The leather straps were cooling across your chest; just as the strap was tight across your hips. You struggled, the buckles keeping you firmly stuck to the table. The white lights quietly warming the rest of your bare exposed skin. Your obliques teasing their way to the surface as you wriggled against your restraints. Cut here scissor lines decorated across the most common places women dislike about themselves. Crescents at your side, inner thighs, cupping your breast. Two figures hovering over you, crazed hunger filled looks scanning your being.
Lee Jooheon was stood over you in pale blue scrubs beneath a pearly white lab coat littered with scruffy black writing. He was stood menacing in the wielding of a scalpel while conversing animatedly with the person next to him. Im Changkyun was dressed to the brim in a perfectly fitted black suit wielding a clipboard with a picture of a barbie on. IM was shoving his fingers to the picture and then to you. Jooheon nodding intently in agreeance, scalpel still active in the air.
“CUT!” The director called. A bell vibrating round the warehouse. Jooheon immediately tearing the Velcro under the fake buckles and rushing to reach under the table for the large white dressing gown placed discreetly under the table. The basic black lace lingerie set was the only thing covering you as you hauled yourself off the table before coating yourself in white fluff.
“You good?” Changkyun asked lightly supporting you to your feet.
“All good” you affirmed.
“That was great guys, a clear cut. Scene done in one. We’ll get the stage set up and do the combined verse and Y/N’s solo then we’ll call it a day” The director confirmed. All you heard was
Break time
The three of you b-lined straight for the snack table. The crew around you slowly setting down their equipment to follow suit. A mini swarm of black tee’d crew descended onto the set working quickly to dismantle the makeshift operating room and prepare the next set.
“Glad I can finally put some clothes on” selecting the bag of wotsits crinkling over your words.
“Never thought I’d hear you say that” Yoongi’s voice creeped in from behind. The other two chuckled into their mouthfuls of carbs. Without even eyeing him your trajectory already planned to slap his arm on your rotation round. The Acne studios hat comfy on his head, the blue grey hair pressed to his forehead. Long black sweater draped over loose wash out ripped jeans which were tucked into hi top vans.
There’s a comfy boyfriend right there
“Never thought I’d see you conscious before lunch on a day off” you quipped back.
“Alright… it’s too early for your sass” Yoongi said in defeat to your ear, his arms encasing the shield of fluff around you with the sweet extra of a kiss to the forehead. His camera gentle in sway to your hip, the leather strap resting on his shoulder.
“Loved the set though” he added
More like loved the fact I was strapped down
“I’m literally kidnapping this Dr’s coat” Jooheon flicked the collar up of the coat.
Dweeb
“It’s such a cool concept” Jooheon added
“More female artists need to be speaking out about the image pressures companies force” Changkyun piped up.
“It’s 2020 dude, guys can write about it too you know” you teased
“There’s ten times more pressure on you guys though”
He was right. Your concept was the bomb though. You and your image held hostage by the agency only for you to rebel against them all accompanied by some aggressive thought-provoking rap.
What more does a girl want?
“And we’re here doing this project with you so we technically are” Changkyun added.
Also true
“You also know I wouldn’t have you let say no” One of the runners dropped your outfit off to you. You both exchanged silent polite glances.
Mid conversation you held no reservations, untying your robe. It slid off your shoulders Yoongi saving it from the floor. You shrugged on the tight-fitting scrub top. The top conveniently had slits through the fabric. Making its function as a top dubious at best. The shorts were free from any intentional rips and were nice and basic. Yoongi’s eyes flitted briefly to the ground, gaze not sure where to settle. You were still getting used the fact he wasn’t as comfortable with your skin on show as you were. Multiple times you’d teased him at how awkward and polite he still was when you were actually his.
//
“Are you sure you just didn’t want an opportunity to tie your two favourite rappers to a chair? Beside me of course” Yoongi teased as your reflection stared back at you in the mirror, mouth agape hand delicate finishing a perfect cat flick on your eyeliner.
“Jealous?” You paused the application of your makeup while teasing, the flicks won’t be ruined for anybody. Eye contact cheekily held in place.
He leaned in just a tad, enough to make his words inaudible to the fanfare around.
“Babe, you know I wish it was me. Just at home, with less clothes. You in that set I love, ooo and the way you love to ride me like that…” You shoved him away.
“Alright alright enough, don’t tease. Go over there and behave” You indicated with your pinky finger behind the camera. Puckering your blood red lipstick equally, crew swift in moving out of your way as you stepped up onto the newly built mini stage.
A lonely microphone on the small rectangular stage was all to keep you company. The two boys looking calm, jovial in their conversation to each other as you adjusted the stand to your height. Yoongi trying to shield a half-cocked smile. You flipped him off. He always liked to tease your height.
He’s not even got much on me, cheeky shit
“Ready on set!” The director boomed. Crew obedient falling silently in a heartbeat.
“Action!”
The strongly worded verse and chorus were the first lyrics you’d scribbled down in some painful PR meeting. The topic of you and your body image and how they wanted to sell it was just slowly infuriating you. You were an Idol, rapper whatever people called you now. This shit comes with the territory but the way they guy was talking about you just ruffled about every damn feather in your being.
The bell rang again and the major scuffling on set commenced. You jumped off the stage and raced to Chloe who’d returned from taking Ted for a walk. Completely bypassing Yoongi, dropping to your knees and ruffling the ball of excited fluff.
“Hey boy” you cooed, scratching the belly after the desperate drop and roll he gave you.
“Dude he wanted to play with evvveerryyyone today”
“Well he was probably excited to hang out with auntie Chlo”
“You love him” you added
“I can’t even lie about that; can your assistant be on holiday more often?” His attention quickly became focused
“You would get me into soo much trouble if you were my assistant”
“But you’d have the best time” The pair of you laughed knowing she was absolutely right.
“I’ll catch you in a bit” Giving Ted once last squeeze before you went to makeup.
All paint removed; hair now styled to perfection. Makeup fairly natural and light, the artist dabbing a pad around your cheeks catching any moisture. Heavily ripped boyfriend jeans sat at your hips finishing just at the lower end of your calves. Pristine snug white trainers cushioned the weariness of your feet. You had to change your underwear to a white set as to not show through the thin white tie up crop top. You secured the tie at your chest, even Yoongi would have to work at undoing the knot.
“Ready?” the director popped his head round the door. You responded with a bright mumble as you were mid swig of your water bottle.
“Sweet, we rolling in three”
“Seriously, how did I land you?” Yoongi purred making his way into the office converted dressing room. The artist leaving the room promptly.
“Looks good right” You agreed, puckering your lips in the mirror.
“Mmmhhhmm” he growled low at your neck; hands secured round the front of your stomach. The warm body pressed up against you.
“I love when you dress more casual” His fingertips elegant in their tip toe over your curved behind, etching their impatient way to the tie in the centre of your chest.
“Oi! Keep your hands to yourself” A weak willed play fight broke out. Yoongi going straight for where you were ticklish; leaving you completely vulnerable to him manoeuvring you round to face him.
“Careful Min Yoongi, don’t be getting yourself worked up for something you can’t have”
“Can’t have?” If stroppy pouts could melt you, you’d be in a puddle right now.
“Last I remembered you invited the boys round to mine for a recording sesh” Your stroke on his chin phased his eyes to roll regrettably.
“Pretty sure you regret giving Hobi the key now ey?” you crept the words in his ear, pressing your hand to his crotch. His cheeks puffed up, sulking against your smirk poorly disguised through your mouthfuls of water leaving the pouty boy in the dressing room.
The pout was a constant tell as much as he tried to hide behind the lenses capturing the formidable stage unit the three of you formed. The multiple takes had a thin layer of perspiration gracing the foundation on your skin. The second the final bell rang through the metal interior the three of you took a breath, or several before you bowed to all the staff before embracing the two guys. The make-up artist rushed over to where you’d sat drooping your legs on the temporary stage, padding at your face. You shooed her off prematurely, not bothering with how wisps of hair were loosely stuck to your skin.
//
“That looks ace, thank you so much guys!” You exclaimed bright as possible. The three of you snug crowded round one of the main cameras
“It was a pleasure” Their eyes both drifted off to their manager who’d stepped in a bit closer
“Well that’s our cue to leave” Changkyun mumbled the drop in his face noticeable but not obvious.
“That’s fine, don’t get yourself into trouble”
“Give him ten minutes” Jooheon quipped.
//
You’d changed into a cool and floaty navy maxi dress. You’d fought and brushed as much product out of your hair as you could and shoved it in a loose pony. With only a few of the crew left on site, the wide-open space of the rooms seemed much larger, sound travelled heavier and echoed more. Yoongi was a picture holding your large D&G holdall glitzed with the gold emblem. He held the door for you leading into the drafty stairway. The grey concrete bleak, the bright blue railings guiding their way safely down. The walls were drab and plain.
You held out your hand, offering to relieve your boyfriend of the oversized bag from his slight frame. He began to oblige, eyes not wandering from his phone. His wrist caught in your hand yanking him into you and into the back of the wall. Did he resist? Absolutely not. Did he need any more guidance, most certainly not!
“Babe…”
“Mmm” humming in between your chest where his head and kisses were firmly being planted.
“Touch me already” your arms were loose as they draped over his shoulders.
“Seriously here?” It was more of a check than a complaint. Strong eyebrow raised.
Fucking yes
The hem of your dress slowly crept up your leg, crumpling up over his hand. His lips nearly caressing yours, the warmth of his breath rolling over your skin. The knowing smile escaped onto your features
“Fuck babe!”
“What?...mmm” your tone creeping higher feigning innocence. His fingers ghosting at the apex of your thighs. The bundle of nerves buzzing at the slight contact, he brushed his cheek to yours
“It’s too warm for underwear” you whined, still pleading innocence. Yoongi knew better, knew the lack of innocence you actually held.
“I’m calling bullshit” Your head gently rolled back into the wall.
“I’m reallllyy not complaining…” he added pushing a bit more of his weight into you, growling into your neck. Your grip tightening round his neck.
“Well let’s play a game of hurry the…mmm fuck up” you urged, teasing his fingers hard against you. The way his hips jutted feeling the rush of how much you wanted him.  With the heat combusting through the heavy kisses, the air was thick and blissfully suffocating. Engulfed in heat he dragged your body round. It was your turn to be shoved hard against the cool concrete
“Careful…” you choked between laboured breathes.
“You’ll give yourself a problem we won’t have time to fix”
“My only problem is not hearing you moan my name” Aggressive hands crept back round the front hoisting your dress back up.
Metal clinked; voices echoed. Heartbeat petrified still in your chest.
Innocent coughs smuggling smiles, arms linked as the last of the camera crew polite in their bow as the gave passage to you.
“Thank you, you worked hard” you responded in kind as Yoongi let you take the lead single file past the biggest cock blockers of the year.
//
“UUUGGHH” you whined slamming your head back into the head rest as Yoongi parked the Land rover in your bay in the gated underground parking of your building.
“I’m soo sorry babe, you know I want to finish this track with Hobi and Joon…I promise I’ll make you…What are you doing?”
Knitted eyebrows with brown pools twinkling with rare mischief that only glistened with you. Like the first time he decided to be brave and go down on you in a dressing room. He’d missed you a hell of a lot, too much apparently for even unbothered Yoongi to take control.
You’d shuffled and maneuvered yourself to the back seat dropping to the chair with a success filled sigh.
“I don’t want to wait until later” A teasing lip bite was all he needed to be scrambling into the backseat to join you. The tinted windows offering you more privacy than what waited for you in the apartment.
“And what I want I get” Your legs were already snug on either side of his hips
“Don’t I know it” His hands already ruffling up your dress as your hands dived desperate to unhook his jean buttons.
You secured his hands round the back of the head rest
“Stay” you urged; hands remained obedient as yours went to elicit controlled groans from his throat as your hand wrapped around him. The need between your legs grew, your bites of his lower lip grew harder, hips rocking against a frustrating nothing. Your ponytail got pulled back sharply. Yoongi apparently had enough of you torturing yourself and him
“Turn around and let me feel you now”
“My hands not good enough for you anymore?”
“Not when I know your just desperate for my cock”
Fair point
Agreeing with complete compliance, invested in his way of thinking. You swept your hair to the front of your shoulder. Following a hard grunt, a deep wet kiss was pressed to shoulder blade you needed to take a beat adjusting to him.
“Mmpphh” you both grunted, head falling forward. Hand grappling behind looking to hook onto any part of him. Palm closing in on his thin waist. Circle movements heavy in your hip
“Better? Is that all my baby wanted hmm?”
“Mmmhmm…Just you” you choked as his hips jutted upwards.
“Yeah?” hair weaved in the long genius fingers tugged hard lips, soft teeth not so on your neck.
“Use me then”
Oh I’m going to
His hand not leaving your hair, hips refusing to offer you anything. The filth Yoongi whispered in controlled pants still offered the motivation for your movements. Every time Yoongi felt the tensing of your thighs or your moans reached a certain pitch too high he couldn’t help but buck up into you. The dusting of a chuckle would ease in through his grunts at your cries.
He wanted to tease. The grip in your hair, the honey on his smirk and the slight growl in the background of his words told you that. Min Yoongi was now unbothered about keeping his friends waiting.
Not today
“Min Yoongi if you don’t make me…mmm… cum in the next 10 minutes…fuuuck” His fingers now tight between your legs, each burst of movement causing you to clench round him with a desperate tension.
“Your body is telling me you need a lot less than ten princess. I certainly don’t”
“Prove it” you challenged. A Challenge you knew he’d destroy in minutes. The air seemed to dissipate from the car, the heat instead hovering round the two of you. Goosebumps erupted all over your skin. Legs beginning to store the tension building up like Jenga blocks in your muscles. Back arching into him forming the perfect crescent. Your moans escalating both in pitch and volume rattled through his brain, trickling in hot drips down his spine adding the pressure within him to breaking point. A breaking point which spilled over before he could gain any control. The hand secured round your pony tail released and dropped to your shoulders with his head following suit, a few heavy breaths later
“I’m sorry… baby, you just feel too good”
“Turn around again baby”
“Do I need to do some more training with you? Your stamina is …” you teased hasty in your shuffle round, hasty to not let your climax slip to nothing.
“Probably” he confessed
“Thought…Mmhmm”
“Just be quiet and let me make you cum”.
//
The tips of Yoongi’s hair were damp, you tried to ruffle it but the damp ends still reflected against the midday sun. Your selfie camera informed you that out of the two of you, you were the only one that didn’t look like they’d just fucked in a car. Unfortunately for Yoongi his face always flushes a cute tinted light red. He hated it. You thought it was hilarious.
“Will you please do a better job of not smirking, you know how observant Hobi is” Yoongi scolded, amusement drained from his face.
“Sorry…” you chuckled. You passed your hand over your face, smirk disappearing. Normal face trying to hold while your hand pressed down on the handle. You were met with silence for a few seconds before you had Ted bounding for you. Soon followed by Joon and Hobi who had been sat on their phones on the sofa. The TV was a silent black.
“I said you guys can treat this as your own space when you’re here, no need to sit in silence” You reminded half chuckling swiping Ted off his feet into your arms.
“I know, I know” Joon acknowledged.
“Sorry we were late, shoot ran over” Ted was put back to scrambling excitedly at your feet as you maneuvered your way to the fridge. Your eyes shot to Hobi, controlled by the unconscious notion if anyone was going to pick up on your white lie it would be him. His eyes were hovering on Yoongi for more than they should.
“It’s alright we get it” With Hobi’s smile being as sweet and as kind as it was. It was hard to decipher.
“You guys okay to chill for like five more minutes while I grab a quick shower” Yoongi checked.
“I’ll even but the TV on for you” he added. At this point you’d already disappeared and enjoying the hot water streaming across your skin.
“Sure, don’t let that run over too though” Hobi jested emphasising the ‘run’.

11 ~ 3 In 1 ~ Piper Burst/Training Time/Added Member
Ok so I was still sad that I hadn’t included everything from the previous chapter so this may just be a shorter part 2, unless if I want to include the 3 in 1. Or both, both sounds good.
Word Count: 5381

Also, if you change your name please tell me, I don’t want to leave you out since you’ve asked to be tagged.
This fanfic and its ideas were all made after season 3 and before season 4/movie came out, so if something doesn’t add up please don’t worry. That information wasn’t available then, and unless it fits into my story or I like it, I won’t include it in my story.
.
Just so it's not too boring there won’t be an Akuma/Amok/Trinklet in every chapter. I may like fight/action scenes but too much isn’t good, kinda wish canon did that as well. So, I’m proposing that Hawkmoth won’t be making an Akuma every single day. Sorry canon, I don’t want my story to become repetitive. Probably the only other reason why is because I can’t think of any Akuma names/powers/reasons to be upset just for 1 time. Damnit, I have better things to do.

