About the interviews:

The Kizuna thing isn't even written by him, it's an article by another person. These books aren't written by the mangakas ever, they do not have the time nor is the article written from Kishi's pov. Shocker, people write a lot of things in anime merchandise that the creator isn't even involved in. [link] If it were written by Kishi, then an interviewer wouldn't have had to ask Kishi years later whether brotherly relationship was what he was going for with Naruto and Sasuke's bond, and Kishi wouldn't have had given such a cryptic answer where he mulls over it. Because he would have given the answers years back already. Also the fact that he's asked to define their relationship shows how weird it is to the readers. He NEVER told people to not interpret their relationship as romantic. And personally, I have seen movies and a comic where two characters referred to each other as brothers, and their creator referred to them as "soul brothers" but later revealed them to also have romantic feelings.

But I don't expect your mind to be able to comprehend things like this, it does require a little bit of 1+1=2 math. The interview about Seishi is about the feeling of empathy, not that they are literally Naruto and Sasuke's characters. It is one aspect. Kishi has joked about how Naruto and Sasuke are him and his editor too, because he will try to impress his editor. So? And he has said Kushina is based on his wife. So Naruto is him and Kushina is his wife? Why aren't you freaking about this freudian stuff? I know why. I also remember someone saying if Kishi REALLY saw his relationship with his brother as the exact same as Naruto and Sasuke, his brother would need a restraining order against him. It was funny and accurate.

I have wrote about the inconsistencies in his interviews and what shows that he definitely didn't write their dynamic as the same as with his brother despite having one aspect of it [link] and here is another post talking about it more deeply (they also linked my post I just mentioned) [link]. This post also explains how Kishimoto wrote Naruto constantly to do what Sakura can't for Sasuke, and she also included many links to my other posts where I talk about how Kishi wrote Sakura and Sasuke's dynamic, which you can also read if you feel like it. About how the audience perceives their dynamic:

The thing is, you and SS fandom don't understand how stories are written. Authors don't do stuff randomly. They use narrative and literary devices to tell their story. Kishi himself has remarked on it many times how careful he is about writing characters, how much he does research, how careful he is about angles etc. [link] If Naruto and Sasuke's relationship was written as brotherly in the text, in the manga, it wouldn't make a bunch of people uncomfortable. There wouldn't have been meltdowns after specific chapters nor would we have people saying when the manga was going on that they are annoyed by the "gay stuff". When Luffy was saving Ace in Impel Town/Marineford arc, no one in the dudebro community was uncomfortable nor saying it was gay. Eventhough it was a touching and dramatic storyline that showed us how much the two cared about each other. When Alibaba and Cassim were having their past and relationship unravelled in Magi, no one was uncomfortable. Eventhough it was tragic and dramatic and touching yet again. Because despite neither of these pairs being blood-brothers, they were WRITTEN to have a brotherly dynamic/development/relationship in the text, in their behavior. Which is why this also translated to the audience successfully.

If Naruto and Sasuke were written to be brotherly, they would refer to each other as such, including in Boruto, and would tell other people such as well. Hell, they would be proud to tell other people that this person they respect and admire the most is like a brother to them. But they don't. Naruto even told Hagoromo they aren't siblings, but friends. Sasuke said he has only one brother and that is Itachi. If they were brotherly, Kishi wouldn't make Naruto kiss Sasuke, even if accidentally, and have that to be their first interaction. He wouldn't say he wants to be the first one to have rivals kiss in shounen. Not a single brotherly relationship in media is written like this. You know, tropes matter. He wouldn't have Sasuke think fondly about the kiss as one of his most precious memories when he is dying, while years later implying more than once Sasuke never kissed Sakura lol. He wouldn't say Sakura had her first kiss stolen by her rival Naruto. He wouldn't make Sakura be jealous of Naruto's importance to Sasuke, while also giving her zero importance in saving Sasuke. He would not constantly make fun of Sakura by having her be thirsty/desperate for Sasuke's attention, any little crumb from him, while Sasuke ignores her and focuses on Naruto. Kishi knows how his writing comes off. Plenty of people, both men and women who weren't shippers, made jokes about Sasuke going "where's Naruto? hey Naruto" whenever Sakura speaks. Because Kishi made it such a constant dynamic with the three of them. People who have the basic amount of media literacy will get it, and thus all those jokes and memes were born. If they were brotherly, the anime studio wouldn't have them make eyes at each other while lyrics "please kiss me all night" play in the background, aside from all the other gay ops/ends with romantic lyrics to them. And since Kishi watches the anime, he would have probably point out it's weird. That's what I would do if I wrote about my relationship with my brother and people did that. Magi anime didn't have Alibaba and Cassim in romantic endings...

