Yandere CEO in a room with darling, handing them a contract sheet for them to sign:
"I know this company is going to miss you, but you have to understand why I have to do this. You deserve more than this, you deserve to have so much-"
Otaku darling already knowing yandere CEO's intentions and signing it immediately:
"Yep, don't care! Chain me up, don't care. All I ask for is funding for my lovely figures - and oh! A membership for all of these streaming websites. You're right, I deserve so much more, so take me now!"
Yandere CEO surprised but not disappointed as they take the signed contract:
"Okay..Didn't plan that to happen..But then again you always belonged to me. So why would I be surprised..?"
Darling immediately jumping onto their lap, happily hugging them as they accept their fate:
"Mhn-hmn! <3"
.

The aftermath of yandere CEO consensually 'kidnapping' an otaku darling <3

Isaiah 43:14-45:10, Ephesians 3:1-21, Psalm 68:1-18, Proverbs 24:1-2
Today is the 24th day of September, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian, it is great to be here with you today as we continue our journey around the sun and through the Bible and we have worked our way all the way, well, we’re kind of in the last quarter I guess, of the book of Isaiah and we’re also working our way through the letter to the Ephesians. So, let's dive in today Isaiah chapter 43 verse 14 through 45 verse 10.
Commentary:
Okay, so I have mentioned that Ephesians, at least as I read it, it's like an ever upward climb to these higher vistas to see further, to see further horizons, to see more and understand more. And it’s not like Paul’s saying in this letter like, things it he hasn't said in other ways, but he's in prison and he is writing this passionately. This vision of what's really going on here, and if we just meditate on it. If we just take it in slowly. It is so huge. So, Paul is talking about revelations that he has received, mysteries that he is received, that have previously been unrevealed and I quote “this mystery is that in Christ Jesus, the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and people who also share in the promise through the gospel.” Well so, previously the understanding that Paul had as a Pharisee is that the Jews are the exclusive people and that's what they think but this revelation, this mystery that has been revealed to Paul that he is preaching, well that touches all of us because most of us are Gentiles. And so, for Paul to say that the mystery that’s been revealed is that through Christ, Gentiles and Jews are fellow heirs, members of the same body, people who share in the same promise through the gospel. What Paul is saying is that this is available to everybody in the world which is huge and for me, a Gentile a overwhelming flow of gratitude. Paul goes on, as if to answer a question like, why would God do that, why, why would He welcome everybody in the world, and I quote Paul again “He did this so that through the church, the multifaceted wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was done according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Okay, that's pretty cosmic in its implications. This is saying God, in his goodness and offering you eternal life, opening a way, welcoming you home. This makes His wisdom known and we are like a living witness, a living display to the unseen realms, that is huge to contemplate. That is a massive vista to just understand that we are all part of something way bigger than…than we ever pay attention to. Paul says because of all of that, because of this gift and because of what it's doing, in Jesus, we can freely approach God with confidence, through faith in Him. We could say yes, this is a theological formula I’ve known for a very long time but think about that. We can freely approach God, the most high God, with confidence through faith in Him. Let's try to live into this today. Let's try to contemplate, consider, meditate upon, allow it to sink in. Even Paul seems blown away. Even as he is writing it down and he gives kind of a benediction here at the end of our reading and so, let's just let this benediction wash over us as we bask in the goodness of God.
Prayer:
For this reason, I kneel before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the entire family in heaven and on earth receives its name. I pray that, according to the riches of His glory, He would strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner self, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then, being rooted and grounded in love, I pray that you would be able to comprehend, along with all the saints, how wide and long and high and deep His love is, and that you would be able to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled to all the fullness of God. Now to Him, who is able, according to the power that is at work within us, to do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.

Prayer and Encouragements:
Hi, Daily Audio Bible, my name is New Eyes and I’m from Chattanooga, Tennessee and I’m calling in for the first time because I was really moved by some prayer requests the other day and I wanted to lift some folks up here in our community. First of all, I would like to thank the Lord for Trent and his encouragement to all of us to be thankful for what we have, I know I definitely need that and I want to lift up Vicki from Southern California and Tammy, who is in remission from ovarian cancer. I really want to lift you ladies up to the Lord, for how much you are just laying at the foot of the cross and trusting God to give you peace in such a hard time. And, I also want to pray for Giovanni whose whole family is sick with the coronavirus. Lord, just bring Your healing, bring Your Holy Spirit and touch Giovanni and his family in this long, frustrating battle with this virus and I just ask that You would bless him. And family, it's my first time calling in and I could really use some prayers this week as I'm sending my 18-year-old son to a youth with a mission discipleship training school in Hawaii and he’s gonna be gone for six months and it's his first time away from home and I'm so excited for him but it's also really hard for this mama. So, if you could lift him up just send him blessings and prayers for an amazing time. I really love this community. You guys are an incredible blessing. Thank you for praying. Keep it up.
Hello Daily Audio family. My name is Sharon I'm calling to ask for prayer for my daughter, Sharon. She's been told she needs open-heart surgery, she's really, we’re really afraid. Each time we speak to a doctor we’re afraid and she starts crying and I start crying. I'm asking that you pray that, pray, send prayers for us that we can get through this situation and come out whole on the other side. I pray with her and I know that God can do all things and I prayed that He will give us the strength, first and foremost, that she doesn't need the surgery and that we will get a second opinion. We just need prayer right now family. Thank you.
Hello my DAB family this is Minnesota Aruka Regina. I haven't talked to you in a while, just want to tell you how much I love you and care about each and every one of you. On September 21st Danielle, I thank you so much for giving us an update on that 19-year-old girl Lord, it just really made me kind of cry and I want to lift her up in prayer. Loving Father, I just am so grateful for You being there for this young 19-year-old gal who was adopted…abducted and violated Father. Thank You for seeing her and for being faithful to find Your precious lost sheep. Lord, I just pray right now that You please speak love into her traumatic soul where she's been hurt and crushed and bruised Lord. I pray that You just reach her heart, let her know that You cried with her in those days that she was gone and it hurts Your spirit. But You were already making a plan for her and You are now helping her. Lord, I pray that You heal her. Let her know that You love her and You care about her and You are a God that can restore Lord. Bring someone into her life that can…can help her to be able to process everything and to break all of the bonds of this troubled man. May she not feel guilty and shameful for what is happening. It's not her fault. Help her to forgive. Help her to learn to love and to be loved again. We give You all the glory and honor in the name of the Father and the Son. Amen.
Hey DAB fam this is Laura in Eugene. I just want to call and lift up Val in Vegas in prayer. Heavenly Father, Lord, I just lift Val up to You, I pray for strength and courage as she recovers from her recent surgery. Lord, I pray for her medical team as decisions for what happens next are coming and I pray that You would help Val to rest in Your peace and Your comfort and Your care, that she could just feel that peace that passes all comprehension Lord. I pray that You would continue to be with her and guide her through this hard time but I’m just so grateful that she’s moving forward and getting the care that she needs Lord. Father, just keep watch over her. Thank You. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Dishonorable intentions. | Thomas Shelby x Reader Imagine.
Part II.
*Sidenotes: I was inspired and some anons asked me to do the second part of dishonorable intentions, soooo here it is! I’ve decided it’ll have more parts so hope you enjoy it.
*Resume: You and Tommy go on your first date.
Thomas lit another cigarette. Feeling the smoke in his lungs gave him a sense of calmness. A feeling he really needed in that exact moment. They were counted the times that Thomas Shelby had been nervous: when Hughes kidnapped Charlie, in the tunnels when he was in the war, in the birth of Charlie and Ruby and another time: when he saw YN for the very first time. YN in the war. YN as a nurse. He hit the cigarette again. Fuck. How long was she going to make him wait?
He wasn’t going to lie, he never thought a girl like YN would accept to go on a date with him. You could tell from miles away that they were completely different from the other.
First we have Thomas. The all mighty, Thomas Shelby. The son of an Irish immigrant man and a Romani gipsy woman, born and raced in Small Heath, Birmingham, England. He was in his late 30s about to jump to the 40s. A charmer by nature and way to intelligent for his time. A man who grew up without shoes to wear or food to eat, a man who growing up only had bread and lard when he dreamt and hoped that maybe one day, he’ll be able to do and have whatever he wanted. He worked hard until he created his own empire, but Tommy knew that no amount of money allows you to pass through the steel sheets that separates one class from another. He knew it cause he had lived it. But even when he born with nothing, he became one of the most powerful men in all Europe. He was brilliant, aggressive but rational, he knew what he wanted and he didn’t ask permission, he does what he wants and takes what he needs. A genius, a womanizer, millionaire, CEO of multiples business, philanthropist, and yet, he didn’t felt worthy of dating someone like YN. He dated Greta, Grace, May, Lizzie, Tatiana, Jessie, and many more, but he never felt unworthy to have them, to be with them. Only with YN.
And then we have YN. YN Casiraghi was born and raised in London. A 22 year old Heiress of one of the most influential and wealthiest families in Europe. YN was passionate about everything that could make her feel free and liberated. She loved to travel, to read, to study, to work, to learn. Her dream was to become an independent woman who didn’t have to depend of a man. YN was a free spirit. Determinate and stubborn, yet free and playful, flirty and seductive, intelligent and fearless. Growing up YN had everything she wanted or needed, she grew up being spoiled but never being a brat or a mean girl. She was a good girl and everyone wanted to be her or be with her. YN was special. Everyone loved YN, not just because she was beautiful and smart, a popular socialite who knew everyone and ruled every place she went to. They loved her because she was sweet, because she always tried to help, because she wasn’t selfish or shallow, because she cared.
YN Casiraghi and Thomas Shelby. When black meets white. When yin meets yan. When two worlds collide.
YN closed the door behind her, and with a smile she started to walk towards Tommy. . Thomas glanced toward the entrance of her house...and his mouth dries. She’s standing on the entrance, and for a second he doesn’t realize it’s her. She looked exquisite: her hair falls in soft waves to her breast on one side, and on the other it’s pinned back so it’s easier to see her delicate jawline and the gentle curve of her slender neck. She’s wearing high heels and a tight light blue dress that accentuates her alluring figure. Wow. Her lips in her classical red lipstick. A red that could drive any man crazy, including Thomas Shelby. The closer she was to him, the more his heart skipped a beat.
-Hi.-YN chuckled. Damn. Thomas Shelby looked way more handsome than he had years before when she last saw him.
-Hello love.-Tommy spoke after extinguish the fire of his cigar by throwing it away.-So, are you ready sweetheart?-He extended his hand so she could take it and help her get to the car.
-I’m YN, not your love and surely not your sweetheart, love.-The girl smiled one last time before she started walking to the Bentley parked in front of her house. She didn’t even waited for Thomas to open the door for her. She opened herself and got in the car. Thomas didn’t took long to follow. He started the car and away they go.
The ride was pretty fast before they arrived to the Hotel Café Royal, a place that both of them knew very well. It was an hotel where everyone who was a somebody hanged out.
Winston Churchill, Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald, Einstein, Henry Ford, George Washington, Charles Chaplin, Ernest Hemingway, Coco Chanel, you name it.
When YN got off the car, she couldn’t stop herself from rolling her eyes. It wasn’t funny anymore, almost every guy she went out on a date with, thought it was a great idea to have a first date in that same place. Every fucking time. When Tommy got to her side he put his hand in her waist, pushing a bit so she could start walking into the hotel. And YN could’ve sworn that electricity ran through her whole body. It wasn’t normal how nervous he could make her with a simple gesture.
-Cmon lov... YN.-Tommy killed a smile that was starting to appear on his face. She was something else. She reminded him of Dangerous, one of his most loving horses, she wasn’t scared to take what she wanted, she wasn’t afraid to do whatever that would please her, cause if freedom could be a person, it would be YN.
The both entered to the Oscar Wilde salon, filled with aristocrats and important people who tried to impress each other. The hostess and a waiter took YN and Thomas to their table, the best table in the whole place. A table with a view. YN was a sucker for a killer view, but at the end of the day, it was a view she knew way to well.
-Here you go Mr. Shelby and Mrs. Casiraghi. So, can I bring you something to drink?-The young man asked with a smile, you could tell the poor thing was really nervous. He has to serve two of the most important clients of the Hotel.
-I’ll have a glass of Sancerre.-The girl spoke with confidence, after turning his gaze to the blue eyed.
-I’ll have a whiskey. Irish.-The kid left as quickly as possible, trying to bring their drinks asap. Thomas got closer to her. -You look stunning.- He said in a whisper, and kissed her cheek. Closing his eyes, Him savoring her scent; she smelled heavenly. It didn’t took long before YN started to blush, she was very used to men giving her compliments of all kind, but there was something in the way Thomas did it that drove her crazy.
-You look pretty good too, I’m glad to see you in one piece, I’ll admit that the last time I saw you, I didn’t though you’ll make it.-She spoke with clarity, something that Tommy was starting to appreciate. Tommy chuckled, even when he was pretty used to having a poker face and nothing and no one surprised him, she did. She was something different. -So how did you found me? And what took you so long?
A smile appeared on Tommy and a minute later, the drinks were in their hands.
-Well, well, you play no games, don’t you?... When I finally went back to Birmingham, where I’m from, I wasn’t the man you met. Everything changed in me. I became a different man, all my believes, my ideas, my feelings and emotions died in France, stayed in France. But, when I came back I started looking for you and to be honest, it wasn’t hard, you’re kind of a celebrity. I know that princes, dukes, ministers, rich gals, and almost every man with eyes would kill to be by your side. I know you’re well educated, you’re probably the only woman I know that went to college. I know who you are. So now tell me, would you even say hello to the man I was before I became who I am now? No YN, you wouldn’t. Cause at the end of the day I’m not a man who could’ve dated you, cause I didn’t had anything to offer you. So how was I supposed to chase a woman like you? Let’s be honest love, you’re out of my league. -Thomas sipped from his whisky, his eyes never leaving hers.- I started my company, doing bets, protecting people, doing business and everything else for two reasons, the first one is cause I always wanted to give my family everything they deserved and the second, cause I want to get myself anything I want, anything I desire, and guess what? I desire you, YN. I want you. I’ve wanted you since the first time I saw you in France.- She didn’t say a word. To be honest, she was pretty amused.
The dinner went by fast. Not much talk between them but also, they couldn’t keep their gaze to themselves. They ate and have one or two laughs. Everything was going okay. It was average. But YN always wanted more than average.
-So now that you’ve tried to impress me and clearly failed, why don’t you take me to somewhere that I can actually have fun. Somewhere you actually enjoy, somewhere we can be ourselves and stop pretending. Show me where would Thomas Shelby take a girl to have a little fun?
-You won’t like it. I’m not sure you’ll like my world.
-Hmm... I’m feeling adventurous.- a smile appeared on her face, she was challenging him.
-Okay... cmon...-He stood up after leaving some cash on the table, giving the young waiter, the tip of his life. And for the first time on the whole night YN took his hand. They drove away and YN could see how the streets of London changed from the safest and prettiest ones to the dangerous and poorest. She loved to be out of her comfort zone. Thomas parked his car and she could notice a few blocks away from they parked, lights that attracted everyone.
-A pub? You brought me to a freakin pub?
-Oi! This isn’t like a pub you’ve probably been to. This is not the type of gals you interact with. This are working men, men who fought in France, men who don’t care about money or your last name... trust me, you’ll have a blast. I promise.
-And if I don’t?-She asked challenging him again. She loved to play.
-If you don’t have fun, you’ll decide where we go the next time... but if you do have fun, I’ll kiss you.
-Who says there’s going to be a second date?
-Its a feeling love... now let’s go.
Thomas couldn’t take his eyes away from her while she walked. He had been waiting for this moment all day and looked thru out the day, repeatedly at his watch. This feels like a first date, and in a way it is, but Tommy didn’t do first dates, not until her. He had never taken a prospect girl out to dinner. He had sat through interminable meetings that day, bought a business, and fired three people. Nothing He had done today, including almost killing a man, dispelled the anxiety Tommy had wrestled with all day. That power is in the hands of YN. YN made him anxious, he hadn’t even taste her but he was already addicted.
As they entered the pub fulled with men who feared, loved and respected Thomas, everything got quiet. Not a soul would dare to speak.
-Fellas. Is this a funeral or why the scary faces? Cmon! Drinks are on me today! You deserve it! -
Every man in the room cheered, but Thomas only noticed the admiring glances from those same men, and in the case of one handsome, athletic guy, overt appreciation of his date. It’s not something Tommy have dealt with before...and to be honest, he didn’t liked it. It seemed that that night, all the men only had eyes for Miss YN. They walked while Thomas gave them a withering look that send them in retreat from the room. Taking her hand, he lead her to the bar.
-Mr. Shelby! So nice to see ya again-An old man smiled to the couple.
-What would you like to drink?- Tommy is rewarded with a knowing smile as she sits down.
-I’ll have whatever you’ll have, please.
-Two whiskeys, Irish, Tom.- Tommy said to the bartender before they slide into a booth. Thomas sitting right next to her.
-So... you’re quite de celebrity aren’t you?-She smiles to him while making fun on him. YN actually was surprised of all the love Thomas Shelby received and yet, he didn’t seem to care.
They drank the whole night, she sang to him, and he danced with her. They talked, for hours. They went to the roof of the pub and watch some fireworks. YN talked about college, about art, about her favorite books, about her fears, she even talked about Alex. Tommy talked about his family, about the company, about Ruby and Charlie, he talked about his childhood, about the games he played with his brothers, about the war. It was so easy to talk to each other. It felt like they’ve always known each other. YN was everything Tommy always wanted, she wasn’t afraid of thinking for herself, she was smart and she was passionate about almost everything that intrigued her. She was fearless and a little bit reckless, yet caring and loving. And she laughed, she laughed about everything and it was really easy for her to make new friends. She loved to party and to have fun. She wasn’t scared to be herself in a world that tells you who you are supposed to be. Fuck. Thomas really liked her. And Tommy was everything YN always craved. A rational man who didn’t fear his instincts. A man who cared about his family and everyone he loved. He was powerful and a control freak, but with her he let go. He was free and wasn’t scared of anything. He does what he wants and takes what he wants. He has ambitions and damn he’s intelligent. Oh and he’s gorgeous.
They laughed and talked for hours and hours, until it was early in the morning. 5 am marked the clock, but they wanted so much of each other that time didn’t seem to care. But they had stuff to do, even if the dreamt of staying in that little booth their whole lives, real life was starting out there.
-Let’s go YN, I’ll take you home.-He took her hand and they started to walk in the still dark sky, out of the pub they acted as if they still were in their bubble.
-I don’t want this to end...-She spoke while walking before she stopped to look at Tommy.-I feel so liberated when I’m with you.
-Well did you have fun?-Thomas asked the girl while he cornered her to a wall. Her back hitting lightly the wall. Him getting closer to her. Bodies brushing into one and other.
-Are you kidding me? This is the most fun I’ve had in a long time...-She smiled to him and Tommy could’ve sworn he could feel his heart race.
-Good. That’s good. Cause know I’m going to be able to do something I’ve been wanted to do since the first time I saw you in France.-And with that being said, Thomas kissed the red lips of the girl who had been teasing him all night. And god she felt so good. She was a goddess, of that Tommy was sure. And she tasted so heavenly.
-You’re going to be the death of me love...-Thomas said in a whisper before driving YN to her house and ending their beautiful night.

