someone said Charles had a competency link and this is the reason of his non-ending talks and smiles about Max and since then I can’t look at Lestappen the same👀if you think about it, why would he keep Max points in WDC on his phone??????(he changed it for to himself now but still)

His competency kink might also have a thing in this 😳😳 but I think there is more at play here:

Charles is the kind of person who is very guarded against a perceived threat. He used to be so reserved and awkward around Seb, too, at the beginning.

It was the same with Max. I think he had been quite prejudiced about Max's personality and carried on his childhood/teenage resentment with him into his F1 career. His ideas about him seem to have gradually changed as they started to race each other and share podiums as adults in F1.

Max is a very amicable guy who is also open and sincere in the way he approaches people. A complete opposite to the way Charles is a closed off person who opens up in time. Max is very approachable and open and only closes off if he realizes his sentiments aren't returned or shared.

Imagine the way Charles must have felt marveled at the way Max acted after getting to know him better. A complete opposite of what his teenage self created in his head to hate... It must have been a ride to see how Max is not the villain/demon/crass guy that he used to believe/everyone tries to make others believe Max to be.

The guy who you hate and everyone says is a bad guy approaches you with a huge smile and never badmouths you even though you have some trouble on the track with him, always seeks you out and talks as if you guys have been fast friends since forever... the shock, the pleasant surprise, the heart palpitations 🤣

There is also this absolutely delicious thing that I love the MOST about their current dynamic which plays into the "Max fell first but Charles fell harder" trope which I can talk about for hours:

The idea of Charles falling for Max despite himself. The way he sees love as his own destruction/surrender/loss and fears it more than death, yet he also can't escape it and first tries to find a way to get out and then tries to find a way to survive it. And fail and realize that Max is inevitable and accepting it and taking a leap of faith in himself is worth it and what he should have done right from the start.

Irl, he was fighting it, trying to stay aloof, because he must have seen getting close to his rival as a form of failure, but he is slowly realizing that it is not so bad.

If they actually fight for a championship tooth and nail, we'll see what this UST will make of them.

Bucky gets overwhelmed when Sam's laid out in front of him. He has to take a few seconds to breathe, close his eyes even. Sam enjoys this immensely

7 and 17 for the fandom ask game, for your choice of Myka Bering, Helena Wells, or both!

7) Is there a piece of clothing you think Myka is particularly fond of/that you imagine them wearing a lot or like to draw them in?

I like their Warehouse 2 outfit (combats and t-shirt). It’s a good middle ground between more professional attire (often a t-shirt but tailored slacks) and the mission leather from episode 3 was it? The one with the guillotine. Anyway the combats and t-shirt look comfortable and are practical.

I suppose this is why I like it for them. But I do also think Myka would like it. I think she likes her more ‘traditional’ federal agent outfit as kind of armor? Like she puts it on and she’s at work. The more casual mission outfit doesn’t have that but then the Warehouse is more of a family/place to call home than just a job. I think it fits her personality. Like maybe a callback to some awkward teenage years kind of comfort. I think Myka has grown more comfortable with her femininity as she has got older but I think she still likes to be judged as a person, not on her looks. I don’t know if that makes sense?

17) What's a book, movie, or show you think Myka would like?

Myka is obviously all about the books. I mean it’s pretty canon that she likes the classics but I also feel like she likes to read widely so she’ll hit up the bestseller lists etc.

That’s a pretty boring answer though. I don’t think she gets a lot of time to watch TV/movies because what time she has, she would usually choose to read a book. However she has to have at least one ‘guilty pleasure’ show. Given that she knew Pete’s redshirt reference and her age, and also the awkwardness I headcanon for her teenage years. I feel like Star Trek is something she wouldn’t admit to watching, but would find comfort in. Like before the warehouse, it was a world that imagined a future where being different was ok. So I guess in some ways why I like Trek 😛

7) Is there a piece of clothing you think Helena is particularly fond of/that you imagine them wearing a lot or like to draw them in?

I think Helena would appreciate a lot of ‘modern fashion’ because of how free it is in comparison to the 19th century. She wore trousers back then but not all the time. I feel like she would like to deliberately do the different thing now. Like wear a suit to a fancy party rather than a dress (you can see this if you look up Hustle photos btw, Jaime wore a tux once and a suit a couple of times). But obviously Helena is very comfortable with her feminine wiles and more than happy to make them work for her, so there tends to be a subtle sexuality to all her outfits it feels.