Kishi wouldn't put this in the movie he made if he wanted them to appear as brothers. Everyone was saying this looked gay/homoerotic when the movie dropped. I saw men on forums say "lol this looks so homoerotic, why did he have to catch Sasuke like that" and even in Chinese theaters people were giggling during this scene. Because it's so in your face fanservice. And Kishi said he cares about angles a lot in his story and that he redraws them if they aren't good enough to drive the message home. So what exactly does that tell you?

People usually aren't sexual about their brother

He wouldn't sexualize and put so much homoeroticism surrounding Sasuke's character, if Sasuke was solely inspired by his brother. You know, unless he had a questionable obsession with his brother. [link]

He wouldn't make Naruto literally get sexually excited when about to fight Sasuke lol [link] [link] that's so obvious Japanese men got amused, uncomfortable and even angry about it, if Sasuke and Naruto were him and his brother.

Romantic tropes/brotherly tropes are not the same

The fact Kishimoto's het couples parallel Naruto and Sasuke's dynamic is very evident. If "brotherly" relationship resembles romantic couples by the same author instead of the other brother dynamics he has written, guess what, it's not written as a brother dynamic lol. Again, proof that he didn't write their dynamic as brotherly. Both Mario/Saori [link] [link] and Minato/Kushina [link] [link] parallel Naruto/Sasuke and have the same tropes as them.

Raikage/Killer B is written as a normal brother relationship. Itachi/Sasuke is written as a complicated brother relationship with a lot of tragedy. Shikamaru/Choji is written as a normal friendship. Kakashi/Obito is written as a complicated friendship with a lot of tragedy. Naruto/Sasuke resembles the romantic relationships Kishimoto wrote, instead of these ones I mentioned. Even in their world, Naruto's actions are seen as irrational and obsession, and the weirdness of it all is constantly pointed out, by Sai, Kabuto, Sakura, Raikage, Itachi. This is a choice Kishi made when he wrote them. [link]

He also made a homage to Devilman and Akira/Ryo relationship that even people in the Japanese fandom noticed. [link] He specifically picked the chapter where Ryo admits having romantic feelings for Akira, and the fight (which parallels Vote2) ending with Ryo realizing how deep his feelings for Akira lie. Kishimoto would not do that if Naruto and Sasuke were based on him and his brother. Why would he pick a character famous for being gay for his best friend/enemy in a chapter where we finally get to see inside Sasuke's head?

Aside from paralleling Hinata's feelings towards Naruto in the Pain arc with Naruto's feelings towards Sasuke in the very next arc, he also foreshadowed a romantic double-suicide with Naruto and Sasuke during said arc. ROMANTIC. [link]

Sasuke on the other hand, was never satisfied with Naruto calling him brother or friend. If their relationship was strictly brotherly, they wouldn't need to ponder about the nature of their relationship, because that's not how any brotherly relationship is written in media. [link]

Kishimoto dislikes SS and talks about Sakura's "love" negatively more than once. [link] Sakura's love is selfish, toxic... yet this doesn't mean anything. Sakura wanted to save Sasuke, yet the one Sasuke said saved him was Naruto.

Now think hard. Use the modest intellect you possess. So aside from Kishimoto having Naruto show sexual attraction towards Sasuke to the point it made Japanese men uncomfortable, he also used romantic tropes (one of them being double-suicide which a writer Kishimoto admires is famous for because he mostly wrote romantic plays ending in that) and romantic parallels to show Naruto's feelings towards Sasuke multiple times, which he did not use for other male friendships in the manga. To the point many Japanese men wondered why Kishimoto "has to push homosexual agenda with Naruto's character", despite the fact he's supposed to be " a normal/good guy". All of these things somehow do not mean anything, nor do the multiple other things I have pointed out on my blog.

