A quick WIP from this week! After list changes the Ballistus will be seeing some play over the Redemptor so that I can actually have some board presence. Still quite a bit to do but after looking at the model more I won't have to paint as much iron colour so that's exciting.
I Needed to grab my desk buddy last night ‘cause my DND session was cancelled, my partner worked late last night and no one was available to hang out on discord. (I’m p pitiful for that I know XD)

Waow, two whole evenings & an afternoon's worth of terrain assembly from one box, this was a good purchase. Can't wait to play with it, the close quarters rules look really fun
Steve and Eddie making fun of each other through each other's hobbies like:
"Aww what's wrong baby boy? You look a bit down, do you want me to take you to the park so you can run around outside in the fresh air and throw your ball around?"
Vs
"Aww babe, do you need me to get your dice so you can roleplay out your feelings instead of talking through them?"
Spent the day cleaning my workshop and working on a wedding gift. Building out a piano coatrack where the white keys can be levered out to hold coats, then pushed back to get the piano motif. The white keys are made of a curly hard maple, and the black keys out of some walnut. Still have a lot of sanding left and need to build the outer frame.
Rough key layout
Relief cut to let the key rotate.
Initially assembled and working. Really happy how the grain flows across the keys
Having the Dark Urge solve murders is ironic, but I think they'd potentially be quite good at it. They have medical training for the autopsies, and they've been hanging out with every flavour of murderer Baldur's Gate has to offer, so they're familiar with the motivations and methods of serial killers.
The last two weeks have been pretty busy hobby wise! Got my Bladeguard squad finished just in time to need a second set of 3 for what I like to call the Marneus Clowncar. The Sergeant in the center was painted 2 years ago and it's nice to have a direct comparison to see how I've improved and what I still need to work on.
On top of them I also got some work on the Infiltrators so I nearly have a squad of 10 (although they're only at Battle Ready standards). I also got the entire Titanicus starter box put together, so I'm hoping to get a test game in with my wife before she goes on her trip this weekend.
Next on the itinerary is to get more work on the Infiltrators and I think I want to get some progress in on the Repulsor Executioner for my Sons of Salix now that I've found a 40k playgroup in my city.
"You wanna hear the bad news or the really bad news?" "Actually, I don't want any news Damon." "Alright, let me rephrase: Do you want to hear how the council is back in vampire mode or how I just killed Uncle John Gilbert?"
Please don’t compare yourself to my blog because I only mostly show the highlights. And just because I reblog something about studying languages doesn’t mean I’ve actually done much that day!
There’s nothing wrong with taking it slow and enjoying the language! We’re all here to learn because we want to. There’s no pressure to learn quickly. Learning a language is a lifelong journey, and there’s no rush to fluency. Whatever amount you’re doing, it’s okay and you’re welcome on this blog :-)