Anyway I think her favourite might be the painted on jeans, and loose cotton shirt, as she has worn variations of that quite a lot.

17) What's a book, movie, or show you think Helena would like?

I feel like Helena isn’t much of a media fan. I just can’t see her sitting still long enough to really get into anything. She likes to do. Attention span is short unless she is hyper focused on an invention/case. I think she would definitely want to watch the big cultural heavy hitters - like Star Wars movies and the like. And I think she would be impressed by the special effects. I can see her wanting to have a go herself and maybe making a short 5 minute film or something. (Also maybe she would want to make a lightsaber, and Claudia is definitely not helping).

Which is your favorite demon?

Oh man oh jeeze. Dont nerf me for this bc the favoritism started long before I knew anything about Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss but … Stolas.

I loved the idea of a demon who literally just teaches people things long forgotten or forbidden by the church. Especially so when he’s an owl because I also love owls. And to be a Prince of Hell and just be vibing and reading the stars and like, doing botany and flying around? He just sounded the coolest and I’ve been fascinated since like 2012 probably.

But also of course I love Helluva Boss Stolas too. A very fun and interesting depiction of this demon. 💚

one game with Charles in padel and Max is more obsessed than ever👀it was so funny and cute, he keeps tapping him like bro he listening to you, he isn’t leaving ….

Imagine a desperate to be understood Max urgently holding onto Charles, slowly backing him off into a corner, leaving him no room to run off with his hands and arms and body at the littlest of hints of Charles might be wanting to go away and leave him before he can make him understand his situation, all the while without even realizing he is literally trapping him... But his touch or hold not hurting or forceful at all, it is almost like he is beseeching Charles to stay and just let him talk and he is panicking. And then Charles just takes a step and hugs him gently and that stuns Max into silence for a moment. Then Charles says, "I am here, I'll listen, I promised you that I'll always listen, didn't I?" And that makes Max slump against him and break into tears.

Or,

Charles enjoys drawing all of Max's attention so he acts skittish around him on purpose just so that he can provoke Max's need to communicate not just verbally but also physically, too. He innocuously takes a small step to the right, Max follows as if he is on a leash and Charles pretends to be interested in his water bottle and Max just touches on his arm gently to make him look at him again or tap on his shoulder or back, his touch lingering more than it is necessary. Works like a magic everytime, because Max is so predictable and Charles loves being touched by him so much without making him realize what's actually going on.

Bucky's phone rang for the fourth time.

"You should get that," Sam panted, though he didn't let go of Bucky's hair to facilitate that happening.

It didn't matter. "Not for half a million dollars," Bucky rejected instantly. He put his mouth back against Sam's neck, working a bruise up to the surface just to prove some point that they'd both forgotten about at that point.

"It could be important," Sam said, half of the thought getting lost in a gasp.

Bucky settled his weight against Sam more firmly, hips pressing into Sam's, thighs holding Sam's apart, even thought he little sleeper couch in the cabin was definitely not big enough for this. "I don't care. Not as important as you."

So true, Sam agreed to himself. If it wasn't for the fact that Bucky's phone was on the floor, so it was vibrating half the ship with each ring, he'd be more than happy to let Bucky ignore it.

It began to ring for a fifth time.

Sam sighed and pushed Bucky back, which wasn't super successful, but he managed to free an arm and could grab the phone. If it meant he strained up against Bucky's flushed body to use him as an anchor, so be it.

"Cass texted you a bunch of nonsense about a countdown. Sarah called you three times. The last two were Cass. Oh, he just texted again to say that... 'Mom's on her way. SOS.' What's that mean? Why are you two in trouble with Sarah?"

"Oh, shit," Bucky acknowledged for the first time in a while. He scrabbled to get off of Sam and only managed to fall flat on his face in the process when his hand slipped off the edge of the cot.

Like some kind of stage cue, Sarah walked into the cabin just as Bucky was extricating his face from Sam's chest. Her mouth curled to one side, completely unimpressed, and she crossed her arms.

"I said distract him. Not steal him away for the whole afternoon."

"That's not my fault," Bucky said. "He's too distractible."

"You're too distractible," she accused. "People have been waiting for half an hour."

