Complete and Utter Crack...Literally. This is a post about cracks.

This post is going to be one massive "okay, so...bear with me" post, because it melted my brain while I was making it, so like...bear with me.

Something's been eating away at me about the bizarre combination of gate+dematerialization, and the weird shot/set-design sequence therein:

We don't actually see El open the 1979 gate on its own.

Don't click out. I'm not the one fucking with us here. We're shown the gate with El present, obviously, but there's fuckery.

We see El reach up to dematerialize Henry/Edward, a motion we've seen before with the Demogorgon in ST1. We've never seen whatever motion El does when she supposedly opens gates. In 1983, she has a panic attack in sensory deprivation, and Mothergate splits up the wall behind her tank. The gate she later crawls through in ST1 was left behind by the "Demogorgon" (debatable that it was actually a demogorgon). She didn't open that one. We're only shown how she closes gates in Season 2, which ends up being paired with her fighting the Mindflayer anyway.

My point is: we've never seen El deliberately manipulate a gate without something else going on at the same time.

1979 is no different; the opening of the gate is overlaid with the dematerialization of Henry/Edward. When we actually see the gate in isolated form, it's closing on its own.

What makes this all even weirder is that the gate El supposedly just opened is not reflected in the mirror shard directly in front of her, despite the fact that we see the glow of the gate on her:

Note that the shards in front of her are in what I like to call "left-side-orientation alignment" (since that tall shard is on El's left).

The mirror shards when we see her next are reversed, now in right-side-orientation alignment (since that tall shard is now on El's right):

(Note: I've raised the sharpness on the image of the gate because the dark lighting makes it hard to see what I'm talking about.)

This leads me to wonder if what we saw in the above mirror might possibly be the reflection of one of the alternate timelines, the one where no gate was ever created and only a dematerialization event occurred.

This hypothesis is supported by the fact that the gate doesn't appear in the camera footage of the event that Brenner watches in S4E8, and the shards of glass on tape are in the same left-side-orientation alignment as they were in that first image of El with no gate reflection:

The only thing we ever concretely watch El do is dematerialize Henry/Edward, and even then we aren't allowed to witness the process through to completion with El in frame. It's always cut short.

The gate+dematerialization scene in S4E7 conveniently cuts to black before the dematerialization process finishes. Then, when Brenner is rewatching the dematerialization on camera in S4E8, the footage also cuts away, the shot reversing to focus on Brenner's eyes before the dematerialization process finishes.

This is super fucking sus, because we know for a fact that El gets pulled along into the destination dimension when she dematerializes beings, and we're left with nothing but an impact mark on the wall behind the dematerialized being:

So why are they hiding the ending of that sequence from us, and how is El supposedly still in the rainbow room when Brenner gets there?

This is where timeline theory could possibly come into it.

Per timeline theory, everyone should have at least one alternate timeline copy. There's also a point to be made about Henry's 4 unique massacre jumpsuits and the 4 different timelines presented by the newspapers vs what we're told/shown in the episodes themselves, which leads me to believe that at least for those interacting with Henry/Edward/HNL...the number is likely more than that initial one-copy standard.

(The actual counting of copies falls outside the scope of this post, though. I'm just here for the mirrors and cracks. I'm leaving corpse positions, bloodstain shifting, etc. to Em, since those are like...his babies.)

Either way, the question I always run into with timeline theory is "Where is/are El's copy(s)?"

To which I now pose the question: Is/are El's copy(s) even in a "real" dimension...or could she/one of them have been pulled along with Edward into the Yellow Dimension?

This is the point where things start to get intricate, and where I begin to talk cracks.

When Brenner enters the room after Henry/Edward is yeeted to...wherever it was he ended up and the gate has closed, we see that the pattern of the gate-scar crack behind little El is a specific shape: Vertical ellipse with a deep central crack. This central crack is not aligned with the vertical grout of the tiles. We also see that the mirror shards have maintained their post-gate, right-side-orientation alignment. (Camera foreground focus conveniently muddles the extent of the spiderwebbing minor cracks, but that's not super important. I only care about the ones we actually can see.)

The next time we see the wall is when Brenner interacts with it via a cut to an entirely new camera within the observation room, and the pattern of the cracks there is circular with no vertical central crack, as if someone hit the wall hard but no gate was formed (the same as we saw with the Demogoron in ST1). Also, the center of it aligns with the vertical grout of the tiles.

This camera briefly follows Brenner as he begins to turn around, but then cuts to swap to a different camera entirely before we even come close to glimpsing the mirror shards. They're hiding the orientation of the shards here from us, likely because the pattern of the shards seems to be a timeline giveaway.

We are not shown the direction of the mirror shards during the movement of the camera within the observation room with the no-gate cracks, nor are we shown this Brenner ever seeing little El before this camera swap occurs. We see a Brenner interacting with her back when we were seeing the gate pattern cracks, but this sequence in particular, this one associated with the no-gate cracks? It never shows us El. Thus, the question of her presence.

The new camera shows a perspective from opposite side of the mirror, and we do not return to the interior of the observation room in real life after this.

However, the really interesting part is the pattern of the cracks behind him through the eyes of this new camera.

When we swap cameras, we're shown both the pattern of the cracks on the wall and the alignment of the mirror shards. The shape and pattern of the cracks and shards here are: vertical ellipse, deep center crack, not aligned with the grout...and the shards are in that same right-side-orientation alignment we saw earlier with El's post-gate cracks.

Just for certainty's sake, I want you all to look at the pattern of the major cracks with me, because the unannotated shots can be a little unclear. (I'm serious. My brain has been melting out my ears.)

The one shown behind little El (I've highlighted the important cracks. However, if you look back at the unannotated version, you'll see the same cracks plainly. I'm not pulling this out of my ass):

Gate.

From the shot of Brenner within in the observation room, during the sequence where the shards and little El are not shown to us (AKA the circular, impact-only/no-Gate cracks):

No Gate.

And the cracks we see behind Brenner after the camera swap happens, the sequence where we see both the shards and little El:

Gate. (The deep middle line is partially hidden by Brenner's body, but we can clearly see both it and the ellipse shape in the second image.)

As the cameras swap, we're shown a pattern:

Gate -> No Gate -> Gate

El -> No El -> El

They're likely swapping between outcomes here, and in the no-gate outcome...we are pointedly not shown little El. This contributes to me doubting whether she's present at all.

This is furthered by the mirror fuckery throughout the whole gate/dematerialization sequence.

What El sees before she begins to dematerialize Henry/Edward, when she's just got him trapped against the wall:

Right-side-orientation alignment.

What Henry/Edward sees:

(Note the reversed mirror shards ^)

Left-side-orientation alignment.

The shot from the security camera, which shows nothing but dematerialization:

Left-side-orientation alignment.

And then there's...the dual-outcome overlay, from Henry/Edward's side of the mirror.

We don't see this same gate+dematerialization combination from El's side of the mirror. It's always either dematerialization or the gate, never both together.

However, we do get to see the shards from El's side a handful of times the while the dematerialization process occurs, and while they're only on screen briefly...they're so very interesting.

The shard to her right in the above shot? The steep-angle triangle one? It's consistently on her right in the camera footage and from Henry/Edward's POV once the dematerialization begins. It's also the most common positioning of the mirror throughout the entire dematerialization sequence.

It was on her left before the process began, back when she just had Henry/Edward trapped against the wall:

This indicates to me that we've swapped timelines. She's got the same mirror as the Henry/Edward inside the observation room from earlier, meaning they're likely in the same timeline together.

We see this alignment, the left-side-orientation alignment, show up twice during the dematerialization sequence.

However, sandwiched between the two occurrences, is a single dematerialization shot swapped out for the right-side-orientation alignment, and from the Rainbow Room perspective, no less. This is the opposite of Henry/Edward's observation room mirror alignment from earlier (left-side-orientation alignment).

This tells me we're likely swapping not just between gate and no-gate, but also between two different dematerialization events.

Later, we see the red light of the gate on El and the left-side-orientation alignment shards from inside the observation room, but we do not see the gate reflected in those shards.

We do not see the mirror shards again from El's side until she's looking at the gate, and at that point...the shards have swapped back to the right-side-orientation alignment, with the tall pointy shard now on El's right rather than her left.

From what we're shown on screen, it seems like the gate exists in tandem with that right-side-orientation alignment, and that a dematerialization event occurs in both left and right-side-orientation alignments.

That gives us 3 timelines out of 4, and I'd be willing to bet that there's a gate outcome timeline associated with the left-side-orientation alignment which we have not been shown yet.

This leads me to believe me that the Henries/Edwards who got dematerialized are in two distinct timelines, and whoever got pushed through the gate is in yet another timeline...and is somewhere else entirely...and that there's a 4th version of these events which we know nothing or at least very little about.

This leads me to the working conclusion that we are being shown pieces of all 4 versions overlapped and occurring simultaneously, but not occurring in the same timeline.

That is to say, given Henry/Edward and the 4 jumpsuits, the changing corpses, and the mirror/wall crack fuckery I've just talked about here...the different HNL massacre scenes are most likely directly overlaid, and we've been swapping between them throughout the entire sequence.

So why does this matter?

Good question. The longer I melt my brain with this damned sequence, the more seriously I ask myself this question.

