Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
as for the second sketch (which has two photos so you don't have hold you device upside down LOL) I had the idea of secret life grian and (SL)watcher grian! a reverse, mwahaha... I really only meant to draw the crowly one, and didnt think I had the energy for more... but brain rot!! it is so strong!!
so of course after that I finally rectified my lack of clothes design for watcher grian lol... now i have to draw a SL design too!! eventually... eventually... I didnt make a note of it, but I think he just... wouldn't wear shoes LOL... watcher grian, I mean. let those lil talon feeties free, or whatever pffft...
week one, two, three, four and 5.1s posts!!
I'll only list the prompts I used that day, but here's the key for acronyms n such;

hc = hermitcraft (I have 2!)
ink = official inktober
gore = goretober
(actual gore will be triggerwarned! so far none has any blood or violence!)
Oh boy- okay! so I swear I didn't forget, its just that art block came and smacked me in the face for a short period. Thankfully I came out of it with two drawings I really love!! And some pretty good doodles too, haha...
I do think I still want to do a weekly novelember drabble... and of course a related drawing. we'll see! check in on sunday! i wont just disappear now that inktober is over!!
but also, maybe come back tomorrow if you're interested in a certain very tall persons birthday. yknow, the one with a new vtuber model! yeah! them! /silly
(Im talking about Ranboo, haha!! Im hoping to finish a drawing for their birthday tomorrow!!)
Thanks again for all the support!! 💜

Day 1 - Red ❤️
"You have no idea what loss is." - Joel Miller (The Last of Us)
Iiiiiiit's that time again!!!! I'm so excited to do Inktober/Pedrotober!!! I don't know how much I'll be able to do this year - we'll just have to wait & see!! This year I'm gonna move away from the official Inktober prompt list & do the "Pedrotober 2023" list from @morguedesign on Instagram. (It looks really fun - I'm super intrigued).
For the weekly prompts (red, yellow, green, blue, purple), I wanted to draw a Pedro Boy showing a specific emotion - to showcase the range that Pedro has as an actor. (Red for anger, yellow for happiness, etc.). Here's Joel Miller completely red with anger. 😡 I hope you all have a good time completing all of your challenges (if you're doing one this month). <3 <3 <3
Happy October Everyone!!!!!

Inktober Day 1: Autumn
“Falling Leaves”
I’m doing a twice-weekly (more or less) Inktober thing with my own prompts. The theme for this one is Autumn and I based this on the cover of Heize’s EP, “Late Autumn.” I wanted to encapsulate the feeling of change, something that is altered in a way that is so unfamiliar. I also wanted to compare it to repetition, seen in the inevitable coming of Autumn annually. Overall, the theme for this is a repetitive/inevitable change.
Some notes:
-This is the first time I’ve drawn my sona and faces like this!! More detail than I’m used to
-The lines are inspired by manga/traditional inking techniques to get a more natural feel
-The grain is something taken from the album covered I referenced, I like it because it makes the piece look a bit more interesting
-The necklace was replaced with a new moon, symbolizing an emotional darkness

Weekly Update December 15, 2023
Finals week is done. I’m still worried about the one class but I’ve done everything I can. Next week I have some doctor appointments but otherwise am good to rest up and hopefully get more work done. I have tonight and tomorrow morning also before I have to do a long drive, so maybe I’ll finish off some other projects.
TRGA: 1-4 Tim’s tweens are done, and I have what I think is a faster strategy for tweens now as well, so all that should be moving faster. I just need to do Tim’s face and clean up his joints and he should be good for the shot, I can make and add in props and I’ll post the wip. I’m planning to do backgrounds all in one go at the end so they stay consistent from shot to shot, and sketch lines as well. I’ll probably do some of the more tedious work (exporting and reimporting sketch lines, and cleanup) in the evenings and the more brain intensive work like props during real free time.
Still chipping away at late drawing prompts. I got the rest of the Inktober set sketched, I’m nearing the ‘easy’ prompts for the cringe set, and the gore set I just haven’t had motivation for but I can maybe try to finish that one off in the next few days. Also haven’t gotten comic thumbnail stuff done since like 2 weeks ago but I might get cracking at that in the car ride tomorrow, or definitely after, there’s a lot more interest in my OCs than I thought so I really should be prioritizing that higher.
Music: real close on the one song, and recorded pieces for a piano arrangement of another thing. I wanted to doll it up with real instruments, and maybe I still will but I can also do a just piano version and throw that out. The main original I’m working on is close to done instrumentally, I was going to record the breakdown tonight but I’m a bit tired because I decided to do some chores, so maybe it’ll be tomorrow or maybe I will do it tonight. Also started poking around Melodies for a second song before realizing my retro sound chip plug-in set is a pain in the neck and will only play one note at a time so I need like 5 or 6 layers to do what I want and also the gameboy chip has hella delay for some reason. Not unfixable but annoying. Theoretically I should be moving to a new computer soonish so maybe I can try out some voice synths for the main song I’m working on since I don’t think I can sing.
I’m kinda hitting that tiredness wall but I should hopefully be able to get some rest in the coming week, get some stuff together to post, and be nice and ready. I should also mention I have a surgery coming up too which should take me out of commission for some time, idk how long, doesn’t sound very long though, at least not as long as the last one. That’s not until the week of christmas though so I should still be good to do stuff until then. Maybe I’ll draw tonight, maybe I won’t since it’s already late. I’ve been getting weird bouts of restlessness where I just decide to do a bunch of things at once, but I think I already got one when I decided to do chores. Oh well always tomorrow.

