Alright buckle up here's my actual genuine reaction....

First episode:

First of all, I regret asking for more Hemlock, this was fantastically awful, I will not be recovering.

Second of all, that shaved clone has done things to me. Horrible, horrid things that made me actually pause it and look away. It made me physically ill, it was the worst. Great, but the worst.

The passage of time really did fucking get to me BUT HER LITTLE PONYTAIL UGH

I literally don't care that she was allowed to keep the doll, btw. I dont give a shit. I hope Emerie dies in a fire.

I think the whole episode was just pure horror, it was so fucking disgusting to watch, idk about you guys but watching the clone who had probably faced the true horror of SCI-FI warfare crying alone in his cell genuinely had me pausing the episode. Really great work there, Jennifer, I will be billing you for my therapy

Crosshair and Omega bonding !!! The little "What's your mission objective" was definitely a tactic he used on his brothers to have them pay attention, I refuse to acknowledge that he's the youngest, he just isn't. That's big brother keeping his little brother(s) on task behaviour.

Everything about Hemlock gave me chills. I love him. I hate him. I hope his guts cover the screen. I am fascinated by him.

I had a sneaking suspicion Emerie was taken under Hemlock's wing, and her undoing will be her endless loyalty to him... they did not have to say it as obviously as that, though. Glad they did.

Crosshair is sick. There is no way you show us all these sick, dying clones then Crosshair and expect us not to figure that out. He's going to die. His shaking is just the first symptom. I am not ready.

I definitely have more smaller notes I will make once I am not sobbing hysterically about it !!!!

Episode two!!:

This is the one that made me cry, actually.

Watching Wrecker and Hunter march in, quiet and covered in countless injuries, made me so sad. I couldnt recognise them. Those aren't my lads.

Wrecker begging hunter not to go because people didn't make it back.... hunter I get you're desperate, but you will NOT survive another brother being killed. I can't bear to watch him tear himself apart and neither can Wrecker.

WEEPED LIKE AN ACTUAL BABY WHEN I SAW THOSE CLONE BABIES.... THEYRE TOO YOUNG.

"99ers???" THERES FUCKING MORE ??????? I want to know the lore behind this line particularly.

this is flameweaver, he was the son of a skywing queen who sought out and had babies w an animus nightwing in order to have a cool animus son to raise in secret and protect her from attacks from her daughters. he is found and the queen is confronted about it so she kicks him out (actually she orders her guards to kill him but tomato tomahto) in order to keep better political standing ((OLD ART BTW.))

he flees to the rainforest where he kidnaps a rainwing he catches spying on him, drumroll pleeeease

GECKOOOOoooooo son of the rainwing queen cuz they both had to be princes i guess. at first flame kidnaps gecko because he was afraid hed turn him into the skywings, then he kept gecko around because he thought his scale camouflage and venom could be useful. but the two actually end up making great friends (until things go bad but ill spare you the longass infodump lmao)

i want to talk about two more guys that i made more recently but have less to say about (and no coloured art of one of them)

geode the icewing and swift the skywing! the story takes place before the skywings were killing their animus babies, swift is one and uses his power to make funny little living wooden dolls. this horrifies geode, the icewings have more knowledge of animus magic and have already been making gifts for generations so seeing a dragon just use his power willy-nilly is mortifying

shocked that i have no art of swifts little wooden dolls. theyre super cute i promise lmao

consider: an au where mo ran and chu wanning are idols, popular enough to have merch, where mr whos had a crush on his chu-qianbei for ages buys his plush and likes to pose his and cwns plushies like theyre kissing

literally i always love when charas make plushies of them and their crush/s/o kiss and thats the only reason theyre idols but since im already in this direction. cwn’s like an older generation idol who retired a little before mr became a trainee and ended up as his mentor

mr had always been a fan of cwn since he was younger and had saved up so much of his allowance to splurge on his merch back when he was popular, and his most prized possession is a cute plushie of his idol with a onesie that has cat ears on it…

(mr learns to sew so he can dress the plushie in a lot of different clothing, and if some of them were things like maid outfits and sailor uniforms, then that was between him and god LMAO)

anyway when cwn becomes his mentor he is SO FUCKING STARSTRUCK.. but he becomes so endeared by cwn’s cold yet kind personality and quickly falls in love. this is 0.25 mr all the way, i think hes so cute~

later on mr becomes a very successful and popular idol, initially debuting w his cousin xue meng and friend shi mingjing to become san-sisheng (yes 三) but goes solo eventually and as a result of all his popularity too, gets plushie merch.

and mr, despite never really caring much about his merch before, other than if it included his husky motifs and appropriate colours, was super involved in the design and worked very hard to make the design look like it was from a similar style to cwn’s

(i mean he doesnt TELL them he wants it to be in that kind of style but when they brought it up he insisted he was picky abt plushie styles and wanted it to be like the cwn plushie, which he saw before and thought was especially cute in its style! the knowing gaze xue meng sent him throughout that meeting felt like a hot laser lol.. meanwhile mr internally was thinking about how to make a husky onesie for this plush so it can match the cwn one he had)

anyway mr hasnt been subtle about liking cwn this whole time but cwn’s always thought that it was just him as an idol that mr was infatuated with, which he was fine with anyway.

so imagine his surprise when one day he is at the xues’ house and when he knocks on mr’s door and opens it to tell him dinner is ready, he sees his doll next to mr’s in wedding outfits, red robes and all...