But seriously, this gate/no-gate business leads me back to a handful of other questions I've had since the beginning of ST, and some that are more specific to ST4:

How did El escape HNL after she opened Mothergate? We see her emerge from the tunnel, supposedly the same tunnel Henry/Edward showed her in the boiler room. However...when Mothergate opens, we're shown the instant chaos, and El is not in a hospital gown, nor is she in a section of the lab that's remotely similar to the section in ST4. She's still in her tank suit, and the lab layout is completely different. However, we also know that she escaped the same day Will goes missing, i.e., the day the demogorgon comes through Mothergate, so she supposedly escaped somewhere in the chaos...but how did she a) get out of the tank, b) get to the boiler room (which requires a keycard to access) to escape through the tunnel, and c) change clothes in the middle of it?

How did El know about the existence and mechanics of the UD at all in ST1? As far as we know, she's never been in it before she dematerializes the demogorgon. Unless...they're not the same El. Staring at the separation between dematerializing Henry/Edward and the formation of gate. If we've already got two Els, then, both of them should have another component, making four Els...to match our 4 Henwards.

What the fuck is up with the photos of Jamie in an ICBM tunnel? What are you doing there, sir? Why are you looking directly into the camera like you're trying to send me a psychic message? More importantly: Are you Henry?

What the fuck is up with the blood-free Henry stills? Why is older El in one, indicating it's from a massacre timeline she's interacting with? Why is the other from a stalker shot behind him/behind a shelf on the opposite side of the room? Why doesn't he have the Soteria removal blood streak? Why does he seem so confused? What's going on here, and more importantly...You're Henry, right?

I'd be willing to speculate that blood-free Henry and ICBM Henry are from that 4th unknown-but-likely-gate outcome timeline...and I'd very much like to know what is going on in the house of commons.

Something about the Rainbow Connection poster in Suzie's room when the Cali Crew is trying to find NINA...Brenner telling El that the Nina play was about two lovers...Dream A Little Dream of Me being pivotal in Henry/Edward's story...

Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection. The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

blessed by the shugods!!

god I love kingoh, such an ambitious sentai... I think it really won over in the end though!! The way it started with Jeramie's narration and the way it ended with it <3 I will say I loved the first half so much, the interpersonal royal drama of all- loved it. I also loved how it started to seed the story of redemption for the Bugnark with the introduction of Jeramie. I think it''s important to write a story of oppression and relationships. I do think it was overly ambitious in the end!! The bugs just got SO sidelined after the introduction of Duggy. But still, we got such a happy ending of not really homogenizing into one country, but to allow cultures to expand, to interact and grow from those interactions. Maybe love will bloom from it!!! I hope Jeramie tries to attend every wedding.. he would cry so much.

SO hard to say more from the story, it's such a packed one! Some things happen with such weight and then "it's actually fine no worries :)" next episode. I would of loved to see all the plot points fully expanded in a manga or a multi-season series.

THE CAST!!! THE RETAINERS!!!!!

You can really feel Taka's love for this series, he's really the show's biggest fan. Everyone feels fleshed out enough, and it's hard to pick a fav (it's jimmy). MAAN. What a show.. great passionate show tbh.

GOD is Kagu the best... BEAUTIFUL MAN. I loved all his focus episodes. It was also fun guessing how much he playing Racles or helping him, and now knowing that he's been believing in Racles since the wedding just makes me want to rewatch.

Who else is the best.. Jeramie.. I LOVED it when he stopped talking between the lines and blurted out what he feels. It's so cute.

Even Himeno! I love how passionate she was on the kingoh legends, it's a difference from Yanma who vaules tech more and learns to have faith in the legends. Yanma's so full of charm, really love him too. Rita is the best, what else can I say..

Impossible to pick a hard fav from the main kings.. easy tie with Rita and Kagu though for the top.... and Jeramie. They each have their strengths and I'm glad we got to see the odd dynamics near the end too.

For Gira, I really liked him ever since the first episode. His acting was great! Although I loved the doomed and fated sibling relationship, I think the show should of showed us more of Gra's thoughts when he thought he killed Racles. It's not really implied he knew he didn't die (unlike according to bts), I think Gira should of been more fucked up he killed his only family... Yano did a good job displaying on his face how their first duel really messed up.

Seeing through Racles lies/act was so satisfying, all the way back to his first fight with Gira, I knew something was up him. I loved his seemingly emotionless behavior in the first half, when he had the all the chances to kill his brother and didn't take it, episode 20 was fantastic in this regard, and we got SUCH a treat with 42 telling us all the truth. especially knowing all the context. And maaaaaaan, I knew his reaction to "killing" Yanma was special.. god if anything Kingoh gave us an amazing character arc with Racles. He had great dynamics with the other kings (Yanma n Jeramie in the second half), BUT I kinda wanted him to have more scenes with Rita though, considering he basically wrecked their country by trying to reveal the traitor. Him trusting Suzume with his life and wanting to reach out to Kagu <33333 one of my fav dynamics <33 tormented by the bees <;3 GOD kagrac was SOO real...

I love how his actions were never excused, both by the character and everyone. Just getting my thoughts about him during his worse validated was satisfying. His interactions with Jeramie and Yanma post reveal were my favorites.

Just.. being right about how power hungry he really was (not as an act).... Racles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually don't get swayed by shipping art but.. Suzume and Racles fanart really sold me on them.. the show really helped too, but.. I think they're so cute. Re-falling in love after being married is so.. IT'S SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I had ONE major complaint... other than the Bugnark's plight getting sidelined HARD in the second half, I think Suzume's character really fell to the wayside. I liked the Morphina and Suzume episode, but it really highlighted Kagu more than Suzume. It really should of been more about her feelings on ruling Tuofu than her dream of marrying someone she loved, cause why would that stop her from ruling???

They should of let him keep his facial hair. I have been seeking out his other works so far and I really do hope the film Wheel and Axle gets a release... it showed at a film festival so I assume it must have a subtitle track done.

I just got through the Earthlings arc during my SU rewatch and im absolutely facinated by Jaspers character

She’s such an effective antagonist for so long because she clashes with every other character so fundamentally. She’s got this completely foreign to the show worldview that is shown to be contrary to what the rest of the show is trying to say but she still feels like a real person and when you think about her she’s just as much a product of her circumstances as anyone else. She doesn’t want to talk it out with Steven because why would she? She was literally born to fight as has been doing so since the second she was born, it’s all she’s ever known and has been drilled into her head that that’s what’s expected of her, she’s rewarded for fighting well and watches as others are punished for doing badly, either by losing or by facing consequences for failing.

And then there’s the whole “perfect solider” part of her character. She was literally born more capable and with a higher status than everyone else. But because of the way home world is structured to reward her and punish people like the off-colours, she’s been indoctrinated into thinking that the reason she came out on top had nothing to do with how she was made and everything to do with her behaviour and attitude. Peak “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” type person but because it’s a fictional story you can see what happened to make her this way. Her and amethyst are fundamentally different, they’re different quartzes, they were born in different places, they were just created differently, from the start jasper was always going to be better at some things than amethyst and amethyst would be better at others than jasper. But because of the way jasper has been “raised” for lack of a better word she doesn’t see that, she doesn’t understand that her and amethyst are simply different gems who were made different, she’s better at fighting and is picture image of what a quartz “should” be so that means it’s possible and anyone who can’t live up to that standard simply isn’t trying hard enough. And she even manages to get that into amethysts head, if jasper is capable of this then that means that amethyst must be too, even tho that’s simply not true. Through no fault of her own amethyst would have to try infinitely harder to achieve even close to where jasper is, jasper started out with a huge head start and trying to play catch up does nothing but hurt amethyst. It’s such a good analogy for so many things I think

Her main role in the story is serving as a character who simply refuses to talk it out with Steven, but again, why would she? From her perspective the entire reason her life is like this, she reason shes spent her life fighting endlessly, all the suffering shes lives through, its his fault. Rose Quartz started the war she was quite literally born to fight in. Rose Quartz also ended that same war by killing the only person jasper ever had to look up to, forced her out of the only reason she had for existing (both as in to fight the war and to serve Pink Diamond). And then heres Rose Quartz once again, saying she wants to help her? Where was she offering help when jasper when she was living to fight as much as she was fighting to live? Where was this „help“ when she shattered Pink Diamond and Jaspers entire world with her? „Help“? Help my ass shes the reason everything thats gone wrong in jaspers life went wrong in the first place

And then she gets poofed at her lowest point, gets removed from the story entirely until Future, and Future does nothing to make anything better for her! Last jasper knew the person shes been seeking revenge on her entire existence cant even be bothered to remember what she did, and then she loses herself to the Earth and corruption, the very things she prided herself on being better than.

And then suddenly shes brought back and „hey guess what! That war we created you to fight in? The one you created your entire person around? The one you lost Everything in? Yeah so it was pointless. Actually the person you idolised for the past 6000 years is the same person who you thought killed her and have been seeking vengeance on for the same amount of time. Crazy how that happens. Anyways so do you wanna come hang out with us now that we sorted that out and were chill about it?“

Can you even IMAGINE what that feels like? No wonder she runs off into the woods and becomes a hermit what else is she supposed to do! Shes got nowhere to go! Her entire life has been turned on its head and she’s expected to just move on! That’s ridiculous!

And thats just the backdrop for her appearance in Future. When she finally does appear they kill her and thats the first and only time we ever see her happy. Someone Finally speaks to her in a way she can understand and she actually dies, and uses that to find herself a purpose. If steven is powerful enough to shatter her, a feat never before seen by a gem, then sure she can serve him, anything to give her life purpose again. and then they just forget about her! Steven literally ditched her in his house! They pull the rug out from under her Once Again. but now she can be „normal“ now she can do what other people want her to do so they all assume shes „better“ now.

