Tiffany of France is a stewardess in diplomatic relations by trade! So there's times when smoking is completely impossible. But when she can steal away some moments, she has a Marlboro Red 100 or two!

TIFFANY MIGHT BE THE FIRST MODEL IN SSW HISTORY TO HAVE RESUMED HER HABIT FOR HER DEBUT VIDEO!
"It's the moment [smoking] to disconnect from the day. If I don't smoke, I don't disconnect!"
Tiffany started smoking cigarettes late in her teenage years while living in her native France. Fairly soon upon picking up the habit, she had established herself as a pack-a-day smoker of Marlboro Red 100s! Somewhere between the late-Spring and early-Summer of 2023, Tiffany decided to quit smoking, and she went several months successfully off cigarettes. The nicotine might have worked its way out of her bloodstream, but the idea of smoking, the pleasure from the habit never left Tiffany's essence, never departed her core, never was replaced with a new driving impetus for the day. She back-slid right into the habit again full-throttle. Though she did not articulate it in the video, Tiffany is thankful to be back in the ranks of being a cigarette smoker once more. She's a Marlboro 100s Gal! And it's going to stay that way for a spell . . .
Here is some of Tiffany's conversation with Fran in her solo video debut, shot only a few weeks after returning to smoking from a quit-smoking effort that lasted for a few months, ending by early-December 2023:
"From day to morning, I quit. . . . I wake up and said never again. . . . "And well . . . a few months ago . . . but then look . . . I started craving for smoking," Tiffany said. "And the first one feels so good." "What does it feel like when you smoke?" Fran asked Tiffany. Tiffany said, "Relief, peace. . . . It's the moment to disconnect from the day. If I don't smoke, I don't disconnect." "What do you feel in your body?" Fran asked Tiffany. Tiffany, said, "It's my moment."
This video ⏤ and nor did Tiffany ⏤ qualify for Video of The Month | Hall of Fame division consideration, not because Tiffany is not a Smoking Lovely in her late-20s to mid-30s ⏤ she is ⏤ not because she isn't seductive, cute and pretty with a distinctive look. Tiffany is super attractive and alluring. She is not Hall of Fame timber with only three videos of her out on the Internets and with not even five full months affiliated with the Greater SF World Community scene. She's a "newbie" to The Biz! Her name is not on the tip of the lips yet for many SF aficionados! Not yet at least. Let Tiffany gain some more traction, put on a few more SF miles (kilometers) and she could be a legitimate candidate for elevation into the next few stratospheres of the SF hierarchy. For now, she's just building her persona within SF. We wish her well but with her assets, Tiffany won't need much help to move along and progress! She'll move from VOTM | Honorable Mention division to VOTM | Hall of Fame division. Our Centerpiece video is a staff-produced compilation effort. The first part, more than the opening two-thirds of the video, is from Instagram@ciggietime10, downloaded on May 2, 2024; the last third of the video is the Smoking Sweeties (www.smokingsweeties.com) promotional video for her introductory post, Tiffany: Getting Back into Her Habit, downloaded into our archives/library/vault on December 16, 2023.

Generational Endgame Bill
I started as social smoker to accompany my ex and bought my first own pack of cig when i was an intern. I became regular smoker (some days, heavy) before quitting cold turkey 2 years ago. Whenever i faced mild inconveniences, smoking always been my unhealthy escapism.
Now, whenever I’m stressing about anything, i tremble and get easily agitated, thinking about how only ciggies can make everything ok. Sometimes involuntarily i’ll hold 2 fingers up and pretend im taking a huge drag. It feels mildly miserable but it really dont have to be like this. If i had known this before, i’ll never start smoking.
But i was young so i succumbed to social pressure, and I also regret too, that i ever introduced my friends to smoking.

Street Photography in Bangkok, Exploring Thailand's Best Attractions
Tumblr media
Finally, I was back in Thailand, experiencing Thailand's attractions and taking street photography in Bangkok during my four-day, three-night vacation. Don't be surprised if I say this is my first travel experience in Bangkok. Yes, it was my first flight to Bangkok, and I found this holiday trip truly amazing. I stayed for four days and three nights at the Asia Hotel at Phaya Thai Rd. It was quite a different experience for me compared to the Hua Hin and Phuket trips a few years ago because, in Bangkok, I got to communicate more with the Thai locals there.Sawadee Krap and Kup Khun Krap are the most used words I used during the trip. For the four nights holidays in Bangkok, I found that I rarely stayed in a hotel and most of the time was out sightseeing at popular attractions around the city.https://youtu.be/QrEb_T5tQJsI was thrilled about this vacation, and after three years of the pandemic lockdown, I finally arrived in Thailand. My first visit to Bangkok was pretty hardcore, from touring around the city to taking street photography in various areas. Tommy, my friend, and I were there for holidays over the four days. We made a list of tourist sites and places to see in Bangkok. However, I may have made a mistake during my trip! Keep an eye out for the article.
Camera Gears
It's my first time travelling abroad with my Contax G1 film camera and Fujifilm X-T4. I always wanted a nice camera backpack that could fit two camera bodies, but I could not find one. I packed two rolls of Kodak Vision3 500T film, Fujicolor X-Tra 400, Kodak Gold, and Fomapan 400 and brought along my ND filter which was quite useful when shooting in the harsh sunlight. Before this trip, I looked up information about film labs in Bangkok and planned to develop my film there, but I didn't have time. So I had to get it developed at Kuala Lumpur film labs instead. As for my Fujifilm X-T4, I was shooting some short travel videos during my Bangkok trip. It was pretty huge for me when shooting street with the Fujifilm X-T4, I thought of getting a more smaller digital camera, but I still need it for some other portraits work. Most of the time, I've been shooting with my new Fujifilm video recipes and Nomadic Mood for some vintage vibe.
Staying at four stars Asia Hotel Bangkok
Traveling around the city while staying at Asia Hotel Bangkok is convenient as a BTS train station connects directly to the hotel on the first floor. Just a few minutes walk, and you get to Ratchathewi BTS Station. I booked the Superior room for about RM700+ for three nights which is quite affordable. I found the room quite spacious and the bathroom clean too.I guess I won't get lost in Bangkok if it's planned carefully because different types of public transport to choose from in Bangkok the tuk-tuks, Grab cars, taxis, and the BTS train. While all the rooms are non-smoking, smokers can smoke at the designated smoking area near the hotel lobby entrance. If you stayed at Asia Hotel, it was convenient because there are 7-Elevens just a few minutes away if you wanted some snacks. There are other shops, food vendors, and restaurants nearby.
Day 1 - Street Photography in Bangkok's Chinatown
Tumblr media
Fujifilm X-T4 // February 2023
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fujifilm X-T4 // February 2023 The flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok took roughly 2 hours and 30 minutes. We arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 3 p.m. and headed to the Asia Hotel to check in. I was astonished by the traffic condition there. LOL. During peak hours, the road was congested with vehicles, buses, and tuk-tuks. We rested at the hotel before heading to Chinatown.I liked the nightlife vibe in Chinatown in Bangkok; it was different from Kuala Lumpur. The nightlife is alive! I get some lovely street photos, and the lighting there is speechless. Chinatown is the best place for street photography in Bangkok at night, capturing daily nightlife and people as there are a lot of activities going on.Chinatown in Bangkok is known as the largest Chinatown in the world (I heard it somewhere on one of the travel websites found online); it was busy and packed with tourists and locals. I tried to look for the prevalent fried bugs and insects I saw on Youtube, but I could not find them. No, I'm not interested in eating those bugs and insects; I want to take pictures of them. No luck, though. After dinner, we began our street photography in Bangkok's Chinatown. I was astounded by Chinatown, which was bustling with street food, tourists, automobiles, and tuk-tuks. This is one of my favorite photos from my street photography sessions. Getting a Haircut at Jodd Fairs Night Market, Sound Weird But True
Tumblr media
We get on a tuk-tuk ride to our next destination, from Chinatown to Jodd Fairs night market, which cost us about 500 baht. Following our street photography session, we went to the Jodd Fairs night market, formerly known as the Ratchada Train Night Market. I had been dying to get a haircut in Thailand, and I eventually got one for 300 baht at the night market. It was clean-cut, and I loved it. If you chance to be at the night market and want a haircut, you may find the barbershop a few stalls away from the night market's main entrance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The popular smoothie girl in Bangkok The most popular smoothie juice girl in Bangkok, who went viral on social media, can be seen at Jodd Fairs night market. Tourists from all over the world came to see the smoothie girl make dessert cocktails and fruit juices. If you've seen YouTube, you'll recognize her at the Jodd Fairs night market. My friend was shopping while I was getting a haircut at a barber shop at the night market. Then we relax at a stall serving beers, cocktails, and mocktails while listening to live Cuban music. Relax and unwind. We called it a night and returned to our hotel.
Day 2 - Exploring More Bangkok's Attractions
Probably the second day is one of the busiest days with lots of activities for us as we are exploring some of the popular destinations in the city. Our photo walk and street photography in Bangkok started early in the morning from our hotel to the Erawan Shrine, as we were also hungry and looking for a breakfast place. We visited a few popular tourist attractions, including the Chao Praya high-speed boat ride, checked out the night view at the highest observation deck in the town, and visited a few temples. Street Photography at Hua Lamphong Train Station
Tumblr media
Hua Lamphong Train Station My FJM street photographer's friends, who are from the street photography Malaysia club, recommended that I go to Hua Lamphong Train Station, a railway station in Pathum Wan, for a street photography session since the lighting is excellent in the morning. So Tommy and I decided to make it our next stop on our Day 2 investigation of Bangkok's highlights. We used a Grab vehicle, which cost around 100 baht.If you prefer sightseeing, you may visit the Hua Lamphong Train Station to experience the old-fashioned railway trains. You can travel by train from Hua Lamphong to Hua Hin. I was at Hua Hin train station during a previous Thailand trip, and it is connected. There's hardly much to do here besides taking photos if you're into light and shadow photography. Chao Praya High-Speed Boat Ride
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We chose to visit the famed Wat Arun after our session at the railway station but were unsure how to get there; luckily, a tour information guide approached us and described in detail how to go to the temple. I always wanted to experience riding a long-tailed speed boat in the Chao Praya River, and finally, I did it. Just like I saw in the Thai TV series dating back to the Ayutthaya period, Love Destiny, and The Kinnaree Conspiracy, to mention a few. We took a boat tour ride to the Bangkok Yai Canal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are wooden houses on both sides of the canal and access to a popular places of worship, such as the big buddha statue in Wat Pak Nam Temple, the floating market, and many more. The boat ride along the canal is also great for sightseeing and taking nice photos. On my sightseeing trip, I photographed daily life and old houses along the canal, and the people were welcoming too. While shooting, I kept swapping my film and digital camera to get certain scenes. We returned to our hotel, washed up, and prepared to meet Tommy's friend for dinner. We ate dinner at a restaurant near the King Power MahaNakhon skyscraper building. The next adventure in the city will undoubtedly be rewarding. Amazing Night City View at MahaNakhon Skywalk