I'm not asking you to "buy" into anything, because understanding Naruto is a love story between Naruto and Sasuke and that Kishimoto does not even like Sakura let alone SS would require a little bit of reading comprehension and common sense. Which you and the person you linked sacrificed at the pink altar of Sakura worship, because to you not having anything in common with your partner nor having anything meaningful to talk about nor knowing anything about each other is somehow love. To you having someone else help and understand the person you love because you can't somehow makes an ideal relationship. You mistake Sakura's onesided melodrama for love. She has never said anything meaningful about Sasuke's character, neither has Sasuke said anything meaningful about her. Yet you believe Kishi wrote some deep relationship between them. How am I supposed to reason with someone like that? But your gaslighting doesn't phase me, I have seen all this before many times, it's old news by now. You can call me delusional all you want, but I trust my own understanding thank you very much. It's not like that much is even required, as proven by how many people, even the ones that don't have any need to (casual viewers, straight men, etc.) see it, still see it. Because it is that obvious that only desperate need to not see it blinds someone like you from seeing it.

So I decided to post my thoughts from AO3 about JJK and how to correct the issues i saw in the next arc. Let me know what you all think.

rant:

I didnt like how gege built up the zenin clan only to throw them away as a plot device for maki's development. I thought the story would take a different turn when megumi was named heir but it felt rushed and extremely contrived, beginning immediately with the round table decision to KILL megumi. I cannot understand why anyone backed this decision. Why would a family that values power, tradition, prestige and inherited techniques so much not just have a duel to decide the leader?

1) It retcons everything we know about the Zenin including Toji's logic for giving megumi away. He knew if megumi had a good technique the family would invest in his development… turned out megumi didn't just have a "good" technique he had THE BEST technique! Toji' concern was never that theyd kill his som but that they'd turn megumi into a POS. Gojo explictly stated that hundreds of years ago a TS and 6E user killed each other in a mock-duel and the 2 families NEVER got over it. So the idea that the zenin would kill a TS user is completely out of the question. Even IF killing Megumi served Naoya, it didnt serve anyone else and goes against the zenins principles.

2)The TS literally puts the zenin on par (or higher) to satoru gojo in terms of strength. With gojo sealed The zenin clan would jet-propel to no1 in jujutsu society, which is what the family WANTS, power and prestige.

3) Megumi canonically had a lot of supporters, so this goes back to my first point that the blowback of killing him wouldve caused mass, internal strife.

4) Maki's massacre. (Ugh...)

So my headcannon is this:

Naoya gets told he isn't gonna be heir and calls the elders to the round table. Since a large portion of the family want megumi as head, naoya issues a challenge/duel on the condition that if naoya wins, megumi becomes an official zenin member but forfeits all rights to ever become clan head (doesnt matter if its on paper or binding vow, point is megumi won't be head). This would enable naoya to stay at the helm, while also boosting the zenins prestige because they'd have the TS under their control. Having a duel would also showcase naoya's talents so he doesnt come off a glass cannon like he did when maki flattens him later to show HER overwhelming strength. This plan makes infinitely more sense to me than what the manga did because it benefits EVERYBODY. Maki wants this. Naoya wants this. And so does the entire clan, because megumi will be a zenin regardless of who wins. It also put megumi in an active role, instead of passive one.

With this simple change, we can explore the characters introduced in the hei unit, tojis backstory/life, mai and makis sisterly bond, megumis leadership acumen, And ofc this would be the perfect time for naoya to reveal the truth about toji: That Satoru gojo is the one who killed him and thats why megumj and tsumiki were alone (in an attempt to turn megumi against satoru).

This change also benefits Maki's character too because after megumi loses, she tells him not to worry because he has enough supporters to drive a split in the clan, so while he can't be head of the zenin he can be head of his OWN faction. (remember this was makis ultimate goal, to have a safe space for mai, thats why she wanted megumi as head in the first place) now I'm skipping details, but ogi catches wind of maki's coup to start a civil war within the clan and throws her in the pits for it (a MUCH better reason to kill her than taking curse tools. I mean maki has been taking curse tools for years and nobody cared!) She becomes toji 2.0 and the story continues along the lines of the canon. Maki still gets her power boost and her revenge on NAOYA's supporters instead of the entire clan so she doesnt come off as a psychopath, and megumi learns the truth. There is even room for potential redemption for naoya should megumi prevent Maki from killing him which eliminates the need for curse naoya (a colossal waste of time)

the black cat is the villain? could you please elaborate? I'm asking out of genuine curiosity, I haven't heard this before.

