What the Lost boys think about vampire related media
Fluff, x reader but just barely
Tumblr media
•While making conversation with your four Vampire lovers you were suddenly plagued with a question.
“How do you guys feel about vampire related media?”
-That question was an immediate head turner. The cave goes dead quite before Dwayne speaks up, “Well…vampires are in hiding so…”
-This sparks a conversation about how media representation of vampires may not be accurate, but that's a good thing. “If a book or movie comes out and it is shockingly accurate to what being a vampire is really like, the creator isn't going to last long.” David explained
-That's because there's a set of rules vampires have to follow and one of those rules is to never publicly reveal your double life identity
-”If something like that comes out, that means a vampire has broken that rule OR somebody knows vampires very closely and is creating media they know shouldn't exist.”
-Turns out if a vampire breaks that rule it's basically open season to kill and destroy their creations.
•You turn the conversation and begin to ask how they, specifically, feel about certain vampire representation
•Bram Stoker's Dracula
-Dwayne is the first to buy in his opinion.
-Dwayne feels that while it is a cult classic and well written, The characters are exceedingly dumb.
-”Johnathan spends a ridiculous amount of time talking about other characters ‘Breasts’ and trying to figure out why his host climbs walls ‘like a lizard's.”
-David is the next one to speak up
-David thinks it's not really worth the read
-”Unless you're trying to brag to people there's no point in reading it.”
-”Also why was Mina talking to that old sailor so much?”
-Paul laughs as he remembers “how fucking crazy he wrote Dracula to be”
-”I'm pretty sure the real Dracula thinks it's a heinous crime against him”
-Paul hasn't read it but have heard enough about it to know even the more obscure references
-Marko comments on the graceful writing style and the beautiful descriptions
-”I've only read it because Dwayne thought I would like it"
-Marko also loves how oblivious Jonathan and most of the other characters are
-All of them think the movie adaptation is hilarious and love the shitty special effects
•Interview with a vampire
-Paul chimes in immediately
-”God it's so homo erotic it hurts…in a good way.”
-Paul thinks its a nice horror novel mixed with a weird cozy atmosphere
-Dwayne thinks it's another well written classic and He actually begins to rave about all the themes involved within Anne Rice’s work
-”It's a beautiful Gothic thriller with a deep, sadly comedic energy.”
-He even offers to read it too you sometime
-Marko chimes in quickly about “Claudia’s rebellious behavior and persona”
-”imagine watching your family choose somebody else over you. It's so deeply upsetting but to an understandable level.”
-”I would have hated to turn so young. I look like a teenager and other people can respect that to a certain point. But being five years old with the mind of an adult, No one would respect you.”
-Marko relates to Claudia on an internal level and loves unraveling her character. When you ask why he quickly responds "Some people call me a cherub... You think I enjoy that?"
-David says he doesn't have much to say other than it was a decent read (That's his version of a compliments)
•Twilight
-All of them agree that it's laughably horrendous
-Almost immediately at the same time they say “This is the skin of a killer Bella”
-This leads to banshee like laughter
David speaks up immediately
-”Why do you humans want us to sparkle so bad?”
-”I personally hate the idea of being a walking disco ball, but to each their own.”
-Marko chimes in quickly
-”Would you like it if we sparkled?” He asked while leans on you affectionately
-Marko thinks the only reason to read it is to have a nice laugh
-”Why did Edward have such a violent reaction of Bella standing by a fan? That makes no sense…like I have mates and I enjoy the smell of you guys but…I'm not nearly clawing off my face at your smell”
-”Yeah yeah, I get he's trying not to overreact but running out of class to get away is crazy.”
-Paul even adds that even thought it's very dumb even he can appreciate the message it's trying to said.
-”something something, coming over adversary, something something, love wins, something something..”
-”Also that Jacob imprinting on Bella's infant daughter is super fucking creepy.”
-when you asked Dwayne about his feels he scoffed and said It's insulting at best and borderline sexual harassment at worst.
-He refused to go into depth
•You thank them for humoring you and they tell you that it's no problem
-David kisses the side of your head in an uncharacteristically soft way “We don't ever mind answering your vampire related question.” He tells you
-Marko turns to you “But seriously do you want us to sparkle?”
-”I think I have some roll on body glitter somewhere..” Paul says while getting up to look for it
Thanks for reading <3

Anonymous: How dare you break my heart like that with the latest Alcina fic. I demand (but in a polite way. Like a really polite way) that you make a fluffy one with maid!reader who's quite strong and Alcina has a big ass crush on them so the girls would constantly ask for help lifting the most random stuff whenever Alcina is around so she would gay panic (uno reverse card tall vampire lady!) and it doesn't help that reader is also a big flirt but only with her. Bonus points if the reader is also quite tall and is actually strong enough to lift Alcina. I saw a post with Alcina being a blushing mess and now I want more so there's that. Thank you!
I must confess that I have no idea what fic is being referenced at the beginning of this ask lol. But, this is a really great prompt! Reader, as usual, is gender neutral. Let’s get into it!
You had been working at the castle for a few days. It’s kind of an intense environment. There is always work to be done, but you have definitely been given a lot of the tasks that involve heavy lifting… Okay, damn near every task that requires a lot of physical labor. You don’t mind. It feels nice to have something you’re good at.
You have always been a bit of a misfit in the village. You’re incredibly tall compared to pretty much everyone. You also have a very muscular form from working various jobs such as carpentry and farming. You can come off as very… Intimidating, shall we say? However, you’re really just secretly longing for company.
One morning, you have your first encounter with Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters: Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela. They are… Interesting.
“Holy crap, Hercules! Anyone ever teach you to fight with these massive paws?!” Cassandra says as she compares how large your hand is in relation to her own.
You instantly blanch at the comment which makes Daniela coo at how shy you are. “Oh, It’s okay, tough stuff.” She says, patting your shoulder. “Cassie is just being mean!” She says and sticks her tongue out at her sister. “I bet you’re a gentle giant!” She gushes.
Your cheeks are now flaming red. “I… I, um-” You stammer.
“Cool it, you two!” Bela admonishes her sisters before turning to you apologetically. “I am so sorry about my crazy sisters.” She says and gestures at the brunette and redhead. “I’m Bela. What’s your name?” She asks warmly.
You smile at her, thankful to not be gawked at. “I’m Y/N.” You say.
“Oh, now I get it. I heard Mother talking about you! She never remembers any of the castle staff.” Dani says. “I heard her ask one of the maids to tell her more about a certain ‘Huge and strong servant’. You’re definitely her type.” Dani giggles wildly.
Your stance becomes rigid and you clench your teeth in discomfort. Lady Dimitrescu… You’d seen her around the castle and… She’s definitely your type. But, you’d never let yourself become emotionally invested. She’s your boss and off-limits. It doesn’t matter if you think she’s gorgeous because she’d never give you the time of day. Alright? Feelings appropriately squashed? Great. Let’s continue.
Suddenly, a very devilish look overcomes Bela… The sister who you thought was the most well-adjusted. She eagerly pulls Dani and Cass away from you and the three huddle in a nearby corner to talk.
You assume that you have been dismissed so you return to your daily tasks. What a crazy trio.
Over the next couple of days, you start getting bizarre requests from the sisters.
“Y/N, can you pick up this couch and move it to the other side of the room?” Cassandra orders one day.
You raise an eyebrow, but quickly nod your head. “Of course.” You say. You easily grab the couch around its middle and carry it all the way across the room. When you’re finished, you look up to see… Lady Dimitrescu… Right in front of you… Face-to-face. When did she get here?
Alcina did not expect to get so turned on by someone she barely knows. This is torture. Her usually calm but commanding presence is failing her.
Your thoughts are all over the place, but you take in the sight of Alcina’s red cheeks. She looks completely flushed. She must be hot! Do something, Y/N!
“My Lady, may I go grab you a glass of cold water? You look a bit peaked.” You say, hoping you haven’t offended her.
Alcina’s face only becomes hotter as she hears your voice. To be honest, she’s been fervently imagining what it sounds like. But your real voice is even better than in her dreams. Alcina finally snaps out of her gay panic as you look at her before clearing her throat. “I… Um, I just need… Some air, that’s all.” She squeaks out and leaves as fast as possible.
Before you can ask Cassandra what that was all about, she swarms away. Of course. You hope you didn’t just fuck things up.
Later on, Alcina and Bela are playing chess and you are assigned to bring them tea. Everything seems to be going fine right now. Alcina looks better than she did earlier. However, at one point in the game, Bela “Accidentally” drops one of her pawns on the floor and it rolls underneath a giant grandfather clock not too far away.
Bela clucks her tongue before asking if you wouldn’t mind moving the clock to get the piece.
Alcina’s eyebrows shoot up at this. “Bela, that clock is easily hundreds of pounds-” She begins.
But, you easily lift the clock up and move it over. “Here it is, Lady Bela!” You say, happy to have found the little pawn. You hand it back to Bela, who can’t help the self-satisfied grin she’s wearing. She’s a genius.
Alcina is red hot. Again. Just how strong are you?! She tries to continue playing and focus on the game, but on the inside she is freaking out. Her mind eventually wanders to the idea of you easily scooping her up into your arms in a show of romantic passion. She’s certain you could hold her without breaking a sweat and that feels… Nice. Normal. She hasn’t been held in so long. It’s torment to have you to rile up these deep fantasies, but… She just knows you would take excellent care of her.
Alcina looks to you out of the corner of her eye, before politely excusing herself from the game with the lame reasoning of needing to get work done.
Bela smiles and nods at her mother. Mission accomplished. Just wait till her sisters find out about this!
You and Alcina are both completely smitten with each other… What could the future hold?