DAY 3!! ALTERED
I will be swapping around from this to inktober and suptober throughout the month but at the moment I'm obsessed with the dsytoper prompt list.
It's helping me learn more about my ocs and push my limits. Somthing I like to do with October prompts is use a brush or art supply I havnt used or have little practice in.
I messed around with a chalk pastel brush for this one!
Tumblr media
Project Bird Cage as a whole has always been to answer the question " Can the environments change how a bond forms within Moon children and if so is it possible to control said bond?". We belive our finding not only answer this question but also help us understand more about the anomalousplanetoids (or moon) gene.
It's very rare to find a Moon Child who has a physical attribute as their bond, however in cases ,such as Damian Crow , it is easy to manipulate the gene into forming as one. The boy was mostly left to his own devices inside the experiment area, other than the bi-weekly checkup the higher-up had us do, within this time the only contact he had with the outside world was his birds.
As a team we slowly "manipulated" and forced the gene into the same high risk situation repetitively in hopes to coherse it to form as we wanted. We where successful in this process and managed to get the gene to grow two giant black wing from Subject Crows back. This Is a giant discovery and will hopefully bring us a huge step forward in our search-

@ Community Question: **cracks knuckles** ...!!! QAQ **whines!!**
Ok! First things first: If it wasn't for Wyngro, I wouldn't be the artist I am today and wouldn't have met all my wonderful friends and community (Love every single one of you, nerds!)
1- Wyngro pushed me out of my comfort-zone: Before Wyngro, I would rather die than draw backgrounds, specially detailed. Wyngro pushed me to do so because my greed is to great and wanted those wyns, it was... an experience. A good one!
2- Weekly Prompts and Character Interactions: There was always something to do in the group. Even if you could do whatever you want, people like me need to be told what to do in a sense. For example, I would never draw my wyngro with a puckoo unless I was told to, so Im grateful for the engaging prompts
3- Experiment with more types of art: No group has made me do crafts, animation, color palette challenges, inktober, etc. Wyngro was the first. Not gonna lie; Im lazy and was frustrating having to unlock upgrades behind said crafts, but when I was done, even if they didnt look as good; I was hella proud of what I did.
4- The Lore, Magic and Quests: Even if the group has many unfinished stories, I cant deny it's lore is very interesting and fun to explore (if only I was also consistent and diligent when it came to make stories...). Independent Magic was one of my favorite things, until I turn it into a grind OTL. The quests are also fun, if you dont mind making detailed stories or chapters out of them.
5- Engaging Events: Love it how some of the events' endings depended on the community's choices, makes things more important and working as a team with the other members fun. Still laughing at the last warptide, that was wild!
So yeah... Wyngro has it's bad things but I will never deny the goods it has. Even if Im not part of it anymore, I will always treasure my time there and all the art and characters I made.

