One time driving on a curvy mountain road there was a pickup towing a long horse trailer coming the opposite direction when the trailer swung out into my lane, I thought I was going to die. Luckily it straightened out enough so I could dodge it but to this day when ever I go around that corner I take special care.

Abandoned Horse Trailer, Oahu, Hawaii, 2009 One from the archives that I ran across tonight while searching for other photographs in Lightroom Classic. I was on Oahu teaching a couple of workshops for the University of Hawaii at Manoa. When I travel and if my schedule allows it, I like to leave some extra time to explore interesting backroads while on my way to other destinations. This image was found along one of those backroads.

1. The writer hasn't watched any Classic Who, and was unaware every single TARDIS we see - including the Master's and a Timelord who's name I forget whose BODY makes the noise as he's popping in to talk to the Doctor - makes that trademark noise

2. The writer has seen Classic Who and all timelords as a collective drive their TARDISes with the parking brake on because they like the noise, which says some hilarious things about Time Lord society

there was a room in the old family farmhouse that was technically my uncle’s office but we just called it ‘the clown room’ because it was decorated floor to ceiling with clownery. clown paintings and posters. piles of clown magazines. clown statues. and even worse is the house was burnt down at one point and when they finished fixing it up they put the clown room back together with the same decorations, now all at least somewhat damaged in the fire, the worst of which were the horrific partially melted clown statues
