sae has acquired a new and infuriating habit.

well, maybe not infuriating but it does send a twinge of annoyance through you every time.

presently, you're gathering up the dirty laundry to take to the washing machine. it's one of sae's off days and not having the energy to really do anything, you opted to stay in. giving sae time to rest and you time to tidy up around the house.

"honey, is there anything else you need washed before i chuck this all in the machine?" you ask, throwing a glance at him from where he's lounging on the couch.

"no, i put everything in the hamper," is his reply.

later, when the two of you are organizing the now clean clothes, sae gets up when a text alerts him that the food you two had ordered earlier was ready for pick up.

"be back soon," he says, and you instinctively turn your head up to him for a kiss.

here's where that annoying habit comes in.

sae reaches over and squishes your cheeks together with one hand, fingers pressing into your skin, which in turn pushes your lips out so that you resemble a blowfish. that is when he presses an obnoxiously loud and over-exaggerated kiss to your lips, smirking when he pulls away.

you stare up at him in irritation, eyebrows furrowed and mouth pulled into a pout.

sae will never tell you how he only does that to see that exact look on your face, thinking you look so pretty wearing that pout.

"you're so annoying," you say and make sure to throw one of his t-shirts at him as he walks coolly towards the door, hoping it hits him in the head.

I literally saw someone say laios is too autistic for romance... you guys HAVE to start being respectful to autistic people. like I know he's just a character but its emblematic of real problems. Even if it's just a joke, it is NOT FUNNY to perpetuate ableism in the form of jokes. I see like a thousand posts a day about how he has autistic swag and in the SAME POST joke about how his friends actually hate him, nobody could REALLYYY like him they're all just pretending <3, he's too autistic for sex or romance or love.

He has canonical problems in the text with people pretending to be his friend, or people secretly hating him. We've gone over and over again about how divorcing autistic people and characters from sex and romance on the whole is infantilizing. (individual ace/aro headcanons are fine, but maybe also examine where they're coming from when its characters widely seen as autistic). I feel like a lot of fans don't even realize what they're doing. oftentimes what you think is funny fan content is actually you making fun of him and excluding him from things based on his autistic traits.

And this isn't even MENTIONING the racism in making kabru be aggressive to laios for no reason all the time when kabru has genuine reason and understanding even when he thinks he might need to kill laios. OR how weird it is that people will boil down falin's autistic traits for farcille and say like "yeah she's similar to laios, but she's less of a 'freak' (AKA has developed people pleasing social skills) so marcille likes her still :)"

it's so insane to me how differently jonah treats jon compared to how he treats everyone else. throughout his life he treated people like tools, like something "to watch, to know, and ultimately to discard". he doesn't care about their suffering as long as it benefits Him. but even though he separates himself from other people, puts himself on a higher pedestal, it never seems to apply to jon. with jon it's always "our master", "our victory", "the world that we have made". everyone else is for us to use. the world is our playground. he’s been living with this "use or be used" mindset for centuries, always on the run, never safe, never trusting anyone, just to meet jon and decide to include him in his life-long plan… and yes, part of this was out of the necessity (he did need to get an archivist for this to work), but if it was purely transactional, then why would he say all that. gayass