I’d make a Inferno Quote (”Thence we came out, and saw again the stars!”) here but I’ll just let you know right after I took this screenshot and recruited Slyboots for the start of my Count of Montecristo like revenge, a series of bullshit started happening:
1) The “Trinimac Fanatic” (A Thalmor) guarding the Trinimac shrine nearby added by Wintersun is attacked by a bear and some wolves, responding to them in kind, but attracting the attention of the Mourning Giant (A special VANILLA Giant mourning the death of his beloved mammoth nearby, and is never hostile to anything least they attempted to damage said Mammoth or due to multiple attacks against him), which destroys the remaining survivors before returning to keep watch on the mammoth.
(Actually, pretty good plot wise, Shaglak pretends to be a Trinimac follower when he tricks you into getting enslaved, so having a Trinimac Shrine right outside the settlement might not be so out of place now, and the Mourning Giant is probably too filled with grief to fully understand the horror that is happening just nearby).
2) As soon as I reached the shrine of Trinimac to get it on the map, the second and third member of the Sinister Seven showed up.
Sinister Seven is a mod that adds a dynamic assassin system to the game, spawning from level 14 onward every 2 levels a member of the titular Sinister Seven in a fixed place in the world, and then sending them to hunt you down. Is good for roleplaying purposes (IE, you left Cyrodil and went to Skyrim to escape a dangerous past but said past is sending the most ruthless assassins in the empire to hunt you down). You can also mix via the MCM of the mod if said boss like enemies happened to have grunts with them, or if minor bounty hunters were also hired to hunt you down, as I did for maximum difficulty.
(The backstory has been mentioned earlier for me. My Altmer dragonborn was a member of the Mages Guild Chapter of Kvatch, ended up managing to commit some... forbidden experiments, she barely understood, to bind the fabric of time and rewind the clock back to the great war in the great Chapel of Akatosh there, so she could stop... everything, what happened to her dads, their PTSD, their scars, their wounds, the horrors her friends and family had to go through, her losing her eye during the sack of Kvatch (She was barelly 14 at the time), the following ostracization against them for being Altmer, thinking them as spy...
She fails and ends up with a pet arcane raven that might or might not be Kyne’s Avatar, and with her already scarred body marked outside the flow of time, never needing to sleep, eat, time freezing briefly every time she wants to drink a potion, switch a spell, eat something, not able to even feel the taste...
So, she’s running away from the Synod after they discovered her experiments, who wants to get her ageless body back to dissect her and see what makes her tick, the Order of the Hour, crying vengeance against their desacrated chapel and dishonored god, the Auriel chapter in Alinor following suit (Which means the Thalmor will also want to get her to see how she ticks, especially after their spies in the Synod revealed what they managed to discover about her experiments), but not the Alkosh chapter in Elseweyr, by now a shadow of their former self after the advent of the Riddle’Tar, and the Alduin one in Skyrim, since the Northern Pantheon has been lost by 2 centuries and the Nords have been succesfuly assimilated into the imperial pantheon, following fake, propaganda based “tradition” barely 150 years old and abandoning their actual gods in favor of a lie about a dead emperor.
She chooses Skyrim due the political turmoil making it easier for her to disappear there (Sadly true as she is indeed disappeared, first by the Thalmor who manage to recognize her and capture her, and right after her escape as she managed to make Kaidan flee the Thalmor Prison in the Rift, getting separated from him in the kerfuffle, and right after that by the Dunmer Slavers of Sedtrith Kagran.
(Her family are followers of the moderate chapter of the Syrobane Phynaster and Xarxes doctrine, the one that believes that everyone, even men, can ascend to godhood much like Xarxes and Syrobane did, and professes how, like Syrobane and Phynaster, it’s through an alliance between all races in harmony and peace united under a common goal as they go against their real enemies... the Sload, bastards who deserve all the harm it will get to them. The chapter had to escape Summerset Isles after the Thalmor took power, their “moderate” views of men and other races not exactly seen kindly under the new regime...))
(Let’s just say all the shit she had gone trough in her life (The war, the loss of a eye, the scar on her face, hidden by her hair, the ostracization, being hunted down like a dog, the Thalmor capturing her and torturing her, the Slavery... hasn’t made her the most trustworthy or “peaceful” of mer at the moment, plotting her revenge against all that hurt her and her only friend in Sadrith Kagran, Ra’zhirra, aiding his escape back to his family in Elsweyr, delivering him from slavery, but vowing to take revenge for him too against those who sold him to the Slavers... The Stormcloaks, colluding with the settlement and knowing full well what is going on in their land, and even profiting from it as Ra’zhirra clearly says.)
3) Anyway, the Second Member is a Dunmer Frost Mage, the Third a Nord Stealth Archer. It’s implied they are... pretty close, like sisters, to quote the awkwardly not as Anti Raegan as it should have been given the circumstances  broadway musical Rent.
The first member, a Giant Orc, actually managed to gain access to Sedrith Kagran, probably having ties with Shaglak own slave catching gang, so he showed up at the appropriate level, but both archer and mage showed up together (as the archer outright BEGS in her letter to her gal pal to do after the first of the Seven doesn’t report back when he went alone).
4) After we manage to kill off the 2 members of the sinister seven, a fucking CHALLENGER challenges me to a magic duel, right in the same fucking swamp... followed by him.
The man, the myth, the legend...
THE MOTHERFUCKING COURIER.
I started AHO at level one.
I’m level 18 now, almost 19.
He gave me so many fucking letters guys, you have no idea, organizations that knew about my action in the settlement and knew about the slavery (Like the Ravencroft Manor Arena), or people like Cassia, who have sent letters of help to everyone and anyone the courier deemed worthy of such thing...
As well as Jarl’s Sigurd’s letter, inviting her, a no name altmer, for “dinner.”
It seems not just the stormcloaks were colluding with the slavers... After all they do mention how many members of northern nobility were happily aiding in the slave trade, even profiting from it, not just the Stormcloak ones...
So, now she’s distrustful of everyone and everything, and burning with the desire of hurting those who hurt her...
Not running away anymore... But fighting back, stopping this problem at the root, find out what that Bastard Shaanath is planning, suck dry every ounce of goodwill, of riches from those... Parasites, make them believe she’s content with the riches they have promised her, and then, when they wallow in their fungi, sated and happy their settlement is safe and that reckoning shall not come for them...
Kill them all, and trap the ring leaders onto the soul cairn like they deserve.
Starting from the bastards who aid shaglak in his slave catching ring, the remnants of the by now defunct Camona Tong, camping out, oh so conveniently, right on the road to the dwemer ruin her so called “master,” now lost in the fumes of his hallucinogenic tea, ordered to go.

Dean Winchester x Reader x Klaus Mikaelson
Warnings: Explicit language. Lots of it. (lol, what’s new) slightly Jealous!Dean
Disclaimers: I don’t own any SPN or TVD/TO characters/plots mentioned.
Word Count: 2,923 words
A/n: Hey guys....I’m back and well, I know in my “farewell” letter I said I was gonna update completely different stories, and I will, but I’ve decided to make a mini-series inspired by @sherlockedtash88‘s suggestion. Well, technically, I still need to do that one, but this rooted from the rough draft of that one so yeah... I’ve just been really inspired with new stories and if I’m being honest I’m sort of stuck on somee other ones, but I promise it’ll all eventually work out! Anywho... Here it is~ Tell me what you think about this lil’ crossover and if I should continue it please!
Read Summary Here!!

