You discover this about him pretty early on. The first time the gears begin to click in your mind, alerting you to that little weak point of his, he's latched onto your neck like a leech. That is, until you plan a little surprise for him.

Keigo's birthday comes and goes each year without celebration. Occasionally, he'll scroll through well-meaning but ultimately shallow comments of well wishes on his HPSC-controlled social media after his night shift for the day reaches its end; but that's the extent of it. This year, however, he has something to come home to. Someone.

The second he turns on the lights to his apartment after work, his eyes widen as you trot up to him with a sleek metallic, grey box in hand.

"Surprise! I got you a little something." You can hardly contain your giddiness, rocking back and forth on your heels as you extend the neatly tied gift for him to open.

"Aww, you shouldn't have," he says, barely covering his bewildered, racing heart with practiced charm.

He plucks the ribbon from its place, opening the delicate box with more care than you'd ever know. A set of rings, glimmering in polished silver, sits atop a tiny cushion.

"I know it'd raise suspicion with the public if I got you just one, so..."

You gently pluck his left hand in yours, peppering kisses along each knuckle with a reverence that steals his breath. A swallow sticks in his throat at the crest of his Adam's apple, as you grab the ring meant for his ring finger and hold it up to the light.

It has your name carved on the inside.

When you slip it on for him, it feels like the name were carved into his very skin instead.

His feathers tremble as he finally gets his wish, and he resolves to never take it off again. It becomes a comfort for him to fidget with in his darkest moments, on missions that take him halfway across the world from you.

When you rub your thumb against it as he pins your hands above your head, he could swear it burns.

Yours, yours, yours. He's finally yours.

just thinking about musician eddie who ends up doing country music under a pseudonym similar to Orville Peck. Eddie having his rock and metal band but the influence of Wayne and his upbringing doesn’t leave him. So he puts on a mask and picks up an acoustic to be this character. A character that’s closer to his real life than he lets on. A deep voiced cowboy singing about the difficulty of growing up gay but how comfortable he is with his identity.

He only ever does small gigs under this name and the audience isn’t huge. But there’s one regular that turns up to every show, he’s never stayed to talk to Eddie after and Eddie’s never been brave enough to go up to him. He knows he’d let all his secrets out under the attention of those hazel eyes and pretty boy smile.

Tonight though? Tonight he might just risk it all because the gif is over. Eddie is standing at the bar and he’s being handed a drink he definitely didn’t ask for by a man he definitely wants to know more about.
