The wedding was with about 100 people there (Maybe slightly over, who's really counting)

The whole grid came. + Sebastian came but didn't RSVP until the last possible minute.

Christian, Geri, and most of the engineers from RBR ended up coming (ex. GP, Calum, Jonathan, and Hannah), those who weren't able to make it sent Max their congratulations

Lewis ended up sitting on Y/N’s side of the aisle instead of Max’s.

Y/N was nervous to walk down the aisle but talking to Sophie helped calm her down

“Sophie,” Y/N said to her as they walked hand in hand before the music started playing for her to walk down the aisle. “I just want to thank you. Thank you for raising Max the way that you did, and being there for him when Nico came into his life.”

You could see that Sophie was starting to tear up a bit. “My son loves you, and my grandson too. I couldn’t have asked for a better wife to my son even if I had a hand in choosing her myself.”

Victoria ends up being Y/N's Maid of Honor

Max did end up crying when Y/N came walking down the aisle

Her dress was custom-made, and she wore ivory instead of the traditional white

Daniel tried to joke that he lost the rings when the officiant asked for them. Max ended up just laughing before Daniel slipped them into his hand.

There is a section of Y/N's wedding vows to Nico

Nico ended up crying into the skirt of her dress not wanting to let go of her during the rest of the ceremony

Max ends up spending the first few moments of his vows stumbling over his words before reaching for Y/N's hand, needing to feel her to ground him back to just her

Lando offers to DJ the wedding reception as his wedding present, and he would have if Martin hadn't already agreed to do it months before

Daniel made the best best man speech known to man with just the right amount of jokes. His speech ended with,

"But I digress, Y/N, you make Max so happy and have become an integral part of his family. I hope Max, that you know how lucky you are to have her in your life." Daniel lifted his champagne glass. "To many more years for the two of you, to Mr. and Mrs. Verstappen."

Victoria kept her Maid of Honor speech rather short but welcomed you into the family and joked with Max that if he screwed up she got to keep you in the divorce

Max laughed before giving Y/N a questionable look as if to say, Something I don't know about? Before breaking out into a smile knowing that Victoria is joking

Max quickly interjected, "I don't plan on letting that happen." before lifting her hand and lightly kissing the back of it

Everyone drank from their glasses and Nico and Victoria's boys got glasses of sparkling apple cider

Nico ends up cutting in during Max and Y/N's first dance

On the cake topper, the groom is in a race suit instead of a tux

Y/N ends up shoving Max's face into the wedding cake after it was cut

Halfway through the evening, Daniel ended up stealing the photographer's camera and started taking candid photos of everyone

Max and Y/N leave the day after the wedding, Nico staying with Sophie until both you and Max get back from you're honeymoon

“It’s so sweet.” She raises an eyebrow, taking her eyes off Logan and Oscar who are joking around with an Elvis impersonator, to look at Lily. “What’s so sweet?” “Your guys' friendship rings, I mean really. I’ve never seen three friends so close and the friendship rings are a sweet touch.” “Oh, thank you.” She still wasn’t entirely sure how to interact with anyone else on the grid, always sticking to Oscar and Logan.

Especially considering the fact that none of them knew the truth. She wasn’t just Logan and Oscar’s childhood friend or bestfriend that made the duo a trio, but rather their girlfriend. And that the friendship rings the three wore weren’t friendship rings but rather faux wedding rings.

Logan had offered to let Oscar and her go public together, but she didn’t want to go public with just Oscar. Which then made Oscar then offer for Logan and her to go public, and it ended up with her telling both of them that no one was going public. Poly relationships weren’t a thing with their lifestyle and Logan and Oscar were both too new to this to be making the boat rock with something considered unconventional.

And then somehow the conversation had ended up with her crying as she realized she’d never be able to marry them, because she’d only be able to marry one of them and she didn’t want that, had never wanted that. For the three of them, it had never just been a matter of wanting one or the other, it had always been wanting both.

It was because of that conversation and the realization that they all wanted to marry each other that now they had what everyone believed to be friendship rings.

Her name being called makes her look back at her boyfriends and she laughs seeing the flush on their cheeks and their large grins, the three shots they had finally seemed to hit them.

“What?” She calls, not moving away from Lily, Lando, Alex, Charles, and Max. “Elvis says he’ll marry us!” Logan tells her, smiling as he waves her over. She looks at the Elvis impersonator between the two and has to stifle a laugh at how excited he looks as well. “I’m not marrying you, Logan!” She calls back as the whole group laughs at her denial and the way his face drops before perking back up. “But it’s me and Oscar. You’ll get to marry the both of us!” He reasons and she can feel herself giving in. Because she knows it’s not real, not legal in any way, but it doesn’t stop her from wanting it. So, with a sigh she leaves the group of drivers as both Oscar and Logan cheer.

The two immediately wrap themselves around her and she doesn’t notice the way everyone had followed her, to watch as the three got friendship married.

She doesn’t really register the weird vows from Elvis or the laughs from the drivers and Lily as they watch, she just looks at her boyfriends. At the excited glint in their eyes, how they both keep squeezing her hand.

“I now pronounce you, husband, husband, and wife!” He declares, before adding. “And thank you, thank you very much.” She laughs at the look on Oscar’s face at the impersonator’s words, but is kissed before she can say anything. It’s quick, just a little longer than a peck and then Logan is darting forward to do the same to Oscar and she follows in Logan’s footsteps, pressing a quick kiss to Oscar’s lip as well.

The three stare at each other after as the other drivers whoop and holler, joking about how none of them would have thought it’d be Logan and Oscar getting hitched in Vegas. They had known this would be difficult, never getting to kiss each other in public, or being careful about not hugging or holding hands for too long, but now after kissing in public for the first time, the same thought is going through all of their heads: again.

After clinching his third career win at the Vegas GP, Carlos wakes up to a wedding band on his finger and his teammate, Charles, wearing the exact match.