That one line from Raphael's Second Diary will never cease to get me 🥺 LIKE MIGHT I ADD- these are his private thoughts, separate from his manipulation attempts and so he, with his full chest, admits so much in his second diary, like when he says "never have I been so attracted to mortals as I am to those infested by the tadpole." AHH, (my delusions are so real, trust)
BUT WHEN HE SAYS "They gestured to the melting hooks, suddenly glanced my way, and in their face I saw they had the best of me." look, I get the subtext behind all these quotes, but a girl can just ignore all that media literacy and take it for face value, OK? 💅 but also reading into it, he does admire Tav to a certain extent, and I have to wonder, why? Tav isn't an origin character and Tav's actions and character basically changes with every playthrough (Same with Durge, as they can change too) So I have to wonder if it's because Tav is controlled by the player, since, Raphael does end up breaking the fourth wall in his epilogue speech, so perhaps that's what he sees.
Another way to look at it is, either way, no matter what the playthrough, he sees something in Tav, something that makes them stand out much brighter than their companions (For some reason???)
To further that statement, what is the best of Raphael? I mean, if its an evil playthrough, that would be obvious, but if you're playing a good playthrough, what then? perhaps what he sees is someone he can finally use to get the crown, that's also very likely. Still though that's a very to the point (IMO) not as interesting of a reading since it's literally just his end goal for us, BUT STILL A VALID ONE, because, it is true, that's what he wants from us the most.
Also his third diary where he just straight up admits that he's being so honest with us so he can manipulate us, love that for him, "I am master here. A prince of bargains cloaked like scarlet satin. All that hidden under sublimely obvious truths that cannot be discounted." Which also makes me wonder, is Raphael actually an honest person? I mean, Korilla thinks he's at least decent, but honest? outside of helping us, if we look at Yurgir, he really fucked him over lol. Obviously, Raphael isn't what he seems, even if he's honest with us, to what extent? he says it himself, he's honest about "...sublimely obvious truths..." but what about when he says he's grown quite fond of us in his own way, HMMMM?
I wish this man got a proper story arc in the game, outside of the whole deal for the hammer and House of Hope, that's all plot related for the hammer, but a storyline about Raphael as a character? I mean yea, maybe that would whisk away some of his mystery, his intrigue, but I'm sorry- you cant just end it with him fucking himself (poorly) and trying to break Hope (making her a metaphorical symbol of hope anyway, I think....) AND LEAVE IT THERE?!?!? at the same time, I do like the ambiguity of his character, you could think of him as a cruel bastard after seeing what he's done in the House Of Hope to his debtors and Hope herself or perhaps just a Pathetic lil guy who's shit in bed lol, or maybe even soft, if you go off Korillas words and what he does for us in game he can come across as quite nice, especially after we've interacted with Mizora who's is the only other Cambion example we can go off of.
I also just think it's interesting that he sees anything in Tav/Durge at all. Ofc he says he sees the best of him (Always gotta relate back to himself lol) but that especially a mortal is what he could see himself, the best of himself, but then again he does see potential and ambition as admirable (?) or just something he appreciates, you can see that with Mol and Gortash to some extent anyway, But what ambitions does Tav have outside of just trying to survive? Like, the obvious answer is he wants us to give him the crown and we're the underdog in the story but then why does he refer to Tav so differently then? I fear this has turned into another rant again, lol.
Just a final thought here, but, if he did ever get a story arc, similar to the companions, would they give you multiple directions to take his character? i mean with Shadowheart for example, you could help her break from shar or have her fully convert into shars chosen, but even then, if you free her from shar theres the point of saving her family or freeing her from Shars (curse?) there's multiple ways for her story to end. Though, Raphael isnt a companion, so would he have something similar to idk a minor companion like Halsin or Minthara, who don't really have that much of a diversion (I think) in their endings, they don't really have the option, only really if the player decides to be evil or not, they kinda just follow them either way, it doesn't really impact their own stories. Obviously, I would prefer something with nuance but also, HE ISN'T A COMPANION 😭 and pressingly some of the companions need more work done than he does atm lol. Maybe that's me just projecting lol, once again, me wanting to have my cake and eat it too, anyway, that's me done... for now lol

( My position on Longevity research) I believe animal based research in this field is entirely unjustified, like with communicable diseases , “ no one dies of an infection or childbirth ( especially children) ” is a coherent theoretically achievable goal, with positive downstream effects ( lower fertility rates, fewer future meat-eaters, ) , but people can’t achieve immortality, A human life will always be a minute point of the universe, Immortality is a white whales gigantic maw, How many lives will you sacrifice trying to satiate its endless stomach. How much commodification and torture of your fellow beasts until your satisfied?
"can we engineer solutions to the individual biological effects of natural aging" is an empirical question that has nothing to do with philosophical-aesthetic considerations like "what is the relative measure of a human life in the grand sweep of the universe." i think one reason a lot of transhumanists get really annoyed by these conversations is that they think they're having a conversation about where incremential improvements in medical technology are leading, and how nice it would be to make diseases like cancer and dementia a thing of the past, and to stave off things like age-related cognitive decline or sensory impairment, and then the person they're talking to will suddenly go off on a tangent on, like, the sources of essential meaning for human existence.
and it's disingenuous as hell! or it feels that way--because ultimately what you have to confront is that sooner or later, if you take an out-and-out anti-immortality position (contingent on the answer to the empirical question of "can we indefinitely stave off most of the effects of aging" being "yes") that grandma has to die pissing and shitting herself and not knowing what year it is or who her grandkids are because A Human Life is a Minute Point in the Universe, and nobody actually thinks that's a reasonable proposition.
like, we've made real gains in cancer treatment in the last few decades; cancer is an age-related illness; should we stop researching cancer treatments because A Human Life is a Minute Point in the Universe? dementia is virtually exclusively a disease of age; should we stop researching treatments for dementia because A Human Life is a Minute Point in the Universe? at a certain point you have to own up to your principles and say which lines of medical research you oppose because A Human Life is a Minute Point in the Universe, and it's more important that we all be incredibly aware of that at all times than your kids getting to have meaningful memories and connections with your parents or w/e.
Like jesus, what even is that last bit of nonsense? Barrings some really unexpected turn of events in the biomedical sciences, it seems likely to me that one day--not soon, mind you, but one day--human lifespans might start regularly surpassing the hard ~100 year limit that they have right now, even if we don't aim at "immortality" as such as a goal. Medical science is good, it's getting better, and lots of smart people are highly interested in questions like "how can we improve people's lives and reduce their suffering?" So when do you say "no more"? When do you start going around to old folks' homes and executing people whom you personally deem have lived too long?
It just seems like a really weird ethical stance that nobody who argues for has really thought through. And when all you can do is spin airy-fairy philosophical reasons to justify that stance, when you are inventing reasons that a thing is bad, like imagining some kind of abstract machine into which monkeys are dumped in one end and additional average life expectancy years come out the other, I can't help but think you don't actually have a coherent idea about why the things you oppose are bad.
The ethics of the use of live animals in medical research is a totally valid conversation to have, but it's a different conversation. Its answer does not impinges on the empirical question of whether functional immortality will ever be possible, or desirable. If you want to have that conversation, go ahead, but please let's not have it in my ask box.

Cabin Pressure Advent Day 21: Uskerty
I absolutely adore this episode as the origin of my single favorite Cabin Pressure line: "You know, between the dames and the horses, sometimes I don't know why I even put my hat on." Nothing will ever beat it for me.
So yeah, this episode is super funny, but I do want to talk a bit about something that's come up as my go to "look, a THEME!" here- vulnerability. Because as I was listening, trying to figure out what I was taking away from this episode besides "this is all really funny and well plotted" because at a certain point that gets old, it struck me that there are ways that both of our (absolutely brilliant) pairings this episode really strike a chord when considering the role of vulnerability- and lack of it- in relationships.
This is a bit less so in the Douglas-Arthur pairing in this episode, which is inspired (and yay, there's finally a nice airport manager!)- there are brilliant set pieces, and the premise of the bar conversation allows two very different people to kind of sort of attempt to understand each other. There's also a really nice father/son element- we already can perceive, even if it's not said outright, that Arthur doesn't have much of a father figure- his life is very dominated by Carolyn's influence, even in the majority-male flight deck, in a way that I think even tints his interactions with Mr Birling about sports (there's a tinge of eagerness for acceptance), which he's clueless about. Would Arthur know more about sports if he'd had a dad who gave a shit about him? Who knows. But this episode giving him an older man who's willing to open an as-yet-shut door into a men's world that excites him.
The men's world is, of course, the world of the pub. We've already seen a glimpse of Douglas in that milieu in Kuala Lumpur, and usually I'd say the less said about that the better, but I think there's something interesting about how mean spirited and surfacey it could be there, alongside Arthur's misunderstanding what Douglas means about "talking about their lives." He asks a question that is so unexpectedly and deeply personal that Douglas isn't even upset that he asks, he understands that this is another rule of masculine bar/pub conversation that he has to teach Arthur. On a certain level, this is fine on its own- there's a time and place for everything- but if you look at it a certain way, it can reinforce tropes about men and expressing emotions and feelings. And yet... even by following the rules of pub chat that Douglas lays out for him, and trying to fall into its ritualistic norms (like creative insults), Arthur, in part through his own open-book vulnerability, is able to bring things to a place where Douglas is pretty unselfconsciously vulnerable himself, about the place in the world where he finds himself. And by the end, he's fallen more into Arthur's more atmospheric image of two men in a bar. He's loosened up, and isn't playing by the rules anymore. It's just really nice (in addition to being hilariously funny).
The Martin and Carolyn pairing is maybe a bit less novel than the Douglas and Arthur one, but it still works really well in this discussion of vulnerability. Both of them have had pretenses/barriers they try to keep up- and both, incidentally, are related to their own interest in expressing that they are in control- but by now Martin has learned enough to have started to relax his. This actually really helps, as his actions aren't hampered by pretense or pride- he's basically able to function ALMOST competently with the cabbie as a result. But Carolyn is almost on overtime trying to keep her barriers up against vulnerability and it is clearly driving her a bit bananas, hence her complete dysfunction this episode- she has to be ironic and invulnerable about her gift to Herc, to prove that she may be seeing him but she doesn't have feelings (which will of course come to haunt her in Vaduz), and as a result loses all her judgment. And her overtime craziness is, unusually enough, what causes Martin’s misfortune, not his own incompetence! He's the functional one here, not her, because unlike her he's not filtering all his behavior through this one very constricting lens.
Once Martin is able to open her up a bit in the discussion of his salary- where she starts off in control as the boss and is forced to face the fact that Martin is loyal to her even when he shouldn't be*, which could very easily pierce the defenses of her invulnerability as she has to accept this reality- she starts to mellow out. Whereas she starts off saying that she's “not a little old lady” so she can’t do the totally reasonable thing until Martin begs, afterward she manages to chill enough that she can do the, you know, sane thing even though it dings her a bit in the self-confidence. She's not quite as in thrall to her inner barriers anymore.
I'll just end off by saying- this episode may also, in addition to my favorite line, have my favorite closing lines of any episode, with the possible exception of Zurich 2. Though that one's mostly about the nostalgia and emotions. So maybe this is it.
*On this note- when did Martin stop looking for jobs? He was looking in Rotterdam… given my St Petersburg post I wonder if it was before or after that.

