Kim Possible Villains and their Kids Headcanons
Aka Anna wants to talk about her KP OCs
A lot of the kiddos essentially grow up together. Showing up at villainy events all the time.
I’ve talked a little about my Drakgo baby, Laserbeam, but she also has a brother named Dynamite and a sister named Gunpowder. (Gunpowder is not mine though, they belong to a friend of mine).
Junior and Bonnie? Not endgame. That is a gay man. But he does task her with being the surrogate for Junior and his boyfriend’s daughter Señorita.
Despite Monkey Fist hating children with every bone in his body, he ends up adopting a child named Xiaojian. She is raised as his apprentice.
How is Monkey Fist no longer statue? Personally I go with another timeline messing with Time Monkey.
Xiaojian was born from the monkey Chippy, turned semi human by DNAmy.
On a Henchco outing when they were kids, Dynamite convinced Xiaojian to sneak into a monkey enclosure then proceeded to leave her there.
Xiaojian and Laserbeam dated for a short while. They are now bitter exes.
Because of how bad the breakup was, Señorita adopted a "no dating anyone with Jack Hench in their contacts" policy.
Somehow all the kids end up with Duff as the "favorite not uncle" (for Xiaojian "Nae yer daddy")
When Dynamite was starting their gender journey, they often could be found at Duff's hitting shots.
Xiaojian learnt Scottish Gaelic and she and Duff tease Monkey Fist often.
She really thinks Monty and Duff need to just get together already.
Señorita wanting to prove some other rich people she was better than them had Duff teach her to golf.
Señorita follows her Papi’s dream of being a big pop star.
In a world where multiple Disney medias exist in the same universe, Señorita grew up watching Ernesto De La Cruz movies with her Abuelo.
Along the same lines, Dynamite once broke up with someone because they said 4*Town was better than Oh Boyz.
Dynamite loves webcomics. Would 100% be that Homestuck fan.
Sharpies are on high watch in the household. If not to turn grey a la Homestuck, Dynamite would recreate Sharpie Bath to turn Blue.
Dynamite was born in Colorado. Laserbeam in California.
Dr Drakken got a vasectomy after Dynamite was born.
Estelle Lipsky? The kiddos call her different things. Laserbeam calls her GamGam, Dynamite calls her GramGram, Gunpowder calls her Bob.
Somehow, the Drakkens end up always celebrating big holidays with the Possible-Stoppables. It is never planned but space is usually made for the other party.
I see Dr D having Jewish heritage but being non-religious. The kids however had Christmas and Hannukah growing up.
Shego watched Dr Drakken insist on designing and making an Offbrand Barbie Dreamhouse (Baddie’s Dream Lair maybe?)
Laserbeam swears she is not superstitious. She comes from a family of brainiacs so there’s reasoning for that which might be dubbed peculiar. And she knows Aliens and Ghosts and weird shit exists. Doesn’t consider that superstition.
However, she isn’t aware of habits which make her seem she is. Like putting on a specific hoodie whenever an assignment is just not seeming right.
Laserbeam often keeps a slurry of meds and sensory things in her purse because you can’t do evil in bad health.
Laserbeam once performed a VERY heated rendition of Holding Out For A Hero that ended up with her grounded (so worth it though).
While I stand by the idea that Laserbeam and Dynamite are not in frequent contact with their maternal uncles, I like to imagine Mego pops in from time to time.
Laserbeam, Dynamite, and Gunpowder were homeschooled.
The Drakgo babies were named after the song Killer Queen.
Dynamite and Drakken can often be found in the lab late at night. They’ll get inspiration for a project randomly and then suddenly the entire lair is being woken up to dad rock™️.
Laserbeam’s full name is Laserbeam Olivia Drakken. When she has to go undercover she will use Olivia Lipsky.
Dynamite’s full name is Dynamite Andrew Drakken.

Pirate AU
Almost 3000 words of a half-developed AU idea vaguely inspired by Pirates of Caribbean.
You know when you have some scenes clear in your mind and then the inspiration/motivation to write the overall connecting story fizzles out? Yeah. That is what happened with this one. But I didn't want to leave it languishing forever in my drafts folder so you can also read it in the miscellaneous collection of random stuff that I have on Ao3  (if lately you had the same problem with links on Tumblr as me, try removing the https://href.li/? part from the URL)
                                              _______________
Catalina is the de facto governor of a small island. In theory her husband, Henry, is the governor, but he’s never there, preferring the mainland and doing his own things. Leaving Catalina in charge gets her out of his way while keeping up the façade of him being a respectable married man (if you ignore all the mistresses he has, but that’s another matter).
Catalina doesn’t particularly mind. She has no lost feelings for him and plenty of stuff to keep her busy. Governor’s businesses. Raising her goddaughter. Pirates infesting the surrounding waters.
Catherine ‘Cathy’ Parr is Catalina’s goddaughter. After her mother died, Catalina took her in and she has been with her since she was a child. When Catalina is sent to her ‘glorified’ exile on the island, she goes with her.
During the trip, Cathy sees something, or better someone, in the sea and convinces the crew to rescue them. It’s a young girl, some years younger than Cathy, Catalina reckons. She is a weak, thin, frail slip of a girl. Whether from the physical trauma (she has a deep gash on her head, blood caking her hairline) or from the psychological one of barely surviving a shipwreck, the girl can’t remember how long she has been lost at sea or pretty much anything else, except that her name is Katherine.
Catalina takes her under her wing too, albeit not officially. Not like she can adopt her without her husband’s agreement. And he was already not happy about her taking in Cathy. But what she can do is keep an eye on her and make sure she does not lack for anything.
Whether because of the long trip to their new home, being the only children on board, or just them clicking with each other, Cathy and Katherine, who most call Kat, quickly become inseparable. And as they grow up, things don’t change, making Catalina’s promise to herself to keep an eye on Kat quite easy.
Kat apprentices as a carpenter. Any problem at the residence, Kat is called, and she always brings with her small trinkets she made herself to gift them to Cathy. Kat’s services are not necessarily cost-time effective. Mostly not time-effective, since she always ends up spending way more time than needed there. And Catalina insists on paying for the time rather than for the work, another manner of taking care of Kat in her own way. Also, along with books, Kat’s presence seems to be the only thing that makes Cathy happy and Catalina won’t deny her that. Life on the island is not exactly the pinnacle of excitement or social engagement or entertainment. Not that Cathy complains. If asked, she would say that she has all she needs.
Of course, Henry has to ruin everything. A letter arrives announcing that he has arranged Cathy’s marriage with one Thomas Seymour. The captain bringing the letter is in charge of taking Cathy back to the mainland.
There is nothing anyone can do. Not Catalina – if she wants to avoid diplomatic incident...and raising her husband’s ire – not Cathy, and certainly not Kat. They have to say their goodbyes. Cathy makes Catalina and Katherine promise that they will take care of each other. Then Catalina leaves them so they can have some few last precious moments alone.
Fast forwards to days later, the ship that is taking Cathy to her doom, I mean, wedding, is attacked by pirates. Everyone is killed except Cathy, who is taken hostage.
Realising the ship that attacked them is the Greensleeves, Cathy thinks it’s on purpose. The captain has a beef with her godmother. But then she realises it’s just that a young woman, the only woman on board of a government’s ship, would make a good hostage regardless because it’s clearly someone important and probably worth quite a bit if a ransom is demanded.
‘And who do we have here?’ A woman circles around her.
‘You might want to read this, captain.’ Another, taller, woman hands her a letter.
While she reads it, Cathy has time to look at her. Had to admit, not how she imagined the famed pirate Anne Boleyn, scourge of the seven seas, and pain in Catalina’s backside as well as pretty much any navy.
‘Catherine Parr, uh?’ The pirate looks her up and down. ‘Let’s see how much old Lina is willing to pay for you.’
Cathy scowls at her.
‘Or would you prefer your future husband?’
‘No!’ She can’t stop herself.
‘Thought so.’ Anne nods to herself. ‘Not that I blame you. Seymour is a scumbag.’
‘Ehi!’
‘Not you, Jane. Not most of the time, at least.’ She sends a grin towards a woman standing one step behind her.
When everything is said and done, Cathy considers herself lucky. She might go back home. Delaying her marriage, at least. See Kat and Catalina again. Despite them being pirates, she feels more comfortable on their ship than the one sent by Henry, surrounded by guards.
All is nice and well, until a wave has the ship rolling quite violently. Cathy loses her balance and stumbles forward, a golden A on a necklace slipping out from under her dress and now dangling. Before she knows it, Boleyn has the pendant tight in her grip, pulling Cathy along towards her, almost choking her.
‘Where did you get this?’ she demands with a growl.
Cathy stands corrected. She can now see why Anne inspires such a terror.
‘Take it off.’
‘No!’ Not the smartest thing, but Cathy is not going to give it up without a fight.
‘You either take it off yourself or I do it for you, and I’ll take your head off with it too.’
‘Anne.’ The woman who had been called Jane tries to put a hand on her shoulder, but it’s shrugged off.
Cathy feels someone grabbing her from behind. She tries to wriggle away, but she can’t, the hold too strong. Then she feels a hand on the back of her neck, and suddenly the comforting, familiar, weight of the pendant is gone.
Anne lunges to catch the necklace before it hits the deck. Cathy instinctively takes a step back. Well, she tries, only manages to stumble back into the pirate behind her, still holding her.
‘I’m going to ask you again.’ Anne seems to struggle to pull her eyes off the necklace clutched in her hand. ‘Where did you get it?’
‘You better answer her.’ The voice behind her sounds honest, no malice or threat. Almost sound worried about what Anne would do if denied.
‘She gave it to me!’ Cathy blurts out before biting her lip. She might be terrified, but she doesn’t want to say more. Like how Kat had given it to her, asking her to put it on and never take it off to remind her by. How Cathy had argued that she wouldn’t need a physical object, she would be thinking about her every day of her life until she dies regardless. How Cathy had tried to give it back, saying that she didn’t want to take away the most precious thing she had. And how Kat had replied that it was the second most precious…and both of them would leave that day. She would be missing the necklace just like she would miss her heart, that Cathy was taking with her on the ship.