“No! I will set the music,” Carlos argued, keeping Charles at arm's length so he could scroll through Spotify, looking for the perfect song for their first dance as newlyweds. They were in his suite’s living room, just the two of them. Lando and Pierre already back in their own hotel rooms, shit-faced drunk.

“I think I will choose a better music, please.” Charles plead.

“Ah, so you think you have better taste than me.”

“I definitely have better taste than you. I play the piano.”

“And my theme song is Smooth Operator. The best song ever.”

Charles laughed. “That doesn’t make any sense.”

Carlos laughed along. “Yours does not make sense either.”

“Baby, come on, please. I want to pick our song.”

Carlos considered it for a moment. “Okay, but no sad music. I know you.”

“I’ll choose something nice, I promise.”

“And you won’t argue with me when I teach you how to dance,” Carlos added.

Charles nose scrunched ever so slightly. “You make it seem like I’m so bad at dancing.”

“You are. I can already feel you stepping on my toes. So, do you agree or no?”

“Okay. I won't argue.”

Carlos handed Charles the phone, a pleasant ache settling in Carlos’ chest as he watched Charles excitedly pick their song. After a moment of scrolling, the soft strums of guitar filled the room. Lover of Mine by John Vincent III, the screen showed.

“Okay, Professor Sainz, show me how to dance.” Charles stood stiff, hands on his sides like a soldier.

“Professor Sainz-Leclerc,” Carlos corrected, emphasising on Leclerc.

Charles giggled. “Oh, I’m sorry, Professor Sainz-Leclerc.”

“Corretto! Such a good student. Now, let’s see how you do. So, first, you go like this,” he took one of Charles’ hands and placed it on his shoulder, resting his own on Charles' hips. “Then, give me your other hand.” Their hands aligned, palms open. Their fingers interlaced with each other, fitting together as seamlessly like two pieces of a puzzle. Charles' hands were cold, just like the gold of his ring, glinting under the light. Carlos remembered the words etched underneath: Finchè no ci separi. ‘Till death do us part.

Carlos continued, “And then—watch my feet—you move like, ta, ta, ta, ta and ta, ta, ta, ta. Simple.” He moved his feet just like how Mama taught her.

“Ohhh, Easy! I got this,” Charles said, mimicking Carlos’ movement, focusing on his feet. It went well the first few steps before he managed to step on Carlos' toe. Charles’ head shot up, wide eyes, lips pursed and dimples out—guilty as a deer caught in the headlights. He burst into a fit of giggles—music to Carlos’ ears—his head instinctively falling on Carlos’ shoulder, making him stumble a little.

It would've made Carlos’ heart flutter if he wasn't trying to stomach the pain. “You got this, you say,” he chided.

“I’m sorry. I swear, I won’t do it again,” he promised, looking back at his feet to make another attempt.

“Uhuh, you say, but then you’ll step on my— Agh!” Charles stepped on his toes again, as predicted. “Now you’re just doing it on purpose.”

“No, I promise, I’m not. I thought I got this.” He was still giggling. “Show me again, please. I want to get it right.”

“You have to move together with me, just follow my steps.”

"Okay. Together," Charles repeated, shuffling his feet, trying to get it right. "So, we either move together or nothing.”

“That’s right. Together or nothing.”

Carlos showed him again. And again. And again. Until Charles stopped stepping on his toes, until he finally found the rhythm, until they were actually dancing, swaying slowly around the room. Just the two of them in each other's arms, hands intertwined, together in their own world.

So I just finished season 5!

So MUCH happened I swear going back to look at the episodes synopsis’ for this post I was like… wait that was in this season too?!? I stayed up ALL night TWICE watching this season because I just couldn’t turn it off! It’s crazy that people didn’t like this season (like vehemently didn’t like it at least on Reddit… BUT they say they don’t like s6 because its Buck centric and he “needs to be more of a background character” sooooo clearly I won’t read too into their nonsense)

ANYWAY this season is possibly one of my favorites! From the hackers the gps wrecks and tower scare, the zoo breakout (THE ZOO BREAKOUT OMG… THE ALPACAAAAAAAS! And Buck being scared LOL) to Jeffrey escaping and then Athena’s whole story line following! I was terrified for her and for Harry and ACK!!!!

Maddie’s PPD and leaving arc was so heartbreaking and frustrating at the same time! And I felt so bad for Chim (and Buck) and baby Jee!

OMG the homecoming parade crash and the mixup I was so Heartbroken for them! :(

Claudette… :/ hated her and her ending… but mostly her

Of course Lucifer (spn) shows up as an extremely bad guy but he wants to play dad of the year (ok the guy here at least is thinking of his kid more than himself… but still PARALLELS!)

MICHAEL AND DAVID! I hated to see them go! And that montage had me all teary eyed during one of my all nighters!

Toni’s little love story <3 and the girls from the oil spill! <3<3

Eddie’s panic attacks and leaving the 118 was so sad! But I get it… I also know he will be back because I came from season 7 *shrugs* so it wasn’t too sad, yanno?

I love that everyone still came together for Christmas tho, i was like poor Bobby and Athena </3

The kiss might be the one thing I truly disliked from the season because it doesn’t really do anything beyond being annoying.

There is a reason 'the crazy fans' narrative was thrown around and reiterated by His brother Scott on a podcast that was strangely very eager to post on all their socials, repeatedly. Articles were written too. 👀

There is also a reason DM put out a narrative about his family not standing/liking her. Trying to keep some out of the controversy, maybe?

There is a reason why there was a Bermuda vacation where some of his friends were suspiciously present but not in the same place. Why they posted on a platform that they never used before. There is a reason why Justin dad made that Facebook post about the wedding and marriage , there is a reason Justin posted that invite and then deleted.

Notice how everyone of these people would keep the post up long enough for the fandom to pick it up, make some noice and then delete or go private. But claim harassment,repeatedly.