okso. i mean all of this is layed out very clear in the novel/manga, but if youre less familiar with it then i get why it might sound a little odd. key things to remember though is that the black cat made a deal with ellen when she was only seven years old. not only that, ellen was literally on the verge of death at that point and was not told anything about becoming a witch or such at the point when she made the deal - literally all she was told was that she would be given like, shelter. to not die. 'magic' is mentioned offhandedly to just say "uhhhhhhhhhhh magic magic gives you House" without explaining anything about it

mind you, this does happen after ellen kills her parents - but, i mean, not to excuse killing your parents (dont do that), but ellen is a very traumatized and neglected child and she does express genuine remorse and guilt after killing them. and maybe im just an ellen apologist but i find it really hard to think that makes her flatout evil/irredeemable at this point.

the "XXXX" thing in the game/manga where the word 'kill' is blacked out with X's might obviously just be a stylistic thing. but based on the first way its used in the manga, i choose to interpret it as a sign of ellens own denial. shes a guilty child who doesnt really want to accept guilt. she becomes much more comfortable using the word 'kill' later and accepting the grim reality of what she does, but at the start, ellen doesnt want to consider herself a killer.

anyway. back to the black cat. the whole first part of the manga/novel shows ellens genuine childlike innocence and wonder. within the first chapters shes really just a sweet girl excited to learn things and play.

and a major thing that makes the black cat an ASSHOLE is that he purposefully leaves out many details of the situation until ellen is in a position of desparation and despair. the black cat doesnt directly break ellens spirit at any point himself, but he sure as hell leads her to despair and then manipulates and emotionally abuses her. and his manipulation works. if the black cat said to ellen "hey kill ur friend for the house to eat cuz youre unlovable scum" when ellen was having fun with her new friend, ellen would probably be alot more reluctant. her new friend loves her, after all. its the love shes been seeking.

at no point does ellen say this friendship is the love shes been seeking, but...its quite obvious, isnt it? the genuine friendship she had with this little boy wasnt an act or anything. ellen genuinely felt loved and her friendship with this boy alleviated her loneliness.

but the black cat didnt explain to ellen, a SEVEN YEAR OLD CHILD who only JUST LEARNED HOW TO READ, the reason why she cant leave the house. and he didnt explain this to her because he wanted to set her up to fall into the trap where she would confront despair and be much more willing to kill out of desparation. you can say "oh ellen was told she cant leave the house, she did it of her own choice so even if she didnt know what would happen its her fault" but shes a dumb kid who made a mistake. a mistake that she was set up to make, reopened her emotional wounds and was used to manipulate her

the black cat doesnt ever like, literally lie to her. but its deception and lies by omission and it is very, very intentional. its with the goal of breaking this damaged child down more and more to push her to the brink again by intentionally triggering her insecurities and fears and exploiting the fact she killed once before as a way to desensitize her to it

its only after all this "evil cat emotionally torments a child and tells her shes unlovable scum who nobody will ever care about because her body makes her worthless and subhuman" thing, that the black cat actually offers her this:

note that its phrased as a cure and not 'a body switching spell'. she doesnt actually learn that its a body switching spell until just before meeting viola. the first person ellen kills for the house is the little boy she befriended. the manga doesnt do a good job at conveying ellens feelings here so these are is excerpts from the novel. it genuinely hurts her. it hurts her to kill her first friend. but the fear of never being loved, living forever in a body doomed to rot away without any care or compassion, hurts her more. and at this point, after everything shes gone through and the emotional manipulation of the black cat, shes convinced that she is just fundamentally unlovable and this will never, ever change. she even percieves the boys apology at first as being 'fake'- that is, she knows he would feel no sympathy or friendship for her knowing how sick she really is.

