'destabilize a region then exploit the power vaccum and desperation it creates' is a play we've seen over and over again.

The question is why is Israel doing it?

Because it is a puppet state. It's serves the purpose of providing the USA someone to hide behind while they destabilize the region.

A puppet state, puppet régime, puppet government or dummy government is a state that is de jure independent but de facto completely dependent upon an outside power and subject to its orders.

Puppet states have nominal sovereignty, except that a foreign power effectively exercises control through economic or military support.

By leaving a local government in existence the outside power evades all responsibility, while at the same time successfully paralyzing the local government they tolerate.

Short answer: using their own armies to carry out the plans is a surefire way to land themselves in a world war and so using Israel is an easy cop out.

The longer answer is very long.

So what "plans" are they trying to carry out, exactly, right?

You know who else said that though? The plans outlined in Project 2025 by the Heritage Foundation. "The one that's gonna put queer people in detention centers?" Yeah that one. In fact our official are using a lot of the Same Exact Language and working found in Project2025.

"Israel has a right to defend itself" and to take what it deems appropriate measures is how the USA has been avoiding calling Netanyahu a war criminal isn't it? A Google search will show Biden also has tried to block/stop Iran's nuclear development.

Very reassuring that they see the need for that for precaution, isn't it?

And sure maybe you could say this is a conspiracy theory, except US representatives are using the same EXACT language and Islamophobia to justify what's happening. Exhibit #1 the link to secretary of state, but don't worry. We're just warming up and he's not the only one.

Translation: the Suez Canal brings Egypt billions of dollars a year and several parties (the countries listed) would prefer that money be funneled to them instead. The problem is that the aforementioned parties have been destabilizing the region for so long that establishing an alternate trade route through those territories would be seen as an act of aggression if not war.

The heritage foundation has always intended to call anyone who resists that plan a terrorist. Its their way of manufacturing consent to kill people.

So isn't it just so crazy that the countries and regions outlined there (US, Israel, India, Egypt, and Gulf States) are ALSO the countries who presented the IMEC at the G20 summit in September, just a month before Israel started it's genocide?

Oh, you don't know what the IMEC is or why it matters?

Well remember the Suez and how much income it brings in? Yeah well it's also regulated by the state, which means it can't be bought or bribed the same way that a canal owned privately could.

Which means that Egypt is the sole benefactor and controls who else gets to benefit. This often does not include the USA.

The USA does not like that.

Enter: the IMEC.

The India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) is a rail and shipping corridor that aims to boost regional development and economic interconnectivity between India, the USA, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel and the European Union. The project consists of two corridors: the eastern corridor will connect India to the Arabian Gulf, and the northern corridor will connect the Gulf to Europe.

[..]Hence, there are technical limitations that the IMEC may face, not least in the Middle East due to its vast desert regions. The construction of railway lines and subsequent transportation of goods would be a difficult task requiring everything from the standardisation of the railway track gauges to the engine configurations. What’s more, one of the main link ports of the IMEC, Haifa, is in Israel, a country which is unstable at the moment due to the Palestinian freedom struggle.

It's how they intend to circumvent the Suez Canal entirely.

Unfortunately for them, Palestine exists. And as such, this creates a huge problem for them in building the IMEC through Palestine to Haifa. Especially since the resistance fighters through the entire middle east violently oppose the west's imperialism.

So something must be done. Again, we refer back to calling Anyone who questions Israel as an antisemitic terrorist as justification for killing Palestinians en masse. And for the ones they can't justify killing? Moving them.

Meaning that yeah. They planned for that, too.

And not even in secret.

But that they are intentionally instigating and provoking action in the middle east.

I've been reading Exodus lately and I've just gotten to the portions where God gives the first commands to the people via Moses (twice), and then goes on to give detailed instructions about the tabernacle and how it should be built, and I'm just... we think art is unimportant?? we think things only mean as much as their functionality?? we so easily fall into the trap of believing that beauty means nothing, that it's cheap and only worth whatever mindless distraction it brings, that it's barely more than a cheap sensual thrill, that buildings should just be practical and plain and cheap, that everything should be functional but ultimately disposable, that paintings and dresses and mugs and curtains and carpets are just pretty but have no real value, that beauty is fleeting and vain and therefore shouldn't be thought about too much, if even looked for at all... we fall into these traps so easily, and we forget that there are chapters upon chapters of painstakingly detailed plans to build one portable worship tent, and those plans have been handed down through thousands of years of human history, because beauty and art and skill in craft is important

I haven’t been insane about Vi enough lately so time to pour out some random thoughts. free association thinking time:

been thinking about her “It's my savings. I wanna be rich, okay? So I can travel, eat well, buy cool stuff… So no one can say I can't do something!” And none of the following will really be insightful or revelatory because it’s just what she says here but. yeah! that’s vi! the main reason she’s so big on money is because she has to be to get what she wants out of life! it’s what lets her say no to people telling her what to do, and that’s important to her because she has no choice but to be independent and support herself. because no one else will. No one at the Hive had anything positive or supportive to say about her being an explorer until she went out and did it (to a ridiculously successful degree, too. I have to wonder if/how it might’ve differed if she was on a regular accomplishment level team. not the one leading them all to the mission to the Hive). she never had a choice not to be. I could also see that being a little part of why she starts out not really being a teamwork person. past experiences have taught her she can’t rely on anyone else for support. (does make me wonder about what if she’d met Chubee before leaving the Hive. obviously she still would’ve left, but how might even a bit of support have changed other things?)

ok so at one point there was this post talking about people with money and how it affects their life like. if you can afford to get a nanny then you can only do the fun parts of childcare and when you stop feeling like taking care of the kid you can just hand them to someone else to take them away. and again likely not especially revelatory but I would guess that’s the kind of way queen bianca handled the bees as her daughters (she does care about them. absolutely. but not in the same hands-on attached way as we usually associate with parents) and thinking about how that kind of treatment would then apply to vi....hm

Thinking about using the journal I got for writing my dad's eulogy for trying to process my grief with it. The letter from me I found in his lockbox is still in that front sleeve, along with one of the memorial folders they had at the funeral.