There is a reason those photos of him golfing with his buddies the 'same time period' the 'girls and gays' were on a 'hot girl summer' vacation,were released .The friend who posted, did what exactly after they were out there.

There is a reason she cropped out her hand. It created a buzz about a possible engagement ring and therefore being a bachelorette vacation with the girls including some of 'his' friends.

There is also a reason that on Saturday, there was a lot of commotion here. Alot of drama from one side especially. A PRIVATE AND EXCLUSIVE EVENT DOES NOT HAVE THIS MUCH ATTENTION esp where there were supposed NDAs and confiscated phones.

EVERYTHING HAS BEEN PLANNED FOR A WHILE.

We can argue about the validity of the wedding, whether it happened or not, whether they are married in real or it's just a PR stunt. The fact is the news is already out there that HIS FANS ARE CRAZY. HIS BROTHER WHOM THEY ARE VERY CLOSE SAID SO.No matter what evidence there is that something is fishy, it doesn't matter. The GP has already bought into it. People keep asking why the many articles; because the public NEEDS to buy into the wedding having happened. Who is being talked about the most, Alba! Why? Chris is already famous. So they never needed to sell her to his fans but to the GP.

The 'AVENGERS FRIENDS' that were 'present' are the ones who DO NOT have any current MARVEL WORK coming up; THOR, IRONMAN and HAWKEYE!!! We know how tightly Marvel runs it's ship. NO controversy.That Should have raised some eyebrows that Mackie and Seb were each in different places doing things that they could have easily cancelled for their buddies special day(???) Yet a few months ago they could make cameos in his film?Then the ADDITION OF SCARLET to the mix AFTER people started wondering why his closes film buddy of over 20yrs wasn't present.

Now, IF ITS REAL, Chris showed himself to be the MAN HE REALLY IS, A HYPOCRITE. But the public doesn't care. They are already saying she needs security and what not. Turning her into a victim of his 'toxic fandom's. Funny enough, the ones rejoicing that 'they were right' were at the forefront of stalking, analysis of photos and all the crazy fan behaviour.

BUT GUESS WHO ARE THE TOXIC CRAZY FANS NOW: THE ONES WHO ACTUALLY HOPED HE WAS BETTER THAN ASSOCIATING WITH RACIST.

Part One: Diamonds - An undercover op makes Nik ask a question.

You’ve forgotten how good Sabatino is at playing a role. Tonight he's the rich, doting husband. Possessive over his woman, willing to give her whatever she desires. His thumb chases across your lower back, tracing over your bare skin and it sends a flush of heat chasing through your body. It’s an intimate gesture, one that makes it very clear to everyone else in the room exactly who you belong to.

You lose him in the raid, one minute he’s beside you, securing the suspect and the next both him and the painting have vanished. You wish you could have expected something different. It’s not the first time he’s pulled something like this. You guess the painting will go back into circulation; GPS tagged so they can track the next round of terrorist funding.  

When you return to the office you find the matching wedding band that he was wearing, sitting upon your desk.

You know you won’t be seeing him tonight, that he needs the space to lick his wounds.

As you study the platinum ring between your fingers you wonder if this is the choice that Sam was talking about.

“There comes a time when you just can’t bend any further, there’s no more flexibility. You and Sabatino are going to get to that point and when you do one of you will have to make a decision. It’ll be make or break.”

You’re there right now, you can feel it in your heart. Marriage is the one thing that you can’t compromise on and now he knows it.

Sabatino goes back to his hotel room that night, the one the CIA hire out for him whenever he’s in LA. He hasn’t told them that the two of you are living together, they don’t even know that he’s in a relationship because if they did, you’d be seen as leverage.

He lies down on the bed, still clad in his suit and he thinks about that moment, the one when he slipped the ring onto your finger. He didn’t realise how much he wanted it until then, how much it meant to him.

If he does this, if he choses a future with you then he has to be done with the CIA and that comes with stipulations, ones that he has to fulfil if he wants them to cut him loose.

“I think your job allows you to have one foot out the door.” You had told him.

He understands that’s what it must look like to you, that he’d not entirely invested, that he’s always ready to leave but the truth is he’s scared. He knows his value as an operative, that The Agency won’t want to release him. He’s terrified of what they might do if they find out that you’re the reason he’s putting in his papers.

His thumb plays over the empty space on his ring finger, the one where up until a few hours ago a platinum wedding band resided. He’d liked the feel of it, of belonging to you, of other people knowing that. You were right when you said there’s a security in being married.

The problem is the stability. He wants to be around more, to be involved in your life but his job prevents that. You can go months at a time without seeing each other, barely communicating if he’s in deep cover.

He wants to be there in your day to day, to hold your hand on the way to brunch, to get up at crazy o’clock to go running, to cuddle up on the couch scaring yourselves silly on the latest Netflix documentary. He wants a life with you, a whole one, not the one he’s been living for the past four years.

There’s only one person who knows what he’s going through, who can shed some light on his next steps and that’s Michelle Hanna. He resolves to visit her the next morning.

Maybe between the two of them they can figure something out.

It's the astronomy anon! Hc that whenever anyone in the Shen-Shang family (because I didn't know until my last ask that I love "SQH is Shen Jiu's little brother, Shen Jiu is viciously overprotective and SQH is oblivious" but I'll die on that hill) gets lost/in trouble/both (Prince Shen Yuan cannot for the life of him stop tripping over wife plots and his parents are giving serious consideration to keeping him on house arrest in the palace for his safety, and probably would have already were it not for Shang Qinghua's great efforts to convince them this is a bad idea (hence SQH being Shen Yuan's favorite uncle)) all they have to do is follow the Shizun Star. Somehow doing so always gets them back home safely. Shen Jiu is GOING to die mad about how often they use this feature. Later. Right now he's trying to badger SQH into assassinating the little beast for falling in love with his son (when the fuck did a-Yuan even meet him????? AND WHY WASN'T HE INFORMED???). His husband keeps trying to convince him to "give their son's suitor a chance" but Shen Jiu is holding out against the betrayals coming from all sides.