“Girls you need to wake up soon.” A voice shouted from downstairs. The three girls stirred awake.
“Ok, Maman sorry.” Marinette rushed downstairs in a panic, nearly tripping over the last step only to be caught by Rosina.
“C’mon Mari, let’s hurry,” Said girl pushed herself up and soon dressed in her usual attire. Yesterday was a hectic day, she hoped today would be much simpler.
No promises.
Kissing her Parents on their cheek, Rosina and Marinette prepared to leave, but someone tiny was following them.
“Oh Piper you can’t follow them, they have to go to Collège now. But you can stay with us and wait until they come home” Sabine crouched to her level and reached out her hand to pat her head.
But once again Piper grasped onto Rosina yet again, she wasn’t scared of Sabine, but she was still extremely cautious of everyone besides the redhead.
“Hey, Piper, its alright, it won’t be for that long” Rosina tried cooeing her, but she continued to grab onto her clothes.
“I don’t think she’s gonna let go” That could be a problem, if they left, they knew Piper would cry and may end up Akumatized, but they couldn’t skip Collège.
What to do what to do? …
“I know, I’ll call the college up and ask if you can bring Piper along, even if it's just for a short amount of time. Hopefully, by then, Piper will come out of her shell.” Sabine smiled towards the girls. She certainly didn’t want to make any of the girls uncomfortable, and she could tell how Piper wasn’t at ease around anyone besides Rosina and Marinette.
“Really? That would be so nice of you Sabine” Her smile widened as Marinette pounced on her Parents, exclaiming her gratitude as well.
“Well, we’ll cya later. Bye Maman, bye Papa” They waved, Piper copying the two as they took one step out.
“Marinette, Rosina! Now you have to explain!” A hand was pointed towards them by none other then Aurore.
“Aww she looks even cuter here”
“So, you weren’t kidding?” Marc stared in shock.
Who else had stopped them at the base of her door? Her friends of course. Of course, it had to be them, of course, they couldn’t wait until they got there.
Oh well, they would’ve had to tell them eventually right?
“Ok ok, we’ll tell you on the way” Piper was still shy and decided to bury herself in Rosina. They opted to tell them the same story Marinette told her Parents, after all, it would get too confusing if more stories were made.
“Soo Rosina just made a mistake? Good, we were worried you just took the girl from the street, man you got us worried” Marinette nervously gulped, if Rosina wasn’t as good a liar as she knew she was she’d think they would be in deep trouble.
“Is she alright? She does seem really scared” Marc asked worriedly, he knew the signs all too well.
“Yeah, she’s just really shy of new people, she always has” Rosina pat Piper’s head, and started to coax her into meeting her other friends. Saying things like they are just like Marinette and Chloé, and that they would never hurt her, and they would like her immediately, in fact, they do.
The three nodded but didn’t move so they wouldn’t alarm the girl. Piper peaked out of Rosina, gave them a slight wave in their direction, before turning back and hiding herself.
It was a good start the girls proposed.
“Aww, that was adorable.” Mireille cooed out. And Marc smiled. But Aurore noticed something tied around her waist. It looked… Like a mask.
.
Wait a minute!
“How does she have Crisono’s mask!?” Aurore didn’t mean to shout it, but the shock just overcame her.
Unfortunately for them, someone overheard that question.
“Who has Crisono’s mask?” The ombre haired girl asked, she had come up to the group, surprising them with her quickness and speed, she looked around before her eyes landed on Rosina and a kid she didn’t recognise.
“You have a Sister? No way me too. Tell me, is she a brat sometimes? Mine can be such a handful y’know, you can never get away from them to have some peace and quiet” Marinette's mouth hung wide open. The hell? How could that be the first thing she says? Yeah, siblings could be annoying (she didn’t know but with her sometimes babysitting Manon she could definitely say they could be a handful) but she couldn’t just outright say it!
“I know exactly how you feel, one of my Mother’s friends always asked me to babysit their kid and they could prove to be so much of a handful y’know. They eventually listened to me after so much time together they immediately grew to love me. But if you want, I could give you some tips?” Lila had entered the fray, and they hadn’t even processed it yet.
.
“Excuse you!?” It was Chloé. And boy did she look furious!
“There's one thing to intrude upon a conversation, there's another thing to just rudely cast your opinions upon a child!” Chloé prodded her fingers into the girl's chest, jabbering at her almost as much as her words.
“As if you can talk, you don’t even have a Sister. The most you had to take care off was your attitude, and even then, look where that got you” Alya jabbed back, as if she’d let Chloé of all people walk over her.
“Hey what the hell was that for? You were in the wrong first, and there's no need to fight in front of a child” Aurore jumped in, she saw the saddened face of the two girls and wanted to help. Her and Chloé may not see eye to eye but that didn’t mean she was going to leave her like that.
“Aurore I cannot believe you girl, I thought you had more sense than that. How can you stick up for Chloé after everything she’s done?” Alya held shock on her face, she thought Aurore was smarter than that, was she under the blonde and bluenette’s spell as well-
“That’s enough!” They all heard the voice, but were shocked at whom it was from. They all turned to look at Rosina, a wave of slight anger in her eyes they hadn’t seen before, two had and even they wished they could erase it from their memory.
The girl waltzed up to Chloé and Aurore, grabbed both their hands and walked off.
“We’re going to class so you can stop being mean to my friends” They walked off and into the school. Marinette, Mireille and Marc followed after them, surprised to see Rosina like that.
Alya and Lila stood there in shock, one noting that she wasn’t as much of an airhead as she thought, the other thinking maybe she had gone a bit too far with her comment about her Sister. Whatever the case, they decided to give her some space.
***
“Err… Rosy? Are you ok?” Marc was the first one to ask. Upon arriving in their classroom, it was empty, meaning they had some time before people would come crawling in. Maybe it would be good to meet up like this, so they didn’t have to wait for that one lunchtime to meet up.
To their luck, Piper didn’t understand the conversation they just had, and they were able to distract her with crayons and pieces of paper. She was drawing carefully for such a young person her age.
While she was in her element the rest grew concerned with Rosina’s outburst. They had never seen her like that, was it normal?
“Sorry, I just don’t like arguments. Me and Aunty never had them, so I really don’t like them…  And I didn’t like that Alya called Piper a brat.” Mireille rested a hand on the girl's shoulder, trying to comfort her.
“It’s ok Rosina. I hate arguments as well, it's normal. So, if anything else ever makes you uncomfortable just tell us ok?” Rosy stared before her smile stretched across her face, quickly hugging her.
“You guys are the best” Mireille was surprised as her emotions were quickly changing.
“Group hug!” Someone shouted, she wasn’t sure who, but it didn’t matter, everyone was engulfed in arms.
.
.
“You too Chloé”
“Ahh! -” She slowly accepted her fate, though her clothes may be ruffled, for once she didn’t care about it. Baby steps.
Time passed as they all talked over plans to hang out, since it was a Monday they all planned to watch Rosina’s fencing match, D’Argencourt allowed them to as long as they were quiet and wouldn’t distract any other students, and afterwards meet up with Luka and Noémie. Kagami would already be there and by her Mother’s command have exactly 2 hours of free time with her friends on weekdays. And if she had finished her noble arts and studies earlier, she would have some extra hours at weekends. It was better than before so they were glad they could bring Kagami along.
They had planned on going to an arcade, there was a small one apparently Noémie knew about, somehow, she knew all the best places, she must’ve explored a bunch of unknown sites.
Rosina felt tugging from her top and looked down to see the black-haired girl hand her some paper. It held scribbles of flowers and stars drawn all around it. Marinette had a few picture books she had used for when Manon would be quiet, and she quite enjoyed them. Piper seemed to adore them as every one of her drawings contained it.
That’s right drawings.
“Aww Piper these are adorable”
“What a real artist”
“I know exactly what to buy you for your next birthday” Piper had made a drawing for each of them, so 6 in total. And they were all great. They all felt honoured she would draw for them.
Ring… Ring
The bell had rung signalling for them to attend their own classroom. As the three from Mendeleiev’s class began to exit the room a certain redhead arrived.
.
They stared for a bit, one glared while another tried to dodge the gaze. Aurore grabbed onto Marc’s hand and marched straight out of there, if Nathaniel wanted to believe a liar more than his friend then that was on him. He made his bed now he can lie in it. Mireille walked along with them, and away they went. Marinette was still disheartened about the whole thing, she wasn’t able to convince Nathaniel to change his mind, she didn’t know what exactly Lila had told him but whatever it was, had fully convinced him Marc had to go.
Even after everything they had been through, he chose to throw it all away.
But that was how life was.
More people filled the room, some were surprised to see a child, others hadn’t noticed, some had taken double takes but the teacher luckily entered and was able to explain everything… Even if Marinette could tell she wasn’t thrilled about the situation. Marinette didn’t say anything, I mean, she was just a child, who may have not been taken care of, who was she to deny the girl some affections from her newfound Sister?
***
“Did you enjoy today Piper?” The little girl nodded, a toy was cuddled up to the girl, a toy a certain blue-haired boy was able to win, earning the trust of the girl right away. Since Luka was the only one to have a sibling, that they knew of at least, and with Juleka being his Sister, he automatically knew how to get the girl to come out of her shell.
It was incredibly cute, even Chloé couldn’t deny it. Her little arms reaching around to hug the second eldest of the group. Piper may have been shy towards the teens at the start, but she became pretty social afterwards. Accepting hugs from all of them and even being carried by them, she was then considered the little Sister to them all. And although it took a while for Kagami to earn the girls trust, she loved her none the less. Noémie begged to take a picture of the cute girl as they all posed again before leaving.
And it was at that time Marinette noticed she started to smile, she had seen the girl looking at other people laughing and hugging others, Marinette thought maybe she was just glancing at a lot of things considering her age, but now she knew it was because she was intrigued and probably just wanted to do it herself.
It was surprisingly Chloé and Aurore who were able to produce the first smile, Piper had pointed to a toy with a female in a giant pink tutu and in such an elegant stance, it appeared she was beginning her own routine. She didn’t know what it was so the group explained ballet to her, Aurore suggested someone demonstrating so Piper could properly understand and selflessly volunteered Chloé for the job. The other blonde appeared to challenge the thought and smugly waltzed onto an empty DDR machine. She danced as they all wooed her, clapping’s and a lone whistle was heard. She also had an audience partaker; Rosina copied her movements perfectly. Piper widened her eyes, astonished of how cool and fun it looked.
“Wow,” She whispered, a small astonished smile appearing on her face, making Marinette notice and pick her up to join them.
.
.
But she was only able to make everyone else unbalanced and all of them fell onto the floor in a pile. But they all laughed, her clumsiness was well known at this point, what else could they say?
When Piper waddled up to Chloé and looked up towards the blonde, she bent down towards her… And had her nose booped.
It happened, it finally happened.
Chloé hadn’t been so happy than in that moment.
Picking her up and spinning around saying she was going to teach her everything there was to ballet.
They continued playing with a bunch of other machines before the tiny girl was worn out.
Overall, the sleepy expression the tiny girl held on her face was well worn. And as the two girls headed back home to rest up, Chloé having departed already, they were going to enjoy their quiet free time.
Tap, tap, tap.
.
‘… Huh?’
Tap, tap, tap.
Marinette sat up, that wasn’t Chat Noir was it? He hadn’t visited for a while; she guessed his civilian self might have been busy but oh well.
“Chat what are you doing here?”
“How dare you mix me up for that oversized cat?”
Mrs Hernandez?
Her bedroom window opened, and the older woman had entered. One girl jumped as the other held an enjoyable expression on her face.
“Aunty!” Of course, she hugged her, and of course she had proceeded to be whacked on the head.
“What are you doing here Aunty? Is there another Trinklet? Or is there an Akuma we need to take care off? Do we need to bring Chloé with us again?” A whack was heard once more in the room.
“No amaretto, there is a much urgent matter to attend to”
“What is it?” Marinette grew worried, was this about the Miraculous, any side effects she had yet learned off?
“This… Is about your training”
‘Huh’
“Chop chop, you shall meet me in 10 minutes near the Louvre. And you best bring that Bourgeois girl as well” They couldn’t ask any more questions as a box was thrown towards them and she vanished.
What the hell was that?
And- wait 10 minutes, quick they had to leave now!
***
“Ok, we’re all here now, why did you have to have this now? I had to cancel a hair appointment for this!” Stinger huffed crossing her arms, clearly annoyed at the clash of events. Finding Mrs Hernandez at the Louvre was one thing, her pushing all three into the Trinklet without any time to speak was another.
“Well Bourgeois, if you want to take that hair appointment instead of learning how to be a mediocre hero, then you are free to leave and prove my point” They glared at each other before Chloé huffed off, saying she’ll stay here instead.
Hernandez smirked, knowing she had achieved a small victory.
Ladybug sighed, if this is how they’re going to act for all meetings she’d rather not be a part of any of it.
But the older woman coughed to get everyone's attention, they all stood in a line awaiting any other further instructions.
“Now that you’re all here you should expect that your once normal and average lives will be changed and altered forever, and because you’ve already accepted you can’t step back” Ladybug was about to speak up, they already had the Miraculous how crazy could it become?
She was silenced by the woman’s stare and promptly closed her mouth.
“Your training starts now, and I expect all of you to follow my orders without hesitation” A loud yes ma'am was heard, the other two promptly followed shortly afterwards, although with less enthusiasm.
“Now transform back” Crisono did it without hesitance.
Ladybug and Stinger froze and grew shocked!
“What? We can’t, I can’t let anyone learn about my identity” Chloé quickly shook her head, she knew everyone there knew about her identity but she couldn’t learn about Ladybug’s, not now and certainly not here in the Trinklet again Stinger had to have a moment to collect herself on being transported to two different worlds in two days.
“Oh hush, you can still keep your identity a secret if you really want to even if it would be so much easier if you didn’t” Ladybug and Chloé looked so confused, what?
“There is a spare set of sports clothes in those doors, change into them when you detransform… Secret identities are so much hassle” She muttered that last part as she walked away. Ladybug and Stinger looked at each other still unsure.
“Is this a good idea? I mean, doesn’t the Miraculous protect us from learning about our identities?” Stinger asked, she didn’t want to find out who Ladybug was, although she liked the mystery to remain she didn’t want to accidentally reveal her idols identity.
“I’m sure it’ll be alright, you’ll both be wearing masks still, plus I think your Kwami’s might be able to give you both a magic cover so I don’t think there's any reason to fear. Plus, now your Kwami’s can give pointers and help us and-” A finger was placed on her lips to silence her.
“Whoa whoa whoa, settle down there Rosina. One thing at a time. Let’s just get changed first before we get into that” Ladybug smiled, no matter the situation, Rosina would always be so hyper.
“Sooooorrrrrryyyyyyyyy, I’m just happy that we’re all going to train together, I know it's going to be hard at first, and hurt all over your body, and as days past you’ll wish to just stay in bed all day and forever… But I promise you’ll love it; we’ll all be the strongest heroes in the world”
.
.
.
What the hell did they get themselves into?
***
“Left right left right! Come on Ladybug, aren’t you faster than that!” She was dodging flying planks of wood that would swing right in front and back to her… Without her Miraculous. Man, what a nightmare, and this was meant to be basic training?
“What's the matter Stinker? Got cold feet already?” She turned her head towards the hero clad in yellow, fully knowing she wasn’t fearing well much either.
“It’s Sovereign Stinger to you” She replied but didn’t move. Below her were tiles that would set of a trap, she had to run to the other side without setting any of them off, if she did she would have to go back all the way to the beginning and start all over again.
‘I may hate this but I am so going to complete it just so I can shove it in that old woman's fac-’ Red flashed her eyes as the tile opened up and swallowed her whole, she would be placed at the start yet again.
The Kwami’s were busily indulging in food as they watched their respective holders… ‘Training’ they were of course worried but Hernandez told them not to, if they are any good at being heroes then this will be a piece of cake by the time they complete it.
They didn’t seem too convinced until they remembered to look up. A lone type rope was there, and a redheaded figure was slowly making her way across it, she was as straight as a board, and the baton she used to steady herself helped as far as they could tell. Until they were able to make out that she wasn’t holding it with her hands, oh no, she was holding it with her feet.
“Rosina is crazy” Pollen nodded her head.
“Yes indeed, I wouldn’t class this as any regular training I’ve seen, how can she see with that blindfold?” Pollen spoke, worried for her holder's friend as the colour from Tikki’s face drained.
“Wait she’s BLINDFOLDED!?”
“Of course she is, you wouldn’t think I’d give her something basic to start off with like those two?”
“THIS IS MEANT TO BE BASIC TRAINING!?” Ladybug screamed but she had lost her focus, she had gotten hit and flew across the field. Her and Stinger landed in a pile together.
“I have to say, you two did better than what I thought, but I suppose you can have a break” The girls smiled, finally some rest.
“Rosiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” The older woman screamed. As the two girls looked up, they were able to see their friend swinging around on the rope, if it was anyone else but her, they would’ve been petrified at that prospect but they weren’t concerned.
This wasn’t even the craziest thing she’s done-
Wait a minute she wasn’t swinging anymore.
“Heeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy guys” Arms were wrapped around the two girls as they screamed in shock.
“Wait for one-second Crisono, how did you get down here so quick!?” Rosina’s smile left her face immediately, and she leaned in very close towards the girls, they leaned in as well to hear her answer.
.
.
“Maaaaaaaaaagic.”
They fell over in shock.
“Now let’s get us some water I’m thirsty” She joyfully skipped over to their fridge as Ladybug and Stinger resolved to just sit down there, hoping there wouldn’t be any more surprises.
“Heads up!”
… Why does she keep jinxing herself?
A bottle landed on the bluenette, with no way for her to cover herself after being so exhausted with her previous training, she gave a glare to the redhead, who only smiled back in return.
“Sorry about that Ladybug. Heads up” Was spoken yet again, but the object was thrown in a different direction. And was caught by her Aunt.
Ladybug supposed it was natural, they must’ve done this routine over a hundred times by now, of course, they were used to it.
“You both need much more training before you can even qualify as a hero in my books, but considering it's only been a day I suppose it’s the best you can produce” Normally they would have a retort but they were too exhausted to think of anything witty, so they just waved her away.
“And I believe you require another person to join” The three girls looked up in confusion.
“When I’ll have you do the next step in your training, it's important that you can fight your opponent efficiently, but to do that you’ll need to fight each other to prove to me you listened to every instruction. And since I don’t want you slacking off, I think it’s time for you to include someone else.” The two girls glared at her with that last sentence, but she didn’t care.
“And so when you all train together you’ll know everyone's strengths and weaknesses, and since I want it to be even I believe someone else joining would prove useful to you. I want you all to know the importance of fighting without your Miraculous and not to rely on your magical power for everything.” Ladybug thought for a while, before deciding on someone.
“Great, I’ll bring Chat here and then we can get him up to speed with the Trinklets and Revenant-”
Whack.
“OWW!”
That sound was heard throughout the field, but instead of the redhead being hit, it was the bluenette.
“What was that for!?” Hernandez glared at the young heroine; she was so naïve it hurt her so.
“I will not have that mangy cat anywhere here until he proves he can act serious in a battle. Until then I want this to remain a secret from him… Do you all understand?”
“But Chat is Ladybug’s partner, they can’t keep secrets from each other” Tikki tried to reason, Chat may act goofy sometimes, but he was still a hero to Paris no matter what, he still helps whenever he can.
Mrs Hernandez however never lifted her glare.
“I won’t repeat myself again,” Tikki reluctantly flew back down to Ladybug’s side saddened she couldn’t persuade her former holder, but a gentle pat on her head calmed her down.
“Now I expect you to pick someone that will have a strive to protect and conquer any enemy in their way.”
Ladybug looked down in thought, if she couldn’t let her own partner know who else was there? It, of course, couldn’t be Alya or Nino, she hadn’t called them up since last summer, they were unofficially retired.
And it couldn’t be anyone from her class, it may be petty of her, but she also believed they wouldn’t keep it a secret, she still feared for the day Alya would tell Lila she was Rena Rouge.
What about one of her new friends?
Although, they might find it strange to suddenly called for, plus she didn’t want them to fear for the new threat.
She needed someone that would be composed and loyal, and who would take the situation seriously.
.
.
A light bulb went off in her head.
“I see you’ve made your choice… Hurry along now, make sure you don’t keep me waiting” Ladybug got up, said her goodbyes with the promise of bringing someone who would be perfect for them.
After all, they already knew each other.
***
“Amoretto, I know she’s your friend but you do have to hit her at some point, you need more help with your combat abilities as it is”
A dodge was made.
“But Aunty I can’t, she’s my friend… And she might hit me harder”
A fist was pulled back…
“Damn right I will”
But it couldn’t make contact.
“Get back here Rosina!”
“Nooooooo you’re scaring me!”
And that’s the story of how Hernandez had two children running around her in circles.
“Ahem,” Someone cleared their throat to gain the three’s attention from their… “Training”
“I thought long and hard about what you said Mrs Hernandez, and I believe I’ve chosen the perfect candidate” Ladybug stepped out of the way for the person to come out.
They waited before seeing blue hair and a maroon mask, they had already gotten changed into the Gym clothes so at least then they could get started.
“Hooray a new face. Hiya there I’m Crisono” The new blue-haired girl stood back, so this was Crisono Tassa? She had expected her to be a bit, how would you say? Formal? Serious? But here she was all smiles and giggles.
And reminding her of someone.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Crisono, I’ve heard so much about you, I would be honoured if we could have a fencing match?” Crisono’s eyes lit up in awe. Sparkling with joy.
“Of course of course of course. Aunty can we can we can we? Pleeeeease?” She fluttered her eyelashes in her Aunt’s direction.
Hernandez, however, didn’t respond as she was looking the newcomer up and down, trying to stare her down, but it appeared she wouldn’t look away from her glare. Almost challenging it weirdly.
“Heh” Hernandez smirked, she liked this kid already, she seemed to prove herself in a matter of unspoken seconds, she couldn’t wait to see what else she could prove.
“I suppose seeing your skills in action would be a way for me to test what your capable off, if you think you can handle it?” The new girl nodded.
“I will strive to do everything to prove myself” She bowed formally.
“Very well, cherub teach her what it takes to be a true hero” Crisono excitedly waved her arms up and down again, a habit the girls noticed she would do whenever she was happy.
“Ok… Does that mean we can fight?”
“Yes, of course it means you can fight… What am I going to do with you?” Hernandez sighed as Rosina giggled before taking the new girl’s hand and take her to a large field. Ladybug and Stinger making their way over as well, wanting to enjoy the show.
“Oh yeah, what's your superhero name?” The new girl looked down, she knew, in the long run, she wouldn’t be able to go by her old name, Hawkmoth already knew her identity and she couldn’t put her friends and family in danger.
So, she decided to choose someone who had inspired her for a sport she had grown to love.
“I’m YukiOta”
.
.
“I suppose you’ll need to catch me up to speed Tikki” Longg floated over to his long-time friend, forgetting the last time he had seen her he was excited to spend some time outside.
“Of course Longg, don’t worry it's not all bad… At least I don’t think so” Longg looked confused, what did she mean by that?
“Here Longg, we have plenty of snacks to eat as they all train. But don’t worry about them, they’ll be alright” Longg gave a puzzled look again before settling down near them, greedily taking a cookie while listening to Pollen and Tikki retell the recent events that had transpired.
.
.
“THAT’S BASIC TRAINING!?”
“You’ll get used to it”
***
In a classroom, voices were heard. Well, more like whispers were formed by the people in there.
And it was very clear as to why.
They all saw, it was impossible not to notice.
I mean, the three girls who sit in the back come in, all with bandages around them? What had happened? Were they involved in a fight? Was there a short Akuma attack the news team couldn’t capture because they couldn’t get there in time?
Whatever had happened they were still worried and asked what had occurred, they may not be on the same page but to leave them like that would just be heartless, a brunette couldn’t really care less but had to act as if she did.
.
“We’re starting paintball lessons”
.
.
And like that everything went back to normal, of course, that had to be the reason. Kim vouched, saying the last time he went paintballing he came back with a bruised leg, he hadn’t worn enough protection and shivered at how long it took for him to heal.
And even though it seemed plausible… It still seemed strange that someone as clumsy as Marinette, and someone as dirt free as Chloé would ever participate in such an extreme sport such as paintballing.
Rosina, they could kinda understand, she had already proved to be a pro of a fencer so this activity would just be a form of exercise.
Chloé had asked why Marinette was all banged up only for Rosina to say her Aunt wants her to personally teach her some self-defence tactics, but she kept falling over. Chloé laughed at that as Marinette huffed asking why she’s so banged up, Chloé’s smirk fell off her face as she stuttered for a reason, eventually saying she was starting karate thank god Marinette seemed to buy it.
The girls thought the next few days wouldn’t be as bad.
.
Boy were they wrong.
***
And it’s done, sorry this might have taken longer, I kinda got into a Pokémon phase as I plan to do something big with Pokémon, but I need to plan it out more, so hopefully, that will be good. Also, hope you like it, next one is either 3 in 1 or Felix I’m leaning more towards Felix, haven’t decided yet, anyone have any short requests for me to do in the 3 in 1? Any scenarios?
Well anyway, I’m going to upload YukiOta’s design afterwards so you can all see it. Hope you’ll like it.
Also, what really sucks is that my drawing tablet doesn’t work with the Paint Tool Sai and every time I install it and uninstall it, it always makes my computer reset so I really hate that. Hopefully, it's just a problem with the laptop as I’m planning on getting another one for uni soon. But that also means updates will be slower so sorry, but I want to pass uni.
Anyway, hope to see you all soon. Have a good day/night.

