If you're still sharing your Disney+ login with your family and friends in Canada, you might not be able to do so later this year.
In September 2023, Disney+ said changes could be coming to Canadian subscribers. By early November, Canadian subscribers were emailed about changes to their agreement, telling them they "may not share [their] subscription outside of [their] household."
The service considers a "household" to mean the "collection of devices associated with your primary personal residence that are used by the individuals who reside therein."
The move came after Netflix officially shut down password sharing in February 2023.
Following this, many Canadians have still been able to share their Disney+ login with others, but that might change after this summer. [...]

Crunchyroll buying out and shutting down Funimaton, deleting everyone’s purchased copies, and then hiking up their prices by 200% is just another example of why you should buy physical media. If you want to buy things you actually own, don’t look to streaming.

One thing about the WGA Strike is that Onion article was kinda right. Hollywood shot themselves in the foot with their current standard of cancelling every show people like to produce more and more short-term novelty.
It’s not like we have tons of shows ending on cliffhangers waiting for season six anymore. Due to their greed, they’ve personally taken long-term viewer investment outside and shot it and now they can’t count on it for negotiating power. What are viewers going to be mad about missing out on? The Twilight reboot? Another Star Wars spin-off? Several promising pilot seasons on Netflix with great representation that were already produced and cancelled before they aired and would’ve been even if the strike hadn’t happened?

You know, I used to think streamers who play old Super Nintendo games on ultra-widescreen monitors and stretch them out so that Link's ass is twice as wide as he is tall because it's "better that way" were the worst thing I'd ever seen, but I just ran into a streamer who plays modern "NES style" retro games that were explicitly designed for 16:9 displays and squashes them horizontally to the NES's native 16:15 because it's "more authentic", and I 100% take it back.
