“Honey, we’re over here!” Sasha called, excitedly waving Marcia down as they exited the dressing room, bag slung over their shoulder as they searched the crowd of other partners and proud family members for Anetra and Sasha.

They spotted both of their partners, a tiny little half smile spreading across their lips, one that Sasha and Anetra immediately recognized as fake. Perhaps they were overtired, opening night always took a lot out of them, the nerves and adrenaline taking half of their energy before the show even started, especially if they had the lead role.

“Hi baby, I’m so proud of you,” Sasha cooed, holding Marcia at an arm’s length away before kissing the tip of their nose.

“Congratulations, Marc,” Anetra echoed, placing a delicate bouquet of peonies in their arms.

They smiled again, still not reaching their eyes or showing off those cute little dimples they got whenever they smiled as wide as they could. “Thank you, guys, it means a lot that you came to opening night.”

Sasha cocked her head to the side inquisitively. “Is something wrong?”

“What? No, not at all,” they lied, their voice a bit higher than usual, a tell tale sign they were fibbing.

“Don’t lie,” Anetra said, shuffling the three of them off to the side, away from those who mingled around the lobby, “your dimple usually shows when you’re actually smiling. What’s wrong?”

Lip wobbling, Marcia looked down at the floor, avoiding their gaze as they worked up the courage to tell their partners what was wrong.

“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk just yet,” Sasha said soothingly, rubbing their arm tenderly.

“How did you not notice?” Marcia sniffled, eyes still glued to the floor.

“Notice what, baby? What happened?”

“My voice cracked on the high note in the closing number, which everyone knows is like the most important number of any show! I’d been practicing for months and-and my voice- I can’t do this, I should never have gotten the lead; I should just give the role to my understudy.”

“Oh Marc- you did amazing, I’m sure no one even notice your voice faulter at all. I know I didn’t.”

“I didn’t either,” Anetra assured her, “but if I’m being honest, I was distracted by how pretty you looked on stage.”

Marcia tried to stop it, but Anetra’s casual flirting made them crack a smile, a real one that met their eyes and showed their dimples.

“There it is,” Sasha cooed, “there’s that smile. We promise you that you did amazing. You were absolutely perfect, getting the lead was very well deserved, love.”

“I wouldn’t have given it to anyone else,” Anetra reiterated with a wink.

“I guess,” they shrugged, “I did do a pretty good job of continuing after I messed up, the most important thing is to keep going.”

“That’s right,” Sasha agreed, smoothing down their ponytail, “I tell my dance students that all the time. Now how about we go home and relax, hmm? Maybe order some takeout and watch a movie?”

Marcia’s eyes lit up. “Can we watch the wizard of oz? Please?!”

“Of course, love,” Sasha said, kissing their forehead, beginning to lead the others out to the parking lot.

“I’m only not complaining about your movie choice because you were upset, by the way,” Anetra joked, taking Marcia’s other hand, “I’m almost positive you can quote the entire thing by now.”

“Hey, I never complain when you want to watch all the Jurassic Park movies in one day.”

Anetra rolled her eyes affectionately, leaning down slightly and kissing their cheek. “Touché.”

Hiya Lethie! No we haven't made that consideration. Hmmm…well if we're thinkingcanonically here, I can't really see it becoming a possibility since if AuntiePine had silver eyes, wouldn’t have Oscar acknowledged that Ruby shared thesame eye colour as one of his closest family members and brought it up at some point?

Especially after witnessing what silvereyes can actually do with Ruby doing her best to use her powers to fend off theLeviathan Grimm from attacking Argus.

So yeah, in terms of canon, I can’t seeit being a thing. I more like the idea of Oscar’s aunt sharing hazel eyes justlike her nephew. Perhaps the Pines could be like the Weasleys from the Harry Potterseries---you can automatically tell them apart from other families around theAnima countryside due to noticeable characteristics shared by all members ofthe family. Like for example, similar to how the Weasleys were all known fortheir red hair, perhaps back inAnima, the Pine Family were known for their toweringheight (like the very trees they share their familyname with), tanned or dark skin, dark soft hair,  hazel eyes and most noticeable of all, their freckles. It’d be pretty cute if Oscar’saunt was just as freckly as he was; probably even more so. That could’ve beennice little detail to add to Oscar’s family bloodline. But that’s just athought.

On the flipside to this idea of yours,it could make for an interesting AU concept. Imagine if…in an alternate story, instead of Maria Calavera, Oscar’sAunt filled that role. Like picture Oscar’s Aunt---Aunt Em, as I’ll dub her---actually his great-aunt who, in her youth, was formerly a Silver Eyed Warrior until shegave up the lifestyle after losing her eye sight to hunters much like Mariadid.

Following that incident, Auntie Pinefound love and a new life when she married a farmer named Henry. While Em andHenry never conceived any children of their own, they did raise Henry’s nieceas if she were their own child and ultimately they raised her son--- Oscar---tooafter his mother passed away and left him in Em and Henry’s custody.

You could have a story where instead ofOscar meeting everyone in Mistral, imagineif…on their way to Mistral, RNJRhappened to seek refuge on the Pine Family farm.

Imagine if…it took place followingtheir encounter with Tyrian Callows and Qrow was poisoned and in desperate needof care. Picture Oscar finding RNJR and Qrow and taking them to see his auntfor help. Picture while staying with the Pines, Auntie Pine realized that Rubywas a Silver Eyed Warrior and decides to train her a bit on how to control herabilities after she’d asked.

Imagine if…instead of Oz beingreincarnated inside of Oscar and being a voice in his head, it’s a scenariowhere Oscar is revealed as Ozpin’s successor via the magic of the Long Memory.Like let’s say, instead of following RNJR around, Qrow’s mission following Oz’sdeath was to find the next Wizard in the cycle and the way to discovering theiridentity was via the Long Memory since the cane has a special magical attachment to Ozma that’s been passed down to each of his descendants in thecycle.

Naturally, Oscar is revealed by theLong Memory to be Oz’s successor and thus leaves for Mistral with RNJR and Qrowonly this time, his aunt is actually shown to have seen him off contrasted withwhat we got in the canon story.

That could’ve been a cool alternative.Then again, these are only my views and ideas.
