So mom has improved enough that, if all goes well in the next day or two, they'll be moving her to a rehab center, which is fortunately right behind the hospital (I'm literally 5 mins from the hospital, so this is EXCELLENT for visiting purposes!). Me and the fam have also split the day, so dad and sis go in to visit before sis leaves for work, and I visit in the afternoon. That way she gets to see everyone!

She's still kinda out of it, but they've said that's normal. I'm also not sure if she'll be home for Christmas but as long as I know she is coming home, I'm ok. I even wrapped presents the other night, which I just... wasn't in the mood for before since I'd have had to wrap up the gifts I got her. But now I felt optimistic enough that I was able to wrap hers up.

Yesterday when I asked if she wanted anything for her room - a pillow, a blanket, a balloon - she asked if she could have a plague doctor get well balloon. Sadly those do NOT exist but I'm going to see what I can do. 😆
