Love me an "immortal" Jason au. Not immortal in the way that he can't die but he just doesn't stay dead. Especially if it's something of a side effect of his revival. Like, he wasn't meant to die so "life" brought him back or w/e but something went wrong and he just keeps coming back. Love the idea of him not realizing it at first either. It's good angst/whump!

JaySlade is awesome because yeah I know we barely have any character interaction in canon at all, but imagine if we did.

Jason clearly needs some validation and someone who accepts him as he is, Slade of course has no scruples at all about Jason killing pedophiles and rapists from time to time and actually encourages it. I can easily imagine Slade teaching Jason some of his trade secrets as well, because the kid is already damn skilled in fighting and knows how to wield any gun with exceptional skill. So take Slade who surely has a competency kink and make him work with the most cold-heartedly pragmatic of the Bats and well you see where this is going.

Imagine Slade and Jason, one had lost his father, the other had lost his sons, both kind of getting over their loss through the other and starting to heal from that. Slade needs to have a young man in his life whose life he can improve instead of destroy, Jason needs someone with that aura of authority who will accept him and Jason is no exception to the rule of all Robins having Praise kinks a mile wide.

I need more people to understand how well JaySlade work together. Both are very protective of children (I’m being selective with canon here, them endangering children is widely ooc, I don’t care about that.), both are loners, both are skilled gunmen, both are kind of complicated on the hero-villain scale. They are not what you would ever think the other needs, but they are absolutely what eachother need. Not soulmates as in predetermined by the universe, but soulmates in the sense of the fate you make for yourself.

"What if I put my hand... here?" Ashton whispered, his palm lightly running up your sternum, fingers grazing your throat, applying the slightest pressure there. "How does that feel?"

"I don't know," you mumbled, eyes locked on his while your heart raced, pounding against your chest. "Dangerous and... scary. But..."

"It's okay, just tell me," his voice was still loving and soft, hand moving to pull back from your neck not to make you uncomfortable. Your own hands shot up to grab his wrist, slowly pulling it back onto your throat, giving it a little squeeze to do the same with his fingers. Ashton cocked an eyebrow, the smallest of smirks tugging at the corner of his mouth as he waited.

"...but maybe I wanna try it..." you finally sighed, voice somewhere between a soft whisper and a moan. "I feel safe with you."

"I'll take care of you, love," Ash brushed the stray locks away from your eyes, leaning forward to press a kiss on your lips, his grip softly tightening on your throat again. "I promise you."

I know I don’t owe any of you anything but I still felt compelled to write about my long term absence. And I feel far enough away from the dangerous spot I was in to be able to make this comic. I have a therapist now, and she agreed that making this could be a very cathartic gesture, and the start of properly leaving these thoughts behind me. I am still, at seemingly random times, blindsided by fleeting desires to kill myself. They’re always passing urges, but it’s disarming, and uncomfortable. I worry sometimes that my brain’s spent so long thinking only about suicide that it’s forgotten how to think about anything else. Like, now that I've opened that door for myself, I'll never be able to fully shut it again. But I’m trying my best to encourage my mind in other directions. We'll see how that goes.

I am still donating all proceeds from my store to Palestinian causes. So far, I've donated over $15K, not including donations coming from my own pocket or the fundraising streams which jointly raised around $10K. In the time since I made my initial post about where this money would be going, the focus has shifted from aid organisations to directly donating to escape funds.

If you'd like to do the same, you can look at Operation Olive Branch, which hosts hundreds of Palestinian escape funds or donate to Safebow, which has helped facilitate the safe crossing and securing of important medical procedures for over 150 at-risk palestinians since the beginning of the genocide.

Big fan of sun motifs in characters not necessarily being about positivity and happiness and how they're so " bright and warm" but instead being about fucking brutal they are.

Radiant. A FORCE of nature that will turn you to ash. That warmth that burns so hot it feels like ice. Piercing yellow and red and white. A character being a Sun because you cannot challenge a Sun without burning alive or taking everything down with them if victorious.