Tumblr media
A weekend passed since Y/N’s unexpected confession to Chanyeol and neither of them spoke nor sent a text to each other. Y/N would be lying if she said she wasn’t hurt that Chanyeol didn’t even try to ask if she was alright or whatever he could say, nonsense or not, it would have cheered her up. But no, no text or anything that showed that he cared and this made Y/N even more depressed.
While Chanyeol was off to who knows where, Baekhyun took it upon himself to be by Y/N’s side. And so he came unannounced to Y/N’s doorsteps much to her dismay. All she wanted was a weekend to herself to focus on herself and her thoughts. But Baekhyun came in knocking on her door with a bag full of clothes.
“Get out” Y/N glowered as she watched helplessly as Baekhyun plopped down on her bed, covering his body with her blankets, positioning himself to get comfortable. After some tossing and turning, Baekhyun gave Y/N a grin, clearly enjoying the other’s distress.
“Baekhyun!” Y/N stomped towards him and hauled him out of her bed making him land on the floor with a thud. Baekhyun glared at her playfully before standing up and holding Y/N’s hand as he dragged her out of the room.
“What the-! Byun Baekhyun!” Y/N hollered, trying to pry off her hand from Baekhyun’s but he was much stronger than her. Upon arriving at the living room, Baekhyun pushed Y/N down on the couch and sat beside her, still holding her hand in case she run away.
When Y/N managed to remove her hands away from Baekhyun, she stood up and began to run away but Baekhyun was much faster and held her waist and pulled her down to his lap. Y/N huffed, very annoyed now. She turned to face Baekhyun and glared at him and wiggled her way out of his arms but Baekhyun tightened his arms around her, pulling her closer to him.
They made eye contact again and Baekhyun turned red at their close proximity. Y/N was still glaring at him but he was too mesmerized by her eyes, blurring out Y/N’s protest as all he could see was her eyes...and then her lips.
Y/N jumped out of his lap when he softened his touch, running up the stairs to her room, slamming the door shut that caused vibrations that echoed down the stairs.
Baekhyun still sat on the couch, his face flaming red as his heart thumped up and down as if trying to jump out of his chest. He laid his hand on his chest, gulping as he tried to calm down. He stood up, clearing his throat and shook his head, trying to clear off his still beating heart.
He reached her door and knocked “I’m sorry” He said, his head against her door, reminiscing her touch that sent flames down his spine “I didn’t want to annoy you. I just wanted to make you smile...” He trailed off.
He heard a muffled sigh from the other side of the door and then there were footsteps and the door opened. He stumbled but Y/N caught him in her arms. He was about to jump away from her when she tightened the hug, whispering “I’m sorry too”
Goosebumps shot through his body and he pulled away from Y/N, afraid that if he stayed longer, she would feel his loud pounding heart. He gulped, looking straight to her eyes that reflected his stupefied ones.
“Baek?” She asked softly, reaching for his hand but he leaped away. Y/N looked at him confusedly, tilting her head at his weird behavior “Baekhyun? You alright?”
Baekhyun snapped out of his trance, clearing his throat and masked his inner feelings with his bright dazzling smile  “Sorry, I was thinking. Anyways, let’s binge watch some movies before your mother calls us for dinner!” He chirped as he skipped towards her bed.
Y/N chuckled and asked “Aren’t you embarrassed to eat dinner with us?”
Baekhyun smirked at her “Your family loves me”
“My dad doesn’t like you”
“Oh, he’s glad I’m here. He loves me alright”
Y/N rolled her eyes, plopping down next to him as he browsed through her laptop for a movie worthwhile to watch.
Tumblr media
The next morning, Y/N and Baekhyun went to school early, much to Baekhyun’s protests. Y/N wanted to go to school early as to avoid Chanyeol as much as she could. She thought that if they arrived early, she wouldn’t have to suffer seeing Chanyeol first thing in the morning.
But her efforts turned dire when they saw that Chanyeol was already there. The three of them turned frozen at the sight of each other, ironically being the only ones present in the room. Y/N gave Chanyeol an inscrutable look before walking to her proper seat. As soon as she sat down, Y/N put her head down on the table, her earphones blasting off loudly to erase any outside noise.
Baekhyun stood, unable to decide who to sit with. Chanyeol was still his friend, and he will never ever abandon him no matter how mad he is at him. They stared at each other, their eyes communicating until Chanyeol stood up, slinging his bag on his shoulder and made his way out of the classroom.
Baekhyun shuffled towards the seat beside Y/N, dropping his bag as he sat down. He glanced at Y/N who miraculously fell asleep despite the situation. He chortled under his breath, gazing at the sound-asleep girl.
For the rest of the day, Y/N didn’t turn, didn’t look and didn’t talk to Chanyeol, avoiding him like the plague. While Chanyeol would look at her longingly, unsure if he should approach her or not. Baekhyun and Chanyeol spoke to each other but said no word about Y/N’s confession, as if it never happened.
Baekhyun would see Chanyeol hesitating to talk to Y/N and so made an effort to somehow put them close to each other but every time that Y/N would be close, Chanyeol would run away, irking Baekhyun. Y/N would also see Chanyeol’s retreating figure and would feel hurt all over again, though she wasn’t sure if she wanted to talk to the boy or not.
Tuesday was the same with Chanyeol and Y/N not acknowledging each other to the point that every one around them noticed the sudden change of behavior. Even teachers would ask if they were alright and they would always brush it off, though it was clear to everyone that the two was not in talking terms.
Baekhyun suffered from his best friends’ broken friendship as when he hangs out with Chanyeol, he would feel bad that Y/N would be alone. But then, when he hangs out with Y/N, he would also feel bad when he sees Chanyeol alone, though he always disappears during breaks to be with Mi Soo. He racked his brain for a way to save Y/N’s and Chanyeol’s friendship, but every time he finds a way, Chanyeol would run away and Y/N won’t stop him and feel bad all over again. Baekhyun could only sigh at his hard-headed friends, cursing the heavens for involving feelings in their already beautiful relationship.
Wednesday came and just like the last two days, Chanyeol and Y/N avoided each other. Y/N thought things would go easier but being in Chanyeol’s presence was enough to down her entire day.
It was their 3rd period and after that, their break would come. Y/N tried to listen to their teacher but her eyes would open and close, finding their lecture boring. It was always like this with this teacher, the teacher knew what she was saying but her students didn’t. One of her classmates actually made a list as to how many times their teacher said “So” to distract himself from falling asleep. Y/N would feel bad for the teacher, knowing that she was putting effort but none of her students appreciated it. Y/N did try to listen but her eyes just couldn’t take it.
What actually made her eyes open was that when their teacher announced that they would be having an activity and that they had to group themselves to 3-5. Before, grouping themselves wasn’t a problem as Chanyeol, Baekhyun and Y/N would always group together, but Y/N wasn’t so sure anymore.
Nervous, Y/N turned around to where Baekhyun and Chanyeol were seating. Y/N saw the glint in Baekhyun’s eyes and turned away from him, but not before making eye contact.
“Y/N~” Baekhyun cooed loudly making Y/N flinch. She could see him approach her from her peripheral vision and so she turned the other way, not wanting to hear Baekhyun’s proposal that Y/N already knew what.
“Y/N! Y/N!” He chirped, trying to make Y/N look him in the eye. Y/N closed her eyes tightly and started chattering  to blur out Baekhyun’s loud voice.
“Y/N!” Baekhyun screamed, prying Y/N’s hand away from her ears “Y/N Y/L/N!!!” Baekhyun yelled in her ears. Y/N’s eyes flew open and glared daggers at Baekhyun who only grinned in triumph “Let’s group with Chanyeol!”
Baekhyun chirped loudly that some of their classmates turned to look at their commotion. Y/N mumbled profanities at Baekhyun who only laughed at her face. Her mouth zipped shut when she saw Chanyeol appear from behind Baekhyun, making eye contact with Y/N.
Chanyeol gulped audibly before sitting down on the chair a seat away from Y/N. Baekhyun also noticed his appearance and yelped in glee, happy that the three of them are sitting together again. Baekhyun plopped down on his seat, grinning like Christmas came early.
“So, how are we gonna do this?” Baekhyun asked beamingly “Y/N?”
“Why are you asking me?” Y/N shifted on her sit, uncomfortable.
“Because you’re the leader!”
“Excuse me? I’m the what?” Y/N exclaimed, her eyebrows rising as she felt herself getting irked by Baekhyun.
“You’ve always been the leader, sooo...what we gonna do?” Baekhyun said rather cheerfully. Y/N stared at Baekhyun as if he grew three heads but remained silent, leaning back to her seat and grumbled to herself.
Baekhyun looked at Chanyeol then at Y/N, sighing. He leaned back on his chair, his smile now turned into a frown. He pursed his lips and crossed his arms, glum at his best friends’ actions.
Y/N looked at Baekhyun, guilty. Y/N sighed before turning to the two boys “I need you to revise and you-” Y/N paused and looked at Chanyeol whose eyes are wide in surprise that she actually spoke to him “-you print”
Baekhyun’s mouth was agape, but nonetheless happy. He giggled and Y/N smiled lightly at him. Baekhyun cooed at her, ruffling her hair, feeling proud. Y/N scoffed at him, swatting his hand away from her hair, but she had a smile on that made Baekhyun relieved.
“Anyways, Yeo- Chanyeol” Y/N cleared her throat and continued “C-can I have a piece of paper?” She asked, embarrassed, looking at the pad of paper Chanyeol held in his hands.
Surprised at Y/N, Chanyeol nodded without a word, clumsily peeling a piece of paper and giving it to Y/N. She gave him a small smile to which he grimaced. Y/N frowned, suddenly feeling down again at his response.
Baekhyun started jabbering away and included Chanyeol and Y/N as much as he could. He felt his heart soar when Y/N laughed, his eyes shining in delight.
Y/N felt nice, laughing again with Chanyeol and Baekhyun made her feel like it was back to normal. She was too far in her head that she spoke to Chanyeol without even hesitating, happy that she could again. Chanyeol was laughing too but when he and Y/N made eye contact, he suddenly froze, not laughing anymore.
“I-I’m...” Chanyeol stood up, looking down on the floor, unable to meet their eyes. Baekhyun and Y/N gazed at him worriedly, Y/N’s demeanor dropping when he tried to look at her but turned away.
Chanyeol walked out of the classroom, leaving a gaping Baekhyun and a hurt Y/N. She thought it was okay again, that they’ll be able to still be friends after all that. Y/N felt herself boiling in anger as she stomped off, running after Chanyeol all the while hearing Baekhyun shouting her name.
Y/N caught up to Chanyeol and caught his arm to stop him. Chanyeol looked at her with his eyes wide open “Y-Y/N?” He stuttered. Y/N was about to speak but looked around to see that there were too many people to listen to them and so she pulled him to somewhere secluded.
Once they were under the staircase, Y/N let go of his hand and gazed directly to his eyes, determined to put an end to their drama. Chanyeol looked back, his lips sealed as he waited for her to speak.
“Are you that uncomfortable with me?” She asked, her voice cracking that pained both their hearts
“I’m-” Chanyeol paused again, pushing a hand on his hair, distressed “Yeah, yeah I am” He said, nodding to himself.
It was silent again. Y/N absorbed his words that threatened tears to fall down her face. But she gulped, not wanting to cry anymore in front of him. Not wanting to cry anymore because of him.
“Can’t we still be friends?” She asked, her voice almost quiet, afraid he would hear and answer what she most not want to hear.
“I don’t know” His voice was sad and he was looking at her now. They stared at each other, their eyes sad and tired, both yearning for everything to be still the same as before. When Chanyeol and Y/N were best friends and nothing more. But it couldn’t be. At least for Chanyeol it just couldn’t.
“You don’t know...” Y/N nodded, kicking a stone as she paced, scoffing. Chanyeol took it as his chance to walk away but Y/N got a hold of him, pushing him against the wall that forced him to look at her directly in the eyes.
“Why won’t you just look at me?! I know I made you uncomfortable with my sudden confession and I very much know that you don’t feel the same but-” She ranted, pausing to take a breath.
“Aren’t I your best friend? Aren’t I worth fighting for? Or was our friendship not that important to you enough to break it?” She lost it, holding Chanyeol’s blazer as she looked up at him.
Chanyeol scoffed, pushing her off of him “How can you say that?!” He paced in disbelief. He stopped and looked at her “I-I just can’t see you the same anymore! What we had was so so beautiful but you just had to break it-”
“Oh, so now you’re blaming me for my feelings?!” Y/N glared at him and his eyes was wide in anger, an expression she has never seen him pull on her before.
“Why did you have to feel that way? Now everything’s fucked up and my girlfriend’s uncomfortable and-”
“She knows?!”
“Of course I told her, she’s my girlfriend!” He snapped but he didn’t stop there
“She’s uncomfortable enough that we’re in the same section and I’m- I’m uncomfortable” He said, jabbing his hand on his chest.
“You’re my best friend! So wh-why?! Why did you- WHY?”
“I couldn’t help but love you” Y/N sobbed, her feelings out there and she couldn’t stop it. Chanyeol let out a painful breath and fell down on the floor, putting his hands harshly against his head.
“Why now?” He asked, his voice muffled “Why now when I’m-” He huffed, his ears red and painful when he let out tears.
They sobbed, the inevitable end of their friendship just round the corner and both of them didn’t dare cross it. Y/N dropped to her knees and hugged Chanyeol’s hunched figure. Her tears fell on his blazer as she hugged him tighter, refusing to let go. Because once she did, it’ll be over.
They stayed like that, even when the bell rang. By now, both of them has stopped crying and just stayed in their position, savoring each other as much as they could.
Y/N squeezed him tighter one last time, pressing a kiss on his head, whispering “Goodbye, Yeol-ah” before she let her arms fall down to her side. She stood up and glanced at him one last time before walking away. Chanyeol’s head was still hiding in his arms, refusing to acknowledge that she really left.
He could still feel her arms around him and he sobbed. His heart screamed at him to run after her but his body refused to stand up. If he run after her now, she would still be with him. Everything could still go back to normal. But time passed and he knew it wasn’t worth it anymore. He had Mi Soo, running after Y/N would be wrong.
Chanyeol went home that day, not bothering to get his bag because he knew she would be there, and he can’t, he just can’t.

~~Episode 1~~
(Part 1 bc there's a lot)
The outside of a big looking school is decorated with many different balloons and banners as an overview of the place is shown before the host walks out. "Hello teachers. The long wait for these amazing people are here. You at home will have the power to decide the group that is made from these amazing females. Now, let us open the doors of this prestigious academy and welcome our students!"
She motions to the huge double doors, that open to reveal a garden with every contestant standing there, smiling in there pink and grey uniform. All of the girls bow before screaming "Thank you Teachers!"
The screen turns to the voting process, showing how you, the teachers, can vote!
At the end of every chapter (except for this one as this is episode 1) you can vote on which Angel you wish to stay.
This will be the link for it: 🔗
You can make multiple votes, but only up to three times and must be used on a different Angel each time, so choose wisely! The Angel with the least amount of votes will be sent home, leaving the Academy. However, if a judge uses a "life saver", an orange button on their desk, then the Angel who has been eliminated stays.
Now, without any further ado, let's go!
∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆
Inside of the main garden, there are chairs set up with numbers. The chairs are clear with glitter inside, making it sparkle in the natural sunlight.
Also in front of the chairs is a screen showing what company the incoming girls are from. A few girls have already came and sat down at the lower number seats, feeling giddy about just being in the competition. "I wonder who's next" one girl asked, jumping up and down. Just as she said that, the screen showed a company that no one was expecting.
"BlockBerry? Isn't that Momoland's company? "
Everyone leaned forward to see who was the next girl to walk out. When she did, everyone gasped and squealed.
Out walked a girl in a blue t-shirt and shorts, leaving her long brown hair down. She smiled before bowing. "Hello, I'm Soo Jin from BlockBerry!" Everyone bowed back as she began to walk by them looking at each seat's number. Soo Jin had no intention to go for number one, but to get into one of the high numbers.
Back when the producers asked her about what number she would go for, she said "number 3." She walked straight to that number before sitting down. As the number was one of the highest, it was on a high peice of land. Everyone looked at her in awe that someone jumped from where they were sitting (at the lowest numbers) to number 3. Just like before, everyone turned their attention back to the screen to see who would come out next. "YG?! "
There was no denying the shock everyone had when it came on screen. Soo Jin leaned forward, wanting to see who they planned on sending from such big company. Two girls walked out, one in overalls and the other in a blue flower print shirt and skirt. The girl in blue also had blue hair. The one in the overalls speaks first announcing her name as Seo Bong Soo as her partner doesn't say anything. The girls watch as the two walk twords number 6 and 7 chairs. "Wow, they're so pretty~" Soo Jin mumbled before looking back at the screen.
FNC
Everyone went wide-eyed when 3 girls from FNC walked out. Everyone just started at them, too nervous to speak. As the girls walked by, everyone bowed and watched carefully where they were. "They must feel confident. They come from the same company as AOA" Bong Soo wondered as they walked into the same aisle as her, taking the 8,9,10 spots. No one yet had dared to go to number one
Cube Entertainment.
Everyone's hearts stopped when the company's name came on the TV. Soo Jin had flashbacks to when she applied for cube, but didn't make it due to her not fitting their new image. 4 girls walked out, each one everyone thought was prettier than the last. Each girl smiled at each other girls before talking to one another about which seat to go to before walking to the 11,12,13,14 spots, surprising everyone. "Is everyone afraid of the number one spot? " Soo Jin asked one of the girls who were at the bottom seats, who ends up shrugging.
Pledis
When the company name and the girl's name pop up on the screen, everyone began to look at each other. "Kang Mina?! Woah, she's a really popular trainee"
Yee Mi,who's from cube, looked at her fellow trainees. "I bet you she'll go for number one. She's really good" When Kang Mina was asked about what number she would go for, she chose number two, as number one seemed to ambitious for her to start at.
She soon walked out, in awe of the place before going to seat number two, surprising everyone, especially Yee Mi.
JYPE
No one expected that JYPE would send someone, let alone 3. As the names popped up on the screen, Bong Soo immediately gasped at one of the names. She was a big Got7 fan, so when she saw the last name of 'Tuan', she got excited. "Mark's little sister came on the show! " She told producers. "It's crazy because I didn't know if she wanted to follow Mark's footsteps like that. "
Sure enough, out of the 3, everyone stared at Wendy Tuan, who smiled and bowed. As she was walking along the number aisles, number one caught her eye. She walked up to it, surprising everyone. She touched it, her hands skimming along the chair before starting to sit.
"I really wanted to just stay there, but it was too high up" She told producers. She soon got up, walking back to seats 15,16,17
MNH
"Isn't that where Chungha is? " Wendy gasped before the two girls walked out. "I heard one of them is the actor Lee Min Ho's little sister" One of the bottom numbered girls whispered as the two walked by. Both girls stared at number one for a second before going to number 18,19. Spots were filling up fast an everyone was trying to figure out who else would come out...
SM Entertainment.
"No way" Yee Mi gasped as the name came on. No, not the model branch, the actual music branch.
Qyu-May walked out, confidence oozing out of her. Everyone stared, in complete awe. She began walking twords number one, not looking back. "Which spot would I go for? Number one" She sat down in the number one chair, gasping at how high the seat was before looking at who was at number two and at number three, waving at them.
iQYI
No way.
"What?!" Everyone was so shocked at the name on the screen. "China? " Everyone was shocked as the two girls walked out. "Wait, these two were on Youth With You! " Qyu-May gasped. Both girls looked at the remaining seat numbers. The girls chose seats 4,5.
Individuals.
"There's gonna be individuals? " Wendy asked, watching as the 3 trainees walked in, smiling softly before going to the 18,19,20. Everyone thought that it was over and that they were about to meet the host and judges when all of a sudden....
Bighit
"WHAT? " Everyone began freaking out at the company name. "When did BigHit start excepting girls? " Everyone thought it was a joke until a girl walked out with silver hair. She smiled before bowing. "I'm Wo Kimmy from BigHit". She walked over to the 21 seat (the last seat before the other random girls from earlier sat).
Now, everyone was here...
And class begins now.

The stress was getting to you. There was no denying that the stress was getting to you but you kept it hidden well. The dance competition was only a week and a half away and you and Hoseok were spending a lot of time in the practice room perfecting your routine and you were in the process of finalizing one of your pieces for the showcase that Joshua was going to perform for you since you were no singer and often hid behind the curtains. To everyone around you, it seemed like things were going well.
Jihoon, Jin and Yoongi could tell you were stressed though. It was obvious to them as they saw you almost everyday and picked up on little things you did that were slightly out of character. You had a tendency to skip meals and spend a lot of time in your studio, at the same time Jihoon was busy with his music too and despite wanting to spend a lot of time with you, he still had to work on his projects as well in his own room studio. This meant that the two of you were communicating more through text and phone calls as opposed to seeing each other which was in a sense okay, but you also missed hanging out with him just as much.
Yoongi saw the significant change in you during your practices with Hoseok. The dance routine consisted of many flips and were times where you’d stumble on your landing and more often then not, Hoseok would have to catch you as you tripped. This was a big concern because the dance competition wasn’t far off and he knew you had to be in top shape but it was obvious you weren’t. Fortunately, your meetings with him didn’t take much energy and he was still satisfied with the work you were doing and rarely had anything to comment about outside of your exhaustion he could see but you always brushed him off saying that you were fine and just needed to get a bit of sleep. He knew you weren’t sleeping.
Jin was now home full time as Yoongi had warned him of what you were going through and the rest of the boys in the house were wary. You never ate with them and constantly locked yourself in your room working for long periods at a time, only to come out and get a snack. It got to a point where Jin started making meals and leaving them on your desk everyday. He would personally sit in your room with you to watch you work while you ate just to make sure you did it. Unfortunately, it didn’t sit well with him when all you would eat were a few bites before claiming you were full and proceeding to continue with what you were doing.
To them, you had become a literal zombie and it only got worse.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Hoseok asked one day as the two of you were walking back to the house after a late night practice session. During the practice, you had messed up one of your flips and landed directly on your knee as opposed to your feet which was where you were supposed to land and despite you being able to walk, it was obvious that you were in severe pain.
“I’m fine...I just need to ice it when we get back to the house and I should be good for practice in a day. Please don’t tell the guys or else they’re going to have a major freak out and we can’t afford that right now” you responded as if you weren’t in excruciating pain. There was a throb in your knee but other than that, it wasn’t all that bad and you were sure it wasn’t going to bruise. “Plus, would I be walking if I wasn’t?”
“If you’re sure…” Hoseok said with a side glance as he opened the door, “WE’RE HOME!”
“Finally! Y/N did you forget your phone again?” Jin asked popping his head out of the kitchen and you gave him a sheepish grin, nodding your head. “Well, it’s been going off for the last hour so you should really check who it is.”
“Sorry Jin.” you said as you slowly walked to your room trying not to limp, you could feel Hoseok’s stare on the back of your head as you opened your room door and closed it in order to change.
Once in the safety of your own room, you let out a sigh of relief, happy that you made it this far and started limping towards your bed.
“Why are you limping?” a voice behind you asked catching you off guard and you ended up falling as your knee gave way.
“Y/N?” the same voice asked and you looked up to come face to face with your boyfriend who looked incredibly concerned.
“Geez Jihoon, make some noise next time.” you said as he came to kneel next to you, “What are you doing here?”
“I finished my projects that I had to do and wanted to see my girlfriend.” he responded as he helped you up and sat you on your bed before sitting down himself. “Where were you?”
“Dance practice with Hobi.” you said wincing as you tried to lift your knee. “The competitions in a week and a half and we still have a few loose ends to tie.”
Jihoon nodded his head as he saw you struggle to bend your knee and helped you take off your dance shoes. “Are you okay? Did something happen earlier?” he asked and you could hear the concern in his voice which made your heart melt.
“I just had a little accident.” you said giving him the sweetest smile you could muster, “I’ll be fine in a day or two though.”
Jihoon looked at you, like REALLY looked at you and all he could see was pure exhaustion radiating off of you. You had eyebags deeper then a skeleton and your shoulders were slumped to the point where he was supporting you to stay up. It had only been two weeks since you saw each other for a long period of time and he was shocked to find that you weren’t taking care of yourself. “I’ll go get you an ice pack” he said standing up but your hand on his wrist stopped him.
“Please don’t...I don’t want the other guys to know..” you said looking down, “We’re too close to our deadlines and the last thing I need from them is to worry.”
“They worry because they care babe.” Jihoon reasoned but sat down anyways just as a knock came to the door and Hoseok poked his head in with a tray.
“I offered to bring you your dinner today Y/N” he said with a small smile before placing the tray down on your desk and producing an icepack he had hidden under his shirt. “And here. Jin made enough food for two.” he said offering the icepack to you but Jihoon had taken it and held it to your knee he now had on his lap.
“Thank you.” you said with a small smile, “I appreciate it.”
“Take care of yourself.” he said as he opened your door, “Though I’m sure Jihoon will be able to help with that now so I’m not so worried. Have a good night you two.”
“Night Hobi” you said as Jihoon waved.
Once the door was shut Jihoon let out a sigh and continued to hold the icepack to your knee.
“You’ve been stressed…” he said softly holding your cheek in one hand. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“You’ve been busy with your projects too...I didn’t want to bother you so much.” you reasoned and Jihoon let out a quiet scoff.
“You know I’ll always make time for my girlfriend.” he retorted and shifted so you were now leaning on your bed frame and he went to get the food Hoseok had brought and placed it on the little table that you had next to your bed. “Yoongi called me today...he said you haven’t been yourself and wanted me to check on you.” he explained as he made you a bowl of food as well as himself.
“Traitor.” Jihoon heard you mutter under your breath which made him chuckle.
“Baby...What’s going on?” he asked as the two of you ate.
“Nothing.” you responded, “I’m just starting to feel worn down...it’s normal at this time of year.”
“It’s not supposed to though.” Jihoon said placing a hand on your knee, “Especially when you have an awesome boyfriend like me to depend on.” he finished with a grin which earned a giggle from you. “But boyfriend also has a weird ex who is stalking me around campus to this day...did you know she transferred over?” you asked and Jihoon nodded.
“Cheol told me the other day...has she done anything to you?” Jihoon asked wanting to know if Hana was a contribution to your stress.
“Not...really?” you said with furrowed brows, “I can tell that she wants to talk to me...but I’m not sure about what and with me being too busy and all because of school and dance, I can’t find the time to even care much…”
“Good, you shouldn’t care about someone like her.” Jihoon said as he reached into his pocket and brought out a braided leather strap with a metal charm on it, it was similar to the one that donned around his wrist except the charm on yours was rose gold, “I’ve been meaning to give this to you for a while now but we haven’t really met up soo..”
“What is it?” you asked as he put it on your wrist. “Since when have you been into couples jewelry?”
“I actually...got this for Hana when we were dating but she never really deserved it so I never gave it to her.” he explained, “This is a thank you...a thank you for believing me, a thank you for changing me into a better man...A thank you for depending on me...and a thank you for letting me depend on you. It’s a reminder for you to know that you can always look to me in your time of need too. You’re my miracle, baby. I wouldn’t be the man I am now if you weren’t in my life.” he said softly, wrapping his arms around you and bringing you to his chest.
“Awe Ji…” you said looking down at the bracelet while tearing up, “You...you’re amazing and I know that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. These last few months have been amazing with you.”
You leaned your head up so your lips could meet his in a tender kiss and your hands that had the bracelets on them intertwined.
“Can you stay tonight?” you asked, you missed him so much and it was nice to have him by your side. Jihoon nodded to his bag he had in the corner of the room.
“Already intended to.” he said kissing your lips once more. “Now let me take care of that knee of yours, the competition is literally a week and a half away.”
The two of you spent the rest of your night talking, kissing and cuddling before settling down to watch a movie on your laptop. When Jin came to check on you a few hours later, he was happy to see you bundled up under Jihoon’s chin and wrapped in his arms, the hands that had the bracelets on them intertwined on top of the blanket.
A few days later, you were on your way to the dance studio to meet with Hoseok and Seungcheol whom Hoseok had asked for his input on the competition routine. Unfortunately, Jihoon had a meeting with Yoongi so he couldn’t walk you from his class over but promised he would meet up with you once you were done.
Your knee had healed, despite the slight ache you felt whenever you bent it. You had spent almost two hours convincing Hoseok that you were fine to compete though he did not believe you at first, but after running through the routine almost flawlessly, he gave in.
“Hey you!” you heard someone yell from behind just as you were at the top of the steps only to see Hana walking towards you. She had caught you at the best time too since Seungcheol nor Jihoon were around and you could only curse in your head at your bad luck.
“Can I help you?” you asked pretending not to know her and tightened your books to your chest.
“I want you to stay away from Jihoon.” she said harshly, “He doesn’t need you in his life.”
You raised your eyebrow at the immature girl, “Excuse me? And you are…”
“Don’t play stupid, you know who I am.” Hana said with a glare, “Stay the fuck away from Jihoon. He’s only using you to get over me and I want him back so you better let him go.”
Oh my gosh, Hana was acting like a high schooler and you had to think about what Jihoon had seen in her all those years ago. You were already running late and didn’t feel like arguing with her but her comments irritated you.
“I’m sorry...Are you a high schooler? Cause that was pretty immature, of course I know who you are Hana.” you said with a glare that matched her own, “The person who stole his work, the person who broke his heart and his trust. The person who got kicked out of her old college because her department had FINALLY caught her plagiarizing other peoples work. Who did you leech off at your old school once Jihoon was gone?”
“I did no such thing” she denied, “This isn’t about school, this is about you and Jihoon. If you don’t let him go, then I’ll have to teach you a lesson.”
“Yea, good luck with that.” you said, “You are aware who I’m related to in this school right?” You never liked using the big brother card but with Hana, you had no issue. Especially since she had threatened you.
“Who cares!” Hana yelled and then something caught your attention. The bracelet on your wrist with the charm. She had been with Jihoon when he bought it all those years ago and promised to give it to her on one of their anniversaries but he never did and now, it was on your wrist. This triggered her immensely and she growled, “That bracelet...is supposed to be mine!” You looked at Hana and down at your bracelet, “Jihoon gave it to me as a gift. I don’t think it was ever meant to be yours.” you said as Hana took a step towards you making you back up slightly, she had this look in her eyes that were giving you signs that things were not going to be okay. Inwardly, you groaned. You left your phone at home again and couldn’t call anyone to help you.  The campus was also practically empty since it was dinner time so it was only the two of you around.
“It is mine...he bought it for me but never gave it to me.” she growled and grabbed your wrist, she obviously didn’t care how close you were to the stairs at this point and you were sure that she was in a state of blind rage. “Give it back! It belongs to me! Jihoon belongs to me! You already have everything you need! The student body presidents your brother, the top music producer from this school is your brother and you’re one of the most popular people in this school! So just give me whats mine!”
“Let go of me!” you yelled back, “Stop acting like a spoiled brat! Nothing BELONGS to you, you need to EARN everything you do. Instead you STEAL peoples music because you don’t want to work hard for your own! Why do you think Jihoon left you in the first place?”
That statement was the final straw for Hana and it triggered her immensely and the next thing you knew, she was trying to rip the bracelet off your wrist. “Give it to me! You’re the spoiled brat here!” she yelled and you dropped your books to try to get her off of you.
“Let go of me I said!” you said trying to get her iron grip off of you but the next thing you knew, Hana had scratched your arm so hard that it made you gasp in pain and you felt your foot slip. You rolled down the five steps which would have taken you to the dance studio and heard a crack in the process.
Had you not been short on sleep or as stressed as you were, you figured you could have fought her off but because you were so tired from staying up late the night before things didn’t go accordingly and Hana had successfully pushed you down the stairs. The only thing that she didn’t succeed in, was taking the bracelet off of you but she was going for that next. But before she could take a step down the stairs, two voices yelled from behind her.
“Y/N!”
“Hana!”
Seungcheol and Hoseok, who had been on their way to the dance studio themselves saw you and Hana fighting from afar and were running towards you when they saw her shove you backwards.
By the time they got there, you were at the bottom of the stairs clutching your knee in pain, trying to hold in the tears that were threatening to fall . Hoseok was quick to get his phone out while Seungcheol pulled Hana aside and started yelling at her.
(Across campus)
Jihoon sat with Yoongi in his studio where all the magic happened and the two were having a conversation about one specific piece.
“So you think she’ll know its for her? Jihoon asked as they listened to the song.
“My sisters not dense...she might cry though..” Yoongi said with a grin, “It sounds great and she’s going to love it. Good job.”
“I should thank you though.” Jihoon said looking at his mentor, “If it weren’t for you, I would have never met her...and we wouldn’t be where we are now. I would still be in this messed up slump and probably would have given up music by now.”
Yoongi smirked and ruffled Jihoons hair, “I knew from the moment I met you that you’d be perfect for her...you really compliment her well as she does you. It was only a matter of time that the two of you would meet. You have too much talent to give this up Ji.”
“I know that now...because of her. Honestly though, I fell for her the day I saw her at the cafe and thats when I didn’t even know who she was. She just looked…,bright, happy and the way that she spoke with the barista as if they had been friends for ages really warmed my heart.” Jihoon said looking down, “I think I may love her already…”
Yoongi nodded his head in approval, “Good, cause I’d have to kick your ass if you didn’t” he joked and looked at his watch, “We’re just about done here...why don’t we go grab a bite to eat and then pick Y/N-”
Yoongi’s phone rang and he answered it when he saw Hoseoks number.
“What’s up?” he asked as he heard Hoseoks frantic voice.
“What the f...Who the heck did that to her?”
Jihoon’s ears perked up at the anger in Yoongis voice and saw that the man now wore a scowl on his face,
“For fuck sakes...we’ll be there soon. Don’t move!” he said and stood up quickly grabbing his jacket while hanging up.
He looked at Jihoon and all the younger male could see was anger and fear.
“We gotta go, it’s Y/N.” was all he said and Jihoon was quick to get up as Yoongi yelled out the door.
“JIN! WE GOTTA GO, GRAB A BANDAGE AND AN ICEPACK!”
Soon the three men were out the door, almost running across campus to get to you and to see what was really going on.
It was the one time that Yoongi cursed that dance department being on the other side of the school.
By the time they got there, they saw many different things. A group of students had crowded around the group, Seungcheol was now standing next to a guilty looking Hana who had snapped out of her rage once Seungcheol had yelled at her and the other members of the BTS frat house who were on campus were also present.
Jihoon felt the anger build inside him, of course this had to do with Hana. He mentally cursed himself for letting you walk across campus on your own which left you vulnerable to her and his only priority now was to make sure you were okay.
When Hana saw Jihoon approach, she tried to reach out to him, “Ji...i-it wasn’t my fault.”
“Shut the fuck up.” he said in his coldest voice as he walked by making her flinch, “If my girlfriends injured because of you, don’t think I’ll hold back and trust me, I’ll get the story from her.” he said as Yoongi told everyone to move out of the way so they could get to you.
Seeing the student body president and Yoongi approach did just that and what they saw made them cringe.
You were at the bottom of the steps, which thankfully were only about five down, holding your knee to your chest and they could tell there was swelling since you were wearing your dance shorts and a bit of blood from the concrete.
What broke Jihoons heart was that you looked like you were trying to hold in your pain though your face was beyond red. Hoseok was softly speaking to you, trying to get you to allow him to inspect your knee but you couldn’t move nor speak and you just held your knee tightly to your chest.
“Y/N” Jin said as the three approached you.
Jihoon was quick to be at your side while Yoongi and Jin more or less forced you to let go of your knee.
He took your hand in his which made you look at him and he wiped the tears that had fallen with the pad of his thumb.
“J-Ji…” you whispered trying to hold in your sob, “it hurts sooo much.”
“I know baby…” he said softly as he pushed your head to his shoulder and stroked your hair, “Let Jin and Yoongi look at your knee and just focus on me okay?” he whispered in your ear.
The smell of Jihoons cologne was comforting and you tried to focus on him stroking your hair instead of the pain of Yoongi and Jin looking at your damaged knee. You felt the tears that had been threatening to spill come out and was thankful that Jihoons shoulder let you hide them. You hated crying in public.
Jihoon felt you slowly relax in his arms as he continued to stroke your hair and whisper in your ear. “It’s going to be okay…just focus on me...I’m here for you baby…”
“We’re going to have to take her to the clinic. Her knees too swelled up to see if anythings broken.” Yoongi said as he applied the icepack and Jin started wrapping it around your knee.
“Namjoon went to get his car and is on his way.” Hoseok said. “I already called ahead to the doctor the dance team uses and she’s going to take her in immediately.”
“You guys go to the clinic with her.” Jin said standing up once he was done wrapping your leg and glared straight at Hana, “I’m going to deal with what happened here and I’ll meet you there after.”

