Im re working an old magical girl AU I had form when I was into the DSMP, I’m re writing it for the life series (like general idea is the same, but just trying to make it fit the new people)

Today I offer you Evo character designs, and concept art I’ve done so far for this re work.

I enjoy the magical girl genere a lot, it’s been with se since I was a child so I’m really enjoying putting the blorbos in this.

This AU is mostly inspired on Madoka Magica and Yuna Yukki, since I do want it to be darker, but it also borrows a lot form my own OCS that are magical girls lol

They’re inspired on a fairytale aesthetic cause I say so

i have many magical girl aus in progress so ykw??? lore dump!! bc i wanna post my magical girl aus!!

because i have so many, i decided to plop the same rules onto all of them bc there is no way i am making separate aus for all of them lol.

lore under the cut!!

• magical girls all have a special item to transform with that is unique to them. these items not only serve as a container for power, but a container for memories as well. if you somehow get amnesia from an outside force, then you have a backup plan! if the item is destroyed, however, all memories of being a magical girl will be erased.

• items and transformations can be swapped!! the new user can see the previous user's memories, as well as use their powers with some difficulty. a user's unique power comes as second nature, so using another person's power is a bit tricky.

• powers can also be combined, but it almost never ends well, as it causes,, almost like an energy overload? it's hard to exactly describe. but two powers are just too much for one person to safely handle.

•all magical girls have a unique active ability and a unique passive ability. active is one they use in combat, passive is used unconsciously.

•of course, they also have basic abilities they all share, such as: increased agility, increased durability, and flight/weightlessness

•"magical girl" is more of a job title than anything, and is used as a gender-neutral term. however, individual magical girls can change their own individual title if they please.

•as for design, most have a vague theme and main color. the main color will appear on the tips of the hair and most of the outfit. abilities often correlate with the theming, but not always. • magical girls also gain a symbol mark on their chests as kind of proof of contract? this symbol will appear on their outfits too, and is unique to each magical girl (or group, depending on the au.) i'm thinking that these markings are only visible to other magical girls.

my first experience of magical girls was the wedding peach manga in my library when I was like 6 or 7. And then years later when I was like 13, i just decided to watch madoka magica on netflix cause cute anime girls and then i started down the whole magical girl genre pipeline and now look at me.

wanna draw patricia and andrew as magical girls...i want a magical girl essence

theyd be magical girls saving the world...a magical girl duo including memory as the lil kid who was exposed to her duty too early and is actually unfit for the job, but who still wants to help and learn through her two "mentors". I want the themes to be light and cute but i also want there to be some kind of risk to working as a magical girl, but most of all i just want them to be cute and save the world and make others happy

this may be my own bias but dream witch as an antagonist would work...she already has her own lil minions, but if id also like to think about gala as a villain with ithaqua theyre silly and dumb and just get in the magical girls' ways (gala is a raging homosexual who wants to kiss pa-) *GETS SHOT*