..all this is to say. while ellen and viola were born in different eras, as ellen lived for hundreds of years as a witch, i genuinely think that if somehow they could have met earlier, ellen would have been able to see that violas friendship was the love she was after. that viola wasnt trying to decieve or use her, and that she didnt need to hurt viola to be loved. if they had somehow met before all this, ellen wouldve accepted viola as like her big sister. someone who didnt run from her and accepted her despite her illness. but after all the emotional manipulation and abuse shes put through by the black cat for his own goals, ellen sees pretty much nobody as being on her side and she becomes devoted only to the goal of having a healthy body. she cannot concieve of violas love for her being real, because she believes it is simply impossible for anyone to love her as she is.

and the black cats monologue at the end of the kindle edition also shows the black cats bizzare behaviour towards ellen and how he knew he was manipulating her and making her dependent on him. (side note, WHY is the black cat also supposedly a young boy???? where the hell are the adults in this setting??????)

id say that the witchs house is fundamentally a story about the cycles of abuse. ellen certainly isnt a good person, but the character who causes most of the events and tragedies to occurr is really the black cat, with ellen moreso acting as a sort of puppet. ellen best girl ellen best witch ellen did nothing wrong (<- THATS A LIE)

Why this change was more harmful to Sarada’s big moment than you think

If it wasnt obvious yes this will be another anti BoruSara post although that isnt the main focus, obviously if your a shipper then you obviously have no issue with the scene I’ll be critiquing, so for your own peace of mind scroll on.

Anyway Im gonna be talking about the Chidori scene which yes, Im still very pissed about which wouldnt still be the case if it werent still being talked about today which unfortunately it is, and any critique of it is seen as just ‘haters’ jealous of their BoruSara moment.

Key point, jealous, of their BoruSara moment.

If you didnt catch it, this was supposed to be and originally was SARADA’S moment, Boruto, let alone anyone else, was not a factor, they played background roles while Sarada was the MVP of that moment, it was NEVER a BoruSara moment, it was always SARADA’S moment.

And there lies the problem with the anime changes, it robbed Sarada of what was originally hers and made her NEED Boruto to succeed when originally all she needed was them to stall while she found the core and when she did she went ham all on her own, no help needed.

I left out a key detail there intentionally since I’ll bring it up later but first I gotta address the moment Im specifically talking about and WHY it hurt Sarada’s big moment and her character.

First off Sarada is panicking, unsure of herself, she cant focus and cant find the core fast enough, she even berates herself for always needing Boruto and Mitsuki to protect her, keep this in mind.

Once Sarada DOES find the core, like the manga she concludes that shes gotta be the one who destroys it herself and prepares herself to do so, however...rather than taking off and destroying the core, theres a long pause for Boruto to look back at her, Sarada to look at him, Boruto smiles at her, and then Sarada looks on with determination, and THEN she moves forward to destroy the core.

So whats wrong with this? why is this bad? simple, just look at the original scene in the manga.

Sarada isnt panicking, she doesnt doubt herself, and she doesnt berate herself for needing ‘saving’ all the time or being ‘useless’. She is confident, focused, and jumped into action all on her own.

Remember how I said I left out a key detail on purpose? well now is where I bring it up. The key detail of this scene I left out is Kawaki telling Sarada to focus, why? to make a point about the difference between Kawaki’s involvement in this scene and Boruto’s despite both serving the same purpose.

Whether I do or dont mention Kawaki telling Sarada to focus it doesnt change the scene at all, she got distracted, Kawaki told her to stay focused and she did, it doesnt take or give anything away to her moment, so whether I do or dont bring it up her moment is still the same, it was irrelevant.

Compare that to Boruto’s involvement, Sarada was berating herself for being useless and always needing Boruto [and Mitsuki] to save her, shes panicking and unsure of herself, and even after spotting the core and knowing what she needs to do, she still needed an extra morale boost from Boruto giving her reassurance with a smile giving her the final push she needed to act.

If you cant see why thats bad I’ll go ahead and spell it out for you, in the manga Sarada simply needed to be told how to defeat Boro and fill in the rest on her own while they take the heat to buy her time which shs succeeds in doing all on her own, however in the anime Sarada needed silent reassurance from Boruto AND his assistance to give her an opening just to hit Boro when she specifically said in the manga that her Chidori was the best jutsu for the task BECAUSE it was faster than he could weave signs, Boruto helping her to hit him undercuts her speed feat while giving Boruto one in her place since he literally backflipped over her Chidori just before she ran by.

Do you see why this is an issue yet? why this hurt her character and her moment?

Without the manga for comparison the anime paints a very clear picture, that Sarada isnt confident in herself or her abilities, she isnt a level headed captain and crumbles under pressure, even if she has it all figured out she still needs Boruto to give her reassurance and confidence, she also needed Boruto in order to create distractions and an opening for her to hit Boro undetected, and a new speed feat is achieved by Boruto back flipping over a high speed chidori.