G H O S T: Onto Me
I N S P O: Haunted x Beyoncé (Listen to if you want to height experience); Also the whole BEYONCÉ album just for a different feel
N O T E: Soo, this is my first Erik Stevens installation and I will probably do many more. I love to write, just period. This is short, it may end up to be something more, I really don’t know. I am just following my Muse Juice lol. Comments, Feedbacks, and any other things please give me! I appreciate it all. Please, enjoy.
W A R N: I am an adult and everything is 21+. I write angst, fluff, and smut. I will try everything to be as real as possible. If there are any deep triggers, it will be stated after this disclaimer. Some chapters may have lyrics, others may not. It will all depend on the chapter.
T R I G G E R: Alcohol; Anxiety
W O R D: 3.1k
G H O S T: Onto Me
I'm climbing up the walls 'cause all the shit I hear is boring. All the shit I do is boring.
“Do you trust me?” the warm breath brushed on her exposed stomach.
Flat in its natural state, it churned to anything but. Soft, rhythmic breathing filled her bedroom as she watched the figure beneath her. Her eyes must have been filled with dark lust because the only thing that she felt was the heaviness on her bottom half. Only a silhouette in her view. She wanted to moan their name but she was interrupted by a sting from a bite.
“Ow..” Soliyah giggled softly, eyes fluttered down to the dominating figure that drove her up the wall. The question still not answered by Soliyah was the reason for her punishment of the love bite against her belly.
“I asked, do you trust me?” the figure questioned along her stomach with a short growl intertwining with their words. Trust receiving the lowest octave. Soliyah’s eyes finally flutter open, but slightly. Her eyes landed on what seemed to be an amber-like hue pair back at her. Breathlessly, she nodded.
“Say it” the eyes growled back to her, consuming her body in their hands. Lips planted on her stomach, hands trailing to her love spot.
Her bottom falling limply as she cried out “I trust..you⎼”
EGH!EGH!EGH!EGH!EGH!
“Hmm..” Soliyah whined as her face plastered in her ivory and periwinkle Egyptian Cotton bedsheet. She wasn’t frustrated because she had to go to her dead-end job, but because this was the 2nd time that she has had that exact dream. It would always stop right there, though. She could never see who the mystery figure who had invaded her dreams for the past 3 weeks. Soli did attend a bachelorette party around that same time, but she couldn’t be that deprived could she? Her brown slit of eyes watched as her iPhone clock changed from 6:55 AM to 6:56 AM. Planning for her day ahead she managed to swing her relaxed thighs from under the covers.
Soliyah was always curious as to why that quote-on quote wet dream, felt more like a real-life simulation. She made a note to herself that only two glasses of wine should suffice for her daily nightcaps after work. The 27-year-old, Soliyah Burnett was fortunate enough to become an adjunct professor for Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. She was looking forward to a promotion to become a permanent professor. Also, she is waiting to be placed with a hospital for her residency.
She did not always want to be a doctor, it sort of just became her destiny. Soli, as everyone would call her, always knew that her job was always going to be to heal people. Though she would like to become a permanent professor, she wanted to be a doctor more. Her thoughts of her future - the one she would have daily - clouded her mind before she became alerted of a Facetime call from her long-time friend, Nala. Yes, like The Lion King. Let’s just say, moms was obsessed. She flicked the excess water from her fingers from the sink, sliding the call waiting to the right.
“Yuurp” she bellowed through brushed gums.
“Ew, girl answer the phone like a regular person” a wrinkle formed over Nala’s nose as a goofy glance of disdain fell. “Good Morning!!” her words changed to her frequently up-so-happy attitude.
“You are too loud this morning, I don’t be gettin’ it” Soli mumbled before spitting out the froth of the minty toothpaste into the sink of running water. It was true, Nala was definitely a morning person and it didn’t help that they worked at the same place. Matter of fact, Nala put in a good word for her, seeing as though that she is on the Board of Directors at the school.
“How can you not be up in the morning? When you have your own practice, and you will” she affirmed to her always doubting friend “You gon’ have to be gettin’ that ass up around, like,  4:00 AM at least”
Her eyebrows raised as the echo of the ridiculous time ranged in Soli apartment bathroom. “L-O-L” she actually spelled out, she was corny like that sometimes. “You are funny, I’ma see how I can finesse that to be ‘Nah’”.
With her laidback slur that ran from her bewitching face, one would be confused. A delicate woman that looks like she, but had the heart and brute strength of confident language. You would not know that she was a professor to over 400 students - not simultaneously -  and may obtain her residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Everything was going to be set.

“Tonight’s the big night!” Nala cheered through the speakers of Soliyah’s Onyx 2018 BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo. She let out a sigh that was becoming well needed by the hour. Tonight she was going to find out where she was going to be placed. It was Sinai or nothing else, it was going to be that.
“Yeees, I am so nervous” she confessed to her best friend. They were those type of friends, talked on the way to work and at work and on the way home. They practically grew up attached at the umbilical cord. Unbeknownst to the mothers, they delivered them both at the hospital a day apart and turned out to be new neighbors to one another, as both families were of newlyweds. Small world would be an understatement. Soliyah never questioned the universe and its decisions, but she always was thankful.
“Don’t be, after work we are going out to find out this information. Cannot have the repeat of acceptance of Doctrine night, mm mm” Nala’s head shook as if Soli could see before they both let out a peal of uniformed laughter.
Her eyes focusing in on her designated parking spot as her lip tucked beneath her teeth, she parked in her spot. “I’ma see you inside” she confirmed with her waiting friend as they said their ‘Okay’s’ before hanging up. Soliyah opened up her front face camera on her phone to do any last-minute checks of her appearance before facing the day. She fluffed her blowout before feeling a heavy, energy-sucking feeling from behind. She definitely felt eyes on her, snapping her head back around to her backseat she looked for what could be a perpetrator. Adrenaline running down quickly as she saw nothing, she snorted at herself for even thinking that anyone would be able to get into the back of her car without notice.
Shaking off the level of spook that she felt, Soli, retrieve her well needed essentially for this 8:00 AM Tuesday morning. Laptop, Tea, Phone, and Lesson Plans. The list is checked off, she made her way up the walkway as some students she was familiar with gave small greetings. A hard tingle went over her ass running up her back. There it was again and this time goosebumps decorated the nape of her neck. Trying, now, not to look paranoid she turned around quickly, but not to alert anyone as she looked for any person who may look strange or who is just having a hard time not staring at her ass. Again, she saw nothing out of the ordinary.

“Okay, you gave me two old historical natural medicines that have helped the human race. Does anyone know of the other?” Soli’s eyes danced across the confused students' faces. She wasn’t disappointed that they didn’t know the answer, quite frankly she was surprised that the class was able to muster up two answers. This class was a drag to the student, imagine how Soli felt teaching and trying to make it fun. Her eyes scanned against the auditorium filled the room as she saw a hand from the way in the back raise. She couldn’t see their face but the gleam of what seemed to be their gold watch shone like an SOS light enough for her to see.
“Yes?” she inquired while calling on them, some eyes turning, some eyes focused on Ms. Soli as the students like to call her.
“Marijuana” the student answered truthfully as the class erupted into laughter. Some ‘Oo’s’ and name-calling rounded up the room. Soli laughed at the reaction of the students, knowing that the joke was on them. Hearing the fade of the class settling down, Soli projected “He is not completely off, it was not specifically Marijuana but the chemical named ‘CBD’ aka Cannabidiol. So, thank you for that”
“What about Vibranium? That’s been around for thousands of years and it’s mined naturally, IN Africa? We don’t talk about that” a female’s voice crowded the room as others asked confused about what Vibranium and its purpose. Others agreed with the protesting young woman. Soli had minimal knowledge to other forms of resources other than Western ones, she sort of felt like an airhead for the brief moment. However, she was never the type of person to say she knows something when that is furthest from the truth.
“Honestly, Chey, I have no clue. They don’t have it in the curriculum and that sucks.” Soli's throat began to create a dry patch as she spoke in her truth, something she often did in front of her students “Myself included, I do not know too much about the resource and its effects. I would love to become educated by anyone who has the information, privately, of course, can’t be disrupting my class” laughter erupted through the class before quieting down just as quickly the wave came
“But” she continued “I will try my best for us to incorporate more history of us and our people and their contribution to medicine more often. Please bring in your information”
“Aye! You a real one, Ms. Soli” one her comedic students bellowed out in the classroom and others agreed with their laughter.
“Don’t gas me” she laughed along with the student, looking to the clock seeing that the class still had 20 minutes worth of lecture left. “Aight, aight settle down. Now, what is the purpose of each of the three medicines?” her commanded attention on the class reigned as hands shot up waiting to be chosen.

“Soliyah! Hurry up before all the good seats are gone!” Nala squeaked in the low-breeze of the California wind.
“Waddaminute child!” Soli beckoned back as she ran across the semi-busy street from her parallel parked car. “Tryna get me smooshed out here” she breathed out a chuckle, half from catching her breath and the other half from being caught off guard from the wind that hit her. “Come on” she shooed her friend inside to the lounge.
This was definitely Soliyah’s kind of scene. Quaint but enough individuals in the vicinity to capture a story or two. The lights dim and powdered like as the hue of black and brown furniture decorated the place. Sounds of the long loc’d fellow, spit out his spoken word through the worn brown leather book. She smiled to herself and to Nala as her best friend truly knew her. If she was to find out if she got into Sinai or not, she would have wanted to celebrate (or wallow) in a place like this.
Once they found their seats, the night started to drift on pretty quickly. However, to Soli, it seemed that every millisecond within the 60 seconds was dragging. She wanted to rip the band-aid off but she couldn’t find the strength to even peek at her phone.
“I’m going to do it for you if you don’t open up that damn phone” a tortilla chip bounced in Nala’s open mouth as she spoke once more, picking up another chip “It’s way past 6 o’clock, they have sent it. You got into Sinai and we are going to turn up. So, let’s get it!”
Half wanting to kick her under the table and half wanted to thank her for getting her out her thoughts, she picked up her phone slowly off the table and waited for the Face ID to recognize her. Her trembling thumb danced to her email icon, keeping breath in she searched through pointless emails only looking for the one that stated “Congratulations! You have been Placed!”.
Behold as she manifests it, there the subject was staring at her. This was it, her residency at one of the most popular hospitals in this area was all she wanted once she started her program at UCLA. Pressing the button, she read the letter stating her congratulations but a frown quickly found her lips as she read what could be some of the grammatical error. Or Los Angeles and Oakland look a lot alike in the dictionary.
“What does it say? What’s it say?!” Nala eagerness broke Soli from her dumbfounded look. If anyone told her that her face could stay like that if she made it, she would just keep it for the rest of her life. Not speaking quick enough, Nala snatched the phone sighing out, rolled eyes to follow at her apprehensive best friend. Soliyah looked up her almond-colored friend as she read through the email with a wide-spread smile then just like clockwork, down to frown.
“Oakland?” she questioned
“Oakland,” Soli answered, unenthusiastically to add.
“I mean...at least you got placed?” her friends' natural switch to optimism charged up but Soli sour mood climbed it down with a single look.
x x
“An-nd you want to know what else?” Soliyah was completed drained at this point, three shots of Henny in and a Long Island. It was almost time for her to go home. Soli was not much of hard liquor drinker but she felt that need for the occasion.
“Listenn..” an internal burp bumped into her chest as her glossy brown orbs watched Nala. Nala had stopped a drink and a half ago, knowing that her friend needed this moment. “It’s not that I don’t like Oakland, my fuckin’ family is from there!” her volume raising an octave causing Nala’s eyes to fly open after they sleezed overhearing the story of how she put herself through all schools, she made it out of her neighborhood, and being the youngest to do what she is doing in her social and work circle.
“It’s just that I l-left” she pointed to the right indication moving forward “so that I don’t have to go back” her fingers fling opposite direction almost spilling her drink “until I had my own practice, learning fromm these wealthy ass people over here! Infiltrate and then invest in our community!” Soli began to channel her inner Chey.
“Alright, Angela Davis, I think that we had enough for the night. So much for no repeats” Nala said more to herself but Soli caught the joke and bellowed out a burst of laughter, though it was a  bit more extra needed than the statement.
“I will be right back” Nala got the idea of grabbing napkins and speaking to the bartender about having plastic bags and water, they were going to need it. But, before Nala could depart from Soli, like lightening her left fingertips wrapped around her medium wrist “Waait, no no, don’t go. I’ve been feeling like some has been watching me like just been watching me” she repeated to her friend before the fear didn’t resonate with her but with liquor being her catalyst. The real emotions were surfacing.
Nala’s eyebrows knitted together watching her frantic friend, watching as her face is flushing colors of red and green indicating that they needed to go home right away. So, to oblige and get out of there quicker, she nodded in hopes to have Soli follow “Okay, baby, and if he comes around here we gon’ fuck ‘em up okay?” her mother like tone soothed Soliyah at best for right now.
“Okay,” she mimicked before sitting back and watch her friend disappear into what was the growing crowd. Her eyes scanned the bar as she tried her best to maintain her composure in this public establishment. She definitely went over her limit and was using a sick day the next day, it was needed. She felt that feeling again. Someone was watching her and she was trying to raise up to notice the creep but only did it with her eyes. Peeking through her small fingers, her eyes lashed tickled inside her palms searching for whatever stranger was staring at her.
Then, an instant lock or connect had formed. Sober or intoxicated, Soli had never felt another like it before. It was like when you knew that you were in the right place, at the right time, with the right person. Eager now, her eyes shot up to now catch this culprit she has been playing with what felt like all day.
Maybe it’s all in my head? She thought foolishly to herself, she knew someone was watching her. The next 3 seconds felt like a lifetime as in the search for what she thought the culprit would look like, her eyes passed a stranger that her brain made sure to mentally to take a snapshot of. The figure stood still by himself with the crowd around him, eyes set on Soliyah and only her. The familiar amber-hue she sought after the first dream came into view. Her body froze but the heart was hot as the California week with no rain or sign of a cloud. Mind you, this was all in a matter of 3 seconds.
She thought of how when you look around and other people look around too, you catch each other’s gaze. This shit wasn’t like that for real, it was like the figure was waiting for her eyes to meet his. Sobered up slightly, scared to scanned her 180 degrees way back, she did it despite the fear of the man still staring at her. Remember, this was a matter of 3 seconds of how long their eyes met. Disappointed that the figure that once stood out to her in the crowd was now gone.
“What’s wrong with you?’ Nala appeared looking in the direction that Soliyah had her eyes set on before looking to her. Soli didn’t notice the apparent frown that crowded her face as she stared that the very spot sacred like he was going to magically appear back.
Eyes drawing from the spot, she faced her friend “Nothing, I think it is time for me to go” the rummage in her stomach signaling on cue.
“Ya think?” Nala laughed as she grabbed her drunken friend, leading her to her car, being the designated driver for the there 5-minute ride home.