‘Take me to her.’
‘No.’ Cathy doesn’t know where she is getting the courage to stand up to the pirate captain.
‘Take me to her and I promise I’ll let you go. I won’t even ask a ransom. I swear.’
‘As if I’d trust a pirate’s word.’ Cathy spits out.
‘Fine.’ Anne growls with a scowl. ‘Then I will just go back there myself.’
‘But don’t you want to see her again?’ The person behind Cathy speaks up again, acting as the voice of reason of the situation. ‘She’ll find her anyway. She won’t rest until she does. Or she’ll die trying.’
Cathy tenses up. Just the thought of the pirates around Kat makes her terrified and furious at the same time.
‘Anna, get her out of my sight.’
‘She won’t hurt her. If that’s what you’re worried about.’ Said pirate makes one last attempt.
Cathy relents. Not that she has much choice. Or well, she does. But when the options are 1) going back with them 2) she is killed and they go back without her 3) she is delivered to Seymour and they go back without her...is that really a choice?
So they sail back to the island, but then it’s just a small boat rowed to the shore by Jane and Anna, with only Cathy and Anne, as passengers on board.
‘If this is a trap…’ Anne trails off, the threat clear even if not spelled out, as she looks around the workshop.
‘How would she even-’Anna tries to reason with her captain, as usual.
‘Let her go and I’ll consider not blowing your head up.’
Not the first words Cathy expected to hear from Kat if she ever saw her again, to be honest. The pirates seem taken by surprise too. Jane is only loosely holding her arm, and nobody has their weapons out.
‘Do it.’ Anne orders.
As soon as she is released, Cathy hurries to Kat’s side and Kat immediately wraps an arm around her, holding her close. She leans her head against hers, trying to get as much physical contact as possible, but she keeps her eyes and her pistol trained on the pirates.
‘Did they hurt you?’
Cathy shakes her head. She just had some bruises around her neck from Anne’s grabbing the necklace and pulling her along with it, but they faded away and there is no trace of them now. And they actually treated her quite well. She might have even enjoyed the trip if she had not been terrified and worried.
‘What do you want from her?’ Kat speaks again.
‘She had something that didn’t belong to her.’ Anne opens her hand, the necklace falling and dangling down.
‘Give it back!’ Kat growls, lunging.
Anne takes a step back, before calmly wrapping the chain of the necklace around her wrist and tucking the pendant into her sleeve. ‘And why should I?’ She asks, impish smirk making it clear she doesn’t feel threatened.
‘Because it’s mine, and I gave it to her!’
‘Yours?’ Anne’s attitude immediately changes. But before she can say anything- ‘What’s going on?’
This time the pirates aren’t taken by surprise. They all aim their weapons toward the new arrival.
‘Boleyn?’
‘Catalina.’
‘Cathy??’
‘Madrina.’
‘Katherine?’
‘Are you just listing all the presents? Because this is Jane and this is Anna.’ Anne chimes in, drawing back to herself Catalina’s attention…and pistol.
‘Give me one good reason why I should not shoot you on the spot.’
‘Because you’re outnumbered?’
‘She is not.’ Cathy now has a small pistol too, given by Kat, the pirates can only assume, since they are sure she had none before.
‘Parley?’ Anne breaks the silent standoff.
The other two pirates start quickly and softly talking to Anne.
‘What’s that?’ Cathy asks.
‘Pirate code.’
‘Temporary truce.’ Kat answers without hesitation at the same time as Catalina.
Cathy turns to her, surprised. ‘You know pirate code?’
‘I...don’t?’ Kat is clearly second-guessing herself. ‘I don’t think so? I just…knew it? Don't ask me why.’
‘Parley granted?’ Anne’s question reminds them of the situation.
Catalina looks at the pirates. Then at her girls. Then at Anne again. ‘Pull one of your usual dirty tricks and-’
‘Where is the trust?’ Anne brings the hand not holding the weapon to her chest. ‘I’m a pirate of my word.’
‘As if I’d ever trust a pirate’s word.’
The pirate captain looks between Catalina and Cathy. ‘That’s where you learned it?’
‘Guns away at 3?’ Anna tries to get them back on track.
They all nod warily before slowly and reluctantly lowering their weapons.
‘To what we owe the displeasure of your visit?’
‘Hurting my feelings, Lina.’ Anne quips.
‘Don’t call me that.’ Catalina snarls. ‘And answer the question.”
Anne gets serious. ‘This is what brings me here.’ She once again shows the necklace.
‘Why do you have it?’ Catalina looks between it, Anne and Katherine.
‘She took it from me.’ Cathy spits out, still upset about it.
‘You gave it to her?’ Catalina turns surprised towards Katherine. She knows how important it is to her. ‘But that’s the only thing-’ she stops. It suddenly makes sense. Kat giving Cathy the most precious and important thing she owned…the girl would give her goddaughter the world if she could.
‘Where did you get it?’ Anne turns to Kat.
‘I always had it.’ The younger girl answers reluctantly. There is no hurting doing that, right? ‘And I would appreciate having it back.’ She holds her hand out.
‘Spunky.’ Anne nods, appreciative. ‘But not yet.’
Kat huffs. ‘What?’ She grinds out.
‘Do you know what this is?’ Anne fishes out from her shirt another similar necklace, but with a K instead of an A.
The girl shakes her head.
‘I had it made because you loved mine. So I commissioned one for you. But you still insisted on wearing mine so I kept yours.’
‘I don’t understand what you’re saying.’
‘The K is for Kitty.’ Anne carries on.
‘Nobody called me Kitty since-’ Kat stops in her tracks as her brain catches up with what her mouth is saying. She had honestly forgot about anyone ever using that nickname.
‘Since you used to throw tantrums about losing at cards.’
‘Jane always cheats!’ Again, Kat surprises herself as she replies without thinking.
‘I do not!’
Anne, Anna and even Cathy, look at Jane in disbelief. She had seen her playing at the tavern at the only stop they had on shore while on their way back to the island, cleaning out the locals because they needed funds...
‘Okay, maybe I do now, but not at the time!’ Jane amends.
‘I don’t understand.’ Kat repeats, her voice wobbling.
Anne explains how they grew up together, inseparable cousins until the moment their family’s ship they had been on had been attacked. In the chaos they had lost sight of the younger cousin and when they got rescued, all except Kat, they all thought that she had died in the shipwreck.
Anne, consumed by desire of vengeance, had joined a crew hoping to find out which pirate was responsible for the attack. Only to find out that it had not been pirates but government masquerading as pirates, hoping to get their families’ riches in a quicker and easier way. So Anne had decided to harass, rob and destroy government ships as revenge. Jane had joined her soon after, a life on the sea better than the prospect of a lifetime serving men at home. Anne had met Anna in her first crew and when Anne left to form her own, some of them, including Anna, Maggie and Joan, had joined her. They are the only ones, besides Jane, to know why Anne had chosen the pirate life.
‘And then we met your girl and I saw the necklace and here we are.’ Anne concludes her tale.
‘Met.’ Cathy snorts.
‘Not mine.’ Kat comments dolefully at the same time.
‘Engaged to Seymour, right?’ Anne turns to Catalina. ‘I expected better.’
‘Not my choice. Henry arranged it. Can’t refuse without a diplomatic incident. And enraging him. The Seymour family is a powerful one and I know that he will say he found the best for Cathy, and who knows what he’d do, whom he’d choose, just to spite me, if I were to refuse.’
‘What if you could do better?’
‘What do you mean?’ Catalina looks at the pirate captain, who appears deep in thought.
‘It would be reasonable to break off the engagement if a better opportunity arises, right? Even for… Henry?’ she spats out the name.
‘In theory. But in practice? Hard to find better.’ Catalina sighs. She had thought about it, of course. ‘I mean, better name. I’m sure there are lots of better people than Thomas Seymour.’
‘Definitely.’ Jane confirms.
‘What about marrying into the Howard family?’
‘Howard? Like those Howards?’ Catalina asks in confirmation. They are even more powerful and rich than the Seymour.
‘As a captain I can marry you off tomorrow.’
‘What?’ The girls had been silently resigned. Cathy knew she had no voice or choice in her marriage, and Kat knew she could not stop it. All they could do was enjoying their time together before the inevitable separation.
‘You’re a Howard, Katherine.’ Anne tells her. ‘We,’ she gestures to herself and Jane, ‘might have been disowned by the Boleyn and Seymour families, but not you.’ She adds after a bit. ‘Mostly because we thought you were dead, but you know, not important right now.’
‘Seymour?’
Jane waves at Cathy. ‘Trust me, dodging a bullet with my brother.’
Kat and Cathy get married, and once Catalina’s retire as governor, they take over albeit always unofficially. Central government can’t be bothered with that little island almost lost in the sea as long as it doesn’t cause problems.
Anne and Jane are torn because on one side they want to be with Kat after finding her again, but they also took a liking to life on the sea, so Catalina pardons Anne and her crew in exchange for them working for her, patrolling the waters around the island and keeping the ships carrying and trading goods safe from pirates...and anyone else.
                                                      _____________
Yes, I was going full fantasy with gay marriage being accepted and recognized, pirates getting pardoned, women governing islands and ship captains marrying people (looked it up, they mostly can’t unless already invested/ordained with power to do so).

when all is lost, then all is found.  (1/1)
This is the idea that’s been knocking around in my head and refusing to let me rest until I spat it out on paper.   I hope you all enjoy.  <3 (begins post-Frozen 1, and ends post-Frozen 2.)
Frohana/Kristanna    ||   No warnings/rating    ||    ao3 link
“If you don’t mind my asking, why did you travel with ice harvesters as a child?   Why didn’t you live in an Arendelle orphanage?” Kristoff just shrugs.  “Because there isn’t one.”
aka:   The royal family establishes the first orphanage in Arendelle, and the children are not the only ones who find a home within it's walls.
Arendelle has always prided itself on being well-run kingdom, fortunate enough to have an abundance of resources, plenty of trade, a fairly stable economy, and residents who rarely disturb the peace.