Cocaine was directly responsible for my first cigarette 3 years ago. When my dealer stopped supplying I was going through such heavy withdrawal and my bro and coworkers where already heavy smokers and that's how they where handling the shortage, so I got the idea to buy a pack. I still remember nervously walking into the corner store on my way home from working at the ski resort in Colorado and asking for a pack of camels (because it was easiest one to identify) and smoking my first cigarette infront of my apartment in the freezing cold. The smell and flavor was intense. (It doesn't smell or taste like anything anymore.) I was used to doing dabs and taking long hits off the bong without much coughing, so I inhaled the cigarette as if it where a joint and I coughed my guts out so bad I couldn't catch my breath for minutes. From then on it was a cigarette in the morning, once or twice at work, and then 2 or three after that. By the time I moved to Washington I was smoking 10 cigarettes a day, and that continued until a few months ago when I first tried to quit.
I stopped smoking weed about a year and a half ago. I stopped doing cocaine a year ago today. I haven't done any psychedelics in 3 years. But quitting smoking has been so much harder than all of that. It's too accessible and too much of a crutch. If I get stressed I can easily convince myself that I deserve a smoke. The pandemic is a great excuse too, I keep telling myself I'll stop when it's over.
I've 'quit' 5 times since 2021 started and the longest that lasted was 2 weeks. People guit tripping me or threatening me makes me want to keep smoking. Mentions of or pictures of cigs make me want to smoke. Its fucking tough.
Today I downloaded an app that will keep track of how long it's been since I smoked. Feels kinda weird to quit when I still have half a pack left, shit's expensive. But maybe that's for the best. I'll throw them out and that will be incentive to never buy another pack again.
Can't really think of a better way to celebrate a whole uninterrupted year off hard drugs than quitting my final addiction.
Don't comment or reply to this post if u read it, please. I'm just typing this out to get it off my chest after my recent failures at quitting. I'm doing this alone so there's no reason for outside input, especially from ppl who never smoked.
Anyway DONT FUCKING SMOKE CIGARETTES. It's the hardest addiction to break and fucks your body up forever. Even one cig could give you cancer or heart disease. Shit will fuck up your entire life and it's not worth the temporary stress reduction because the stress of knowing you're slowly killing yourself will come to outweigh that a million times over.

even my phone misses your call (by the way) - part 1
jo yeong x koo seo ryeong fanfic
AO3: link
_
It’s only 9:30 and the Prime Minister is already on the verge to implode.
If she has to endure another unnecessarily stupid conversation with the men existed within 10m of her seat, she might truly lose it. So she shuts them up, and walks towards the door. She can hear it vividly in the air, through the look in their eyes, “What a cocky brat, leaving again in the middle of an important meeting, with so many elite people twice her age”. As if she actually cares, as if she has the time to ponder over whatever nasty things they think of her.
She gave up doing that years ago. Koo Seo Ryeong did not crawl her way out of a fish market and become the youngest female Prime Minister of Corea to put up with some 60 year old men’s bullshit. So of course she leaves, whispering death threats to Secretary Kim for not doing his job properly and forcing her to attend another useless meeting that can just be a goddamn report on her table.
Back to the office, she walks straight to her private balcony after taking out a pack of cigarettes she secretly keeps in the room. Seo Ryeong is not a regular smoker, not silly enough to sustain an addictive habit that can damage her impeccable skin. But here she is, stressed out of her mind, holding the lighter so very close she can almost feel the nicotine coming in like waves. Then out of nowhere, she thinks of him.
She thinks of 20 year old Jo Yeong, to be exact. Standing in front of her under the heavy July rain while carefully taking the cigarette out of her soft lips. Jo Yeong with his navy umbrella. Always managed to find her at her worst, always be there next to her without saying anything because words were usually wasted when you talked to Koo Seo Ryeong.
God, he really ruins cigarettes for her. She throws the whole pack into the trash bin along with the one on her lips.
She hates him so much, it almost makes her want to see him just to say that to his face.
But they do not do things like that anymore.
_
When Yeong passed the entrance exam of Corea National University, Seo Ryeong was books deep into her Master degree in Political Science and International Relations. He instantly became popular in the campus for being the King’s closest friend, with rumors about him floating around every lecture that she attended. She studied with Lee Gon for years and never met him or his friends outside, but whenever they talked he always mentioned Yeong’s name and stories about what they did together in the palace.
She listened tentatively to everything he said not because she had a huge crush on him and wanted to be his Queen, as every jealous fangirl in the campus always thought of her, but because she needed to know every deep dark secret of the King of Corea. She knew it would tremendously help her career as a politician in the future. That was the reason why she followed him around like an innocent puppy, the pretty girl with a lovely figure who came from the dirty market and scored the highest grade on the insanely difficult entrance exam. She beat out Gon fair and square, sometimes late at night she even dreamed about taking the throne of his to herself. If people knew about her thoughts, they would laugh at her and spit on her face but frankly, she thought if she wanted it enough, she could be the Queen of Corea. With or without Gon by her side.
When Gon introduced Yeong to her for the first time, she could not read his face at all. She was used to be so good at knowing people after the first meeting, but Yeong stirred her curiosity and she felt strangely intrigued by him. Maybe it was because he did not talk much, he had an incredibly calm expression and most of the times he only looked at Gon. He acted like a well-trained bodyguard around the King, which she found quite hilarious. Gon already had an army walking around him every step, and with Yeong by his side it felt even impossible to her how she could still hang out with them so casually. She and Gon both knew they worked perfectly together as a team. Even when they had zero interest in each other romantically, she earned her place to be by his side and let’s be honest, he would never pass any group project without her insights and intelligence. It took Yeong a while to understand this, he was always careful and silent when she was around. She could feel him trying to crack her facade, as if he was able to see through her 10 year plan of becoming the Prime Minister of Corea.
He did not trust her, and it annoyed her how she cared about that more than she thought.
-
It started out with Seo Ryeong simply wanting to earn Yeong’s approval. She tried to ask him personal questions, which he only gave out vague answers that did not satisfy her at all. They even went together to a few field trips exclusively for the university’s top students, and girls followed him around all day hopelessly asking for his phone number. Sometimes he intentionally tried to find Seo Ryeong and asked her to go out for a walk in order to escape their horny fellow students. Everybody seemed to be intimidated whenever they saw her. She made fun of him every single time, “How desperate you are to come to me for help”. Gon never went with them on those trips due to security reasons, obviously. It surprised her how much she enjoyed having Yeong all for herself. He bought her food after their walk and one time somehow they ended up drinking beer together in Gyeongju. He told her about his family, mostly to subdue the awkwardness between them, and even asked her about things she never cared to share with anyone. They were both not a fan of getting deep and personal, their stories ended quickly and strangely left her longing for more. She did not know how to talk to him without sounding premeditated. Only with him did she feel like maybe she was not good enough. Maybe she needed to live life differently, to drop the act and let him see all of her calculations.
That was when she unknowingly started flirting with him a bit. She tried that with Gon years ago until they both realized the true intention of being in each other’s life. Then she did it with Yeong because there seemed to be no other way to get closer to him, she was kind of impatient and definitely not herself. She started drinking a lot around that time because of all the essays she had to write, relationships with important people she had to maintain while staying alert around Yeong and waiting for him to be under her control.
A week before she submitted her final thesis, she did the most stupidly cliche thing ever, and that was drunk calling Jo Yeong while she was out drinking alone. She was fed up with reading and writing and living alone in the city. Most nights she could not sleep peacefully and had no idea when the last time she ate a proper meal. So she drove to the closest bar she could find and drank half a bottle of expensive whiskey which would cost a lot of the money that she made working part time. She counted in her head how many days were left before she could stop with the pretentious studying and actually start working on her long overdue plans. Five glasses led to nine, then some guys came over offering to buy her drinks. She remembered being sober enough to drop mean words and scare most of them away. One guy stuck around for so long and was shamelessly insistent about bringing her home, she had to pull the boyfriend-coming-here-very-soon card. She knew she was completely intoxicated when she pressed his name on her phone. There was no way she would come out of the bar safely if she didn’t call someone she could trust.
“Noona, it’s 2 AM. What’s going on?”, he picked up after a few seconds and said boringly. Like he was about to fall asleep but she appeared out of nowhere and prevented that from happening.
She chuckled, regretting whatever she was doing in the back of her mind, “I don’t know, why don’t you come here and find out?”
“And where are you exactly?”, he signed.
She told him the address, and imagined him wondering why he even answered her call. She was so drunk, the thought of him not coming at all actually scared her. The guy next to Seo Ryeong kept on persuading her to go with him, to leave her fictitious boyfriend behind and stop acting hard to get. She laughed in disgust without batting an eye and continued drinking. The funny thing was none of the guys dared to touch her for too long, she guessed she had that kind of power. Time passed slowly and she was convinced Yeong did not care enough to drive all the way here from the palace to deal with someone he never really trusted. So when he called out her name from behind, she almost fell from the stool where she was sitting. Then everything suddenly happened too quick, too fast.
Yeong held her upright, one hand caressing her face, the other tugging her messy hair behind her ears. He asked for the bill and paid for it. She leaned her head on his chest during the whole card transaction, when he had to sign the bill his arms surrounded her. He was wearing a black linen shirt and dark jeans. Did he always smell this good? She buried her face in his neck absentmindedly and inhaled his scent. She could feel Yeong stopped abruptly in the middle of asking the bartender about something related to her drunken state. He wanted to know if she was alone the whole time, and she kind of imagined him not wanting any guy near her. Then he carried her out the front door, the early summer heat was suffocating and she told him she wanted to lie down somewhere. He quickly put her on the passenger seat of his car and she tugged on his shirt to pull him closer while he was trying to secure the seatbelt.
Seo Ryeong woke up in the morning with the worst headache ever. Her room smelled faintly of vomit. She panicked for exactly 10 seconds while everything from the night before flashing through her mind. She did not remember anything at all after entering Yeong’s car. She still wore the same clothes from last night, covered by her warm blanket. Her room seemed pretty clean, maybe he helped her to the bathroom before she made a mess of herself... For the first time in her life, she wanted to end her existence right there. While trying to grab the phone she saw a bottle of hangover cure on her bedside table. There was a text from him, sent 2 hours ago, “Drink it, cook some soup, text me when you’re awake.”
Could a heart ever get swollen? Because it felt like hers kind of did. She prayed to all the Gods above she did not say anything stupid to him during the drive home.