"Waiting on what?" Sam asked, shoving Bucky back so they could both sit up. "Distract me from--- Oh."

Sarah threw her hands up in the air and Bucky had the decency to look sheepish. "Can you pretend to be surprised?" he asked.

"I knew I shoulda just brought everyone out here. Given you a real surprise," Sarah added.

"Y'all planned a whole party for me?" Sam asked, feeling deeply touched even while Bucky was getting the Sarah Wilson Special as far as eye daggers went. Sam hadn't seen some of these looks since high school.

"Well, Sarah did most of the planning," Bucky admitted.

"He had one job this whole time!"

"I did my job!" Bucky defended. He threw an arm around Sam's shoulders and grinned in a way that would get him out of a lot of trouble, but not this trouble. "I kept him distracted."

"Just get your thick heads to the house. Please and thank you. And I'm not leaving this boat until you two stand up."

Pointedly, Sam stood up. Reluctantly, Bucky followed.

"A whole surprise party, huh?" Sam asked, hooking his fingers in Bucky's belt loops to tug him forward.

"My job was also to make sure you weren't out of state when it was happening," Bucky added with a pleased little grin. "I kept you home for three whole days."

"Yeah, I bet you were just out there single handedly defeating aliens," Sam agreed. He leaned in for a series of short kisses and had to duck out of the way when Bucky went for his neck again.

"Wait a minute," he said, letting go of Bucky to bring his fingers up to his neck. Judging by the way Bucky was already creeping to the door, he knew the answer. "Did you just put a hickey on my neck before I go see everyone?"

"No one will be able to tell!" Bucky called as he dashed out of the cabin and across the deck to the pier.

Sam was quickly after him, the boat rocking behind them.

3) Least favorite canon thing about James Watson?

The fact that he died at the end of season 1? I have headcanons to fix it, and I know that the actor was just a guest star, but I still wish. I think he was only in 5 episodes but he has such importance in my mind, he’s more of a main character than actual main characters to me. That answer feels a bit of a cop-out. I suppose… he was judgy for a minute with Helen in Tempus. I wasn’t fond of that but it didn’t last and a century of time travel would be a lot for anyone to just roll with.

16) What's your least favorite ship for James?

I will check the AO3 tags! Wow ok… yikes. There’s a real variety which I was not expecting. I have been in fandom long enough I should not be surprised and yet I am. There’s James/Will which no, just no. I think the one I have to go with is disliking the most is James/Ashley which… I do try and be ship and let ship but Ashley is Helen’s daughter! and so to me that is like James’ daughter and so I am shuddering. Absolutely not.

8) What's something the fandom does when it comes to John that you despise?

lol well you kinda already know this as I used it as my “unpopular opinion”. The abusive wife-beating misogynistic bastard. That answer feels a bit redundant as you knew that. It’s the only one I really have though.

John is mostly just reduced to the Ripper. I have done that a lot too because it is such a pivotal storyline. It changed everything and then it lasted for well over a century. It is a fascinating arc. So I definitely don’t despise that but he is a character apart from that too. There was a before, and there could be an after.

24) What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?

Oh! I think I talked about this once before - Rumplestiltskin.

The whole “possessed by an evil demon” which is like an insidious inner voice that twists everything. I’m pretty sure I made a gifset about this once. Oh yeah here it is. The transition is a bit quick. I should fix that but hopefully the sentiment can be seen.

Head canon time

Rhaenys was the one that told Rhaenyra her mother passed away. After Corlys tells her, she goes to Laena all while looking at Rhaenyra. The scene sorta cuts off but rhaenys head in the direction of Rhaenyra too.

Ooh, a headcanon!

I think Rhaenys telling Rhaenyra would have been such an interesting scene to watch, considering the dynamic of their relationship (even though at this point, they've never interacted on-screen).

She has a certain sympathy that Viserys doesn't have because he doesn't know what it feels like to have your body essentially ripped in half to child that may or may not live. But Rhaenys knows how that feels, she's been through it. Twice (maybe more).

So, I feel like Rhaenys delivering the news to Rhaenyra makes much more sense emotionally because of the fact that she could probably curb Rhaenyra's temper after finding out, she is able to ground Rhaenyra in a way most people cannot.

Plus, I'm assuming Viserys is little busy wallowing in his own grief, so... there's that too.