Tumblr media
“I can’t fucking believe Sam actually convinced made me to go through with this shit,” you growl to yourself through the door, secretly hoping Dean would hear your low grumbles, hear how displeased having to do this made you. And to your twisted pleasure, it’s clear he did when you hear his harsh knocks on the door, startling you so much you stumble back on your excessively tall heels.
“Would you come out already? God fucking dammit Y/n, it ain’t that big of a deal. It’s just a fucking dress,” Dean snaps back, clearly exasperated beyond belief.
You growl, tugging at the long dress with a disgusted frown. “Oh bite me, Winchester. You try and wear this shit then, fucking asshole.”
Suffices to say: you weren’t a dress gal. Growing up a hunter really left no room for a woman to be anything but a bit of a tomboy. And you had to admit, the heels and dress weren’t that bad. Simply...not you.
You hastily throw the door open, revealing yourself to the older Winchester after nearly an hour of nonstop banter. Not that it was anything new either. Dean Winchester certainly had a way of getting under your skin like a microscopic parasite.
You continue to tug at the dress, looking down the barely-tall heels it was completely concealing with pure disdain.
“Do you realize how fucking hard it is to walk in the monstrosities? Oh! And to top it all off, Sam decided to ever so conveniently break his arm and now I have to go with-” just as you start a whole new rant, your eyes land on Dean dressed from head to toe in a tuxedo and the words completely die in your throat, your breath hitching. You’d be a lying bastard if you said you weren’t completely gobsmacked by his appearance.
I mean, you were well aware the eldest Winchester was attractive, but Goddamn, today he looked straight up delicious. From his broad shoulders to his slim waist, a tight-fitting dress shirt hugged him nicely underneath a black satin dinner jacket which gripped onto his prominent biceps charmingly. The dress pants clung to his bowed legs like they were made for them and you found it extremely hard not to let the shock you truly felt flash across your face. You refused to let him see the effect this outfit had on you.
Dean, returning the favor, of course, scoped you out subtly, attempting to remain indifferent, but you could see the shock in his infuriatingly bright green eyes. It made your heart flutter with wicked pleasantry and you suppress the roguish grin insistingly tugging at your lips with all your might. You wanted to think that was it, wanted to believe that a part of you, a part of your heart, wasn’t dancing in giddy delight as of now. But that would be a big lie.
His eyes trailed over your entire body, exposed back, plunging v-neck, perfectly-styled hair, glamorous makeup. His gaze was hungry, yes, but there was something else in there too...something soft... And even though you wished you’d missed the action, you watch, breath stolen, as he tugs his plump bottom lip in between his teeth when his eyes meet yours.
Your gaze flicker to his mouth and you’re sure he can see the sudden desire flooding through your body at the very instant. And anger. Because even though you wore high heels, he was still taller than you. Because even though you fought back and forth like a cat and dog, you couldn’t imagine a world without him in it. Because acting like you hated him back was better than letting the walls around your heart down just to be stomped on by him. Because he hated you and if he got the chance to hurt you over it, he probably would.
You break the electrifying silence with an embarrassingly raspy snap. “Are you going to stare at me all day or are we going to actually, ya’ know, go?” He seems to snap out of it and releases his lip, shaking his head lightly. The look of lust leaves him in a split second and he’s resorted to glaring holes into your head as you speedwalk away from him, trying really hard not to fall on your face as your legs wobble imperceptibly beneath you.
Dean snorts behind you. “I was just observing you for the safety hazards. You know, like wearing heels so ridiculously high you can’t even walk properly in them. God, Y/n, you look like a newborn fawn.”
You simply flip him off over your shoulder, attempting to push away the blush spreading rapidly on your face.
*
The car ride to Mystic Falls is filled with tension and you wonder if it’s because Sam isn’t here to lighten the mood or if it’s this way for some other reason.
“And you want me to bait a filthy rich vampire for what reason again?” You look over at Dean from the passenger seat, brows furrowed.
Dean sighs, his hands tightening on the steering wheel. “Because Y/n, Jake said he’s got a thing for pretty, young, tough girls.” He gestures loosely to you.
You smirk at his words and he glances at you every other second, taking his eyes off the road with a weird look. “What’re you doing, smiling at like that?”
You wiggle your brows at him. “You think I’m pretty and tough.”
He glares at you. “No, I don’t.” He sounds so indignant yet childish, it takes up all your strength not to burst out into hysterics.
You chuckle lightly, turning your gaze back to the window. “Oh, I think you really do.”
He growls beside you in frustration. “Will you just shut the hell up?”
You chuckle silently at his demeanor, finding it beyond amusing. “Now, what’d be the fun in that?”
*
The ball was in full swing when you guys arrived at the luxurious mansion, a  classical music band playing loudly in the background of the elegant place and dozens of guests mingling, glasses of sparkling champagne held lightly in their soft, uncalloused hands.
You gawk at the mere beauty of the place, from its high ceilings to the huge spiraling staircases wrapping around the sides of the big room and connecting to another floor. Everything was made of marble and spotless, gold intricate designs lined every wall.
Dean goes to take care of your invitations which you had deprived some other guest the pleasure of, and you stand by the doorway, over your initial shock and in search of your target.
Your eyes trail over the entire space, desperately searching for the man Dean had shown you in a picture.
No not him. Not him. Definitely not him. And...holy shit.
Your shoulders immediately rise to straighten out your back and your lips part at the sight of the tall, lean man that stood a few feet away from you. It’s him. And he is...positively handsome, much more alluring than the picture had shown him to be. Messy light brown hair, strikingly mischevious blue eyes, and-
You quickly turn your head away when his gaze suddenly clashes with yours. And in that split second you can see his face contort into the same as yours when your eyes had landed on him and his eyes hold a light of a mix of shock and curiosity.
Your eyes are still on the ground when goosebumps begin rising on your skin and you feel a dark gaze burning into you. Warily, you raise your head to see where the eyes were coming from and just as you had suspected, he was looking at you, only this time, he was prepared to give you a full-blown smirk. And Goddamn was that smirk sexy as hell.
Tumblr media
Your breath hitches with something you can’t really explain spreading on your chest like wildfire, but you refuse to look away, refuse to show him any weakness. So holding his intense gaze, you offer him a small, dry smile. Sarcastic to the extent that you were sure he could tell without that abrupt disconnecting of gazes you did afterward to clue him in.
You could see his startled expression out of the corner of your eye and a smirk began creeping up your lips. You didn’t allow it to settle there though, intent on keeping up the act: he couldn’t feel that you had any interest or he would see you as an easy win and would therefore not be attracted enough to lure him out and chop his head off.
He liked his women strong and playing hard to get always worked in your experience. Except with Dean, your mind annoyingly reminds.
You push the thought away, or well- more like, shove it away along with the light tingles on your skin due to Klaus’s hot gaze.
Suddenly, an arm loops through yours and you jump, startled and ready to take the fucker who’d just dared touch you without permission down. “It’s just me sweetheart, keep walking,” Dean whispers in your ear. You shiver in the tiniest at his warm breath fanning the shell of your ear, but kick him discreetly in the shin, ignore his yelp, and tug him with you down that steps near the entrance.
Dean grunts. “You’re fucking impossible Y/l/n.”
You grin up at him, chin held defiantly high in the air. “You just noticed that?”
Dean offers a -what you can only describe as sarcastic- smile and clicks his tongue. “No, actually. You’ve always been a pain in my ass, it just got bigger as time progressed.”
You scoff, settling for a dark corner in the far end of the room and taking two tall glasses of champagne off a tray from a nearby waiter. “Here,” you pass one to Dean, who takes it, brings it up to his nose and sniffs it. Then he shoves it away with a disgusted frown. “Hell no.”
You roll your eyes. “Dean, drink the fucking champagne and try not to look so...basic, we have a job to do and people to convince.” You wave a dismissive hand his way and sip your champagne lightly, loving the way the cold liquid slid down your throat effortlessly.
Dean smiles sardonically once more and puts his glass on a passing waiter’s tray. “I may be basic, sweetheart, but at least I don’t act like I have a fuckin’ log shoved up my ass.”
You groan, pinching the bridge of your nose. “You know what? Whatever. We have a case to work and you’re being an ass.” Your tone turns stern, strict and businesslike. “Now; what’s the target’s name again?”
Dean huffs at you, clearly holding back the urge to argue further with you. Smart man. “Klaus Mikaelson.”
You look over your shoulder casually and well aware of the vampire’s eyes still trained on you, you lean over and whisper in Dean’s ear smugly. “Well then, look’s like I caught our target’s eye. How convenient.”
Klaus raises his brows at Dean and you blush, looking away. Why were you blushing?
Dean leans away, frowning. He immediately looks around the room, big emerald eyes in search of the vampire. When they land on him, Klaus’s gaze still drinking you in, you can see Dean’s body immediately stiffen up, his jaw clench and his hold on your arm become more firm, tugging you closer to his strong side. You stumble a bit and hold onto his shoulder as he drags you a bit farther away from the attractive man, whose eyes never leave you, without a single word.
You look up at Dean, glaring holes into his head and tug yourself away from his touch in a grand manner. “Goddamn it Winchester, we need him to find me easy to hunt remember? You giving him those looks and tugging me along like I’m your fucking bitch isn’t helping our case, he might think we’re actually together or something. And then he won’t go for me.” You pretend to shudder, scrunching your nose up in mock disgust.
The truth was, the thought of you and Dean in a relationship -even if it didn’t involve the apple pie life for free- it made a certain type of warm wrap its arms around your heart.
Dean looks down at you, his green eyes cold as he releases a small snort. “Pfft.. yeah, as if that could ever happen.” His remark sends a pang of hurt directly into your chest and you pray that it didn’t show on your stoic face as he continues. “Anyways it doesn’t matter what Mr. Mikasson thinks about us.”
You frown. “And why the hell not?”
Dean sighs. “You’re not going to be bait anymore. I’ve decided we’ll go in an old-fashioned way and chop his head off when he heads off somewhere alone.”
You sigh tiredly, whispering back. “Mhmm, I suppose that’s a genius plan, Winchester. Except for one tiny problem. When exactly do you suspect he’ll be alone because I don’t see that ever happening?” you raise your brows challengingly, pointing towards Klaus being chatted up by, well, everyone.
Dean doesn’t respond, only shrugs, his gaze completely monotonous. “Dunno. What I do know, though, is that you, sweetheart, are not going to be bait for that blood-sucking leech,” he growls the insult under his breath.
You reel back, genuinely offended. “Excuse me? And since when do you decide what I can and can’t do?”
Dean clenches his jaw again, making the sharp edges sharper and tempting you to run your finger along it. You shiver in delight and watch as he gives you that infuriated look that makes you hot all over.
“I am not deciding for you, I’m informing you that you don’t have a choice to decide on.”
You can feel the match of anger slowly being lit in the pit of your stomach at his words and can’t really seem to find it in you to care for his reasoning behind them as your blind rage takes over.
“I don’t then, huh? Well, fuck, I guess I gotta listen to the almighty Dean Winchester and not do my job,” you throw your hands up, stepping away from him promptly. You point your index finger at him. “Dean, let me make something very clear for you, in case it wasn’t already; I’m not your bitch nor am I anyone else’s. I decide what happens to me, whether that’d be my body, my life, hell,” You laugh humorlessly, “I’ve probably lost my sanity already.” Your face turns grim and the dry smile melts off as you bite out the next words slowly. “But it’s all happened because I made the decision to put it all on the line. Me, not Sam or Cas and it sure as hell wasn’t you,” you smirk in the tiniest bit. “So let me inform you that I’ll be baited all I want, when and to whom I want to.” You realize that must’ve sounded kind of dumb to say, I mean who wants to be bait? But you really don’t care.
You suddenly relax your posture, pull on a sly smile at his temperamental face and smooth the non-existent wrinkles on your dress. “Now that that’s out of the way...are you going to help me or will I have to go through this alone? Because with or without you, I’m doing it, Dean.”
Dean eyes you for an entire minute, his expression switching from completely pissed off to blank to thoughtful to about-to-say-something-but-holding-back in the span of that one minute, cluing you into the internal battle he must’ve been having.
Finally, after the excruciating minute, his shoulders droop and he sighs defeatedly. “Fine,” he speaks in the same hushed tone as before, except this time he’s more pissed, and you grin in delight.
“Great! Now, we’ll go in as we planned before, except...” you tap your finger on your chin and glance over your shoulder at Klaus who, as you presumed, was no longer looking at you, but talking animatedly to a taller dark-haired man who looked remarkably like himself. Strange.
“I don’t think the info we’ve been given is accurate. There’s something...different about this vampire don’t you think? And in that case, I say we’d have to go about it in a completely new way.”
Dean frowns. “What do you mean different?”
“I mean, Klaus Mikaelson is an extremely wealthy, powerful, influential,” handsome “vampire and I think the way to get to him can’t just be done in one day. We might need to work this case longer than we thought. Gather more info.” You keep out the part where he had this strange enticing aura drawing you in even from across this humongous room and you simply couldn’t figure out why.
Dean groans. “Fucking shit. They’re all the goddamn same Y/n. They’re all evil motherfuckers that need their goddam heads chopped off. I really don’t get what you could possibly think is different about Mr. Fancy Pants Mikaelson over there.” He all but spits the name out like bile in his mouth.
You sigh and glance over at Klaus for what must’ve been the hundredth time that night. There was something about him, you couldn’t quite put your finger on it, but you felt incredibly attracted to it. Something about the cocky yet charming air he gave off reminded you somewhat of Dean, but in a completely different way.  It was that sparkle in his eyes...
It was strange and sort of scary, to be honest.
“Dean, I think it’d be best if we took it easy and went with a new plan. Instead of simply dangling me in front of him like he’s a lion and I a piece of tender meat, let’s do it differently.” You never take your eyes off Klaus when you speak and almost as if he can feel you looking at him, he turns to you, baby blue eyes lighting up when they land on your own y/e/c eyes already boring into him.
“I’m going to seduce him.”