Chapter 4
March 15
“What do you mean you don’t want us to stop that transaction?”
“Boss, are you an actual idiot?” Junmyeon went pale in front of the computer screen. Suji’s words didn’t have a hint of a joke, she was actually asking if her boss was an idiot. That always disarranged him.
“I’m not, I’m your boss”
“Then why are you asking such nonsense? It took me two months to finally get something, a very small something by the way. If you guys fail, you know who would be the first suspect for spilling all the information?” Suji enjoyed throwing rhetorical questions at her boss. She knew he hated them.
“We are not going to fail”
“Mister Kim, of course no, Minseok’s team is flawless, but if you guys catch him with only that, a small drug transaction, it would be a waste of time. How much could he get for that? 3 years in jail? I still need more evidence, strong evidence…please boss, I know why I’m telling you this” Junmyeon couldn’t fight with that. She was right. She was always right.
“Proceed as you say, agent Yoon”
“Thanks boss! Now if you excuse me, I need to hit the gym” Suji turned off the computer and Junmyeon couldn’t see her anymore.
“Can you believe her? She called me an idiot and she hung up on me, I’m her boss! And older! She doesn’t respect me at all!”
“She does respect you, but in her own way” Minseok stood next to Junmyeon, after listening to his conversation with Suji. He patted Junmyeon’s shoulder and left a cup of coffee on his table.
“But she is right, we shouldn’t get in Kyung Soo’s way yet”
“I know!” Junmyeon took several zips from his coffee and Minseok could see he was thinking deeply about something.
“Minseok…I have been thinking…for a long while…or wondering maybe, that someday Yoon could turn against us” Minseok answered as if it wasn’t a big deal, something that didn’t surprise Junmyeon.
“Yeah, I’m sure that under the right circumstances, for her of course, she might turn her back to us”
“But how? She is so trustful?” Junmyeon couldn’t answer that question himself, so he needed another point of view, from someone who knew Suji better.
“She is, but first, she is trustful to herself ”
Junmyeon cursed and drank his hot coffee.
From March 23th to April 12th
March 23th to March 24th
The day after the transaction Kyung Soo felt especially happy. Everything went well, and that was always a reason to celebrate. He had breakfast in bed and got up a little bit later. He took a long shower and for lunch, he asked for his favorite food. He had lunch with all the staff and Baekhyun. The plan for the afternoon was to take advantage of the bright sun outside and play with Taro and Sabotaro.
The relationship he had with his dogs was pretty special. He saved both of them from an abusive owner, and he made sure to make the owner pay. He liked how they looked like tough dogs, but in reality, they were a pair of teddy bears that enjoyed being scratched in the tummy, run around the garden and eat apples.
That afternoon Taro was acting weird. He didn’t run as fast as Sabotaro, and he didn’t touch the apple that he gave him. Still, Kyung Soo kept playing with them, Taro was always the calm one, and maybe he didn’t feel like playing.
Kyung Soo could catch Taro’s and Sabotaro’s attention with a fake chicken that made a horrible sound each time they pressed it. Kyung Soo would throw it and both of them would run, catch it and bring it back to Kyung Soo.
By the third run, Taro suddenly stopped and fell on the floor.
“TARO!” He ran and reached his dog in no time.
He was unconscious.
Kyung Soo moved him but there was no response. Sabotaro smelled and bit his friend’s ears, but there was still no response. Kyung Soo kept calling his name, touching him, trying to bring him back to consciousness.
“Mister Do, move!” He jolted and was pushed away by Suji. She sat on the floor next to the dog and sank her hands in between Taro’s back legs. She posed her index and middle finger on his inner thigh and kept them there for a couple of seconds.
“There’s no pulse…here, call your vet, tell him what happened” Suji passed him her phone and Kyung Soo grabbed it with shaking hands. Thank god he knew the number by memory. Meanwhile, he saw how Suji began the compressions in Taro’s chest. Kyung Soo explained to the veterinarian what was going on. They suggested applying CPR to the dog, which Suji was already doing. They told him that they would be there in 5 minutes.
“What did he say?” Suji took him out of his stupor. She was still applying compressions.
“He will be here in 5 minutes”
“Good, he will be breathing by then” Kyung Soo stood next to her, not knowing what to do, but admiring Suji’s assessment. Sabotaro sat next to him, and stared at Suji with his ears up, whimpering. Kyung Soo could hear her mutter a ‘Come on boy’ as she kept applying CPR with a synchronized rhythm. Kyung Soo was in charge of the time, Suji shouted at him ‘check the time!’ when she saw him with his arms resting on top of his legs.
Three minutes passed.  Each time a minute passed, Suji would check Taro’s pulse. Nothing yet. She kept pressing, her voice wasn’t a whisper anymore, she screamed at Taro, asking him to come back.
“4 minutes” Kyung Soo said, and Suji checked Taro’s breath again.
“He is breathing!” She checked his pulse and smiled at Kyung Soo.
“The pulse is back” So did Kyung Soo’s. When the veterinarian arrived,  Suji took the lead.
“He faded while playing, he had no pulse and he wasn’t breathing. I applied CPR for four minutes until he started breathing”
“Good job, let’s take him to the clinic” Kyung Soo and the vet took Taro in their arms and Suji stayed in the garden, holding Sabotaro, who insisted on following them.
                                                    ≠
She never imagined that her direct ticket to Kyung Soo’s right side would come from such a humble existence as a dog.
She was cleaning the library when she saw it happen. Kyung Soo ran until he reached his beloved dog, desperate, trying to get a response from him. Her body responded immediately. She ran towards Taro, dropping to her knees so she could help him.
It was an old jail companion in North Korea who taught her how to do it. And it stayed in her head. She always wanted to have a dog, in the future, when retirement was her only option.
Kyung Soo spent the night at the clinic. Everyone’s mood at home changed. From worrying about their boss and his dog. Both of them were really loved, Suji already knew that. The rest of the staff thanked her for the help she gave, but she wasn’t quite sure how to answer. Saving the life of such a precious creature was an instinct of hers, not a duty. It didn’t matter who’s dog it was, she had to help Taro. She didn’t do it thinking about the pros.
Kyung Soo came back the next afternoon and found Suji cleaning the windows of his office. He looked tired and worried. Dark circles framed his eyes and his clothes were full of wrinkles. Suji went down the chair that helped her reach the high part of the windows and stood in front of him.
“How 's Taro?” Suji took a step back when he did nothing but bow. His head almost touched the floor.
“Miss Park, thank you so much for saving Taro’s life, the vet said that without your CPR Taro wouldn’t have made it. I can’t thank you enough, I own you so much”
A dark grin broke Suji’s face.
March 25th to March 26th
Kyung Soo woke up by the sudden landing of a heavyweight on his bed. In front of his eyes, there was Baekhyun, dressed in shorts and a t-shirt.
“I’m sorry to interrupt your sleep, especially after what happened, but we need to hold a reunion. Our client wants more of that new meth. He got us new contacts in three new police stations, so we need to re-arrange some of our guys. Also, I already got in contact with the seller and he will send us a bigger shipment tomorrow. It will be here in two days.”
“Ok, I just caught half of the things you say, but I have to get up, I understand that much…thanks for taking care of the commission”
“No worries, I’ll go have breakfast…by the way, Where is Suji?”
“Miss Park for you, and she must be having breakfast with the staff”
“After she saved your son, did you fall in love with her or something?” Kyung Soo disappeared behind the bathroom door giving Baekhyun the middle finger.
                                                         ≠
Everybody was ready to start working on their chores when Kyung Soo appeared in the kitchen.
“At 1 o’clock, I need all of you here in the kitchen. We will hold a meeting and we will probably be over by 3 or 4 o’clock….sorry for the bother” No one asked anything. Everybody nodded and started working.
Suji was left dumbfounded. She asked Miss Dada what was going on. Her only answer was.
“It’s his way to protect us, so there aren’t witnesses” She said nothing more and left Suji standing in the middle of the kitchen.
Suji understood something that had been going around her mind for a while.
Everybody knew that what Kyung Soo did wasn’t exactly feed the poor. They knew it. And still, they accepted it. It was as if they were under some kind of Stockholm syndrome.
March 27th to March 29th
Before leaving the household that night. Suji needed to try something. If Kyung Soo already trusted her, he could at least tell her what was going in there. She already knew it. That was for granted. But hearing it from his mouth could be a good thing for the investigation.
She turned on the recording system on her computer and went to Do’s office. She knocked on the door, identifying herself, and he let her in.
The smile he gave her made her feel sure about what she was about to do. She spoke first.
“Mister Do, I will like to talk about something, it will be short” Kyung Soo adopted a serious stare, stiffing his back. He saw this coming.
“Go ahead then” Suji kept standing, even after Kyung Soo invited her to sit. After a long pause, she finally asked.
“What business do you have here?” She had Kyung Soo under a watchful eye. Looking for any sign that could tell her something.
“Why do you ask?”
“Some things are suspicious…and I want to know the dangers around me”
“For you there are no dangers, that I can promise” She tried to act more relaxed as if Kyung Soo’s words could calm her.
“Then what it is you…”
“Miss Park… ignorance is bliss, that’s my way to protect you” Suji understood his tone. No more questions allowed.
She muttered an ‘understood’, bowed and left the office.
                                        ≠
“So, Yoon, what do you want me to do with all the information you got the other day from Kyung Soo’s meeting?” Junmyeon’s voice was full of irony. Since Suji referred to him as an idiot, Junmyeon took that attitude, and Suji didn’t fall for it
“I want you guys to investigate every name that appeared there. Anything that calls your attention, investigate it. With a low profile of course” Suji could hear Chanyeol’s keyboard in some place of his lab, probably writing down Suji’s directions.
“Chanyeol! Come in front of the camera for a while please?” Junmyeon moved from his seat giving Chanyeol some space.
“Chanyeol, I need some new gadgets. Lately Kyung Soo has spent a lot of time talking on the phone, do you have something that could let me hear what is going on there?”
“I think…I do, but Suji…his house has some kind of antenna that provides a shield, so no one can intercept his phone calls”
“I know, but from the outside, what about the inside?” Chanyeol shrugged his shoulders and started searching for something on his computer. Suji went to the kitchen, fetched herself some pizza for breakfast and came back to her seat. Junmyeon disappeared from her screen, leaving only Chanyeol, who waited until Junmyeon left the room to talk to her.
“Suji, the other day the big boss came to talk to Junmyeon, asking for news about your mission”
“So?”
“Junmyeon had a little quarrel with him… She always does a perfect job!, he said, I don’t see why this sudden hurry!… He was quite mad” Suji munched his pizza, feeling quite grateful towards her boss. She always appreciated when someone defended her. Especially her boss.
“Still, this was sort of an easy mission…is taking you a while…you should start using the big weapons If you know what I mean”
“Shut the fuck up Chanyeol, I’m leaving, talk to you later” Suji unplugged the computer and kicked the trashcan next to her desk.
She already knew that. She had to hurry up. But Do’s business was a fortress, and it had all the necessary things to stay like that. Very few people were involved, no digital register, loyal co-workers, and people inside the police and inside the government. She was so wrong when she thought that this could be an easy mission.
March 30th to April 1th
Suji’s new toy was a dispositive called RFTS (Random frequency tracking system). The system was quite simple, it will capture every single call in a ratio that could be adapted by the user. In big investigations it could be very chaotic, a voice recognition system will be needed, and probably a team of 30 people that will sit there and listen to the calls, searching for the voice or conversation they needed. But in this case, she only needed an antenna with a reach of 20 meters. And the voice recognition was quite easy when only two people would talk at the same time under that roof.
But she couldn’t be stuck to her computer all the time waiting for a call, so she left the MacBook on and recording. Later Chanyeol or Minseok will edit the recordings.
                               ≠
Kyung Soo knew himself well enough to know that he was staring at Suji too much. He was expectant until another of her skills could come to the surface. Also, he found himself incredibly curious about what he could find under her long skirt. Since the beginning, she has been wearing long skirts that only showed her ankles and with the record he had about her, she was someone who worked out, so why hide her legs?
At the end of the day a man is a man, he thought. And thinking about something couldn’t kill.
“Sabotaro, maybe I should go visit Sara” The dog looked at him from the other side of the window with a stare that looked like a ‘whatever’. Kyung Soo was about to get up and get ready but a knock on his door stopped him.
“Come in”
“Mister Do, I’m going to clean the books”
“Sure, go ahead” Suji looked a bit lost, questioning Kyung Soo with her eyes.
“You will stay here?” He only nodded. She smiled at him briefly and got in with work.
Suji was silent. Too silent. Once in a while Kyung Soo had to look up from his book to check if Suji was still there. It took her three hours cleaning the first shelf. Skillfully she would get on top of a chair so she could reach the higher ledge. Kyung Soo gave a guilty, yet appreciative stare at her figure. He couldn’t get too much. Only the clear line of her waist, highlighted by her apron, and the obvious length of her legs.
“Mister Do, I quit my last job for this kind of thing” Kyung Soo knew immediately what she meant. Deny it was useless. So he only apologized.
“Ok, just…try not to do that again”
“Sure, I’m very sorry…may I change the subject?” Suji nodded and started cleaning the other shelf.
“You like reading Suji?”
“I do” Short answers made Kyung Soo anxious…and curious “What kind of books?”
“Spy novels, thrillers and…poetry” Kyung Soo smiled, a bit less anxious, but more curious.
“I have a lot of books like that, feel free to take them with you anytime you need it”
“Thank you, sir”
“What kind of poetry do you like?” Suji pursed her lips in a way that could be described as adorable, way too adorable.
“I like Japanese poetry…also Latin American writers”
“The bad thing is that because of the translation, you lose a lot of the meaning” Suji grinned as she kept working.
“That’s why I read them in their original language”
He was screwed. Damn, he had a thing for smart girls.
Some guys liked big boobs, some others had a thing for big butts. Kyung Soo had a thing for big brains. And bilingual brains were even better.
                                                             ≠
Kyung Soo took the first step. Suji felt like getting on her knees and thank God. Not that she believed in him, but she had to thank someone for that change of events.
Just when she was thinking about hurrying up, Kyung Soo decided to stay there while she cleaned the library. That was for sure some kind of kink. And then she finds him looking at her from behind his book, his eyes squinting. She had two options. Let it happen and later take advantage of it. Or face him, stopping him with some prude attitude. She went for the second one. She remembered reading something in Kyung Soo’s profile. Something like ‘He likes straightforward attitudes’.
Then he started asking about her book preferences. And she answered quite honestly. Reading was a good way to stay away from headaches in the middle of missions, so she always hid a copy of some favorite book next to her bullets. He kept asking questions, showing interest, which amused her.
Chanyeol would have to shut his mouth. Suji now had a short time goal.
By the end of the week, she would have Do Kyung Soo eating from her hand.
Hopefully.
The next day, after a day of work, she locked herself in her room. With the curtains closed and only the dim light of the computer screen. She checked some recordings, labeling them with the dates and time. After finishing that, she checked the microphones. Looking for some late-night activities. The ones from the office registered nothing. When she checked the ones from the library, she only perceived the noise of light steps. Then some books falling and lastly a high pitch noise that made her jump and take off her headphones.
The microphone. That noise was familiar to her. Coupler. The most probable reason; it fell from where it was hidden.
She got up from her bed and opened the door looking outside her room. All her neighbors were sleeping, and all the lights were off. She walked outside her room, across the hallway and the kitchen in her tiptoes, carefully, making no sound. All the other rooms were dark. And from Kyung Soo’s room, she could hear the shower running. Hopefully, he didn’t hear the noise. When she reached the library, she got scared for half a second when she saw something moving in the dark. She turned on the light and could only see the tail of a cat going out through an open window. On the floor were a couple of books and the bible that she used to hide the microphone. She lifted it from the floor and found the little black thing under it, shattered in several pieces.
“Fucking Christ” She cursed under her breath. She hid the little pieces in the pockets of her pants and started picking up the books from the floor. Once she was ready to leave, someone called her name.
“Suji?” Fuck. Suji shut her eyes, organizing the ideas in her mind. She pulled off a calm expression and turned around, meeting Kyung Soo’s questioning eyes.
“Sir, I’m sorry…I just came here looking for a book, I was having a bit of trouble sleeping, and I already finished all the books I brought…sorry If I bothered you”
“No, please, go ahead, pick whatever you want” Kyung Soo crossed her arms and walked closer, standing behind her. She got nervous, she hated that feeling, so she grabbed the first book she saw in front of her. An old version of Sherlock Holmes.
“A classic” Kyung Soo said, and Suji heard it too close to her ear.
“Yeah, never too old, now If you excuse me” Suji got ready to leave but Kyung Soo called her name again.
“Suji, tomorrow I need you to accompany me to the temple. I need to deliver some donations”
“Of course sir, whatever you need” Kyung Soo bowed at her, she responded with a similar bow and finally walked outside the room.
A triumphant smile crossed her face once she was finally back at her room.
April 2nd to April 3th
The art of seduction consisted of finding the weak points of the human being. And Kyung Soo’s was quite clear.
The man was full of repentance and guilt.
Suji could tell by the way he prayed at the temple and how familiar the priest was with him. She has seen it before. Men that did bad, begging to God for forgiveness.
She skipped the praying thing telling him that she didn’t believe in anything, only herself. That brought a smile to his face, and Suji knew she did well. She didn’t talk that much when they drove to the temple. Kyung Soo tried to bring a subject of conversation, but she only gave him short answers, giving very little information. Every answer brought another question, but only superficial subjects. He asked once about her family, to which Suji only answered with the truth that Chanyeol had prepared for her. Both parents died, no siblings and no grandparents. No family at all. That was easier to fake. A couple of death records, no necessity of hiring actors. Kyung Soo didn’t ask how her parents died, so she didn’t have to keep lying.
Kyung Soo was an orphan. Maybe that’s why Jongdae and Chanyeol decided to make her an orphan too. How Do’s parents died was clearly explained in Chanyeol’s report. Car accident. It was a pretty horrible accident from what she could see in the pictures. Kyung Soo was left with no family and a small heritage.
She felt a little bit bad for him.
But if his weakness was repentance and guilt she needed to find a way to tell him something like ‘It’s alright, you are a good guy’. The how was the tricky part.
How could she make him believe that she understood his situation and gain his trust when she supposedly didn’t know what his situation was?
Suji sighed and asked God for a cigarette. She blamed the strong smell of incense.
“Suji? I think I’m ready, sorry to interrupt your sleep” Suji opened her eyes and stared at him with a frown.
“I wasn’t sleeping, just enjoying the smell of the incense” As soon as her words left her lips, she realized how rude she sounded. She wanted to apologize, but he was smiling. He sat next to her, not looking angry at all towards his employee.
“Maybe we should grab something to eat at the…just a minute” His phone rang inside the pocket of his joggers, and as soon as he saw the screen he got up and walked some good 5 meters away from her. Having the RFTS now would have been very useful. He spoke for two short minutes and walked back where Suji was, clearly worried.
“We have to leave, come on” Suji didn’t ask a thing, only followed obediently and got into the car.
Kyung Soo walked inside the backroom of a bar in Dongdaemun flanked by two of his guys. His frown stayed deep and dark, and his hands in his pockets gave away a very unfriendly look.
Inside the room were two guys, standing next to the window. One of them tall, built and with a frown as deep as Kyung Soo’s. The other one was as tall as his companion but less built, and his brows were raised in worry.
“Good afternoon gentlemen” Both of them stared at Kyung Soo and only one of them walked in his direction.
“Mister Do, long time no see”
“It's nice to see you again Mister Go, sadly, under these circumstances” Kyung Soo shook his hand and patted his shoulder, giving him a warm smile.
Go’s was Kyung Soo’s eyes and ears in the police department of Dongdaemun. A single man in his early 40ths, with a love for money but not so much love towards his work. Kyung Soo got to have him on his side thank to a very good monthly pay. It was really worth it though, Dongdaemun was the place with more customers, and if any weird rumor about him started going around the police station, Mister Go would make it disappear. The call Kyung Soo got hours ago was him doing his job.
“This is Mister Kang, works at the department, and don’t ask me how, but he had proofs about your business. I already confiscated them, but he is ready to talk” Kyung Soo walked toward him and bowed. The guy didn’t answer but looked quite dumbfounded.
“Mister Kang, please sit down, let’s have a nice talk…sit down, please…I’m very curious, how did you find out about my business?” The man did not answer.
“Kang! Talk, I’m warning you!” Go’s voice sounded less friendly. Kyung Soo said nothing but saw how his head lowered.
“Did someone say something to you? Someone from inside my group? Maybe a customer?” No answer.
“Let me see, if you put together all that information by yourself you must have a strong reason to investigate me…you’re a cop, but this is beyond duty right?” He nodded but didn’t look at Kyung Soo.
“Beyond duty uh?...revenge?” Kang got up from his seat and tried to reach him with his hands, but immediately he had two guys bringing him back to his seat by the shoulders. His attitude showed him that was the reason. Revenge. He could understand that.
“Did I do something to someone close to you?”
“You did”
“Please tell me” Kang’s stare made Kyung Soo feel sick. A strong nausea hit him when he saw the hate in his eyes.
“You fucking bastard killed my brother” Kyung Soo went through all the people he had to make disappear, but there was no memory of a Kang.
“I didn’t”
“You did, my brother died with a syringe in his arm, weighing 25 kilos and with nothing more than a blanket and a bag of crystal meth…I did some research, and his dealer bought the drugs from you” Kyung Soo swallowed that feeling that was building in his throat and adopted the cynic attitude he needed to show in this kind of situations.
“So, in your head…, I’m the one who killed your brother”
“You did, fucking bastard”
“I see, and tell me, how did your brother reach that situation? 25 kilos? And you didn’t realize he had a problem?” Kang didn’t answer.
“He was clearly addicted, but let’s take a minute to think about how he reached that state…tell me Mister Kang, why did you let that happen?”
“Don’t try to…” Kyung Soo’s voice was calm and low, he knew how annoying and terrifying it could be.
“I will, you are blaming me for something that I didn’t do, I have to defend myself. I did not kill your brother, you didn’t kill your brother, he killed himself…although I cannot deny that you should have done something to stop it” He tried to move from his seat, but Kyung Soo’s guys didn’t allow him.
“We did!”
“What, you guys told him to stop doing drugs, put him into rehab and what? Let the doctors do their magic?”
“He was a normal kid! He was a smart kid! A happy kid!”
“Was he?...Mister Kang, was your brother a happy kid?...” He stared at the man, who now looked a lot less angry. His face was now crossed by pain. Sudden realization maybe.
Kyung Soo exhaled a long sigh and rested his arms on top of the table “So, this is what is going to happen. I know that you still have copies of all the proof against me, and we have your testimony, which I think, can bring me some kind of trouble…I don’t like trouble…I know how to fight trouble, so I know how to fight you” Kyung Soo opened a folder that one of his guys handed him and looked at it for a while.
“Two daughters?...” Kang reacted as electrified, the two guys holding him could barely keep him in place “Don’t touch my girls!”
“I will never…but what about Tae Mi…your wife”
“Stay away from them!” Kyung Soo stood up, took the folder with him and went to stand next to him.
“I will, If you don’t mess with me” Kang lowered his head, nodded and whispered an ‘understood’.
That was it. Kyung Soo walked outside the room.
This time there were no deaths. Hopefully.
Suji took advantage of Kyung Soo’s absence. He called the house saying he would be back late. And since everyone was in the living room watching TV, she walked across the garden and got into his room with two microphones in her pockets.
She had already installed one under his bed. Maybe the acoustic wouldn’t be the best, but at least she knew he wouldn’t stick his head under his bed.
For the second microphone, she still wasn’t very sure about where to put it. One option was a small architectural detail on top of his bed…but it was too small, a small movement could drop the gadget. The other option was the ceiling lamp, which was a very good place, but it was pretty high and she would need a stair, maybe two meters, doing it by herself would be almost impossible.
Just when a third-place appeared in her sight, someone opened the bedroom door. She hid the microphone in her pocket and waited for whoever was, to get inside.
Her eyes met Kyung Soo’s, and no excuse came to her mind. “Sir…”
“Don’t say a word” He walked until he was close to her, too close. He grabbed her wrist and pushed her on top of the bed. Suji was suddenly terrified, but not for his actions. She was terrified because she didn’t know what to do. She was completely unprepared.
He didn’t look mad, but there was something in his stare.
“Take off your sweater” He ordered.
“Excuse me, sir?”
“You hear me, do it” Suji thought about resisting, but her instinct told her not to do it. She met Kyung Soo’s eyes again and she could see what he thought she was doing there.
And it was a misunderstanding.
A very useful misunderstanding.
This wasn’t going to be the first nor the last time that she will need to do this for a mission.