Trektober/Spocktober 2023!
Fuck it, I've decided to tackle a -tober drawing challenge for the first time in 4 years! I'm gonna be doing a combo of Trektober (Star Trek themed prompts) and Spocktober (Spock every day!), since my brain is on Star Trek lockdown atm.
In previous years, I've gotten about a week in and given up. I tried the official Inktober (2017 prompt list) in September 2018, then actual Inktober in 2018, then also in 2019, and the farthest I got was day 8 (Sept. 2018). I think my failure was due to being like "Yeah I'll just draw whatever strikes me each day, it's cool if I paint or use markers or--" and getting completely overwhelmed.
So, this year, I am setting some guidelines for myself:
Only inks. Literally just pen and ink. Nothing else.
Well, I'm allowed to do pencil undersketches. But those are only allowed to take 15 minutes, and the inking is only allowed to take 15 minutes, for a total of 30 minutes for each prompt (that way if I fall behind it shouldn't take too long to catch up... I hope...)
Thumbnailing ideas in advance. Takes the pressure off of sketching!
Set page size and notebook: all of these are gonna be A5 and in my main multimedia sketchbook so that if I want to paint them later I can
Post once weekly. In previous years I was trying to post every day, which was stressful and irritating, so instead I'm gonna post them in batches of seven. Or maybe four, actually. Uhhhh. We'll see??
EDIT:
The time limit is not happening, we're just going on vibes
I'm gonna post daily instead but with a delay so I can queue posts in advance
My main goals this October are:
To have fun :3
To get used to finishing drawings
To get used to posting them, too!
To have fun :3
To improve my sketching and lineart skills
To end up with a bunch of finished drawings (of Spock!!!) :3
To let go of a bit of my perfectionism
TO HAVE FUN :3
If this goes to shit and I don't get it all done, I'm still gonna be happy I tried. This is a warning to future me. Don't be a dick.

Calling all Les Mis content creators! (Including but not limited to traditional artists, digital artists, writers, cosplayers, mood-boardists, podcasters, glass blowers and pottery enthusiasts.)
The above list is a Les-Mis specific alternative to Inktober this year (courtesy of the recent controversy and me not wanting to engage with any avoidable drama where possible). Huge thanks to everyone that sent prompts in!
Please see below the cut for the basic breakdown of how to participate!
The 31 prompts correlate to the days of October. You can elect to tackle one prompt per day, one every other day, one per week, or just pick one or two for the whole of the month - whatever suits your time, energy, and enjoyment levels. This challenge is meant to encourage you to develop a consistent creative habit, not to overwhelm you to the point that you don’t make anything for the two months after completing it.
While the Official Inktober leans heavily towards traditional inking artists, I would like this to be a much more inclusive challenge for all walks of creatives.
If you are a visual artist and want to challenge yourself to create 31 polished pieces by the end of October, that’s great. If you wanna just do a quick doodle three times a week, that’s also very great!
If you’re a writer, you could post short ficlets or poems - or smash out an entire prompt-filled fic!
Cosplayers, you might choose to photograph yourself as a different character each prompt or pick one character to do a weekly vlog (in canon era, modern era, or a space-cowboy AU, it’s up to you!)
The idea is to have a fun, creative month. I think we deserve it.
The one rule I encourage you to follow is that pieces relate back to Les Miserables in some way, be it the Brick, the Musical, the Miniseries, the Anime, one of your favourite fanfics, or just a personal headcanon you have about a character or scene.
Post your pieces on the day they correlate to (or mix it up to make an order that suits your groove, you do you boo) and share them wherever you feel comfortable (even if that just means treating your close friends to a peak at your brilliance!)
If you’re posting here feel free to use the hashtags #The Miserables Month or #TheMiserablesMonth to make it easy to see what everyone’s doing!
If this challenge gets a decent amount of participants, I’ll make a side blog dedicated to reblogging all of the posts so that they’re easy to find in the future (looking at you, Tumblr search function).
A Final Note: This list is up a month early to allow for you to do some pre-planning. I encourage everyone who is looking to participate to at least ponder on what you might do for the prompt/s you will be tackling. If you want to have full sketches / scripts / brainstorm docs done beforehand, that is totally fine. There is no way to “cheat” here: if planning now will help ease stress levels later, I wholeheartedly encourage it.
If you have any questions please reach out! I will endeavour to answer as promptly as I can!
Here is the typed list of prompts, if that’s an easier format for ya’ll:
1. Last 2. Scorch 3. Quiet 4. Sea 5. Metallic 6. Riches 7. Crew 8. Fly 9. Strength 10. Crisp 11. Desperate 12. Shadow 13. Repair 14. Disguise 15. Wish 16. Intrepid 17. Cat 18. Adventure 19. Fold 20. Boot 21. Bloom 22. Leaf 23. Threadbare 24. Crush 25. Sing 26. Far 27. Light 28. Bare 29. Time 30. Flag 31. Future