My cousin Melissa not able to come back on Monday to talk more about the family because her youngest daughter got sick and it turned out she had appendicitis. Everything is OK but we were sorry we didn't get to visit with her some more. That afternoon our neighbors in the campground behind us came home with a smoker grill.  I asked if he needed any unloading it, but they were OK. We watch them put that grill together for the next 2 and a 1/2 hours. They worked really well together, unlike most married couples. After it was over, he asked if I wanted a beer. My initial reaction was no, but then my upbringing kicked in and if someone offers you a beer you take it and we socialized with them for an hour or so. They had just sold their house and bought a fixer upper at quite a discount so there having it remodeled. Russ is a pipeline inspector and he had worked for a Tulsa company for a while but had never been there or met the owners. It turns out his family is from Sicily and we had a lot to talk about. His wife Sandra is retired Special ED teacher at a junior college . We had a really good visit for a couple of hours before they had to make dinner and get ready for work the next day.  We tried to find 2 batteries for the RV at Sam's Club but they only had one so we headed for Rocklin to visit that evening with Allison and her friend/fiancé’ Andre. We didn't know what to expect, but it was a warm welcoming. They had ordered brisket and barbecue chicken with baked potatoes and some corn bread rolls.  It couldn't have been better. They are also members of a local winery so they had some of their own wine that we could try. We spent the next 4 hours reminiscing, recalling visits with her dad and his memorial service, etc. Turns out they had traveled to New Zealand on the North island. When I said I had jumped out an airplane in Australia Allison said she had done the same thing recently. She is a nurse at a urgent care center and Andre is a project manager for PGE so he works out of his home. They were both physical fitness buffs and Andre has a wall of medals and certificates from all the half marathons, five-and-ten K races and triathlons he has done. Allison did CrossFit until she tore ACL and her right bicep. I think now they more or less just try to stay in shape. They are really a fun couple and we predict years of happiness for them in the future. They are just moved into their new house a few months before we got there and they have been able to make a lot of the selections for the granite flooring etc. They live in a strict HOA a community and are still awaiting approval for their backyard landscaping even though no one could see it but them. It's a weed patch now.
 May 5
We drove to Beale Air Force base by way of Forest Hills bridge, a cantilever bridge that is 730' above the river.  It’s the tallest bridge in California and either the 3rd or 4th highest bridge above the river in United States. I just had to go see it. When we got to the Air Force Base we had to get a visitor's pass versus just going on base like we have been doing. They were very friendly and helped us get it done as quickly as possible. We thought we only had one night with full hookups and one night dry camping, but as luck would have it the person who was coming in on the 6th cancelled so we got to spend 2 nights in a regular campsite. It's nice with a lot of families living here who probably work on base.
May 6
It is very warm 91 yesterday and a high of 86 today. There is a good breeze and the AC is working. Not sure where we will head tomorrow because a lot of the national parks we want to see and some have roads still blocked by snow pack. Again, we won't get to see everything we thought we would on this trip. It's better than nothing though.
My freezer hinge repair didn't hold up so I had to find a piece of sheet metal to repair the hinge today. Luckily, I found a guy who thought Outside the Box. The auto repair shop Lady said I would have to go to the Body repair shop to get a piece of metal, but this young gentleman said we have a scrap metal box outback. He said let's go look there and the 1st thing I saw was an old fluorescent light fixture that had “tab” on it that was exactly what I needed. He got some tin snips and we fashioned a piece to match the paper model I had. I predict he will go far wherever he works. The part worked perfectly and we think our hinge will work well enough to get us back home. One of our neighbors stopped to talk. She and her family had just arrived a week ago from Madrid.  Her husband is a fighter pilot and they have 2 young children 2 and 5. We had a nice conversation with Jennifer. Their background is farming from Illinois, around Springfield. She said you probably don't know where that is. It’s just where my ex-wife was born. We had a nice talk and they are living in the RV waiting for housing on the base. More to follow in a few days.

Pure Nicotine Salt E.
Ethan While I was assisting my close friend at the shop I've then I uncovered vaping Do It Yourself and also it truly came to be a hobby. I enjoy attempting new builds, brand-new coils, mixing flavors and more. I've met tons of outstanding individuals and also began to show them all I obtained regarding vaping, as my one more passion. Begun working at Vaporesso as a blog owner 2 years ago, that's the best point ever.
I simply acquired a juul and its the very first time a vape has succesfully maintained me from cigarette smoking. I likewise smoke it a lot less a week after acquiring it, yet still thoroughly appreciate it. Nicotine in tobacco leaves has the chemical structure of a salt. A salt is made up of a chain reaction that has a positive cost and negative cost. This technique was located in the 1960's by Phillip Morris, the company that has Marlboro. This was a significant advancement for Marlboro and they enjoyed this affordable advantage for years as they turned into one of one of the most popular brand names or addicting cigarettes in the world.

At 9 mg e-juice with a 0.15 Coil and also 40W, it is challenging to identify what will be a direct matching to pure nicotine salt with a 2.0 coil and a device I am assuming that is much less than 20W. If you're chain vaping at 3 mg, I would certainly recommend you to bump up to 6 mg in normal e-juice. If you intend to check out salt nics, you can try our 35 mg salt nic juices. If you have Ruthless Vapor products the nicotine degrees will certainly be plainly presented on the bottle.
Having an additional vape setup with a 0mg vape juice aided me also because like you, I found myself vaping for the flavor occasionally. An additional reason that vaping may not have helped you in the past may result from not selecting the best pure nicotine toughness. If you felt like your nicotine desires are not satisfied with your previous nicotine toughness, it may be worth thinking about into relocating right into vaping salt nicotine. The vaping market is essentially buzzing over this new item as a result of the instantaneous rush you obtain from pure nicotine salts.

There are numerous nicotine salt makers developing brand-new flavors every single day. Nonetheless, several existing vape juice companies such as Naked 100 have actually recreated a lot of their top-selling vape juices right into salt nic juice choices. Have a look at ourbest pure nicotine salt flavor suggestions to see which flavors our vape juice flavor specialists recommend. Primarily, generally of thumb, the higher the salt nic toughness, the greater your resistance degree should be. The majority of capsule mod vapers discover that somewhere in between 1.0 and also 1.4 ohms is the pleasant place when it comes to 50mg salt nic e-liquids. Most of the times, anything reduced will lead to a burnt taste as well as rough feeling, and also anything higher will produce really little vapor, not to mention a weak pure nicotine hit. Juice Guy on the internet vape store markets over 1,000+ vape brands and products.
Salts additionally are available in a few different pure nicotine levels which have a tendency to be 50 mg as well as anywhere from mg. I loved reading your short article, I found it quite useful and very easy to follow as a layperson with an interest in chemistry. I just wished to point something out, possibly you have actually currently been alerted, and if so, please negligence this remark. Again, depending upon preference and also constitution, some people might be great with sub-ohming 50 nic, however in general I would ALWAYS advise versus it. I just intended to put that out there, as a lot of business that I've seen that make or co-pack high-nic salts put some kind of "Not for Sub-Ohm Use" label on their bottles. I just understand another person who vapes so Pub-Med, NIH as well as online articles and also discussion forums are my main resource for details. This one individual just so occurs to vape a true nic salt 70/30 assimilate a Smok Morph in between watts.
Greater Pure Nicotine Levels - This is a significant step for the vaping area considering that the higher nicotine degrees and also the immediate rush you receive from pure nicotine salts will certainly aid immensely in stopping cigarettes. Some may say that nic salts are a lot more reliable in dealing with food cravings than the various other tools out there. Even though nicotine salts are recognized to be not the most effective way to deliver pure nicotine, Pax Labs have supposedly found out a method to make it more reliable than freebase nicotine. This is due to the benzoic acid included in the salt nicotine as the pure nicotine becomes a lot more easily available and more effective than traditional freebased e-liquids. I had attempted pure nicotine salts after a few of my own juice mixings.

