I finally got to write formal professional reports again. It's a sort of RFP sort of functional outline. It's not NEARLY as formal as the ones we did in grad school and wouldn't be up to snuff for literally any proper organization, but my workplace does so much stuff slapdash and disorganized and it drives me insane. I am the model of a would-be burecrat. I love paperwork. Forms. Rules. Reports. It needs to be organized if it's going to be EFFECTIVE and EFFICIENT.

Anyway for this report I basically got free reign bc no one else knows what I'm talking about or how to do it. And it's just??? Such a relief and a delight to 1) get to do things properly 2) get to be competent, and be SEEN as being comptent, and not just a recent grad bumbling around trying to catch up in a workplace that doesn't follow ANY regular rules or protocols and is just. So disorganized.

Like. Given very little sleep and recovering from mild food poisoning, I've been more productive in 3 hours than I am in a lot of full days. It's like being in school again. Competence. Fully outlined and clear, reasonable goals. A PURPOSE.

I should just be given full control of everything as the benevolent dictator of my department, but alas

Quincy - I think he likes night, just after the sun's glow is fully gone, when you can hear the millions of frogs and insects.

Rrenne - I think you may have mixed him up with Fillan, since he doesn't use one! Fillan hasn't yet, but really should, it's fun. They're still stuck in a "practical matters, visuals are frivolous" mindset :(

Banni - climbs trees, or plays their flute if they're not hit with creative block! There's also a chance for the zoomies and a tendency to wander.

Laamb - no specific accent comes to mind (how American of me), but she's got a soft, lilting voice

Ollie - Orr is what they know, and they've come to love its coasts! They like what they've seen of Ascalon, but the waterways aren't especially navigable and it's pretty intensive to hike by land. They thrive in the desert portions of Elona...but they hate walking through dunes. (Ugh, I can feel the phantom soreness already - every step is like being on an exercise bike with the resistance set to high)

Miriam - he's mildly allergic to...I think it was A+ specifically, but my memory isn't very helpful right now! Types themselves don't convey a strong flavor, but he likes feeding on people who are a little bit dehydrated because it's (allegedly, anyways) richer in flavor. All of that said...once blood is spilled, he's not able to stop drinking regardless of taste

Tueggi and Liffeh - well, I wouldn't say she doesn't find it entertaining, but Tueggi isn't really interested in baking, and it's something Liffeh does as much for utility as for fun. In the other direction, (and for obvious reasons) Liffeh can't get into wildlife spotting the way Tueggi does. She does like trying to identify bird and frog calls, though!

Bran - sdkfhkjsdf he may be. Depends on how full the infirmary is (and whether he's due for a dinner)

i think my interview this morning went well!!

#im not trying to speculate on whether or not i think i have the job #but i feel good about how the interview went #i am getting anxious about money again though #and this interview happened during one of the company-wide training days for the second job i just started #bc the first job is uh. i will have had one (1) shift for the entire second pay period of this month #so that one is very much a supplementary 'fill in when needed and wanted' kind of position #but unfortunately i have a conference during ANOTHER training day for the more stable job next weekend. #and i just feel like im somehow showing them that im unreliable?? and that then they will not want to schedule me?? #idfk thats the fear talking. practically speaking if they didnt want me they wouldnt hire me. the store manager and the dm both #said that it's not a big deal so i will do my best to trust them #hhhhhh i have a tour booked for an apartment next tuesday afternoon and i hope . ?? i can wiggle my way in to another training sesh next we #idk if thats something i can request or try to suggest w my store manager or if i have to wait on him to get to me about it #but i will find out on monday when theres the next session that i can make #blah blah blah
