, which was all he could get at the moment. It was annoying how he wasn’t dying from blood loss or something thanks to the wonders of cauterization, and he’d gotten too used to The Horrors for shock to set in and take him. Unless it didn’t work that way; he wasn’t exactly sure.

One thing he was sure of is that having someone you very much dislike basically laying on top of you while you’re strapped down and vivisected was the worst. If it was just pain, fine, whatever, he’d felt many a pain, but the added intimacy bullshit just really drove this over the top, what with Kuro stroking his organs or petting his face with her tentacles as she worked with her hands. 

Finally satisfied, she sat up fully, staring down at whatever she’d carved into his ribs. “There we go. I know these probably won’t still be here after you die, but it was still fun. Do you want to see?”

“Maybe later. I’m not in an art appreciation mood.” Why did he bother, he wasn’t sure, because a moment later Kuro had yanked his head up by the hair, practically choking him on the strap over his neck, forcing him to look down and his fucked up ribs. She’d carved some letters into one of them, probably her name from what he could tell looking at it upside-down, and then some…blob looking thing. “What the fuck is that supposed to be?” he sputtered after she let go of his hair, his head thunking back on the table.

“It’s my na-”

“No, the fucki-”

“Oh. That’s a bird!” Kuro’s eyes narrowed, one of the few expressions he could actually see. “I’m not sure why I carved one, I just…felt like it?” 

“Riveting. Could you slit my throat or something now?”

“Aw, come on, Castys.” She fully laid down on top of him, crossing her arms on top of his chest. “Where’s the fun in that?” Before he could say anything, one of her tentacles slammed the hammer into one of his ribs, most definitely breaking it. All he could do was bite back screams as she did it again, breaking the rib off completely. “This’ll be quick, too, watch.” She grabbed the jagged piece of bone and he swore he could feel her smiling as she drove it into the spongy flesh of his lungs, puncturing them. 

And, hey, she was right, it was quick.

not to sound like some guy who takes kids shows way too seriously but was anyone else really upset by those cartoon episodes that were like “omg actually everyone hates the protagonist bc theyre annoying and their lives would be better without them and thats the punchline” growing up.

omg ok if you can believe it this ask made me go seek out the first ever creepypasta i listened to. i found out about creepypasta because i was really into those mlp horror ask blogs like lil miss rarity as a kid, like 10/11. so when i wanted to get into creepypastas i literally looked up "creepypasta, playlist" on youtube and this was the first video in it and it stuck with me

my favorite creepypasta ever for some reason is 1999 but alan resnik copywrite struck literally EVERYTHING related to it because it referenced alantutorials. and i mean everything. when i was 13 i drew fanart for it and he randomly got that taken down. because of that i have one-sided beef with him.

favorite NOT copywrite struck creepypasta is candle cove, so you can tell there are similarities there. it's been my favorite for a long time even before i got into everymanHybrid so you can imagine my surprise when it got referenced in EMH.

so like yeah very much a childhood special interest that has never left. i don't actively listen to them anymore because well... i often don't have the energy to sit through the more recent longform stories (there was a time i tried again but was quickly turned off because the guy was basically sponsored to read professional published horror short stories and im gonna be honest with you, i dont want my creepypastas to be professionally published, it loses the charm. those arent creepypastas at that point those are just short stories). also creepypasta youtubers keep turning out to be total creeps. but they still hold a special place in my heart. I WAS KINDA A SLENDER MANSION KID BUT ABSOLUTELY NOT TO THE EXTENT OF A LOT OF PEOPLE.

Something that's been bothering me lately is the amount of vitriolic posts that I see directed at fans of something that the OP and the people who reblog the post dislike. It's perfectly fine to say, "I didn't enjoy the Barbie movie," or "I don't think that OFMD lives up to the hype." But many folks seem to be misplacing their aversion to the show and pushing it onto the fans.

I'll see posts deriding people for enjoying Margot Robbie's performance in an hour-long commercial for a doll and mocking them for thinking that she deserves an Oscar nomination for it. But they could have easily said something like, "Personally, I didn't think that Robbie's performance was all that great, and the premise of the Barbie movie rubs me the wrong way." Why did they have to make it an attack against people they don't even know? They're making generalizations about why a person would enjoy the movie and offending people en masse by turning an opinion into an insult.

I don't go searching for these mean-spirited posts, but they find their way onto my dash regardless. (The amount of OFMD posts that get mixed into the Death Note tag makes me alternately laugh and cry.) And I wish that there were some way to block posts based on a specific tone, but there's no shared tagging system amongst them, and I don't want to avoid an entire show just because a few people are being rude about it. I want to be in a little Internet bubble full of people who are kind and respectful about the shows they don't like. There's so much to be anxious and indignant about already in the world. Why do some people want to waste their energy going after fans of TV shows and popular movies?

Random thought is random, but if Mr. Krabs acts as a father figure to SpongeBob (he outright states that SpongeBob is like a son to him multiple times), and Squidward acts as a younger brother figure to Mr. Krabs (not outright stated, but at least heavily implied with the fact that he's been Mr. Krabs's go-to babysitter for Pearl since she was an infant and the fact she canonically calls him "Uncle Squiddy"), then would that make Squidward and SpongeBob like uncle and nephew?🤔

That's truly what it feels like to me. #I mean if the Krusty Krab is like many other restaurants that tries to be a “family”... #... then this would make sense. That's just me though.
