Time for a good old fashioned Whump scenario!

Jaime dealing with some sort of Scarab malfunction that leaves him bedridden and in a lot of pain. Eddie cuddling with him and rubbing his back because his unnatural body heat helps mitigate it. Eddie telling him funny stories and talking about comic books to distract him.

Jaime waking up a day to two later to find that the pain's gone, but Eddie's still curled around him protectively. Khaji Da informs him that the issue's been fixed, but Jaime figures he can hold off on telling Eddie that until morning.

I am very normal about this pairing.

Oh, I keep seeing you posting devilfish, you also like blue beetle but recently I’ve seen a little jaime/eddie content which I think is a little interesting. What do you think about that?

I do appreciate the HellBeetle pairing, and I can see where they'd be really cute. There's certainly fuel enough for them.

And Eddie deserves tons of love regardless, whether he's paired with La'gaan or Jaime and Khaji Da-- because I also adore Khaji Da and personally dislike it when they're written out of things involving Jaime-- it's just that I personally prefer Devilfish over HellBeetle.

And since I'm pretty much the captain of my tiny Devilfish crackship (I'm responsible for almost all the Devilfish fics that exist 😭), I'm automatically going to come down in favor of that ship more. lol

Jaime and Eddie 10/10 are a cute ship though.

eddie是个恶魔(非原种族)Jaime是个人类(是否完全仍待讨论)所以这对cp很容易联想到宗教元素。我喜欢这对cp，它几乎是我最爱的Jaime的同性cp，因为它感觉自然且可爱。但我有过一个故事，那更像是在午睡时半睡半醒做过的一个梦(我已经完善过了)。

在这个故事里有个和eddie长的一模一样的人，但他们不一样。我不知道是因为头发和眼睛的颜色都淡了许多还是气质上的，因为背景是一片雪地像是那种核冬天下的雪地，茫茫无际。我觉得那是在美墨边境，我不知道为什么但那就是在美墨边境。

Jaime和那个男人，我觉得他的名字应该是神的名字我不知道(梦不都是这样吗)他们在雪地中相伴。在一个末世的边境区域(像是藤本树的《炎拳》中的末日环境下)到处都是饿死的尸体。男人需要保暖需要食物而Jaime有圣甲虫维持他的生命但仅此而已。后来为了不让男人饿死，Jaime砍掉了他的左臂，在他这样做的时候他想了一个问题:“如果我是一头牲口，我会愿意被我的朋友吃掉吗？”

我知道到这里就有点令人不舒服这也是这个梦给我的感觉，太多隐喻。这完全违背了可爱和自然。但后面的故事发展的很好，末世下的友谊

雪地中的结局是，男人像耶稣一样在十字架上，唯一不同的是尸体在燃烧。

时间来到了Jaime加入了TT ，他和红恶魔成为了朋友，他们玩的很好。有一天血兄弟吸走了eddie的超能力，Jaime上前去查看eddie的情况，当他转身时，Jaime看见了Eddie的脸。

Jaime在一瞬间就崩溃了，燃烧的尸体，雪地，饿死的难民，火，他说“我是耶稣”，雏菊，牲口(这里是最让人发毛的地方)

然后就结束了。在Eddie死亡的那期漫画，令我最印象深刻的是Jaime的旁白。关于时间的那段话。我觉得，时间不仅是通过把你揍的鼻青脸肿让你牢牢记住他，他也可以是燃烧在十字架上的尸体，并借此不断告诉你什么。

这像一个发了疯的，意识流且个人化的故事，有些像eva那样风格的地方，甚至有些迷幻。

我在以前就对这个cp有很多想法，但都是放在脑子里没有拿出来过，能交流的人太少所以我创作给自己看……他们总能我想到雪地/草地，火，阳光/阴天，我真的很想很想让他们在雪地里接吻，旁边是灯光或者一团火，在一天中的蓝调时刻或者阴天的下午。在白色的毯子下，他们接吻。

抱歉，我下次会拿出些可爱的想法(*擦掉额头上的汗 *致歉 (⊙x⊙;)

If my favorite character isn't very popular, wouldn't ALL of their ships be rarepairs? or do you just like disregard the most popular ship they have? like on ao3 the biggest ship is bluepulse and even then it barely breaks 1000.

As I've mentioned before, I am not going to be policing the pairings. I'm using ao3 as a guide but I'm letting everyone make their own judgments on what they consider to be a rarepair. That being said, you may get a few strange looks if you decide to do Superman x Lois or Nightwing x Starfire 😅. But basically, if you believe that your ship does not get a lot of love and attention, then go ahead and use them! 😁

...if you still want my personal opinion though, I think unpopular characters should have all of their ships count as rarepairs 💖
