we’ve heard of Milo “tummy kisser” Greer, but have we considered Milo “body worshiper” Greer. Because you cannot sit there and tell me that Milo Greer would stop at just the tummy, nuh uh, that man treats his partner like the deity they are.
anyone else think kratos and faye are kind of echoed in surtr and sinmara? surtr is a fire giant, kratos is associated with fire. sinmara is an ice giant, faye is associated with ice. both kratos and faye have some degrees of control over their respective elements via the weapons they use. also, according to the mural atreus and angrboda saw, surtr and sinmara battled each other before growing close and falling in love, while faye states that she and kratos nearly took each other's heads off at first meeting. also 2x surtr carrying sinmara's heart inside his chest and sinmara carrying his heart inside her chest, while faye tells kratos that she will always be a part of him, and he will always be a part of her
nicky’s hypersexuality & flamboyancy is actually his attempt at taking back the youth of being an overdramatic teen baby gay that got stolen from him because of religious trauma & trying to counterbalance the twins’ permeating depression and to try and lift their spirits, no matter how little his attempts actually work. His ‘mellow out’ over the course of the series is not only due to his own growth, but also because he slowly feels less of a need to try and counter act the damage so clear on his family because he can see it healing on its own. in this essay i will—

everyone noticed how shuri rejected tradition throughout the movie only to finally accept it towards the end and the acceptance is what allows her to finally grow and move on and that's a pretty obvious theme in the movie but i love how the exact opposite is what okoye experiences
in the very first fight scene okoye calls out aneka for using shuri's enhanced blades (that have electrocuting powers?? how freaking cool were those?? shuri's designs are insane) all the while highlighting the strengths of the spears their foremothers gave them. aneka preferring the newer blades was in no way belittling the original spears, since they were based on the originals after all, only supplemented with additional features. but okoye takes aneka's mere preference as an insult to tradition anyway, and prohibits aneka from ever using them again
wakanda has always had the best tech in the whole world, they have been centuries ahead of other cultures and this knowledge and power due to their advanced resources is rooted in their history. though this allows them to respect their roots better than other resource-rich cultures who have gone through colonisation (and thus forced to be ashamed of their history), it instills a sense of ego in them that shuri, surprisingly, doesnt have. this is partially why (among other, bigger, reasons of course) wakanda is hidden and doesnt want to share its resources with the world. this ego is also why when namor first introduces himself to queen ramonda and shuri and tells them that they arent the only hidden nation with a wealth of vibranium, queen ramonda instantly denies the truth, while shuri exclaims "mother, he's covered in it!". like a true scientist at heart, shuri believes what she sees, and is willing to transform her beliefs based on new information. other wakandans like queen ramonda and okoye on the other hand, by means of respecting tradition, cannot at first sight deny anything that defies what they know of their history and culture
okoye finding the midnight angels suits "ugly" and the name ridiculous is not just a mere preference, she is vehemently against the idea of having to give up tradition. her culture and tradition are her identity, it's one of the reasons why it's so heartbreaking when queen ramonda dismisses her of her dora milaje rank, because this role is everything she's ever known, she even stands up against her own husband to protect her identity, her culture, her home. but it is her downfall from the dora milaje, her falling to the deepest pits of despair and humiliation and loss is when she finally gives a chance to the midnight angels. it humbles her into giving herself a new chance for her to gain a new identity, a new home, and move forward
just like shuri learns that accepting tradition on top of science is the only way to grow, okoye learns that simply relying on tradition will never give her the opportunity to realise that she has more potential than she believes. both characters go on a journey of self-discovery and learn to balance both science and tradition and learn how equally important they are for us to grow as individuals and as a society
the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.
