"At the start, I was calmer during NHK Trophy. But after the 6 minute warmups I was quite anxious. Until it was the time for the steps, it became a performance where I just focused on calming down and jumping. Stephane also agreed with me on that. But steps were really good, and spins were good too. Stephane told me that what I put out now was my base, and next time I should challenge."

"I am surpised that this is my SB. I feel like they can pass it after this. My flip wasn't the best either. But I think there's no big issues with the adjustment for my jumps."

About NHK:

"I'm not the person who can say anything about that. Sorry. I won't say anything. But for me, (my performance) was better at NHK Trophy. Free too, I think the jumps in my free were better."

"Stephane also calmed down a lot after NHK Trophy. He watched my daily practices and said I performed in my best shape and I think he was a bit sad that it ended up like it wasn't that way. But, I was really happy that Stephane felt that way. Well, next time as well, he's here to watch this competition with hopes that I can bring out a similar performance."

"Stephane also thinks the step sequence was good today. This step sequence, although Stephane's choreography is always difficult, this time it has a lot of parts that focuses on my strengths so I always skate with the feeling that it's easy to skate to."

"I want to jump with a reason, so I tried out many things but I couldn't jump (the flip) very well. But what I thought was to jump toeloop and axel properly, and bring out a good short program. Facing the next competition, I will work on what I want to improve."