I think future did her so dirty the original show handles her character So Well and im not really sure how else they could have gone further with her character because people like Jasper in real life dont really change. And if she were to change and agree with steven it would feel like the show saying steven was right and jasper was wrong and she should have listened to him from the start. Shes such an interesting character to delve into because shes the antagonist yes but shes a very specific type or antagonist that doesnt appear very often and when it does its not with as much backstory, even if just implied, or delving into the thoughts behind the actions. Its so interesting to me

Rewatching xo Kitty knowing the outcome, and I'm more convinced than ever that Dae deserved far better

Be warned, it’s a long one

That boy went through so fucking much. He TRIED to tell Kitty what was going on. He really tried.

He only got involved in the fake relationship thing with Yuri because he was at risk of being kicked out of school. His girlfriend lived on the other side of the world, as far as he knew, and the relationship with Yuri wasn't real. He is a teenage boy; he probably thought no one would get hurt. Yes, he was wrong to presume that. This isn’t a ‘Dae is perfect’ post. He isn’t. That’s what makes him so likeable to me. But he said himself - he only agreed it with Yuri four hours before he saw Kitty at the welcome party. He was completely blindsided by her, and STILL one of the first things he said to her was 'I need to tell you something'. HE TRIED TO TELL HER! But Yuri cut in. He cared about Kitty, but this was his future, and I completely understand why he went along with it. Given the chance to explain - which Yuri promised him he could do the following day - he knew Kitty enough to know she would understand. But he couldn't risk his future. One night wasn't worth getting kicked out of school for. Kitty completely blindsided him showing up out of the blue, and he was put on the spot. But this was his life. His education. His entire future.

It sucks that Kitty got hurt, but she was the one who flew across the world without telling him. Dae had to do what was best for him and his family, which was accepting Yuri's financial aid. Even after that, he tried to explain to her again. She refused to talk to him. And I get it, I really do. Again, these characters are teenagers and acting emotionally. Kitty was understandably furious and hurt. But Dae did not get the opportunity to explain then either. He tried again the next day, but there were bigger, far more powerful people involved, pulling the strings and manipulating him. This isn’t a grown man who should know better. This is a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD BOY! He is going through a lot. His mom has recently died. His family is brassic. His sister is being bullied, made worse by the fact her shoes are falling apart so everyone knows the family is poor, and you could see how upset Dae was that he couldn't help by getting her new shoes. He is at risk of getting kicked out of school because he can't afford the tuition. It seems obvious to me that his father is not coping well, and Dae is forced to step up and be there for his sister. At the same time, he is trying to be there for Kitty who, yes, has lost her mom, but she has no idea of the other struggles Dae faces. Should he have respected her enough to confide in her about his family situation? Probably. But I understand him making bad decisions as a teenager.

So someone comes along and offers to make all that stress go away. They're going to pay some of his school fees! And all he has to do is pretend to be in a relationship with them. Who wouldn't accept that offer? Then he is told to sign an NDA. Again, he is sixteen. He hasn't got a lawyer who can explain the implications to him. All he knows is he is getting a job and a salary and security for his family out of this deal where he just has to pretend to date a girl. The reality of it doesn't hit him until Yuri reminds him that he cannot tell Kitty about anything because now he has signed an NDA and will be sued. Everything he has been offered, all the great things for his family, are at risk of disappearing if he tells Kitty the truth. And at first he's going to do it anyway. He loves this girl, he trusts her, and he would do it to be with her... until Kitty herself proves she can't be trusted. She spilled the secret about Min Ho. At that point, he does the right thing for everyone involved. He literally cannot be with Kitty and tell her the truth without potentially getting himself SUED. He might love her, but they are teenagers. No high school romance is worth that risk, I don't care what anyone says. So he ends the relationship rather than string her along. And you can see it kills him to do it (big up Minyeong Choi's acting), but it is best for everyone involved. And tbf, he has little choice. His dad could lose his job too, and that is not worth it. It's just not. He doesn't have the luxury of acting out against his parents, like Yuri, and knowing she'll still never have to worry about a thing. He doesn't have the luxury of being able to do whatever the hell he wants, like Min Ho. He has a loving and supportive family unit in his father and sister, but everything they have is at risk. And he can fix it. He can make their lives easier by breaking his own heart. It is a selfless thing that he does.

I don't blame Kitty for her reactions. Again, she is a teenager, and she has an amazing family, a supportive step mom, financial security... ultimately, Kitty is a little spoiled by that. It's understandable. But she creates a lot of problems for herself with her lack of life experience. She needs to grow up a little bit, realise she doesn't know and understand everything, and give people a chance.

Min Ho was never really Dae's friend. He is a spoiled brat. He missed hanging out with him so he decides to throw his toys out the pram and be a jerk, just to have Dae back? That’s not teenager behaviour, that’s toddler behaviour. Okay, is he sweet to Kitty at times? Undoubtedly. I think he genuinely does grow to care about her. It doesn't make him any less of an asshole though. He could see how much his supposed 'best friend' was hurting, and he actively stirred the pot between him and Kitty, for his own agenda. Calling Yuri to tell her about the outdoors club. Insisting that Kitty was flirting with him. Pushing the 'Portland stalker' narrative. Telling Professor Lee about the dorm situation. Trying to make her get mad at Dae again when the truth came out and they got back together. GOING BEHIND HIS 'BEST FRIENDS' BACK AND TELLING THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE THAT HE WAS ALSO IN LOVE WITH HER AND BEING HAPPY SHE BROKE UP WITH HIM. He is an awful friend to Dae. And I'm not saying Dae is perfect, and there are definitely things he could have done better. But Min Ho is a spoiled, pretentious asshole who really doesn't care about anyone but himself and I hope Kitty doesn't develop feelings for him in return. He is used to getting everything he ever wanted, with no consequences (none that he cared about, anyway) and it’s boring. Kitty has shown zero romantic interest in him. Long may that continue.

Ultimately, Q is the only true friend that Dae has. I hope they will maintain that in season 2 by having him come clean about Florian. Otherwise, everything Dae has gone through for his family will be for nothing because he loses his room and board scholarship. I think Q has a strong sense of right and wrong, and a good moral compass, so regardless of his feelings for Florian, he will do the right thing. At least, I truly hope so.

Kitty and Dae need some time apart. They met when they were like twelve? And have been online dating ever since. They’ve never looked at anyone but each other romantically, and their entire being has been tied to this person who they couldn’t physically be with. That takes a toll. They need time apart to figure themselves out. Kitty, to explore her sexuality, and Dae to just get his life back on track. I truly believe that, in time, they could grow back together. I don’t think they can survive without each other. They’re too interwoven.

Anyway, a parting thought - JUSTICE. FOR. DAE.

so uh… i decided to rewatch AOUAD

as a result: gwi-nam x fem!reader smut, read at your own risk

summary: you two figure out a way to satisfy his halfbie bloodthirsty hunger. it does still involve eating you… just not in the way you’d expect. after all, blood doesn’t always come from a bite.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gwi-nam had been infatuated with you for a long time. Since freshman year, in fact- you’d come across him beating up someone else on any ordinary day.

“What’d he do?” you’d asked, curiously peering down at the kid’s cowering form.

“Uhh…” Gwi-nam didn’t really know what to say. “Why? You gonna report me?”

Your piercing eyes had met his, a smile ghosting across your face.

“Nah,” you’d said casually. “Just curious.”

Strange. She’s kinda pretty, though. “He, uh, snitched on me. I beat up his friend, who called my mom a whore,” Gwi-nam had said, glaring down at the kid, delivering another kick to his stomach.

Your face had twisted into an expression of disgust. You’d kicked him yourself, right in the spine. He’d arched his back in agony.

“You and your friend should learn to respect women, dumbass,” you’d hissed. “Go home and tell your mom why you’ve got all these bruises.”

And then you’d walked away, Gwi-nam watching you go with absolute fascination. That was the day he’d developed a massive crush on one of the most popular girls in school.

You’re best friends with Su-hyeok, and obviously he and Gwi-nam aren’t the hugest fans of each other. Still, no matter how hard he’d tried… you were always on his mind.

And then the world ended.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ You hadn’t managed to do much in the zombie apocalypse other than bleed, cry, and run a lot.

Of course there were upsides. You had your friends… and while you’d lost some of them, you had Cheong-san and Su-hyeok. That was enough, especially when you knew your parents didn’t give a fuck about you and hightailed it out of the city at the first sign of danger. Your friends were sort of all you had.

Naturally, you lost them too.

“Fuck fuck fuck,” you panted, listening to the sounds of the group run in the other direction. Someone, maybe Su-hyeok, called after you, but you ignored him.

Someone had to distract the zombies long enough for the rest of the group to get somewhere safe. You hadn’t stuck around long enough to run that idea by anyone. You hoped they’d be smart enough to not go after you.

You ducked into the first empty classroom you came across, slamming the door and pushing a desk against it.

At least it was dark enough that most of the zombies continued rampaging down the hallway, but a few that were at the front of the horde stuck around, clawing at the windows.

Well. Now that you’d gotten yourself into this situation, you figured you’d better have a game plan.

“Umm…” You spun in a circle, checking out the room.