Which is why it comes as such a shock to Anna and Elsa when, in a conversation with Kristoff, full of quiet admissions and tales of their childhood, the topic comes up:
“If you don’t mind my asking, why did you travel with ice harvesters as a child?   Why didn’t you live in an Arendelle orphanage?”
Kristoff just shrugs.  “Because there isn’t one.”
Anna’s jaw drops and Elsa looks a combination of surprised and uncomfortable, both of the women falling silent for several long moments, seemingly at a loss for words.
“There isn’t one?”  Anna speaks up first, her voice incredulous, “Not anywhere in our entire kingdom?”
“No.   But, to be fair, it’s not like there are a lot of displaced kids in Arendelle.”
“But when there are,”  Anna says, her voice rising with her building emotions,  “When it does come up, and there are parents who can’t take care of their baby, or a kid whose parents die,”  Elsa and Kristoff both wince a bit at that, and the waver in Anna’s voice speaks for itself,  “We don’t have anywhere for them to go?”
Kristoff presses his lips together in a tight frown, unable to find the words to ease her mind.  Admittedly, it does bother him, too— the thought of other children growing up without homes, and perhaps not ending up as fortunate as he did.  (Trolls they may be, but they’re his family, all the same.)
“I feel awful, for not even knowing.”  Elsa says, her voice quiet and eyes pensive.
“Up until a few months ago, you two spent your entire lives inside the castle walls.  It’s not your fault that you don’t know every inch of Arendelle yet.”  Kristoff says, looking at the two downtrodden sisters, and hoping to assuage some of their guilt.
“But we can change that, right?”  Anna asks, though her voice leaves little room for argument.  “We could create a place where kids can be safe.  Somewhere that they can stay until they find home and families, somewhere they don’t have to be alone anymore.”
None of them seem inclined to disagree.
It’s a fairly small thing, Arendelle’s Home for Children, but it’s plenty homey, with plush blankets on warm beds, and boxes full of toys, and a view of the fjord through the dining room window.   It’s located right outside the castle gates, too, which makes overseeing the building process all the easier.   (They all play a role in it’s creation, Kristoff helps with a lot of the hands-on work, Elsa oversees the plans, and Anna is the creative force behind it all, offering ideas and helping in any way she can.)
The demand for an orphanage was not immense, but it's a cause that proves itself more than necessary.
This rings particularly true, when it hasn't even been a week after they finish painting the outer walls, and they are approached by a woman, tears rolling down her face, a young toddler in her arms.   A child that is not hers, but her brother’s, who went out for what was supposed to be a two-day trek into the mountains and failed to return alive, and she simply can’t raise the boy herself anymore, she’s sorry, so sorry--
(It isn't long at all before a couple-- two lovely women, both skilled blacksmiths-- tentatively come into the Home.   They’ve wanted a child of their own for years now, and considering the way the couple’s eyes well up with tears when the two tiny hands reach up toward them,  Anna, Elsa and Kristoff all have no doubt they made the right decision.)
As time passes, the amount of children in the Home ebbs and flows— thankfully, they’ve rarely had more than five residents at any given time, and in the two whole years since it’s been open, they’ve said tearful farewells to almost a dozen children who’ve found happy homes with new parents.
Turns out, there are kids in Arendelle who need a safe place to live, but there are also plenty of couples--  same-sex couples, or ones who cannot bear children, or individuals who simply want to adopt a child into their life--  who are equally grateful for the opportunity to expand their family.
It may be far from a lucrative business, but it’s brought them far more fulfillment than any amount of coin could.
When they first opened Arendelle’s Home for Children, Gerda had offered her assistance in running the place.   Anna, who remembered how kind she was to her as a child, knew she’d be as good a fit as any.   And now, coming up on two and a half years into the endeavor, it still rings true.    However, while Gerda remains the primary live-in caretaker, the royal family’s presence has been far from absent.
Kristoff spends a fair amount of time down in the Home, often bringing Sven, who happily brays and lets the kids hang off his antlers, or ride on his back.   He can’t help but talk for Sven, too, which almost always makes the younger children giggle and squeal in delight.
There’s one little girl there, Sylvi, with pale skin and tangled blonde hair, who mostly keeps to herself— she’s nonverbal, and hasn’t quite warmed up to any of them yet, curling away from any sort of physical contact.
(They’re not sure if she was born that way, or if it’s a coping mechanism, or some combination of both. They know next to nothing about her past, but they’ll do everything they can to ensure her a happy future.)
She still remains rather closed-off, despite being at the Home for a few months now.   But then, on a crisp Spring morning, something incredible happens-- Kristoff breaks out in Sven’s voice, and Sylvi’s face lights up like a Christmas tree.   She smiles-- the very first smile they’ve seen cross her face in all the time she’s been there-- and she wanders over to bury her hands happily in the thick texture of the reindeer’s fur.   It’s the most progress they’ve seen her make thus far, and Kristoff has never felt prouder.
Meanwhile, Anna spends any free time she has at the Home, too-- enthusiastically telling the kids stories of her adventures, (usually with Olaf at her side, reenacting the scenes with equal enthusiasm.)   And she’s almost always bringing the kids more toys. (“Your highness, how many times must I insist there are already too many toys to keep the place tidy!”   “Oh, come on Gerda, how am I supposed to be considered a kind and generous princess if I don’t spoil my favorite little Arendellians!   Plus, Kristoff and I already started building them bigger toy boxes, don’t worry.”)
There’s a boy there, Fredrik, with wild curly locks and a gap-toothed grin, who always runs and flings himself into Anna’s arms.  He, too, always has a new story to tell— of he and the other kids playing pirates, or this baby rabbit he saw in the woods, or the way he swears there’s a sea monster in the fjord.    Sometimes he’ll stop himself mid-sentence, as though realizing he’s rambling, and stumbles over an apology-- in a way that feels painfully familiar to Anna.   But she’ll be damned if she makes a child feel any of the same inadequacy she did.    With a shake of her head and a smile, she’ll urge him on, “Well, don’t leave me hanging!   You’ve gotta tell me what happened next!”
The way his face always brightens in response is worth more than anything in the world.
Elsa stops by frequently, as well— though at first it had taken her a bit longer to get used to being around children, mostly due to the fear she still wasn’t fully in control of her powers.     Once she had begun to visit, though, the children quickly grew on her, and she’ll often make them little flurries and piles of snow to play in during the hot summer months.   There’s an older girl in her late teens, named Runa— who starts to sit next to Elsa while the younger children play.   Runa is mostly blind, but she often requests little ice sculptures from Elsa, a smile always gracing her face as she runs her fingers along the frigid curves of each figurine.    Of course, they have plenty of wooden toys that could serve the same purpose.  So one day, Elsa can't help but to ask, “Doesn’t the cold bother you?”
Runa shrugs,  “I’ve never minded it.”
Perhaps it’s not so much the ice figurines she enjoys, as much as it is the company and kindness of another.
Of course, all the children who have come into the Home hold special places in each of their hearts.   It’s a complicated sort of love, as every farewell they have is a bittersweet one (it means they’ll see the child far less, if at all--  but it means they've found a real home, which is so, so good.)
And on a similar vein, every child they watch get passed up by potential families breaks their hearts.
It's Autumn when a lot changes in an incredibly short span of time.   By the time the dust fully settles in Arendelle, Anna’s both engaged and coronated as Queen, Elsa lives in the Enchanted Forest with the Northuldra, and there’s an entire chunk of their kingdom’s history that needs retelling.    For Anna, in particular, the queendom comes incredibly natural to her— but the journey it took to get there, the mass of secrets their family kept, holding Olaf as he perished, the gripping fear that she was truly alone , followed by nearly dying on the dam--  well, that all is a bit harder to come to terms with.
Eventually, though, things calm down enough for them to fall back in to a mostly normal routine, and they waste no time visiting the Home regularly once more.   There, they find a couple new residents, and, unfortunately-- three familiar faces who’ve yet to find homes.
Sylvi, despite most families passing her by, makes great strides-- she warms up to Kristoff through her comfort around Sven, and begins to trust the sisters, too.   Elsa, with her calm and composed demeanor, seems to put her at ease.   And Anna, though far more excitable than her sister in nature, is always careful to not to overstimulate or stress the child out.   Eventually, the first time Sylvi makes proper eye contact with someone is with Anna, her curious little eyes becoming absolutely fixated on the princess’s face as she tells her a story.    The little one doesn’t even seem to realize she’s doing it, and yet it takes Anna all the willpower she can muster to stay focused on the tale she’s weaving, and not start to cry right then and there.
Fredrik, meanwhile, is a lovebug with just about everyone, as outgoing as ever and never seeming to run low on energy.   He loves nature, always asking to ride Sven, or picking up little snails off the cobblestone path and moving them to safety, or doodling different plants he finds throughout the town.   He can almost always be found running around playing with Olaf, or dragging the other children into games, or asking Kristoff and Anna to take him on hikes, or running headfirst into a snow pile Elsa made-- (to which she quickly has to add extra snow to cushion him from hitting the ground beneath, and dear gods , these children will never fail to keep their reflexes sharp.)
Elsa, although no longer living there, still visits Arendelle rather frequently.   While it’s their family game night that keeps her coming back weekly, she makes time to visit the Home, as well.    Despite it being a regular occurrence, Runa’s face never fails to light up when she hears Elsa’s voice.   It always makes her heart feel full-- that is, until the day Gerda pulls her aside and shares that they haven’t had many potential adopters, lately, and those that do visit are almost never interested in Runa.
“Beyond being blind, she’s nearly an adult, in most people’s eyes.” Gerda tells her in a whisper, her voice thick with sadness.  “And I fear she may not find a family before that day comes.”
It sticks with Elsa, the words ringing in her ears and refusing to grant her peace.   She feels like it’s the siren’s call all over again, something nagging in the back of her mind, except instead of being mysterious and exciting, it’s an echo of a far more grim reality.   She returns to the Enchanted Forest that night, and it’s several weeks before she visits the orphanage again.
“You came back!”  Runa exclaims when she returns, “I was starting to think you forgot about me.”
“Quite the opposite, actually, I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately.   There’s something I need to speak to you about.”  A sharp breath, and then:  “How would you feel about coming to live with me and the Northuldra?”