Mysterious Man
13 years ago right before I made my first Tumbler account I was a taxi driver in a small town. I worked for a tiny company that only had two cars, one of which was broken during my entire time driving for the company so me and one other driver would drive for 12 hour shifts, switching each week for who will drive during the day shift and the night. Although I never actually saw the other driver I knew he was doing his job as the ash tray in the car always had cigarettes butts in it and the vehicle always smelled like smoke. One Friday night in October I had got a call for a pick up at an address near where I was. One quick note to know is that in small towns people don't flag taxis down they call the taxi service number to get a ride. the area code from the call did not match the area from which the address of the pick up was, The towns name is Akron in Lancaster County. Its area code is 717, which was always the area code shown from all the calls we got, so when this one was different I immediately noticed. The voice on the other end of the line sounded like a guy about my age with a rough gravely tone to his voice, I suspect he was a smoker. It only took 10 minutes to get to the address, and when I go there there was nobody there, I thought some fucking teenagers were trying to prank me, but company policy was I had to wait for 2 minutes before leaving. The weird thing was that this never happened to me before, every time I got to a destination someone would always be there. The address was in a middle class neighborhood at a house on the corner. A minute passed by and nobody came I almost left but decided to wait. Behind the cab was a streetlamp on the corner, I looked out my passenger side mirror and sure enough a man wearing a hood rounded the corner. At first I could barely make out his silhouette but as he came under the streetlamp I could make out more details. He was about 5′10 wearing ripped jeans and a grey sweatshirt with a back pack on. His hands were in his pockets and he looked down as he was walking. He opened the car door facing the side walk and got in. As he sat down I asked him were to? In a quite tone he said the address. I thought to myself this guy must be a dumbass or something because the address he said was only two blocks away. I looked back in my mirror at him to let him know that his destination was only two blocks away, I couldn't see his face cause of the hood but I could see glistening specs of light from sweat, he looked like he was out of breath. He responded with “Drive” coldly. I thought to my self maybe this guy isn't a dumbass just a asshole. I started to drive, it took me like 2 fucking minutes to get to the address which was a little house with a yard full of dead grass. I told him that will be 8.50$. I saw him reach for the door and I locked it. I told him sir you got to pay I'm just doing my job. Then this guy pulls out a gun and holds it to my head. I'm thinking that ima bout to get splattered on to the window and ima freaking out. Without saying anything I unlock the door and he putts the gun back in his bag gets out and walks away like nothing happened. I filed a police report but nothing ever came of it cause I neve even saw the guys face. Two months later I'm watching the news and I see a taxi driver got killed by a gun 5 minutes away from where I dropped the guy off and the taxi driver was the one other driver at the company I was driving for.

smoking, my story
youre at pride and getting stressed. youre not with the boy you like, he is head over heels with another girl. he always is, he always find a new one, just never you.
your classmate shows up and she is smoking. she sees you distressed. "want to try" you impulsively say yes, and all your troubles go away. you think about how just a year ago it was everything you hated. how do people even begin? dont their lungs cry for help? you cough at first, then carry on. the rest of the day is fantastic. you hang out with your new friend, you want to buy a pack. "dont start. itll make everything worse"
you listen to him. he is right.
youre just aching for another cigarette though. you go to the mall to buy a vape. they dont give it to you. you arent 18. your mom picks you up and you go on with shopping. "maybe its a sign" you think.
school starts and your health is deteriorating. you tried everything to make yourself calm, that smoke is still on your mind. youve starved and teared your skin apart, youve told yourself horrifying things about yourself. your brains mean. you want to escape it. youve got a new classmate and you become close to her, she is a smoker. she is struggling to bring a few everyday and you share. this tastes good. theyre so strong, your mind goes on autopilot every time you do it. you two put money together and she buys a pack. its heaven on earth. but that finishes fast...they wont give her a pack at the corner store so you try. they dont ask any questions. black dunhill. the strongest you and your classmate know of. they make you dizzy, but in a good way. they are helping you reach your goal. you tell your friend about your daily smoke. she is disappointed. youre hurting yourself. wasnt the outside enough? why kill yourself from the inside? this is a famous way to get cancer after all. yet you want to die, you hope you do. youre killing yourself slowly, but it feels good. youre content. you know that by taking a fuck load of pills, throwing yourself out the window, slitting your wrists, theyre gonna think "oh, they wanted attention" but if you die from this, its the illness that took you away. you have wanted to die for years. and this is bringing you a bit of joy. its the one thing keeping you going. now that you get your own packs, you smoke more. those 2 a day now seem impossible, how did you get off by so little?
your parents find out. its an absolute shock to them. you used to cry when youe father was a smoker, you begged for him and your grandpa to quit. now youre the one theyre begging. theyre disappointed, youre used to the feeling. all you do is disappoint them. one way or another. youre hurting them by hurting yourself and you hate yourself for it but you do what you have to do to survive.
you used to think you could control it, but oh you were so wrong. it is controlling you now, but its still calm. just as if youre hugging a friend of fire. he is damaging you, but its a hug. comforting. you realize this was all fun and games before you got addicted. now its your first thought in the morning and youre watching yourself sink deeper into it. whats wrong with you? why cant you stop? "im not gonna smoke on the weekends" turned into "i cant wait to have these all to myself"