So whats special about this scene for Sarada in the anime version? nothing really, it was cool that this was her first chidori moment and she asked her dad to give her strength but thats about it, the praise falls more on Boruto than it does her in this situation since she was freakin out the whole time prior and needed his help to back her up.

Which is exactly the problem, its no longer her moment, its Sarada and Boruto’s when it didnt need to be, they have plenty of moments where their teamwork and chemistry shines, but this was HER moment to shine on her own, she didnt NEED Boruto to succeed because she is strong and capable of holdin her own without him.

This was literally not just her big chidori moment, but also her moment as captain, her first time taking on the leadership role where her comrades lives rests in her hands and she has to be the one to make the calls for victory, so this moment was critical in showcasing her leadership skills and the anime completely ruined it by having her distracted, wavering, doubting herself, panicking, and needing someone else to help her succeed.

That Is TERRIBLE for her character

To put it inter perspective lets look at how Mitsuki and Kawaki’s involvement impacts her moment, Mitsuki is the one who suggests her as captain because he believes shes the most suited for the role and has good judgement, Kawaki agrees with Mitsuki and believes shes their best chance of winning, Kawaki informs Sarada about the whole core situation and leaves the finding and destroying of it to her, when Mitsuki is hurt Sarada gets distracted for a moment but Kawaki reminds her to focus and she does.

Now if we include the anime additions there was also a added scene of Kawaki looking back at Sarada which you could argue has the same effect as Boruto, but the difference is Boruto was actually a completely added scene that didnt exist in the manga, however the moment between Kawaki and Sarada actually DID occur in the manga just the sequencing was different in the anime.

For starters Boruto and Mitsuki went ahead and started attacking Boro on their own, Sarada also jumped in and so did Kawaki, this however was changed in the anime but more on that later.

After all 4 of their attacks fail, Kawaki asks Boruto and Mitsuki to buy him time to explain his plan to Sarada, afterwards he jumps in and attacks Boro alongside Mitsuki and Boruto leaving the rest to her, this was also altered in the anime.

Like I said the anime changed the sequence of these events but its important to know how these changes affected the moment if at all which the short answer is it didnt.

Instead of all 4 of them attacking Boro together at first and then Kawaki explaining, Kawaki actually stops Sarada before she can go join Boruto and Mitsuki, he holds her hand while explaining the situation about the core, however Sarada gets distracted and loses focus and acts recklessly when she sees Mitsuki get hurt [refer back to that panel of Kawaki telling Sarada to focus] and pulls away from Kawaki to try and go help him [again refer back to that panel where despite her concern she remained level headed and focused on her objective] while foolishly running head first, Kawaki jumps over Sarada and Mitsuki assists him to blow Boro in half.

Its here that Kawaki looks back at Sarada and says hes counting on her.

So how is this different than the Boruto scene? simple, like I said this scene actually does exist in the manga the sequencing was just different.

Basically the scene where Kawaki tells Sarada to focus and ignore Mitsuki is changed to this

And the scene where he looks back at Sarada is actually just these panels but extended a few extra seconds.

The reason for this is because they switched where Kawaki tells her the plan, so instead of Kawaki simply telling her to look close and find it and then running off, they had Sarada lose focus and rush in to save Mitsuki which caused Kawaki to get involved and stop her, the moment he looks at her is the silent version of the panel where Kawaki tells her to focus.

In short, his look towards Sarada was SPs version of the ‘Forget him Sarada! focus!’ panel. But by changing the sequence of events its understandable why ppl have different interpretations on what his look meant vs Boruto’s, context is key after all and if your anime only you will have a very VASTLY different understanding of this fight than those who read the manga.

Anyway my point is that although altered, this moment DID infact exist in the manga, it wasnt just some additional scene added but literally what happened in the manga just in a different way. Boruto looking back and smiling at Sarada giving her a morale boost was nowhere in the manga, Kawaki reminding Sarada to focus on the plan however is even if SP altered it, it still EXISTED in the source material.

So how did these changes affect her moment? they didnt, nobody really talks about Kawaki  saying hes counting on her, holding her hand etc because in the grand scheme of things none of that mattered, its not worth mentioning outside of shipping obviously but in terms of Sarada and her big moment? these alterations had zero effect on it, nobody talks about Kawaki’s involvement because it was irrelevant, the same cannot be said for Boruto.

