#art style challenge #pretty boy detective club #bocchi the rock! #my dress up darling #teppen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #terada tera #shikimori's not just a cutie #rieley draws #digital #ocs #ayuri #fun fact. for the bocchi text i had to use a different font for ''ED'' #bc in the font i'd chosen the E was rounded like a backwards 3 and the way they lined up made it look like straight up A Peen #so there's a fun lil discrepancy there :) #anywayyyy #i had to improvise on the ears for like all of these since there were no animal refs #so the design varies between each one #and i just went straight to ayuri's simplified alt outfit for tera terada #bc it matches the kind of stuff their characters tend to wear way more closely #i think it worked out nicely! #one thing that tends to throw things off (and this is a problem i had in my last style challenge too) is the eyelashes #bc ayuri's eyelashes are like bright blue (the color of her hoodie) but anime characters always have just black #and since eyes are such a huge part of art styles it can rly make a big difference in how much the drawing Looks like that style #(that's part of why the kyoani one gave me so much trouble last time) #so i was v happy doing the tera terada one in which the eyelashes always have a splotch of color on the ends #just happened to work out perfectly! #i ended up doing that for most of the others too #but next time i will def try to pick a character w normal lashes For Once. make things easier on myself For Once

Do you guys notice how when Shawn Fain, president of the United Auto Workers union, started planning a general strike, he did it by a) targeting his messaging towards unions with the ability to safely and effectively strike in large numbers, b) laid out a clear, actionable plan for those unions to follow (setting contracts to all expire at the same time, since many unions cannot strike while under contract), c) is using union contracts to set clear, actionable demands that can be met in order to gauge success and provide an end goal, and d) started organizing FOUR YEARS before the proposed strike date to give people the chance to plan accordingly, because it takes a really freaking long time to get tens of millions of people organized?

You notice how he didn't do it by slapping a message on Twitter saying 'hey nobody go to work on Monday, that'll really show 'em'?

Chilchuck analysis speedrun: As a hardworking half-foot who grew up poor and discriminated against and had his gullibility taken advantage of multiple times in his early adventuring days, Chilchuck thinks optimism is a dangerous flaw. He’s stressed and strict all the time because his job is noticing details like traps that could get everyone killed before anyone knows it, he takes the lives of everyone to be on his shoulders, and with the way he speaks about it that probably partly reflects how he felt about taking it upon himself to provide for his family too. His life’s always been pretty centered around work and has become even moreso now that his wife left and everyone is independent, and due to past events he’s very iffy with bonding with coworkers. He thinks feelings and job are a disaster mix. Like with his wife or with parties hiring him as sacrifice, being open or having good faith is vulnerability which can get you hurt, so he processes and shows all his stress as anger instead of worry. Doing strict dieting probably isn’t helping the irritability what with hunger, and on top of being a hunger suppressant alcohol might be the main stress reliever he has.

The service dog battle vest was kinda just cause I thought it was funny and cheeky and vaguely suggestive and I genuinely wasn't expecting people to actually clock it and start approaching me for like. I'm kind of jealous of the Dark Urge romance scene, especially with Astarion, because it does such a great job of showing the two being equal parts in the relationship. Astarion isn't just a scared traumatized guy your character is trying to help and coddle and fix. He's one half of a partnership and willing to put the same amount of effort in to helping your character as they do him. And he's loving and comforting to them the way they have been to him.

That's just insane to me, how well it highlights that side of him exists. And it makes me a little sad that the custom players don't get any generic moments where he expresses an interest in doting on them or helping them. It feels much more hero complexy and less "two traumatized people in it together."

It's an incredible scene, and very moving for the Dark Urge story. Just makes me sad all my custom Tav similar situations have to exist as headcanons alone 😭

Definitely think if I hadn't developed my Tav so far during EA that I would be a Durge/Astarion girl now. But alas. Cant abandon this oc now.

It’s never overstated to me when people are like “work out bc it makes you feel better” bc it literally does. I think what I used to get hung up on is making the perfect schedule / wanting to know what I was doing right away. But it’s also okay to flounder at first and experiment w things and figure out what works for you and your body. The important thing is you’re starting out bc your body really will thank you for it later down the line. You cannot keep pushing it off it will add up

#“Work out not bc you hate your body but bc u love it” is the truest statement ever #I also don’t think a gym membership is needed bc I know straight up athletes who only ever do bodyweight workouts #It helps me so that’s why I have one but it’s by no means necessary #I still do at home workouts at times bc I think they’re rly fun and a nice switch up #And just playing around and finding out what works for me but what also challenges me #I don’t think I perfected it yet but I’m doing lots of research & experimenting w things & I also just love the endorphins it gives me #My friend and I are ab to start regularly biking through nature trails & I think that will be so therapeutic for me bc I usually just #Work out at the gym/at home.