I think I don't want to write it all on here. I think I've talked about my emotions too much as of late.

You know what I’m mad at the sex scene again. I’ve seen so many takes from rhae x alicent shippers making comparisons of alicent with viserys and it’s pissing me off bc low key her face did not look satisfied. I’m sorry guys but the actor could have done better. Rhae even had a better sex scene with cole. If they wanted to portray pleasure they should’ve have made it more clear. I don’t want to make it Emma’s fault but they do hate the ship so I wouldn’t be surprised if that was their intention. I love them but seriously that look was not it.. maybe it was the director’s fault but I can’t get over it and now that it’s done there’s so many anti shippers using it for their advantage saying she’s a victim of grooming so she felt like she wanted it blah blah blah. ETA: As @kylo-renperor pointed out, Emma doesn’t hate the ship. They have cheered it on. They called their wedding magical. Emma said that Daemon healed Rhaenyra and gave her strength. Their very pro-Daemon. They’ve also said other pro-Daemyra things. It’s just that anything that can be taken as even remotely negative is more click-baity so all headlines grab that stuff.

Rhaenyra did not look bored. She did not have dead eyes. Her hand was curved possessively around Daemon’s neck, her fingers entangled in the strands of his hair. That look on her face was one of deep satiation, of ownership, of a roaring 'fuck you' to the gods that he was hers now, she had claimed him.

I have watched that love scene countless times now and it only grows more powerful. The people who complain and see anything less than the glorious, achingly beautiful love scene that it was from beginning to end are those who aren't paying attention to the reality and logic of the story.

Those people wanted hot, hot, fast-paced, frantic, hungry, grasping, desperate sexytiems. They wanted a Daemon smiling devilishly. They wanted tits and ass. They wanted Rhaenyra gasping, moaning, going all over-the-top O-town. They wanted Rhaenyra smiling like the cat who ate the canary in that final shot

However, if we had gotten all of that it would have just been about sex. Like the Rhaenyra/Cole scene. It would have been just about Rhaenyra’s pleasure. Just like the Rhaenyra/Cole scene.

Instead what we got was a love scene that was about two people connecting. Two people finding themselves again in each other. Two people finding home in each other. It was about two people revealing themselves to each other. It was about fragility, vulnerability, openness, need, want, trust, desire, and love. It was about two souls that were two halves finally uniting again, but it was a delicate dance because what if... what if... something happened yet again to keep things from reaching their conclusion?

And that look on Rhaenyra’s face? It was defiance against all who had held her down, held her back, kept her from her true self. Because she had found her true self once again. In his arms. And no one and nothing would take that from her ever again.

To say that the Daemyra fanbase hasn’t won is just patently wrong.

Episode 1: Daemon first scene: With Rhaenyra. They speak in Valyrian together. He tells her to “turn around” in a sensual way, gives her a gift, says “beautiful” in Valyrian. The entire scene had major flirty vibes.

All throughout the tournament, Daemon and Rhaenyra are making eyes at each other. Even when he asks/gets the favor from Alicent (which he does solely to piss off Otto), he and Rhaenyra are making eyes at each other.

At Aemma’s funeral, it’s with Daemon that she shares a moment. Again, they speak Valyrian. He comforts her. He gives her the strength to call to Syrax to light the bodies aflame.

Episode 2: Rhaenyra confronts Daemon over the stolen egg, and the framing of the scene makes it appear as if it’s just the two of them on there despite the fact that his lover and armed guard is behind him, and Otto and his small army, and Syrax is behind her. They, again, speak Valyrian, have their little private conversation. Daemon was willing to go to bloodshed with Otto, but at a few challenging words and a smirk from Rhaenyra simply throws her the egg.

Episode 3: They don’t even have scenes together and yet they are paralleled heavily.

Episode 4: Rhaenyra is fingering the necklace he gave her while meeting potential suitors. Rhaenyra sees Daemon return and looks on at him flying home on Caraxes in joyous wonder. Rhaenyra tracks Daemon’s movements in the Red Keep’s main hall. Rhaenyra is giddy while talking to Daemon with Viserys/Alicent. When Daemon/Rhaenyra talk, he listens to her, she tells him her true feelings. He takes her out, we have some fun times, some sexy times. Later, Daemon tells Viserys that he wants Rhaenyra as she is, he wants to wed her.

Episode 5: Daemon kills his wife so that he can be with Rhaenyra. Goes to her wedding reception, throughout the whole thing, the two exchange glances non-stop. Have a heated conversation (in Valyrian) where she tells him to make him her wife. Daemon comes this close to doing so.

Episode 6: Again, no scenes together, again, heavily paralleled.

Episode 7: Rhaenyra tracks Daemon’s movements. Daemon smiles, flustered, giddy meeting Rhaenyra’s gaze. Heartfelt, open conversation. Kissing on the beach, beautiful, haunting, open, revealing, love scene. Daemon got her back when attacked in the Driftmark Hall. Rhaenyra proposes to Daemon. They work out a plan together so they can get married. Awesomely Old Valyria style wedding ceremony where they both look at peace, joyously, ridiculously happy.

Bur, yeah, we’re not winning. OK, then.

It's wild growing up as a socially awkward child with little friends and then becoming popular in literally every group setting as an adult