In 2019, I made a goal to start putting my content skills to better use. Giving a home to the photos that overload my phone and getting my crazy thoughts out of my head. ( the thoughts include swear words. Consider this your WARNING! Sorry Mum!)
For those that don’t know me, I am Jennifa, a thirtyish gypsy who recently moved to from Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia. My partner got his dream job, so we decided to move our two children across the country on the pursuit of happiness and Cannabis.
I have the privilege of having too much time on my hands, having quit my job to stay home with my babies. This has given me the opportunity to explore my new city, talk to  random strangers and see cool shit.
9 THINGS THAT HAVE STOOD OUT TO SOME RANDOM GIRL FROM ONTARIO.
9 – EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT YET THE SAME-
I feel like I did TONS of research, on what it takes to move 4 people from point A to point B. I took into consideration normal things, I believed would come in handy. From finding a new home, registering my kid in school, Insurance, ETC. But nothing will ever prepare you, for feeling like a complete moron, getting lost 24/7 and causing a lot of scenes.
For the record, I would like to say I am medium in the planning and organizing department. I really, really try, but sometimes I fall short in this department of being an adult.
So, I may have overlooked a few things in the move….Such as the first day of school. For the record no one directly told me the date . And I know you are thinking, “isn’t that important Information”?! Well it is, but I assumed it would be the same. The day after labour day, Kids across the country go to school.
We showed up at school bright and early, on time . For a tiny second, I was proud of us… WRONG DAY. A teacher in the parking lot; told us, school in fact started the next day. The Wednesday after the LABOUR DAY!
This moment will never be forgotten. As much as you can plan every detail of life, you can miss somethings. We need to have space in our life for these moments. We need to laugh at the fuck up and move on. Lesson learned. TRIPLE CHECK DATES. WRITE THAT SHIT DOWN. BE A GOOD GROWN-UP!
The Maritimes is a very distinct place in Canada. They have a different landscape, culture, weather, attitude. When we left Ontario, I didn’t realize we were leaving a huge part of what we were comfortable doing. Our brains in “autopilot”.
I can now say, things have settled down and I am in the driver seat ready for what is next.  Change is good, we just need to be open and I don’t get lost as much.
8-LAND OF THE DOUBLE DOUBLE-
Tim Horton, must have been from Nova Scotia.
I think all Canadians love the coffee of our homeland. Tim’s is even MORE loved here. The Scotians, have additional language for their coffees. This is something, I have not even experienced in Orillia, ON, (which I thought was the Tim Horton Capital)
So I think, we all know a DOUBLE, DOUBLE and TRIPLE, TRIPLE…
HAVE YOU HEARD of the DOUBLE SINGLE?
Two cream, one sugar. WORD…
7-DONAIR-
Nova scotia loves donair. FYI: Donair is a meat. You can find in a wrap, on a plate,  pizza, or egg roll. I have even seen on a DONAIR cupcake on TV. (I am just really into the sauce. It comes in a CUP!
DONAIR SAUCE goes with the meat. It’s soooo fucking good. Dipping pizza in it….is LIFE CHANGING.
I am currently on a pizza jurney, ordering pizza from a new shop each chance I get. There are a TON of pizza shops. All privately owned and amazing!!!! I would not even eat dominos again, if you paid for it.
6- PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY NICE-
Soo, what the FUCK is your problem ONTARIO?!  Just kidding 😆
Get this, random people will smile and say hello to you in the streets, elevator and stores. EVEN if they don’t know YOU!!!! Crazy right!?
I can sense that people genuinely care about each here, they are nice, just because. There is no reason, no motive. They are just KIND. It’s a simple fact that the entire province, loves the Pittsburgh Penguins, only because Mr. Crosby is the CAPTAIN.
I guess I feel the warmth of the people, because I am loner. You know those weird people that talk to you for no reason in public. And you think…whhhyyyy me?! Well, I have become that annoying person…
Lucky for me, people enjoy having random conversations about nothing all the time. They will even start one with me out of nowhere, it does help my baby is the cutest ever.People have been so kind to me,
I make friends all the time. Especially when I take the bus; simple smiles and conversations. It is nice to be acknowledged by someone. It can turn a really annoying long bus ride with an out of control toddler, into bearable.
Without going too deep, maybe you have felt this if you have lost someone. When I talk to a Senior; that would’ve been my grandparents age. I feel them with me. That connection may seem crazy, but it helps with being homesick in a weird way.
So, talk to weird-o’s, like me and the 90-year-old at the grocery store, because you should. WHY NOT? Are you to cool to to talk about nothing?
5-WEATHER-
I have become an avid weather watcher these days. The weather predictions here are very accurate for the most part, thank you CTV Atlantic. When they say it’s going to rain like crazy… it rains HARD and at almost the exact time they say it will. You actually need to purchase proper equipment to handle the weather here. Like umbrellas and raincoats!
As for the winter, I was warned from everyone about it. WELL , I am still waiting for the bad shit to arrive. I mean it is wintery but nowhere near as bad as I thought, (I have most likely cursed myself). Or being from the Snow belt of Ontario has really prepared me to face CANADIAN WINTERS.
I have a feeling this bad winter weather curse, is really a trick to keep the others out.  Ssshhh don’t tell anyone.  Apparently, it is longer, then Ontario’s but we will see, it is March.
New Brunswick, different story. Go there for the SNOW! And a true CANADIAN winter if you DARE.
4-CULTURE!!!!!-
NO offence, Barrie, but culture does not really exist here.  I mean, you try. However, you will always be to me, the white trash capital of Ontario. I can say this, because I am from HERE. I escaped, but Barrie has shaped me into the white trash gypsy I am today. And for the record, in my new chapter, I say I am from, North of TORONTO.  It’s weird because a lot of people know, Barrie too well. So it will never leave me.
Now back to CULTURE, it’s very beautiful to see all different types of people, cultures living in one place. I love it. I love to people watch (not stare), and I truly believe our differences can really bring us closer.
My son has more knowledge of other cultures than I ever did, till maybe University (I was dumb). At almost 8 years old. My son has a classroom of friends that speak languages, other than English. The children learn and grow together and share about their faiths and cultures. My son knows, that some people believe in Allah, as their god. And some families speak Arabic at home, or Mandarin.
FACT: Our friend just celebrated the Lunar New year. The school shared the importance removing “Chinese” from the phrase. This is because in fact many Asian cultures celebrated this holiday, not just CHINA. DUH!
mind blown…Barrie Jennifa says THANK YOU!!!!!
3-CANADA’S WORST DRIVERS LIVE HERE-
They really do, me included. A lot of the drivers  make me look good on a regular basis. I tend to naturally drive like a 98 year old  with road rage. The things I have seen, keep it real and hands are always at ten and two.
The roundabouts are interesting for me, considering Park Place is a mini roundabout; and my only first hand experience. I have had to learn how these “real” roundabouts go. I believe the best way to approach them, is the “follower” approach and copy the car directly beside you .( if you can) And yell OH FUCK , WHILE you do it. You should be fine.
Highways: the exit lanes are the same as the entrance lanes here…and NO lights , it’s dark. 😒
It seems for the most part, people do what they want, when they want while driving motorized vehicles. SO move bitch, get out the WAY!
2- CANADA IS BEAUTIFUL-
Duhh, right… I honestly had not seen the true beauty of Canada, until recently. I mean Ontario, is pretty medium when you compare it, to what’s on either side if the coast. Before this past summer I had never made it past the Eastern Townships in Quebec.  FUN FACT: The first time I ever visited the East coast, was when I moved my family here in August.
The east coast is stunning, I try and capture the landscape, my phone can’t even do it justice. The historical and environmental views can take your breath away. Literally, its’ windy as fuck here.
I love this amazing country even more, I feel prouder to be Canadian in a non-weird cheesy way. Having had the opportunity to see and show my children the other provinces that make up our great country. New Brunswick, PEI, I see you other beautiful places. (NFND to come)
Grade 9 geography comes to life, it’s magical. I encourage ALL CANADIANS to travel within our country;  at one point in your life. You will not be disappointed.
1-CALL YOUR MUM , DAD, FRIEND……FIRST!!! –
Don’t wait for them to call or message because it’s not your turn or whatever bullshit you feed yourself.
I did it too, trust me. I actually don’t really like talking on the phone, it can be annoying. Hearing someone’s voice you love, is something very special.  It has taken me a move across the country, to stop being an asshole and pick up the dang phone from time to time
When you think of someone you love, I believe, it is the universe telling that you are lucky enough to have these amazing people in your life. Like your Best friend or Mum. There are so many ways to connect but we are lazy or just waiting for the other person to do it, but they are waiting for YOU!
An unexpected text or phone call from an old friend is a magical thing. It makes your heart smile and can change your day or even week. We live at a time with greatest ability to connect to the people we love, however, many of us feel lonely.  Stop being an asshole and call your mum, I know she would love to hear your voice.
Events happen in our journeys at different time for different reasons. I am very grateful for where my journey has taken me and looking forward to what is next.
I am accepting new friend applications- HOLLA At your girl – MUST LIVE IN NOVA-
.the nova way. In 2019, I made a goal to start putting my content skills to better use. Giving a home to the photos that overload my phone and getting my crazy thoughts out of my head.

Just One Summer (3)
↠Chapter 3, Connections?↞
⋯⋘Y/N pov⋙⋯
I just sat on the chair while reading Journal 3 again. I looked up and watched Dipper and Mabel having a syrup fight... Or is it race? Mabel won but she ended up coughing it out, cause, you know... Syrup and all. Dipper was a little upset that he had lost, but then proceeded to look at a particular page in the newspaper on the dining table.
"Woah, ho.. No way! Hey, check this out! Dipper said to Mabel. I was curious so I got up and sat beside him, looking at what they were looking at.
"Human-sized hamster ball?! Omg! I'm human sized!" Mabel exclaimed after looking at it. I giggled at her.
"We're all human sized, Mabel," I told her, while trying to hold in a few giggles.
"No, no, no. This. We see weirder stuff everyday!" Dipper said, pointing at a page. Oh hey, a page on a photo contest on weird creatures. This is gonna be fun! I clapped my hands cheerfully as I nodded.
"Eh, and I have his beard hair!" Mabel said, taking out Jeff's Beard's hair. Dipper backed away in disgust.
"Ugh, why did you save that?" he asked. Mabel replied with a shrug.
"Oh, give that to me!" I said, reaching out for the beard hair.
"Ewww, why do you want it, Y/N?" dipper asked me, making a face while Mabel gave it to me.
"For further investigation, silly!" I said as I kept it in a small zip lock bag.
"Oh well, kids, do you know what day it is?" Grunkle Stan asked us. I replied with a shrug.
"Uh... April fools?"
"Squakle top!(I think that's what she said :v)"
"Eh, it's family fun day, genius!"
"Grunkle Stan, is this gonna be like our last family bonding day?" Dipper asked. I shivered at the memory.
─Flashback─
We were all sitting around a table, painting fake money on green paper. Until the police caught us, that is. We were thrown in the county jail.
─Back to present─
Mabel shivers.
"Ugh... The county jail was so cold..." she said. I nodded in response.
"Eh, I know I haven't been the best summer caretaker but I'm sure you'll be okay. Now, who wants to put on some blind folds and get into my car?!"
"Yay!" all three of us exclaimed.
"Wait, what?" Dipper and I asked. We put on some blind folds and actually get into Stan's car.
⋯↣Time skip cause idk and I can't seem to catch the words that they are saying in the episode... This video quality SUCKS↢⋯
"Grunkle Stan, are you wearing a blind fold too?" Dipper asked, as the car was bumping around. After a while, the car crashes into... Something... And we all scream. And not long after that, we were pulled out of the car with our blind folds still on.
"Okay, okay, you can take them off now," Grunkle Stan says and we take off our blind folds.
"Oh my gosh! I had forgotten all about fishing season!! I still remember the last time we came together, grunkle Stan," I said as I tried to stifle in a giggle.
─Flashback─
"Ahh! Y/N help! I'm sinking!" grunkle Stan yelped as he tried to swim back up. I just stared at him a started to laugh, then I threw a life bouy (how the crap do you spell it..?!) at him. I watched him struggle as he tried to get back up. I then pulled the string which was tied onto it and I brought both of us back to land.
"I didn't know you couldn't swim!!" I said as a laugh escaped my mouth. Not long after, I found myself rolling on the ground, laughing and crying while clutching onto my stomach. Grunkle Stan watched me, unamused. He then went into the car and I rushed in. We both went back to the shack.
─End of Flashback─
"Hey, it wasn't that funny. And you're still doing the same thing as if it had happened again," he said to me, giving me a playful death glare. I was rolling on the ground while remembering the entire scene, laughing my eyes out. Dipper just looked at me and Mabel, weirded out while Mabel just laughed along with me with no clue on what's going on.
"So, who's up for a day of family fun?!" Grunkle Stan exclaimed, while holding 4 fishing rods in his hands. Dipper, Mabel and I looked at each other, unsure if we should go or not.
"He really wants to go fishing with us," Mabel said, looking at Grunkle Stan.
"Well, I think he d-" I said before I was cut of, rudely, by someone.
"I'VE SEEN IT! I'VE SEEN IT AGAIN!" Old Mcgucket exclaimed.
"Seen what?" Dipper asked.
"I've seen the Gobblewonker again! This time I've got proof!" he said, doing a small jig... Dance... Whatever...
"Aww! He's doing a happy jig!" Mabel said.
"It's not a happy jig! It's a jig of terror! I will show you proof!" he said, leading us to a broken boat.
"Behold! Its mighty tail has crushed my jiggly boat apart!(lol I made this up cause I don't remember, and I don't care LOL)" he exclaimed, pointing at a crushed boat.
─Time skip to when they are at Scuttlebutt Island cause Author Chan here is a lazy butt with a forgetful memory─
(Btw, it's still your POV)
"Woah... This... This is incredible!" Dipper said, as he stepped out of soos' boat, walking around with a lantern in his hand. We took Soos' boat to come to Scuttlebutt Island.
I hummed in response, nodding a bit with my head in journal 3. I was trying to look for a page with information on the Gobblewonker, but sadly not finding anything. I snapped the book shut and looked up. We were on an island where everything is foggy and we could barely see. Dipper was the only one holding a light source. I sighed and rummaged through my bag, looking for a torchlight of some sort. I managed to actually find 3 in my backpack. Huh. Actually, it was just one torchlight, a flamethrower, and a lamp... I don't even know where I got the flamethrower. I took out the lamp and zipped up my bag. So now we have 2 light sources on us.
"You never told us you had a lamp on you too," Dipper said, his eyes narrowing at me. I rolled my eyes and focused on where we were going.
"Haha! Look, if we cover out Scuttle, you can see Butt! Butt Island!" Soos said, covering the "scuttle" from "scuttlebutt". He and Mabel laughed at that little joke.
"Guys! Take this seriously! We can split the prize up to 3 parts! WE are doing this TOGETHER!" I yelled at them, which shushed them up. We then made our way, aimlessly walking forwards.
"My name is Mabel, it rhymes with table. It also rhymes with.. Able. It also rhymes with... Shmabel!" Mabel said, as we all walked. Soos was behind her, making some rapping noise(idk what that is :T).
"Dude, you should be writing that down!" Soos said before we heard a noise coming from the distance.
"Guys... Shush. Listen," Dipper said, as he grabbed my lamp, since his one was taken by a squirrel earlier on the way.
"Hey! That's mine!" I said as I took the lamp back, and shone it at where we had heard the noise coming from. I stepped in front of the three of them and headed closer to the noise. We managed to see a figure which looked like a monster. A smile twitched on my mouth as we got closer, but slowly changed into a frown as we got close enough. It was just a wooden structure, with beavers on it. They must be made this.
"B-but... What about the sound that we heard...?" Dipper asked, a frown on his used-to-be excited face. We heard it again and turned to see it. But it was just a Beaver with a chainsaw. The chainsaw was making all the noise. Dipper and I sighed in defeat, at the same time. And that's when I heard something in the water. My head shot up to look for where that came from and that's when I was Dipper looking at something in the water. My eyes sparkled in excitement as I took out my camera. I quickly took a good pic of it and I hugged the camera. Dipper was taking multiple pictures of it. That's when we turned to look at Mabel and Soos.
"Guys! I've got a good picture of it!!" I exclaimed, jumping around.
"U-uh... We... We have to g-go..." Soos said as he gestured Dipper and I to follow him. Dipper and I looked at each other and made a face saying what-why-what's-wrong? That's when we felt the ground Shake.
"Dudes, we gotta run!!" Soos said, as he and Mabel started to back away, eventually running. I turned around and saw the Gobblewonker ON LAND, about to EAT us. I quickly shot up and grabbed Dipper's hand. His hand is so soft.... No! Do NOT like him! He's so rude to you!! I shook the thought off my head and I dragged him while I ran. He was struggling to get my hand off his, yelling at me to let go. Well, does he want to suffer? He seems like he wants to. I let go of him and stood there as I watched him fall. The Gobblewonker got closer to us as I just stood there and watched Dipper blankly. I started to space out when I heard the gobblewonker growl, that's when it snapped me back to my senses and I freaked out a bit before helping Dipper out and both of us ran. Well, I ran. I was carrying him on my back for some reason.
"Soos!! Help me out here!" I yelled over to Soos. He turned and picked both of us up. My camera was starting to slip out of my pocket.
"No!" I pushed Dipper off me and he responded with a groan, then ran beside us. I managed to keep the camera with me and a sighed in relief. I saw Dipper was far behind us and he was near the Gobblewonker, so I jumped out if Soos' grasp and helped him.
"Your welcome, now I just wish we are at the boat already!" I said, then suddenly, all four of us were at the boat. Before anyone could speak, I cut them.
"Soos! Move, now! GO GO GO!!!" I said, pointing at the other direction as the Gobblewonker got closer.
─Another time skip cause Author Chan is so lazy haha─
(you guys have to watch the entire episode cause I'm not gonna write a lot on that, but about something to do with the teleportation thingy. So... Ye. Now, the time skip is skip to when everyone is back at the shack)
"Haha! That was a LOT of fun!" I said, plopping on my bed.
"I have SO many pictures! Still have one pic of the Gobblewonker machine tho. I know exactly where to keep it!" I said, as I took out a scrapbook. I flipped to an empty page and pasted the pictures on it.
"Oh hey! I have a scrapbook too!!" Mabel exclaimed as she took out hers. Mine was filled with lots of memories from my previous summers. The first summer with Grunkle Stan, and many with my.. Parents. And a few of me having fun alone after the little incident. Mabel's was filled with a few pictures of when they arrived here. It's quite new to be honest. Mine is an old one. I had it since I was six. That's when I started to go on monster hunts. I gave a happy sigh as I flipped through my pages, tearing up at a few. Mabel noticed my tears.
"Y/N, what's wrong?" Mabel asked me. I looked up and she had a concerned happy face. I decided that it was about time I told them.
"Well... I guess I have to tell you everything, huh?" I looked down a bit. When I looked up again, Mabel and Dipper were sitting next to either side of me. Dipper was much closer to me now. My face flushed a bit red as I started to tell them my life. I flipped through each page of my scrapbook as I told them.
"Well, I've lived here in Gravity Falls all my life. My parents were monster hunters. They were extremely enthusiastic about it. It was their main job. Of course they had their own jobs to earn money and all for us. When I was six, they decided to take me on my first monster hunt. Back then, I was a girl who is full of mystery. I was a good schooler to be really honest. I still have my trophy collection in my old house before I met Stan. My most prized possession was this.." I said, walking over to under Dipper's bed and took out a box. They watched me curiously as I opened it. I took out a small mechanic. It looked like a camera, and it kinda was.
"This... This was my first invention. It was for my school science fair when I was 9. I was the so called smartest kid in the school and everyone adored me. My parents were really proud. It's called a camera bag. It's a camera which you can put the pictures that you take with it in. Heh, I still use it even now. I don't want to bother to throw it away," I put the camera bag away as I went back to telling them about my parents.
"My parents were really kind people. Our family was called 'The Mysteries' cause the three of us would go into the woods at night for monster hunts. One day, when I was 11, we were out on a monster hunt again. We were looking for that bear with lots of heads. Heh, it was a nice creature. That's when we bumped into a three headed dragon. It started attacking us. My father had given me a crossbow and arrow, a sword and pepper spray. I brought all three items along that particular night.." Dipper's eyes widened at the part where I mentioned a three headed dragon.
"The dragon... He... I was the only one of the three of us who survived... M-my parents were killed and eaten up by it... I watched the Dragon eat them. I watched them... I saw that they had dropped their things and the most important thing that we always brought on each of our monster hunts. The magic dust. I quickly sprinkled some on me and I became invisible, so I took the chance and took my parents things and ran back home. I locked every door, every window. I came home and I was really bloody because... The dragon.. Yeah.. You know... I had wounds on my body. Heck I still have a number of scars from that incident! I never went on another monster hunt after that. That's when your Grunkle found me..-" Mabel cut me off.
"That.. That was terrible! Wait, grunkle Stan found you?"
"Yeah.. Now. You want me to continue or not?"
"Yeah, go on."
"Well, I was sitting by the Gravity Falls Lake, thinking about the incident AGAIN. That's when I saw someone heading my way. I approached him and I asked him if he had any food. Apparently, I had used up all the food supplies I had at home so I needed to eat. It had been 2 weeks since I had eaten. But I still had water. Water from that lake that is. He was like "eh" and brought me to the mystery shack. He asked me what I was doing out there alone and I explained the whole thing to him. He took me in as his great grand daughter. Ever since then, I worked and stayed with him. It all happened last year. Heh.. And now that you two came, I can finally feel like I have an actual family..." I said, closing my scrapbook with tears in my eyes. I looked at the twins who were on at the verge of crying and Mabel gave me a tight hug. Dipper stayed there and he didn't have anything to say. He just turned and didn't look at me.
"I-i'm so sorry, Y/N.. I never knew..." Mabel said, who was now bawling on my back. I pat hers and tried to shush her.
"Hush, Mabel. It's okay. I'm over it now," I said, as a tear rolled down my cheek. Guess I have something to look up to now.
TO BE CONTINUED MUAHAHAHA!

Chapter 7
From birth, the new generation has been forced to follow the new regime. There were only two basic laws to follow; do not disobey the regime and, you are to live with & only love the person that matches your serial number. But for Jungkook & (Y/N) that was never an option. They never agreed with the new regime and now there’s a reason for both of them to fight back.

