dr maddock (they/it) is a doctor and scientist who studied at a prestigious university and has dedicated their life to scientific progress and disease research, specifically related to the mysterious disease that wiped out their family. it has no wings and only a small inferiority complex about that.

solaris (they/them) is a magical healer and former priest who still has their deeply held religious convictions, even if they're not practicing as a religious leader anymore. they're almost entirely mute due to trauma, instead using a mix of sign and magical telepathy to speak.

seraphine (he/him) is a runaway prince trying to make his way in the world, as well as escape the domineering matriarchy he grew up in. generally he's very sweet and gentle but super conflict avoidant, to the point of never facing his problems head-on if he can help it.

the challenger (he/him) is a warrior from the army of seraphine's mother, whose career as a soldier ended early due to injury. he later was appointed seraphine's personal guard and is now trying to get him back, chasing him all around the world to do so.

calliope (she/it) is an oracle from the mountains who foresaw her home's destruction and did nothing to stop it, letting her petty grudge against her ex take precedence over others' safety. as penance, she has sent herself into exile and is seeking redemption.

gwynera (she/her) is an explorer from humble origins who wants to rise above her station and make a mark on the world, at any cost. she's a big picture thinker who puts long-term goals over short-term concerns, for better and for worse.

Tonight im obsessed with how the mp100 cast are just.... the most mundane people ever. Like they have incredible destructive powers that can level cities, and they make weird ass decisions, and they get roped into cults and aliens and terrorist organisations, but at the end of the day... Reigen likes falling asleep to B-rated movies. Ritsu likes going clothes shopping with his brother. Teru finds summers boring. Tome feels understimulated and left out sometimes. Shou likes hamsters. Serizawa likes going out with his school friends. Mob likes watching the sky. They all get in over their head at times, and they feel lonely, and they get silly, and they try to be kind.

They're just,,, normal, average people, and the fact that they are normal, average people often gets more emphasis than all the crazy, out of this world stuff that they can also do, and that's just... strangely endearing to me. The mundane gets treated with as much love and respect as the actiony stuff in this show, because there's worth to be found in simple, effortless humanity, and that feels... very kind to me. It's important I think <3

I often find myself fascinated by cawl with the primaris bc did you know decimus androdinus felix used to be terrified of them? but cawl considers him (and the primaris in general, it feels) like their son(s). and cawl with their subcawls and, in essence, fronting probably (to my mind at least) had different personality "loadouts" for different things. checkup cawl vs surgeon cawl vs recovery cawl and so on. predictable but not consistent

they're simultaneously the primaris' dad/surgeon/researcher/torturer (given the processes of both becoming an astartes and a primaris as well as shit like felix basically just going in and out of stasis to be experimented on until he turned out right) and I just.... would LOVE to see more of this in a book. also I like cawl