(thanks for the insp trip but cwn also happens to have these plushies actually.. tho he just keeps them on a shelf standing next to each other :3 he also has all of mo ran's merch, but also xue meng and shi mei's (tho not as extensively as mr) bc those r his precious mentees!!

mr has like SEVERAL itabags of cwn merch too btw. they r the very hardcore 40 sets of the same badge types (and probably limited edition too) literally filled to the brim, bc once mr got richer as an idol he spent so much free time scouring auction sites for old cwn merch

ALSO once they get together and all. depending on whose house they move into (probably cwn's once mr cleans it up), mr buys and keeps a dollhouse at the side of the room where he'll always change the poses and outfits of their plushies and make them all domestic and shit

HE PROBABLY HAS AN SNS ACCOUNT FOR IT BTW... also im a big fan of idol aus where they are a bigname shipper for their own cp. and so he is like this famous cwn fan+ranwan shipper who posts cute pics of his ranwan dolls doing things all the time (sometimes cute, sometimes lewd)

one day on mr's official sns he takes a selfie in his room and some fans spot a familiar looking dollhouse in the bg... and are like hold the fuck up? what r the chances mr plays with dolls.

and to make it more convenient, mr repainted and customized the house to be like cwn and his dream house that their plushies live in... so its very suspicious mo ran has it... hmm 👁️

also im thinking they havent announced their relationship yet, because mr is at the peak of his popularity and cwn doesn't want him to be at the brunt of angry fangirls thinking he was stolen away, but lol. mr eventually announces on his sns that he IS the cwn+ranwan stan

and then xm and sm are like "yeah u've always been insane abt cwn... biggest cwn stan we knew" and the fans r like oh okay thats crazy. and then after that mr tops it off with "ALSO cwn and i are dating!!! so ranwan real <3" and the internet explodes

can you tell i like entertainment au danmei yet? but anyway things go fine in the end, cwn and mr eventually get married the same way their plushies did (mo ran voice: art imitates life <3) and he doesn't ever stop posting plushie pics. ~happy end~

ALSO ALSO considering how often ppl just make fanmerch themselves too. mr def has every single one of cwn. (he only gets himself too if they are a set together) and in mr’s cwn shrine there is an entire section full of pouty kitty cwns 😾

first of all im just like obsessed with these looks but like. i admit it the big acrylic nails that the shadow high line introduced with the storm twins (which i do have in my collection btw!) are lovely, i know a lot of people dont like them but i think theyre very unique for a doll line like this. i will also admit that the big draw of this pack To Me is sunny. sunny is one of my FAVORITE rainbow high characters, her looks do not miss, but i dont have a single doll of her because i just cant find any??? and like this is one of my favorite of sunny's dolls so far, shes lovely and so cute and i love her purse and her dress and her socks and her whole fit <3 and i also DO really love luna's look in this pack!!! i admit luna's basic doll wasnt very interesting to me because Its Just Sunny Again but this one actually shows off her personality when compared to her sister! and i do genuinely love luna's general aesthetic, its just her basic doll that wasn't doing it for me. theyre also junior high dolls if im not wrong, which would be cool to have since i dont have any junior high dolls currently (mostly because none of the ones i see out in the stores interest me all that much)! theres also the aspect of luna being one of the shadow high dolls that is fully grayscale, unlike the two ones that i currently have - dont get me wrong i LOVE veronica and naomi but i love the grayscale look of the wave 1 shadow high dolls and this luna just like fully utilizes that and i love herrrr <3

yzaaaa 😭 jackson's coming to my country HSJSSKJDKSDJFJDLEJJSJS like this is the first time ever one of my ults is actually going to be in my country </3 ( as far as kpop concerts/gigs go, only kard and vav have performed here if i remember it correctly ). anyway but i'm not going hdjsksks it's not being held in my state, like i could travel but it's lolla event, combined with all other western artists . i had a fun time during the diwali festival holidays here <3 finally got around to watching a wong kar wai movie, chungking express bc my friend said they also wanted to watch it, we both were ready to become sad ( like yes movie is sad and lonely) but all we did throughout the movie was laugh 😭 idk why watching sad media with someone ends up becoming comedic to me, we both were more interested in first half of it rather than second one.

omg!!! thank you!! no ones asked me before but this is rlly sweet :’) i dont have a ton of headcanons abt vergil being trans BUT ill give you what i have. mostly i just say hes trans bc i am and it makes me feel good when i think about my fav character being trans :)

ok so first off! vergil is a trans dude, dante is a cis guy. so they’re not identical twins (born from the same egg that split) but theyre still twins!! i think vergil knew he was a boy since he was a kid. spardas a demon so i think as soon as vergil told sparda he was like hell yeah little dude!!! idek what a gender binary is bro!!! and you know eva is an angel and wouldve been 100% supportive all the way. plus i think dante wouldve been fucking psyched to have a brother to have sword fights with instead of a DUMB SISTER who wants to PLAY DOLLS etc etc so everyone was super accepting and it was good.

vergil has taken hormones, and had top surgery but not bottom surgery. especially in those years where dante and vergil were off doing their own things and coping with their mothers death i personally think it wouldve given vergil a lot of strength to reaffirm his identity by taking those steps, though of course not right away (since i guess they were kids??? idk how they survived on their own being like 8 years old but word i guess). it was probably in his late teens once he had started on his whole “i need to be powerful so i dont suffer a loss like this again” thing, not TOO long before he and dante saw each other again in dmc3.

if anyone tries to come at me asking “bhut how did nero come about if vergils trans???” i dont know and i dont care. theyre demons dude. make something up if you need it but i dont need an explanation. vergil is neros dad and thats that!