Seung Jo placed Jungkook in front of a black computer monitor and spoke, “You have 60 seconds to figure out how to get the computer monitor up and running.” “Wait what?” “GO!” Jungkook’s hand start sweating as he began looking around the computer monitor trying to see if there were any loose cords, “Seung-Jo, I-I don’t know anything about this.” “You’re wasting time.” “N-no I’m serious, I really-” “Time’s up.” Seung Jo hit Jungkook in the back of his head and reached over towards the computer monitor, plugging it into an outlet where it proceeded to turn on. “I never said the monitor was broken. When in war you must always observe your surroundings. Follow me.” He unplugged the monitor and walked towards the other end of them the room where a working computer sat, “This computer has a virus, you have 2 minutes before it reaches the core and erases all our files. Fix it.” Jimin breezed through his tasks very easily, he was asked to explain components on medical labels and what they did to the body; if they helped and if so how much help they gave. His final task was being put to practice. “We have two men coming back from a heist and one of them has a deep cut that YOU will treat.” “HUH?!” Suddenly a groaning man came limping in with his colleague helping him, “he got caught in one of those meat cutter things. I did as much as I could but he’s losing a lot of blood.” Jimin nodded, knowing that he had to keep calm. His cousin was studying nursing and while he didn’t get to visit him that much, the few times he did he would always learn something new. His cousin would always remind him how doctors and nurses had to always keep calm because if they didn’t then their patient might get worse. He forced his hands to steady themselves, “I need some type of cloth or rope, anything to cut off his circulation or he’ll keep bleeding to death.” Quickly Myung-Soo found a long piece of rope and handed it to Jimin where he proceeded to tie a makeshift tourniquet around the cut up area. “We’re gonna need some type of alcohol, gloves, and someone to do the stitching. Oh… and towels. And maybe some vodka.” “For numbing?” “Yeah sure, for that too.” Once the material was presented to Jimin he took a drink from the bottle of rum and handed some of it to the injured man, “Drink, you’ll need all the courage juice you can get.” The injured man nodded and took a big gulp of the beverage. Jimin dumped some of the contents of the bottle onto the man’s wounds and cleaned it up with pieces of ripped up cloth. A small young man stepped in to help with the stitching and 10-15 minutes later they were all done. Jimin stood up and walked to the far end of the room. He stood there for a while trying to understand what he had just done, shaking his head in disbelief. A soft hand on his shoulder made him jump. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you. I just wanted to tell you that you did great. Yun-Do really appreciates it.”
“A nerf-gun, you’re serious?” “We don’t know how you handle a weapon and we can’t spare ammo for amateur shooters.” Taehyung took the other toy gun and stood at the far end of the room, “Try to shoot me.” (Y/N) held her gun in position, aiming directly at Taehyung’s head; before she could shoot she felt two small objects hit her shins. Looking down she saw two small nerf darts sticking onto her body. “What the hell?!” “In combat, you won’t have time to position yourself; you either shoot or get shot.” He made his way back to her to retrieve the small darts and headed back to his spot. (Y/N) grew frustrated and nodded. She waited for Taehyung to make a movement with his gun and as soon as he did, she sprinted towards the other side of the room, not having shot a single dart at him. She went behind a black trash bin where she would obviously be found but, she wasn’t hiding. She was waiting. Her ears picked up on empty clicks; he was out of ammo. Quickly she ran from her spot and shot three times. One of the darts missed but the other two landed on his body; one on his arm and the other on his chest. (Y/N) didn’t notice how heavily she was breathing but instead on her tactics. She smiled and went to grab her darts but she was stopped. “Not too bad-” Taehyung said as he walked up to her and dropped the darts at her feet, walking away to pick up his own. “-In battle it won’t be as easy. Let’s go.”
The three continued in their respective training fields for about an hour or so before each member brought them back to Jackson. “Reports?” “Jungkook did awful. He’s not fit in the technological area. The only thing he managed to pick up on was being aware of his surroundings, aside from that he’s not useful in my area.” “Jimin did great; he knows how to identify medicine and their usage. He also patched up someone that came in from their heist.” “Someone got injured? How bad was it?” Jackson asked with concern coating his words. “Not too bad. Like I said Jimin patched him up and I checked on him later on to make sure he was good. He’s fine.” “And how about our female runaway? Taehyung, report?” “She did fine.” Jackson nodded, understanding his friend’s way of expressing himself. “Well now you’ll all switch. Jimin in tech, (Y/N) in medical and Jungkook in guns. Go.” They spent the next 3 hours training and switching amongst the three teams. The final part of training had arrived and they met up once again with Jackson, only this time they met up in the pit which to their surprise was empty. “Where is everyone?” “Don’t worry about them. You’ll know where they are once you get assigned. This is the final part of training and assessment. We need to know how strong you are and if you can handle hand-to-hand combat. The three of you will face three fighters. First someone of your size, second someone slightly bigger and thirdly, me.” Hoseok walked down the steps with a new face following behind him. They both stood next to Jackson as he said, “I’ll let you guys choose who goes first.” “I’ll do it.” (Y/N) responded without hesitation. Jungkook grabbed her arm, “wait, you can’t g-” “Let go.” She shook his grip off of her arm harshly and stepped towards the middle of the room where a poorly drawn circle was placed to separate the “fighting area” from the regular. She took a small hair tie from her wrist and put her hair up in a tight ponytail. The new face joined her in the “fighting area”, him having almost her same height and weight. He lunged towards her, his arms extending to grab her waist. She quickly stepped back and spun around maneuvering her way to his side of the circle where she proceeded to elbow him in his side. He quickly recovered from her blow and grabbed her hand, pulling her past his back and onto the ground. However she didn’t plan on giving up so quickly. As he went to punch her in the face she used her legs to catch his face in between them, she grabbed his arm and forced him into headlock with his face in between her thighs and his arm in her hands, stuck in a position where she could break it. Truthfully she didn’t know she was good at dodging moves, in her mind it was all pure luck and anger. “Alright you can let him go.” Jackson said. “Nice moves princess. I’m Hoon-Yi and by the way… I wouldn’t mind you teaching me how to do that headlock.” (Y/N) smiled and nodded, bumping fists with the still Hoon-Yi while stepping out of the ring. The three made it past the first round with ease, having slight struggle but managing to pin down opponents within the first 5 minutes. The second round was where things got harder. Jimin & Jungkook managed to win in 10 minutes but they were both left breathless, with bruises on their faces and bodies. (Y/N) struggled the most and also took the longest (13 minutes) to take down Hoseok. Everyone caught on to her tactics; she never fought, only dodged and disarmed but yet she managed to beat her opponent with little to no wounds on her body or face. The atmosphere between the three friends was tense as now it was evident that Jungkook & (Y/N) were not on the same page anymore. She had ignored his offer to help her and was refusing to look in his direction. He was hurt and confused but he had to keep training. Jackson stepped into the ring and just as Jungkook was about to join him, he held his hand up. “I’m choosing now. I want her to come in first.” (Y/N) looked up and nodded, brushing past the two boys as she stepped into the ring. “I want to tell you something before we begin. If you fight with anger, you’ll never win. It clouds judgement.” “Thanks Buda. I’ll keep it in mind.” The two began their fight and as expected she was doing a great job at dodging his moves, while fighting Jackson yelled out, “Stop dodging and take me down! Hit me!” (Y/N) ignored his words and continued to dodge his moves. She kept going until she felt a strong object come in contact with her face; her hand moved up to her face as her body collided with the harsh ground. “Get up and keep going. You like dodging so much? Let’s see how well you do it while you’re in pain. You can’t keep avoiding a hit. You’ll have to hit me eventually. Don’t wanna do it now? That’s fine; we’ll see how much pain you can endure before fighting back.” (Y/N) stood up, rage filling her body. She lunged herself at Jackson completely forgetting what he had told her initially; if you fight with anger, you’ll never win. He was beating her senselessly, throwing her onto the ground, kicking her and knocking the air out of her. It wasn’t until she spat out blood that he decided she had enough. “No.” “What?” “I said no, I’m not done. One more fight, just one.” “Sweetheart, you haven’t gotten in a single punch and you want to keep going? Learn your boundaries.” “Jackson, just one more fight. Then I’m done.” “Fine. One more.” This time (Y/N) pushed her anger aside and memorized the tactics Jackson had used, of course it was difficult since he changed it up quite frequently but she managed to figure out a pattern. Finding a free spot was hard, especially with him knocking the air out of her with his fist colliding on her stomach but she found it. Her fist quickly came into contact with his cheek and they both fell backwards. Jackson caught himself and managed to stay upright but (Y/N) yet again collided onto the floor. She laughed slightly and sat up weakly. Jackson smirked and nodded at her, letting her know that she had done a good job. “Jungkook, come on. You’re next.” The two men went at it for a while, both delivering good hits but managing to stay up. However, Jungkook was no match for Jackson; he had far more training, is body was far more muscular and, he was much wiser. Jimin lost sooner than Jungkook & (Y/N), he could definitely hold his own in a fight but after a certain amount of hits his body would give up on him. Jackson helped him up as he shared some words with him, “You need to get stronger. You’re good but you can become better. Learn how to handle hits, Jimin.” His head turned towards Jungkook with a smile appearing on his face, “You… you’re great. A couple of months in training and I’m sure we’ll be on the same level. We need to focus on your technique.” He proceeded to walk over to (Y/N) who was sitting on a crate with her hands holding her face, he place his hand on her shoulder and spoke up, “You’re also good… very persistent but, you’re driven by too much anger and fear. Sometimes you need to make the first blow.” he turned his attention towards the center of the room, “I’m sure you’re all tired so why don’t you guys all take a nap and I’ll get you in an hour or so. We can talk about where you’ll be assigned to once you’re all in a better state of mind.” Everyone nodded, Hoon-Yi followed behind Jackson as he headed back up the stairs. Jimin & Jungkook were drawn immediately back to each other, both inspecting their wounds and talking about how difficult things were becoming. They were about to leave when a sudden ‘T H U D!’ drew their attention. In an attempt to get up by herself, (Y/N) had fallen over… her body completely exhausted from all the battles. Jungkook gasped and went to help her but something stopped him. His eyes found (Y/N)’s weak hand reaching towards Hoseok instead of him, quietly asking him, “Please… will you carry me to my room? My legs burn.” Jungkook felt a sudden pang of guilt and hurt filling his body, why was his best friend asking for someone else to help her when he was clearly available to help? His gaze followed Hoseok carrying (Y/N) in his arms up the stairs and out of the pit. Jimin wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s torso from the back and asked him, “Why are you feeling guilty?” “I just feel like I should’ve helped her.” “Hm… maybe you should have, but remember we’re all making new friends down here. Maybe now you two don’t depend so much on each other-” Jimin felt Jungkook’s reach, anger. “-I’m sorry, I’m not saying it to upset you baby. I just think that now you two have a chance to make your own lives and not depend on each other so much.” “You know, I’m really tired. Let’s just go to sleep.” Jimin nodded, only being able to understand some of his boyfriend’s emotions.
Two hours later, after the three friends (or, ex friends) were woken up by Jackson standing in their room with two familiar faces; Kim Taehyung and Myung-Soo. “Wakey wakey newbies, it’s time for you to get to work.” Jimin was the first to let out a groan followed by the other two roommates. “Good to see you’re all still alive. Right, well… after debating with the captains we came to a conclusion for each of you. Park Jimin, you will be a part of the Medical team. Myung-Soo will brief you on everything you need to know afterward.” She gave him a warm smile. “Jeon Jungkook, you will be in our army force. You’re great at combat and need a little training with weapons. Kim Taehyung will also brief you afterward.” “Army? Are we preparing for a war?” Jungkook asked with some fear and hesitation in his voice. “Not exactly but, we like to be prepared for worst case scenarios. Which leads me to you; the princess of the room, (Y/N). You will be joining a different team. You will join The Heist team. Now, just because you have all been given a specific team to work with does not mean that you won’t train in everything else. You will take turns in the kitchen preparing food for everyone here, you will help clean our hideout, you will keep watch for guards at night, the list goes on. Today you’ve all been pushed past your limits so let’s get you your first meal of the day.” Jungkook looked at his watch and realized that it was only 2 in the afternoon.  Everyone went down to the pit to get their food. Once they received their trays, Jungkook sat with Jimin who sat next to Jackson. Myung-Soo headed towards her group of friends and Taehyung sat on the cold hard ground by himself. (Y/N) looked at her former best friend and his boyfriend, wanting to sit with them but deciding against it in the end. “Where you going, princess?” “If I’m going to stay down here then I might as well make some new friends.” (Y/N) smiled weakly and walked towards an empty spot near a group of girls. “Hey, can I sit with you guys?” “Of course! You’re the new recruit right?” “Well duh! She’s obviously new, I love your hair; it’s so clean!” “Oh, way to freak her out Rosé. You don’t just randomly compliment clean hair!” “I’m trying to be nice!” (Y/N) laughed and sat with the girls. “Why don’t you guys start with telling me your names before we get into weird compliments?” “Told you it was weird, I’m Hani. I’m usually around the tech area since that’s my expertise.” “I’m Rosé as Hani mentioned before. I’m around the stock and rationing area.” “I’m Téa; usually around the weapons area.” “Nice to meet you all, I’m (Y/N). I’ve been assigned as a part of The Heist.” The girls let out playfully ominous Ouuuu’s. “That’s a pretty big deal; you’ll get to see the light of day! We don’t ever see sun or moonlight down here.” Rosé commented. “Don’t scare the poor girl. Heisting is very exhilarating but also dangerous. If you were placed there, you must be good. Sometimes I go when others can’t but… it’s not too often.” Added Hani. (Y/N) looked down at her tray and picked at her food. “No offense but… what is this?” she asked. “Ah, right. It’s your first day. Well, today we have-” Téa inspected her tray, “Hmm… looks like black beans and veggies.” “Does it always look so-” “Disgusting? Yeah but try it, it’s not as bad as it looks. I’m sure the team will take you out soon as we’re running out of food.” Back at Jackson’s table, the boys began talking amongst themselves, Jimin being the first to ask questions. “So Jackson, how long has this place been operating?” “Hmm, about 3- no,4 years… I’m not sure but around 3 or 4 years… but I didn’t come around until half a year later so I’ve been here for about 3 or 4 years and a half.” “So you didn’t start this?” Jungkook looked down at his feet remembering the heartbreaking story Eun-Ha told him. “No, my best friend did. His name was Namjoon.” “Where is he?” “I don’t talk about him. Just like Eun-Ha doesn’t talk about him. He’s a lost cause now.” Jungkook laughed dryly before speaking up, “He’s your best friend but you think he’s a lost cause?” “Listen kid, you haven’t been around as long as we have. You haven’t seen the things we’ve seen. You don’t know Namjoon and-” Jackson stopped himself and took in a deep breath to control himself, “-I miss him every day of my life but I’d rather not talk about it ok?” Jungkook nodded and apologized for being so rude. Jimin took his boyfriend’s hand to calm him down and continued asking, “How many people here are soulmates?” “Lots… there’s more soulmates than not soulmates. Hobi, Eun-Ha and Taehyung are the ones that you know of that aren’t soulmates.” Jungkook whispered, “And (Y/N).” ‘Hey, quit it’. “She’s not a soulmate? How cute.” ‘I didn’t say anything out of place, Jimin.’ ‘You’re trying to throw jabs at her while she’s not here. I’m not letting you do that babe.’ ‘Alright… sorry.’ Jackson stared at the two boys who were smiling down at their food, “Wow… never seen two people so interested in food.” Jackson chuckled. “Oh… no we were just-” “Thinking?” “Yeah... hey uhm, where’s your soulmate?” The boys noticed how Jackson tensed up, quickly finishing his meal. He excused himself from the two men and left the room without answering their question. A young looking man sat in Jackson’s place soon after he left, “What did you two idiots say to him? You asked about his soulmate didn’t you?” The two men were slightly shocked but nodded to confirm that man’s assumption. “Idiots-” he laughed slightly, “I’m Mark. Let me just help you out so you don’t make any mistakes like that again. You never bring up Jackson’s soulmate, EVER. He has never talked about who she or he is. No one knows why. You never bring up Namjoon to Eun-Ha, she goes into a full meltdown and it’s not pretty. You don’t interfere with any relationships… meaning that if you crush on someone which… I feel like I won’t have to worry about with you two but either way. If you crush on someone and they’re taken you have to leave it that way. For the sake of the hideout, we can’t afford petty issues. Oh! And, you don’t ever bother him-” his gaze lead them in the direction of Taehyung, still sitting on the ground with no one around him. “-he doesn’t like any of us but he’s done a hell of a job at protecting everyone.” “He doesn’t like anyone here?” Jimin asked. “It’s pretty complicated, even I don’t understand since everyone bases off of rumors. Apparently, he doesn’t trust newcomers because of an incident that happened a while ago.” “Oh...” the two boys responded in unison. “That’s pretty much it, you’ll have to get to know everyone to figure out what things they like and don’t like. Are either of you two in the stock team?” “No, I’m army.” “And I’m medical.” “Ah damn, I thought it’d be fun having you two around. Well if you need any tech help, I’m here.” “Likewise Mark.” Jimin responded with a bright smile on his face. “I should get going; I wanna take a nap. See you around guys.” Mark shook hands with the guys and left the pit.
Later that night Eun-Ha paced back and forth in her small room, mumbling to herself over and over again, “This isn’t possible... This can’t be…. No way… I can’t believe this.” She’d gone over the calculations a thousand times and each time the result would be the same, an affirmation of what she didn’t want to believe. Hoseok walked into the room and smiled at his girlfriend. “Hey baby, what’re you doing in here? I thought you might’ve been with the crew?” “Not this time, I asked for a couple hours so I could speak with you. Can we talk?” Hoseok looked worriedly at his girlfriend, taking her small hands in his big ones, “is everything ok? Are you hurt?” “I… I don’t know. Just sit down and listen to me-” she paused and took a deep breath, “-throughout all of my family… the women have never been the type to skip a period. We’re religiously on time for that. I say we because I’m included in there. I’ve never skipped a period, ever. However this month… I did.” She stopped speaking for a brief moment, collecting her thoughts and gathering courage. “When the bags that Jungkook and the other two brought… a pregnancy test was hidden in there. They must’ve brought it in thinking it was some type of medicine but, that’s aside from the point. Anyway, I took advantage of that test and I used it.” Her hands reached underneath the pillow that she shared with her boyfriend and pulled a test out from it. She handed the test over to her boyfriend. “Wh-what does this mean?” He asked as he looked at the pink symbol on the test.
“I’m pregnant.”

Heroism is Subjective  - Chapter 4
Sorry for no illustration this time.  I was working on one but it wasn’t turning out well at all :P.
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
Chapter Summary: Ford and Fiddleford reunite despite overall perilous circumstances, Fiddleford shows off his newest creation, Stan takes a break, Mabel thoroughly enjoys herself, Tate mans the canon, Dipper takes control, and Celestabellebethabelle is less than happy about being here. Warnings: None for this chapter.  Major character death in a future chapter. Notes: Special thanks to @themadcapmathematician for co-writing this and the next few chapters with me!  We rolled a d20 to see who would write for which characters in the next few scenes/chapters.  For this one, madcap wrote Fiddleford and Tate's parts and I filled in the rest.  For the next few chapters, they’ll be taking over more characters as we roll the dice to see where the action takes us.  This chapter is more or less setting the scene for the next few chapters.  (See end for additional notes)
High above the burning crater which was once a small town brimming with oddities, a black castle shaped like its king floated against a sky of technicolor swirls.  A mechanical dragon, pieced together from parts of Fiddleford's Gobblewonker and a robotic pterodactyl, clung to one of its sides, its mouth still hanging agape after Dipper, Mabel, and Stanford had swooped inside to relative safety.  Between the monolithic fortress and the smoldering ruins of the town below, three cycloptic bats flapped skyward, drawing nearer to the mechanical dragon, their shrieks and squawks echoing through the charred remains of the forest and alerting their cohorts below. The dragon’s mouth creaked, closing to prepare for evasive maneuvers.  Ford held onto a rail set into to the arched wall of its mouth, the motion of it’s jaw tipping his balance.  All the while, he listened intently to Dipper and Mabel’s flurry of fragmented sentences telling the tale of a man who lost his home, his family, and his confidence as a scientist.  The erratic neon of the sky dimmed around them, replaced by the glow of light strips lining the walls near the floor, casting Ford's slackened posture in hues of blue.  A brilliant mind such as Fiddleford’s deserved better than contempt and mockery from the town and a ramshackle dwelling in the dump.  No, it was more than that.  It was personal.  His friend deserved better, regardless of his mental capabilities.  Pistons puffed and the floor rattled below his feet signaling that the dragon's mouth had fully closed.  Thankfully, the motion disguised his wobbly legs as nothing more than a loss of balance with its final jolt.   "I..." Ford began, "I have to talk to him..." "Um...  now might not be the time," Dipper said, his hand bracing him against the metallic wall, his feet spread slightly, trying to regain his balance. "Now may be the only time," Ford muttered under his breath. "Go ahead.  We got this," Mabel assured him, "I hope," she whispered to herself, glancing down at the tangled curls wringing through her hands. Ford turned to the spiral staircase situated in the back of the dragon's mouth giving it the appearance of a misshapen uvula.  He sprinted toward it, his boots squeaking to a halt as a click sounded from a canon mount centered in the metal cavern.  Its door slid to the side and Stan emerged, a smile stretching his cheeks despite the exhaustion etched below his eyes and the nausea bubbling in his stomach.  There was enough motion while riding in the command center’s passenger seats in the dragon’s belly, riding in the head was ten times worse than the rickety attractions he’s rented for the Mystery Shack carnivals over the years. He groaned each time his knees bent to climb down the three metal steps, his back snapping and popping as he stood upright.  "Stanford!" more joy than he'd intended erupted with his greeting, as did a hiccup from the flip-flopping of his stomach.  He snorted, settling into his typical grumble, "I can't believe I got talked into helping to save your ungrateful a-, I mean, butt again." "Stanley," Ford breathed, allowing a warm smile to cross his lips.  He stepped closer, resting a firm hand on Stan's shoulder.  Their eyes made contact for a split second before he spoke again, his words weighted with more sincerity than a simple expression of gratitude, "Thank you."  Incapable of untangling anything else from his knotted thoughts, he turned and continued his sprint. "Erm...  You're welcome?"  Stan stammered as Ford reached the stairs and began his ascent.  He turned to Dipper and Mabel, an uneasy feeling tugging at his gut, and asked, "Uh, anyone know what that was all about?" "Um...  not really.  I guess he’s just glad we helped him?" Dipper answered, steadying his stance as the dragon's head lifted skyward, its neck easing into a gentle curve. Mabel clutched her hands below her chin and sang, "I do!  It means you're on your way to hugging it out and being best bro's again!" Stan pressed a hand to his mouth, appearing, at first, as if he was mocking Mabel's enthusiasm with a suppressed gag.  Before she could react,  paleness washed over him, the upward motion sloshing the contents of his stomach to near-eruption. "Uh, guys," Dipper interrupted, “I think we all need to get back to our posts and get this thing moving again before we end up as the main course for Bill's pals out there."  He waved Gideon and his sister over to the arch leading down the dragon's neck and into its stomach.  “Grunkle Stan, are you going to be alright with the canon up here?  You…  Don’t look so good and you’ve kind of already done a lot,” Dipper asked. “Yeah, Don’t worry about me,” Stan replied, a cacophony of pops sounding out as he stretched his back and immediately bent forward as another gurgle of nausea rose from his stomach to his throat.  “Ugh,” he belched, “On second thought…  getting the entire town’s worth of people into this contraption then cramming them all into the Mystery Shack mighta’ taken a bit more outta me than I thought…  Maybe someone else should take over here.”   “Yeah, you look exhausted.  You don’t have to keep pushing yourself,” Dipper said, sitting at the edge of the curve leading down the dragon’s throat.  “When we get down to the central control room, I’ll radio for someone else to take over up here.” “You sure?”  he asked with a raised brow. “Absolutely!” Mabel answered, “You’ve done enough and you’ve taken care of us all summer.  Let us take care of you now.” “Yeah.  Families help each other, right?”  Dipper said, gesturing for Stan to join them. “I… a-alright.” With that, Dipper ushered Stan into a seated position at the edge of an inflatable slide leading down through the dragon’s neck.  Stan held his breath, closed his eyes and pushed off, sliding down into the dark, his exhaustion-dampened yell siphoning into the cavernous control room situated in the dragon’s belly.  Mabel followed, letting her hoots of thorough enjoyment echo through the metallic tube.  Gideon slid down next, whimpering a little along the way.  Lastly, Dipper slid down silently, eyes closed and teeth gritted.   He slid to a halt beside an enclosed gunner’s mount occupied by Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Derland, whom everyone assumed had volunteered for their jobs simply to get the alone time the wood and corrugated metal chamber allowed them.  To his other side, Grenda sat at a semi-circular control panel constructed from old barrels and a piece of pegboard fitted with stove dials, and what looked like a microwave control panel which was responsible for moving the robot’s arms.  Her hands gripped two joysticks as she awaited a signal to release the front claws’ grip on the fearamid.  Near the back, Candy’s feet swung back and forth, tapping against a tattered bus seat at a mirror image version of Grenda's console which operated the robot’s feet. Mabel darted to her post, the console beside Candy’s which was responsible for the tail’s movement.  Constructed from a dented and rust-splotched stove, it sported a single joystick, a panel of television dials, and a remote control soldered to the stove top.  Waddles plodded alongside her and laid beside her feet. Stan and Gideon side-eyed each other and sat on opposite sides of the first row of passenger seats surrounding a central control platform.  Pacifica, Soos, Wendy and her father, and Mayor Tyler sat on re-purposed bus and stadium seats between them.  The remaining rows upon rows were partially occupied by gnomes.  Near the central platform, an utterly unimpressed Celestabellebethabelle laid on the floor, her front hoof tapping against the metal every so often.  Her horn lit up with her mumbled, “Why am I even here?” “Because we didn’t know whether or not we’d need you to make with the tears again and un-stonify more people,” Wendy answered, her arms crossed, ax gripped in one hand. "Well, it's a good thing I'm a great actress who can cry on cue!" "I'm sure you were thinking of squished dandelions or crushed children's dreams or something," Wendy mutter, rolling her eyes. While Wendy bickered with the frustrated unicorn, Dipper climbed three steps up to the command post, a round platform crafted from a stack of tractor tires topped by a metal tabletop and surrounded by rails made of old pipes.  Monitors stacked two on top of each hanging in a circle around him.  He sat in the salvaged office chair, swiveling a bit as he landed, and donned his headset just in time to send out a warning, “Evasive maneuvers!  We need to get airborne!  Candy, Grenda, get ready to let go of this floating, equilateral, hunk of garbage.  Grunkle Stan needs a break, any volunteers for someone to man the main canon?” **** Ford heard neither the conversation between his brother and the younger twins nor the departure of his family through the haze clouding his thoughts as he climbed a spiral of propeller blades, his hand gripping a railing fashioned from copper pipes.  Far more than the impending reunion with his old friend weighed heavy upon him.  How am I going to tell them?  Should I tell them?  Maybe it would be better if I didn't.  They're my family...  I have to tell them.  But I just...  don't want to do this...  There must be another way!  I...  I need...  I need to talk to Fiddleford...  And this time...  I'll listen.  If he'll let me.  Fiddleford...  I'm sorry. Half-way up he stopped, bent over as anxiety wrung the breath from his lungs and pounded through his chest.  He pushed one foot forward and up, steps protesting under his boots each step feeling as though he was walking through a haze on autopilot.  Reality seemed to waver as he reached up to a hatch in the ceiling made of a rusted car door.  As if without conscious command, his hand pressed up and the hatch lifted.  His feet carried him up and forward in a haze until he stood behind two torn and grease-stained airliner seats. "F-Fiddleford," his voice rasped in his throat, half of the syllables catching on his breath inaudibly. "Stanford Pines," a warm twang greeted him among the flipping of switches and beeps, boops, and clicks of buttons. "Fiddleford, I'm so sorry," he blurted. The sounds of the controls being operated began to dwindle, until the noise and motion faded into inactivity and silence. Fiddleford shuffled in his chair and stumbled out of the side, facing his guest. Fiddleford stared in stunned silence. There was plenty about Ford that differed from the worn scraps of memory he had recovered - his greying hair, the exhaustion riddling his face, an unfamiliar wear and age to him - and yet it was eerie how exactly he matched the images in his head. A flood of emotions Fiddleford couldn’t hope to separate or restrain washed over him.   He’d thought about what he was going to say upon reuniting with him, just about every day since they planned the rescue, yet in that moment, he didn’t recall any of it. He closed the gap between them in a single leap, reached out, and pulled Ford into a tight hug. Stanford could do little more than stare at the lanky body hurtling toward him.  He caught a glimpse of a long white beard tapering off behind his old friend and a wide, snaggletoothed smile before a pair of thin arms wrapped around his middle with the strength of a boa constrictor.  He blinked, taken aback by the response, standing with wide eyes and a slackened jaw for a moment before wrapping his arms around him, nearly lifting him from his feet as warmth filled his heart, brimming over and rushing into every limb. “Fiddleford.  Really.  I’m sorry.  I should have listened to you,” he said, squeezing his arms around him once more  before releasing him.  As Fiddleford stepped back, Ford could see his familiar blue eyes, fringed with age and crowned by tufts of grey, beneath a frayed and torn scarecrow’s hat.  Though his hair had all but vanished from his head and his beard had faded to snowy white, there was no question that this was his best friend from too many decades ago.  He was finally standing right there in front of him, not in some dimension far away and unreachable. “I-”  And just like that, it felt as though a spear shot through his heart, “I should have listened,” he repeated, a melancholy sigh underscoring his words.  “You tried to warn me…  And now…” Fiddleford patted Ford’s arm in reassurance. “There now...we both made some mistakes way back when…” His own had haunted him ever since the memories had begun to return. They had been muddled, but the underlying guilt had been ever-present.  He gave Ford’s arm a squeeze. “But enough of that. I’m just glad you’re all in one piece!” He smiled, looking up at Ford fondly. “Yeah…  one piece…” Ford parroted, his mind chanting in an anxious loop, for now, but for how long?  For how- Stop!  Say something back to him, you self-centered fool.  He coiled his thoughts into a tight ball and shoved them aside, focusing on the memories they’d shared together, allowing a genuine smile to shine through.  “I’m glad you’re still in one piece, too,” he replied, patting Fiddleford’s shoulder. Fiddleford grinned, pulling on the strap of his thread-bare overalls. “Well as much as I can be anyway, heh heh...” He tugged on the sleeve of Ford’s sweater. “Ah, where are my manners?” He patted the back of the seat beside his. “You remember my little tater-tot, don’t you?” Tate had been preoccupied with the controls, but he turned and peeked around the seat back at his father’s prompting. He started, saying nothing for a time. He finally gave a tentative nod. “Mr. Pines.” Ford couldn’t manage anything more than staring for a moment.  Was this really the baby he’d held over thirty years ago?  He certainly had the same shaggy brown hair, still obscuring his eyes as it had even before he turned one.  And he’d definitely inherited his father’s prominent yet distinguished nose and his mother’s rounded chin.  Ford took a step back as Tate’s chair wobbled.  The younger man stood and turned to them, his stature slightly taller than Ford’s and all he could muster at the sight was, “My, you certainly have gotten taller since the last time I saw you.” Tate nodded again. The conversation lulled before he adjusted his headset and said, “Radar says eyebats are incomin’.” “Evasive maneuvers!,” Dipper’s voice buzzed through Fiddleford and Tate’s headsets, so loudly that Ford could hear every word, "We need to get airborne!  Candy, Grenda, get ready to let go of this floating, equilateral, hunk of garbage.  Grunkle Stan needed a break, any volunteers for someone to man the main canon?" Fiddleford put his hand on Tate’s arm. “You’ve been a big help, Tate! Would you be ok workin’ the cannon…?” Tate was already handing Ford his headset, a ghost of a smile on his face. He rested his hand on Fiddleford’s shoulder for a few seconds, then opened the hatch and disappeared into it. Fiddleford stared at the hatch for a few seconds, a melancholic but affectionate smile plastered on his face. He looked up at Ford abruptly, suddenly aware of the situation. Ford fumbled with the headset until he managed to adjust the mic and ear pieces to fit him.  Though, his voice was a bit wobbly and uncertain of the team’s protocols, he lowered the mic and spoke into it, “Looks like Tate is going to take over the canon.” “Perfect, thanks, Grunkle Ford!”  Dipper replied. “Ah, you must be tired after all you’ve been through!”  Fiddleford said, resting his hand on Ford's back.  He guided him over to the copilot’s chair and settled him into it. “Have a seat, copilot!” “Oh,” Ford answered, inwardly resentful toward the blush rising in his cheeks at his new title, “Thank you.”  He took his seat, staring in awe at the radar screen embedded in the window of a car door acting as the console’s top.  His gaze lifted, following the rounded pane of glass in front of him up, craning his neck as it curved overhead.  Beyond it, dark forms flapped ever closer, silhouetted against a swirling sky of magenta and yellow. Fiddleford jumped into his own chair, toggling more switches. “I’m just gettin’ the DDRD3000 warmed up for the next attack! We’re liable to hafta fight our way outta here after all, and i hate for us to be unprepared.” “The what?” Ford asked, tearing his attention away from the incoming barrage of eye bats to raise an eyebrow at his old friend. Fiddleford grinned, “Ah well it’s just an acronym, ya see this contraption’s full name is,” his grin turned positively fiendish and he wiggled his fingers, “the DOOM-DRAGON-REVENGE-DACTYl-A-TRON-3000!” He cackled at this maniacally for several seconds before clearing his throat and smiling cheerily again. “But that’s sort o’ a long name, so I thought we all just might use somethin’ a wee bit shorter!" Ford’s grin beamed at his old friend’s enthusiasm, the familiarity radiating from Fiddleford seeming to melt a clearing in his mental haze.  It hadn’t fully dawned on him how much he had missed him over the years, yet, in that moment, it was as though they’d never been apart at all, as if they'd created scientific marvels together with the odd Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons campaign between them just a few days ago...  Aside from thirty years worth of mess they desperately needed to discuss with each other. Fiddleford glanced out at the eyebats. He gave Ford another warm smile. “‘Sides, we got a lot to catch up on! a whole uh...well...a real long time’s worth! Now’s as good an occasion as any to start!”   End Notes: We probably have enough material for another chapter with what we put together last week but we've hit...  an interesting conundrum where a few rolls might take this whole thing in a very different direction.  For now, all I'll say is that the dice did not favor our heroes and at one point Bill rolled a nat 20.Also, our document notes are kind of amusing and we're considering posting a shenanigans version of these next few chapters that include all of the planning and commentary.  Would anyone be interested in reading something like that?