CHARACTERS & WCS.
perseus hayden alexander.
a former foster care sibling.
it’s been a while, but he’s a pretty memorable kid / hasn’t changed much at all. until age 5 / 2004, percy was in foster care + went through a bunch of homes. this is someone who was in one of them! probs knows stuff abt him that even he doesn’t/doesn’t rem. the possibilities!
first relationship / current enemy. TAG
basically, it was percy’s first relationship back in his teens !! cute lil puppy love except he’s awful so not puppies more like … squirrels. like his first everything !! and then they broke up n it didn't go great !!! since then it has evolved and gotten much much worse - they’re now totally and completely against each other, hate each other, and will fuck w each other when given half a chance.
first relationship / current enemy.
basically, it was percy’s first relationship back in his teens !! cute lil puppy love except he’s awful so not puppies more like … squirrels. like his first everything !! and then they broke up n it didn't go great !!! since then it has evolved and gotten much much worse - they’re now totally and completely against each other, hate each other, and will fuck w each other when given half a chance.
barbara “bobbi” morse.
old mission target.
bobbi worked with shield for a very long time! she went on various missions, undercover and classified and the like. on this particular mission, this is someone she was targetting. what for is up to you, but the options are rather open to interpretation. just generally something that would have set them against shield’s desires.
rival.
bobbi being widely competitive when it comes to just about anything (science, training, lecturing) is bound to attract some friendly competition. they’re constantly versing each other, even in the simplest things, like giving out test results or getting ready.
ex that ended on bad terms.
it’s a common story. girl meets person, girl dates person, girl and person breaks up, girl literally hopes person dies in a fire. for whatever the reason, they didn't part ways peacefully. and you bet your sweet ass she plays the part of scorned ex great.
andromeda rosalie isley-quinzel.
poly ship. ( 0 / 2 ) TAG
andy has baggage, certainly. she’s a past weapon x detainee, unbeknownst to her, adopted from a broken family, and had her heart broken by the first person she dated. she’s serial dated for years. but these people, they made her stop & start to appreciate love for what it is again. this connect can be filled by someone of any gender.
ex. TAG
andy was younger and very awfully naive. she’s never really gotten over it. for whatever reason, they broke up— it could have to do with her slightly overbearing personality, or general attitude, or whatever, totally up to you, but it was the other muse’s decision to break up, leaving andromeda heartbroken and now seeking out love in places it’s not.
former prediction.
andy PREDICTED something about this muse, in the past. how long ago and what is up to you. it was something SERIOUS, though, and most likely bad. it could be as wild as death, or marriage, or a death in the family, or a regret, etc. it’s rly up to u !!
roman darkhölme.
childhood love.
this is honestly rly cute. they were lil lil kids when they were friends and were super cute n close. they got fake “married” once or something. they were just best friends who grew apart. now roman is hella dif. he’s manipulative and a total fiend and it’s like “where’s that cute lil kid who promised to fight off all the bad guys in my life??” like … cute n sad.
enemy.
they see him for what he is: a manipulator. they either have past experience with him or are just adept ( VERY adept; he’s good at hiding ) at noticing him. they don’t enjoy him. not his view of the world, his actions, or his drug dealing. roman doesn’t like them for a point. he doesn’t like being exposed.
clientelle.
the darkhölme-mccoy drug dealing business is going great, actually. paragon is full of just the type. and with roman’s skill of persuasion, they haven’t gotten caught yet. this is someone that roman knows from that particular side of his work. he sells them drugs.
loki.
someone he had a kid with.
the other side of the story. not someone he fathered/mothered, but rather someone he had a child w. can be any gender for obvs reasons. how old the child is is up to u!!!
someone he pretended to be someone else with, extendedly.
for them, he pretended to be a different person… for a very extended period of time. it’s a trick he played often, but for them it was honestly excessive. the nature of their relationship is up to you, but upon coming to paragon this person finds out that loki is LOKI ! god of mischief, stories, lies, what have u. they’re probs pissed lmao
asgardians.
while most midgardians known them as the god of mischief / alien asshole, this character knows a side of loki outside of the lore. they’ve met their kids & can even remember little loki, just around causing mischief, not trying to overthrow odin & what else. they have a better understanding.
winona falcone.
older sibling.
the oldest falcone ! mwahaha. so it’s this whole big thing that WINONA IS THE HEIR, but she wasn’t always. she has an older sibling who was disinherited from the family & cast out. a big ole family disgrace that none of them like to talk about. the reason behind this is up to you ! but it can range from being a MUTANT to a DEGENERATE to being SOFT to whatever. sofia is a pretty uptight gal.
best friend.
she’s not trying to replace raph. she didn’t think she would actually ever be given the chance, and for good reason. i mean, look at what happened to the last guy who took the spot. but they’re friends, for whatever reason ( and, damn, do the people commenting on her instagram posts speculate ).
ex.
she’s always been the exception that proves the rule. her sexuality is no different in that she’s not hte most comfortable with it. it’s just another thing she never told sofia about, lest her position as heir was to be threatened. that makes her exes an interesting story, especially considering she won’t acknowledge some of them.
skylar helix mccoy.
hateship to ship.
open to fem aligning nb & girls / both have reputations that proceed themselves ! sky obvs bc she had one inherently n bc of what happened & the other for w/e reason. pref an xkid. they knew each other when sky was younger but they didnt get along & when they reconnect , they dont get along right either. theyre a PLAYER really. like new girl on their arm every month. sky becomes one of the girls, rly. and sparks fly. and shes mad abt it. they have this antagonistic hatefuck relationship. and she finds herself starting to rly like them, falling in lov w them, unbeknownst to their own feelings (that shes the ONE). and like that
tutoree.
girl is, in fact, a genius, though people of many have expressed their disbelief at such a fact. she literally didn’t have education for eleven whole years of her development and is still ahead of her peers. she tutors in her free time. while totally organized, studyblr style, her teaching style leaves something to be desired in her paraphrasing of many a thing. Julie (the Legion) x Adam Francis (one shot) Summary: Lone wolves have good taste
There are clouds, drifting along in the sky, darkness everlasting among a domain that none could ever leave once they were brought within. A girl in a dirty beat-up leather jacket sits in the grass, her hoodie covering her head. A mask hid her visage, her breathing slow and quiet as her shoulders relaxed. Julie waited.
It always happened, at some point. The whispers echoing inside of her skull urged her desire to kill. No feeling could satisfy her like the warmth of blood between her figures, the sound of metal tearing through flesh, the cries of pain that accompany them. The tip of her tongue ran over the top row of her teeth, so ready for it.
Ready for the Entity to choose her. Between her and her group, only one ever got chosen at a time for a fun killing spree. Julie always rolled her eyes with an audible sigh in annoyance when her best gal pal whimpered and cried like a little baby whenever she got back from her blood fest.
"It's not hard, Sus," Julie snipped, her arm drooping over the shoulder of the smaller girl as she pulled her into her side. Her hand came to Susie's mask, pulling it away from her and she sucked in her breath. The small girl grabbed it from her possessively, holding it close to her chest.
"Tch, you're moody," the older girl sighed, pinching the Susie's plum of a cheek and giving a little shake. Susie jerked her face away with her brows furrowed, clearly not in the mood to play around. But Julie didn't care. She teased her friend further until she physically had to push her back off of her.
"M'kay, got it."
Julie backed off with the click of her tongue, sauntering away through their domain to look for their other friends, Frank or Joe. They often went off by themselves because they were secretly gay for each other. At least, that's what Julie believed to be true, so she treated them that way. She felt a little gay for Susie, but Susie valued her personal space and didn't like to be fucked with. And Julie loved to play games, but she got annoyed with nobody is willing to be her little participant.
It wasn't long before she came across the guys, dropping down between where they were sitting. They welcome her, scooting over a bit. Julie let her mask rest at her side with theirs as well.
"Sus is so sensitive right now. What a little crybaby," she sneered about her friend with a scoff, leaning back with her arms propping her up.
"Y'know she ain't into it so why do you fuck with her," Joe chimed in with his opinion with his amused titters, playing around with his favorite blade in his hands.
"Because she makes it easy."
Frank snorted, commenting that Julie is a predator who plays around too much with anybody that happens to catch her interest. Joe mentioned an old story from long before as they began to reminiscence about random events, one in particular Julie shared about her cruelest encounters with their prey, the survivors. He shook his head, saying that she was too mean for her own good.
And it made her smile darkly.
She cared for nobody but herself, even within her pack, the Legion, who all swore absolute loyalty to one another. Or perhaps being in the realm of the Entity encouraged her to align with her true nature. She wanted to hurt. She wanted to cause pain.
It made her feel, truly feel, in a world of darkness void of all emotion. Their only hobby had to become killing, there was nothing else offered to them. She had to fill the emptiness inside and nothing ever came close, no matter how many she sacrificed.
As her friends went on a tangent, she began to get lost in her own thoughts idly. Did they also feel similarly? She never asked because she couldn't really find it within herself to even care. They were just her friends that somehow came here with her, years and years ago it felt like. As if they'd been here for an eternity, continuously killing.
She couldn't feel a damn thing. It's like she wasn't even there.
The only thing that gave her any excitement was when the tendrils of the Entity enveloped her entire being, bringing her to her only salvation. Yet, for some reason, each of them were summoned, less and less. It was driving her mad, sitting around, waiting. Her leg bounced in anticipation.
When it finally happened, she always unleashed her desires to the fullest, hunting down their bodies for her to demolish, to throw around their insides into the air, laughing with glee, sinking her blade into the necks of the deceased. She loved it when they ran. Oh, how she fucking loved it when they tried so hard.
It made it feel so much better when she nailed them with perfect precision. Look at me, she'd think, breathing heavy after a successful chase. Look at me... I destroy them... Look at me!!
She chewed on their hope and spat it into their faces, the most cruel of grins spreading her lips wide, teeth barred, ready to strike. The true serpent queen and to whom she coiled never escaped.
If they were the last, she'd gain their trust with her flirtatious act and lead them to their dreams, the promise of surviving alive and she'd rip it out from under their feet, her laughter unconstrained when her blade entered their meat. She always savored that sweet look of betrayal.
"It was your mistake for trusting me," she'd whisper in their face, twisting her knife in their wound as they cried. "Dumb fuck."
Her demented behavior made those who recognized her afraid of her if they just so happened to be pit against her multiple times and she made sure that they would lose. If they escaped, her violent anger never went without a punching bag. No matter who it was. Her friends subtly avoided her, but it wasn't any concern. Stay afraid, she'd think.
Everything was unstimulating and annoying.
As soon as she was sought out for her trial, she prepared immediately. While she approached the designated area for her transport, she looked to a small black hole on the ground, seemingly endless. A coin cut in two perfect halves were tossed into it. That should make them have a difficult time, she mused silently.
That feeling long awaited for was ascending, her smile welcoming the fog as it took her away from the mundane, boring existence in the land of stagnancy. Nothing to do, nothing to play with, nothing to break and destroy. She went easy on her pals, though only occasionally. Everyone was subjected to her torment.
Her eyes sharply scanned her new surroundings, the grip of the knife tight in her fist as she bit her lip as her excitement swelled. Julie prowled around her machines, listening intently for any of them to slip up.
She heard an explosion somewhere nearby.
"Ahh, yes, that's good," she uttered under her breath, turning fast as she broke into a sprint, hearing footsteps down the narrow hallways. As she slipped through a broken automated door that opened and closed, she darted around the corner, catching a new survivor she didn't immediately recognize.
The knife slashed through their arm held up in defense, as they hadn't expected her right then and there. The fellow attempted to turn tail and run toward potential safety if he could make it, but the bloodthirsty killer hadn't had her fill, every part of her electrified and ready.
A cry echoed off of the bald surfaces as the blade pierced into the upper meat of their thigh, tripping onto their side as Julie pinned them down onto the ground with escalating giggles. As she rose her knife above her head, ready to plunge down with all of her strength, she hesitated for a split second.
Beneath her layed a dark skinned boy dressed a bit like some rich guy, now drenched in blood, but when she got a good look at him with red light near an exit fading in and out, his facial features were strikingly handsome and she felt herself very enticed. She licked her lips as she surveyed his frightened face, lovely dark brown eyes, a bit of a beard, his broad chest heaving in fear of the killer looming over him.
"You're pretty cute," she commented to his complete surprise, his eyes widening with his panic and confusion.
Julie lowered her body until it rested on the fellow's lap, straddling his waist as his cheeks flushed by her contact. The tip of her knife tapped against her mask thoughtfully before she leaned down over him, harshly gripping his jaw in between her fingers.
"Tell me where your friends are and I'll let you live," she lied blatantly, tilting her head with the knife inching closer to the blood pumping violently through the veins in his neck.
"Oh, don't look so miserable," she taunted in a low voice when he didn't answer, jerking his face back to be centered with hers when he attempted to look away briefly. If he was mulling over his options, he'd better make it quick, because she wasn't patient.
"You haven't seen anything, yet."
It wasn't a promise, it was a threat. He was trembling, swallowing hard, barely able to remain his composure and she found it a little bit adorable.
"They're... They're upstairs," he breathed weakly, the accent in his voice capturing her attention. An audible snort came from beneath her mask, assuming he told a lie for a chance to run away from her, but she found herself attracted to him a little more. He was hot, his voice was hot, apart of her cursed that it wasn't fair that he was just some puny little survivor because she felt like she wanted to start feeling him up just to see how he would react to it and wondering what he could taste like over the moment of her inward and briefly acknowledged physical attraction.
But she was a killer and that was what she wanted to solely do, not some weird perverted creepy shit like a certain other killer that came to her mind. At least she could look at some eye candy while she murdered them in cold blood. She liked stabbing the one muscular guy she had seen a couple times before, she always made the chase difficult and she liked the challenge.
She smiled slightly at her girlish shallowness. She hadn't felt in such a way in a long time, how nostalgic, to remember what it felt like to be human, when she thought to herself that she preferred the shy guy who melted with every action she performed over the super obviously yummy hot guy.
With an amused scoff, Julie began to back off of her cornered prey, but her eyes focused down on him when she had grabbed her arm... to stop her.
"You think that's a good idea?" she hummed with a cruel smile as the fellow immediately withdrew his hand away from her, his face flushing with punishing embarrassment. She bet he wished he could disappear right about now.
"Can I see you?" he blurted and Julie began to laugh at his overly forward approach. Oh, what the hell.
She reached up and removed her mask to willingly reveal herself to him, her twisted simper met with his eyes and he looked more taken aback than she would've guessed. Julie had a good face, short hair cropped and choppy and an incredible mean mug. Dark green eyes that looked soulless in dim lights. He wouldn't have thought before then that such an evil expression could be so beautiful.
"Like what you see?" she purred in a dark tone, her fingers gliding over his chest toward his neck.
And for a moment, the fellow actually nodded, despite the horrible chagrin prominent in his expression and she outright laughed at his reactions. He only watched as her face contorted with her amusement, small dips in her cheeks present where the corners of her lips rose.
"Dimples..." he uttered softly and she got caught up on her chortle for a moment, her fingers brushing against the very thing he had drawn attention to. It had been so long since anyone other than the Legion had seen her face.
Her smirk deepened as she glowered down at him, standing to her full height. Her hand covered in blood and grime was held out to him. Helping the fellow to his feet, she tilted her head at him before picking her mask up off of the floor.
"They better be upstairs or I'm gonna get you," she said gruffly, that maniacal grin covered over by a similarly grinning white mask. As she turned her back, she heard a few of his foot steps nearly following after her.
"They aren't," he suddenly said with conviction, Julie turning halfway toward him as she swung her knife playfully back and forth at her side. Ha, was he becoming infatuated so quickly? How flattering.
"Think I'm stupid do ya'?" she jested in a blithely tone, pointing the knife in his direction then toward her forehead before turning her back to leave him to his own vices. Oh, the other ones crawling around her domain, they were so dead.
One by one, she cornered them, following her bliss in being the one to end their lives. But when she arrived to the handsome fellow, she teased him relentlessly, toying around with how he reacted so expressively.
She decided to let him live. Just this once. Unless she saw him again in the future, then maybe she would consider it, because he was cute and all. She might even ask him what his name is. It was a log in the files of her memories to save for the next time, all the while, waiting in boredom for her next hunt.
It was fun to have a little detour from her primary objective.
Some eye candy to lick and chew on.