January 1st, 1926.
Small Heath, Birmingham.
Y/n hadn’t slept a wink that night. After the party, she cleaned up and packed her suitcase. Her flight was scheduled to go at five in the morning. It was still fairly early in the day when she arrived as England was only five hours ahead. She’d flown from New York to her destination in a matter of a few short hours and it didn’t take long for her to find the apartment that her new business partner had arranged for her. She set her things down and started to organise everything straight away. Although Y/n was in for business and wanted nothing more than to get right into it, she couldn’t bring herself to meet the previously mentioned business partner without tidying up a bit. Considering it was one in the afternoon, she had half an hour time to clean up before she had to make her way to the Garrison Pub.
“You just can’t stay still, can you?” Victor mused from his spot on the couch. “I’ll make us something to eat.” He offered without moving a single muscle.
“I’m not hungry.” She answered as she scrambled around.
“Well, I am.” His eyebrows furrowed as he watched her, “why are you in a rush?”
“I have somewhere I have to be soon?”
“Why are you unpacking, then?” “Porque me da la perra gana,” she sighed, pulling out of the room she picked for herself to walk into the living room. “You’re gonna make breakfast, you said? Chop chop, jit. We haven’t got all day.” “Who’re you callin’ a ‘jit’, jit? You’re the one that’s two feet tall,” he stood up and stood tall at six feet and three inches. He was one of the giants in the family.
Victor walked over to the small kitchen and searched through the cabinets for food and cooking utensils. “It was nice of this ‘business partner’ of yours to get you a whole apartment to yourself.”
“Well, he did ask me to come all the way here, it’s his responsibility to get me a place to stay,” Y/n declaimed. Shortly after, she realised what he was actually suggesting, “oh God, no. It’s not like that.”
Victor smirked to himself as he whirled around to face the twenty five year old woman, “‘it’s not like that’.” He repeated, changing the pitch of his voice to a higher one in order to mock her. “‘Not like that’, huh?”
“You already know what I’m here for, Victor, stop bein’ such a dick.”
“You are what you eat. Anywho, there’d be no shame in havin’ some fun on the side--” “Killin’ Luca is the only fun I need for a whole life-time.” The man’s smirk fell, “your idea of fun is morbid as hell, güera.”
“Aha, well,” she looked down at her non-existent wrist watch. “Gotta go.” Y/n made her way to the front door, “lock it for me, please?” She didn’t stick around to hear him say anything. She wasn’t late or anything, she still had fifteen minutes to get to the pub and based off what the locals had told her, the pub was five minutes away. A simple left turn at the stop and she’d be there, waiting for the stranger she spoke to on the phone three days ago. The stranger that promised her the world.
She had ten minutes to kill when she walked into the building. “You can’t be here.” The bartender warned. “I’m here to meet Thomas Shelby, does that name ring a bell? Judgin’ by the look on your face, it does. I’m gonna sit here and wait for a bit, if it’s alright with you.” The bartender said nothing to Y/n as she sat down at the bar. “Scottish whisky, please.” She heard the stool next to her scraped along the floor. Someone was moving it to sit next to her. “And I’d like an Irish whiskey.” She looked over to see who was speaking. Even though he was sitting down, she could tell he was a fairly tall man. He wore a suit with a long coat over it. Well, the coat wasn’t on at this point, he’d taken it off before he sat, placing it on the counter in front of him along with his cap. The cap, she noticed, had a razor sewn into it. The only explanation for such attire was that this person was a Peaky Blinder.
Y/n watched as the bartender served the man before serving her. She decided she’d turn and address the man next to her. “Are you Thomas Shelby, by any chance?”
“Yes.”
“Y/n Nieves,” she introduced herself, holding her hand out.
Thomas’ eyes glanced down at her hand and then moved themselves back up to the cup he was raising to his mouth. He stood up and placed the glass down in a not so gentle manner. “Right, well, let’s go into the--”
“We can go as soon as you shake my hand. You don’t seem to have a disability that’s keepin’ you from shakin’ the damn thang.”
Thomas smiled, “you seem like you’re ready to fight me, Mrs. Nieves.” He jested as he took her hand and shook it sternly. What he wasn’t quite expecting, was for her to be just as tough. “Miss,” she corrected as they pulled away and placed their hands back at their sides. “And I just about am. You’re gonna have to try very hard to get on my good side now.” She smiled back. “Now, where’d you wanna go?”
“In there,” he pointed toward the private room right next to the bar that he liked to use very often. “For privacy.”
Y/n cautiously walked in the indicated direction, into the private room. She scanned her surroundings for exits in case things went sour. There were none, save for the very door she walked through. She knew she was safe and could handle herself fairly well, but as a woman, being careless could mean death, or worse, in the right situation. That’s why she always kept a gun on her. Well, multiple guns. One in her purse, another in her coat pocket, and another tucked safely in her shoulder holster.
She wasted no time with small talk, “so. You need help taking that dick out.”
Thomas cleared his throat, his eyebrows touched his hairline. He wasn’t quite expecting her to say that. Though, he wasn’t very surprised as she did call him out not too long ago for not shaking her hand. “Yes,” he tittered before sitting down and gesturing for her to sit as well. His hand found his pack of cigarettes and pulled them out of his pocket prior to opening it and putting one of the cigarettes in between his lips. He threw the pack down onto the wooden table before lighting his cigarette. “I’m assuming you were acquainted with him at some point.”
Y/n gently set her purse down on the table in front of her and sat down across from her new business partner. “We were, unfortunately.”
“Want one?” Thomas offered, but Y/n politely declined, telling him she wasn’t a smoker. “You’ve obviously arrived safely. This town is your home for now, feel free to do what you wish, should anyone give you trouble, just say you’re with me. I trust you and your cousins have found your apartments?” Y/n nodded, “yes. Hope you don’t mind, my brother came along with me. Actually, I’m sure you don’t mind. More foot soldiers for you.”
Her comment didn’t fly past him, but he didn’t take much offense to it. “Your brother and your cousins can work in my factory as guards. Luca’s been--”
“Messin’ with your company, I know. He does that.” “You know how to deal with it.” “The only way to deal with it, Tom, is to kill him,” Y/n smiled as she brought her glass cup up to her lips. “But you already know that. When do you need them to start?”
“Would today be alright with you?”
“As if we have a choice,” she snickered as she took a sip of her whisky, prompting Thomas to do the same. “I’d very much prefer it if no one knew you were working with me.”
“Alright.”
Y/n watched as the man pulled out some papers from the inside of his jacket as well as a pen, and placed the items in front of her. “I know I came here to sign my business over to you and all, but you do know I’m still gonna read this before I do anythin’ else, right?”
“I would hope so.”
Without skipping a beat, she did as she said she would do. Her eyebrows knitted closer together the further down she got on the paper. Of course he would add some terms to their partnership that she’d have to really sit down and think about. Luckily for her, she was already doing both. Usually, when one has to make decisions like these, they’d consult their loved ones to make sure they’d be alright with said decisions. But there was nothing ‘usual’ about Y/n. And Y/n was going to sign onto whatever the hell she wanted to regardless of the consequences her loved ones may have to face if it meant that Luca Changretta would rue the day they’d met. That was enough to motivate her to sign the contract Thomas had put together. She’d have to deal with everything else when the time came.
The walk back to the apartment wasn’t a long one. Mainly because the walk didn’t happen. After she’d inscribed her signature onto the white paper, the two of them drank a bit more and conversed. Then, when they got bored of that, Thomas offered to drive her home. She gladly accepted the offer since the cold weather in Birmingham was just as unforgiving in New York; and as much as she liked to pretend the weather didn’t bother her, she never actually got used to it.
“I’ll tell my brother to come out, then, so you can take him to your factory,” Y/n informed the tall man as she stepped out of the running car.
“I’ll be waiting here,” he answered as he lit yet another cigarette.
To say Y/n wasn’t exactly expecting, or happy with what she saw when she opened the door to her apartment is a major understatement. There, in her living room, were two unwelcome guests: Romona and Saraí. Besides feeling surprised, she felt disgustingly disrespected. She’d told her sister to stay home and mind her own, only for the girl to follow her all the way to another country with their baby sister. Did she do this to spite her? Most likely. They didn’t exactly part on the best of terms and Romona did like to get petty. “Victor, Thomas is waiting for you outside. Tú y nuestros primos van a ir con Thomas, he’s gonna tell you what you’re gonna be doing from now until we go back to New York.” “Why is he gonna dictate what I’m gonna be doin’?” “Because you decided to come with me.” Victor sighed and stepped out of the apartment, Y/n followed him. “Why are they here?” She asked him quietly.
“I dunno, they got here seconds before you got back,” he answered just as quietly as they walked to the car.
“Take care of ‘em for me,” Y/n told the driver, Thomas, who just shot her a small smile. “I’m sure your brother can take care of himself.”
“I’m older than you, ya know.” Victor chortled, opening the car door and sitting in the passenger’s seat. “My name’s Victor, nice to meet you,” he greeted the stranger that was sat in the driver’s seat, offering his hand to him for a handshake.
“Thomas,” the man introduced himself, taking Victor’s hand and shaking it.
“That don’t mean shit, I still want you taken care of.” Y/n poked. “Whatever, manita. Cuídate,” he leaned over to give her a small peck on the cheek. “Don’t give her a hard time.” Of course, he was referring to Ramona. He wasn’t worried about Saraí. He knew Saraí wasn’t going to be the one to get her ass chewed out. For one, Y/n always went easy on her and was more compassionate toward her. And another reason was that she knew the only reason Saraí came along to begin with was Ramona. Surely, Ramona convinced their parents to let Saraí come with her. And of course, being that the younger female was always hungry for acceptance and attention, she had no qualms with coming along.
The woman in charge scoffed. “¿Como no, cuando ella me hace la vida un yogur?”
“Y/n!” Called Ramona, who was currently storming out of the apartment barefooted.
“See?” The twenty-five year old pointed dramatically. “Olvídate del yogur. Me hace la vida un cafecito sin la espumita.”
“Shut the fuck up, you’re the one that’s bein’ difficult!”
“I told you not to come here--”
“Can you guys go back inside and fight there? We’re wasting his time,” Victor scolded the two women before looking behind them and noticing that Saraí was standing outside as well. He wasn’t exactly in the mood to see them embarrass themselves in front of someone like Thomas Shelby. If his little sister wanted to deal with this man so badly, she, along with everyone else, needed to be at the top of their game and they needed to look professional whilst doing so. “Oye, vete pa’ dentro. All of you." The look he gave them sent the message that he wasn’t playing around. Without a single word, the two younger women marched inside. Y/n, of course, was very reluctant to do so since she was technically supposed to be the one in charge. Victor didn’t complain, though, as he wasn’t exactly trying to order her around, he was just trying to keep the other two from stirring up more trouble.
“Te veo,” Y/n kissed him on the cheek, waved at Thomas, who gave a tiny wave back, and watched as the car pulled off and turned right at the corner. She sighed before walking back into her temporary apartment. “You have no idea how angry I am.”
--
Güera: light skinned person.
Porque me da la perra gana: Basically, it means “because I want to,” but with more… pizzazz.
Me hace la vida un yogur/me tiene la vida hecha un yogur: This is probably my favourite thing to say, not that anyone asked. It literally translates to “...makes my life a yogurt/has made my life a yogurt.” What it means is that someone or something has or is making your life difficult or confusing or frustrating.
Cafecito con espuma/espumita: Cuban coffee with foam.
Oye, vete pa’ dentro: “Hey, go inside, bitches.” The bitches part is not explicitly stated, but it is implied… :) jk, jk. Victor’s not like that. He’s an angel. Fun fact, I was gonna name him Angel, but then I said, “nah. I’m good.”
Te veo: see you.