A few more months pass, and while the newest children have come and gone from their system in nearly record time, Sylvi and Fredrik still remain.   It’s just the two of them in the Home now, and with the holidays only days away, it doesn’t appear they’ll find homes before the new year.
As a result, Kristoff and Anna, in addition to the time they spend with them during the day, have taken to inviting the kids for dinner with them in the castle, most nights. (“They deserve to eat in a proper home, you know?” “Of course, and I’m sure Gerda will enjoy having the afternoon off--”  “Right, and Fredrik didn’t get a chance to finish telling us about how he saved that baby bird!”
“And really, no child deserves to feel alone this time of year.”)
It’s not the first time they’ve all eaten in the castle together, but there’s something about the way Sylvi erupts into a fit of loud giggles when Fredrik puts a carrot up his nose to imitate Olaf,  or the way Kristoff feigns shock to amuse the kids each time he looks away only to find more and more brussel sprouts being snuck onto his plate,  or the way Fredrik, with a belly already full of hearty food, looks at the dessert tray being brought in and says, “Man, I love you guys.”
The moments are happy ones, and yet Anna’s chest aches  while watching how well these two children seem to settle into their everyday life.  The Home would continue to keep them safe and comfortable, yes, but it’s still not… well, a home .
The short trek back to the orphanage that night is a heavy one, as they know the kids need to be back in their own beds, but find that it’s getting harder and harder to say goodbye each time.   Sylvi tucks her nose into the crook of Anna’s neck as she carries her, no longer terrified of touch as she once was (at least, not from Kristoff and Anna.)    And Fredrik sits on Kristoff’s shoulders, his boundless energy finally waning as his eyes droop closed.
They tuck them in and say their goodnights, returning home to a castle that suddenly feels far too empty.
It’s only a few hours later, when Kristoff and Anna decide to retire to their room for the night.  The two of them are quietly getting ready for bed when Kristoff speaks up, his voice tentative.
“Anna, do you, uh-- do you still want to have kids?”
“I do.   Why?  Wait, are you having second thoughts—“
“No, no, definitely not!   I still do too.  I really do.”
Anna watches him, her fingers playing absent-mindedly with his hair as she waits patiently for him to get to the point he’s clearly trying to build toward.   He takes a deep breath, and then:
“Do you want only... biological children?”
Her heart swells as it occurs to her where he’s heading with this, and she wonders how she got so lucky, to find someone whose soul aligns so perfectly with her own.
“Not at all," Anna says, and oh, she can already feel the tears building in her eyes,  "I’d be happy raising a child with you, however they come into our life.”
“So say there was a boy with curly hair and a kind heart, as feisty as you, to slide down the bannisters with--”
“Or maybe a little blonde like you, who trusts us more than anyone, quiet but brave as can be, who comes out of her shell more and more every day--”
“Or both?”   He asks with a sheepish, yet oh-so radiant grin, and Anna mirrors it tenfold.
“Yeah.  Both sounds good to me.”

It is I, and I am back with more a new list of fanfics for this wonderful ship called SpideyPool.
Listen, I don’t know why I’m doing this as well (maybe because I fuckin love these boys and want to share my fave fanfics of their ship to everyone...or whatever) but here we are. [ Here are Part 1, 3 btw! ]
Same shit applies:
The themes of the stories on this list varies, I’m either into something heart-warming, fluffy, domestic that sort of stuff or into some really really heavy and dark messed up ones. It always depends on the mood am I right? *wink wink*
It’s always gonna be smutty though lol
As long as it’s tastefully written, whatever kinky shit, I can be into it, I don’t judge the writer. With that being said if I add something straight up messed up here now/or in the future, don’t judge too, just mind the tags of the fic, for your own discretion if anything.
this list should be Wade Wilson/Peter Parker - Spiderman/Deadpool pairing only. I kinda like my babies greedy/possessive for/of each other.
I don’t care who tops or bottoms.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Summaries are taken directly from the fanfic’s summary.
Read the tags first!
Wolves [ Update: Sadly, the fic has been deleted :( ] (This is WIP, but I swear it’s so fucking good you should read it. It’s a Prison AU, and the writing is sublime)  Peter is falsely accused and sent to jail, where he meets the violent ex-mercenary, Wade.
Don't Forget To Check Your Calendar! Peter REALLY should remember to check his calendar or Peter forgets that he has a heat coming up, and in doing so causes several sticky situations to occur (thank god for Tony's NDA's).
Communication Error “Have you seriously been doing this bit for a year now?” “Bit… what bit?” Wade looked at him, confused. “This,” Peter waved his hand, “the 'we’re dating' bit.” There was a pause, and then suddenly, it was like Wade’s whole body imploded. His shoulders sunk and his head dropped and suddenly Peter knew he’d made a huge mistake. “Hahaha, yeah, the dating bit.” He held up the wine. “One year of one really bad, horrible joke.”
Night Off Wade is taking the night off when a certain Spider calls for help.
The Great Florist, Wade Wilson (this ones got a Sequel) Deadpool has found the apartment belonging to Spiderman. Or Peter Parker, if the name on the door is anything to go by. Now some people might use this information of said secret identity wrongly. Normally Wade would have been one of them. But this is different. This is Spider-Parker, I-mean, Peter-man, I-mean, fuck. Now Deadpool just have to figure out exactly what he is gonna do with this information. Which is quite simple really. He's going to leave Spidey flowers and win his heart this way or the one, where Deadpool spams Spiderman with flowers, and Spiderman has no idea what's going on
Tale As Old As Time, Song As Old As Rhyme (This belongs to the series  “A Spider in the Pool”) It is absolutely fucking good, I recommend you read them. Do read the warnings though yeah?) Peter Parker gradually falls for Wade's dubious charms. They have a lot of hang ups and kinks to negotiate, but with sex this hot, Peter can't help wanting more. Erotica with significant plot and relationship development.
Help Me, Peter Parker, You’re My Only Hope! “I need your help,” Wade admitted. “And why would I help you?” Peter asked with an amused chuckle. “Because, um, I asked you? Isn’t it what you do? Help people who ask for it?”
Damage Peter Parker finds himself in a sticky situation and who should show up to rescue him but the infamous Deadpool? Now Peter feels indebted to the mercenary... And maybe weirdly charmed by him.
I'm Serious Wade wants Peter to top. But he really, really doesn't know how to ask.
Shake it out (this series is a good boi)
Sick Days  "Wade." "Mr. Rogers." They stared at each other, one calm and silent in his fury while the other looked like a deer about to be pummeled by an eighteen-wheeler. "I'm sure you have a reason for being in my son's bed without a shirt on?"
Love Me Dead Peter tries to tell Wade his feelings. It's kind of a train-wreck.
Disgusting -Spideypool (5+1) This is a Wade Centric fic containing topics of mental health struggles and self image. Nothing too graphic but still.
Flip the Safety They both get a little carried away when they fight, but this time Wade grins over his gun and the worst part is that Peter knows he doesn’t plan on shooting him.
Do It Yourself “I bet you’re flexible enough to suck your own dick.” Wade plants that thought in Peter's head and he can't help where curiosity leads him.
Looking for a savior in these dirty streets  (WADE YOU LITTLE SHIT LOL) what's your opinion on eating ass? just looking for a yes or noThat's the text Peter gets when he's in a meeting with Anna Maria, trying his hardest to get back to running a company a few months after an unexpected trip to the underworld.
Act your age (not your shoe size) “Wanna go grab some grub? I have it on good authority there's some qual-a-tee Mexican around here.”Peter’s mouth drops open. “Uh, you always invite guys you just met out for lunch?” Deadpool laughs and leans forward. The words are muffled when he says, “Only the ones I meet in movie theaters.”
That's the power of love (cute af fic) “Yeah, so, about that. Nice to meet ya, I’m Wade Wilson but def not your Wade Wilson although I gotta say, I’m jealous of the asshole.”
Baby, i’d victoria your secret anytime (another good boy) Peter’s known Wade for a while now, so he can maybe see how this makes sense -- like, maybe Wade has a thing about going commando and just happened to have an old girlfriend’s panties lying around, one thing led to another…but…“And the bra?” Peter croaks.
It's The Alcohol Talking It wasn't every day that Wade came across a drunk-off-his-ass Spider-man.
Marco (this is fuckin’ hurt ok???) Spidey was fine. Everything was going to be fine.
Took no time with the fall (Part One of “wasn’t looking for this” series) When the Avengers had briefed him on Deadpool, they played up the Kills People for Money and Has No Real Morals angle and left out the Is Pretty Damn Funny and Charming in a Weird, Terrifying Sort of Way part.Or, five times they meet on rooftops plus one time they take it to the streets*
Now you're in my way (Part Two of “wasn’t looking for this” series) Wade's been with the Avengers for four months. The two of them have been together for five.Their relationship consists of taco-based dates, a ton of sex, and, well, Avenging.
The Stalking of Wade Wilson "It’s around this point that a niggling thread of thought worms its way into his head when he’s not paying attention, one that gently suggests that Wade might be slightly less of a bad guy than Peter previously thought."
Seeing the real you (it's not what I imagined) "The fuck,“ Deadpool said slowly. He was staring at him in a way that made Peter feel decidedly uncomfortable, and this was saying something, considering Deadpool had a habit of leering at him at the most inappropriate times. "Are you kidding me?" he eventually gasped. "How OLD are you? Twelve?“
I'll Always Protect You Anonymous said: If anyone is up for it I have a rescue prompt idea where Peter (he is not in his spiderman suit) is taken as a hostage with a gun to the head along with a few other civilians. Peter is warning the criminals to let everyone go otherwise his fiance,Wade, will kill them all. They mock him and beat him up. Then a furious Deadpool saves Peter by the most badass way possible. Also I would love if someone write how unnervingly skilled Wade is as a mercenary. Please? Anyone?
Your ass is mine  Spidey takes a toilet break while on patrol. He wasn't expecting Wade to join him.
When I'm Inside You Spiders are hard to catch. When Deadpool manages to pin one down on an NYC rooftop, he thinks he deserves a prize.