Guess who has finally seen Wonder Woman?
Hint: It is me.
(SPOILERS! DON’T READ IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCH WONDER WOMAN YET!)
It was everything tumblr has promised me and more. I wanna see it again. I wanna see the 5 hour long extended version of it. I want at least 10 prequels.
I hope everyone at DC took notes, because that is how you do a superhero movie: with character building. It is something that I think was missing in both Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. Of course those movies focused on more than one character, but Marvel proved with the Avenger movies and Civil War how to make such ensemble movies still work. The only other solo DCEU movie we had so far did also a lot right with the character building: Man of Steel. I really liked the first part of that movie, and it had its best moments when it focused on Clark and his question of identity. I feel that Diana as a character is quite similiar. They are both non human and therefore see humantiy from a special perspective. Both were born with great powers and decided to use it to help humanity.
Patty Jenkins did the right thing to stick with her character from beginning to end. The few scenes where we saw the bad guys plan bad things were short enough and so for the most part we are with Diana. I do love the fish-out-of-water-characters a lot; especially non human characters observing humanity. One of the main conflicts in Wonder Woman was about the human nature, if humans are good and if they deserve to be saved. Ares as the big bad was... well... there. I admit I have kind of lowered my expections when it comes to comic book villians. But the questions he asked, the conflict he created for Diana, the morality of the story... that was great.
Diana is thrown into one of the worst times of human history. All she sees is pain. And yet she doesn’t blame humanity for it but Ares. She believes that ultimately humans are good and Ares is the only one to blame. It is a very simple view and in the end she does learn a lesson. Yes, Ares manipulated humanity. But in the end the humans made their own choices, they decided on their own to start a war and to kill millions (and we know history will repeat itself even without the God of War to help). And yet Diana saves them. She doesn’t kill Dr. Maru even though she has the chance. She believes in the good even though everything she has seen of humanity should have proven her otherwise. She never saw a human world without war and yet she believes in it. She was created to be a weapon and yet her message is that love will save the world. And just can you imagine any other supergero to say that and be sincere about it? And to believe it as well?
It is also a movie about the loss of innonence. Themyscira is a dream world until the humans find it. Before Antiope and Steve Diana has never seen death, she never experienced loss, and then she loses both her mentor and her lover. Diana doesn’t judge, she doesn’t take sides. She doesn’t believe the Germans are evil; to her all humans are the same. She can experience joy when she sees a baby or eats ice cream for the first time. Her understanding of what it means to be good, to do the right ting might be oversimplified for the complexity of the war. But that is also her greatest strength. She does what she believes is right, without strategy or tactics. Steve says at the end he can (only) save the day while Diana can save the world, but it is more than that. Steve tries to save as many people as he can but he knows he can’t save everyone. Diana though won’t have any of that. She will save everyone.
Let’s speak about the fighting scenes. I really liked them. And you know in general I don’t mind fighting sequences/action scenes in movies if they are done right. But ever so often you just see a lot of explosions & noise. I loved the battle of Themyscira. The fighting style of the Amazons was so extra. I loved that Steve was appearently so impressed by Antiope’s shield jumping thing he did it again when they were fighting for the villiage. That whole villiage fighting sequence was so great. And of course the no man’s land scene. After seeing it I get why everyone was so emotional about it. First of all it illustrated Diana’s character: doing the right thing even though it seems impossible. And then we have her, this great warrior, walking alone against the whole German battalion shooting at her. Like not only did they throw her at one of the worst time of human history but also at a time where woman were stil treated as second class humans. She was constantly belittled, not allowed to speak or even be in the same room as the men. Her walking against all the men shooting at her felt to me symbolic to that. She walked alone against a world that tried to shut her down. And by doing so she inspired others to follow her. Making her in return realize she is not alone.
And speaking of these guys following her. Sameer, Charlie and Chief were all outsiders. Charlie was suffering from PTSD, Sameer stated he has the wrong skin colour and Chief was a man without a home (but did you see how happy everyone at the battalion was to see him?). They were as much outsiders as Diana was. But she gave them back their hope, after the war had taken so much from them.
And then there is Steve. He is the only weathly white dude, but it kind of tells a lot about him to see who is friends are (non rich non white dudes). What I liked about him was that he was a hero in his own way. He didn’t need Diana to inspire him to do the right ting; he already tried to do that. What he started was basically a suicide mission and in the end he did sacrifize himself in order to help. I liked that they didn’t try to make him a douchebag who is actually good, but that he was a genuine good guy.
And well the romantic subplot. I generall (same as action scenes) don’t mind some romance if it is done right and doesn’t feel forced to me. In this case the chemistry between the characters was great (general speaking the casting was great; Gal Gadot was the perfect choice) and the love story did add to the plot. I loved how they didn’t try to act around the fact that everyone on Themyscira was super gay and how none judgemental Steve was of it. In fact I think it is the reason he didn’t quite now how to act around Diana. He was smitten right from the start and for the rest of the movie that lovestruck boy worshipped the ground Diana walked on (as you should). He was so gentle with her, barely even tried to touch her until she allowed and encouraged him to. I didn’t even mind that half of the time he was running after her and tried to protect her; I don’t think he thought she couldn’t handle herself (not after she saved his life the second time in the alley). No, it was more out of the love he felt for her and his fear something might happen to her. He is so soft and caring and loves her so genuinely that of course she would fall for him. I desperately need some fan fic where Zeus grant his daughter a wish for doing so good and resurrects her boyfriends. Bonus if it is in the modern time and now Steve is the fish out of water and Diana has to teach him to use a computer. It’s been a long time I felt so instantly conected to a character. I see all the post pointing out the similarities between her and Steve Rogers, which doesn’t surprise me because I think they represent the same ideas. No wonder he was the last superhero I felt the same connection to. Still this movie feels different, because for the first time I saw a movie made by a woman, about a woman, for women. There is something very empowering about this movie, which is rare to find in cinema these days. I only feel love for this movie.

We Discover the Best Key Words to Rank Your Website with Cheap SEO Package Plans
This segment may take you through the key word selection procedure. Especially, we will go into detail about locating key words to rank for in a highly competitive market.
Signup for our Affordable SEO Packages Plans and services where you can rank your site on the first page of google. In addition, we provide a trial service before you begin.
What are Long Tail key words?
They differ from regular key phrases in their length and specificity.
A normal keyword might be"image designer" Depending on where you are, the expense of an AdWord for that particular term could be quite hefty. Ranking organically for that term could be an uphill battle.
The strategy we will get into will ultimately position you to rank high organically for that short, competitive key word.
However, it begins with ranking for extended tail keywords first.
A very long tail key word isn't any very long phrase or question someone would type into Google that would result in your product or service.
Here are some examples for long tail key words stemming from the Normal keyword"graphic designer":
?"how do I select a graphic designer"
?"what does a graphic designer do"
?"how much do graphic designers bill"
?"finding a great graphic designer"
?"picture designer logo examples"
As you can see, long tail keywords consist of whole, or partial, phrases or questions related to the companies or services you would like to entice clients for.
In our era of advertisements, paying for advertisements that say,"Hey, I am the very best bankruptcy lawyer in New York. Hire me! Look how great I am! I went to Harvard," does not cut it anymore.
Among the most prosperous features Google has started using in search results is known as the Google Answer Box or Rich Snippets. Most of the questions that activate a response box response follow a"how" or"what" sentence structure, which creates a long-tail key word.
The idea behind the idea is to provide a user with a quick and accurate response to a query without them having to read an whole article. And it is working beautifully for Google, as click-through prices have grown more than 30 percent when results appear in the response box.
Here are a Couple of examples of the response box in actions:
Many people's search queries have become more and more particular, which explains why it's critical to implement a long tail keyword plan.
Voice Search
Why are search questions becoming longer and more specific?
Voice search, the primary culprit, is on the rise. It's estimated that 40% of adults run a minumum of one voice hunt every day.
When folks perform a voice hunt, they have a tendency to use more natural language, resulting in longer questions. (thus the importance of long-tail key phrases, yet again.)
They're being replaced by"the way to clarify butter" and"how to make a raised garden bed." This tendency is guiding how Google's AI and machine learning technology rankings search results.
It's geared toward helping users find more contextualized searches rather than exact keyword matches.
In an online marketplace, it's easy to rank for simple key words like"paintball field Tampa," that was the first website I ever rated on top of Google's first page. There are just a couple of paintball fields in Tampa, so getting on the initial page was relatively easy.
Sticking to this keyword research process I will teach you in this section will prop your site at the very top part of Google in virtually no time.
In a highly competitive market like"bankruptcy attorney New York," you'd use this same precise keyword research process, except it is going to need more ingenuity in the choice of your keywords.
For highly competitive niches, you will implement a very long tail keyword choice strategy. Let us jump in and learn why you need to adhere to the extended tail keyword research plan:
People are turning to the world wide web to answer as many questions as possible before they even think about hiring a professional. This applies to most product and services purchases.
When people have maxed out the information that they seek, then they will begin looking for someone to hire or some thing to buy.
If you rank on the first page of Google for every possible question they have about bankruptcy in New York, that would you think they will want to hire or buy from:
The guy/gal with a $300 AdWord distance at the peak of the very first page of Google that says"Look at me!  I'm a bankruptcy attorney! Hire me today!"
Or the guy/gal that gave them a great deal of free precious content that answered each and every question they posed?
Also, as soon as you get started rank for a great deal of long tail keywords for your business, as a byproduct, you will automatically begin ranking for the short, competitive search phrases, such as"bankruptcy lawyer" and"graphic designer" if you follow these steps.
The very best thing about standing organically in Google is the fact that it is free.
It won't cost you $300 per click.
Another interesting fact is individuals that tend to scour the web for replies before hiring or purchasing something tend to be higher quality customers that are going to be loyal to you - provided that the service or product is high quality.
Make sure you are great at what you're doing.
The biggest, biggest collection of articles that answer every possible question regarding your product or service can't reevaluate a barrage of negative Google, Facebook, Yelp, and Social Media ratings for not delivering as promised.
This publication will go ahead and assume you are great at what you do and care for your customers. Onward!
How to Find Long Tail Keywords:
Generate a Keyword Idea Storm!
Step 1: you have to make a list of any and all phrases or questions which come to mind which you have to do with your business or service.
I strongly advise you to use Google Sheets, which resembles a cloud edition of Excel, to create your own thought storm.
Step 2: At another browser tab or window, open a Google search window. Put your cursor in the search bar and start typing any and all questions relevant to your business that come into mind.
Watch carefully as Google automatically attempts to pre-fill the search bar with a forecast of what you are typing.
Everything Google is trying to pre-fill and predict while you kind are often hunted long tail keywords you need to record on your idea storm.
Step 3: When you find a related question or phrase, type it out in the column and row in the Google Sheet. List each separate question or phrase at its own row under the column like this:
Keyword Search Term
What Type of bankruptcy should file
What kind of bankruptcies are there
Guru Tip: Sort as gradually as possible, character-by-character, which means you don't overlook some of the valuable search phrases Google is serving for you on a silver platter.
Step 4: With the predicted search query shown previously, click on the top question . Then, scroll to the bottom of the initial page.  You'll Find another valuable gift from Google that looks like that:
Yes. Yes, they are, in fact, more frequently searched long-tail keywords to grow your own Keyword Idea Storm.
Step 5: Insert them ALL to a Keyword Idea Storm.
Step 6: Go back into the second called search phrase from the very first measure,"what kind of bankruptcy are there," and hunt for this phrase in Google.
Then, scroll down to the bottom of the first page again and include those gold nuggets to your Keyword Idea Storm:
Step 7: Repeat steps two through six until you've exhausted every possible search phrase.
Remember to enter all the search terms you find in the bottom of the first page of Google into the primary search bar to find more prevalent search terms in the bottom.
Keep typing in ideas for questions and phrases pertinent to your company in the main Google search bar and looking for predictively-filled search terms.
Measure 8: When you thought it was over, there's an additional place you can find specific words related to the key word for your post. These kinds of words are called LSI key words.
LSI stands for"Latent Semantic Indexing" keywords, which is only a fancy term for key words associated with a specific topic. So instead of keyword matching, Google is much more interested in subject matching.
An LSI keyword for the video game Halo would be Xbox. Though the words are totally different, Halo is a video game that is played on the Xbox video game console, as well as computers. So it's possible to see the contextual connection between these.
LSI keywords should be utilised in context with your subject matter.  The importance of using LSI key words is growing more prudent as the inherent artificial intelligence proceeds to consider search queries in a contextual way, versus specific phrase matching.
To quickly find LSI keywords for your articles, use this handy tool from LSI Graph to run a question: https://lsigraph.com/
By the end of this Keyword Idea Storm procedure, you ought to have a high number of lengthy tail keyword search terms to work with.
Depending upon your niche or market, you will have 10-20 stone, or upwards of 50+. Get creative and try to consider your services or products in numerous dimensions from multiple angles.