Shop owner ends in hot water for being a crook
Cast: Me - yours truly, F - friend and coworker, B - boss, or bastard, you choose.
Some backstory (sorry for the long one, but there are things I need to make clear):
This happened 10 years ago. I was 18 and this was during the spring period of my junior year. I wanted to get money for a new mobile phone and a school trip to Austria, in order to practice on my German (my major was Math and German). My dad didn't want to give me the necessary 350 Euros for them, even though I was a 4.0 GPA student, calling me spoiled and selfish and asking me to get a job, just like all other normal teens at that time (actually none of my classmates were working, all were given the world by their parents for being in one of the most elite high schools in the city, but hey, you can't choose your family). So I got me a job at a local tobacco shop. It was right across my block of flats, so it was taking me 2 minutes to run from my flat to the shop, no big deal.
The owner of the shop (B) was a short man in his 40s, a man with good demeanor, or so I thought. He owned 4 other shops and needed workforce. We initially agreed for a payment of 15 Euros/day, I would work 4PM to 1AM, 4 days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays, so I would not miss on my schooling. He would pay me once every 2 weeks and even stated he would give me a raise after the first month.
The tobacco shop was selling not only tobacco products, but also alcohol, coffee, nuts, candy, chips, coke and its products etc. It allowed customers to get a cup of coffee which was freshly ground, as well as freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit juice.
So I started in the beginning of March. I was working with two other people, a 45-ish-year-old fat woman with a whining character, who would usually take the morning shifts from 6AM to 4PM and a 19-year-old beautiful girl (F). Also, I need to mention that, at that time, the store would share a toilet with a Courier service office, this is important for later.
There is one more thing I need to add - my country's labour codex states that employees must get a double payment during official holidays and also have at least 12 hours of rest between shifts. This is also important for later.
So initially I was doing fine - I did a couple of days of training, I learnt how to operate and clean the coffee machines, the juice machine, the cashier, the receipts (I needed to press Enter 3 times to enter the products in the system and take a receipt), this is important for later as well). It was quite easy, because I operated fast with money and calculations, and overall was quite trustworthy. I had some small incidents with minors who came asking for beer and cigarettes, but I would not sell the items to them, as it is illegal (my colleagues didn't care about that, but I was taught to uphold the law). Some of the frequent customers, who lived in the hood, would also initially be annoyed with me as well, because they were expecting from me to know the brand of cigarettes they smoke. Yes, there would be conversations like "two packs of my cigarettes - which brand? - Marlboro, you are supposed to know that - sorry, I only work here since recently - well, I come here every day, you should have remembered by now...". Eventually, this stopped, but I got the stink eye from some of them from time to time, because I am a sworn non-smoker, for me all cigarettes are poison, no matter the brand and the strength, and they didn't like that.
Overall, the job was not hard, and I had free Wi-Fi, so I would often bring my laptop to watch Youtube videos or listen to music online (at that time smartphones were expensive as hell and I had a regular mobile phone)
My first two fortnightly salaries were okay. I was supposed to get 120 Euros each, I got something like 110, but this was because I would get a random snack from the shop when I got hungry, and B would deduct all from my payment, which was okay. Also, B initially wanted me to add the tip to the cashier (the tip was the change (5, 10, 20 cents), which the customers would often not take and in the end it would add up to a few Euros), but we agreed for it to remain for me, as the other employees would also take it with them.
A month has passed. It was April, the days started to get warmer and B had permission to set a couple of coffee tables with chairs in front of the shop, so customers could drink their coffee and have a chat with a friend. I was instructed to take the tables and chairs back in the shop around 20:00, and a sign was posted on its front door.
So here started the problems.
After my first month I approached B for a raise, he said I was still a bit rusty and to wait at least 2 more weeks. He also gave me the contract to sign. I never got a copy, but, since this was my first job, I didn't know I needed one. I never got a raise as well, because I was "losing his customers". Bastard.
I had good relations with our colleagues at the courier office, but once I had a problem with them, because I took out the trash, but forgot to clean the juice machine. I threw the orange remains in the toilet, but one tiny piece of orange seemed to remain on the edge, so I was yelled by B and was fined 10 Euros.
There were two other times I was fined 10 Euros, for forgetting to turn the outside lights off and for forgetting to put the daily report in the shop log, but this was my fault. My second coworker would also report me for missing a trash bag or failing to put the items in the fridges in order, but she never took out the trash and never tidied up, so this actually went against her. I never had problems with F.
I had problems with some of the local customers, though. I live in a considerably poor neighbourhood and there are different types of scumbags who live there. There is this group of 10 people, in their late 40s and 50s, who are alcoholics and were sitting at the coffee tables until dark, as if this was the local pub. When I asked them to leave, because it went past 20:00 and I had to take the tables to the shop. I was yelled by them drunks and later by B as well, because I was "losing frequent customers for being rude and disrespectful to them", even though I almost ended up in a knife fight with one disgusting animal.
The cherry on the cake was the incident with an entitled mother, because she had sent her child to buy her beer and cigarettes and I refused to sell the items to him, because it is against the law. I then got a fine of 30 Euros by B and was pretty pissed.
In the last week of my work, in the beginning of June, B asked me to go and work in other shops, stating there was a sick employee and he needed me there. It was Friday, I ended up working from 15:00 to 22:00 in the local shop, then he took me to one of the other shops, where I worked from 23:00 to 08:00 on Saturday. Then he asked me to work from 23:00 to 11:00 on Sunday and wanted me to be at 16:00 in my local shop, but I refused, because I was exhausted. He threatened to not pay me extra, and we agreed to go to the shop at 19:00, after I got some sleep (I was supposed to get at least 12 hours between the shifts, as I mentioned above, but he didn't care).
After this exhausting time B wanted to change me to another shop, but I refused due to my schooling and also because I wanted to remain in the same shop. But he got some new workers and said I would not be working until the end of the week. Eventually I understood he had terminated my contract and also refused to pay me for the last 2 weeks, nearly 200 Euros in total with the extra shifts.
There are a few more things, which are important:
Some of my free days I spent with F. She was at work and I was in the shop with her, having a chat and being together, because she had some mild form of anxiety and didn't want to remain alone. During this time I noticed she used a different combination to enter the products in the system - enter, enter, 1, enter. I understood that this would enter the items in the system, but would not send the information to the receipt machine, and this would not get a receipt and thus the boss would not have to pay VAT for the items. I also understood later that he asked for everyone else to do it, everyone but me, because I wanted everything to be legal.
There was a new coworker, whom B liked and tried to seduce. He was overtly sexist and wanted to hire attractive girls, whom to pay more and to be more clingy towards them. I didn't like that at all. So the new coworker ended up being very crooked and actually stole around 400 Euros, which B blamed me for, and said he had camera recordings, but this was all bullshit.
So after all of this I was angry and wanted revenge. Initially I spoke to a friend, who advised me to report him to the local Labour Inspection office, which I did. It almost ended with a lawsuit and I was threatened by my boss this would cost me dearly, so I backed my claim, because I needed a clean legal certificate, because I was going to the Bulgarian Naval Academy in a year and didn't want to jeopardize my future. My dad got softer on me and paid for my phone and the trip, saying I earned them, because it wasn't my fault for why I didn't have the money, it was the moron of a boss.
Years have passed. I got discharged due to medical reasons and came back to my hometown. I got a new job and was living with my father, until I get better. The shop was still owned by this prick and he was going around town in a very expensive car, and I even saw him once to smoke Cohiba cigars, which usually go 15-20 Euros a piece. In the mean time he was still paying 15-20 Euros a day to the shop assistants, and I understood he was desperate for workforce.
So I decided to turn all of this against him. I knew some of the workers, as we grew up together, and they complained how much of a crook B was. I hated him for being so cheap on his employees and so large in personal spending. We started a rumour about how bad of a boss he was and to stay away from him. Word got out and he not only started losing assistants, but no one would want to ask him for a job.
One time police was nearby. Someone had broken one of the shop's large windows with a stone and stolen a large amount of cigarettes. The losses were for about a thousand euros, from what I understood. B also had to pay for a new window, and that would cost him more. Apparently, he had pissed off a lot of people.
I also suggested to some of his former employees, whom I knew vaguely, to file individual reports against B in the local Labour inspection office, like I did all those years ago. I explained they would definitely rattle his cage. A lot of reports went in, and I understood there was a major inspection of all shops. They could also use my information, but I asked them to take me off the case, I didn't want any recompense, only to watch him burn.
Eventually, B disappeared. What I understood, is that he ended up with a lot of problems, because he was charged with mistreatment of his personnel, violation of the Labour codex, felony tax evasion and a number of other charges.
So far I know that he is somewhere in the UK, while the business is handled by his brother and wife. His shops were cut in half due to the lack of workers, and I understood they were about to close another one as well. His business is not as successful as before, and I also understood it is frequently inspected.
Now, I know B didn't end up in jail, or at least I don't know about it. But I don't care. Sooner or later everyone gets what they deserve. I will not be the person to put him behind bars, but most of those people still greet me with smiles and give me updates on the case. They also thank me for giving them the idea of filing reports and using their rights. I guess I am the mastermind behind all of this, and, to be honest, I will be extremely happy, when he gets what he deserves from being a crook and a piece of trash. And the best part is - I don't have to do anything about it.
TLDR - I had a disgusting crook for a boss during my first job. He exploited me and other employees, I suggested to them to file reports against him, and he got into a lot of trouble for this.

The latest from the Greater SF World Community scene is that Skittlez Cano, whose real first name is spelled either Ariel or Arielle, is retired. She is an SF entrepreneur of the first order and a Social Media Smoking Darling. An incredible smoker and as appealing as any SF model/actress. If she's lost to us indeed, it brings tears!
DON'T COME ANY HOTTER THAN 'SKITTLEZ' CANO!
Dedicated to the Marlboro Menthols family of brands-- Black, Mediums, 100s, all of them--but a few years ago switched over to Marlboro Reds, ordinarily Marlboro 100s. She's a Marlboro Girl is what we'll claim! "Skittlez" is incredible. She was No. 2 on the "unofficial" official Top-25 all-time favorite SF models list posted on vs120shound in early- to mid-January a year ago. Great spot for her. Well earned! Heard and read few complaints about that placement. Guess we kind of nailed it on that one! What do you feel about it?
She is a native of Colorado or was living there when she began with cigarettes in her early teenage years. Has moved several times and is the mother to two or three young children as she approaches ⏤ if not having reached and surpassed ⏤ 30 y.o. Her family and she has settled in the Greater Austin, Texas area. She is an SF Hall of Famer and a Smoking Goddess! A giant in our realm! At some point when she reaches Middle Age, and for some that begins in your late-30s, she might put her SF business behind her. Also, as she has done briefly in the past for health reasons, she might leave the lifestyle of smoking cigarettes. Perish the thought! But that's reality. There are millions upon millions of gorgeous former smokers out there. Good thing is that some of them stay quit for awhile before backsliding and picking up with cigarettes once more! Maybe that will be the deal for Skittlez. However, it shakes out, she is in control of that. . . . but if she has a young daughter who reaches her teenage years not too, too far off, she might one day hear after lighting up, "Hey, Mom! I want to start smoking cigarettes, well, me and my friends do. All of us do. Can you show me how to do it as sexy as you always do it, and then I can teach my friends and we'll be smokers, just like you! What do you say? But we want to smoke Virginia Slims 120s Gold Pack! Will that be OK? Can I have my first cigarette now? Please? P-L-E-A-S-E!"

