In a southern gothic mood so I combined the idea of that slasher oc I had yet to design with everything else and came up with this guy.
He haunts a small town and occasionally kills any townsfolk that wander into his fields. To keep him calm every townie plants blue flowers in their yard, all except for one who recently moved back after ten years and started planting yellow flowers.
Oddly enough they're still alive...

introducing Trinket Vaunt! Trinket is a high elf druid (circle of the moon to be exact). All you need to know right now is that he’s currently seeking revenge for the abduction of his family and that he won’t let anyone get in his way no matter how well meaning they may be!

redid some maps of vätterunda as well as folke's homestead...
background on vätterunda and the granholm homestead under cut
vätterunda is a relatively old town, having been formed around the 1300s in gästrikland. rich soil and access to water through the adjacent lake of Trollsjön caused it to be a primarily agricultural village comprising a few homesteads/farms. Eventually a church would be built as the population grew. However, the population would remain relatively small until the 1860s, as a railroad would begin to be built in the area, Vätterunda being a planned stop - and thus, a railroad station was built as well. With workers from this railroad settling down in the town, the population would steadily begin to grow, and some sections of the town would be rebuilt. By the time of Pareidolia the town has sort of become a marketplace/crossroads, as well as the superstitious nature of a big part of their original population being noteworthy- although, some would say that it's not superstition - rather, that it's simply a result of vättar being unusually prevalent in the area.
the granholm family has been notorious for being relatively isolationist and sticking to themselves, being situated at the northern part of the lake and a good walk from the closest town, vätterunda. folke, who is currently the only known resident of the homestead (to the people of vätterunda at least), inherited it from his mother's side. the granholm family used to be more well connected to vätterunda despite their relatively private nature, as they would come to the town regularly to trade. now, however, the current resident is only seen in the town of vätterunda about once a week, and seems to be oddly self sufficient, living off the land by himself.
the little bay area above the granholm homestead is stenviken, which is currently selma's territory