Luo Binghe the demon emperor's response is to kidnap Ming Fan and Ning Yingying (which isn't hard because all he has to say is 'I found shizun' and they're clinging to him and demanding to be taken to him at once) and drop them in Shen Jiu's lap. Shen Yuan gains two new friends, one new boyfriend the queen very reluctantly approves of, and a front row seat to Liu Qingge showing up out of NOWHERE because he came back from his monster hunt and Shen Jiu had been married off to foreign royalty and had apparently taken Shang Qinghua with him???? And he wanted to know what the hell was going on. And now he's not leaving because Shang Qinghua got him addicted to coffee.

This is all chaotic enough, what with interdimensional courtships and shit, BEFORE the Old Palace Master shows up to try and fuck up the LBH/SY wedding planning by trying to put SJ on trial even though it'll start a war. He has no success at all (ie LBH stabs him about it, hands Huan Hua to Gongyi Xiao and Zhuzhi-lang who got married last summer, and that's that), and everything would be fine except for three things.

One: Shen Jiu has abruptly been reintroduced to his past and also the Peak Lords.

Two: Mobei-jun took the opportunity to kidnap Shang Qinghua, who was finally not in a desert and therefore accessible. He views this as stealing his human back. Shang Qinghua is having lots of emotions and all of them are fear. Shen Jiu is PISSED.

Three: Shen Jiu's husband somehow found out about YQY's whole thing with Xuan Su and is planning to consult his brother in law on ways to kidnap the man for his own good. He doesn't even particularly care if he gets a threesome out of this or just another sibling for his queen, but he's kind of started a collection of "husband's former coworkers who need therapy" and Liu Qingge keeps sulking about none of the relocated cultivators sparring with him so they might as well grab the Sect Leader while they're in town once they resolve this whole "ice king trying to steal my brother in law" thing.

End result: they all make it back home, Mobei-jun somehow gets Shen Jiu's permission to try courting Qinghua properly by human standards, Yue Qingyuan and Liu Qingge get some therapy, Ning Yingying and Ming Fan take them shopping for new clothes, and Shen Jiu's court is full of eye candy.

Hm, does Luo Binghe also know that there's a star that will pretty much always show where Shen Yuan is (because Shen Yuan is following the shizun star to get back home)? Imagine all the terrible words Shen Jiu will spat out when he learns that Luo Binghe also knows of that trick. So much for the Shizun star being the GPS/Shen Yuan tracker God.

Ming Fan and Ning Yingying most certainly know where Shen Qingqiu is - everyone knows where the Arabian country is located. Nah, the real issue is traveling there. Getting past the border safely, making it into the imperial court, and not getting caught during the months-long journey...

So when Luo Binghe shows up with some teleportation sword saying "get in loser, we're going to visit shizun", they immediately sign up for the field trip without doing more than rub two braincells together.

Damn, you're implying that Liu Qingge has been gone for many years - decades even - on some monster hunt if he's missed the whole hubbub of Shen Jiu getting whisked away for marriage, Luo Binghe becoming demon emperor, and Shen Yuan being born and growing old enough to get romanced. What did Liu Qingge even do - get such in some pocket dimension??? Got stuck in some "running away with the ball" plot with a demon looking to court him??? Tried faking his death so that his grandma would stop trying to set him up on blind dates???

Man, imagine the hell that Mobei Jun, an ice demon, is going through if he dares venture into the dessert. No wonder Shag Qinghua loves hanging out with his bro! Safe from any surprise visits from the Ice King - and thus this really is the perfect vacation spot where he can't be informed of this and that new disaster sparking up!

But also, imagine if Mobei Jun doesn't dare travel in desert landscape because the real reason he overheats is the fact that Shang Qinghua is just flaunting around in Such SHeer RoBes?!?!?! ALL THAT SKIN BEING SHOWN?!

Let's be real: Shen Jiu's hubby is a pragmatist. He's no saint who's going to have zero braincells if Shen Jiu flutters his eyelashes at him. (Plus Shen Jiu wouldn't like him so much if he were such a person.) He's more than happy to kidnap Yue Qingyuan, a prominent sect leader, for the political advantages it gives him in negotiating with China's imperial court (and the cultivation world). Many beneficial trade deals are negotiated in return for his "hostage" AKA a Yue Qingyuan who's happily sunbathing and being fed dates next to Empress Shen Qingqiu.

Fics with an Explicit Rating

'The Things You Do' by loveleclerc: This fic has an archive warning for Graphic Depictions of Violence. It is a completed, 17 chapter, 72k word fic. The author includes this warning:

The fic premise is an AU, the summary telling that Charles is an escort who steals a wallet from Max -- the Penoze leader of Amsterdam and it goes from there.

'Feel The Heat Going Overdrive' by Anonymous: This is a completed fic with 12k words. The premise is described in the summary as, "In which Charles keeps asking questions about the RB18 in the midst of their sexual escapades and Max is literally one DNF away from blowing a fuse." It's a royalty AU and the author summarized the story as "Charles Leclerc ascends the throne consumed by grief. Max Emilian Verstappen pops up into his life unexpectedly, carrying with him words of peace". Tags include enemies to loves, slow burn, heavy angst, blood and injury, angst with a happy ending.

'Sweet Redemption' by just_an_inchident: This is a 7.7k fic that the author summarizes as "this is how Monaco 2022 could have ended." Tags for the fic include pining, drunken confessions, and idiots in love.

'60 seconds' by braakingpoint: This fic is not completed with 5/6 chapters posted, it's currently at 22.5k words and it is an AU. The author summarizes it as, "The grid, along with the whole world experience 60-second visions showing them their future in 200 days. Charles doesn't dare share what he sees." 'Escape as far as possible by Zzz998: This is a completed fic with 14 chapters and 33k words. This is a future fic with the premise being that Daniel Riccardo wants to win the motorsport triple crown and he needs to win the 24 hours of Le Mans so he recruits Charles and Max. Tags include enemies to lovers, retirement, break up, fluff and smut, mutual pining, and hurt/comfort.

