3: 1-3 games you’ve played in the past 12 months that you really enjoyed

its.. its been mostly pokemon. but, splatoon 3, pokemon usum/sm ( ive been playing moon and ultra moon side by side ) and uhhh.. what else... oh! bugsnax is very fun. Play bugsnax. ( honorable mentions; miitopia is very fun and has a lengthy(?) main and postgame, and chicory: a colorful tale is good and underrated pleaaase play it. )

11: Do you prefer ‘blank slate’ main characters you make yourself or otherwise project onto, or characters with a set personality and backstory?

this ones long, sorry. anyways, honest to god i mostly just remake my ocs in 'em. mocha and pink are the usual choices for oc-inserts into any game with character customization - stardew, terraria, pokemon games with customization, lobcorp technically with custom sprites, i sometimes cosplay them in ACNH or splatoon 3, etc. i don't actually own that many games that allow you to customize characters which is a damn shame bc i love any game that allows for it and i need more, there just isnt a super easy way to find them. mocha ( alter ) also likes. ones that have that and romance because hes sappy.

actually speaking of the pokemon games with customization, on a first playthrough of a pokemon game ( or on the main savefile now that the switch is a thing and you can actually have multiple saves by technicality ) i will just make the protagonist myself, usually just named aria. its what i've done since they added customization in x/y. and then in replays, i'll do the oc thing and make specific oc teams and naming themes that fit that oc ( eg, mocha having a lot of coffee or food named pokemon. ) i also do this in games that dont have customization like bw/bw2, its just a little less fun since i cant customize anything.

current ones im actively doing with that rn are scrap in pkmn moon and bit in pokemon ultra moon, along with mocha in another playthrough of pkmn violet. ( he found a shiny nacli???? which fits bc. hey. food pokemon. he named it after some yellow or orange seasoning i forgot the name of since its shiny makes its salt orange-y. it might've been amarillo? )

it also uh works cuz these people r. in my head. cuz. cuz DID. i can get input from them or they can play it themselves if they want. yahoo.

if the game has very limited character customization but you do play a character like for example bugsnax where you can only change the fur but you are playing as someone unique in a sense, i usually will think abt it later and make an oc out of it if i have the time or energy. i don't think abt my "buddy" in bugsnax much, but i should.

20: A boss you think is really cool

god, i do NOT think abt bosses often bc most of the games i play like. have them? but not in a traditional sense.

hm. anyways horrorboros ( splat 3 salmon run ) bc its the easiest king salmonid and i just really like the gimmick of its fight ( WAYYY more than cohozuna fuck cohozuna ). there's also been a good chunk of times where the timer is a few seconds away but me or someone else gets the final hit in JUST in time ( see here ) and its just fun.

ok. this one is a special interest and its EVERY YEAR but this year theres been more updates in fanwork so i just been Taken Again by The Murder comic and this old ass horror drama fic. its incurable. ive come to reconcile how i feel abt this fucking twink.

6. No Straight Roads

GREAT game, one of the greatest soundtracks of the year NO JOKE, just , watch it, play it, AT LEAST listen to it, please for my wife EVE, EVE my beloved.

7. The Owl House

I ALMOST FORGOT ABOUT IT ! its just , what a comforting and genuinely well made show , i cant wait for season 2 , its just , its HAS FLAVOR it has SPIRIT. fuck everything else (but i still got finish Kipo dont sue me)

8. Half Life VR but the AI is self aware

listen. who am i kidding , i got caught up in the hlvrai crazy train too, its a legitimately fun series of videos , and im holding Tommy Coolatta´s hand as we speak.

9. Carmen Sandiego

where in the world is carmen... sandiego... IN MY HEART!

10. Green Eggs and Ham

the amount of work this series has, the heart it has , it was just a fun and loving series .. i also watched it with my bf who i got to meet irl and i felt great about that

8. Macross music , Plus singles , Frontier singles (ive been listening to new songs that been released through the Uta Macross Smartphone Deculture game, “Good Job!” makes me feel just...happy? this is the only idol adjacent media i can take.)