6 and 7 for Sky. 8 and 15 for Amethylia.
thank you! always a pleasure to talk about my number two KOTOR gals
Amethylia Cypher
8: Describe one of your OC’s bad habits.
Amy’s a smoker. She picked up the habit way back during the Mandalorian Wars, and it stuck around even through the amnesia and her new identity being programmed into her by the Jedi Council. She’s normally pretty mild about it, usually ten a day, but she’ll burn through pack after pack whenever she’s stressed.
(Coincidentally, there was a lot of empty packs in the Ebon Hawk’s trash compactor after she found out she’s Revan, and Bastila was held hostage by Malak. Not a fun time for her.)
15: Your OC is given the chance to go back in time. Where do they go and what do they do?
She’d go back and find Malak before he fell to the Dark Side. Tell him to go back to the Council like Sky did and get away from her. Amethylia has a lot of regrets as Revan, but one of her biggest is corrupting her best friend and dragging him down with her. Sure, he probably would’ve been exiled like Sky was, but at least he’d still be himself and be alive.
Skysargas Starbrac
7: Describe your OC’s fashion sense.
Absolutely no Jedi robes, for one thing. They’re so… tasteless. Bland. Sky’s very feminine and enjoys skirts and dresses - if she can get away with a fancy gown and nice shoes, then she absolutely will, but if not then she’s content with a nice dress and some sturdy boots.
And for what it’s worth, I usually just imagine her in the light blue versions of Aerith Gainsborough’s clothes (since ngl, Aerith was an influence for her character when I was first playing KOTOR 2):
Tumblr media
(Note to self: commission her in the blue versions of those someday)
6: Describe your OC’s love life.
Under a cut now bc long description is long. :)
Sky’s had three big loves in her life - Atris, Atton, and Visas. (Sometimes I toy with the idea that she had a  relationship with either Revan or Malak during the Wars, but I haven’t liked either enough to stick to it yet.) She loved Atris once, but things never quite… happened… and she’s currently in polyamorous, communicative relationships with both Atton and Visas.
Atris was her best friend and confidante, once. She was actually the first friend that Sky had ever made upon joining the Jedi Order, when she was a still kind of spoiled little noble girl who didn’t want to leave home. She had mixed feelings about being a Jedi throughout all the years that she was one, but Atris was always the one thing that made it feel like home to her. Theirs was definitely that kind of childhood friend romance thing where you fall in love with your best friend when you get older, but neither of them ever really… spoke… those feelings out loud, so they always thought it was unrequited. They had plans to work for seats on the Council together, but everything fell apart spectacularly when Sky chose to follow Revan during the Mandalorian Wars. Things were said that neither could take back, they both resented the other’s decision, and Atris in particular was bitter over Sky’s decision. Sky wasn’t exactly expecting Atris to welcome her back to the Order with open arms when she went back to face the Council’s judgement, but seeing how much Atris seemed to hate her really did crush any lingering hopes she had of coming home again.
There’s an effort to make amends after KOTOR 2, though. It’s awkward and it’s messy, it takes a lot of patience, but they eventually reach that place where Atris and Sky are at peace with each other, and they can finally apologize for the things that they did over a decade ago.
Sky and Atton are kind of a weird match, on a surface level. He’s a rude scoundrel, she’s ladylike and a bit of a doormat. But they’ve got a deep respect for each other and a solid friendship; she absolutely meant it when she referred to him as one of her best friends once, and they’re always looking out for each other. They both began to fall for the other pretty early on (right away, in Atton’s case. Thank you, restored content mod), and flirted back and forth so much that something probably would’ve happened between them sooner if she hadn’t found out that there was something to hear about his past on Nar Shaddaa. But also, it’s a good thing she did? They’ve both done horrible, bloody things in the past, and they both hate themselves for it. But they can respect and accept the other, warts and all, and it kind of helps them start to care for themselves too. Even before they finally admitted how they felt, they were good influences on the other and important parts of their healing.
And with Visas, there’s just. Intense devotion and caring for the other. Love at first assassination attempt (I’m kidding. Kinda.)  Also kind of a weird couple on the surface, what with Visas being a dark ex-Sith and Sky being a plucky medic. Sky was drawn to Visas practically from the get-go, showing mercy to her in spite of her assassination attempt, and resolving to care for her and help her when she discovered just what, exactly, she had to go through under Nihilus’s thumb. She appreciates Visas’s support, but is the first to try and turn away that sense of self-sacrifice that she has, remind her that she matters. That she’s worthy of life and of being loved, whatever darkness she’s gone through in the past. And Visas kind of helps save Sky right back, because she’s the only other person to understand what it’s like to feel the death of a planet - and because she understands that the Exile, for all her efforts to help Visas, also hates herself. Both will remind the other that however dark things were, whatever the dark things you’ve done, you’re worth it. I feel these scars on you from your past, and I love you even if they make you hate yourself.
Sky’s still kind of amazed that she’s with both of them, because… how did I get so lucky to meet two people that I love so much I’d die for them? Or even scarier, live for them? They both mean the galaxy to her, and it hurts more than anything to leave them behind when it’s time to find Revan. If something happened to either of them because they followed, she couldn’t forgive herself, so it’s better to have them alive and hating you than dead and in love, right?
this may not have entirely answered the question, but… ah well lol

Return
4 years ago, I began an experiment on myself. For a year, from my 29th birthday to my 30th, I said I would eliminate alcohol and marijuana from my life.
I was unsuccessful. ...in the conventional sense. I cheated almost immediately, with a delicious but guilt-rimmed glass of Jameson. And continued to cheat and feel poorly about myself the entire year. But I did keep trying. And I succeeded in two separate full months and then some of sobriety.
Let’s be honest: This was no triumph. Turns out, going cold turkey on all of your addictions is super hard. It was also during this year that I became a true smoker. Essentially, I just filled the alcohol/weed well with tobacco.
What I did come away with from that year was a much more relaxed approach to weed. Before, running out of weed was like running out of toilet paper. Now it’s like running out of tissue paper.
Five years after casually picking up smoking cigarettes as a fun hobby (and subsequently becoming a pack a day smoker), I quit. It’s been 2 months now and that major act of will power has given me the confidence to try the Whole30. Partly for weight management, partly for alcohol management, completely for health management.
I just hope the new habit I will most certainly pick up to fill the well isn’t murder. I’m too pretty for prison.