Thankfully, there was only one door in from the hallway, and you’d just blocked it. No windows were broken, to the outside or the rest of the school. There were no desks and few chairs besides the teacher’s area, and there was a door to a storage room on the left.

You cautiously poked your head into the closet. It was dark, but you were pretty sure that pile of stuff in the corner was feathers and fabric. The shelves were littered with tons of strange objects and stacks of paper.

You shut the door with a groan. This was the theater classroom. There wouldn’t be anything useful here, other than a stray plastic sword or two.

Your abdomen suddenly flared up with cramps, a familiar uncomfortable warmth spreading between your legs. You slid to the ground, clenching your thighs together.

Well fuck you too, uterus, you thought grumpily. All of your stuff was in the cafeteria, and there was no way in hell you could get back there.

You had only just begun to plan how to American-ninja-warrior your way to the nearest bathroom and use toilet paper as a substitute when a knock at the door scared you out of your skin.

Yeah. Knocking.

You blinked in surprise. Do zombies knock?

“Wh-Who is it?” you managed, hating how much your voice shook. You stood nervously, tugging the hem of your uniform skirt down.

“Do you really think if I was undead I’d be knocking?” a bored and vaguely familiar sounding voice said, sounding way too casual for just standing in a hallway full of zombies.

You couldn’t even see him through the door’s windows from where you were standing, so you took a cautious step forwards. He was leaning on the doorframe, resting his head there as he spoke.

You tilted your head. “I know you, don’t I?”

“You gonna let me in, or am I spending the night in the hallway?” he said instead of answering.

You hesitated, but he’d been standing there for a little bit, and infection takes less than a minute to kick in. Plus he’s another human being. You decided to let him in.

“If you bite me,” you mumble as you shove the desk aside and slide the door open, “I’m gonna have serious trust issues for the rest of my very short life.”

You were surprised to hear him laugh. Somewhere down the hallway, there was a commotion and some running that sounded like zombies.

Hurriedly, you yanked him inside and returned the door to its previous position. When you turned to face him, you forgot how to function.

Gwi-nam. He was covered in blood, missing an eye, and holding a knife. You sort of hated that you still found him hot, but maybe that’s just horny period brain talking.

“It’s you,” you breathed. He shrugged, that stupid cocky grin of his splitting his face.

“What’s up, Y/N?” He opened his arms for a hug, but you punched him in the chest instead.

“How are you alive?” you hissed. “You’re missing a fucking eye! And you were just standing out there! Are you crazier than I remember you being? HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?”

He laughed again, grabbing your shoulders to steady you. You were warily aware of the knife in his left hand, but you ignored it in your happiness to see him.

“Come on, you think I don’t know the most popular and awesome girl in the school?” he teased. You glared at him suspiciously. You’d never seen him this… cheerful before.

“Are you high?” you asked dubiously, only half joking. You poked him in the nose. “You’re never this happy to see anyone. And your eyes are super red- holy shit are you actually?”

He smiled sheepishly, suddenly much less confident in himself. You tilted your head in curiosity.

“You’re special,” he mumbled. “And, uh… no, I’m not high. Well, kind of.”

“What’s-“ You couldn’t imagine what that meant. “Kind of?” You squinted at him.

He hesitated. “Will you freak out?”

Your smile faded, and you suddenly became very aware of his hands on you, which had transferred from your arms to your waist. You hadn’t even noticed. “What?”

“I would never hurt you,” he began, which was very out of character for him, but it was concerning. “I promise. Just let me explain everything, okay?”

The realization settled over you with a chilling horror. “You were bitten, weren’t you?” you said in distress, taking half a step back.

He followed, almost looking scared. “I was, but- I’m immune. Look.” He lifted his shirt to show you at least four different bite marks on his abdomen, then more on his arms. You ignored how much muscle he had and focused on the horror of what he was showing you. “See? All this was from around ten this morning. All that’s changed is I can hear way better, and all my pain is gone.”

You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. “You’re immune? How?”

“That I don’t know,” he grimaced. “But I’m okay. Although it is hella annoying only having one eye.” His expression darkened. “You haven’t seen Cheong-san, have you?”

“Not since… yesterday,” you said. “Why?”

“No reason.” He was smiling again. “Hey, wanna head down to the cafeteria? I don’t think those no-brainers out there can even see me. Free passage all over the school.”

Now that. That was a great offer. It also sounded like something as close to a date as you can get in this hellscape, and somehow you were glad it was with him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ It had been a full day with Gwi-nam. The two of you had already made out like three times (the first was after he jokingly presented your bag to you like a proposal once you’d reached the cafeteria), and now you’re sneaking back to find a good classroom to spend the night.

You pressed yourself into his side as a zombified classmate stumbled past the two of you, snarling and swiping at the air.

“I can’t believe they don’t notice us,” you whispered, your breath barely stirring the air.

Gwi-nam smiled in the moonlight, squeezing your hand tighter. “I know. It’s pretty cool, right?”

“Very. But-“ You paused, shuddering as a massive flow of blood made its way out of you. At least you’d had a chance to change super quick in the bathroom, but it’s not like the problem was entirely solved.

“What’s-“ He tilted his head towards you, face scrunching in concern. “Are you bleeding?”

“How did- better senses, that’s right,” you reminded yourself. “Um, yeah, I’m… you know.”

“Oh, okay.” He grinned, but then it faded. His stomach growled loudly.

You rolled your eyes. “I don’t know why you didn’t eat at all while we were down there.”

His face darkened. “I throw up regular food. I’ve tried. Raw meat has been the only thing that’s worked so far, but I haven’t had that in a while.”

Your stomach sunk at the realization of what he was saying.

“We just have to find… something. Maybe a class pet somewhere,” he said quickly, turning to cup your face. “I’d rather die than eat you, I promise. I won’t.”

You forced yourself to believe him. “I think Mr. Lee had a hamster, as sad as this is. I wonder, actually…” You trailed off, a strange thought crossing your mind.

It seemed to hit him at the same time.

“Hey, just saying… blood works great,” he hummed mischievously, backing you into the wall.

You grinned, wrapping your arms around the back of his neck. “Guess it’s time to eat, then.”

He hungrily connected your lips, but then drifted down to your collarbone to paint it red and purple. You sighed, letting your head fall back against the wall.

This boy does things to you. He’s always been hot, but holy shit, actually getting to taste him? It was almost euphoric.

Before you could make too much noise, he dragged you into the classroom across the hall, which was thankfully empty. Without disconnecting his lips from your skin, he nudged a desk over the door with his foot.

Without warning, he picked you all the way up, pressing you into the opposite wall, your thighs on either side of his face.

“Holy shit,” you gasped, caught off guard. “I think I forgot you have- better- FUCK.”

You cut yourself off when he lifted your skirt and pushed your underwear aside, immediately diving in. You knew he was technically satiating his own hunger, but he was so fucking good.

He mouthed a stripe up your entrance, then came back to suck at your clit agonizingly slowly. You tangled your hands in his hair, pushing him forward slightly, a silent plead to go faster.

He hummed, sending a tremor up your whole body. “Behave,” he mumbled against you. “If you’re good, I’ll be nice.”

You whimpered in response, running a hand through his hair.

For a while all he did was lick up and down your entrance, giving you almost nothing. Resisting the urge to use his face to fuck yourself was one of the most difficult things you’d ever done, but you let your head fall back against the wall, your bottom lip caught between your teeth.

But then he pushed his tongue inside you with no warning, and you gasped out a strangled moan.

He grinned against you, reaching down to circle your clit with his thumb.

“‘S this feel good?” he teased. Your grip tightened on his head.

You were faintly aware of the fact that if you screamed, you’d attract every zombie in the school. But with Gwi-nam’s face buried in your core, right on the edge, you couldn’t care less.

It didn’t take long for your vision to go white, and thankfully your orgasm was silent. Your eyes rolled up in your head, which hit the wall behind you once more, and pleasure rolled through you in waves. Once the stimulation became too much, you tapped Gwi-nam’s head, and he set you down.

Your legs immediately buckled, and he caught you with a barely restrained laugh. Red dripped from his face onto his shirt, your red, and it should not have been as hot as it was.

“Fuck, I love you,” you managed, collapsed against his chest. You were still half-delusional from the brain melting orgasm he managed to give you after only a few minutes.

“Is it that easy to slut you out?” he teased. You could only manage to swat at him half-heartedly.

“Fuck off,” you grumbled, and he finally did laugh, letting you sit so he could wipe his face with his shirt.

You spent the night curled up in his arms, laying with his back towards the door, just in case. But even though the world was ending, you had no family, and your friends were potentially dead, there was nowhere you’d rather be.

Hey! So, I know you probably haven't watched it yet, BUT: when you do, I must know your comprehensive thoughts on the latest Rookie episode!?!

ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE!!!

Okay, because I'm insane, I'm going to split this into two sections: not-chenford, and chenford.

SPOILERS FOR 6x02 UNDER THE CUT

First up, everything NOT-chenford-related:

Honestly they could have botched it, but it was SO FUN having Randy back for the wedding. "Sit down, German, I got this." i mean???? iconic. Also having him be literally in Pete's place and WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND? even more iconic. I'm a ride or die Randy fan, so all his scenes just made me unreasonably happy :)

it was understandably short, but I loved having Celina ride with Nyla, finally. It was kind of satisfying to see her get humbled in interrogation, because imo Nolan has been kind of lax with her training, letting her get away with things the other rookies would have been fired for. So it's nice that she'll spend some time away from him and with a *ahem* more experienced TO. hopefully. We'll see.

