I love my niece and nephew but my sister literally keeps dumping them with me & expecting me to babysit without paying me despite the fact she has a job, & I'm tired of being treated as free labor for her

Rereading again, and it's really interesting to note just how different the early art style is from the later style- and especially from the anime itself. With the manga, you can at least see where things came from; in the anime, it's a fairly radical departure that is only barely recognizable as what it's meant to be, at least in regards to Joker himself, specifically.

The early manga has lots of sharp points and angles, creating a character that, even if he behaves in largely similar ways, still feels almost entirely different from his animated counterpart. No wonder I was so put off by the anime's designs, originally- and that I had gotten the impression that he was older than he actually wound up being, or was type-cast as. Funny how I now largely prefer his anime design and personality, even if it's altogether not that different!

Fun fact, when I first started reading, before I had started watching the anime (and even for a bit after I had started), the voice I had for Joker in my head was the same as Kaito's, from Magic Kaito- which, as far as anime goes, would be from Detective Conan and Magic Kaito 1412, specifically. Even if he seemed older, at least in looks, in my head he very much still read as a bratty teenager, it would seem.

I know there's a common thing of "christians are christians because they haven't actually read the bible" but I actually grew up being told to read the entire bible once a year once I learned to read. I even had a NIV kids' one with a checklist that had you read a certain amount per day. I only ever read my daily amount when forced to by my youth group or family members that did read the whole thing once per year and even then I usually faked it until they left me alone

I know I’m trying to vent less here but god do I wanna complain about the sims 4 community because it has such incredibly terrible viewpoints on money and labour and it is increasingly draining on me to not just open up the subreddit and tell them they’re all wrong lmao :’)

#specifically making custom content is a HUGE thing #explicitly allowed by EA #not just to make it but to charge money for early access #i.e. you host content on patreon and patrons get it a week or two early #a LOT of people do that and make money that way #there also used to be a lot of straight-up paid CC but EA finally clarified last year they don't want that #obviously this is a really great way for people capable of 3d modeling to make extra money #especially since you don't need great language skils and there are a lot of international cc makers #so you'd think the community would like. be happy abt poor people being able to make money. esp from poorer countries. #especially since it's really not hard to download cc you can't currently afford so there aren't exactly real restrictions on it #N O P E #they fuckin.
