If Cyno lost a limb, Kaveh and Tighnari would team up to invent automail for him (the prosthetics used in Fullmetal Alchemist).

Kaveh spending days without sleep drafting and redrafting plans, getting Tighnari's help to map the nerve endings correctly. They talk about the possibilities of a prosthesis while Cyno sleeps beneath a healthy dose of morphine, the remainder of his limb swaddled in bandages.

He talks to matra and eremites to pin down what exactly it needs to do for Cyno to be able to fight. He troubleshoots which wires to use, how to power it, and how to keep it from getting too heavy. What can he do to keep the metal from scorching Cyno's skin in the desert? To keep it from rusting in the rainforest's humidity?

Tighnari sends letters back and forth and adjusts Kaveh's blueprints to be more anatomically correct. He points out problems Kaveh hadn't considered because biology was never his strong suits, and contacts surgeons to help develop ways to attach it since that part isn't one Tighnari can do himself.

They don't tell Cyno because they don't want him to get his hopes up, but they spend weeks trying to make it perfect.

When it's done, they show Cyno the prototype-- a metal limb that matches his aesethic with lines of purple and gold. Or maybe it matches his staff instead. It's still heavier than they'd like, and there are other problems they haven't been able to solve, but they think it will work. And Cyno? He was resigning himself to the knowledge that he could never do his work again. They gave him his life back.

When the traveller arrives in Sumeru a few years later, Cyno's limb is a few versions out from the original prototype. It doesn't slow him down much, although they never quite found a way to make it suitable for the desert-- it means he's grumpy and overheated in the sun, but he'll take that over not being there at all.

God, the guilt that Dean feels, for being weak and giving in, for not knowing that it wasn’t Sam in control, for ever wanting Sam in the first place… and it’s worse, so much worse because he went from riding the high of ‘yeah, im fucked up but so is Sam’ to this.

Do you think that, after the exorcism, Sam would ever be able to convince Dean that Meg lied? Or would Dean leave, convinced that he was a danger to Sam, that Sam needed space and distance and couldn’t possibly want to be around him ever again? Determined to protect Sam, even as Sam screamed for him to stay.

Oh I want this to exist. I want Dean chasing after Sam, sick with worry and protectiveness, and I want Dean finally having what he’s always wanted and then finding out that he didn’t have it at all, and I want Dean running away from Sam, physically retching at what he did. I want Sam, struggling and disoriented and violated but the one good thing in all of it was Dean and he needs his brother with him now. I want Sam chasing after Dean, hounding his steps until he catches up with him in some brokendown haunted house, yelling that if Dean is so determined to chase down death then he’s gonna be right there next to him. That he can’t breathe thinking about Meg possessing him, that Dean was the one thing he could hold onto. That yeah, it sucks that it was Meg in control but if Dean thinks that Sam wasn’t 100% on board with that part of it…

“Demons lie, Dean! Maybe it’s messed up, but what about our lives isn’t? And if we could have this… who would we be hurting?”

wanderer!scaramouche who during his travels encounters the heir of an old aristocrat family from mondstadt who hates their life and is pretty clueless as to the world but they’ve run away from the stuffy rich life to experience it.

scaramouche is constantly testing them if they really trust him by saying stuff like “he could be anyone” and “he’s so dangerous” and “isn’t it rather naive to trust a wanderer”. yeah, it is naive, but they don’t know any better.

but their childlike wonder with the world around them grows on scaramouche and he likes feeling smart and powerful, and like he doesn’t have to explain his existence to someone. that someone will just take him as he is without any reservations. he likes guiding them places and can’t help the smug expression on his face when they gasp at the smallest things.

scaramouche is also protective of them and the dynamic they have :( fending off people trying to drag them back to their lavish lifestyle with foolish human rules.