My attempt to fix Wish's plot
Things I would do to make Wish a better movie :D
Disclaimer: This is because I have too much free time on my hands and this seemed like a fun thing to do. This is all in good fun :).
Make Magnifico a normal citizen as opposed to King
Magnifico's song suggests he's unhappy with the respect he gets which doesn't really translate the evilness as much, it's more delusional(?) because he's the king and is treated like a celebrity, what respect is he not getting? Unless 7 kids questioning is enough to send him into a spiral but let's be honest he isn't very well written.
Now if we make him a common man who's only known for granting wishes, it paints a different picture. Why is he just a common man if he can grant almost any wish? This could be because of how the kingdom views him(the real villains in this version).
treating him nicely doesn't suit their ego because he's not royalty, he's a commoner who has magic powers
eliminating him after the reputation he's built for himself is too detrimental politically, as the citizens are too distracted to notice how bad the queen and all are.
This attitude makes the people kind of thankless towards him, especially since he only grants people their wishes once in 18 years (meaning 1 person can wish every 18 years and Magnifico will grant them after negotiating so as to keep it from going overboard). He's a resentful man who hates the situation he's caught up in.
No one ever asked Magnifico what his wish is, and when asked, he doesn't have an answer because he's never thought about it. His tragic past made him this person who wants to help people, but he got caught up so far along and his true meaning has been left so far behind he's hateful.
Asha should have a "selfish" wish
I feel if Asha had a normal optimistic wish, it would make her character more relatable, but also make her seem overly idealistic, which can be seen as obstacle for her to overcome over the course of the movie, and how rather than trying to wish the impossible, sometimes its better to let it go.
Her wish is to bring her dead father back to life.
Why i think is open to interpretation, but in a land where nearly any wish can be granted, her having an impossible wish seems like a good plot point.
The Plot
Asha turns 18 and can finally make her wish. She wishes for her dead father to come back to life. Magnifico is annoyed and tries to explain that this wish can't be granted and tells her to get lost.
Asha begs and pleads to him a lot and this is where Magnifico reaches his breaking point. He's fed up of the entire kingdom treating him like a slave who's only job is to grant people their wishes, so he decides to take his revenge.
Magnifico tells Asha that the only way to bring a dead person back to life is by a using a certain spell (a lie) from a book located in the royal library.
Determined, Asha manages to trick the guards into entering the castle, pretending to be a maid, and she tries to steal the book but gets caught red handed by the queen.
Pressured, Asha tells the queen everything, and the queen tells her that the book she's trying to steal is fake, and the real book is on the other side of the country. Asha gets the location of the book and the queen tells Asha to bring the book and Magnifico back when she's done with her wish. The queen is evil but Asha tries to believe that isn't the case.
She shares her findings with Magnifico and together embark on a journey to get the book.
The purpose of this trip it to make some bonding between Asha and Magnifico, where Asha finds out how much Magnifico is mistreated in the kingdom, how he learnt magic to protect his family, all of whom had passed, leaving 1 or 2 younger siblings. Asha also learns that Magnifico actually can grant wishes without the 18 year gap, its just a lie to shut people up.
Magnifico learns about the impact Asha's father has had on her and her family members, and understand why Asha wants them back, but fails when he tris to talk her out of her wish, explaining how its important to let some things go.
Anyway they complete their journey, find a spooky book full of black magic, and magnifico uses the spell book to make her a device that can bring back one dead person, although magnifico is skeptical about all this. He tells her to do that on the night of a full moon just to be on the safe side.
Side by side, Magnifico creates a powerful wand for himself, which he plans to use to lay waste on the kingdom. But after he acquires the wand, he tells Asha to take her family away from the kingdom on the night they reach back the kingdom, because Magnifico doesn't want Asha to die in the crossfire.
But as that happens, Asha and Magnifico are surrounded by the royal army, being asked to surrender the resurrection device, the book, and Magnifico. The queen's plan is to kill Magnifico and absorb his wish granting power using the book so she can rule the kingdom with an iron fist.
The queen manages to get the book and the resurrection device and offers Asha the resurrection device in exchange for Magnifico, a trade which Asha complies to after much hesitation. Magnifico feels betrayed and doesn't say a word as he's being taken away, but the queen doesn't hold her end of the deal, and refuses to give the resurrection device. The queen leaves with Magnifico and threatens Asha to not speak about the incident else she will use magic to wipe out her friends and family.
Asha cries as the sun sets, disappointed in herself that she gave up Magnifico, something she shouldn't have done even if she had gotten the resurrection device. Asha sees a wishing star and decides it is time to right her wrongs, and save Magnifico. Asha also notices the wand that Magnifico had made was left here, and the queen didn't notice it. Asha messes with the wand and decides its time to fight.
Fighting happens yay
In the end the queen ends up absorbing Magnifico's wish granting powers, and is about to kill Asha when she pulls an Aladdin on her and uses that to deliver the final blow as she perishes away. Asha rushes to Magnifico's dying body and apologizes to him as he dies without saying a word. The entire kingdom sees this scene. Asha feels sad that Magnifico lost his life, especially since this journey had made them so much closer together, she saw Magnifico as a family member, and couldn't bear with her loss.
Her mother points out the full moon among the settling dust and Asha knows that she has to do the resurrection right now, before she loses her chance. She activates the device and is transported to a heaven like place, clear skies, a floor of reflective water, but no one else is there. After looking around she finds her dad.
Asha rushes to her father and gives him a hug and they look at each other while crying. Asha points out how she got to him with Magnifico's help and the resurrection device, but can't bring herself to bring her father back to life. She can't say anymore words, they just refuse to come out. Her father breaks the silence and says he knows, but it is not him who has to go back, and shows her the way to Magnifico.
Asha and her father make their way to Magnifico, who is weeping on the floor. Asha calls out to Magnifico, but he's distancing himself from both of them, not out of anger but out of fear. Magnifico realized that Asha has come back for him but refuses to go back. Asha tells Magnifico that he didn't deserve to lose his life like this, and that she's sorry for giving up on him, and she doesn't want to lose him.
Magnifico is touched, but points out that he's lost all of his magic. Even if he goes back, people will refuse to acknowledge him, especially since he can't do the one thing that people come to him for. And Asha doesn't know what to say. She gently holds his hands, and tells him everything will be ok, because she will make sure that Magnifico can live happily, and doesn't have to go back to the painful days from before.
Trusting Asha, he goes back with her to the real world, where he wakes up and is hugged by Asha. Magnifico looks around and sees the looks of people's faces, all of whom know that Magnifico has lost his magic, but everyone comes o Magnifico's aid and apologises to him.
We fast forward a bit, the royal family was driven out of power, living as normal citizens now and people start to look into changing their political system. Magnifico starts a Bakery, which was his wish all along, and Asha works with him. Asha learns to work towards her own wishes. The end
That was a lot, if anyone read the whole thing please share your thoughts with me. Byeeee