The Weekend Warrior Home and Drive-In Edition July 3, 2020 – HAMILTON, THE OUTPOST, JOHN LEWIS: GOOD TROUBLE and more!
Well, it is 4th of July weekend and in most years, I’d be scratching my head about how the 4th falling on a Saturday might affect the movies opening over the course of the week. This 4th of July lands just as a bunch of states start rolling back their reopenings, including some percentage of the hundreds of movie theaters that have reopened, not that any of them would have had much impact. Even so, there’s some great stuff hitting screens of all sizes including lots of stuff you can watch from home.
Tumblr media
First and foremost, Disney has decided to release the filmed documentation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit Tony-winning musical HAMILTON onto the Disney+ streaming service this Friday, months in advance of its planned holiday theatrical release, but appropriately, just in time for the 4th of July. I was lucky enough to see the musical on Broadway last year March, although by then, all the key players had pretty much left to be replaced by equally talented performers. I thought it was terrific, basically as good as everyone had been saying, but I was still a little bummed I didn’t get to see Miranda or Daveed Diggs or some of the others who had been in the show since it premiered off-Broadway.
Wisely, Miranda had one of his last performances in 2016 filmed and Disney bought the rights to release it theatrically before the pandemic hit. Obviously, Miranda knew that people were starting to go a little stir crazy from lack of entertainment and releasing Hamilton early for 4th of July weekend was a way he could give back to the fans, while giving people yet another reason to subscribe to Disney+ while there are no new ongoing series ready to go. (Apparently, Disney+ has shut off the one-week free trial so people don’t subscribe just to watch Hamilton and then cancel after doing so.)
In fact, I was quite surprised to get a screener for the movie to review it, although I feel that Hamilton is almost review-proof at this point, even in this new filmed format. I’ll admit that at first, I was skeptical that watching a live performance even on a very large TV set could possibly capture what it’s like to be in the Richard Rogers Theater on Broadway watching Hamilton live, but boy, was I wrong!
Since I had never seen Lin-Manuel Miranda in the title role, that was special in itself, but so many of the other performances just burst off the screen. Leslie Odom, Jr. is absolutely amazing as Aaron Burr, and I was equally blown away by Christopher Jackson as George Washington, a character I barely remembered from my one time seeing the musical. Renée Elise Goldsberry was also quite brilliant as Angelica Shuyler, the woman who had to compete for Hamilton’s affections with her own sister Eliza, as played by Phillipa Soo. (I actually liked the women’s numbers quite a bit more in this format, as Goldsberry and Soo were fabulous.) Apparently, they got Jonathan Groff back as King George for this performance, and he’s deliciously evil as the antagonist of the piece, despite making just three appearances more as a narrator.
On paper, Hamilton’s 2 hours 40 might seem long but the first act (about an hour and 17 minutes) just flies by based on the amazing energy coming off stage. The second half is very different, but it also switches Daveed Diggs over to the role of Thomas Jefferson, creating another stopping block for Hamilton. This is also where Hamilton goes deeper into the politics of the time, framing political debates as rap battles, and delivering some of its biggest numbers. Knowing how this musical helped turn Odom and Diggs into superstars alongside Miranda, it’s great to see some of their numbers that really show off their talent.
All of that said, it’s almost impossible to separate Hamilton as a filmed stage musical from Hamilton the musical itself, because there’s a good reason why it was such a blockbuster hit – because it so damn fucking good.  Hamilton (the film) is an exceptional documentation of this musical, which will probably stand the test of time as one of the finest musicals from the early 21st Century. Whether you’ve already seen it or have been dying to do so, it is to Disney and Miranda’s credit that they chose to finally give people all over the world a chance to watch it over and over from home at this particularly difficult time in our country’s history.
Hamilton will also kick off a weekly “Summer Movie Nights” program on Disney+ which will begin this Friday with live Q n As on Disney+ social media (Twitter, Instagram and Facebook). Besides Hamilton, the program will also include The Mighty Ducks, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Armageddon, Solo: A Star Wars Story and a lot more extending right through August. (You can read more about that program here.)

There are a number of other really good movies this week, but this week’s “Featured Film” is Rod Lurie’s return to filmmaking with the real-life war drama, THE OUTPOST (Screen Media), based on Jake Tapper’s book The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor about the 2009 assault on Combat Outpost COP Keating in a valley surrounded by Afghanistan’s Kush mountains that was overrun by hundreds of Taliban in one of the Army’s deadliest battles, the Battle of Kamdesh.
A little review caveat: I’ve known Rod for almost 13 years, and I consider him a friend. Heck, he’s bought me a few nice meals over the years, and he gave me some of the best advice I’ve ever been given in my entire life… which of course I didn’t listen to. Rod also knows that I take my role as a film critic very seriously, since he was one himself, and that I wouldn’t lie if I didn’t like a film he made. The good news is that I loved The Outpost, and I think it’s one of Lurie’s best films to date. (For those who don’t know this, Lurie went to West Point, and his earlier film The Last Castle was a good indication of how in tune he is with the military and how to portray them in film. Oddly, that movie was also the very first movie I ever reviewed, if that’s ever asked in trivia.)
Of course, there’s another immediate caveat that needs to be said, because The Outpost is coming out after a couple decades of movies set in Afghanistan, as well as some great war films. It’s something Lurie surely must have been aware of when deciding to tackle this subject matter, and that’s something the movie has to work against since to many, they’ll feel that Afghanistan has been covered enough. Watching the movie makes you realize this is far from the case.
Another general problem with military films is that it’s often hard to determine who is who, partially since soldiers’ heads are shaved to level the playing field, but that also makes it hard to separate Scott Eastwood from Orlando Bloom from every other Joe
Through a number of preliminary situations, we learn more about the individual soldiers, although the commanding officers turn out to be as expendable as drummers in Spinal Tap in that they just don’t last very long. In fact, Lurie does such a great job with the tension and suspense, you never know when the shooting is gonna start or someone might get blown up, which must have been how the soldiers stationed at COP Keating felt. The movie isn’t entirely grim, though as the shocking horrors of war are well-countered by the jovial attitude between the soldiers as they wait for the next big attack.
Surprisingly, it’s Caleb Landry Jones who really stands out from this great ensemble as Ty Carter, who you immediately assume is the fuck-up of the bunch since very few of his colleagues like him.  Turns out there’s a lot more to him as a character, and by the end of the film you realize this might easily be one of the best performances of Jones’ career. (I realized this even more on a second viewing.)
Where The Outpost really takes off is at about the halfway point as everything we’ve seen up until that point leads to the actual Battle of Kamdesh on October 3, 2009. At this point, it becomes a brutal battle sequence on par with Peter Berg’s Last Survivor or Ridley Scott’s Blackhawk Down.  The amazing work done by Lurie and his camera and visual/make-up FX teams really pulls the viewer into battle with the soldiers. Honestly, I’m a little bummed that more people probably won’t be seeing The Outpost on the big screen where it deserves to be seen. It took many decades for Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket and others to be deemed classics in the way they displayed the horrors of war, and I feel that those who see The Outpost will hold it up fairly to those classics, even (and especially) by those who feel that the war in Afghanistan is “ancient history.”
You can find out exactly where The Outpost will be playing and places to download and watch digitally on the official Screen Media site.

Let’s get to a few of this week’s docs, and another wonderful movie that will be available via Virtual Cinema this week is Dawn Porter’s JOHN LEWIS: GOOD TROUBLE (Magnolia/Participant), which showcases the life and political career of ‘60s Civil Rights activist and Georgia Congressman John Lewis, who has really seen a lot in his 80 years. Porter, who produced and directed Trapped and Spies of Mississippi, follows Lewis around during the lead-up to the 2018 election where winning the House back is crucial for the Democrats, superimposing that with chapters from Lewis’ long life, including some archival footage that even he hadn’t seen. (The title “Good Trouble” comes from a speech Lewis gives while on the campaign trail, saying that protesting and getting arrested is exactly that.)  I don’t think I have a lot to say otherwise about this fantastic doc or Lewis himself other than the fact that Magnolia would have been wise to release this movie two weeks earlier, since Lewis continues to play such an inspirational role in the discussion about race and equality, but also about protesting peacefully but persistently to get the changes that need to be made.
Another really good doc that I recommend is Liam Firmager’s SUZI Q (Utopia Distribution), which if you’re over a certain age, you might immediately realize that it’s a doc about ‘70s rocker and feminist icon Suzi Quatro, who had huge rock hits in the UK and Australia, but didn’t really have an impact in the States until she appeared on the hit show “Happy Days” as Leather Tuscadero. There are definitely parallels between this film and the amazing Joan Jett: Bad Reputation doc from a few years back, and not just because Joan Jett plays a key role in the Suzi Quatro story, having been an avid fan who almost modelled herself after the young rock star. I’m sure I learned more about Suzi Quatro watching this doc than anything I knew beforehand, as I’m not sure I ever realized how far into the musical theater world she went in the ‘80s and ‘90s, nor did I know about how her sisters felt left out when she went off on her own and found huge fame. If you’re a fan of rock music or just rock docs, it’s worth your time to keep an eye out for this doc, which is having a one-night only virtual premiere with a QnA with Ms. Quatro. You can learn more about that on the Official Site.
Cannes award-winning Japanese auteur Kore-Eda Hirokazu  (Shoplifters) shifts his gaze to France with his new film THE TRUTH (IFC Films), which I saw when it premiered at this year’s “Rendezvous with French Cinema” before this whole pandemic began, and the movie’s planned March release was scuppered. This one stars French legends Catherine Deneuve and Juliette Binoche as mother and daughter, Deneuve as Fabienne, an aging French movie star who is about the publish her memoirs, as her daughter Lumir (Binoche) comes to visit her from New York with her actor husband (Ethan Hawke) and their young daughter.
Believe me, I really wanted to like this movie, but Hirokazu makes his first foray into Western filmmaking by making the kind of boring and pretentious French film withink the filmmaking industry that’s been done much better with Olivier Assayas’ Clouds of Sils Maria, also starring Binoche. I’m not sure why I couldn’t get into this, and it’s certainly not unwatchable if you’re into the cast and some of Hirokazu’s more noodly Japanese films, but there’s really nothing to this film that really jumps out and screams one to watch it, and trying to get through it a second time as a refresher was just a fool’s chore, so I won’t even be reviewing the movie persé. Either way, it will be available in “select theaters,” digital and cable VOD this Friday.
Opening in “select drive-ins” this Friday is Natalie Erika James’ RELIC (IFC Midnight), following its Sundance premiere where it received raves, but it will be available On Demand and digitally (and maybe even in other theaters) next week, so I’ll probably review it then. Oddly, this movie also involves three generations of women with Emily Mortimer playing Kay, who returns to her family’s country home with her daughter Sam (Bella Heathcote) after Kay’s mother Edna mysterious vanishes. Just as they arrive, Edna reappears just as suddenly, but won’t say where she was as her behavior becomes more dangerous, possibly possessed by an evil spirit. Again, I’ll watch this later this week and have a review for you next week.

Now available on DVD, Blu-ray and digital is FORCE OF NATURE (Lionsgate), the new film from the prolific Michael Polish (of the famous Polish Brothers of Twin Falls Idaho). This one is an action-thriller starring Mel Gibson, Emile Hirsch and Mrs. Polish, Kate Bosworth, as a retired detective, a disgraced cop and a doctor who take on a gang of thieves as a Category 5 hurricane hits San Juan, Puerto Rico.
I have to say that I did not go into this movie without some trepidation, because the production companies involved have become almost synonymous with the VOD schlock that Lionsgate will release without any sort of theatrical push. In other words, Force of Nature was never meant to be seen in theaters. This one seems like a pretty simple premise with Hirsch being a disgraced police officer who ends up at an apartment complex as a hurricane and a couple crooks bear down, and he’s forced to team with a retired detective (Gibson) and his daughter (Bosworth) plus a couple others.
Of course, there’s also some trepidation by the decision to cast Gibson and Hirsch due to their various infractions over the years, Gibson’s having just been brought back to light recently. The thing is that their presence and that of Kate Bosworth brings more to what is not a particularly well-written thriller.  This type of “bad cop” character doesn’t seem particularly well suited for Hirsch, as he’s still a bit of a “baby face,” but it also seems a little ill-timed to have that sort of character as a protagonist. The thing is that Hirch’s “Cardillo” doesn’t even stay in that mode for very long, as once he encounters Gibson’s character, he just can’t out-badass him. And honestly? Gibson is pretty funny in a role that could be his Lethal Weapon in his last days, but make no mistake that this is not a Mel Gibson movie since his character is discarded then quickly forgotten.  On the other hand, Polish was wise to cast the great David Zayas from Oz as the film’s primary baddie, and some of the supporting cast like Stephanie Cayo and William Catlett offer more to the storytelling than the leads.
Even so, it’s hard to get past the bad writing like Bosworth’s character telling how she became a doctor when her father (Gibson’s character) shot up a bunch of turkeys, followed by an even weaker story by Cardillo on how he got his partner killed. These ho-hum moments really slow down any momentum created by Polish in the action pieces, but even those are hindered by the film’s overblown score.
Force of Nature isn’t great and it certainly has its problems -- did we mention the lion in the closet? -- but it also had the potential to be much much worse, especially if (for instance) I actually had paid to see it. Make no mistake that this is a very dumb action movie.
New York’s Film at Lincoln Center is upping its Virtual Cinema with a number of new programs, including John Lewis: Good Trouble (mentioned above), as well as Ulrich Köhler’s 2002 film Bungalow and the self-explanatory Four Shorts by Miguel Gomes from the Portugese filmmaker. These include Christmas Inventory / Inventário De Natal (2000), 31 (2001), Kalkitos (2002) and Canticle of All Creatures from 2006.
Downtown at the Film Forum, their Virtual Cinema is also showing John Lewis: Good Trouble, as well as Leontine Sagan’s Mädchen in Uniform (1931) and Jacques Becker’s Rendezvous in July (1949), which will be joined by Antoine and Antoinette next week.
Saturday Night Live’s Nasim Pedrad stars in LP’s Desperados (Netflix) playing a woman wh flies to Mexico with her two best friends (Anna Camp, Sarah Burns) to delete an angry Email she sent to her new boyfriend, but once there, she runs into her former boyfriend (Lamorne Morris).
A bunch of new series will debut on Netflix this week, so in order of my interest, there’s JU-ON: Origins, which is exactly what it sounds like, a prequel series to The Grudge movies, while Ben Dunn’s long-running Antarctic Press comic series Warrior Nun Areala has been adapted into the fantasy series,  Warrior Nun. Now available on Netflix, Homemade is a quickly-produced anthology series of short films made under quarantine during the pandemic by a number of prominent filmmakers like Paolo Sorrentino, Pablo Larrain, Rachel Morrison, David Mackenzie and more. The Baby-Sitters Club is based on the best-selling book series with Sophie Grace, Malia Baker, Momona Tamada, Shay Rudoph and Xochitl Gomez as a bunch of middle-schoolers who start a babysitting business in their suburban Connecticut town. Also, that George Lopez stand-up special I mentioned last week actually opens this week.
I also want to give a thumbs up to the Jason Reitman-directed Home Movie: The Princess Bride, which premiered on Quibi earlier this week, spinning off of Reitman’s hugely successful live script readings. In this case, he has a number of big stars recreating the scenes and roles from the popular movie using whatever they have at home. So far, the recreations have included Tiffany Haddish, Josh Gad, Adam Sandler, Common, Hugh Jackman with more to come as different actors play the roles as the series goes on. Not sure how they’re gonna cover the entire movie over 10-episodes of 5 or 6 minutes each, but I guess we’ll have to see.
Amazon Prime will launch its own new crime series Big Dogs starting Wednesday that takes place in a number of underworld after-hour clubs called “Speaks.”
I probably should have included this in last week’s column but David (How to Survive a Plague) France’s new doc Welcome to Chechnya (HBO Documentary Films) debuted on HBO on Tuesday, which means you can probably still catch it on HBO Max.  This one involves a group of brave activists who are risking their lives to confront the anti-LGBTQ persecution happening in the Russian republic of Chechnya, which includes detention, torture and death from the authorities.
Tonight, you can also catch the doc Born to Play, which will have its premiere on ESPN, following the Boston Renegades, a women’s tackle football team over the course of the season after losing their championship the previous year. I haven’t seen it but I like a good inspiration sports doc as much s the next guy.
Other movies hitting the digital airwaves that I just didn’t get time for this week include Skyman (Gravitas Ventures) and Homewrecker (Dark Star Pictures/Uncork’d Entertainment).
Next week, more movies mostly in drive-ins, you lucky people with cars! Oh, speaking of drive-ins, Amazon Studios is kicking off its “Night at the Drive-In” series tonight with the “Movies to Make You Fall in Love” double feature of Love & Basketball and Crazy Rich Asians. You can find out if there’s a drive-in near you doing this program on the Official Site. I really wish I drove or had a friend with a car.
By the way, if you read this week’s column and have bothered to read this far down, feel free to drop me some thoughts at Edward dot Douglas at Gmail dot Com or drop me a note or tweet on Twitter. I love hearing from readers … honest!