CONGRATULATIONS, NEHA!
You have been accepted to play the role of ARIA BELLEFONTE with the faceclaim of CRYSTAL REED. Please create your account and send it to the main in the next 24 hours. First of all, we would like to apologize for the delay regarding your application and thank you for your cooperation. We certainly hope it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience, because we are so excited to have you and your Aria on the dashboard that, to us, a day worth of delay felt incredibly late. Your application showed clearly and loudly that you connect extremely well to your character and that you understand her to perfection. Personally, I believe you demonstrated you get Aria’s dynamic with Elizabeth so well that, if she were still alive, I would have no problem giving you both characters, and that is no understatement.
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name and pronouns:
Hi guys! I’m Neha and I prefer the she/her pronouns
Age:
18
Time-zone:
EST
Activity level:
I can have a pretty high activity level because I’m on summer break! I start work in a week, but even then I’ll only be part time.
Triggers:
No triggers!
IN CHARACTER INFORMATION
Desired character:
Aria Bellefonte. I chose her because in a lot of ways I can relate to her, especially in life irl. My friend actually pointed her out to me when we were both going through your rp and said, “look, that’s you”. Apathy, though not to as high of a degree as Aria, I’ve been told is something of a specialty of mine (though I swear I try not to be as pessimistic as I come out to be). Of course, not a great introduction to me as a person and I promise I’m not horrible, that’s just what really connected me to her, because I have that aspect of not caring but I’m still explained as usually the happiest in the room by my friends. All a mystery. I also really loved the part of her story that defines her, the part about Elizabeth being the first thing/person she really, really cared about. And the “gal pal” love doesn’t hurt.
Gender and pronouns of the character:
Cis female, she/her
Changes:
none!
Traits:
Hedonistic- Aria is a reveller, and has been since birth. Why not, when you have anything you would ever want and more at your fingertips? The drinking started early with champagne, thousand dollar bottles of wine, and hundred year old cognac. It was old hat by the time she turned eighteen, then it turned to sex, drugs, and adrenaline.
Reckless- The drugs and alcohol are just stand ins for what Aria really craves — the quickening of her heartbeat, the pumping of her veins, that rush of adrenaline is the only thing that makes her feel alive, makes her feel like she may not be a robot or a block of ice after all. It was part of the reason she loved Elizabeth at first, before it turned into something so much deeper than that. Now that she’s gone, Aria has no more outlet, and might be heading for a crash sometime soon
Intuitive- Aria Bellefont is not smart. She wasn’t dumb, but she certainly wasn’t Oxford levels of smart, something established long before her eyes first alighted on ivy-covered walls. The thing she is though, is intuitive. Maybe it comes from a lifetime of observing human behavior from an emotional distance, or maybe it just comes from the fact that if she couldn’t beat them through the books, she’d have to at least keep up with them on the social side of things.
Nihilistic- Of course this is kind of a given, but it’s important to note how Elizabeth swept into Aria’s life and altered her perception of the world. Going from caring about nothing to loving something, one thing with all your heart is a huge change, and having it ripped away from you hurts worse than anything, perhaps proving that you were always right — but now, you don’t want to be anymore.
Extras:
Major- International Relations, because it is one of the easier majors and she’s pretty sure she could fairly easily become an ambassador due to her family money and the international connections that come with it. To say that she doesn’t care about her major would be an understatement. She wasn’t as much persuaded to do IA, as much as it was forcing her to do IA. It doesn’t hurt that her mother is already the French ambassador to Belgium.
Family- To say the Bellefonte family is old money is like saying water is wet. The thing is, even Aria’s parents don’t quite know how old their money is. Rumors say that they can trace their lineages back to the old nobility of France and Russia, but who, how, and when is all lost to the sands of time. One thing is for sure, they are rich beyond comprehension, and take it for granted too. But money isn’t everything, and the bonds between the three are brittle from the coldness that surrounds this family. Aria’s mother and father live in separate countries for “work” and as far as Aria’s concerned, the only thing tying her to them is money. So, as King Midas discovered long ago, wealth can be a poison, and it has poisoned this family perhaps beyond repair.
Sexuality- Aria’s never been much one to put labels on things, partially because she just doesn’t care enough to. Poor v rich, sinful v pure, liberal v conservative, gay v straight, none of it matters to her (a viewpoint that is very easy to carry through her privileged life). So putting a label on her sexuality has never been a priority. She likes who she likes, she hooks up with who she hooks up with, and usually it’s just spur of the moment. Perhaps it means something that she’s only truly loved someone in mind, body, and soul, but Aria isn’t about to go psychoanalyzing it just yet.
Aesthetics: there’s some stuff i made and some stuff i reblogged here: http://neharps.tumblr.com/tagged/aria
PARA SAMPLE
The news found her in someone else’s bed, head pounding and stomach turning. The messenger was a callous and cold campus alert text reading: “Oxford student body found, counseling available if needed.” She didn’t know it at the time, but that text was the end of the world as she knew it. The light didn’t go all at once, it faded slowly, starting with the text, and ending with the sorrowful face of the first person she saw that morning. “She’s dead Aria. Elizabeth’s dead.” She should have known the pit in her stomach wasn’t from the alcohol.
Aria had never reacted quite the same emotionally to anything as a normal person did. When she was six and her cat died, she had stared at him in “quiet reflection”, then ran off to go play with her other toys. As her parent’s marriage broke down, she had looked at it with apathy that sometimes even bridged on a sick sense of satisfaction. Things and people didn’t mean quite as much to her as they meant to other people, but in this case, she was perfectly with the norm, cycling through the first two stages of grief almost instantly.
At first, shock and denial. It just simply had not happened. They had been together last night, a night Aria could barely remember filled with booze, drugs, and the general revelling of two girls who could do and be anything they wanted. It was sad, wasn’t it? That she couldn’t remember the last night they’d spent together. They’d left each other at some point in the night though, and next thing she knew it, her best friend in the world was dead, lying in some cold morgue on a slab, the light in her eyes gone.
It couldn’t all be gone, that was the thing. Elizabeth’s eyes, so full of life and love, cosmic wonders in themselves couldn’t be flat and dull. Her lips, soft and pink, curving gently over fond smiles and boisterous laughter couldn’t be cold. To never see the indescribable face Elizabeth made when she took a shot, to never laugh until they were wheezing, to never touch her lips again, it was unthinkable, unlivable. A stupid, scary lie that wasn’t about to fool her.
And though the pain was immediate, the guilt came later, stage two. They had been together, they had been together, until they hadn’t. She could have saved Elizabeth, god knew Elizabeth saved Aria everyday. It didn’t take long for Aria to convince her it was her fault. They were best friends and more, they were supposed to protect each other, know each other’s limits, and have those bad gut feelings before things went wrong. But quickly, as the police reports and gossip starting spreading, those feelings started to pale in comparison to another: anger.
Emotion was something of a new thing for Aria, introduced to her by the girl she’d love to her death. This emotion in particular had been one of the strongest she’d ever experienced. “Seeing red” was a phrase she finally understood, and a fire started to burn, and burn, turning the ice queen into something much darker, someone whose disconnected from the world was finally going to come in handy. See, when she cut down the person or people that had made this happen, she wouldn’t even blink an eye, or feel a thing. It was what made her dangerous.
And so, the person that had made Aria lighter, better, was finally bringing her down deeper into the world she had built around herself, a world where nothing mattered easily turning into a place where nothing mattered but revenge. The world had taken the one thing she cared about, and that was unforgivable.

We could all use laughter as well as beauty, joy, another reality. Recently, musicals have become my big escape, because they are s'wonderful, filled with heart and body stuff, toe-beating rhythms, witty words and syncopated movements. The stories invariably turn on couples (or matchmakers) and play like parades: Guy and gal meet, they dance, sing, kiss, argue. Then they dance again beautifully, because the weather is always nice in the musical even when it rages outside. Here are five of the 1930s, the decade when movies went from talking everything to singing and dancing.1931"The smiling lieutenant"Best known for exquisite romantic comedies, Ernst Lubitsch also contributed to the development of the musical as a genre. "The smiling lieutenant" follows Niki (Maurice Chevalier), a lively Viennese officer. One night in an outdoor cafe (where else?), He meets Franzi (Claudette Colbert), a violinist, and they coo soon for breakfast. "You put kisses in the cafe," he sings. There aren't a lot of songs and almost no dancing, but it's funny, sexy and really charming. During a waltz, Franzi asks Niki if the other woman in his life, Princess Anna (Miriam Hopkins), is a blonde or a brunette. He says he doesn't know and Franzi laughs, as she now realizes that Niki hasn't seen Anna in the buff. The moment is naughty in a film steeped in adult knowledge and melancholy nostalgia. The smartest and liveliest song is "Jazz Up Your Lingerie ”, which Franzi and Anna perform together. After slapping and tears, the socialite Franzi suggests to Anna to give up her puffy panties for something more flirtatious. Women are rivals, but playing a piano trills on lace and melodies - and all that is incomprehensible - they form a sad brotherhood which is as convincing on the emotional level as doubtful on the narrative level. The film does not end as you wish. "A poignant sadness permeates the director's most gay moments," observed Andrew Sarris - but it's Lubitsch, whose touch, "is that counterpoint between sadness and cheerfulness."Available for streaming on Flix Fling."You go there as a youngster, but you have to come back as a star!" Marsh (Warner Baxter), the director of the musical "42nd Street" behind the scenes, talks with Peggy (Ruby Keeler), the hoof singer and untested singer who suddenly became the head of his splashy show. She must be a success, insists Marsh, because there are so many - "200 people, 200 jobs" - at stake. She must be a star because it's the midst of depression, and the film's audience could also use a break, as well as a reason to smile.Keeler is a period curiosity, with a young girl's voice and small feet which hammer the ground. The biggest draw here, however, is Busby Berkeley, the dance director and creator of sui generis shows. It was Berkeley's first film at Warner Bros., and he was already waving his bizarre flag, as evidenced by the number built around the song "Young and Healthy". "If I could hate yuh, I would stay away," sings Dick Powell to a guy Jean Harlow with a fox stolen from his breasts. "But it's not my nature / I'm full of vitamin A."It's funny and incredibly catchy and you don't really have time to think about what it means, because suddenly this Harlow lookalike is part of a cavalcade of peroxide blondes who start to slide past Powell on a platform rotating shape. (The third to pass is Pre-Astaire Ginger Rogers.) Powell sings to each chorine with affable leers, arms clasped and a tug suggestive of his bow tie. Then he and his smiling partner kiss, and the camera comes closer, as if to get into action. When they open their lips, the screen explodes in an orgiastic boon from Berkeley with dozens of dancers forming geometric patterns on a brilliant black scene. It is insane and insane surrealism.Available for rental or purchase on Amazon, FandangoNow, Flix Fling, iTunes, Vudu and YouTube.1935'Top hat'The setting is a ridiculously absurd Italian hotel - a perfect depression era fantasy - with a sound stage channel and toff-like extras. Here, Jerry (Fred Astaire), a dancer, chased Dale (Ginger Rogers), a model. She thinks he is married, which he does not know, mistaking the stratagem of Astaire and Rogers, but she is as attracted to him as to her. There was a stupid drama, and now, after a lot of jokes and a few fabulous numbers, Dale appears in a dress trimmed with ostrich feathers and Jerry appears in tie and white tails. He invites her to dance, but she is reluctant, expressing the push-pull that characterizes the Astaire-Rogers romance here and in other films. She gives in and they start dancing. "All I know is that," says Jerry, who begins to sing, "Heaven ... I'm in heaven." The transition from conversation to song is satiny and heralds the moment that takes the scene from familiar fiction (where the characters are almost deadly) to the magical kingdom of musical comedy (where they are Astaire & Rogers). Finally, there is a section that begins the second half of the number, an orchestrated passage in long (and wide) plan which shows you the bodies of Dale and Jerry, from head to toe. The whole is hypnotically beautiful, an expression of desire conveyed by a harmonious flow. Finally, the dance ends and the lovers - because now we know they are in love - take a break. Rogers was still panting so softly, and his breathing gave the note a note of erotic grace. Katharine Hepburn said that Astaire had given Rogers lessons and that Rogers had given him sex, but it was their dancing together that caused the heat.Available for rental or purchase on Amazon, FandangoNow iTunes, Vudu and YouTube.1935"The little colonel"During the second half of the 1930s, Shirley Temple caused a sensation at the box office, a fact that was both understandable and confusing. It was a great professional pie, but while some of his films are fun and some are better than most, others can make you gag because of their molasses and grimacing representations. Despite my qualms, there is a very good reason to watch "The Little Colonel", and his name is Bill Robinson. He was one of the most famous dancers of the early 20th century; when he died in 1948, 32,000 mourners paid homage. Nicknamed Bojangles, he left vaudeville and made his screen debut in "Dixiana" (1930), performing a dance that was cut off when the film starred in the South. Fox soon tapped him to appear with Temple in "The Little Colonel," a disturbing post-bellum fantasy about a relentlessly optimistic tot, Lloyd, who is a peacemaker for his grandfather in the far south. and his mother, who married a northern resident. It’s a rich tangle of contradictions, in part because of Lloyd’s foolproof role as an intermediary between the black and white worlds. The relationship with his grandfather's servant, Walker (Robinson), is crucial. They perform two dances together, the most important on the plantation staircase symbolically transported (shades of “Gone with the wind”!). Walker teaches Lloyd how to dance the stairs, with him in mind or, as a film historian Donald Bogle said, "Robinson became the master of their relationship when he taught him the stair dance routines."Available for rental or purchase on Amazon, iTunes, Vudu and YouTube.1938"The Duke is at the top"In 1936 Fox hired Ralph Cooper will choreograph another vehicle from the Temple. Cooper founded Amateur Night at the Apollo, where he worked when studio executives persuaded him to go to Hollywood. Fox signed it but didn't know what to do with it. Hollywood, as Cooper later wrote in a memoir, "was not really interested in a prominent black man." So he enrolled in Fox film school. "I decided that instead of appearing in photos that demeaned black people, I would try make images that glorified black people. That's exactly what he did, creating hits like “The Duke Is Tops,” a fun and creaky musical backstage with an all-black cast that was shot in 10 days on a tightrope. Cooper trapped Lena Horne to embody Ethel, a singer, and the love interest of her character, Duke, a theater manager. When Ethel is drawn to celebrity promises, Duke bombs show business and begins to peddle a universal elixir for a designer. It's easy to understand why Fox signed Cooper, nicknamed the "Dark Gable": it's all charisma. It was Horne's debut on the screen and her line readings are steep, but she was born to be worshiped by a camera, and her song is dreamy. The music was arranged by Phil Moore, who worked in large studios ("Dumbo" of Disney), often without credit. He gets his due in "The Duke Is Tops", which includes brief tantalizing tricks from other notables, like Willie Covan, for years, MGM's chief instructor, and singer-dancer Marie Bryant, who went from the Cotton Club in Hollywood, where she worked for Gene Kelly and helped teach white stars how to move like immortals.Available to broadcast on Amazon. https://oltnews.com/escape-with-me-to-the-trippy-world-of-1930s-musicals?_unique_id=5ea14c11cf7bd