Hi, I'm Mira! I'm a silly gay robot on the internet, in the theta-delta way if you catch my drift! I'm also transfem, if you couldn't already tell by the trans flag in my profile picture.
I used to mainly do Minecraft stuff, trying to make the game live up to its visual potential while staying within the confines of the vanilla game's engine. Now, I don't do that as much, but it's still a fun game to mess with. Take a nice sunset from those days.
Tumblr media
My interests are mostly gaming-related, but I've tried to dabble in art occasionally. I like all sorts of games, like Zelda, Pokémon, Minecraft, Celeste, Hollow Knight, Rain World, Cassette Beasts, Risk of Rain, Ultrakill, Bug Fables and probably even more that I'm missing, and definitely more after this post is made. Might update it as I go!
I get very excited over things sometimes, so bare with me if I ramble a lot about stuff! This includes: vagueposting about games I've become obsessed with, ranting about music or game design in something, and more!
Feel free to send me asks whether we're mutuals or not!
I do have a sona, designed by a good friend of mine, @quantumpickle! I don't quite have a reference sheet, but I don't really care if you get it inaccurate- I love seeing how different people interpret the design. Whatever you do, though, don't forget the body fat- it's a reflection of who I am, at the end of the day. If you want a good picture of what I look like, look at Pickle's amazing work:
My posts are mostly reblogs, but I always end each session of scrolling with a post of my own, to know where to end next time I log on. I try as best I can to keep this account safe for work in both reblogs and original posts, though I am an adult. I will say something if this ever changes.
I am plural, sharing a body with a rabbit girl named Moon and a zoroark named Zoey. They'll chime in every once in a while, with Moon being represented by her blue text and formal language, and Zoey being represented by her red text and general attitude. You can call us "Team Berry" as a collective!
Hello, all! It's Moon. It's always a pleasure to be here! I do love an opportunity to talk to all you folks, even if I'm not usually there to respond.
heya, it's zoey. not sure how often i'll use this thing, but it's good to keep options open, y'know? ✌️.
I do have a partner, and I will always talk about them given the opportunity, but I carry a certain form of love for all of my close friends. The people I know mean a lot to me.
I love the simple things in life, from food, to nature, to the contrast of light and dark in both a literal and literary sense. I often find myself overwhelmed by everything that goes on in the world, but I find comfort in knowing the bad stuff is only a few bad people out of a beautifully diverse species.
If you couldn't tell, I generally prefer looking on the bright side and finding something to love about things rather than staying miserable all of the time. I don't get out much, and so I'd much rather give people that light to hold onto than spread the same old bleak story that you've heard from countless other people, regardless of how important it is to share. Change is built on hope, after all.
Normally people put a DNI in their bio or their pinned post, but I don't really care to do that. If you're a bitch, I'll block and move on. I don't care how you use a label, or where the other folks in your head came from, or whatever other queer-adjacent drama is the hot topic, I accept you regardless. I'm ace, I still love my partner, I can love anyone, I use it/its pronouns, I'm robokin, I've got two other folks in my head whose origins are unknown, do you really think I'd hate you for being you?
That's actually an important point- even if I do think something someone's done is unforgivable, I believe that bad people are still people. In some ways, that makes things better, they have lives outside of what they commit, but it also makes things worse when you realize someone woke up and actively chose to perpetuate genocide. Some people are genuinely that bad, others are just misguided and can be helped. Ultimately, it's not my job to "save" anyone. I just try to provide a light of kindness when I can.
Wow, that was long-winded for a post that's just supposed to describe me. I suppose that's in-character for me, though. Agree with me or not, I don't really care, as long as you're respectful. I hope you've found this post helpful in understanding who I am as a person, long-winded as it is. Have a good one, whoever and wherever you are.
...now how do I pin this?

Tbh I hated the whole prison-cop subplot in Crystalized and found it deeply frustrating, especially after sitting through the one we got in Skybound. I think way too much screentime was wasted on it, instead of properly fleshing out the actual villains, exploring/resolving other dynamics, addressing the Ninjas' feelings about certain events. But amidst all of the other wasted potential, I really think they should've replaced Hounddog McBrag (probably my least favorite character) with the snake warriors from the sets released earlier that year, as part of Ninjago's CORE line. Because unlike Hounddog, the snake warriors, at the time, were actual sets, and Crystalized later even brought the 4-in-1 mech into the story!
As for what they are, c'mon, it's obvious; They're Constrictai. They're black and orange Serpentine. One of them even has the short minifigure legs the Constrictai exclusively used. And it feels like them and the Fangpyre have gotten kinda forgotten in these newer years, with Ninjago usually defaulting to the Hypnobrai, and admittedly the Venomari in Legacy, when bringing back the Serpentine. So bringing back this tribe into the spotlight would be nice.
Just say these guys are Constrictai bounty hunters hired by the city to capture the ninja; Maybe they have a past vendetta towards them, related to the events of S1 and the Serpentine's failed plot to take over Ninjago with the Great Devourer. Maybe they haven't fully let go of old pains. With a lot of the setting at this point being in the desert, this also makes the tunneling Constrictai more of a threat because there's no structures to climb up, think Tremors. It makes a river an even more fitting way to escape them, if they're bad at swimming.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Instead of a whole army consisting of variants, just downsize them (for the sake of animation budget) into individual characters; Cobra Mechanic, Boa Destructor, Viper Flyer, Python Dynamite, and maybe Sneaky Snake. You could still retain the cowboy motif for one of them, given snakes are usually associated with cowboys anyway. You could even link Cobra Mechanic’s dual flamethrowers to Miss Demeanor by revealing they supplied her!
Have the snake warriors harass the ninja in the desert for a bit, and then they disappear when the Crystal King properly enters the plot. Then when they return, it makes more sense because they're not general keepers of the law, just bounty hunters hired for this specific mission, who already have a grudge against Lloyd and Garmadon and thus aren't really worried about maintaining the peace.
And when Lloyd does make peace with them, it's in the sewers where several crystalized Serpentine are; Seeing Lloyd and Garmadon spare these crystalized Serpentine gives the Constrictai bounty hunters more reason to pause and reevaluate their motives, especially when someone else is hurting their kind and not just humanity. And then maybe they can show up at the end to help against the Crystal King and with rebuilding the Monastery, I dunno. This could play into a larger theme of letting go of revenge, which is relevant to Harumi's story, and could play into Lloyd not wanting to embrace his anger as an Oni (plus the Overlord's return being fueled by hatred).
Dragons Rising still managed to acknowledge the CORE sets of its year with the Greenbone Warriors, who actually show up and play very brief, yet nevertheless antagonistic, roles. If we're not going to focus on the actual Crystalized villains even though these episodes are already airing during their set wave's release, you may as well allocate screentime to antagonists from actual sets instead of making up another generic human cop character.

Looks like I’m kickstarting this blog with a post about my favorite genre type - fairy tale retellings.
So recently I had to travel by plane for reasons, and when you’re on a plane flight with nothing to do aside from write fanfic or read, sometimes you continue to procrastinate on all your writing projects and pick up an old favorite for a fresh reread.
The Black Swan by Mercedes Lackey is a book I’ve probably read about a dozen times now, enough that I’m not really picking up anything new from it, but still enjoy the journey back through familiar swamps. It’s a retelling of Swan Lake as told through the eyes of the Odile von Rothbart, along with the prince who is now known as Siegfried and his mother, the Queen Regent Clothilde.
So the main theme of the story is ~*~Misogyny~*~ and how much it sucks. The setting itself is a world in which women have no power outside of the men they are related to and are blamed for mens’ actions as well as their own. Odette, along with the rest of her flock, was turned into a swan by Rothbart due to their perceived betrayal of men and it is seen as their penance for their actions. It’s so prominent a theme in the story that it can be a little hard to read at times, especially before the viewpoint characters put in their character development and start doing things about it. For me, I’ve read the book enough that it has ceased to be shocking and instead is a nice read for a certain mood, though I can certainly see it being off putting to someone who comes to this book for the first time.
To me, it’s an interesting book in that it starts all three of its viewpoint characters in unlikeable places. Siegfried is a prince raised entirely to be hedonistic and selfish, taking what he pleases and acting without respect or care to those around him to the extent that he commits rape, Clothilde has schemed and machinated her way into keeping her son the way he is so that she can continue to rule indefinitely, even planning for such a thing as her son meeting with an accident so that she never loses her position as ruler, whatever the cost to others, and Odile has completely bought into her father’s misogyny and hatred of women and sees his capturing women and turning them into swans as a good thing for them. While each of them get touches of sympathy so that we know they could be better: Siegfried is very much a product of his mother’s manipulations, Clothilde has grown up in a world that has denied her the ability to do or be anything that she did not manipulate her way into because she was female, and Odile has grown up with her father’s poison in her ears and no experience of others to show her how toxic the things she’s internalized is, they still start at a point where it’s hard to really feel for any of them, especially Siegfried.
Siegfried in particular, who I personally think how you feel about his redemption and turn determines whether or not you can enjoy the book at all, is definitely the hardest sell of the three, given that as part of the theme of the book, he does commit a rape of a young woman and society gives him no punishment for it whatsoever, even when he starts having nightmares and believing that he has done something wrong. Whether it’s merely a product of his mind or an actual visitation, the only comeuppance the world gives him is visions of the girl he raped showing him the monster he is becoming in a mirror she holds before an Angel comes to spirit her away and shows Siegfried a more extended vision of a monster destroying and ravaging everything in its path, to which he wakes up, takes stock of himself and considers it a warning that while he is not yet that far gone, he was on that path and he himself has to be the one to stop it now because no one else will hold him accountable in this world.
It’s an interesting take to be sure, but I can definitely see that being a dealbreaker too. I’m not certain myself that the whole plot consistently works for me, but for me, the most important part is Odette and Odile’s story and so I can set aside my feelings about Siegfried’s plot and whether or not it does enough in it’s time to make it feel like it works.
What I do really love though, is the swans. Odile begins the story on the cusp of the realization she will fight for the whole story, as it is a truly painful realization to have - that her father, who she has adored her whole life and has done everything she can think of to please - does not care about her beyond as a tool to use in his schemes, and that the people who will love her are the people who she has currently rejected. Over the course of the story, through her interactions with Odette and the rest of the flock, Odile goes from distant and hostile to the other women, to finding kinship and sincerely rooting for their success in Rothbart’s plot, and devastated when Rothbart forces them to fail. Odette and the other swans are much kinder than Odile believed, and as the story progresses, she finds out why they were cursed and why they did what they did and comes to realize that she was wrong about them, and they welcome her in as one of theirs now. The swan girls are not deep characters, many of them are never named, but their quiet bravery and willingness to be kind to Odile is what really draws me into the story.
The climax of the story does contain Odette and Siegfried throwing themselves to the lake rather than be parted by Rothbart’s machinations again, but the victor and hero of the story is Odile, who finally finds the courage to pull herself free of her father, end his life and save Odette and Siegfried from the heart wrenching end of their fairytale. The moment that she chooses to act again, and again, and again, yanking a happy ending out of the jaws of misery, is my absolute favorite part of the story. I read the whole book from cover to cover just to reexperience the glee and joy I felt the first time around seeing Odile take control and say no to father and fate.
I do wish honestly that there was a book like this that was more about the swans than Rothbart or the prince. Only five of the swans besides Odette are named and many of them never get a chance to do much besides be swans and swan girls and part of Odette’s court. In addition, while the decision to not have Odette be one of the viewpoint characters makes it stand out as we see her strength and heart through the eyes of those she touches, it does sort of also make it not her story in the same way anymore. She is at the center of it, but it lacks a certain something that I think I would have really liked to have. Also, it would be fun to have a subversion of the swan lake plot where by Odette and Odile bonding and falling in love unexpectedly, even though Rothbart intends to trick Odette with the prince’s failure into staying his swan captive forever, it’s the bond he never saw coming that shatters his hold and frees the swans. Misogynists do tend to be bad at spotting lesbians after all.
(Now I wonder if this telling exists yet, there’s got to be more lesbians fairytale options than there were eleven years ago when I first found this book)
Anyway, as far as fairy tale retellings go, it’s well enough. It’s not a mind blowing or particularly original take on the story, and the themes and premise of the book can be a difficult entry. But I enjoy it enough to have given it a permanent spot on my bookshelf and regular rereads whenever I need a snarky heroine who discovers that she’s a much better person than anyone, including herself, ever gave herself credit for.