Honest Review of the Pax 3 Handheld Portable Vaporizer by a Chronic Pain Patient
As a fairly recent convert to MMJ, it took me almost a year to lose my love affair with rolling a blunt and suffering the noxious smoke to medicate. Trying to subtly partake of much needed sweet leaf relief was a chore, dodging into the alley next to my home and trying to avoid the gaze of curious kids was proving stressful. It was more the image of their dad smoking than the substance itself, of giving them a bad mental image that allowed them to “smoke” was not good parenting. Plus I don’t want to feel like taking herbal medication is something to be ashamed of.
But a whole 12 months past before I got together the resources (saved!) to afford a decent pocket vape. My requirements were;
Discreet
Easy to use
Didn’t look too “druggy”
Did the job efficiently
Had accurate temperature control
I used to be a cigarette smoker, many moons ago but having never ‘vaped’ I was not sure what to expect.  I knew the device had to heat the dry herb to hit the off button on my considerable knee pain and I knew that three light-ish puffs on a ‘joint’ got the job done, albeit with that smokey aftertaste, aroma and fear that a neighbour may smell the err, medication.
So I did some research and decided that a Pax 3 was the ticket, I almost purchased an entry level eBay special but figured that £80+  could be totally wasted (ha!) and I should go with a reputable brand. After reviewing our various recommendations I went and bought a Pax 3 from a local supplier.
Shopping For a Dry Herb Vaporizer
Evapo is a vape shop in Guildford mostly given over to liquid non-MMJ vape-ware, vaporisers, liquids and accessories but there was one cabinet market “CBD” which, given this is the UK, was a subtle clue as to what the cabinet held. The choice was limited to a Pax 2 or a Pax 3. Given that I am an inveterate tech-head I opted for the app controlled Pax 3.
The salesman was a cheerful upbeat sort who talked discreetly but knowledgeably of the features/benefits and what a dry herb vaporizer did. Plus, Evapo had a 15% off deal that weekend which reduced the ticket price from £219.99 to £186.99. Seemed a bit steep for a first time vape purchase, I mean, what if I didn’t like it? What if I didn’t get the relief I am seeking? Hey ho, figured in the name of research it was worth the spend. Five minutes later I exited the proud owner of one spanking brand new Pax 3, and instructions on how to pair it up with the app, more on that in a moment.
Unboxing the Pax 3 Herb Vape
When I got home I opened the box, which is as stylish as the Pax 3 itself, very Apple design led. You slide the box out a sleeve, and it opens with a satisfying resistance provided by hidden magnets. I can see why they get the price they charge.
It contains charger & USB charge cable, cleaning materials (pipe cleaners and pipe brush), a keyring that doubles up as a scraper, an oven like compartment with a holder for concentrates and waxes, a second half-charge oven lid, raised silicon mouthpiece and a stitched material sleeve and of course the device itself. The enclosed documentation is quite slim on any actual operating instructions, but does give you the limited instructions in many different languages. Plus a safety booklet, again, bereft of any instructions but telling you of the many dangers a device like this can inflict.
Once released from its plastic coffin the device is pleasingly heavy in the hand. The heft gives it a solidity, again the comparison to Apple cannot be overstated. It’s solidly built up to a standard not down to a price.
I choose a matt black finish and thus with one click on the top of the mouthpiece, the LEDs stood out like runway landing lights. I set up the device to charge, it already had 3 of the 4 lights lit, and within 20 minutes the remaining light blinked on and we were good to go.
youtube
Pairing the Pax 3 With The App
By the time the charge had finished I was ready to pair the Android version of the app with the device and had gotten to the point where you shake it to pair it. Try as I might my Google Pixel 2 XL running Android Pie (9.0) was just not having any of it, tried different settings on the phone and despite the phone stating it was paired, the app itself refused to play ball. I am guessing this is a Android Pie bug, maybe? I had only installed Pie on the phone a few days earlier so I am guessing app bugs are a distinct possibility. Many of the reviews however also noted pairing difficulties, so perhaps not? Later I downloaded the iPhone iOS app onto my iPad and that not only paired without trouble it also controlled the device well.
First Use and Impressions
Anyway, to the first trial, my ‘herb’ was ground and packed into the oven chamber, it took a relatively little amount, I would say half a single skin joint. I thought this seemed like a very minor amount given that the device allowed for several hits on one fill, but I went along with it. Within a couple of minutes I was ready to go, with a fully charged Pax 3 that was now also fully charged with bud I hesitantly hit the ‘on’ button. The device heats quickly 20 – 30 seconds and the flashing purple LEDs turned green notifying me that the Pax 3 was ready to dose me.
I’d opted for the highest heat setting, I just felt that if I was going to try it then I should really give the Pax 3 a run for its money. I took a tentative first pull. The taste was not what I expected, a floral, greenery taste with a slightly timber smoke edge to it, not burning but that kind of smell you get in a wood on a hot day. I guess that’s the oils and the waxes boiling off their terpenes which give the bud its flavour profile. As the flavour died back and I exhaled it suddenly gave me a taste of coffee grinds, not full on coffee in your mouth but that half smell of roasting you get as you walk past a coffee house.
Very pleasant, very smooth and much nicer than a pull on a ‘Fatty-Boom-Batty’. The specific stock I was smoking is not overpoweringly strong, but does do the job for my pain. As an example I can take a single pull on a one-skinner and have it hit the off button on my knee pain for a couple of hours but leave me focused enough to answer calls, write code and function without the distraction of grinding bone on bone action. I took a second tentative pull, and then thought, screw it, and took two much longer, deeper pulls.
The Pax 3 vs Knee Pain
It was Saturday night and I was feeling like kicking back a bit so wasn’t concerned if I overshot the runway when it came to switching off the red flashing pain klaxon. As per usual the hits took time to kick in, with my usual method of ingestion it takes around 10 minutes for the meds to make their way into my brain and do what it does. Oh-so much better than the mechanised approach that codeine seems to take. Wrapping everything in cling film and preventing you from feeling pretty much anything but the ‘ready break’ glow (US readers Google it, you’ll see how accurate that actually is) that Codeine gives you.
I usually then go make a cuppa, and settle into the sofa with my better half and wait for the pain to roll back and relief to roll in. Well, the Pax 3 definitely delivers, I was starting to feel the effects inside the ten minutes, and all was good. Everything suddenly felt very good with the world, in a way that pain seems to rob you of. Pain adds jagged pixelations to your every move, thought and sensation. It’s like you’re dealing with low resolution images and trying to pass them as 4K cinemascope.
Codeine always took away the ‘jaggies’ but delivered a vaseline smeared lens perspective of the world. All soft focused and fuzzy edged, you felt like the world was a bouncy castle made of marshmallow. However the Pax 3, not only delivered the usual relief but somehow it felt less punchy, like the difference between a $20 bottle of bourbon vs $120 bottle of premium single malt scotch. You can see why the Pax 3 gets the reviews it does.
Controlling Dose with My Second Use
Lets just say 30 minutes later as I am lying on the sofa, totally baked, I tried to have a chat with my other half and ended up giggling away as she laughed at me, not with me. I remained quite lucid, but was just very relaxed by the whole body sedation which is not how my current supply usually hits. The effect lasted at least 4 hours, in fact I went to bed and slept soundly, I usually wake early, 6:30 or 7am, woken by the knee pain, but I overshot that by at least 2 hours. Woke feeling fresh although a little fuzzy but coffee and breakfast sorted that for me.
Therefore I wanted to avoid this with my second use, which was much more controlled, after a little bit of reading online. Just 2 short pulls and the device turned down to a less intense heat at 3 LED lights. I think this might be the sweet spot as the effects again took 5-10 mins to become very noticeable but there was much less of a body sedation, in fact I felt a clarity in my thinking and it just neutralised my pain.
Gone.
Not a trace.
Before medicating I would put the pain at a 3 on our pain chart, far from unbearable but definitely ’nagging’ and niggling at me. So the two hits were a good amount to kill the pain but not dull my entire brain. In fact I would now consider a single pull at 3 lights during a working day. Maybe.
Final Impressions and Overall View
I would give the Pax 3, 5 stars, but I have no other benchmark other than self-rolled all-weed blunts, joints and the occasional bong rip. I feel like I did when I upgraded to my first smart phone. Suddenly I had a computer in my hand and felt like I was ahead of the curve. The Pax 3 is very similar, having previously burnt a tube of rolled up dry herb I now have control and can set the temperature to the exact setting I want and get much more measured doses from my choice of pain meds. The only remaining variable of course is the plant material itself.
I suddenly see that devices like the Pax 3 are invaluable in allowing pain patients to get closer to a proper dosing regimen and if they feel like having a little more fun on a Saturday night, then at least it is a choice. That, for me, is what Cannabis should be about, the choice, the choice of your medication, the choice to choose your own safe pain meds. That it is your body and therefore making a choice of herbal remedy vs the output of an industrialised process, is your right.
I wish I had tried a vaporiser earlier, the Pax 3 is a very good product that does the job without fanfare, but does it stylishly and without announcing to the world you partake. The only small downside was that after I had fiddled about with it, trying to get it to sync with my Android phone, and then using it to heat my herb it got a little warm. Not uncomfortably, or dangerously, but it did warm noticeably, which given its function is not unreasonable, but it got a touch warmer than I thought it would. Put that down to user expectations perhaps, but one to consider. I am exploring a silicon sleeve for it, just to make it the perfect portable medical device.
youtube
The Pax 3 is a total winner and I am very pleased with the value for money and recommend it to you if you are considering using a vape. If you have pain, don’t leave home without it.

@grumblypants said: “I’ve found it very hard to quit. Nicotine replacement is the only thing that works for me when I attempt. Lozenges are less gross than the gum.”
This quit was way harder than I expected. I had already cut down a lot, usually only having 5 ± 2 cigarettes a day, and usually only after work. I broke those rules if I was dealing with exceptional stress/anxiety, or if I was at a bar, but overall it was a big improvement from my usual pack-a-day-plus. I thought cravings wouldn't be a big deal since I was already going like 18-20 hours without smoking each day. And I didn't think I had the same kind of psychological attachment to smoking as I had like seven years ago when I was really in the shit and chainsmoking everywhere all the time. (Wrong! Heh.)
I managed to get through this quit without using nicotine patches. I had got some just in case, but NRT is really iffy for me -- sometimes it helps, sometimes it seems to drag out the quitting process. I'm on day 5 now so all the nicotine is out of my body (I guess) and I'm just dealing with the mental aspect. I was a total shit all weekend. Profoundly depressed & full of existential dread. If I wasn't working on typing job, I was literally just staring out my office window, scowling. Picking fights with my dude because I felt like everything was terrible: specifically, "I hate my job, I hate living here, I'm probably never going to be a mother because I've fucked up my entire life, and I'm NEVER GOING TO BE AN ARTIST BECAUSE I HAVE TO WORK ALL THE TIME, ALL I EVER DO IS WORK! DOING SHIT I DON'T CARE ABOUT FOR PEOPLE I BARELY KNOW WHO DON'T PAY ME ENOUGH FOR MY INVALUABLE TIME WAHHHHH."
(Which, like, those are legit feels buuut I would rather channel that rage into ferocious determination towards ~my art~ as opposed to being an angry and hopeless blob that still goes to work every day.)
Anyway I was getting real concerned that I would have to choose between being a tolerable sort of person but going back to being a smoker vs quitting smoking and being a melancholic & hateful bitch for the rest of my life. When you're withdrawing, it doesn't matter what you know or tell yourself about the end-of-history illusion -- you still completely believe that the utterly shitty way you feel right now, in the midst of withdrawal, is the way you're going to feel f o r e v e r, your "True Self" perhaps. Then I read some thing on the internet ("how long will i feel depressed after quitting smoking") that explained in condescendingly basic terms that since nicotine produces an abundance of happy chemical in the brain, the brain overcompensates by producing more sad chemical to balance it out. So when you abruptly stop using nicotine, you have less happy chemical, but your brain is still producing extra sad chemical, so you get super depressed, and it takes a couple-few weeks for the brain chemicals to balance themselves out. I have no idea if that's true or accurate information but I'm gonna roll with it and assume that in a week or two I will no longer feel like I want to die.
