"How do I know you're you?" Scott asks it because he has to, voice straining with how much he doesn't want to.

Kira is quiet, for a moment. He listens to her heartbeat. Takes stock of her chemosignals.

Her heartbeat is even. Her scent is—

She smells hurt.

The pause isn't to think of a lie. It's to catch her breath. He'd knocked it out of her.

Scott regrets it. And, almost as much, he regrets that he wouldn't take it back.

"I told you—I said I was coming back." Kira's voice is quiet and soft and hurt. She sounds just like he remembers when she continues in a ramble, "I gave you—I gave you a tail for safekeeping and you knew I would be back when I could be and I'm—and I'm here, aren't I?"

Kira yanks herself away from him. He regrets that, too.

She had been gone for a long two years. There's a werewolf, upstairs, who has just pledged allegiance to Scott's pack, and Chris Argent applying Nine Herbs to the unhealing wounds they hadn't discovered under his shirt until they'd gotten back to the house, and Theo Raeken to Scott's right, because once he and Chris'd gotten the door open, Kira had been there.

Kira.

Kira, who had thrown her arms around him, and Scott, who had flinched.

Scott had texted Theo then, because with Kira there, Chris would need help that isn't Scott, and he would need help that wouldn't take it so hard if Alec doesn't make it.

Theo, he knows, can take it. It'll hit him, but it won't knock him out. So he'd called an ally instead of pack.

Theo hadn't been an ally when Kira had sent him underground, before she'd gone there herself. When Theo had knocked, and Scott had called for him to come in, and it'd taken a moment for the door to open, Scott hadn't though far ahead enough to remember that.

The Scott Kira had known had known her just as well.

The Scott Kira knows now still knows her just as well, so when she lunges forward, he's surprised, and when he catches her around the waist before she can attack Theo, she is, too.

When he asks her if she's her, she is, too.

When she yanks away, he wants to be surprised. He isn't. He hasn't been able to hold onto much of anything these days.

He doesn't know how to tell her. That it's not her fault. That he just doesn't know how to think, right now, with Alec in the guest room, and Kira in his living room, and how impossible it feels to bridge the gap between those two things.

He misses the weight of her against him.

He's almost jealous when she presses her hand against Theo's chest and pushes all of her weight forward so he's backed against the wall. The surprise that flickers on Theo's face before it's gone tells him that he hadn't let her do it.

Scott thinks that he would've let her. She wouldn't have even had to try. Even if she hadn't been her, it'd still be her. How would he be able to stop himself from letting her?

He remembers, briefly, how he'd let Theo pull him into his arms in this same living room, and how he'd used those same arms to knock him down in the school library.

If he'd let Theo do it, he's sure he'd let Kira, too.

"I know why I'm here, Scott," she says, voice still soft before it goes harder than he's ever heard it, eyes still fixed on Theo when she asks, "but why is he?"

So...yeah, enjoy! Feel free to use the stuff on there for whatever fan project/fic/etc that you want (as long as you don’t take credit for the site itself or use it for ai stuff). In fact that part’s encouraged, since that kind of stuff is what made me wanna do this in the first place.

i've been dead and gone bc of school and jobsearching and everything happening all at once but ive been playing the boktai series games lately and i'm enjoying it a lot. I just got past the third boss in boktai 2. I don't know why but i'm enthralled with these games, i highly recommend them

her name is Dyllin, because i had to, and shes SO cute. Shes got a little lopsided grin, and one dimple, and the cutest smattering of freckles on her nose right where her fur starts to turn pink. Both Rian and Atty are trans, so they raised her gender neutrally until she could tell them who she was herself (thus atty using they for her in that one art), and when she was about 3 she said she was a girl and now she wears all the pretty flowy dresses she can get her hands on (uncle foq supplies many of them)!

in the art above shes: 14, 16 (colored in), 19? (lines), ambiguous age younger than 3, 5?, and also 5. I think that ill mainly draw her as a little kid or around 14, cause those ages are where more interesting dynamics happen with people. Lots of funny kiddy moments, and growing into your own person moments. Which! is what im about in fankids! beyond just drawing a cute kid and having fun with design (which im also all about but just to give an explaination for why im drawing her at those ages). I dont think i want to go into adult ages for her yet, cause for the moment its about her being a fankid for me.

She takes after Chet and mostly Foq much more in personality than either of her actual parents, so shes a very carefree happy-go-lucky kid. To Rian's absolute horror (see below, for their rage at finding out), Foq flounces his way into being a archfey and becomes her warlock patron when shes a little kid, but its alright Aunt Scenda is her cleric deity so shes got a balance for his chaos! (she doesnt balance shit but it does make rian not kill foq over the pact so! whatever works!)