'I do' by LaurawritingF1: This fic is completed with 3 chapters and 3.3k words. It appears to be smut during/after a Lestappen wedding.

'The Prize Dinner' by Tetralea -- this is a 2.2k word fic and the premise is based of this: "Whoever wins the Monaco GP, wins a dinner with members of the royal family. And this year, only Prince Charles can attend."

'it all reminds me of you' by grandprix: This is a completed 3k fic. It's a friends with benefits fic with tags that include secret relationship, caught and non-linear narrative.

'towards oblivion' by playclock: This is a 6.8k fic. It is a sex pollen fic that does have a dubious consent tag for the typical consent issues that come with fics like this.

'Burning down the house' by Madeleineee: This is a 4.3k fic where the author describes the fic as "Charles is a trophy husband, woefully unappreciated and unloved. Max is his nanny." The tags include alternate universe and adultery.

'to treat me like you do' by mondaycore: this is a 2.5k fic that the author warns has "unhealthy coping mechanisms, general violence, and nastiness." This fic is tagged with rough sex, unhealthy coping mechanisms, hate sex, and angst.

'your prison is walking through this world all alone' by multi21: This is a completed, two part fic with 12k words. It's a college AU and the author summarized it as "There are three things you need to know about Charles Leclerc: he's an artist, he's sad, and he's in love with Max Verstappen." 'I stay because you are the beginning of the dream I want to remember' by AzziNow: this fic is not completed. There are 19 chapters posted so far and 59.6k words. This is a soulmate AU that has soulmate identifying marks. Tags include angst with a happy ending, bit of fluff and some humor.

Fics With a Mature Rating

'I Know Places' by Tazza1993-- This fic is a completed 3 chapter, 58.8k words. It is a Notting Hill AU where Max owns a cat cafe and is content with his quiet life until F1's Charles Leclerc comes across his cafe. The two tags are Romance and Fluff and Angst.

'small pleasures' by altissimozucca -- A 3k fic that is tagged as Netlfix and Chill and but they don't use Netflix and neither Charles nor Max has any Chill.

'Tear In My Heart' by Wellthisdidntgotoplan: This is a series with 3 parts and 6k words. I do want to note that the first two have a T rating while the last one has a M rating so I'm just sticking it in the M category. This series is all future fics where Max and Charles are married but separated and they have two kids and it chronicles that.

'heartstroke' by grandprix: this fic is not completed. Three chapters and 16k words have been posted. The premise appears to be Charles wakes up with amnesia and learns that he is married to Max Verstappen. Tags include amnesia, angst with a happy ending, and secret marriage.

'Kiss with a fist' by mahixa: A fic with 3k words, it seems there is some boxing in it and Charles has a Feelings realization.

'every other sunday' by Anney: this is a completed 9 chapter fic that has about 34.5k words. In this fic, Max is forced out of the closet and Charles is there for him. Additional tags include Emotional hurt/comfort, falling in love and Rivals to Friends to Lovers.

'Just an Incident' by WeaglesAndBrobean: This is completed, 15 chapters with 17.4k words. The tags include slow burn, childhood trauma, enemies to friends to lovers, friends with benefits, and internalized homophobia.

Fics with a T Rating

'It Only Takes A Shunt' by Rearwingblues: This fic has 1700 words and the summary describes it as, "Max ends up in the wall and Charles has a realization." Tags include love confessions, fluff and mild angst in the beginning.

'this is our place, we make the rules' by PrincessElectra: This is actually a series of three stories, completed with 46k total words. It seems to follow Max/Charles relationship. Some of the tags are Enemies to Lovers, Falling in Love and Angst with a Happy Ending.

'so i guess I'll be sticking with you' by artifice: This is a 3k word flower shop AU and the author summarizes it as, "Charles gets Max a plant for Christmas." Tags include fluff and humor, getting together, and implied sexual content.

'take your time, this is not the end' by imnotheretodie: This is a 6.1k fic that is described by the author as, "5 kisses that were strong enough to keep them apart vs the 1 that makes them stay forever." Tags include mutual pining, Charles is a drama queen and idiots in love.

'we're fallin' like the stars, we're fallin' in love' by monzas: this is a 8.7k fic where "Lando sets Max up on disastrous blind dates that end up with Max falling for the bartender who was the real set up all along."

Fics with a G Rating:

'you can take the oxygen straight out of my own chest' by altissimozucca: this is a completed, four chapter fic with 21k words. It's a future fic set after Max and Charles retire and they set off on a road trip together.

'carpe diem' by altissimozucca: this is a 3.1k word fic that is described as a 4 +1 but it's four alternate universes plus 1 real one.

'soulmates (or, max has a love-hate relationship with coldplay)' by altissimozucca: this is a completed 1.3k word fic. It's a soulmate AU where you can hear whatever you soulmate is listening to in your head or can hear the melody of the song they're singing/humming. It's also a 4+1 so it's "four times Max had to listen to music against his will and one time his soulmate had to, too."

'stars' by xiaoluclair: a 2.5k fic that is described as "two conversations, ten years apart".

Not Rated Fics:

'Unlearn' by wantinghopingwriting: A completed fic that has 14 chapters and 46k words. It's described in the summary as a "fake friendship to fake lovers to something else". Tags for the fic include slow burn, fake/pretend relationship, enemies to friends to lovers and angst with a happy ending.

'Little Do You Know by socialite -- this is a 15 chapter, 40k word fic. {listen, I don't try to inject my personal opinion into the lists but this is one of my favorite fics that I've read, ever.} Anyways, Charles finds himself in a situation where he hears his friends' unfiltered opinions about him and honestly all hell breaks loose. Tags include jealousy, communication failure, emotional hurt/comfort, angst, and enemies to lovers.