Ugh, my heart breaks for Aaron this season. Kid's traumatized for REAL. And his comment to Celina about not sharing things with the therapist because he wants to get back on patrol, not necessarily get better. That bothered me. I really hope they dig into that a lot. But I also hope nothing horrible happens because of it. He seemed so unstable, even when he wasn't drunk. I'm also very interested to see where this goes with his and Celina's friendship. Just a lot of good stuff that could be a really thoughtful and interesting story if handled right...

Aaaaand this episode confirms that I intensely dislike Bailey. Everything about her character is just trying too hard, like the writers were so tired of having Nolan date and break up a few times, they were like okay fine this one can stay, and even though they have chemistry readings in the negatives, they keep trying to push it even though it feels so wrong. I'd rather have Nolan be single the rest of the show than be in this stale cardboard relationship. But it's fine, they're not going to split them up now, so I'll have to deal with it lol

The whole thing with Oscar suing was SO rushed. Like, so insanely rushed I couldn't even be annoyed at him. I hope they bring him back and do it for real, because that was weird to kind of shoehorn in there just for dramatic effect.

EPIC COP TEAMUP IN SUITS AND TIES MY BELOVEDDDD. Seriously they all looked SO GOOD chasing down bad guys and beating people up. White dress shirts were truly the MVPs of this episode

Will Celina just. be wearing long sleeves the rest of her life? Seriously how long has she been a rookie already?? Most of Angela's pregnancy and maternity leave, so at least 10 months, if not more. Hell, she should be graduating from the program soon. The timeline in this show is absolute trash.

Speaking of-- Baby Wopez name drop when????? poor girl's been nameless for too long

James coming in clutch with the playlist was chef's kiss. I LOVE that man

ALSO JAMES AND WESLEY'S BROMANCE. "I went with a suit." "Me too. Mine has a tie." "Oh my god, same!" I CAN'T WITH THESE TWO. Probably my favorite bromance of anyone ever.

Finally, just in general-- I know some people were put off by how much stuff was jam-packed into 42 minutes (again. how???) but I think they pulled it off reasonably well. There was actually very good pacing, lots of comedy and angst and everything in between. I personally LOVED this episode and I think it deserves a few rewatches just to pick up on everything they threw at us. It has its flaws, but it will definitely be a 100th episode to remember, that's for sure.

AND NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.

Here we go!

I'm just a little bit torn on how they decided to approach this. On the one hand, it was nice that they were still able to work together and talk without excessive drama. Although... Tim shutting the door on her did hurt. Yeah. That hurt a lot. But I had really hoped that they would acknowledge that Lucy was in the wrong last episode too. She was being completely unreasonable and like Tim said, she was projecting. But in this ep, it seemed like she was validated and he was the one being unreasonable. While his trauma with Isabel is something they desperately need to talk about (like Lucy said), she was also reacting too harshly to it and being unfair with her accusations. But honestly, it's okay. We still have 8 episodes to sort it out and it seems like they're very much on the right track. I'm hoping they have a really really really intense, tearful, honest, raw, cathartic conversation about the whole thing. Seems like that's the direction they're going, so I won't hold my breath but it is something that needs to happen.

ALL OF THEIR INTERACTIONS were just so. hnnggg. so chewy. so much going on. THE LOOKS DURING THE WEDDING. hang on I'll come back to that in a sec.

The scene with the Hammer was NEXT LEVEL. (Also fun that they named the episode after That Scene, specifically. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........) For some reason I immensely enjoyed watching Tim get thrown around like a rag doll. Not sure what that's about. Never seen that side of myself before.

THE FORESHADOWING. That on-one-knee thing was more than I thought they'd give us, and OMG I ATE IT UP. The little pause, where Lucy's breath kind of catches, and Tim just seems kind of oblivious. THAT'S CINEMA, BABEY.

Kind of insane about Tim just passing out like that. Poor man.

CELINA MENTIONING LUCY'S BACHELORETTE PARTY????? hello even more foreshadowing :))))

The scene cuts back and forth when Lucy is helping with the cake and Tim with the flowers??? THEY'RE TELEPATHIC SOULMATES DON'T TALK TO ME.

And the fact that the lie detector was RANDY'S IDEA? I'm shrieking. "Ein wenig crazy," is definitely something my adhd bilingual ass has said irl

oh my lord how CLOSE she scoots her chair?? i'm melting

I thought it was kind of a nice touch to have Tim be actually surprised by the lie detector picking up his answer to the last question being a lie. Because honestly.... now it makes a little more sense: he's been lying to himself. Which is kind of an angle I didn't see coming. "I guess we do have a problem," sounds to me like he literally hasn't been able to admit to himself that he doesn't want Lucy undercover. Of course he wants her to make detective, that's not a question. Detective doesn't equal undercover. But he's been telling himself probably since day one that he's fine with it, that she's not Isabel, that he has nothing to worry about . . . and now he's finally seeing that he really is terrified. Something she's seen in him all along. And while their argument last episode was about more than just this (I still believe she was in the wrong for projecting so hard and making crazy assumptions about him), I think I can see where the writers were going with it.

THE I LOVE YOUS D E S T R O Y E D ME

Okay, back to the Looks at the wedding. Tim being all 🧍and scanning the crowd for his girl . . . Lucy delivering the Heart Eyes of the century . . . Them still sitting together because even though they're fighting, they're still each other's person, and nothing can change that . . . I'm going into cardiac arrest.

In my book, "We're gonna get through this" is a nice breath of fresh air and a bit of relief, but it doesn't mean they've worked everything out. Again, they need a good solid conversation. One that this episode was never going to give us, sadly. But it'll come!

ALSOOOO that moment when Aaron interrupts them and we see Tim's hand around her waist, I just OOF i need a moment

I AM NEVER GONNA BE NORMAL ABOUT THIS EPISODE. the foreshadowing, the parallels, the pining, the dancing, the fighting, the emotions, EVERYTHING. It was not perfect but it was WONDERFUL. 10000/10, I need to watch all their scenes about five million more times.

AND THERE WE HAVE IT. I'll definitely be posting more thoughts soon, but that's where I'm at for now. Basically I think they set the groundwork for a really solid, healthy relationship going forward. I LOVED their moments in this ep, absolutely top tier. The ANGST. I am eating up every second of it.

Hazbin Hotel Season 1 Finale Thoughts

Honestly, didn't know entirely what to expect going into this. For some reason I remember enjoying the Helluva Boss pilot more than Hazbin Hotel, so I was surprised when the first 4 episodes dropped and I was hooked. I have many thoughts, and a few theories? Kinda curious what others think. (Haven't done something like this before so sorry if it's rambly/dumb.)

I don't have as much to say about episode 7, but there were some standout moments. This episode helped tie 6 and 8 together well with the amount of content they both covered. Songs were all pretty good, the final one was probably the best of the bunch but I'd have to rewatch. I'm not sure anything can top Stayed Gone or Hell's Greatest Dad for me though (unless Alastor and Vox have another duet).

-Alastor. Need I say more? I mean he's clearly up to something, and he made a deal with Charlie to help him in the future. Is this because of the deal HE made before that Husk mentioned? Maybe if Charlie is more powerful than the one he made the original deal with she can break it? Idk, but seems important. Sus behavior, but he does it with such style I can't be mad.

-I really loved how they didn't dwell on Charlie and Vaggie's relationship issues too much, just enough. Like it wasn't drawn out to the point of, okay we get it, you're hurt just talk it out. They had reasons to feel the way they did, but they do truly love eachother so ultimately it worked out. Rosie's talk with Charlie was refreshing. Speaking of..

-ROSIE. Rosie is so sweet! I had no idea what to expect from her, but she's great! Her and Alastor's friendship was nice to see. Very different than the one he has with Mimsie, but he seems quite fond of them both. Honestly the entire cannibal town I liked way more than expected. Susan's antics were a highlight, even Alastor made a comment about Susan. Charlie losing her cool with Susan also made me laugh out loud.

-Carmilla instantly knowing Vaggie was an exorcist was so amusing, because she basically listed all the points fans theories did as reasons for that being the case. Their dance/battle practice was very well choreographed, and I liked the song.

Okay Episode 8.

-Vox's commentary throughout the episode was so damn funny. (I love him, he's so pathetic.)

-I saw some saying that including the before battle scene was bad for pacing but I couldn't disagree more. I'm glad we got to see all the main crew interact in the hotel before shit went down. Angel's chill convo with husk, the maniacal laughter shared between Nifty and Alastor, and Sir Pentious trying and (mostly) failing to rizz up Cherry Bomb. Glad she was included in the fight, makes sense for her character and friendship with Angel.

-The "More than Anything" reprise (along with events in episode 7) helped me appreciate Charlie and Vaggie's relationship a lot more. I think we just needed more time with them.

-The entire fight segment was.. well it was alot but I liked it! I like how we got see how different members of the cast fight in their own way (meanwhile the Vees are eating popcorn). The comentary about the angelic weapons being what can damage them was funny.

-Vox's reaction to Alastor and Adam facing off made me laugh so hard I fell out of my chair. I had to pause the episode for like, 5 minutes. I don't know how I can ever recover from Vox's reaction to Alastor being "Oh fuck, I'm so hard right now." Shit was hilarious.