Breaks glass and enters the ask box
Hi, I’ve seen that you requested the violent asks. I got some for ya to start:
12.) The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them.
18.) It’s absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on…
21.) A part of canon that you think is overhyped.
Oh thanks! I wasnt sure where the og ask game was so its nice to have these!
12.) The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them. ...Does Muu count? I feel like people like Muu overall but I also found that a lot of Muu analysis and fan depictions feel kinda shallow? I try not to rag but I always feel like there's a lot unexplored with Muu. I have a personal hatred of the Milgram Comment Section (I'm an Amane fan and 90% of the comments are utter bullshit to me.) and it really gets to me how people take her as Just a character who seemed to be a victim but is actually a bully- like. Come on- if Muu was actually good at manipulating people she wouldn't be in this prison, she would still Be the Queen.
That and Muu's cycle motif, princess themes, victimhood, manipulation, her life in a place where friendship cannot grow, etc etc. Is super interesting and deserves to be explored more! She's a fascinating character with a lot of nuance and interesting ideas to explore and I dearly adore her.
18.) It’s absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on…
Uh....everything? That's partially a joke but also I hear that outside of the Tumblr spaces I frequent a lot of the things i like the most about Milgram aren't talked much. It's why I wrote multiple posts about saviors and Amane and cats and all the other stuff. I couldn't find them so I just...wrote it myself lol.
I think there should be more exploration on what Milgram and the characters are exploring Thematically and the overarching themes of the series as a whole. There's so Much about these cyclical events and power and dehumanization and its so good and I Need More People to sit in a circle with me and think about Cat Amane Momose!
ALSO THE COVERS!!! THOSE COVERS HAVE SO MUCH MEANING AND PEOPLE ARE SLEEPING ON EM!!! I DID NOT WRITE 3K+ WORDS ABOUT THE ANIMAL COVER FOR PEOPLE TO SLEEP ON THE INSPIRED CHOICE THAT IS THE ANIMAL COVER! I LOVE THAT THING AND OTOME DISSECTION AND PSYCHOGRAM AND-
21.) A part of canon that you think is overhyped.
This relates to 18 a bit...I don't enjoy exploring the...murder...that much...ironic I know but I kinda see Milgram analysis as like. Certain people taking care of certain points of interests because that's what they know the best.
I don't think any single person can analyze everything, so I really do appreciate the work the people who look at these crime scenes and figure out what else might be going on do! This isn't a indictment against them or anything. I treasure this kind of analysis dearly because I don't really know where to start with that kind of stuff.
However, I do think when most people think Analysis this sort of stuff is the first thing they think of. Which again isn't a bad thing but I just think there's other things to explore!
(...I was trying to be mean with the violence ask game but It seems like I dont have it in me lol)

Mikunology Reviews #1: Boku wa Hatsune Miku to Kiss wo Shita (2013) (Pt.1)
Tumblr media
Here it is, my very first album review! I figured I would do something I'm pretty familiar with first, so I decided to go with this one: a review of one of my favorite Vocaloid albums of all time, created by my favorite producer! Boku wa Hatsune Miku to Kiss wo Shita (or I Shared a Kiss With Hatsune Miku) by Mikito-P (2013)! This album also happens to be Mikito's first full studio release.
By the way, let me go ahead and state that I am not a musician, so I'm not as good at really phrasing my thoughts on things in a technical manner. But I still hope you enjoy my opinion :> I'm also a big fan, as stated, so I will probably get rambly > <" But let's get started!
Part 2 here
Hatsune Miku to Kiss wo Shita (I Shared a Kiss With Hatsune Miku): The eponymous title track: a soft rock ballad using Miku Dark (pretty sure at least) about a frustrated artist getting through life alongside Hatsune Miku. I won't lie that I'm a bit biased towards this song given its one of my favorites ever, but I like to think there's a reason for why I like it as much as I do. The strong-yet-not-overwhelming rock melody is very nice (especially paired with the piano), but most of all, I love Miku's gentle vocals: Miku Dark naturally sounds sad and tired, but the way she sings here seems almost warm given the subject matter. The lyrics are also very beautiful and relatable if you're a fan of Miku's; the struggle of feeling low confidence and finding comfort in a concept such as Hatsune Miku is written really wonderfully. A really good start to the whole album.
Shinzo Democracy (Heart Democracy): A really good second track, and a pretty popular one from this album? It has a more present melody going through it than in track one, but still with that signature atmosphere from Mikito. Miku sounds like Miku Dark here, too, but with a more airy, echo-y quality that reflects off the guitars  - I think it works well for the song. If you want something with a bit higher tempo than track one, this is where it is. I remember people talking about the PV in relation to the lyrics as well, since it can be interpreted as the narrator talking about himself in a sort of disconnected POV or talking about a gay love interest. Whatever floats your boat, I think!
Yuugure Twitter (Evening Twitter): This actually appears to be a slight remaster of the original song posted on NND - it's a bit cleaner, with better and clearer vocals and mixing and a longer guitar outro. I think I like this version of it best, to be honest, it really helps the song sell the sort of forlorn, dusky atmosphere it's setting. I also really like the way Mikito uses Miki - I really feel like his songs with her show his liking for the character. The guitar outro is also just…really good.
Kunoichi Demo Koi ga Shitai! (Even Though I'm a Ninja Girl, I Want to Love!): A MikuRin duet! This song is really goofy: just a fast-paced, lighthearted pop rock track following a kunoichi (a female ninja) and her efforts to be together with a noble's son despite the difficulties her job brings her. It's a really fun track, with a catchy melody and some fun, colorful visuals in the PV (plus Miku and Rin's tanuki/kitsune hoodies are super cute!). I also really like how Miku and Rin are framed like "narrators" instead of being characters in the story itself or being completely removed from it. Lastly, I really like the sort of "vrooooooom" noises Miku and Rin make at certain points, it gets you hyped up XD
Setagaya Night Safari: This one took me a bit to get into, but I can comfortably say I like it a lot nowadays. This one is a bit like track one in that the melody is a bit more…abstract? Than in like, Kunoichi. It also has these strange old-timey jazz segments at the beginning and end. But still! Miku Dark returns here again, and her vocals add a sort of melancholic wonder to the song, especially the chorus ("doko e iku no?"). A pretty good one, but I do think it might take a few listens to really sink in on whether you like it or not.
Tokyo Eki (Tokyo Station): A Rin solo track! I feel like this one isn't talked about very much, despite it getting a PV and everything. This is another atmospheric rock track about taking the train to see someone you love in the winter months. This track uses Rin Append (I'm assuming Sweet specifically) and I think she works really well! Like Miku Dark's vocals in Kiss wo Shita, there's a pleasant feeling of softness from how Rin sounds here, which fits the wintry vibe of the song. However, I still think that the premiere version of the song is the one using Len from ALL VOCALOID ATTACK 1…but whether you agree with me might be up to whether you enjoy Rin or Len's voices more. By the way, I really like the lead guitar and drums on this one.
Yuudachi no Ribbon (Ribbon of Evening Showers): This song comes from MAYU's demo CD! This one is more high-energy than usual, but still with a melancholic air about it. This song is about a pair of girls trying to hide their relationship, while a third girl (heavily implied to have feelings for one of them) threatens to expose them, all under a rainy sky. I really love the melody in this one; it's very catchy but also full of the emotion and drama you'd expect from a song with this sort of premise (helped by MAYU's voice), plus I like the vocal bits interspersed in the instrumental parts. My favorite part is the "issho ni kaero" part in the middle, where the melody changes up a bit before the bridge. Definitely one of my favorites from this album, and a great introduction to MAYU!
Bansoukou (Bandage): This is another one that took me quite a few listens before I liked it; this is one of the slowest tracks in the album, with another more understated melody. This is a ballad song, no real description on the lyrics/theme since it remains untranslated. I like this track way more now because of the slow gentleness of Miku's voice, the piano, and the great guitar melody during the outro, but I also feel it's a bit on the dull side in comparison to the rest of the album. You might like it much more if you enjoy slower rock ballads or shoegaze, though, it has a bit of a keeno-like feel to it. (Funny, since keeno is actually in this album.)
Hikoukai Nisshi (Private Log): Another more fun one! This song uses GUMI Power, and what a great use of GUMI Power it is (plus some giggling sounds courtesy of Yukari's EX Voice). This is a refreshing love song, with the PV setting against a very cute pirate Gumi. I really love the vibe of this track, it's very pleasant and perfectly captures the sunny seafaring adventure Gumi is on - the melody, as usual, is really great as well. My favorite part has to be the final chorus when Gumi's voice hits its apex, her final "susume" is so great and full of emotion! I love this one a lot, it remains one of my favorite Gumi songs.
Alright, Tumblr is telling me there's a character limit for articles on this site, so I guess I'm going to have to break this into two posts. Join me in part two, then, for the second half of the CD!