We Discover the Best Key Words to Rank Your Site with Cheap SEO Package Plans
This section will take you through the keyword selection procedure. Specifically, we'll go into detail about finding key words to rank for in a highly competitive sector.
Searching for our Affordable SEO Packages Plans and services where it is possible to rank your website on the first page of google. We also offer a trial service before beginning.
What are Long Tail Keywords?
Long-tail key words are the key to climbing to the top of Google searches for cutthroat markets that are highly saturated.  They differ from regular key phrases in their length and specificity.
A normal keyword could be"graphic designer." Based on where you are, the expense of an AdWord for this particular term might be quite hefty. Ranking organically for this term would be an uphill battle.
The strategy we'll get into will finally position one to rank high organically for that brief, competitive keyword.
But it starts with ranking for long tail keywords first.
A very long tail key word isn't any very long phrase or question someone would type into Google that would result in a product or service.
Here are some examples for long tail key words stemming from the regular key word"graphic designer":
?"how do I choose a graphic designer"
?"how much do graphic designers bill"
?"finding a good graphic designer"
?"graphic designer logo examples"
As you can see, long-tail keywords include whole, or partial, phrases or questions related to the businesses or services that you want to entice customers for.
In our era of advertising, paying for ads that say,"Hey, I'm the best bankruptcy attorney in New York. Hire me! Look how good I am! I went to Harvard," doesn't cut it anymore.
Google Answer Box
Among the most prosperous features Google has started using in search results is called the Google Answer Box or Rich Snippets. The majority of the questions that activate an answer box reply follow a"how" or"what" sentence structure, which creates a long-tail key word.
The idea behind the concept is to provide a user with a fast and accurate answer to a question without them having to read an entire article. And it's working beautifully for Google, as click-through rates have increased more than 30% when results show up in the answer box.
Listed below are a few examples of the answer box in action:
Most people's search questions have become more and more particular, which is why it is imperative to implement a long tail keyword strategy.
Voice Hunt
Why are search questions becoming longer and more specific?
Voice hunt, the primary culprit, is on the upswing. It's estimated that 40% of adults conduct a minumum of one voice search every day.
If people perform a voice search, they tend to use more natural language, resulting in longer queries. (Hence the importance of long-tail keywords, yet again.)
The days of searching for"clarified butter" or"raised backyard" are waning fast.  They're being replaced by"the way to describe butter" and"how to produce a raised garden bed." This tendency is directing how Google's AI and machine learning technology ranks search results.
It is aimed toward helping users find more contextualized searches instead of exact keyword matches.
In an online marketplace, it's easy to rank for easy keywords such as"paintball field Tampa," which was the very first website I ever rated on the top of Google's initial page. There are just a couple of paintball fields in Tampa, so getting on the initial page was comparatively straightforward.
Sticking to this keyword research process I will teach you in this segment will prop your website at the very top part of Google in virtually no time.
Saturated Markets
In a saturated or highly competitive market like"bankruptcy lawyer New York," you'd use this same precise keyword research process, except it will need more creativity in the selection of your keywords.
For exceptionally competitive niches, you may implement a long tail keyword selection strategy. Let's jump in and learn why You Have to adhere to the extended tail keyword research plan:
People are turning to the world wide web to answer as many questions as possible before they even think about hiring an expert. This applies to most product and services purchases.
Once individuals have spat out the information that they seek, then they're going to begin searching for someone to hire or something to buy.
If you rank on the first page of Google for every possible question they have about bankruptcy in New York, that would you think they will want to hire or buy from:
The guy/gal using a $300 AdWord distance near the top of the first page of Google that says"Look at me!  I'm a bankruptcy lawyer! Hire me today!"
Or the guy/gal that gave them a ton of free precious content that answered every single question they posed?
Also, once you start rank for a lot of long tail keywords for your business, as a byproduct, you will automatically begin ranking for the brief, aggressive search phrases, like"bankruptcy lawyer" and"graphic designer" if you follow these steps.
The best thing about standing organically in Google is that it's free.
It won't cost you $300 per click.
Another interesting reality is individuals that typically scour the internet for answers before hiring or buying something are inclined to be high quality clientele which are going to be loyal to you - provided your product or service is high-quality.
Make sure you are good at what you do.
The greatest, greatest collection of articles that answer every possible question regarding your service or product can not outweigh a barrage of negative Google, Facebook, Yelp, and social networking evaluations for not delivering as promised.
This publication will go ahead and assume you're good at what you are doing and care for your customers. Onward!
How to Locate Long Tail Keywords:
Step 1: You need to make a list of all questions or phrases that come to mind that have to do with your business or service.
I strongly advise you to use Google Sheets, which resembles a cloud version of Excel, to make your idea storm.
Step 2: In a separate browser tab or window, open up a Google search window. Place your cursor in the search bar and start typing all questions pertinent to your business that come into your mind.
Watch carefully as Google automatically tries to pre-fill the search bar using a forecast of what you're typing.
Everything Google is trying to pre-fill and predict while you kind are frequently hunted long tail key words you want to document on your thought storm.
Step 3: Once you find a related question or phrase, sort it out in the first column and row at the Google Sheet. List each separate question or phrase at its own row under the first column like this:
Keyword Search Term
What kind of bankruptcy should file
What Type of bankruptcies are there
Pro Tip: Type as slowly as you can, character-by-character, which means you don't overlook some of the valuable search phrases Google is serving to you on a silver platter.
Step 4: Using the called search query shown previously, click the top question first.  You'll Find another valuable gift from Google that looks like that:
Guess what these are?  Yes. Yes, they're, in actuality, more often searched long-tail keywords to add to your Keyword Idea Storm.
Step 5: Add them ALL to your Keyword Idea Storm.
Step 6: Go back to the next predicted search phrase from the very first measure,"what sort of bankruptcies are there," and search for this phrase in Google.
Then, scroll to the bottom of the first page again and add those golden nuggets for your Keyword Idea Storm:
Remember to enter all the search phrases you find at the bottom of the first page of Google to the main search bar to discover more common search phrases at the base.
Keep typing in thoughts for questions and phrases relevant to your business in the main Google search bar and looking for predictively-filled search terms.
Measure 8: When you thought it was over, there's one more place you may find certain words regarding the key word for your article. These types of words are known as LSI keywords.
LSI stands for"Latent Semantic Indexing" keywords, which is only a fancy term for key words associated with a certain topic. So instead of keyword matching, Google is much more interested in subject matching.
An LSI keyword for the video game Halo would be Xbox. Though the words are totally different, Halo is a video game that's played on the Xbox video game console, as well as computers. So you can see the contextual relationship between these.
LSI key words should be used in context with your subject matter.  The importance of utilizing LSI keywords is growing more prudent as the inherent artificial intelligence continues to consider search questions in a contextual way, versus specific phrase matching.
To quickly find LSI key words for your articles, use this handy tool from LSI Graph to run a query: https://lsigraph.com/
By the conclusion of this Keyword Idea Storm procedure, you should have a high number of lengthy tail keyword search terms to operate with.
Depending on your niche or market, you will have 10-20 gems, or up of 50+. Get creative and try to consider your products or services in numerous dimensions from multiple angles.

Ralph Breaks the Internet is a picaresque, a joyous romp through the backwaters of the internet that nevertheless packs a powerful punch. At first blush, I’d say it falls just short of its predecessor, 2012’s wonderful Wreck-It Ralph, but maybe I need to see it five more times before saying anything so bold.
And when I say it’s a “picaresque,” I mean it. Like the novels that bear this genre label, it’s an episodic journey through an unfamiliar place, following a merry band of travelers as they visit various corners of said unfamiliar place.
At first, the adventures of ’80s video game villain Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly) and ’00s racer game heroine Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) seem largely disconnected or plot-driven. But little by little, the voyage reveals itself to be plucking at unexamined emotional bonds between the two.
Perhaps the best-known American novel to fall under the definition of “picaresque” is The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, a veritable buffet of tropes from all sorts of genres in which Huck and his friend, the escaped slave Jim, float down the Mississippi. As they get deeper and deeper into the South, Jim faces more and more danger, and the humor slowly drains from the book. As the threat to Jim’s life increases, the story becomes about Huck having a moral reckoning with the institution of slavery he’s grown up alongside.
That is … not what Ralph Breaks the Internet is about, but it’s rather remarkable how closely it follows the same structure, as Ralph and Vanellope plumb the depths of the internet in search of a way to purchase a piece of hardware they need to fix her game back at the arcade where they both live.
They riff on eBay and social media and the dark web, and though the movie is crawling with brand names — whether the sight of a giant tower marked “Google” will fill you with delight or dread is open for debate — it’s much more interested in the internet as a place that binds us together than as any specific series of corporate entities. But it’s also interested in how the internet might bind us together too tightly.
Here are three things Ralph Breaks the Internet gets really right about the internet you’re reading these words on right now. (Alas, Vox does not make a cameo in the film.)
Ralph and Vanellope look out upon the wonders of the internet. Disney
For all its weird adoration of brand names, the first scene where Ralph and Vanellope find themselves online is a visual marvel that captures a feeling I haven’t experienced in 20-ish years: the way it feels to hop online for the very first time.
The two step out of their little wifi portal onto a platform overlooking a vast city, darting with traffic. Little Twitter birds pass along JPGs of Grumpy Cat. Amazon and Google tower over the landscape, but there are plenty of other areas to explore too. It’s at once Times Square reimagined in a digital space and a portal to a wider world. Ralph and Vanellope head down into the throngs to find their way to eBay, and the adventure is afoot.
Later, Vanellope muses that the internet seems disconnected from the day/night cycle of the real world; when you’re online, it feels like the sun is always up. And given that the movie is organized around a pretty strict time limit — after winning her replacement part in an eBay auction, Ralph and Vanellope have 24 hours to cough up the money to pay for it — this “always on” quality makes it a bit difficult to keep track of the story. But Vanellope is right, in the sense that Ralph Breaks the Internet captures that weird, buzzy feeling that comes from being online too long, from feeling like there are a million possibilities ahead and you haven’t even come close to exhausting them.
In some ways, this makes the movie’s inability to imagine the online space in a way that goes beyond a very direct representation of it a little disappointing. Yes, that big, bold city is a lot of fun to look at, but its architecture (which is built atop the very real electronic architecture that houses the internet) never quite conveys the wild, “anything can happen” sense of the internet at its best.
And even if the sequence when Vanellope meets all the Disney princesses (which has been heavily teased for months now) is mostly a lot of fun, the corporate synergy turned my stomach just a bit.
If you place all these gags in the context of Ralph Breaks the Internet co-director Rich Moore’s career, however, they make sense. Moore got his big break taking the piss out of pop culture on The Simpsons and Futurama, and the Wreck-It Ralph movies are among the few big-screen films to manage the same joke-a-minute, satirical snap of those TV shows.
The satire’s a little milder here — Disney’s not going to let him truly mock the princesses — but it’s easier to take the jokes about popular brands when Moore’s the one at the helm. He knows just how to lean into the unhinged nature of the web and speed through them fast enough to keep you from feeling too queasy.
Ralph and Vanellope meet a new friend named Shank. Disney
The script for Ralph Breaks the Internet (by co-director Phil Johnston and Pamela Ribon) was written years ago, which makes it a poor fit for, say, critiquing our current, slightly terrifying online world. But even if it were more up-to-the minute, it’s not as though Ralph and Vanellope would blunder down a dark alley and meet a bunch of 4chan Nazis or anything like that.
And the movie does capture the bleaker side of the web all the same, whether that simply involves Ralph seeing a bunch of comments making fun of him or going to visit the dark web, which promises all manner of salacious items for purchase, right down to a creepy, snake-like virus that looks a little like one of the robot squid critters from The Matrix.
Ralph Breaks the Internet doesn’t want to solely portray the internet as a scary place, but I was a little surprised by how dark the movie was willing to go, especially as it entered a third act that isn’t shy about poking at its heroes’ insecurities.
Ralph and Vanellope meet a lot of fun new characters online — including Gal Gadot as Shank, who occupies an online racing game that catches Vanellope’s eye, and Disney regular Alan Tudyk as an old-fashioned search engine named Knowsmore. But it’s easy to see why Ralph keeps trying to turn back toward the arcade, where life is safe and predictable. To paraphrase Linus from A Charlie Brown Christmas, the internet hasn’t only gotten too commercial; it’s gotten too dangerous.
This marks Ralph Breaks the Internet as belonging to a specific subgenre of the picaresque, one that harks to old Hollywood — the story of two small-town kids who set out for the big city and find their friendship tried by what they encounter there. And it’s in that version of itself that Ralph Breaks the Internet ultimately packs its biggest emotional punch.
How is Vanellope not an official Disney princess? Disney
It’s really hard to talk about what ends up linking Ralph Breaks the Internet’s many loose ends in a third act that feels as bold and smart a story about what it means to live online as any we’ve ever come up with, because to do so is to spoil some of the story’s biggest twists. Suffice to say that if you’re at all familiar with the “two friends go to the big city” format, you’ll know that the big city will seek to divide them. And seeing Ralph and Vanellope realize they’re becoming very different people is legitimately heartbreaking.
But it’s everything that follows from that moment that pushes the movie to another level entirely, one that left me a little gobsmacked. Because ultimately, Ralph Breaks the Internet becomes a story about how entirely well-meaning guys can become toxic to their female friends, as well as a story about how hard it can be to realize that even the best of friends might have to take divergent paths to remain happy.
And the film realizes these themes on just about every level. Its script crackles with references to online toxicity (up to and including a pointed mention of a character who wants to “ride in on a white horse” — a nod to the idea of “white knighting,” when a “nice guy” tries, too aggressively, to come to the aid of a woman online). Its images depict how it feels to have all your vulnerabilities exposed for the world to see. And its themes connect in a way that will make sense to just about any viewer, young or old.
Ralph Breaks the Internet, like all good picaresques, meanders a bit during its journey, stopping to take several little detours that aren’t strictly necessary. Most of these detours are fresh and funny; a few tried my patience. But they’re crucial to what ends up being the film’s ultimate emotional effect. Ralph Breaks the Internet is a movie about how easy it is to forget that the internet is made up of people, sometimes even people you love, because it flatters you and batters you and deflates your ego, until you forget about anybody who’s not yourself.
Ralph Breaks the Internet is playing in theaters everywhere.