-I didn't think we'd see Alastor and Adam face off, but actually, that makes a lot of sense. While Charlie should be more powerful, she hadn't used her powers from what we'd seen. (more on that in a bit)

-"I'm about to end your fucking life" went so hard. That line didn't have to go so hard.

-I thought Alastor was gonna die for a sec, I should have known better. But I was still traumatized.

-Sir Pencious. The true rizz master. If not for one other, he may have been the MVP, but he certainly had the most heart. He even got to confess, good for him. Very glad he got redeemed, maybe we will still see him around. Sera and Em's reaction to seeing him was hilarious/precious.

-Lucifer appears to save the day! I wasn't sure if we'd see him but thank goodness we did. Charlie and her dad both ended up fighting to save those they love. His beef with Adam was hilarious, and super valid.

-"It's fuck you UP, Dad" Charlie whispers while everyone else looks at Lucifer with confusion.

-Nifty the true MVP. We should give her a giant flyswatter asap, for a certain moth.

-Honestly wasn't expecting Adam to die . That really caught me off guard. I guess Lute is now in charge of the exorcists, so it'll be interesting to see how that plot line continues (obviously with Lilith, which I will bring up later). Doubt this would happen, but it would be hilarious if Adam respawned in hell as a sinner for everything he's done.

-Finally, Charlie get's some positive press for her hotel and friends.

-"Charlie told me to stab, so I did".

-I loved seeing the team rebuilding the hotel, they're bonding! The memorial for Sir Pentious, and either razzle or dazzle was a nice touch. I will miss Sir Pentious's chemistry with the group, I hope he's able to visit.

-I watched the QnA with Vivzie, and Charlie and Alator's VA's. They mentioned Alastor has alot more going on and based on that final scene with him, and the deal he made with Charlie, I see Alastor playing a much more active role next season. He's very bothered by "the constrains of his deal". Possible villain arc? Hell he could be the final big bad (prob not), but as long as it involves Alastor it'll be entertaining. Meaning he can't double die. I would be devastated.

-I normally don't get into shipping, and I may be biased (fuck you Val) but in all seriousness I still can't see Vox and Val as anything more than friends with benefits. Mostly because I don't think Val is capable of anything more than that. That and Vox is a pathetic lonely man who thinks Alastor ran off again, and possibly died. Velvette will def be using that image for blackmail. This isn't really a point, I just had an urge to bring it up. (realizing as I type this that the Vox tag will be filled with Val as well for a while. Definitely need that oversized flyswatter lmfao also Vox having a functional tongue is... well that's information.)

-Is Alastor's mic permanently broken? I noticed his voice didn't have a filter right after, but I think it returned during the song. I thought I remebered reading that was part of him, so how does that work? Can it heal? Does he lose some power?

- Can't wait to see how Vox reacts when he finds out Alastor is ALREADY back lmfao and don't think I didn't notice THIS IMAGE.

Cause that's def an old picture of Alastor and Vox and I need answers. Not only that, Alastor allowed a picture to be taken with him in it, no static. Is Vox the only reason Alastor is so against cameras? I love whatever is going on between those two, even if I don't fully understand it (other than Vox having a hate boner). Whatever it is, their beef isn't nearly over yet, and with the Vees seemingly wanting to take over, things should get very interesting.

-Lilith what the hell. Why are you chillin on a beach in heaven, what have you been up to? She clearly knows about the exterminations and everything going on. Now apparently to stay in heaven, she has to help stop Charlie?? What is Lute planning here?

Anyway, those are my very disorganized thoughts about the finale. I'm excited for Season 2. Anyway, if you will excuse me, I have some things to draw, and stuff. Probably Vox and Alastor. Probably.

Hoshi was moving the camera around, showing the viewers a few parts of the makeup trailer while describing what could be seen. His ears perked up when there was suddenly a familiar high-pitched laugh in the background, getting closer to the room he was in. He directed the camera to the entrance, showing the first person that joined him, his fellow '96 Liner,

"Wonwoo's here," he commented, followed by a quick, "Oh, and Minnie too, I thought I heard your voice."

The girl glanced at the performance team leader with wide eyes, looking like a dear caught in headlights before she quickly covered it with a big grin.

[girlie looking a little sus]

She made her way to the empty spot next to Hoshi, sitting down on the rather uncomfortable couch.

"I'll be filming Wonwoo as he changes into his outfit today," he continued entertaining the viewers, getting interrupted by a chuckle from the female member. "What?" He wondered.

"I don't know how appropriate that is for the Seventeen youtube channel,"

[very appropriate, don't worry minnie]

The camera was on her, filming her side profile while she kept her eyes straight ahead.

"But the viewer ratings would go up for sure," she added,

making the tiger laugh out loud, whereas the other '96 Liner turned his head to her, smiling in amusement,

"What the hell are you talking about?"

Minnie teased him, a shy grin playing on her lips,

"Right?" She sent a quick look into the lens before directing her attention to Hoshi, who nodded in agreement.

The three continued staying in the trailer, talking for a few more minutes when Wonwoo took a bag of chips off the table and threw himself onto the seating era, munching on the snack. He offered the bag to the girl, who declined, but Hoshi gladly took it out of the '96 Liner's grasp as he was called to change his outfit.

The camera was filming close shots of the leader's face when a hand suddenly covered his eyes.

"Why are you covering my eyes?" He chuckled at the girl's sudden action.

"Wonwoo's changing," she answered in the most normal possible tone, making Hoshi only chuckle again.

[gatekeeping her boyfriend, #girlboss]

"Then I should be the one covering your eyes idiot," he reached forward with his hand but only managed to brush over her nose and lips as she squirmed away with a giggle.

[she's so cute, pls help me]

Dokyeom, Seungkwan, and Mingyu were dancing in the middle of the practice room, the camera filming every second of what was happening, when, in the back, Minnie had come through the door and Wonwoo with his hands on her shoulders, right behind her.

The girl stopped in her tracks, making the rapper come to a halt as well as they both eyed the scene in front of them. Minnie scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. She sighed, shook her head with a smile, and stepped inside, turning around right away to interlock her arm with Wonwoo's as they continued making their way further into the room.

[eye emoji]

On the set of his music video for 'Spider', Hoshi kept his gaze on the monitor, rewatching what they had just shot when two people, in thick jackets and masks, started approaching him from behind. With slow and quiet steps they got closer until they stopped right behind him, only to reach out, place their hands on his torso and basically scare the crap out of that man. He jumped up and immediately turned around, the camera showing the two intruders - Wonwoo and Minnie.

[they're literally everywhere together]

"Woah," Hoshi exclaimed with a big smile, his hand still over his heart, "You scared me, for real." The three laughed together, and the '96 Liner went in to hug the couple, "I didn't know you guys were coming."

"I forced Wonwoo to come with me," Minnie explained, getting a chuckle from the two men.

[OF COURSE, SHE DID]

[dominant minnie, we love it]

The rapper was quick to defend himself, "I wanted to come along. On free will."

[hm, sure wonwoo]

[he doesn't want to admit that minnie's the dom in the relationship]

As Hoshi had to go back to filming, the cameraman asked the couple to say a few words.

"I'm really excited for my leader's solo song. I wanted to come and see what he planned since he had put a lot of hard work into this. He's even getting half naked for Carats," Minnie chuckled, turning to the side to get another glimpse of the scene they were about to shoot.

Wonwoo scrunched his eyebrows, "Your leader?" To which Minnie nodded, and he smiled, "S.Coups is not gonna like that." But she just shrugged with a laugh,

"I'm loyal to Hoshi. Once S.Coups does something like this, I'll be loyal to him."

Before she could say another thing, a hand suddenly covered her eyes, making her giggle,

"What?" Her hands came up to push Wonwoo's down, but it didn't even budge.

"Hoshi's half-naked right now," the '96 Liner answered her, smiling along to the sound of her laughter.

The next clip showed the short moment when Minnie and Wonwoo visited Minghao on the set of his 'Side by Side' music video. Standing next to each other, the girl, once again, had her arm interlocked with his as they waved to the other '97 Liner who was sitting on the couch that was part of the scene he was filming.

"We're here!" They shouted together, their eyes showing how bright their smiles underneath the masks were.

THE ENTIRE FREAKING EGO EPISODE

As Wonwoo walked towards the door to their right, ready to open it with the key the couple had just acquired, Minnie was hot on his step, her gaze switching behind her every now and then.

[she literally almost never left his side during this entire episode]

"Shouldn't we open the other door as well?" She wondered, her voice quiet, not wanting to trigger any more jump scares even though she knew they would come sooner or later.

The rapper's head snapped towards her, "Hm?" He hummed, "That door?" And nodded towards the mentioned door on the other side of the room. The girl motioned 'yes' with her head before Wonwoo managed to open the lock and get rid of the chain around the door handle. Minnie squirmed at the sight of the creepy-looking room ahead of them as her hands immediately found their way to wrap around his bicep.

[HER HANDS]

[i want to touch his arm like that too pleeeaaasee]

"I think we should really maybe look into the other room first," she repeated her words, tugging on his arm gently, making the man chuckle.

[we saw that wonwoo]

"You just want to drag out going further," to which she nodded with a straight facial expression.

[STOP]

[THEY'RE SO CUTE]

Wonwoo agreed and took both of them to the other side of the room, opening the entrance to take a step inside. The girl behind him quickly shook her head,

"Nevermind," and backed off, "You've got to be kidding me. Why would they do something like this?"

The '96 Liner chuckled, "You like horror movies, don't you?"