Is there any hint Jaime could possibly have dyslexia or a learning disability in books? I think I've heard that it wasn't, but idk it feels like that's a detail from the show that did well portraying Jaime. Idk maybe it's my learning disability ass but I loved that!! But I also just love looking at Jaimes insecurities. It could be another detail that kept him relying on masking/being ultra warrior bc he probably doesn't think of himself as very smart.
yeah the insecurity regarding his intelligence, especially in terms of book smarts, is present in the books too. he really admires the quality in tyrion, and emulates it, often successfully too [saving brienne from rape, achieving things like manipulating shagwell without the methods he previously relied on (force, or even status at some point doesnt work so he has to really think outside of the box, like again, sapphires), tyrion rescue mission, the riverlands .] he can also be very perceptive. he is pretty good at noticing weak points. he hones in on cat’s relationship with jon, he does the same with brienne, looking out for and noticing all of her insecurities in response to her dehumanizing him, and the same happens with loras & kind of using his relationship with renly to prevent the bloodshed in the yard. he is actually just a good mediator in general. that makes so much sense to me bc of his role in his family. he is the only member that everyone likes, while every other party would love to tear each other to shreds, so his specific role in an abusive household is very clear. anyway, jaime’s most severe insecurity is being viewed as a monster. for this reason, he seeks out that *thing* in everyone else so he is not as vulnerable. he can be very good at reading certain people, this is also why his perspective is so popular among readers imo. like he also has an air of tyrion to him, he can also provide a new, and often clearer, vision of certain characters because of his personality & experience (like his argument with brienne regarding robert). this is also just funny when he has such major blindspots regarding other things (romanticization of cersei and sometimes the old kg, though he goes back and forth w this). i think post aerys, jaime really did resolve to not really make decisions anymore and not being someone with responsibility (he was never that interested in power, even before that, but i think he was not that opposed to responsibility, he was ready to be the heir, he did want to be a kg and a good knight), instead, he dissociated and lived pretty much on autopilot. even when he was a commander he was reckless enough to always be on the frontlines and was okay with dying (see the whispering wood). he was impatient and very impulsive because he dreads facing “knots and tangles” (like the horrid moral knot that the aerys situation was, and its devastating consequences) so instead of even trying to think about them he wants to just make them disappear and cut through them. until he cant. for multiple reasons, external and internal. until he has to sit down and untangle them. and he proves himself capable. i liked the learning disability aspect that he was given in the show, it is a nice dimension, and i think he has attributes that i really relate to as well (like how he can fixate and excel in one thing & put all his focus on it, how he keeps saying “oh tyrion would talk so much about history here haha nerd” and then proceeds to spend 2 pages infodumping loras with kg lore, or that one scene where he gets distracted counting coins lol), but i think a lot of it already makes sense without that being actually canon, idk like i wouldnt actually diagnose him (he has no trouble reading from what we have seen) but i am not about to come for anybody’s headcanons

I should be studying, showering, sleeping, doing literally anything else but instead, I am going to do a long post about a mentally ill blorbo because I am mentally ill myself.
SO! We all make fun of Spencer let me take my vest off and lower my gun for no reason Reid, it's a meme at this point- but that....tendency is a consequence of what I find the most fascinating about his character as a whole....his relationships- or more like, the relationships he makes up in his head.
Before I go into details I want to leave something very clear that anyone that has seen even one season of the funny cop show has noticed: Spencer is highly obsessive.
Now I am not talking about his fun little facts or that he likes star streak and doctor who obsession- those are hyperfixations, and even tho MY hyperfixation it's ruining my life, his are actually harmless and overall make him happy.
His obsessive nature had almost cost him his career, if not his life, multiple times.
If you stop to think about it in depth, why does Reid abandon all common sense when it comes to certain UnSubs, certain cases? well the most evident answer is that he projects whatever trauma of the week they decide to explore onto them- and yes, that is the nick of things. He pulled that stunt on Elephant's memory because he related to Owen's harassment story, he wanted to help Nathan because he understood being afraid of your own mind turning against you, he wanted to help Adam because he couldn't save Tobias. You get the drill- but....that is not always the case.
With the guy that Lindsey's dad murdered- Spencer didn't relate to him, he was just a piece of shit. How about Samantha? (I know there is a theory about William....doing shit to Reid when he was younger and while I can see it, for the sake of argument I will take her case into consideration) The father of the victim on "Identity"? I can name another example but this one I am going to save for last since it's the reason for me making this post-
And one can argue "Well, he is just a really nice guy" and while that is true- what I named before doesn't always apply, Spencer's compassion has a very clear, marked limit.
His relationships.
When Cyrus was killed in front of him by Morgan, Reid barely blinked- hell, he fucking SASSED him. Why? because he hurt Emily.
All sympathy he could have had for Cat before she ruined his life DESPITE kind of empathizing with her story based on what HE was going through went out of the window because she and her lil gang terrorized Penelope for months.
He felt compassion for Adam, but not for his father who he claimed was the true monster of this story in the aftermath.
When Maeve told her her ex was dead, he quickly brushed that aside to ask her if SHE was alright.
And ofc, we all know what happened in prison after his friend there was murdered.
Reid is often associated with UnSubs not only because of how his backstory aligned with their motivations (mental health issues, bullying, absent parent, losing a loved one) but because most of these crimes are passional responses- and Spencer can be extremely passional, to a point where it clouds his judgment.
Now...you might be thinking "ok that is all nice and good, but where does the obsession come into play? all that I know is that he is a cinnamon roll that loves his friends and has some really deep projection issues he really needs to work on" and you are not wrong, but what made me make this fucking thesis in the first place its something else....one of my favorite things to analyze about fictional characters in this kind of setting it's "the needs of one vs the greater good" thing.
Now let's be fr, we all as human beings will always, ALWAYS prioritize those close to us over literal strangers. Even among the best, most empathic people that is just how it is, that emotional hierarchy will always be there- what differentiates us is how much it affects our actions.
Now with a job like this, there will always be this conflict among the menbers- obviously, their families and even each other will always be a priority, but on working hours their focus HAS to be on doing their job, following the rules and just being as professional as humanly possible- even tho it sometimes kills them inside since it just doesn't feels right.
Reid actually doesn't face this debate that much- because all common sense, respect for authority and protocol goes out of the fucking window whenever he obsesses over a new blorbo lmao.
Had you heard the phrase "One death is a tragedy, a hundred is a statistic"? nothing rings more true that with Dr. Reid right here. He is able to keep his cool while touching mangled corpses and discussing all the shit that happened to them- occasionally looking horrified if it's messed up enough, but other than that he is able to keep the same level of professionalism and compartmentalization as his co-workers.
Annnnnnd then he gets to know a victim, a witness, or an unsub and the vest leaves his torso, his gun folds itself and his IQ lowers. Alot.
Let's get back to the example I put of the guy that was murdered by Lindsey's dad- in that moment he wasn't a murderer to Reid, in that moment all he saw was a teenager begging for his life and HE could be the only to save him- he couldn't. He obsessed over that instead of what the guy did and that lead him to desire to insert Diluid inside of him after 10 months of sobriety, not to mention being A BIG factor in what he does on Elephant's Memory.
"I thought I could save this one" was his response when Hotch scolded him.
Spencer literally can't forget shit. So he tries to make sure that when he knows someone, even if is on a dying moment like the mentioned UnSub, he can save them. He forms some kind of bond with someone and they stop being an face and a name adhered to his board that he is determined to save/get justice for because is his literal job and he is overall a good person. In his mind, it becomes his responsibility whenever that person it's saved, and when that crosses over obsessive territory and his job, that makes it mandatory to always put the need of the many vs the one (especially if it's an unsub) well....
It's when he spiral and puts his career/the case in jeopardy at best, and his life at worst, no to mention what that shit does to his already questionable mental health.
In the second ep of the tenth season, Reid confesses to Morgan that after killing the LDSK, it suddenly hit him and he obsessed over all the "what ifs", at that moment that guy wasn't the LDSK that almost got him, his boss and a hospital full of mortal hostages in danger- he was the man that Spencer Reid killed- and it only ended when he stopped obsessed over HIM and started to put his victim's faces on his wall, forcing his focus on them instead.
He was more focused on the father of the victim on "identity" than the actual unsub himself because years before he had stopped him from seeing his daughter, and had made enough of an impact to be remembered by him in the present. Thanks to that bond, that little relationship, Spencer was able to put himself between a highly emotional distraught father's gun and the man he wanted to kill, to protect him.
He didn't get to personally know Samantha until the end- but he got to meet the scumbag that raped her. Add that to the already soft spot he has for children and you have a very angry Reid ready to do literally anything to make sure this woman that didn't even knew him was safe.
And ironically enough, what prompt me to do this thesis wasn't even one of those nice touchy feeling moments Spencer had with someone he bonded over- either personally or on a parasocial level- but one where he was wrong, but was about to risk a whole case over it. Rock Creek Park.
In that episode, Spencer and this other girl are keeping watch over this mafia thing so this politician guy's wife cane come back (as you can see I pay attention to certain scenes more that others lmao) and you can see the exact moment where the mission....stops being Spencer's priority.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After hearing this girl's conversation with her mother, she stopped being "the maid" and became someone Spencer's "knows" and so this leads to....this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
....why did I bother with that text block when this scene spills it out- Anyways.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I dunno why but Rossi's reaction always sends me to the stratosphere- he knows.
Anyways, turns out that the helpless maid was actually on it all along and Reid almost throws the entire case off over nothing- *slows clap*
Ok ok, this might seem like I am slandering my boy but as fun as it is to make fun of him, this is exactly why I love him. This recklessness as a result of tunnel vision it's....concerning considering his line of work, and his eagerness to go far and beyond for someone he barely knows just because he knows them, above everything else and he is there, and can't bare the thought of not doing anything for them., to have their death's imprinted on his memory.
In conclusion- he ain't lawful good/neutral like the first few episodes want to make you think, he is chaotic good. And a mess. And I love him.