Daddy It had started as a joke, which was conveniently how most of these things always happened.
Any Means Necessary Anonymous said: Abo au where Peter is a young mutant who both displayed his heat early before his adolscent stage and spidey powers that went out of haywire the moment his heat started, leaving him to thrash around the city, running away from his family. Wade Wilson, an alpha, who happens to be a professional mercenary for hire, is now paid to catch this mutant, and try and calm him down by “any means necessary” because Peter, even as an omega is swrecking havoc amongst the city. [ 1/2 ] Of course, Wade takes those words seriously, and decides to just do that solution by first, capturing and drugging the young omega, and then, placing him in what could be described as a special and adjustable breeding stand in Wade’s attempts to calm Peter down. [ 2/2 ]
One Fear (Two Fear), Red Rear (Pink Rear) (Note: Now this is where “read the tags first” is applicable af. Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you dude) Anonymous said: Hello, another one for you: Deadpool adopts MCU Spidey and treats him like his actual child. That is until Peter starts growing up more and Wade can't help but feel attracted to him. At around age 15, Peter starts actively trying to seduce Wade. Wade resists, but in the end gives in. My kingdom for hardcore daddy kink, Sub!Peter, Wade calling him a good boy/baby boy.
Wo Rauch Ist (this fic is fucking gold) "Someone needs to write a ‘the fire alarm went off at 3 am and now the cute guy from the flat next door is standing next to me in his underwear’ AU"

Return to New York
Part 1
Tumblr media
So because many of you have asked for a follow up- here ya go, it may be a mini series- haven’t decided yet 😫
Riley Brooks never returned after being thrown out of the Coronation. Liam cleared her name, and they tried to find her with no luck. One day they returned to New York and by fate she turned up at a cafe due to Daniels ‘meddling’.
Warnings: Swearing
Some quotes are owned by Pixelberry as are the characters.

“Did you miss me gentlemen? Or did you just miss the cronuts?” Riley asked in a sarcastic manner- even though deep down she was nervous. It had been three years since the Coronation- three years since she got on that plane back to New York and never returned to Cordonia.
“Little blossom!” Maxwell screeched, Jumping out of the chair- he knocked the drinks over- not giving a damn about the consequences. Running closer to her, he picked her up- swung her around as if she was on the waltzers.
“I’ve missed you so much! Do you really hate us that much to go awol...” Riley looked at him with sorrow in her eyes, not knowing how to respond to him. Thinking up of a shit excuse to use- she was shocked by Maxwell checking her left hand and eyeing up her body.
“I’ve missed you too- why are you looking at my hand? And my body?”
“You look fabulous to say you’ve popped a baby out-who’s the lucky fella? The baby daddy? Are you getting married?” Riley looked at Daniel who just shrugged his shoulders, then focused her gaze towards Liam and Drake who both looked at her with their jaws agape.
“Max, I don’t know what you’re on about? I’m definitely single, and I’ve definitely not ‘popped’ any kids out- thank you.”
“But Daniel said....”
“But Daniel couldn’t finish what he was about to say... I was going to say was that she worked at the Hard Rock cafe down the road, but it’s part time. Her main job... she’s got a kid who she looks after during the day- for extra income.” Riley looked at Daniel understanding how Maxwell would get his wires crossed- he was never one to let people finish what they wanted to say.
“Oh... Maxi. If I had a baby, you’d be the first one to know. So what are you guys doing here?”
“Maxwell wanted to feel close to you.” Riley snapped her head towards the voice- the last man she kissed. The last man she felt anything for. Sure she had feelings for Liam- but there was something about Drake that she couldn’t shake away.
“And he dragged you two along. Typical Max.” Maxwell shrugged his shoulders before pulling the two men into a bromance hug. “Congratulations by the way Liam, I’m so happy for you.”
“Thank you Lady Riley. It’s good to see you.” Liam stood up to hug her, the last time he was this close to her was in the maze when he promised that he would choose her- even though there were doubts from her side about her being his choice, due to her lingering feelings towards Drake.
“So, are you having a Prince or Princess?”
“We’ve decided to keep it a surprise.”
“Li if you knew, we could have gone on a shopping spree... I told you it was a bad idea keeping the gender a secret.”
“Why don’t you guys go shopping, you can buy unisex clothing.” Riley suggested.
“Come with us Little blossom?” Maxwell’s eyes pleaded with her, he wasn’t ready to say goodbye just yet.
“I’ve got to go to work. Sorry Max. Why don’t you all go shopping then come for a meal, I’ll give ya a discount.”
“Deal.” Maxwell agreed without confirming with the other two men. If they didn’t want to join him, Max wouldn’t force them. Personally for him, he was going to spend every second he could with Riley- his ‘adopted’ sister.
****
The men went shopping, to say it was for Liam’s child the only person excited was Maxwell- hoping to prove that he could win the best ‘uncle’ award. Drake remained silent throughout most of the shopping trip- his thoughts were about Riley on a constant loop. The last conversation he had with her, the regret of not following her to New York- ignoring Liam’s advise regarding her ‘safety’.
Yeah, well... I guess maybe I found someone worth impressing.
Drake...
If only for tonight.. anyway, I’m glad we were able to have a few minutes out here together. Thanks for the drink, Brooks.
I wanted to ask... it seemed like you were about to say something earlier?
I was just going to say that I was wrong. No matter what happens tonight... crown or no crown, engaged or... not... you’re still you.
Weren’t you just telling me how I’m one of them now?
I was being an idiot. I shouldn’t have said that. I knew it as soon as the words were out of my mouth. You didn’t deserve that.
Drake is that as close as you come to an apology?
You don’t let me get away with anything do you? Lady Riley Brooks, I’m sorry I was out of line.
Thank you.
It’s just in that moment, when I saw you at the ball... you reminded me of Savannah. How she was the last night we went out with nobles at that party. She was so happy in her fancy gown, with her hair all done up. So hopeful. She lit up the entire room. She really believed she’d made it. That she was one of them. And I still don’t know what happened to her, what made her leave. But it was bad. It was something that broke her. I’ll never forget how devastated she looked the day before she disappeared. She looked hopeless. Like she’d given up. And when I looked at you tonight...I couldn’t stop myself from imagining the same thing happening to you. This place seems shiny and wonderful, but the truth is, it breaks people, Brooks. I don’t ever want to see you broken.
Drake.. that’s still no excuse for how you’ve been acting.
I know. I’m sorry. Hell, Brooks. My life would’ve been so much easier if I could’ve just hated you. I....
What were you thinking just now?
I was thinking... if this is the last time I’m going to be alone with you before you’re an engaged woman... I’d be a damned fool to not kiss you.
Drake... kiss me now.
“Drake? Are you okay?” Liam asked softly, noticing his friend was in a trance.
“Yeah. Why wouldn’t I be?”
“You just seem quiet, since we left Riley.”
“I’m fine Li. Honest.”
“What were you thinking just now?”
“I... I kissed her the night of your coronation. I’m so sorry Liam. I know you were going to choose her. The last three years all I’ve thought about is what would have happened if... if she... I’m sorry Li.”
“You kissed Blossom? Why didn’t you tell us? Is this why you and Kiara never worked?”
“I like Kiara I do... but more as a friend. With Brooks...”
“With Lady Riley you had feelings that were more than a friend?” Liam asked smiling at his friend who gulped before nodding his head.
“It’s not too late Drake, hey my spontaneous trip brought us back to her.” Maxwell bowed in front of the men, proud of his ‘genius’ impromptu crazy ideas. Patting himself on the back overdramatically - he knew that fate was occurring.
“If you feel that way.. don’t let her go. She wouldn’t have kissed you if there were no feelings from her side. I’m not cross Drake, so don’t apologise.” Liam’s encouraging words made Drake think, he didn’t want to make a fool of himself jumping straight into where they left off. Arriving at the Hard Rock Cafe, they were seated by a waiter- Riley noticed them settle in, smiling and waving at them all.
“My names Riley, and I’ll be your waitress for the night. I assume you’ll want; a sex on the beach for Lord Beaumont, a scotch for his majesty and a whiskey for Sir Walker?”
“No need for the titles Riley.” Drake said smirking at her, looking confused at him she paused writing the order down. He had never called her Riley- instead he used her surname as a defence mechanism.
“Are you feeling okay Drake? Calling me Riley?” She playfully nudged his shoulder, before staring into his eyes. Both of them focusing on each other- frozen. Liam and Maxwell noticed the spark between the two of them.
“Blossom, I think we will just have three burgers- whichever one you suggest.”
“Uh sure. I’ll put your order in gentlemen.” Watching Riley walk away, the two of them instantly looked at Drake.
“What?”
“Go and speak to her, whilst she makes the drinks.” Liam encouraged, watching Riley nervously place her hair behind her ear- then noticing Drake looking at her also.
“I think I’ll need a bit of Dutch courage before I speak to her like that.”
“No you dont. The way she just looked at you.... the way you looked at her.... there was something there.” Maxwell pouted his lips- impersonating a kiss. Drake shook his head, clearing his throat- he robotically walked towards the bar. Rehearsing in his mind what to say to her, he was shaking- not knowing why.
“Hey Brooks, how are you?” No that’s stupid.
“Hi. You’re still as beautiful as I remember.” No too upfront.
“You look as if you’ve settled back okay.” For fuck sake Drake, it’s just Brooks. It’s just Riley.
“Hey, you do know that the waitress is supposed to bring your drinks over right?”
“Yeah, I know... I ... why did you decide to not come back?” Fuck. Why did you ask that?
“I... I just thought you’d all be better off without me. I already caused one scandal, I didn’t want to cause another.”
“You didn’t cause that. That was all Tariqs fault, not yours. We all wanted you to stay. Liam cleared your name. You could have come back then.” Sighing, she didn’t know what to say- would they accept her apology for leaving abruptly and losing contact?
“Drake... what’s she like? What’s Anna like?”
“She’s an amazing Queen. Liam is smitten. Why do you ask?” Does this mean she still feels something for Liam?
“No reason, if I came back when Max and Bertrand tried to beg me at the airport- he wouldn’t have met her. He wouldn’t be happily married with an heir on the way.”