9. Neil Cicierega Mouth Dreams album (im not rlly lemon demon fan but his Sounds albums im very much obsessed with, this one was such a hit)

today was also really nice and chill. I spent most of it playing Pokemon black, but my ds died and I lost a couple hours of progress cuz I forgot to save oops. at first I was mad so I took a little break but then I realized that just means I get to play more Pokemon and I got through that section faster than the first time. I DID have a WACK dream last night tho, and I shared it with my friends. for context I had a fake memory about a class book from middle school about a scientist who was negligent to the people around him and only cared about his invention and was punished for it.

The entire dream (or what I remember of it) started off with me hanging out in my front yard with my family and I saw a shooting star. It tumbled and made a sparkling sound as it went across the sky. A whole meteor shower started and following each Star was an aurora Borealis that looked like animated animals. We shouted for the whole street to come out and watch. A voice spoke up, the one responsible for the shooting stars, and we learned her name (it started with an a and had an m in there but I can’t remember now. She did more and more crazy shit, like making another earth appear in the sky right next to the moon. She wanted to help all humans but didn’t know how space physics worked so everything felt weird on earth. She created and destroyed an entire galaxy and I watched through a glass door. I dozed off and when I woke up, I was in a mall with a blizzard outside and people needing to be let in. A whole crowd of people were already inside. We let them in and there was a mad dash to find hazmat suits, but I stole a fluffy blanket from bath and body works. I ran around for a while in a labyrinth of girl hotel rooms until the part of the dream based on the book started up. It also kinda mixed with the game Bugsnax. I was the inventor, and my invention was a golden gilded toilet that supposedly would give you a liger life or reincarnate you. I lived with a bunch of other people in my irl bedroom but bigger. Everyone got along but I was a little distant from everyone, caring more about my possessions than the others. Every time I was selfish or distant or negligent, more and more tiny gummy hands showed up in the hallway (which was a big problem? It’s implied they came from people) A crazy old man would sometimes talk to me to ty and make me feel guilty and talk some sense into me but I ignored him. The gummy hands built up so I swept them away out of sight, but I knew that wouldn’t solve the problem. When I showed more remorse for my broken lamp than my fellow roommate, I walked into the living room to find a lumpy beginning of a humanoid figure slumped in the chair formed out of gummy. I knew this meant that it was growing and dangerous, and would become a killer once full grown. But instead of changing my actions I hid it in a closet out of shame and fear and covered it in my own blankets. The dream changed before I could get back to my room, switching to me showing my teacher an animation I made in middle school the first time I read this book. The scientist had a dead wife and young daughter, and as he continued to focus on his machine the landscape turned into gummy and eyes formed on the trees until one day the gummy man appeared at the door where everyone lived and had whip blade hands and attacked everyone. My dream spiraled in a feedback loop of recounting what happened in my dream until I woke up

I went out driving with my dad and we did a little bit of shopping. we stopped at a couple hunting stores looking for electric socks but neither had them. the first one smelled like a jc penny with copious amounts of underwear for sale and had a couple old trucks/tractors on display and the other looked like a bass pro shop on the inside with taxidermy everywhere and a waterfall with live fish at the bottom and it was amazing to look at but it also had guns and ammo for sale. both were very yeeyee but I still thought the second place was cool. we stopped in at Michael’s for thread and picked up a couple snacks on the way out while we were at it. I tried strawberry pocky for the first time and it smelled very staggery nisquick-y but didn't taste very good so I gave it to my sister. they also had these candies that my family used to get ALL THE TIME from this one Walmart that we can never find anymore so we simultaneously gasped when we saw the packaging and bought it. I also got a small skein of yarn and squre of crayon patterned fabric.

once we got home dad realized we had cherry tomatoes we need to get rid of soon so tomorrow I’m gonna make a really good dinner of feta pasta, baked fish, and steamed broccoli and its gonna be amazing im already hungry. but maybe thats because it’s almost 4 am and the last time I ate was before midnight and that was just half a sandwich and I was hungry before that. I'll try to go to bed soon because you can't be hungry when you’re alseep ;) plus I should anyway

I was petting my cat and realized I could feel her ribs with my fingers, so I'm gonna try to maybe feed her more or add stuff to her food to try and thicken her up just a little bit because im worried about her being too SKInny