'just like a folk song, our love will be passed on' by multi21: this is a series with two completed words in it and has 38.7k words. the first fic is charles' pov and the second is max's pov and the author cautions that neither of them are reliable narrators. Tags include Angst with a happy ending, Depression, Mental Health Issues, Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms, Self-Esteem Issues and Homophobic Language.

'home (is wherever I'm with you) by actparci: this fic is not completed. 3/4 of the chapters are posted with 11.9k words so far. The premise is described as "Charles leaves Ferrari, tries to win a championship, and learns some things about belonging. All the while, Max is there." Tags include pining, angsty Charles and slow burn.

'out of my imagination' by plotracer: There is an archive warning for graphic depictions of violence. This is a completed two-part fic with 23.4k words. It is a soulmate AU and the premise is described by the author as, "In a world ruled by the memories of your soulmate, Max tries to find the one who is his source of light." Tags include Jos Verstappen's A+ Parenting, Hurt/Comfort, and slow burn.

"If the whole world was watching, I'd still dance with you." by 4amdecisions. This is a 4.5k word fic that has tags of getting together, panic attacks and friends to lovers.

My fav thing about all this is that after 2 years and 2 weddings, and 1024884 articles about dating and marriage, Chris finally admitted he’s married and STILL did not mention his wife by name nor did he compliment her in any way.

But all this means is there’s still no official sound bite. I get that many ppl will say he didn’t need to mention her name and yes it’s true everyone knew who he was speaking about…but do they?

Tabloids do not have him on quote at any point saying AB’s name. Even on the scare videos he miraculously never said her name once. He was on print saying he had a gf and still no name. He went on stage and actually admitted to being married and mentioned a lady being from PT but still no name.

There are thousands/millions of women in PT or from PT. One could easily say he married any one of them. (This is clearly sarcasm because everyone knows he’s referring to AB) but the tabloids to this day can still only assume he married AB because she is most recently connected to him and is from PT. Occam’s razor and so that’s what they’ll continue to write and circulate. They can absolutely do that and the GP and most fans will believe it and atp won’t question him or it. Unless you’re the small 1 percent who sees the inconsistencies that almost feel on purpose. 😉

But without wedding photos released to the public or a people exclusive with pics and a official statement, they can only use the same separate stock photos of them side by side or one of the 20 from his vday video which only has one pic of them actually kissing. Coincidentally, the only photo ppl have of them being together after the wedding is a blurry back of the head photo of them with no money shot. The Central Park debut pap pics have them in masks and then one video of her with no mask looking pissed while he’s covered head to toe with mask. WDW she’s in a crop top showing her tattoo while he’s covered head to toe in hat and mask. LOL. The only photos of him and her together were in 24 hour IG stories that disappeared so they can’t be traced back to a direct live and existing link.

Friends and family follow but nobody publicly posts a pic of her with him or vice versa. Both sides. Both sides don’t even publicly show up in the same pics together. Justin the trolling king of clout still can’t post actual photos with both groups in Bermuda so he posts 97474 ones of his sisters wedding instead.

So after all this, it’s still a strategy for plausible deniability which is so hilarious because you’d think he’d actually have the moment to get on stage and talk about her and how amazing she is but he used 5 out of 30 seconds to say his wife from PT and used the other 25 seconds to mention the two weddings and reflecting on being married - before going on a 10 min love sesh about his dog. Even when he mentioned his ex gf Jenny slate he had a paragraph of compliments for her. They did a whole podcast together before they started dating. They have cute candids of them together caught by fans and friends/family posted them together in private photos. There were old interviews where he mentioned he loved hanging out with his gf (Jessica biel) because she was an awesome person. They were publicly cute and attended red carpets and even did movies together.

But his wife who he has had as a gf for awhile is big on judging ppl’s energies when she meets them and is from PT.

TMZ got some homework to do or they simply don’t care because in a court of law, none of this evidence can be used to prove they are married. It’s all speculation still because Occam’s razor and likes and follows on IG are not equate to “hard proof.” An anonymous source saying their names together are married but no official confirmation still isn’t 100% proof. It’s just heavy and intentional speculation designed to make you just accept and believe that it’s true and not question but the fine print is there.

I think they intend to keep it this way until they have fulfilled their purpose.

(By no means am I saying they didn’t have a wedding. It would just be stupid atp to do all that and not. But I’ve also known someone who had a lavish wedding but didn’t actually file the marriage paperwork. So despite being married to the public, they were never legally married. And when they got “divorced”, they just split and had no ties to each other. True story.)

daniel x sunshine timeline: this is just a oneshot that explores the journey of their relationship and the most important moments that led to their relationship, including daniel almost retiring and sunshine being the one to help him find his love for racing before they even start dating

max and trouble's five stages: it's a oneshot that is split into the five stages of their relationship developing including their meeting, the pining, the acceptance, the confessing and the falling

lando x angel origin: it's the intro one shot into the angelverse that explores how lando found out about her camgirl job and how it led to them confessing their feelings (set before the angst of her job being revealed to the general public)

carlos x butterfly 5+1: it's a really bittersweet comfort fic on the five times over the relationship where carlos stood up for butterfly and the one time she really realises her own self-worth and stands up for herself

charles x blitz fwb: just a smut oneshot that starts their story with the friends with benefits dynamic because they are stupid and in denial

sugar daddy charles: this is the plot i spoke about ages ago where he needs someone to make his image look good and she needs money to pay for uni so they meet through a website. but of course they fall in love!