Shipping or non shipping related Boruto is brought up because he was, as terrible as it is, he was a intergral part of her moment and success. He’s the one who reassured everyone to have faith in their captain, his smile gave Sarada the push she needed, his assistance was what allowed her to hit Boro undetected, and without him she wasnt confident in herself prior to him smiling at her.

So no, these two moments are vastly different, and whats most sad about it is that they included extra bits for Kawaki that didnt take away from Sarada or her moment at all, so it isnt like it couldnt be done, but for Boruto they made sure that his inclusion completely undercut Sarada entirely.

Despite popular belief this has nothing to do with shipping, but Sarada’s character being held back by Boruto stealing her spotlight when he didnt have to, the sequel is literally called BORUTO, theres literally over 200 episodes of this boy shining both solo and teamwork, he did not NEED to be included in her big moment and because he was we got tweets like this that should’ve been about Sarada.

Like I said shippers are a separate subject of course, but this included non shippers as well, it was not just a BoruSara vs antis situation, Sarada fans who dont even ship her with anyone were pissed at her scene being undercut like it was, the only ppl who were happy with this scene were BoruSara and Boruto stans, which should tell you all you need to know since this entire scene catered to those very ppl. Nuff said.

I dont really feel the need to hide any names because this isnt a personal attack on anybody other than the studio itself, these tweets are just examples to make a point of how these changes harmed Sarada’s character and moment by making it all about Boruto more so than Sarada and the attention shifted from her to him instead. If you compared the conversations after the chapter dropped vs the episode you’d be amazed at how different it is, hell there wasnt any shipping talk from any side, the attention and praise was all on Sarada and SHE was the main thing ppl talked about, sure the boys got praise too for relying on her and backin her up, but the main focus was on HER as it should’ve been.

So yea, its 2023 and this is still an issue, know why? because her leadership being undercut didnt stop here but its a recurring thing with her character ever since [see the Funato arc if you need any convincing] even the manga had walked back on her leadership but the difference is atleast she did have good leadership in the manga at one point [Ironic how her leadership was undermined the same way it was in the anime, shoehorning Boruto in on what should be her moment] meanwhile the anime has yet to show Sarada having good leadership, and assuming they’ll animate 58 [which I doubt] then the disrespect wont even be surprising since she never had a firm grip on her teammates to begin with.

Holding hands is sort of a need for him-

He's huge with PDA and holding your small hand within his reassures him quite a bit. He never needs to ask to hold your hand, he just grips it whenever and wherever.

Your fingers tightened around his, his warm skin seemed to be heating up your own body as well. Thank God, you were beginning to get cold anyways.

"Have I ever told you about how cute your hands are!" It was more of a statement than a question, pulling his hand and your hand closer to him so he could get a better glimpse at your soft hands." So tiny... So soft. It's like I'm being touched by an angel!"

I feel like he thinks he doesnt need to show how much he loves you through actions, more so through blunt words.

But he will get the sudden urge to hold your hand every once in a while, so be prepared because he could get the jump on you at any point.

Doesnt like PDA that much, it makes him slightly uncomfortable because it's in public but I feel like he would get used to it later in your relationship.

Shaking his head briefly, the ravenette continued to walk with his head staring straight ahead," I feel optimal. Why do you ask?" He was so obviously trying to change the subject.

You frowned a little at the stiff response and opened your mouth to respond but your boyfriend had beaten you to it.

"Let me h-... Hold your... Hand... Please." He uttered, looking down with red cheeks, an embarrassed scowl squirmed on his lips.

You were silent for a long while, making him wait nervously for your answer. What he wasn't expecting was the cute snort of laughter coming from you and grabbing his hand tightly within your own, your other hand wrapping around his forearm like it was a substitute teddy bear.

His cheeks heated up tenfold and he had to look away before you noticed.

"You're such a cutie. You don't need to ask to hold my hand you know?" You teased lightly, nudging him playfully by bumping your hip against his.

Kocho stared at your grin with an unimpressed look, before her eyes softened and a gentle smile spread onto her perfect lips." Wipe that cheeky grin off of your face and I might consider it."

A bright smile instantly spread onto your lips and you held out your hand expectantly for her to take it. Her radiant smile only widened and her hand settled into yours, her warm fingers closing over your own as if she was keeping them safe in her hold.