"Yeah, but this is a little too real. Horror movies aren't real," she defended herself, taking a few steps back and waited for him to join her again.

"Some horror movies are real," he commented, earning him a gentle nudge out of annoyance,

"Why did you have to say that now?"

[we need more of this teasing omg]

He passed her, walking towards the opened door, wanting to continue their journey further into the building. Minnie's eyes were fixed on the dark room to her left, and, for some reason, her feet dragged her closer towards it. She dared to take another closer look inside, a chill shooting through her body as she analysed the weirdly placed body and the strings attached to it. Turning her head, she was about to open her mouth but noticed how much further away Wonwoo already was and was quick to jog towards him before he could disappear out of her sight.

"Hey, wait up for me," she whined out loud, getting him to stop in his tracks and wait for her to catch up with him.

[dude stopped, IMMEDIATELY]

[he ain't leaving his girlie behind]

"Should we go downstairs?" Wonwoo asked, even though it was more of a rhetorical question as they knew they didn't have much of a choice.

Minnie found the gaze of her boyfriend, immediately shaking her head as their eyes locked.

"You can stay behind me," he offered her,

[GENTLEMANY WOO]

taking the first step down that would lead them into the dark. Without waiting for an answer, he continued going down the set of stairs, feeling her presence close behind him the entire time and the gentle brush of her fingertips against his hand, knowing she wanted nothing more but to hold onto it tightly, so he engulfed hers in his.

[THE EDITORS DIDN'T EVEN CARE TO CUT THIS OUT]

[WE'RE GETTING ALL THE LITTLE INTERACTIONS AND TOUCHES, AAAAAAH]

The couple was exploring the floor and had reached the dark room with a couch in the middle of it and lockers lined up against the wall.

"This is the one without a padlock," Minnie pointed at it as hesitant steps took her inside, "That's the one we're not supposed to open..." she made sure to keep a good distance between her and the cupboard. Her eyes didn't leave Wonwoo's form as he got closer to the lockers. "And we have to find out how to open the other one."

The rapper grabbed the lock to inspect it before dropping it and moving to the right locker, knocking on it for some reason, making the girl jump and rush over to him, pushing his arm down,

"Why the hell would you do this?!" She quietly shouted at him, scared of the consequences his actions might have.

[i get you, babes]

[i would've punched him so hard, ngl]

Wonwoo shrugged, "It said not to open it. That doesn't mean we can't knock on it."

Minnie's facial expression read nothing but confusion, "What kind of logic is that?"

[nah bc fr]

He continued nudging into the locky harshly, the sound of metal echoing through the room, making the '97 Liner shiver as she continued to slap his arm away, "Wonwoo!"

[i can't tell if he really was curious or just wanted to tease her but I'm putting money on the latter]

"I think someone's inside," his comment didn't do anything to soothe her, "But they're probably not gonna jump out."

Something inside her told her to try and glance through the little slits at the top of the locker, and for some reason, she decided to listen to that voice and stood up on her tippy toes, trying to sneakily look inside. As expected, she couldn't see anything - which she definitely was glad for.

"Not unless we open it, but don't provoke it. Who knows. So stop." She warned him one more time, and with a sigh, she took a few steps back, just in case, continuing to eye the locker suspiciously.

The two had gone back into the room that held different files and documents about certain 'patients'. They were looking through each one of them, with Wonwoo reading some out loud.

Minnie chuckled to herself, but it caught the rapper's attention, making him hum and raise his eyebrows. She shook her head, "I don't understand any of this"

[i didn't even understand anything with the subtitles, babes, so don't worry]

Her comment made him smile as well.

[he isn't even hiding his amusement, it's so cute, i can't]

Minnie did understand it a little bit, but some of the vocabulary that was used in the files was medical stuff she never had anything to do with. They shared a moment of silence before the oldest took the word,

"You can go and look for more clues if you want to," he suggested, immediately noticing the perplexed expression the girl sent him.

"Are you being funny now? You want me to go around here on my own?"

[straight up, kick him for that idea bc wtf wonwoo]

She pointed behind her, taking a quick glance as well, coming to sight with the dark once again and the weird lighting that lit up the room slightly.

Wonwoo shrugged, "Maybe you'll find something else."

With a sigh, she found herself defeated and decided to step over her shadow, reminding herself that she usually was someone that enjoyed adrenaline and watching horror movies. This was unlike her, but for some reason, the situation was more uncomfortable for her than she had imagined it would be. She passed the mannequin in the chair and was back in the hallway they had reached after walking down the stairs. She also didn't even look into the room with the locker,

"Nope, not going in there,"

[SAME GIRL]

she whispered to herself, taking a few steps further before she was about to round the corner when she came to sight with total darkness ahead of her. "Not going there either,"

[i'm so sorry, but i literally laughed so hard]

she shook her head, jumping back.

Once she wanted to get back to Wonwoo, the glass door seemed to be another thing she was interested in as it possibly could hold a clue to their further steps. She didn't get too close, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw something in the mirror, making her jolt as she dared to take a peak. Minnie jumped and whimpered out loud as it was clear to see what she could see through the mirror.

"Oppa...," she raised her voice slightly,

[LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS]

[we all know, minnie doesn't just call anyone that]

[so how tf, could they have kept this in]

[SHE BASICALLY JUST OUTED THEM]

hoping the man in the other room could hear her. She backed off quickly before her steps turned into a jog, running back to where the '96 Liner was still going through the documents. "Wonwoo!"

"What?" He reacted quickly, raising his head to watch the girl heading toward him. "What is it?" He asked again, surprised by the rush she seemed to be in.

She ushered for him to come closer, "Come, come." Leaning forward to get a hold of his hand to make him follow her back to the glass door, they at first thought might be an exit.

[he gets dragged like that by mingyu AND by minnie]

"What did you find?" Wonwoo wondered, but the girl didn't answer him until they came to a halt.

She pointed straight ahead, slightly out of breath, "Look at the mirror."

Minnie received a perplexed look in return, "What?"

She shook her head, "Just look." Without asking another question, Wonwoo got closer to the mirror, looking at him first before directing his gaze around, trying to see what his girlfriend was talking about.

"Is there something I'm supposed to see?" He asked her.

"Yes!" She walked up to stand next to him, glancing at the mirror in the same angel as before, only to be disappointed by what she saw - nothing. "Huh?" In confusion, she walked past Wonwoo to get closer to the door, leaning in slightly, trying to tilt her head to be able to see to the side. "What the heck..." Minnie mumbled.

"What?" The rapper joined her, staring out into the darkness, wondering what she had seen before.

"I swear to God...," she turned back around towards him, "There was something- someone."

[first wonwoo during that tag episode, now her...]

"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Wonwoo! Happy Birthday to you!" At the sound of Minnie's singing echoing through the room, Wonwoo looked up, finding her standing by the door, a small cupcake in her hands.

Before he could say anything, Dokyeom's head appeared in the doorway,

"Happy Birthday, hyung!" He quickly shouted, disappearing again, leaving the couple and a few of their staff members alone in the room.

Wonwoo chuckled, thanking DK before smiling at the female member, "What are you doing here?" His eyes didn't leave her form as she put the cupcake down on the table in front of him, still staying behind the camera though. "I already blew out candles," he commented at the burning candle on the dessert.

[he didn't stop smiling the entire time]

[I'm not even lying]

Minnie shrugged with a grin, "Doesn't mean you can't do it again."

He grinned, "Everyone," directing his gaze towards the camera, "Minnie's now here too," and read some comments at the same time, "They want to see you." He looked up at the girl, who was quick to make her way around the table and sit down next to him on the couch after he had scooted over.

"Hi, guys," she greeted the fans watching the Vlive with a bright smile.

[i need someone that looks at me the way he looks at her, i can't do this anymore]

She pointed at the candle, making Wonwoo hum in question. "You have to blow it out."

Minnie picked it up with two hands and held it up higher, giving Carats a view of the dessert. "I made it," she smiled proudly, making Wonwoo laugh out loud,

"You bought this."

"How would you know?" The girl raised her eyebrows at him in a teasing manner. He copied her facial expression,

making both of them chuckle as they shared a short second of silence, just looking into each other's eyes.

"Because you said you had to leave for a second, and suddenly you're back with this."

"I had to leave because of a call," she joked, trying to talk herself out of it quickly, but Wonwoo only laughed at her.

"Sure."

[AND THE BICKERING CONTINUES]

Before he was able to say anything more, Minnie spoke up impatiently, "Just make a wish and blow the candle out."

"Can you sing happy birthday in french for me?" He grinned cheekily at her facial expression.

"In french? Why?"

[OUR DUDE HAS A THING FOR FRENCH, *insert wolve whistle]

"I like it," he shrugged, but the girl shook her head with a nervous chuckle,

"Later. Maybe.“

[WHAT DO YOU MEAN, LATER?!]

"You're gonna get your present later," Minnie told him after he had given her a bite of his birthday cake.

Wonwoo looked at her in confusion at first, "But you already gave me a present," which turned into an amused smile when she glanced at him perplexed. Within a short moment, the light in her brain switched on, and she stared at him wide-eyed, sending him a message with her eyes, shouting 'shut the fuck up' in her head.

[WHAT'S THAT LOOK?!]

Wonwoo, Mingyu, Minnie, and S.Coups were standing in a corner on the set of the Bittersweet music video, munching on some snacks their leader had brought.

"He's the leader of our hip-hop team," the '96 Liner told the camera.