“Honestly they are crazy in love- it’s sickening.” He laughed, Riley mimicked his action. “What did you mean another scandal by the way?”
“If Liam was to choose me that night, it would have caused another scandal.... I love Liam, I really do but as a friend. I...” Biting her bottom lip, she knew that if this was the last time seeing them- she needed to come clean, place all her feelings on the table. “I would have caused another scandal- because I slowly fell in love with someone else. How’s Kiara by the way?”
“Erm... she’s okay I suppose... why?”
“Liv and Hana.... they... they kept in touch with me- keeping me up to date with court gossip. You both began dating so you should know how she is.”
“They kept in touch with you? They knew we were going out of our minds looking for you.”
“Why are you avoiding the question about Kiara?”
“Because there’s nothing to explain. Yes we began dating shortly after you left. But it’s not like that....”
“It’s not like what? It’s none of my business. Go and sit down marshmallow. I’ll bring the drinks over.” Jumping over the bar, he pulled her close to him.
“Drake you’re going to get me the sack! Go and sit down!”
“So what? You can come back to Cordonia that way.”
“I’m quite content where I am thank you.”
“Brooks, you belong in Cordonia... Jeeze you belong there more than I do.”
“I don’t deserve anything Drake... please go and sit with Li and Max.”
“Don’t you deserve happiness too? Who did you fall in love with?”
“It doesn’t matter Drake. Excuse me I have to work.”
“Riley... wait...” turning her head towards him she wondered if he was being sincere with his nice attitude.
“The reason myself and Kiara didn’t work was because of you. She knew that I was in love with you.”

My headcanons for dynamics between the queens
Aragon and Boleyn: bickering constantly but almost always in good fun. Occasionally a real argument will break out but Parr will usually mediate that just fine. They can roast and insult each other but come for one and the other will have your head.
-
Aragon and Seymour: these two are basically the moms of the group. They tend to be the most sensible and lay down the law. They also most likely do much of the housework together and probably watch trashy mom tv programs when no one else is home.
-
Aragon and Cleves: Cleves is really the only one who gets Aragon to lighten up in terms of playfulness. (Kitty’s ‘am baby’ charm works to calm her down not hype her up). Cleves will crack all the stupid jokes till she manages to make Aragon laugh.
-
Aragon and Howard: aragon sees kitty like a kid in many regards. She has a lot of respect for her though because she is still strong and sassy and not afraid to speak her mind. Kitty sees Aragon as an extra mom and a good friend to go to for advice (especially cosmetic advice) even if she does often help Anne roast her.
-
Aragon and Parr: Aragon sees Parr like a daughter, as she is her goddaughter. And you bet your ass she wasn’t the happiest when Parr and Anne started getting closer. But she loves, trusts, and supports Cathy to the end of the earth. Even if she questions her choices in religion and girlfriends.
———————————————————————
Boleyn and Seymour: Boleyn is Janes chaotic devil child. Jane is always there for her tho. Especially when Anne is grieving over or researching Bess, Jane is right there. Jane regrets not being a better mum to Bess and decided instead to be the best mother figure she can be to Anne. Even if Anne is a lil shit most of the time.
Boleyn and Cleves: THE CHAOS TEAM. These two never stop pulling pranks. They are loud and roudy most of the time. They are always making bets on each other and probably risking one another’s safety.
Boleyn and Howard: boleyn is best big cousin. Kitty looks up to Anne a lot and loves having her to hang with and just be a happy teen around. Anne brings out the sass and flare we all know and love from kitty and helps her feel confident and Kitty reminds Anne why she really doesn’t mind taking this second chance to just have fun. Mess with kitty and you will have boleyn’s fist in your face by sundown.
Boleyn and Parr: soft, calm intellectual and her dumbass cutie. Anne is a lil chaotic, obvi, but it makes their relationship fun. They write each other love poems and they probably only see Half of them. Parr gives Anne neck massages when she gets the pesky headaches at the base of her head. Anne gets Cathy to “not be such a stick in the mud”. Late night intellectual conversations in quiet french, with their fingers entangled while lying half on top of one another in bed.
———————————————————————
Seymour and Cleves: Jane is in a constant state of “Cleves I swear to god himself.. you are older than me, I shouldnt have to mother you!” But she does. And she loves her anyway. She usually just puts up with Anne[squared]’s shenanigans and somehow tricks them into being useful.
Seymour and Howard: alright listen up. YES kitty is sassy and strong on stage. But guess what. She’s still barely more than a child. And she had little to know childhood. Jane adopts kitty and basically decides she will protect her with her life. Kitty lets have in slowly and comes to know her as her mother. She literally just casually calls her mum and makes no big deal of it. Jane holds her when she cries or when her ptsd is triggered. Kitty feels like she doesn’t really deserve Jane in particular, but Jane reminds her how strong and independent and wonderful she really is, and that needing time to be a child, or needing your mum’s shoulder to cry on, due to trauma, does NOT take away from the other facets of her personality.
Seymour and Parr: sisters-in-law by chance but sisters by choice. Afternoon tea and scrabble sessions. Confiding in each other with everything. Parr is the only one who really hears janes issues (usually grief over Eddie) because she knows she can let her guard down around her. They also “take turns” making the morning coffee for the whole gang. Quotations because usually Parr is still asleep and Jane does it for her.
———————————————————————
Cleves and Howard: kitty kinda has a tiny crush on Anna. But the kind of crush where you JUST realised you’re gay and now you’ve fixated on your best friend or your friends older sibling and you know you don’t really like them ur just gay and they are attractive. It’s nothing but a silly crush, but Cleves likes to tease her, since she’s not subtle about it at all. (Even if she thinks she is). So Anna will call her dumb pet names and offer her a jacket, followed by teasing her and ruffling her hair and general friendly almost kiddish things. It’s all in good fun though! But that Doesn’t mean kitty doesn’t still blush anytime Anna flexes or calls her cute. They are, despite this, BEST friends. They would probably die for each other. Kitty trusts Cleves more than most people and they hang out and go shopping a lot.
Cleves and Parr: Parr went all “protective parent” on Cleves when she first noticed the joking flirting. She wanted to make sure no feelings would be hurt. She’s also still trying to figure out why Anna still beats her in smash every time. She’s pretty sure Cleves is cheating.
———————————————————————
Howard and Parr: parr’s relationship with kitty is somewhere between big sister and cool aunt. Kitty really looks up to Cathy and her ability to stand up for herself. Parr is really protective of her, in a parental kind of way, but doesn’t treat her immaturely. (Despite lovingly calling her Kid)

Now that Kurenai Yuzuru's taidan is drawing closer, I wanted to write something short about some of the roles she's done that I have fond memories of.
These are mostly from Reon's era, since most of my Hoshigumi shows are from that time. I need to see more shows from Kurenai's own top star run.
Mercutio from Romeo&Juliette 2010
Tumblr media
This was the first zuka show I saw, and still my favourite show to this day. I could go into all the details about how I love this musical, but now I'm just going to mention the casting. It was perfect. Everyone got a role that fit their acting style perfectly. Kurenai was a natural Mercutio, the best one I've ever seen. She nailed Merkku's immaturity, playfulness and – most importantly in my opinion – his recklessness.
Memorable scenes are Mercutio's song number when he tempts his Montague buddies to go with him to crash the Capulet's party, him and the boys bullying Nurse, confronting Romeo after hearing the news about his wedding (I was quite shocked to see Mercutio threaten Romeo with honor violence, claiming he's going to slit his throat if he won't give up Juliette) and the fight scene followed by Mercutio's death including a final song of ”goodbye friends and PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES!”
Tumblr media
I admit, I don't usually care for it when zuka gives a dying character one final song that they sing in weak, slow voice, milking the tragedy for all the drama its worth. It often fails to be sad and just feels cheesy and soap operaish. But I found the song of dying Mercutio very touching, when I saw the scene for the first time I cried real tears. Despite the language barrier, Kurenai managed to reach to me with her voice and her acting and make me shed tears for Mercutio's death.
Sid from Officer and Gentleman
Tumblr media
Officer and Gentleman isn't the kind of movie I'd thought would get a zuka adaptation and yet it exists. Zuka is very clearly targeted for women and this movie is more for the male audience. I know it has a romance and is therefore regarded as a love story but in my opinion this flick is more like a coming-of-age story about the character growth the male lead goes through (also, it oozes toxic masculinity, a thing more common in films for men). Anyway, the zuka version is actually a pretty good show. Ouki Kaname totally steals every scene she's in. But today I'm here to talk about Kurenai.
Tumblr media
Kurenai is probably best known for her talent in comedy. Sometimes I've heard people say that's the only kind of shows she should do and that always made me sad, because Kurenai isn't a one trick pony trapped to do only one character type. I have been very impressed at her talent in playing sensitive men. Many otokoyaku roles rely on strong and cool male image, but Kurenai sometimes gets roles that let her show emotions, the men she plays are allowed to be vulnerable. Sid is one of these. Sid is young and a bit naive and makes stupid decisions, but when he thinks he's done a mistake, he is ready to take responsibility of it. The scene where he goes to propose Lynette breaks my heart every time. That look on his face when he finds out he's been lied to, it just hits me right in the feels. There is something so naturally charming and lovable in Kurenai that seeing her characters get hurt makes me feel awful. Like, no, don't do this to her!
Karenin from Anna Karenina
Tumblr media
I have not read this book, but its one of my mother's favourites, so we watched this show together and she pointed me all the things that she thought zuka had adapted well and the parts that they had changed. She was especially impressed with Kurenai's Karenin. According to my mother, the character of Karenin is often done quite poorly in other adaptations of the book, he is often portrayed as just a onesided, simple man who's a little dumb and doesn't have much depth of character. Much like Sid, Kurenai's Karenin is allowed to show his emotions and not be just a boring, stoic figure who reacts to his wife's affair with mild disinterest. There is kindness in Karenin, it's not always easy to see, but it's there. He lost his own parents and a brother that was dear to him, and because he remembers how horrible it is to be alone and lose your family, he adopts Anna's and Vronsky's child, not wanting her to be left alone.