oscar x sainz!reader: this follows the story of how carlos' younger sister ends up in an enemies with benefits dynamic with the one driver that irritates her brother to no end. oscar always thinks she's a brat too but they come to realise how wrong they both are about each other

lando x piastri!reader: this is also the lando x black cat fic where he meets oscar's sister at the silverstone gp and becomes obsessed even if she doesn't seem so taken. based off 'english love affair' by 5sos

lestappen soulmate au: this is the fic where lestappen find out they are soulmates when they are young in karting but j*s verstappen and internalised homophobia keeps them apart. but there is a glitch and they have a third soulmate who is the reader, a famous singer they meet during a grand prix. it's how she helps bridge the gap formed between the two boys over the years and is quite max focused, showing his journey to accept the love his dad convinced him he didn't deserve from both his partners

lestappen x vettel!reader: this follows charles and reader dealing with the heartbreak when their partner (pierre) publicly cheats on them. max ends up being the friend that grounds them and slowly they all fall in love, but of course they act stupid about it and sebastian is a very tired father

charles heather fic: this is the fic based off 'heather' by conan gray. it follows charles pining after his teammate who is always falling in love with men who don't deserve her. and he doesn't understand how the whole world loves him except the one girl he actually wants

I think it’s time we address the argument that constantly gets brought up when it comes to Daniel - that he is not an adaptable driver

It’s a point that mclaren (esp Zak) constantly exploited last year to justify his exit and one that apparently came about based on his two years at Renault

I don’t agree with the whole narrative that he didn’t perform well in his first year at renault because he wasn’t used to the car when he actually outscored his teammate who had been with the team before him. What if he was already getting the maximum out of a bad car and his 2020 performance was not only down to him driving the wheels off the car but also Renault actually working with him to give him the car he needs. Which truly, kudos to Cyril and his team. They knew there was a reason they spent 25mil to get a race winner and they knew they better listen to him when it came to feedback.

For whatever reason mclaren decided to get a driver of Daniel’s calibre and refused to listen to what he had to say about the car. They knew Daniel had a particular braking style which would not gel well with their car but they signed him irrespectively. Yeah Daniel did badly in mclaren. It’s a fact. The evidence is in the data, but I feel that it’s incorrect to say he didn’t try to adapt. He’s not some magical unicorn that he could just drive the car off the bat. It’s ignoring that he won a race in 2021 and he was much closer and even outscored Lando in the second half of the season. Because he worked to adapt to the car even if that meant forgetting his natural style of driving that made him fast and picking up weird habits

The thing about 2022 for me is that he didn’t get a chance to adapt to the car. The first 2 races were a dud because the car was nowhere and he basically got ordered to not overtake Lando in the most strange way at his own home gp. Then they go to imola and he has that first lap incident in the rain with Carlos and then the problems in qualifying in Miami which truly ends his weekend. Then it was downhill from there.

If you ask me to pinpoint the exact time when McLaren started their campaign against Daniel, for me it’s somewhere between imola and Miami cause I remember clearly Daniel going on the daily show and McLaren not posting about it when they somehow found the time to post Lando’s selfie from his brother’s wedding? Then of course Monaco comes around and the whole exit clause comments form Zak.

Meanwhile Daniel was digging deeper and deeper trying to find what’s not working and getting further away from finding a solution while the rest of them sat back without doing anything waiting for him to trigger his exit clause all while Zak brown was playing Russian roulette with his seat.

So yeah he never stood a fighting chance to make 2022 work

ok so i feel like it's about time i've talked about the weird, convoluted headcanon lore i've made for DJMM. everything i leave in my head for too long gets distorted and unrecognizable from.the source

ok so i think a lot of DJMM enjoyers have seen this tweet and while it's fake, because there's like 5 sentences alluding to DJMM in the entire game i've accepted it as fact and I went so overboard with the detail that it says home language. Not like, "original language" or nothing like that, home language

So, alongside the fact that DJMM has a couple things implying that he wasn't originally from Fazbear Entertainment (why would fazbear entertainment issue a warranty... to themselves?...), and that there also just happens to be a wedding dj company called The Music Man IRL that I found by accident, I kind of just made this whole weird thing that before he was bought by Fazbear Entertainment he was a Wedding DJ in Japan.

Alongside being able to set up practically everything, clean up afterwards, and cater to guests in all sorts of ways, he was also made to be able to just... hit the town and stroll down to his destination instead of being directly shipped to or brought there. Imagine being some little kid watching this giant spider thing stroll down the street.

Hold on to that visual, actually, because that brings me to why he considers Japan his home rather than just his... place of origin.

So his bouncer mode. It actually wasn't experimental but rather a very often-used mode of his since I imagine he's attended many weddings were someone has had to be... forcibly escorted out. But what the problem is with it is that during that mode, he is essentially given no restrictions on what he can do and has just been activating it so he can go against orders.

He's big, but he's travelling on hand, hulking around a big bag of supplies on the way, it may take a while for him to get from headquarters to his destination, maybe even days. But what his creators don't know is that he's been taking detours and entire days off to bond with civilians that have been fascinated by him, originally just children marvelling him, but he grew closer to them and becoming much more like a weird uncle to them, growing a bond with a rural community to the point even their families know of him and see him as a friend, and it's this bond that starts to bring problems.

DJMM starts to demand things that robots don't really get to demand, like days off and privacy, which concerns the company as for why he'd even need that. He starts committing outright fraud to insert legally insert himself into society and starts taking tips or some of the profit to spend for himself. He starts tearing out/ sabotaging GPS systems, or disabling microphones so they can't figure out where he's been going or what he's saying. It gets to the point where he outright threatens employees' lives and keeps some hostage to force them into allowing him to do what he wants.

The arms race between DJMM and his creators comes to a close when his creators decide to sell him off to Fazbear entertainment, sieging him and choking him of his battery life before doing a factory reset and sending him off, finally getting rid of him (also voiding Fazbear's warranty on him if his bouncer mode is ever activated again)

While he was able to secretly save his memories, it's not much use now that he's in a whole new country. He's still figuring out how to reconnect with the kids he practically watched grow up but he's also still getting up to trouble in America. we stan a dude who commits... all of this

His design is, now that i realize it, very much inspired by Moguro from the Laughing Salesman. Also he's got the fun eye liquid swirlies from DJMM's Beta design

The codependency in Johnlock-

I was thinking about this today.

