A lot had been revealed to Cloud while in the lifestream. The fragments of his memories, of his identity, all brought together piece by piece. The cold, distant persona from before, the claim of being a First Class SOLDIER, the stories fabricated from Zack's tales: it had all been an attempt to keep his mind from breaking further.
After several long years, he finally knew who he was and what had happened, or at least bits of it. There was a lot still unclear to him and so he had decided to pay Nibelheim one last visit.
The village was still populated by ShinRa actors but Cloud ignored them as he made his way through town and up to the mansion. The old building radiated an ominous aura, its depths hiding secrets Cloud wasn't sure he wanted to uncover, but he'd have to. He was done running from his past.
As he approached, a pink figure came into view, standing right outside the gates. Aerith. It all felt familiar, him trying to go somewhere on his own and Aerith right there. Sector 5 felt like a lifetime ago now.
"Aerith," he started, coming to a halt in front of her. "What are you doing here?"
It had been his plan to face this last leg of his journey alone. Not that he couldn't rely on his friends but...some parts of him were still that kid afraid to show his weakness.
@kageito-gotchi (just in case it didn't show up in your notifs or it became too long)

"...come here..."
Mura brings Kageito close enough for a hug, wrapping their hands around his small device form and resting him on their shoulder. They allowed him to cry more if he needed to, as they felt him tremble in his hands.
"It's okay..." Mura whispered, letting him hug them for however long he needed it to be. "I'll be here for you..."
After a while of hugging, the two part from each other. Mura is holding Kageito in their hands, being as careful as they could be. They wanted to take care of him, and if they got hurt... they would let him know, but try to be easy on him. Mura needed to remind themself that Kageito is his own being, but he is more than just a game.
"I understand that this is a lot to take in... but let's not dwell too much in this sorrow. Thank you for trusting me." Mura smiled once more, it was rare to see such a kind expression...
"For the time being... would you like to play another mini game? What would you like to do?" Mura asks, wanting to cheer up their friend. They patiently wait for his response.