Alrighty! Sounds like folks are most interested in a prompt list for October!!
In that case, please feel free to send me your prompt ideas!! They can be anything, just words or phrases that you think might make nice ph and/or vnc prompts!! Bonus points if they’re Halloween-y!! (You can offer them in the replies or a reblog, in an ask, or message me at @i-prefer-the-term-antihero. Im just not able to receive dms on this blog).
I can come up with the prompts myself but I thought I’d give folks a chance to weigh in on what prompts you’d like, if anyone wants to!!
Questions:
Would you guys like to have separate lists for ph and vnc, or one for both?
I think a number of new people have probably joined the vnc fandom since the anime began, who aren’t familiar with ph, and who might better see the list, and be more inclined to participate, if they’re separate. So for that reason I’m inclined to do two. But I’ve always kind of made events that combine both series in the past here, and I don’t know if the majority of people would prefer to have just one list, and pick if they want to use the prompt for ph or vnc.
Would you guys like to have weekly prompts in addition to the daily prompts?
Personally I prefer daily prompts, so I’ll probably do that either way. But some inktober lists have weekly prompts and, if you want, it could potentially be fun to have some different weekly prompts? Like the weekly prompts could be things like “Costume Party” or “Vampire AU” whereas the daily prompts would be like “Moon” or “Pumpkin.” I dunno, just a thought.
So…yeah! Let me know if you have any thoughts!!

decided to try to actually do inktober this year using @buttonso's weekly stardew valley prompts. october 1-7: stardew valley fair
mid-fall, year three The fair had drawn a larger crowd than any year Harvey could remember. Lewis’s tireless efforts to attract tourism to the town had paid off more grandly than anyone had anticipated. The square and side streets were overrun with blinking lights and colorful tents, vendors, games, and whirling rides. The air was alive with laughter and delighted squeals, the sticky-sweet scent of fried dough and spun sugar swirling with barbecue smoke. Harvey hadn’t cared much for the fair at its smallest. But with Peach’s fingers laced through his, even this wasn’t so bad.
She led him through the crowd, turning from time to time to check on him. Her cheeks were wind-bitten and rosy, dozens of points of blinking light dancing in her smiling eyes. Harvey grinned back, warm confidence bubbling in his chest. He couldn’t help but get a bit caught up in the excitement of the afternoon.
When Lewis placed a second-place ribbon beside Peach’s grange display, she’d reacted first in excited bewilderment and then horror when she realized it meant Marnie had placed third. She’d nearly cried when Marnie swept her and Shane into a congratulatory hug. Emily had thrust a bottle of icy pumpkin ale (and one can of seltzer water) into their hands, spiraling into a long and elaborate toast to her friends’ hard work. Harvey finished his drink a bit faster than he ought to, but he hadn’t wanted to risk dropping the glass on such a crowded walkway. Perhaps that was what led him to pull her aside. To suggest they do this.
Harvey gritted his teeth as the metal bench below them wobbled. Of all the rides, the Ferris wheel seemed the least likely to give him motion sickness, and it looked sturdier than the other options, with fewer moving parts. He hadn’t considered the ride had to stop to load new riders, which sent their seat rocking back and forth with nothing more than a thin metal bar to hold them in. From the ground, the top hadn’t seemed so high, but only halfway up, he’d had to close his eyes.
“Harvey,” Peach said. “My hand—”
“I’m so sorry,” he sputtered, releasing his grip. The outline of his fingers remained on the back of her hand. “Are you alright?”
“Are you?” she said gently.
“I don’t know,” he admitted, face warm against the chilly evening air.
“Do you want me to ask them to let us off?”
“No.” Harvey found her eyes. “I— I want to do this with you. I—” His eyes snapped shut when they moved again, stopping one position nearer to the top. He pulled in a breath through his nose. “I’m sorry.”
“What for? You haven’t—”
“I thought I could do this.” The words left him in half a laugh, and he opened his eyes. When he focused on her, he didn’t feel so unsteady. A breath of breeze ruffled their hair on its way past. “I thought if I was with you— you’re so adventurous and unpredictable,” he trailed off, aware he was babbling, failing to put his feelings into words. That the height scared him half as much as boring her, or worse, embarrassing her.
“You think I’m adventurous and unpredictable?”
“I’d say it’s a fair description.”
“How?” the word bubbled out of her in a laugh.
“What kind of person moves to a nowhere town on a whim to try out an entirely new profession?”
“A very broke someone who found out they wouldn’t have to pay rent anymore,” she said, curling her arm around his when the wheel began to turn again. “And you did basically the same thing.”
“I was a doctor before I lived here. And no stranger to immense debt,” he added.
“Just gonna ignore the scariest part? It’s not like you didn’t have to figure out a new life in a new place too.”
“In my case,” he started, taking a breath and choosing his words. “I guess I always thought starting over was the cowardly option. At least, that’s how some of the people I left behind saw it.”
“Do you still think that?”
“I guess— it doesn’t matter,” Harvey concluded, pulling his arm free so he could wrap it around and pull her close. “I think I ended up where I’m supposed to be. With you. In this incandescent death trap.”
Peach was still laughing when his lips met hers. When she raised a hand to hold him there a little longer, his stomach swooped. It had nothing to do with the turning wheel.

