Frenchie: Absolutely not. Are you kidding me? He canonically deals drugs and rolls his own joints, two things that high schoolers famously think is the most badass thing you can do. He'd probably even be popular??

MM: Also does not get bullied. MM is just generally fucking cool. Might get harassed in a playful way for being genuinely caring and compassionate towards other people but I think kids would look past that.

A-Train, Noir, Deep, Translucent, Maeve: Honestly, I think they're absolutely the "popular crowd" of the school and people resent them but they don't get bullied for it. They probably do some of the bullying themselves.

Hughie: Perhaps controversial but I think he lives in a neutral zone where half the school doesn't even know who he is. Not really popular but he's so normal that people can't bully him. Probably catches strays from being friends with Butcher though.

Annie: Also lives in a sort of neutral zone where I think she would be popular for being nice and pretty, but also would get bullied by other, catty popular girls because she's nice and pretty.

Kimiko: Yeah, but it's all pretty generic shit for being mute. She probably hears the same 4 insults over and over again over the course of 4 years until she graduates.

Butcher and Homelander: ABSOLUTELY GET BULLIED. They're both spiritually 12 year old boys that have just entered their edgy phase and think they're hot shit. All it would take is Butcher saying some of his usual corny shit and everyone would think he's a massive fucking loser. Homelander also.

I am being so serious when I say: if you have the financial and time privilege to get a group of friends together and make an indie project, PLEASE do. Indie games, indie animations, indie comics etc etc

the art industries are kind of in the shitter. It’s not so much because of AI (though that doesn’t help) but because studios just aren’t hiring people and funding projects anymore. People who’ve been in the industry for decades are finding themselves struggling, and once you have a mortgage or kids it’s harder to do something as risky as making something on your own.

completing projects is hard. it takes a lot of time and effort, and most people can’t afford it. so if you CAN afford to make art, even at the risk of no financial gain, I strongly encourage you to be as resilient as you can. We’re at a point where these industries are not going to turn around by themselves, and waiting for jobs to open up again in order to get experience and portfolio work might not be realistic.

people have been making art and telling stories longgggg before we were getting paid for it, and people aren’t going to stop just because no one has hired them to do so.

for everyone else: support indie artists when you can!!!! That person who made that cool indie game or youtube animation or webcomic might be doing this full time! your support might be the only reason they’re able to keep doing it.

I never realized how much of my shit is scanned by grammarly until today. It scans my emails, my text posts on this bewitched platform, my wips on google docs, my youtube comments--literally everything ive ever typed on my laptop is scanned by grammarly. And I've been allowing this to happen for years.