Tumblr media
Antonio from Tale of Coimbra
Tumblr media
I have opinions concerning this show. Namely, I think it misses a golden opportunity to put the zuka trope of reunion of lovers in the afterlife to proper use. Big part of the Coimbra legend are the coffins of Pedro and Inez being placed so that when they rise in Doomsday, the first thing they see is each others' faces. And zuka just had to go and twist the story so that Inez doesn't die (and they don't even get a happy ending despite that! Poor Pedro, he just can't win.). Also, very, very disappointed at the lack of Corpse Queen and tearing out assassin-Makaze's heart with a line ”You broke my heart, therefore you have none!”
Tumblr media
Ahem. Sorry about the rant. Anyway, Kurenai is in this musical. He plays a guy named Antonio, who is...   umm... I think a pirate or a robber or something along those lines. The group of robbers/pirates gets made into scapegoats for Inez's murder, and Pedro, Pimenta, assassin-Makaze and some soldiers mercilessly slaughter them all. Kurenai's role gets very little stage time, but I wanted to mention this role, because I was very impressed with her stage swordplay skills. I don't know if I should credit the director for this, or if Kurenai did some research of her own, but her legwork is strong and sometimes I can even identify the poses she makes as part of real swordplay moves.
Warrior seeking to fight with Reon, from Takarazuka Floral Dance Scrolls
Tumblr media
This is my favourite nihonmono revue. The music, the dancing and the costumes are all great. In one of the numbers Kurenai plays a warrior who doesn't get along with another warrior, played by Reon. I don't know what their beef is about, Kurenai just hates Reon's guts and sends ninjas to ambush him when he's spending time flirting with local ladies. Reon being Reon, he defeats all the ninjas and makes a daring escape with courtesan-Nene. They are heading towards a river, intending to ride a boat to safety, but by the riverside Kurenai confronts them. Holding his sword he opens his arms like inviting Reon for a hug. Come at me bro! And so they fight, doing the samurai slash thing where time freezes after they've struck at each other and then the one who lost slowly falls. The one who falls is Kurenai, and Reon and Nene proceed to their romantic boatride.
Tumblr media
This number has left an impression on me, because I think the nihonmono look suits Kurenai really well. She made a very handsome and cool-looking warrior.
Shibata Rihito from Mei-chan's Butler
Tumblr media
Takarazuka and shoujo manga have walked hand in hand since the days of BeruBara Boom and even before, inspiring each other. Every now and then zuka does a show based on a manga. This one, unfortunately, is based on a manga I have never read and therefore I had no idea what was going on during most of this musical. But I still found it rather entertaining (the prop work sure was something different, with weird video projections, shadow theater and parachuting puppets). I admit, the many colourful side characters steal the show from Kurenai quite often, being wilder and weirder than her character is. I will have to give special mention to Makaze's evil butler, I love it when Makaze plays villains. But at the end, this is Kurenai's show. She was a very dashing butler.
Memorable scenes include a weird, artsy, dream-like interpretive dance scene where the shadow theater is put to good use for * symbolism *.
Tumblr media
Because I haven't read the manga, I have no idea what is going on here. My bet is on drugs.
Also among the memorable scenes is the fencing. I still think Kurenai is pretty good with a sword.
Tumblr media
I need to come up with name for this trope, where the opponents lock their swords for a while to glare at each other and chat.
Bourguignon from Second Fortuitous Meeting
Tumblr media
Many zuka comedies are wasted on me because so many of the jokes are language based and I still don't understand much Japanese. But this one I liked very much. Admittedly, I got to read a translation once, so this time I got the jokes, but even ignoring the spoken jokes, it's just a really fun show. Every character was fantastic, Kurenai's role as a manservant forced to fake being his own master included. Her talent in comedy is very strong, she masters small things like the tone of her voice, the expressions of her face and simple bodylanguage and makes her character absolutely hilarious. I have noticed  that one character pair zuka shows tend to have is pairing a cool and serious master with a sassy, loud, no-filter-between-brains-and-mouth servant, who works as a comedic relief softening the seriousness of their master. In a show like Second Fortuitous Meeting, where everyone is sassy, loud and has no filter between brains and mouth, Kurenai needs to tone her comedy up quite a bit so that Bourguignon will appear even funnier than his master.
Tumblr media
Most memorable scene is Bourguignon sitting down in protest like a misbehaving infant when Dorante demands they leave.
This show got a sequel. It was just as fun as the first one, even though this time I had no translation and so had very little clue what was going on. Something involving a pumpkin thief.
Beniko and Reon's father from REON!!
Tumblr media
Otokoyaku in drag for comedy reasons is quite a common thing in zuka, and usually I find it as amusing as real men in drag (in other words, not very). But I adore Beniko. The reason why her comedy works is that the joke isn't just putting otokoyaku in drag, Beniko is a carefully designed sketch character. Her costume, her curls that she constantly keeps shoving back over her shoulders, the way she speaks (this has to be some sort of dialect, I swear), she is just incredibly funny. I don't think I can properly explain why I find her so amusing, after all I don't even understand what she says. There's just something about Beniko that always makes me smile.
Tumblr media
There was also a number where Reon sang about her family. Makaze and Kurenai played her parents. Makaze made a very charming Japanese beauty in her apron (I usually don't like it when they make her wear dresses, but here she looked so natural it suited her well). She had to bend her knees a little to appear shorter than Kurenai. Kurenai as Reon's father was weird looking, with thick eyebrows that made him look like a comic character. But he was a very sweet father, eagerly making faces and shaking a rattle at baby Reon, and smiling even when the fighting kids accidentally poured a tea kettle on him. I've always felt that Makaze and Kurenai had great chemistry together and seeing them play a married couple was adorable.
Gemini from Etoile de Takarazuka
Again, putting otokoyaku in drag isn't fun if you don't give her character. Well, in this revue Kurenai had to put her skills to the test by switching between two characters several times during the same number. The split-personality Gemini suffered from manic-depressive behavious.
Tumblr media
The female side was happy and giddy and optimistic (”Everybody loves me, I'm so pretty, and so witty, I'm so gay!”)
Tumblr media
...and the male half was gloomy and depressed and had no self-esteem (”Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, guess I'll go eat worms...”).
I have to respect her for managing these quick switches between otokoyaku and onnayaku, cheerful and gloomy, the changing between characters was done smoothly.
Also, I want that dress...   suit...   costume...   thing...   I want that dresssuitcostumething. I would wear it to every dance ball ever.
Frederic de Marmont from Napoleon
Tumblr media
This show had a ton of characters, many of them quite colourful ones, and unfortunately Marmont was often left as only the observer of things happening around him (well, the story is being told by him, so it kinda fits). Nevertheless I think Kurenai was very handsome in the uniform, and I think Marmont got some important scenes. He knew Napoleon from the military school and there's a song number where he voices concern for his friend's endless thirst for more victories. In the end, he is the one who decides to surrender Paris, understanding that it's madness to keep fighting and lose more lives when losing the battle can no longer be avoided.
Tumblr media
The part I remember Kurenai most in this show is actually from the minirevue. She dances a rather romantic dance with Makaze. I will say it again, these two had great chemistry together.
Philippe from Sun King
Tumblr media
I know there are probably only like a handful of fans who like this show besides me, but I loved it. I've always been a sucker for French imported musicals in zuka. This show is another example of good casting, everyone gets a character that no one else would have done as well as they have. Kurenai, being the best there is at comedy, gets the comedic relief character Philippe the gay-tailed pheasant, who also shows to the audience how the royals and nobles lived in a fantasy bubble completely separated from real life. She gets three songs and she sings them well. I haven't mentioned it before now, but I really like Kurenai's voice. It's a very recognisable, charming, unique voice. I also have to show respect at how easily and naturally she wears the gaudiest costumes. This show has some really ridiculous costume designs for the nobles to show how separate they are from common folks, but Kurenai wears hers with pride. I can almost picture her looking at a costume desing and being like ”Wow that is the ugliest thing I've ever seen, when can I try it on?”
Percy Blakeney from Scarlet Pimpernel
Tumblr media
When Reon and Nene graduated, my star also left Hoshigumi and I followed her to a new home troupe, so I haven't seen that many Hoshigumi shows after Reon's era. But when I saw that they were going to make Scarlett Pimpernel, I had to get it. I had seen Kurenai perform Percy as a shinko role and I thought she was brilliant even then.
Tumblr media
Of course I was going to use screenshots of the fencing scene. What else did you expect?
Once when I was sick and couldn't even read books, just rest, I borrowed some audio books from the library. This is how I was introduced to Scarlet Pimpernel. I liked the audio book a lot, especially the menacing, raspy voice they gave to Chauvelin. I was delighted to discover one of the first stories to use the idea of a masked hero. Men who like Batman are not allowed to make fun of me for liking Scarlet Pimpernel.
Scarlet Pimpernel is such an entertaining story and Percy is such a charming hero, saving innocents and having fun while doing it. I like Kiriya Hiromu's Percy a lot too, but Kurenai's is my favourite. She really gets into the character and makes a very lovely Percy. Having to wear disguises in this show, she once again shows her ability to fit into all deliciously awful outfits (like the suits they wear to the party held by the prince of Wales). But even out of disguises, I've got to admit Percy's got style. I also obviously adored the sword dance in the mini revue. Kurenai's Percy brings a smile to my face whenever he's on screen. This is probably the role I will remember her most from.
Tumblr media
I will miss Kurenai terribly. Whatever she decides to do after leaving Takarazuka, I wish her good luck and happiness as thanks for all the times she brought me lauhter, tears and joy.