"Candlelight"
Watercolor pencils and chalk pastels on paper
I've wanted to draw something like this for quite a few months! I'm not used to lighting like this, but I wanted to try it!!
I made a weekly October art challenge to force myself to draw, including it below:
Tumblr media
There. I'd be honoured if anyone else joined in, even took one of the prompts as an idea for a drawing. Following the order is not important either,I just did it for myself.
I participated in 2 inktobers before, and enjoyed them thoroughly. It was hectic but I learned a lot about drawing with ink. Now that I've put inktober behind me, both because of what the creator did and because, wel, I'm too busy to draw daily,I wanted to participate in something else this year. There are many many good lists by different artists, but I felt it'd be wrong to use their hashtags if I don't do too many, and worse,if I don't even follow the prompts (even in inktober, I'd never follow the list, I'd just do whatever I wanted). So I made mine,and.. HOPEFULLY I'll do 5 pieces this October!
P.s. the last one is Hex, but I guess it does look like Flex too, so use whichever you want if you join in

Wonder if I should do some kind of art challenge thingy next month. Not like I have time or spoons for daily art, but, like, some kind of excuse to wag pencils every once in a while. Maybe weekly or every-other-day-ly?
Kinda like inktober, but not actually inktober now that that one's trademarked now but
I want an excuse/prompts/ideas to doodle. Want to keep the art juices flowing!

Weekly update December 1, 2023
Today was awful. The rest of the week has been fine. The awful was because of medical stuff. I’m still having fatigue, and I have an absolute ton of homework this weekend so good chance I won’t get much done in the way of art, but finals week is coming up which should free up my schedule a good amount.
At the beginning of the week I got a bunch more late inktober drawings finished up. I still need to keep powering through the rest of the prompts but it’s fine I’m not that worried. It’ll be later this week if I can manage anything but I’ll keep trying.
TRGA has been slow due to exhaustion. I have all but one keyframe on Tim 1-4 done, and the tweens shouldn’t be too hard. I don’t want to mess with props but if I have to I have to. I was messing a bunch with computer stuff this week, and after effects is looking pretty nice for future animations, but for the one we’re on I won’t mess with it if I don’t have to.
Music: I definitely need to redo the verse melody I did last week, it doesn’t fit the song at all. Got a bridge melody done that works great though. Also got a bunch of other plugins and VSTs working so I have an idea for the next original song I could get working on (which should be instrumental so I won’t need to hold off because of vocals). I could also try my hand at covers, since they would theoretically move a lot faster. I think this upcoming week I’m going to prioritize animation above music if I can, I’ll try to just spend like one day on music for a good block of time, and the rest on those tween frames or reimporting stuff.
I’m a bit worried about computer stuff, since good chance I will have to move to a new one soon, which should be great for music plugins and after effects stuff should I chose to mess with that, but will be a pain in the neck to move my slew of clip studio brushes. I’ll try to make a nice list of all the sets I have downloaded throughout the week, in order to make the process easier on myself, but it will take a while.
Last thing, I’ve finally stopped procrastinating on that comic idea I’ve had, and have started thumbnailing a comic pitch for the O’Malley Foster Home. At the present it’s just planned to be a pitch, as I would prefer it to become an animated webseries to a webcomic, but it would still be good to get some ideas out of my head, since people seem curious about my OCs, but I don’t want to infodump unprompted, and it leads to some things getting misinterpreted (I’ve seen Mikey referred to as ‘goth’ even though he’s moreso meant to be punk, and a drawing of him got reblogged by a demon themed account today because of that drawing I did of him pretending to be a demon. I also have a mutual who I think thinks that Jack is a vampire because he has a bat motif in his design, even though he really just likes bats), so them having some public lore would hopefully clarify things. Still not sure if I will or should do a pitch for Backstage as well once that is done, but that doesn’t matter until it’s done anyway. It’s a nice smaller project to do during lecture perhaps, so it’ll be fine.
Lots of stuff this week. I am still bleeding from the doctor this morning and also tired af so I’m going right to bed after posting this, tomorrow I will do homework, and maybe look over some tutorials for after effects or music stuff while I donate plasma tomorrow.