In Many Happy Returns, John says, "I can tell you what to do. You can stop being dead."

He's drinking a lot and he still hasn't moved past the 'please stop being dead' thing since TRF. Everyone else has moved on with their lives but John is still stuck at that point. He's still grieving deeply even after two years.

If Sherlock hadn't returned to London, if he'd actually died, John would've been fixated on that thing for the rest of his life. Sure, he started dating Mary and was going to propose to her in that restaurant but I really don't think he would've been quite invested in that relationship with her

(He's not invested in that relationship with her even in Sherlock's presence but still. You get my point.)

If Sherlock had died, he would've just drunk a lot, with sleepless nights, self blaming, survivor's guilt, etc and his suicidal tendencies would've returned.

He would've married Mary, life would've continued normally (on the surface) and at one point John would've come to about Mary's criminal record. He would've still got to know about that even in that situation because of CAM (or through some other source).

Double heartbreak. John would've been completely alone in this whole world.

He doesn't get along with Harry, he doesn't mention his parents at all- probably they're not in the picture- and he doesn't have any other friends apart from Sherlock. Mike tried to reach out him in ASIP but John's response, in turn, was quite cold.

He wasn't quite keen on continuing his profession as a GP (we'd seen that much in The Blind Banker). He would've gone to his new clinic for some time but he would've done his job in a half-arsed way.

He didn't have any other hobbies either. He'd stopped updated his blog after Sherlock's supposed death.

I believe if Sherlock had died for real with no possibility of coming back, it's quite a high possibility that John would've committed suicide, eventually.

The same thing happens in Series 3. John gets married. Sherlock's drug addiction has relapsed.

This theme is surprisingly carried over to S4 as well even if that season doesn't feel connected to the rest of the show.

John abandons Sherlock after Mary's death. Sherlock is high out of his mind, weeks away from death, he's going crazy in 221 B.

John is at his own place in The Lying Detective, drinking way too much once again, clearly not okay. He's just this 👌🏻 close to dying as well. (He's grieving for Mary but lack of Sherlock's presence is also a contributory factor).

John has pushed Sherlock away himself and he's actively hating on him in this episode but he even in that state he obviously needs Sherlock (he'd never admit it but it's quite clear that he does).

John's desperation was obvious in the beginning of His Last Vow too.

J-Is it Sherlock Holmes you're looking for? Because I haven't seen him in ages.

M- A month.

He's visibly angry and frustrated at literally everyone who's NOT Sherlock. He's dying to meet him even if it's only been a month since his wedding day.

So what I'm trying to say is, as much as I love Johnlock, I can't overlook this unbelievable amount of codependency in their relationship. It's unhealthy but fun to have a close look at.

You try separating them from each other, they'll become physically miserable and they will throw themselves in front of fatal danger which would eventually lead to their death in quite a short period of time.

I used to think that 'I can't live without you' was supposed to be a cliché. Just an exaggeration that people say to their significant others.

Apparently that's not the case with Sherlock and John. It becomes quite literal when these two are concerned.

Conclusion- If you write a Holmes adaptation or a story, you don't ever seperate Holmes and Watson from each other. You do that and you watch them die (for real, this isn't even an exaggeration).

D'you know what's actually frustrating?

It's the fact that the creators of this show already knew about this. They were the ones who wrote their version of Holmes and Watson like that and the above mentioned subplots are taken from their show. They wrote it in that way themselves. The codependency and everything.

And yet they did exactly that. Separate Holmes from his Watson, that is (in TST and TLD).

They broke the rules of their own show and that's why here I am, ranting about the show even in 2023 lol.

The gravel crunched under his feet as Drake stopped in the middle of the extra wide, white marble driveway. He turned to watch the young man jogging to close the distance between them. “Ryder?” Drake guessed correctly. He vaguely remembered him from the wedding.

“Yeah. Sorry about my parents. They can be….less than helpful.”

“What about you?” Drake asked.

“Would she tell you?” He was very sure she would.

Ryder fixed Drake with a level look, “She might. But if I had heard from her, I wouldn’t admit that to just anyone.”

“I’m not just anyone.”

“No, I don’t think you are. You’re him, aren’t you?”

“Him, who?”

“The guy. The one she met the night before the wedding.”

“She told you about that?”

Ryder nodded, “We tell each other pretty much everything.”

“So where is she?”

“I can’t tell you that.”

“Why not?”

“Because I promised her I wouldn’t tell anyone! But…”

“But?”

“I don’t think she meant you! She didn’t expect you to come looking for her. Aren’t you supposed to be in Rivala?”

“Yeah, well, I got reassigned.”

Ryder’s eyebrows shot up, “You’re here on behalf of the king?”

“Yes and no.” Drake replied carefully.

“Could you elaborate on that?”

“I mean….yes, Liam had me reassigned to the royal guard because he needed someone he could trust to do this discreetly and if we’re being honest, likely because he knew I’m the one person she won’t run away from. But none of that is why I’m here.”

“Then why are you here?”

“Because I have to find her, I need to find her! I have to know she’s okay!” Desperation and anguish laced every word.

“What if you find her and she doesn’t want to go back?”

Drake shrugged, “Then we’ll figure that out, together.”

“Yeah, together. I’m not making the same mistake twice. I won’t leave her side again, whether she’s at the palace or….not.”

Drake’s jaw clenched, but his resolve was strong, “I’m aware.”

“You’d do that for her?”

“Did she tell you why that was her childhood nickname?”

“Because she was named after her grandmother and your mother thought it would be confusing to have two Riley’s around, so she started calling her by her middle name, Renee.”

“Okay,” Drake said carefully, “What’s that got to do with where she’s at?”