INTERVIEW: BLUE MEAN EYES
To celebrate the release of their ace debut EP, Through The Mill, B-Side’s Seymour Quigley caught up with Lauren Bradford and Toby Powell of Bury St Edmunds-based alt-rock four piece Blue Mean Eyes, shortly before teatime.
B-SIDE: Hello, Lauren.  Hello, Toby.  How are you this fine afternoon?
LAUREN (vocals, bass): I’m very good thank you, keeping busy, yourself?
TOBY (guitar): I’m very well thank you, had a busy one playing around with some new ideas, how're you doing?
B-SIDE: I’m very well too.  In fact, I've just got back from Peppa Pig World.  Have you ever been?  If you're looking for a place to have the best band photoshoot ever, I highly recommend it.
TOBY: Peppa Pig World? Where has this safe haven been hiding all this time? I've never been, but we'll definitely think about chasing that up. Also to get Peppa Pig Merch.
LAUREN: Definitely have to give it a visit, totally just for the photoshoot though...
B-SIDE: At risk of drifting into unwarranted hyperbole, you really can't beat it.  Grandpa Pig's Boat Ride is the very definition of ridin' dirty.
TOBY: If Grandpa Pig was here he'd be thrilled.  Tickets will be being purchased soon, trust me!
B-SIDE: Grandpa Pig is ALWAYS watching.  Now, as you're probably aware, you've got a new EP out.  For a band who've been gigging for less than a year, it sounds very assured.  How quickly did things fall into place when you started playing together?
TOBY: Yeah, super duper excited about the idea of that! Just the fact we have an EP is craziness to me. Things fells into place for us very slowly but surely, piece by piece. We started out as just a couple mates - me, Ben (Saunders, guitar) and Ell (Rodger Brown, drums) jamming out some tunes that we thought could've worked. Then Lauren came along and things skyrocketed almost instantly and before we knew it, we had a few songs which we were happy with.
B-SIDE: It does feel as though each time I see you play you get tighter and stronger, like magical sock elastic.  Was there ever a grand master plan, any particular artists you really aspired to be like?  Or was it just a case of getting in a room together and seeing what happened?
TOBY: It's really a weird and wonderful combination of all of our accumulated tastes: Ben is a lover of all things indie, soft sounds and ambience - Mac Demarco, Whitest Boy Alive, Oasis and Liam Gallagher; Elliott pretty much loves absolutely every genre of music under the sun, I have honestly never seen someone so loving and appreciative of all kinds of music in my life. I'm am a MASSIVE ÜBER SUPERFAN of Biffy Clyro - heavy distorted guitars, stabs, ledge-cutting guitar riffs - and the three things just combine in an almost seamless intertwining of all of our influences combined.
LAUREN: Yeah, I think we all have our own individual inspirations. I personally listen to a lot of female fronted bands, mainly an Australian band called Tonight Alive for inspiration in melodies and lyrics
B-SIDE: So with all these influences, how do the songs come about?  Is there a main songwriter or do you take a collaborative approach?
TOBY: The way we approach writing songs has evolved since we first formed. In the beginning, we each came up with our own ideas and brought them to rehearsals to run by the others and come up with different parts etc, but now we tend to get together with just the instruments, no vocals, and record everything structurally as it would be with lyrics. From that point the writing of the lyrics and coming up with melodies is down to Lauren, for which she seems to come up with almost instantly, which is brilliant. It's a very strange way of doing it, but it's a way which has always suited us and worked out!
B-SIDE: There seem to be a recurring theme in the lyrics across the EP, with a lot of allusions to the restlessness borne of frustration that a lot of people feel growing up in places like East Anglia; although, perhaps oddly, very few lyrics by local artists really touch on it, certainly not quite so affectingly.  Lauren, do you ever consciously approach specific themes in your lyrics, or is it an unconscious process for you?
LAUREN: Yeah, I guess I do (approach themes consciously). Most of the earlier songs were written by both me and Toby together, and with those we just sort of came up with a title and tried to tell a story with that, and it just turned out being about random stuff! The ones I write myself now, just spout from whatever emotion I'm feeling at the time, so for instance I'll jot down what's making me angry or frustrated, and then turn it into a poem type thing and then fit it into a melody. With the new songs me and Toby are working on at the moment, I'm taking a lot of inspiration from what's happening on TV around the world, just to try something different and see what kind of an impact it has on our audience.
B-SIDE: There are a couple of fascinating titles on the EP, which pose important questions. Firstly, what is the Brixton Shrug?  I've googled it and found no results, so I presume it's something you made up.  I won't lie, I'm desperately hoping it's the long-overdue British answer to the Harlem Shuffle.
TOBY: Brixton Shrug I suppose is more of a metaphor for guys and gals that like to party, have fun, shrugging off the negative aspects of whatever's going on in everyone's lives and just enjoying the moment, like a “shrug” to life itself. The actual way it came about however is totally different: Elliott was wearing a 'Brixton' clothing brand, and I said to Ben “Ben mate, we still need a song name,” and he just shrugged. The Brixton Shrug was then born, in that simple moment - maybe there's a dance move in it somewhere, we'll have an experiment and surprise you.
B-SIDE: I now feel duty-bound to invent a suitable dance for the song, which I will of course be claiming as my own intellectual property so I can drown in the inevitable riches.  There's also a song called Meteor Shrimp - is that a real creature?  I've trawled the lyrics for coded warnings about an unseen extra-terrestrial aquatic threat to mankind, but if they're there, I've missed them.
TOBY: Meteor Shrimp is actually a ghastly deep sea monster ready to emerge at any given point in a fantastic sequel remake of Godzilla 2 featuring Ben Brown from SuperGlu as the Shrimp... this is the whole truth, I promise.  Meteor Shrimp was actually a name devised from a weird combination of words which we'd never heard before, because we really wanted it to stick in people's heads. The song itself is about someone who is meticulously lazy and always putting off tasks which have to be done to move up the industry ladder. It's a listen-and-learn kind of song, up for people's individual interpretations!
B-SIDE: Thanks for clearing that up, although of course now we're now duty bound have to make the "Ben Brown from SuperGlu as planet-saving Shrimp" movie happen, because that would ACTUALLY BE AMAZING.  Finally, what's next for Blue Mean Eyes?  Do you have any gigs, future releases or miscellaneous announcements you'd like to share?
LAUREN: Well, this debut EP is now up on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Deezer and Groove Music for everyone to listen to on the go on their cellular devices. Our next gig as the original Blue Mean Eyes four-piece (following the recent departure of bassist Harvey Baldwin) with Ben on guitar, Toby on guitar and vocals, Ell banging the ol’ drums, and myself on bass and vocals, will be at the Washing Machine event on the 16th of September in support of A Horse Called War, which we are all very much looking forward to. We are also writing a bunch of new material to be recorded and shared with you on our first full-length album to be released within the early months of 2018. Hopefully from listening to the EP it will give you an idea as to what we are setting out to achieve as band with our music.
TOBY: My goal for the foreseeable future is raising enough money to make a film directed by Steven Spielberg casting only Ben Brown from SuperGlu as all of the main characters and extras... please donate generously at www.BenToBecomeTheShrimpVSGodzilla.com  And Ben, if you happen to be reading this, it WILL happen. The time. Is. Coming.

My Weird Writing Journey, Thus Far
Tumblr media
The life of a writer can be pretty glamorous. Authors can go on book tours around the world, hang out on The Today Show, and go to world movie premiers of their novels turned to film … and then there's me. At thirty-years-old, I've been in the game for around ten years, and I have no publishing credits to show for my efforts except a few flash fiction pieces. I've been promised contracts and commercial success more times than I can count, and I've had enough strikeouts and rejection letters to crush any man with at least an average helping of common sense. But here I am, a writer light-years ahead of who I once was and further still from the writer I desire to become. And again I stand on the brink of an opportunity, looking out at all that could come of this new stage in my journey. But to understand what's at stake, you should know where I started.
The first thing I should say is that I never wanted to be a writer. I never wanted it because I never knew about it. I inherited a passion for reading and a gift for art from my mother, and my father bestowed upon me a love for all things weird—science fiction, fantasy, and Stargate SG-1. But my brothers loved sports and trucks and other wholesome, manly things, so I figured I should love those things too. And despite winning first place in a school-wide creative writing contest in the third grade, I spent the rest of my adolescence riding bikes, playing baseball, and getting lost in the woods. In high school, sports were again a center focus, but there was something creeping up from underneath—something a little … weird.
I then went off to college for Physical Therapy, so most of my undergraduate studies were in the sciences, except for a few required philosophy and writing-intensive English classes. But slowly, in the quiet areas spent in my room, hiding from my housemate (a Russian, Jewish, elitist, pothead … not that there's anything wrong with that), that weird thing surfaced. That need to express myself. To explore words and thoughts and adventures without the limitations of reality weighing me down.
The first thing I wrote since my mermaid story in the third grade, aside from droll school projects, was a contemplative description likening my college room/cell to Plato's cave. Exciting, right? I did several of these little allegorical gems, exploring free will, racism, and other riveting subjects. But I never saw them as anything other than convenient creative outlets. And then, in my parents' basement, on Christmas Eve, 2007, it happened. The weird exploded.
Tumblr media
I was sitting on my old bed, reading the book of Revelation, as all totally normal college students do, when I stumbled across an interesting passage about the 144,000 people who would be chosen, in some capacity, during the second coming of Jesus Christ. "Huh," I thought. "144,000 people, saved from a dying world. What if they just, like, went to some other planet that God created for them … that would make a pretty cool book."
And BAM. It was like my mutant gene finally activated—that spark of consuming fire that us lucky few experience when we know our purpose in life has finally been revealed. And I'm not being dramatic here. I flopped back on my bed, awestruck at the path unfolding before me, wondering how I had not thought of it before. I was going to write a book! And of course the book would become a best seller and I'd be uber-rich and famous.
So I set out immediately writing this story that God had pre-ordained to change the world. In the spare moments of my degree work, I plotted and outlined. As I planned my wedding and prepared to start a new life in Virginia with my new bride, I built worlds and formed characters from formless lumps of clay. With the Wednesdays off afforded me in my first real job, I would sit for literally 10 hours straight, clacking away at my keyboard. And in 2010, only three years after I started, my masterpiece was created.
And then I spent the next three years realizing I had no idea what I was doing. I went to writing conferences, joined critique groups, read craft books, and they all said the same thing. "You did everything wrong." So I threw book one into a drawer and started again.
Tumblr media
Since one book proved too easy for me the first time, on the second attempt I decided to write two at the same time. The first was a young adult urban fantasy titled Night Games. In it, a high school boy fights vampires, werewolves, zombies, and his own fears of eternal damnation. The second novel was a sci-fi/fantasy adventure novel set in Antarctica, a place where magic is real, and the dying world will do anything to harness it. And since four heads are better than one, I set out to write this novel with 3 other authors. Needless to say, we're still working on it … 5 years later. And despite its awesomeness, an unfinished book generally doesn't have much chance at publication.
Thankfully, I finished Night Games in about 2 years, and it even caught the eye of a literary agent. And then I hit the big-time. I was officially represented. I had an agent. My agent. My own. My … well, my agent. Then, she pitched the novel to several publishing houses, with great feedback. But in the end, they all passed because there was, "no market for that kind of fiction in the Christian publishing industry."
Oh, yeah. Did I mention that everything I'd written so far was meant for the CBA (Christian Book Association)? And everyone failed to tell me Christians don't believe in zombies. But, when I finally realized that precious fact, my agent teamed me up with a ridiculously talented non-fiction author (Clay Morgan, check him out!) to re-write the highest-selling fiction work in the history of Christianity, A Pilgrim's Progress, and we added … wait for it … zombies.
It was brilliant. And I'm not just saying that. Probably my favorite creation so far. The ending made me cry. But, it didn't sell either. I mean, it sat at a large publisher who promised publication for about a year, then fizzled. So I threw it on the stack and searched for my next target.
Tumblr media
And then my moment finally came. My agent contacted Clay Morgan and me about a "special request" from a publisher. A quirky suspense novel without an ounce of anything weird. Naturally, I was immediately intimidated since I would have to endure the journey without a single dragon or robot, but with a publisher specifically asking for the story, I couldn't pass it up (especially with my friend Clay by my side). So we drew up an outline and some sample chapters, and they were a hit. I mean, more like a grand slam. The acquisition editor loved everything about it, and a contract was just a matter of time. And then, once again, it all fell apart. I can't get into specifics, but it was bizarre. Divine intervention barely explains it, but the point was, it fell through.
And that's when I hit my low point. I had this story idea that I loved, but I couldn't find the strength to write it. I mean, why put in so much time and effort just to lay it on the stack of unpublished works? I sought council from my agent, and from Clay, and anyone else who would listen. I begged them to read sample chapters, and give feedback, and pour sugar in my ear. But in the end, it didn't matter. The story wouldn't leave me alone. I had to write it. Whether there was a "market" for it or not, I had to get it from my head to paper.
So I did. I poured myself into it for another 2 years, creating something I could be proud of. And when I finally turned it into my agent, she ripped it apart. You see, I'd written it as a young adult novel, but apparently I was wrong. The main character turned out more like Scarlett O'Hara when I'd intended her to be closer to Jo March (from Pretty Women). And I'd focused too much on the journey and not enough on the story.
So I RE-wrote it. The whole thing. In about 3 months. And I loved it even more. And my agent loved it. And my beta-readers loved it. And then I turned in the official proposal to my agent. And then I had seven heart attacks. You see, this was the first novel I'd finished that was not an overtly Christian book. And my agent was pitching it into the Pacific Ocean of publishing. Huge Houses with intimidating track records. And all I could do was wait.
Tumblr media
And that's what I'm doing. Waiting. Again. I feel good about this one, but I felt good about the others, as well. And as I wait, I can't help reflecting on how far I've come. As I've said, I don't look much different on paper (so to speak), but the last 10 years have been a wild ride. I've met a massive network of sensationally gifted and peculiar people. I’ve become the executive editor of a wonderful literary magazine. I've navigated a world I never knew existed. And I've found fulfillment I never knew possible. Writing has been a blessing. It has shaped how I see the universe and the individuals who populate it. And most of all, it has taught me to never give up on something worth starting. It may be stubbornness. It may be delusions of grandeur. But it's definitely worth it.
And believe me, I want to scream that to the struggling people I see every day. Those guys and gals wondering if it's worth it. Whether "it" is a career, a healthy lifestyle, a friendship, a marriage, or life itself. "Don't give up!" I want to say. I know what they're going through, because I've asked every single one of those questions at one time or another, and the answer has always been yes. God gave us choice for a reason (If you don't believe me, I'm happy to send you one of my college allegories to explain it), and it's that choice that makes life worth living in the first place.
So whatever happens with my insane choice to be a writer, I'm satisfied. I've committed to something bigger than me, and I'll leave a legacy long after I'm gone, one way or another. And if this latest novel becomes an international best-seller, well that's just icing on the cake. So stay tuned. Things are about to get awesome.