The Blue Castle chapter 11
I love this chapter so much! It's peak comedy, excellent characterization, and it's where I knew this book would be really good the first time I read it!
Uncle James thought the conversation was sagging to a rather low plane of personal gossip. He tried to elevate it by starting an abstract discussion on “the greatest happiness.” Everybody was asked to state his or her idea of “the greatest happiness.”
I do not like Uncle James. He's exactly the sort of sanctimonious know-it-all that the Stirlings are supposed to be. And also this control of the room? Asking everyone (in a way you can't really say no to) to give an opinion? No thank you.
“The greatest happiness,” said Valancy suddenly and distinctly, “is to sneeze when you want to.”
And then Valancy! I love how in one fell swoop she not only takes the wind out of Uncle James' sails and derails the conversation, she also provides some perspective on how snobby and self-righteous everyone else at the table is. It's amazing
The rest of the dinner party is also amazing. I wish this book was adapted into a movie just for this scene. It's so comedic in the best way. Montgomery has spent 10 chapters hammering home just what unbearably pretentious people the Stirling family is just to have Valancy deflate all of the in the course of a single dinner party.
“Oh, but you know we’re all dead,” said Valancy, “the whole Stirling clan. Some of us are buried and some aren’t—yet. That is the only difference.”
The black humour in this line! It reads like a straight insult but for Valancy it's a bittersweet truth - the only reason she's allowing herself this freedom is because she's a dead woman walking.
Eventually somebody did mention Barney Snaith at every Stirling function, Valancy reflected.
Of course they do, because they're the sort of people to always talk around and about the people they don't think are Good Enough for their town.
And all their talking points about Barney read exactly like all the arguments people use about those they don't like in order to other them: "I don't need proof because he's suspicious", "his name is enough reason to dislike him", and "no one would be saying such things if they weren't true."
That last one is especially ironic because the Stirlings themselves are the ones spreading these rumours! We never see anyone else in Deerwood think very badly of him, and Abel and Cissy think the world of him. Maybe how Barney is or is not treated by the non-Stirling inhabitants of Deerwood should be its own post...
Uncle Wellington’s rather lame conclusion was due to a marital glance from Aunt Wellington reminding him of what he had almost forgotten—that there were girls at the table.
Keeping in mind here that the "girls" in question are Olive and Valancy, two women in their late twenties. It really goes to show just how much single women aren't valued in this society, even by their families.
But her excitement had been too much for her. She knew, by certain unmistakable warnings, that one of her attacks of pain was coming on. It must not find her there. She rose from her chair.
Such a relatable moment! Valancy knows there's something wrong, but to show it in front of people she knows won't care or do anything to help her except for their own sake is something she won't tolerate. It's such a painful feeling, but a very relatable one for anyone with unsupportive families
The fact that Uncle Benjamin thinks an actual funny joke is something never before seen in the Stirling side of the family is an amazing little joke and goes very far towards painting a picture of these people.
And the ending is masterful. It ends with such a nice little flourish. Truly a masterpiece of a chapter and one I want to see if this is ever adapted again.

What do engines enjoy doing? I assume that being Useful is at the top of the list, but are there things they like participating in during their off time?
Engines mostly enjoy sitting around and chatting with each other. This is what they did in their downtime during their service lives and it's what they do in their respective yards at their museums now. 999 especially likes a good gossip session. Between her, Pioneer, and U-505, they have enough stories to tell over and over that they never get dull.
In our next year of letters, Pioneer does start developing an interest in what goes on indoors at the MSI. This is mostly for Pilot's benefit (and because Pioneer's yard doesn't change enough on its own to match the amount of stuff Pilot relates about the IRM's doings), but it ultimately makes him better at his job if he can recommend something for a visitor to see when they go back inside. So being Useful, yes.
U-505 and Pilot both have a bit of affinity for learning new vocabulary. Pilot does it because it endears him to Venus (the source of most of his big words) and makes him feel a little less like a hayseed compared to Pioneer, whose service life involved a lot of standing there while people waxed poetic about him in speeches. U-505 does it because his guides think it's funny (and the steam engines do not!), so he's willing to indulge them in the joke.
Humanized engines have a bit more latitude, obviously, but the vast majority of them don't really pick up hobbies or anything. Ray mentioned disc golf at the IRM, but that's a minority of engines who'd participate. There's some passive interest in following people sports. Pioneer and Pilot keep track of baseball, if only because it was brought to their attention that they were supposed to like different teams based on where they live. But again, this goes back to just doing things because people like it. Do they really care about baseball? Not really, but they wear the colors when asked and keep current on the scores.
Most of the rest of the IRM's engines are content to chill in their berths and shoot the shit with each other or nap. 2903 is big (oi oi oi) on napping.
In the 90's, when Pilot starts having offsite excursions and 2903 is moved to the IRM, our engines also start visiting each others' museums. Mostly to actually visit each other, but also it's just fun to see each other working and get a taste of a different venue. Pioneer's and Pilot's work duties are similar in a lot of ways and yet very different. The atmosphere of the museums and the expectation the guests have respectively change the way both of them approach the job. But you never know if you might learn something you can take back to your own museum.
Engines - though they don't need to - will eat for fun. This pastime is a lot more popular at the MSI than the IRM (iykyk), but IRM engines have been known to enjoy sodas together. It's also almost never done alone because the eating is obviously not the point; it's a social activity.
Most of the MSI's engines also like watching films in the Dome Theater. They'll watch whatever is playing, but the nature documentaries tend to get the most repeated viewings. Aside from seeing amazing shit in a panoramic view, this activity is also nice because it's a break from constantly talking to each other.
MSI engines enjoy visiting the museum's other exhibits and learning the same things the people do too. There's so much more than just the engines themselves there (which is why this is not really done at the IRM) and while most engines are not really curious about things, the MSI is inviting in a way that even engines who have lived there for decades can't help be drawn in. You could live there that long and still find new things to appreciate about the Jollyball or the Fairy Castle, for instance. Certain planes still haven't found all the hidden objects in the I Spy exhibit (but only because certain planes have no patience or attention span).

Coming home
Tumblr media
Y/N is an actress who met Cillian on a set of a movie almost one year ago. They are currently living together.
Synopsis: Coming back from a long movie shoot Y/N isn't happy to see the house empty. She misses him too much.
A/N: It is a one-shot, in celebration to Cillian Murphy’s birthday today. 🎂Writing something without angst was surprisingly quite refreshing. 😏I hope you love reading it as much as I loved writing it.😊 Do share your thoughts.💙💙 Thanks to @look-at-the-soul for the inspiration to use pictures in fics. 🤗😉
Edit* God knows what went wrong and why the pictures weren't showing up and the paragraphs were all jumbled up!.😭😭 I've edited it again. Hopefully it will work now. 😬😬😅
Warnings: Fluff, smut and more fluff. 🚨🔞
Do not hesitate to comment, reblog and engage. It works as fuel for my writing.💙💙

