Repost from @jewishvoiceforpeace
We are compelled to name this out loud: This year, when we gather for our Passover seders, we will be doing so while a genocide is being inflicted on Palestinians in Gaza, by a state that purports to act in the name of the Jewish people.
This year, our seders will be different. The anti-Zionist synagogue @tzedekchicago’s 5784 Passover Haggadah offers some framing:
● If we fail to give the Palestinian people a voice at our table this evening, we will not have fulfilled the requirements of the Passover seder…
● If our Passover festival focuses exclusively on Jewish trauma – and not on the ways our trauma is being weaponized to oppress another people, we will not have fulfilled the requirements of the Passover seder…
● If we read the Passover story as a story of Jewish liberation alone or - God forbid - Jewish liberation at the expense of others, we will not have fulfilled the requirements of the Passover seder…
● If we celebrate this festival by hardening our hearts to the horrifying stories and images from Gaza that have been crying out to us for the past seven months, we will not have fulfilled the requirements of the Passover seder…
● If our gathering does not motivate us to do everything in our power to end the genocidal violence Israel is unleashing upon Gaza, we will not have fulfilled the requirements of the Passover seder.
One way to stand with Palestinians in Gaza at your seder is to take a pledge in place of the Passover feast (Shulchan Orech). Instead of eating the festive meal, consider fulfilling Shulchan Orech by taking the following actions:
● DONATE the amount that would have been spent on food to UNRWA;
● DEMAND that the Biden administration refund UNRWA.
●CALL ON the Biden administration to facilitate a permanent ceasefire in Gaza now.

I finally updated Subsidence, my latest TMNT 2003 fanfic! The chapter focuses on Casey and April this time, who are trying to find the turtles before disaster.
If you want, check the link above to check it out :)
It’s about the four brothers getting trapped in a sewer tunnel collapse because I love angst too much, everyone needs a hug at all times but I refuse to give them one.

The Israeli army is just shooting anyone they think is Palestinian, much the same way that Israel is indiscriminately bombing all of Gaza, including the “safe zones” where they have directed noncombatant civilians to go right before they bomb them anyway. It’s war crimes, plain and simple.

can't help but think about the trans palestinians who are excluded by the constant use of phrases like "men and women" and "boys and girls." so here's to remembering them. to every palestinian with neglected gynecological issues who isn't a woman or girl. to every nonbinary person who's fallen. to everyone who's lost access to their hormones, who wasn't able to get their gender affirming surgeries - intersex palestinians, too. to every unidentified trans person and every trans person who never got to be their true selves. to all of them, the martyred, and those still struggling just to survive. free palestine - trans and intersex palestinians included.

“I saw In Auschwitz that if a dominant group wants to dehumanise others, as the Nazis dehumanise me, the dominant group must first dehumanise themselves, the same holds nowadays for Israel.
I am appalled about how hateful, how dehumanised, that they do not see any human aspect in any Palestinian anymore.
The Zionists have no right whatsoever to use the Holocaust for any purpose, they have given up everything which has to do with humanity and with empathy”

Rather proud of the post I made for JVP Boston for Holocaust Remembrance Day!
Antizionist Jewish Shoah survivors have always been some of my heroes.
And every one of them has been attacked and discredited by Zionists.

I should not be surprised that goyim both fundamental do not understand what the phrase "Never Again" means and that they have co-opted it.
Never Again never meant there shall never be genocides or ethnic cleansing in the world. The sad reality is that as long as hatred exists these things will continue.
As Cambodia, Rwanda, and Darfur showed the Holocaust did not Genocides.
Jews we are not foolish enough to think that we never shall be under risk of mass death for being Jews. The Holocaust was not the first Genocide we have faced in our very long history.
I know myself and other Jews on here have shared the many ways we all have the same or similar ways of knowing this, even from very young, and are always somewhat prepared for this happen.
Never Again is a statement amongst Jews that Never Again will we be taken so largely unaware, Never Again shall we suffer so much and lose so much Never Again shall we be unprepared, Never Again shall we fully give all our trust, Never Again shall something on this scale and this magnitude happen, Never Again shall we let them make our murder an industry, Never Again shall they profit from our death
But it is also a warning, a warning to you that Never Again shall you get away with this, Never Again will be able to murder us so freely and so easily, Never Again will you have to chance to something like while the world watches and does nothing
Never Again is a promise we have made to each other and it is a warning to you.
It is not a term that about all things and for all people, it is about our very specific trauma and history.