"And we're the members," the younger rapper added.

"And Minnie is our new member," Wonwoo ended their explanation,

making the girl, who was snuggled into the leader's side, chuckle.

"I'm the hip-hop team's official fourth member," she smiled, making her boyfriend copy her expression.

Minnie was giving a brief explanation of some of the scenes they had shot on their first day when she felt two hands on her shoulders. In the next moment, Minghao, who had come to visit, was standing next to her, with his arm around her shoulder as he eyed her down.

"Wasn't Wonwoo wearing that jacket before?" He wondered.

[HA, CALLED OUT RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA]

The female member nodded, getting a hold of the collar to pull it tighter around her frame, "But I was cold, so he gave it to me."

Her fellow '97 Liner smiled, "Gentleman," nodding along with her as she chuckled, "very good."

[HE KNOWS]

They were about to shoot the next scene, therefor Wonwoo was already sitting by the bar, waiting for the filming to start. Minnie hadn't shown up yet, but, speaking of the devil, she had just come in and taken her place behind the bar.

"Oooh, pretty girl," Wonwoo whistled,

making the female turn around and stare at him in shock, hoping the makeup was covering the blush that she felt coming to her cheeks.

She quickly looked around and found a piece of cloth to throw at him

Minnie laughed, "You just sounded like one of those guys in movies and tries to woo the bartender in a really gross way."

"Did you just call me gross?" The rapper chuckled, putting the cloth to the side.

"I called what you said gross," she defended herself,

sending him a bright grin before they had to start filming and acting seriously.

Hoshi had come to visit the trio on set, and the camera found all four of them outside, lost in a conversation.

"Watching them shoot in person," the performance team leader explained, "gets me really excited. I kept watching through the monitor and wow..." He stopped for a second, letting his last words linger in the air as the trio continued to look at him in anticipation. "Now with the last scene I watched, I noticed how good Minnie and Wonwoo look together on camera," he suddenly mentioned, making the trio chuckle.

Minnie, who was standing next to Wonwoo, her arms wrapped around his right arm, leaned into his shoulder, trying to hide her smile.

"Thank you, Hoshi," she smiled at him.

For their special performance video for Bittersweet, Mingyu, Wonwoo, and Minnie were dressed up in nicer clothing, with the guys in dress pants and button-ups and the girl in a skirt and pretty top. To accentuate her legs, the stylist gave her some knee-high boots that made it harder for her to walk. Her waddles made Minnie giggle as she made her way towards the other two members that had already taken place in front of the bar set.

Once she came to view, Mingyu started laughing as well and tapped Wonwoo's legs before motioning for him to turn around and look at the female dancer.

"Are you okay?" Wonwoo wondered, getting up to offer his arm to help her walk.

Minnie nodded, "Yeah," and chuckled to herself, "The shoes are just really hard to walk in."

"Why are you wearing them then?" Her fellow '97 Liner wanted to know, moving to the side slightly as the director asked for the girl to be in the middle of both men.

The female grinned, "Because they look good."

[HAHAHAHA SAME]

Her comment made Wonwoo shake his head.

While Mingyu got called out to get his makeup touched up, the older rapper and Minnie got instructions for the shooting of the video,

"And I was thinking that we could put Minnie up here," pointing to the bar, "So you'd sit on the counter."

"With that skirt?" Wonwoo immediately asked, making the girl smile,

"You can't see anything," she assured him and agreed to get up on the counter. A staff member offered to get them a stool, but the '96 Liner stopped him. In the next moment, he had his hands on Minnie's hips, and she had hers on his shoulders, as they nodded to each other before she bent her knees slightly, ready to jump, and he raised her up to put her down onto the counter.

The rapper continued to stand in front of her while she tried to pull her skirt down as good as possible and crossed her legs to sit more elegantly.

Once she was done, Wonwoo stepped aside and took a seat on the stool to her left.

Minnie saw Mingyu and Wonwoo in front of the cameraman for their Inside Seventeen episode and decided to sneak up on them, stopping a few centimetres behind them.

"Mingyu promised to buy us something delicious," the '96 Liner explained to the camera, getting a glimpse of the female member out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head and motioned for her to come closer, taking a small step to the side, so she would fit in between them.

"What do you want to eat?" Mingyu asked him, realising Minnie was next to him after the words had left his lips.

Wonwoo directed his attention to the girl, brushing a hand over her head, "What do you want?"

She looked up at him, "I get to decide?" Making him nod, and the younger rapper agreed,

"Anything you want."

"I really like this comeback and the style of-" her talk was interrupted when suddenly a blanket was thrown over her upper body. Turning to the side, Wonwoo was standing next to her with a grin on his lips.

"What was that for?" She grabbed the piece of fabric and was about to remove it, but his hands were quick and pulled it up higher again, tightening it around her chest,

"You must be cold." His comment was directed towards the rather small vest she was wearing.

Minnie didn't get the hint right away, so she just shook her head and tried to get rid of the blanket one more time,

"No, not really. I'm good." But again, his hands came up to hold it tightly in place, this time, not letting go as he held onto it,

"I'm sure you're really cold. It's okay, I'll hold it for you." They shared a second in silence, with their eyes interlocked, and finally, Minnie got it, making her laugh out loud as she tried to get his hands off the fabric. With no luck though since the rapper was by far stronger than her, so she just gave in with a sigh. With a nod, she turned to the camera again,

"I hope you enjoy it, Carats."

The cameraman suddenly filmed a new figure coming to the Hip Hop unit's photo shoot for Esquire. It was quickly revealed to be Minnie as she took off her mask and greeted the camera,

"Hello," she smiled, "How are you?"

Before she could say anything more, Vernon's voice was heard from behind the camera, "What are you doing here?"

"I came to support you. Only you," she grinned and waddled her way forward, closer to him to engulf him in a hug. The '98 Liner stared at the camera perplexed as he made his body completely stiff, not giving into the show of affection.

He suddenly called out, making the girl raised her head at the mention of her partner's name. She peaked past the younger member and found the rapper coming closer to the duo, his eyebrows scrunched in confusion,

"What are you doing here?" The repetition of Vernon's question made the two younger members chuckle.

[why are vernon and wonwoo sometimes the same person?]

"Can I not just show up to support you guys?" Minnie whined, glancing at both men, who kept a straight face.

Wonwoo kept on nagging her, "Support us during a photo shoot?" To which she nodded her head proudly.

"You might need it, who knows."

The '96 Liner chuckled and took a step closer, so they'd be in a smaller frame together, "What are you really doing here?" Lost in their conversation, they didn't realise that Vernon had left them alone.

Minnie sighed, "I left my keys at home," stretching her hand out, palm up. Wonwoo looked down, looked back up at her, only to look down again and slap his hand on hers, giving her a low-five.

[BRO, WONWOO]

"Too bad," he shrugged, making the girl look at him with an open mouth,

[he's so funny when he doesn't even try to be]

"What do you mean 'too bad'? I'm asking you very kindly to give me your keys," his hand came up to tap her chin at her cute antics, but she squirmed away with a smile the second he touched her,

[STOP, WHAT WAS THAT]

"So I can go home."

A voice coming through the speakers, telling the members of the hip hop unit to get back in front of the camera, interrupted the couple.

Wonwoo grinned, "Oh, I have to go back," and turned his back to Minnie, but not before getting a hold of her hand and shaking it to comfort her. The female dancer kept her gaze on his silhouette as he walked away from her.

She took a deep breath, "You know," she started, slowly turning towards the camera, "Carats always ask what it's like to live with the members. This is what it's like. It's great." And sent the viewers a bright, sarcastic grin.

The members were taking a break from filming their music video to 'Rock With You' with everyone sitting at different places on the set. Minnie was between Dino and Wonwoo, her head on Wonwoo's shoulder as she joined him in watching what he was doing on his phone.

The girl raised her head from its position and opened her mouth,

"No, I do," Wonwoo argued back. Minnie distanced herself from him, scooting closer to the maknae to rest her head on his shoulder,

"Nope, I love him the most," slinging her arms around his torso to give him a tight hug.

The female member was sitting on the floor after their long practice for their Golden Disc Award performance. The camera was filming her for their Inside Seventeen episode, making her look up once she noticed, sending a cute wave and blowing a kiss towards it.

She jolted when someone suddenly grabbed her head and started shaking it, making her chuckle - she knew immediately who it was.

Her suspicion was confirmed once Wonwoo sat down next to her, placing the energy drink he was drinking on the floor.

The cameraman was still in the same place, and Minnie smiled, pointing at it, "The camera is jealous now." The rapper knew he was talking to her. "Because you did that to me but not to it."

The corners of his lips curled as he reached forward, pretending to get a hold of the lens and started shaking it the same way he would always do.

The members were standing on the side of the practice room, watching Vernon's dance break and rewarded him with a round of applause as soon as he was done. They got up from the floor and were making their way back into the middle. Wonwoo stopped in front of the cameraman, reaching out with his hands to grab the lens, shaking it in his usual style. Since Minnie was right behind him, she stopped with a smile, which was revealed once he freed the camera from his hold again and stepped aside.

[sigh...]

[it's either him looking at her with heart eyes or she's doing it]

He caught the girl's glance from the corner of his eye and turned towards her, leaving the couple to smile at each other.

Just a second later, Wonwoo had his hands on Minnie's head, doing the same thing he just did to the camera, making her laugh out loud.

Her hands came up to grasp his, trying to push them away while her giggles filled their ears.