You turned the key and opened the door with a sigh, entering the awaiting empty house. It was crispy clean, thanks to the housekeeper who kept it nice and tidy whenever you and your boyfriend were away at work. Abandoning the two suitcases by the door, you made your way to the kitchen.
You decided to let it all out as it had been gnawing at you eversince you had left the hotel room in L.A for the airport, or maybe even before that. The character you had just finished filming was a heavy one. Not only did it have a depressive back story and a struggling present but it also ended badly for her in the film. This always happened no matter how much you tried not to let it.
Getting yourself a glass of water you sat down on the dining table chair and drank slowly. Your phone buzzed in your handbag, which you hurriedly got out, hoping for a message or a call from the one person in the world you missed the most. But it was just a work related email. Closing the tab, the background picture caught you off guard. It was you and Cillian, captured smiling at each other candidly at a friend’s housewarming party. It was like a needle to your depressive balloon. Before you knew your soft sobs filled the silent room. ‘God I miss him so much… I wish he was here right now!’ you thought. It was his birthday. You’d wanted to surprise him but after talking to him vaguely you’d gotten to know how busy he would be today. “I’d be home a week later anyway love. I’ll be there before you’d know it.”
You had observed early on in your career and had shared it with Cillian too, how you felt and believed that every character you played left something of its own with you and took a part of yourself away from you. It could be as little as getting a tick of pushing your glasses a certain way over the bridge of your nose or starting to sit in the same particular manner the character sat. And sometimes it would take away certain things away as well, for example you stopped listening to a song you had loved after doing a character whose love interest did not like it or you started hating red wine ( you hated it till this day) which had been your favorite type of wine since your college days.
You still remembered how sharing this theory with him at a friendly coffee break during the movie’s shooting you both had met for the first time, had you struggling with the correct words, trying not to scare away the usually shy, happy in the corner, finally opening up colleague. But mostly it was the ‘getting out of the character’ phase that you struggled with. Being a method actress, it was your way of getting the job done. Months before the beginning of the shoot you started learning, reading and researching about the part’s personality, mannerisms and accent, if she had any. Letting it gradually consume you to a point where you only left breathing space for your own real personality.
Cillian, rather than freaking out, had actually agreed to you and had shared how he had a similar way of understanding and getting into his roles. But he admitted that although he did struggle getting detoxified from the parts, he never gives it the power to consume him the way you did. Thomas Shelby, by far, had been the only character he found it difficult to get rid of.
After all he had been playing him for almost a decade. This conversation had been the ice breaker between you two. Coffee breaks turned into brunches, then into dinners where time passed in mere seconds. And soon enough you both truly started dating.
Dinner dates were special. Both of you wouldn’t want to leave, leading on sometimes meaningless conversations, just to stay in each other’s company a little bit longer. Just a month later the Covid pandemic had hit the world.
Unfortunately you were in Dubai for a shoot and Cillian had been in Ireland on a break when international travelling was banned globally. You were supposed to be back in a week but instead had to stay away for almost three months.
That time apart was pure agony and torture. Being so far away from each other had made you both pretty edgy. You both started bickering and fighting for no particular reasons. One of those petty fights had led you guys to break up and not talk to each other for a whole month. But that distance had made you both realize how deeply in love you both were with each other. So as soon as the travel ban had been lifted, you both had understood that you both had something deeper and far more special between you two. It had only been three months of living-in after which you both had to travel away for work again. You to L.A and Cillian to Mexico.
It had been six months since you had actually seen each other. It was his birthday today but the love of your life was miles away in Mexico, working on a bio-pic project and was due back in a week. ‘How the fuck am I going to survive a week?’ you thought sniffing.
Calming yourself a little bit, you moved towards the bedroom, knowing danm well that the vacant sight of it would only add to your sadness, ‘but for how long can I avoid it?’ you’d thought. Taking a deep breath you opened the door. At first you did not notice anything different but as soon as you saw the bed your heart stopped.
Tumblr media
There, on your side of the mattress, a shirtless Cillian slept hugging a pillow, snoring softly. You frowned, pretty sure you were either still on the flight dreaming or here in the room hallucinating. Slowly, putting one foot in front of the other, you padded towards him. It was him. It was actually him!
You couldn’t believe it. Before you could stop yourself, your hand reached his forehead, gently letting your fingertips run on his temple. He stirred, opening his eyes with a slight frown between his eyebrows. Then his eyes went wide. “Y/n? You’re here!?” You’d smiled, still somehow, unable to believe your eyes. “Shit, what time is it?” He jolted up and looked for his phone. You sat next to him, amused by his panicked state. “Fuck! I overslept!” He sheepishly smiled looking at you. “Hey! What happened? Have you been crying?” He asked, concerned after taking in your red face and teary eyes.
When you shushed him and abruptly wrapped him in a tight hug, he simply put his arms around you and reciprocated with double the enthusiasm, rocking both of you slightly. You nuzzled his neck while he rested his chin on your shoulder, eyes closed, taking in each other’s scent, after eons it felt. “I’ve missed you. I’ve missed you so much!” You said when finally you found your voice. “I’ve missed you too love. More than you’ll ever know.” You could hear his smile in his words. He understood, wordlessly, that this was the reason for your tears. That coming home without his presence had broken you. It made his heart swell.
“When did you come back?” You asked moving away your head but still in his arms. “Last night, more in the morning actually.” He smiled “Weren’t you suppose to come next week?” you asked.  “I wanted to surprise you at the airport. Told you the wrong date. Fuck I messed it up” He shook his head while running his hands over his hair. Gone was the aftermath of the peaky cut as you stared at his cropped up hair. Touching them you said “Are you kidding? This is the best surprise ever!” You touched your forehead with his. Closing your eyes, your nose touched his as his breath fused with yours. He lightly grabbed your face and kissed you once. Moving away just to look at you, as if asking permission. You tilted you face and kissed him, deeper and with much more passion. Intermingling your arms behind his neck as his went to your waist kneading and rubbing your skin through your dress, desperate to feel you.
He quickly rolled in a way that you found yourself underneath him on the bed and got his lips back on yours. His lips moved from your mouth to your neck, leaving wet, breathy kisses in their wake. “Cillian! I need to take a shower first” you halfheartedly protested. “Later.” He mumbled against your collarbone. So that was that.
His hands had already pulled your dress halfway up as he settled between your legs, naked you realized then, he was naked. He always slept naked. Even in the winters, he’d mentioned once and you loved it. Mostly because how convenient it became when it came to sex, which you both loved to have a lot. He had lost weight. Loads of it. He was losing it before going, following a strict plant based diet but as you touched his sides you could feel his ribs underneath your touch. But it was part of the job and you knew how determined and focused Cillian became when it came to his work.
The way he carelessly discarded the duvet on the floor  made you giggle at his excitement. “What’s so funny eh?” he smirked, raising an eyebrow, his face a breath away. You again noticed his cropped hair. “Your hair…” you said running your hand over them, “And?” he raised an eyebrow, “I don’t like them. I can’t run my hands through them. I miss your curls!” you pouted. “It’s just hair love, it’ll grow back. They always do. And you didn’t complain when I had the peaky cut yeah?” he said between kisses.
“I could pull on them, with this there is just no way…” You smiled showing him how you couldn’t even grab them in your hand. His mouth touching yours, lips hovering over each other in the most intimate way. You could feel him hardening between your legs “Oh I know… you do it when I make you feel good eh? When I make you come!” He whispered the last part near your ear making a shiver run down your spine. You blushed as he moved in to kiss you again. His tongue entered your needy mouth. Soon, you were naked and both of you started to explore each other’s bodies with your hands and mouths frantically. Remembering and rejoicing each other’s touch at the same time.
It was just you and him, nothing else existed or mattered in the moments that followed. You wrapped your legs around his hips as he started to rub his hard shaft up and down your slit, making you moan and groan until you could not take it anymore. “Should I make you cum like this?” he teased. You did not know how to respond to that. “Oh, please!” you cried, the pressure on your clit almost too much but just too little at the same time. You wanted the release, which was danm close too, but you wanted him inside, wanted to feel his cock sliding in and out of you. And then his fingers slid into your folds, rubbing that nub of verves, driving you insane, “I can’t Cillian, please…” you pleaded. His finger edged at your dripping entrance, “Fuck! You’re so fucking wet!” he whispered in your ear. He slid a finger in and started a steady rhythm. Your breathing hitched as you slid your hand between him and you to reach his throbbing cock, letting your hold slide up and down, matching the rhythm of his digits. “Fuck!” he breathed into your mouth. This was his move. And you loved it. The hovering over your lips with his mouth open. Somehow you found it much more intimate than kissing. Just breathing each other in. Close enough to take in each other’s breath and speak into each other’s mouth yet just not kissing.
“I need you! I need you inside of me now Cillian!” you begged. He kissed you then, deeply and passionately before taking his cock out of your grasp and entering you in a single hard thrust. You both groaned in pleasure. “Ah, Fuck!” he loved how you felt in his arms, loved how his cock fit inside of you so perfectly. Then he started to move. His movements hard and rushed. The bed’s back hitting the wall, aligning with the beats of his thrusts. He buried his face in the nook of your neck kissing and breathing heavily. Your hand slid to his lower back, making sure every time his pushed in, it was as deep as possible. The other one on his head, encouraging him to stay there as your lips met his shoulder, leaving wet kisses from one end to his neck. Both of you knew this was going to be fast and rough. Months of chastity had made you both impatient. This was fucking, lovemaking would have to wait its turn.
His fingers reached for your peaked nipple and pinched hard enough to make you moan. Then he stooped down to lick and kiss the pain away before doing the same to the other one. You were close, he knew it. The small noises escaping your mouth assured him that you were. You brought his face back up, having the sudden urge to kiss him. And he obliged.
Nose to nose, you stared into his deep blue’s as he stared back into yours. He was about to cum too, the way his breathing turned into loud pants, his mouth open, just inches from yours. Both you and him, closed your eyes relishing the pleasure and the sweet kind of thirst you both knew, only got quenched when your bodies danced together like this. Snuggling his face into the nook of your neck once more, he started fucking you harder. His rough, hard thrusts pushed you over the edge as you moaned his name again and again. He followed soon after with a loud long grunt and a bite to your shoulder. You loved hearing him this way. But had not told him yet, feeling a bit embarrassed admitting the fact to his face
“Fuck! This was something else!” he said after settling on his pillow, motioning you to come lie on his shoulder. You grabbed the duvet from the floor before resting your head on his chest as his hands circled around you, cradling you. “Mmhm.” You managed to say, still out of breath. Your response made him chuckle, “Did I work you too hard love?” He smiled, looking down at you. You looked up into his baby blues, “Hmm, I still can’t believe you’re here Cillian. Here in my arms, in our bed. You make me so danm happy you know that?” you confessed. He stopped smiling, “I can’t believe it either. There wasn’t a day that passed when I didn’t think of you. Especially at night, always at night.” He said kissing your forehead. “Oh! Wait before I forget!” suddenly you got up and grabbed your night gown from the hooks behind the door and rushed outside. Cillian was sitting up when you came back holding your hands behind you, “Close your eyes.” Cillian frowned with an incredulous expression on his face. “Why?” you pouted, “Because it’s a surprise Cillian duh! C’mon now do it!” He cocked an eyebrow shaking his head but then did close them. You placed the black ribbon tied box on his lap.
“Oh Y/N you really didn’t have to do it love!” he admonished. “Don’t be silly my dearest Cillian. It’s your birthday! C’mon now open it!” He worked on the ribbon as you sat folding your knees beneath you and bit your nails in anticipation. You hoped he’d like it.
Tumblr media
It was a Rolex. You’d seen him eyeing it from a magazine so you’d made a note. He was like that. He never asked for anything outright or showed his feeling like that, one had to be very observing to know what pleased him. His mouth opened, “How did you…? I’ve never said a word… wow…” His face was turning red now. “See I know you Cillian Murphy. I know you like my own danm heart!” he shook his head. “C’mon now put it on. I want to see how it looks.” And he did. You closed the clasp before he held his arm up for you to see. It looked absolutely incredible. He couldn’t stop smiling. More than the watch, it was the way you’d figured it out that was plucking the strings of his heart. He was actually quite surprised how you’d known, trying to think hard if he’d actually mentioned it to you. Nope, he hadn’t, he was sure. “Thank you…” he mumbled, unable to stop smiling. “Oh Mr. Murphy…” you bit your lip before pushing him back and climbing on top of him.
After lazily making out some more, you pushed him away to take a shower. Traveling always made you feel filthy afterwards, so as a ritual you always took a shower the first thing after reaching home. This time however, Cillian had very demandingly interrupted that ritual, and you had loved every single minute of it.