Boleyn x Parr Part 2
Hi yeah it’s me again. This is probably the worst thing I have ever written, but at this point in my life I’m too tired to care :) I mentally drained myself trying to put myself into Annes shoes oops and now I feel nothing 😂
So before I get attacked for anything in this piece, please know that most of the words aren’t exclusively mine. My friend actually ended up in this situation at age 14, and now she has the most adorable baby in the entire world I’m jealous af, and I asked for her help to try and see what Anne would think! So all of these thoughts Anne has are based on what my friend said, so this is as realistic as I could muster! Teen pregnancy isn’t a joke and is a real thing that happens, and it isn’t anybody’s right to discriminate or to judge and I just wanted to get this out of the way before I started! :)
Warnings: Teen Pregnancy, Abortion, Swearing. I think that’s it but please message or reply if there’s any you want added! :)
Also I gave up because I was so tired towards the end and decided to post this anyway. Oops please don’t hate me I’m tired :) I might continue this. I might not :)
—————————————
“Are you okay in there?” Cathy asked from outside the bathroom door. After taking Anne to bed, making sure she had her stuffed dog beside her, Parr had snuck away to the corner shop and bought a cheap pregnancy test for Anne; earning a rather dirty look from the old lady at the till. She was glad Anne wasn’t with her, if the lady had given that look to Anne, she wasn’t sure what she’d do. As soon as she returned Anne was waiting on the stairs, stuffed toy in hand, like a child who had just had a nightmare but was too scared to find their parents, and the look on her face showed Cathy that she knew exactly what was in her bag.
“Yeah. It’s just taking a long time-“ Anne whispered. She was torn between opening the door and letting Cathy see before her, and keeping it locked so she was free to climb out of the window if it turned out to be positive. Long after the test had shown its results, still unseen to Anne, she let Cathy in- thrusting the stick on her. Parr stole a look at Anne before glancing down at the piece of papery plastic that could and would change Anne’s life forever. “It’s positive.”
The thought had been playing on her mind for at least a week, but to hear it out loud set it in stone. She suddenly lost connection to the world, she didn’t feel her body slam to the floor, she couldn’t hear Cathy yelling her name, and she couldn’t hear herself sobbing into the towel she discarded that morning. The first time she fell pregnant she was over the moon, she had a child to share her love with- and if I made Henry love her then that was just an added bonus. The first time she felt Elizabeth in her arms she couldn’t help but feel her world being completed. Her big blue eyes staring at her, and the little tuffs of red hair made Anne instantly fall in love with her. But what Anne realised now, was that her baby killed her. She didn’t blame Elizabeth for anything, she would give her life for Lizzie in a heartbeat, but she knew that the baby killed her. And even in this life she knew the baby would kill her; there was no Henry, but there was the problem of her body and society and her education. Anne was barely 16, she still cursed the world with every cramp she felt each month- she couldn’t push a baby out of her. And god knows what she would say to everyone but she knew what they would think. “Poor pathetic Anne, ruining her life so early on. What a shame. She had so much potential.” She couldn’t do that to herself.
Catherine was in a panic, she was fearful that Anne had somehow got a concussion when she fell. And it didn’t help that she wasn’t responding to her voice or her touch. “Annie please say something!”
What Catherine didn’t expect was annes abrupt response. “Where the fuck is the gin” Catherine let out a sigh of relief, she wasn’t happy about Anne’s instant response to any problem in her life being alcohol, but at least she knew that Anne was herself. “Why? Remember the last time you got drunk?” Parr instantly regretted her words. Her girlfriend was pregnant with a baby she didn’t want, from a guy she didn’t want and she didn’t even remember it happening. How could she be so stupid?
“I read in a book that it gets rid of it...” the girl whispered, looking 5 years younger, sat against the bath still clenching the dog. It didn’t seem possible to the pair, but their hearts broke again, Cathy’s was broken from wishing with all of her might that she could take her pain away. And Anne’s for obvious reasons.
“Anne Millicent Boleyn you listen to me right now. We are going to go sit in your bed, I’m going to get you a glass of water and we are going to discuss every option there is. If you want to get rid of this baby, we’re going to do it safely, and if you want to keep it, then we will figure out a plan to tell the others and a plan of what we need to sort out okay?” At this Anne snapped awake, sulking and moving around wouldn’t solve her issues, she would have to deal with this at some point, and knowing her girlfriend it would be as soon as possible. And Catherine followed through on her word. She tucked Anne into the duvet, went to get her a glass of water and came back with her laptop.
“Right. Drink this whenever you feel like you are going to be sick or just feel unwell, because I’m not stopping until we’ve sorted this out okay?” Catherine’s wise eyes smiled down upon Anne, in the way that made Anne fall in love with her from the start and she couldn’t help but feel safe, tucked into bed with her- no matter the situation. “Okay.”
Anne watched as Catherine typed furiously into the laptop, as much as Anne hated emotions, she couldn’t help but feel so much love and she couldn’t believe that she was being so supportive of her... “okay so the NHS says that your options are:
* continuing with the pregnancy and keeping the baby
* having an abortion
* continuing with the pregnancy and having the baby adopted.
If you decide to continue your pregnancy, the next step is to start your antenatal care.”
“What the actual fuck does that mean.”
“Hold on. Oh it’s just the care you get when you’re pregnant.” Anne took a sip of water at this. It was all feeling so real now, and it scared her. Lots. “What are your immediate thoughts? I mean if you keep the baby, you’ve got a loving household of queens who will happily jump at the chance to cuddle and care for a baby, or you could go through with this and give it up after it’s born or I could take you to a clinic and we’ll never speak about this again.” Catherine felt like she was being too blunt, but in all honestly she was as scared as Anne. She didn’t know the slightest thing about pregnancy or anything, but she was trying to stay professional, for her baby girl. “I’ll have to keep it.” Anne blurted our, faster than Henry could say “off with her head!”
“What makes you say that?”
“I can’t take the chance of being a mother away from the queens. Catherine, Jane and Anna all had their children taken from them and now I’ve got the chance to have a child, it feels wrong to take it from them. If they ever found out, they’d be heartbroken.” Catherine pulled Anne in closer, holding her as tight as she could manage. “As sweet and as kind as that may be, this isn’t their baby. It’s yours, and you’ll be the one looking after it. If you decide to keep it, it’s going to have to be for you. You need to want this child for yourself. Not for anyone else. Put yourself first babe. I will support you all the way if you want to have this baby, but only if you want it.” Anne looked up at Parr, the fear evident in her eyes, opening her mouth to say something, but was cut off by Cathy. “And if you’re worried about them finding out, I won’t tell a soul, but we need to hide this stick before the queens get back if you chose that option.”
Anne sat silently, contemplating one small decision that would alter her entire life. Instead of verbally replying to Parr, she stole the laptop from her and began to scroll down, reading more on the options. They both sat like this for a while, before Anne was certain. As much as she had loved Lizzie, she couldn’t bear to have another child at this point in her life. It just seemed so wrong to her. “Cathy, I don’t want to keep it.” To this Anne snuggled into the older girl even more, and Parr just stroked her hair, hoping that this was Anne making the decision and that she was certain about what she was doing.
—————————————
“Boleyn, Anne?” A woman cried out into the busy waiting room. The room was busier than Anne had hoped, but all of the chatter seemed to take her mind off of life, so she didn’t mind. Anne stood up, clenching Cath’s hand as she did. As she reached the woman she managed to muster up as many words as she was able. “Can my girlfriend come too?” The voice was weak and totally out of character for Anne, not so much recently but generally. “Of course she can.” The woman smiled. She was in her early 40s and was already starting to Grey, but Anne thought that it made her look kinder- if that was even a thing- but alas it helped to calm herself, she wasn’t going to question it. The lady led the pair down the hallway and into room 2, inviting them to sit next to her desk. “So Miss Anne Boleyn, is that correct?”
“Yes.”
“And you’re here for a medically induced abortion, correct?”
“Yes.” Cathy squeezed Annes hand, hoping that it would give some comfort to her girlfriend.
“Okay perfect. Before we start any procedures or any tests etc, I’m going to have to speak to you alone for a few minutes if that’s okay? It’s just to run through the risks, and your reasons for termination. It’s just a routine test we do to make sure you’re doing the best thing for yourself.”
Parr smiled at Anne again, giving her a comforting nod that told her that she would be right outside and she wasn’t going anywhere.
————————————
The chat was taking longer than Catherine had expected, but then again she had been researching abortions in adults. Perhaps there were more questions to ask for a teenager, Parr told herself. And before she had even realised, she was pacing the floor anxiously. Parr knew this procedure and interview inside and out, she had spent nights looking everything up, making sure it was safe, and that Anne would be okay; but she couldn’t help but feel nervous. She knew all of the queens had emotional scars, and physical scars as the cousins liked to point out every chance they had, so adding a terminated pregnancy to annes long list of issues didn’t strike Parr as comforting. Anne pretended to be strong; she was the witty one, the feisty one. But under all of that, she hid her pain with jokes and midnight tears and fits of rage where she would smash up her room and just sit in the mess crying at what she had done. Catherine tried her best, but there was only so far hugs and facts about bugs could go. To be fair the facts about bugs inspired Annes pranks on Aragon, but that’s beside the point.
“Uh Catherine, you can come back in now.” The woman popped her neck around the door and smiled. Catherine smelt Annes familiar scent of cinnamon pancakes and a hint of cleaning fluids- coming from the very large hand sanitiser bottles- as she retook her position next to Anne. “Ready babe?”
“No but fuck it”
————————————
“Catherine, Anne. Nice to see you on this fine day.” Before the girls had even walked through the door, Jane was standing waiting for them, Katherine peering out from a door behind her. Cath didn’t know what to do, on one hand Anne seemed to be fine, but at the same time she knew that although Anne had taken the pill option, it was still a mental toll on her. “I’ve had the headteacher on the phone for an hour screaming about how 2 of her students had snuck out of school and caused a lock down on campus. Care to explain?” Jane tilted her head at the pair and looked furious. Anne was, as suspected, mentally exhausted and wasn’t taking anyone’s shit, especially the woman who had taken her man the day after she was beheaded. “What the fuck is it to you, you’re not my mum?” Catherine looked defeated, of course Anne would say something like this. “What she means to say is-“
“Nah I meant it. Now if you don’t mind im going to my room so bog off!”
With Anne half way up the stairs, still wearing her Heelys, Jane looked at Catherine with a look that said “if you don’t tell me what’s going on I’ll hide your library card.” “Anne was having a bit of trouble and I thought that she should have the day off. It’s my fault entirely- please don’t blame her.”