He has such a tough-guy exterior when on the inside he's actually really caring to those who are important to him.

Definitely one of those characters who seem like pricks but they like something cute like cats or something-

When he had finally gained his composure, he held out a slightly trembling hand, his cheeks tinted red as he let out a gruff," yeah... Of course you can, idiot. You don't have to ask..."

Adoration bloomed in your chest at his words and you grabbed his outstretched hand, instantly interlocking your fingers with his. Absentmindedly, you ran your thumb up and down his hand comfortingly as you smiled like an idiot to yourself.

Sanemi's heart thumped in his chest at the look of love on your face, feeling his whole body heating up. The wind pillar was known for being ruthless, intimidating and quite frankly... A bit of an asshole.

But around you? He's a completely different person.

Between you and his little brother, he's always going to have a huge soft spot for you both.

It might just be me but I feel like oda is now focusing a little bit on romance since dressrosa, and is nearly like putting endgame ships together but not fully trying to give it away, like with sanji for example I think it’s clear now that his two realistic end partners are either pudding or viola since he’s kissed both of them and generally if we being honest been less of a pervert (well sexually) around them especially pudding, but I think it’s clear pudding would end with him just because they technically got married (an official marriage is complete when the vows are done) their wedding got interrupted when they were about to kiss which they did later on and I think that pudding did that so at least to her they are married.

With ussop I think it’s clearly kaya but you know the more I think about it he might just might have an outside chance with nami but if I’m being honest they give me more of a friends and sibling vibe.and with kaya both her and ussop has shown feelings for each other but you never know this is Oda we are talking about.

For robin I think it’s going to be franky, now hear me out if I’m being honest I didn’t think robin would get an ending partner until very recently, I always heard of zoro and robin but I never really felt that ship like I wasn’t against it but I wasn’t for it. Then the colourspread where she was holding frankys face came like a punch to me 😂 all of a sudden I was like omds how didn’t I see that coming because I started to remember how their interactions where during water 7, Ennis lobby and thriller bark was like we all know how she made him join the crew ouch, when she got her wings she made him blush and only him in thriller bark, they both have sleep on each other or with each other (not sexually) loads of times actually some with brook, however so yeah and in wano you could now see their interactions too, franky offering to give only robin a ride on his motorbike, kinda cliche but hey it it works it does

Next is chopper I think he has two realistic options because most of the others would be beastiality which I highly doubt oda would include in the biggest manga of all time, so anyways I think he’s two options are carrot and the reindeer mink but I think if he was to have a pairing it would hands down be the reindeer mink because number one chopper actually has a crush on her and number two they are both in the same profession with her being a nurse and so on it’s almost as if oda made the mink just for chopper. And for chopper and carrot I get the same vibe as with nami and ussop friends/siblings vibes and the fact carrot calls chopper “chobro” shows she feels it’s like that too but I would rule it out.

Now for zoro there isn’t much to say here I already said my opinion on zoro and robin which is I don’t feel they have had enough moments especially recently too be considered endgame, don’t get me wrong it’s a big ship with loads of fans so I could see it happening I just doubt it same with zoro and tashigi with them I just don’t think they could happen ,because they are on two different sides pirate and marine, like their pairing is heavily reliant on the marines and world gov having a major reshaping. And I’m not gonna lie I thought and still have it in my mind just not as strong that zoro is asexual like I’ve never seen him show interest in other females or anything a prime example of that was the happiness punch in alabasta everyone went to see it even chopper did but zoro was the only one who didn’t and people would say what about luffy isn’t he asexual which I’ll touch on later but no luffy isn’t asexual and there’s evidence for that but none for zoro. That being said can still see zoro ending with someone that being hiyori because let me get this out there I think there’s a 0.1% chance of zoro asking a girl out and I just feel it more likely a girl would like aggressively love him (like be getting them into awkward situations time and time again to express her feeling) and the only girl who I think would do that is hiyori, tagashi is too tsundere to do it and robin is too composed and calm to do it too. I’m just thinking about the personalities with this one because I don’t really think zoro has had a lot of moments with girls apart from tashigi and you know about my problem with that ship so yeah hiyori for me.

Now the last one this one I can go on for literal days on this ship but this post is already long so I’ll try and summarise as best I can and if you want me to go in detail just tell me. So now for luffy. Now with luffy as most of you know I can only see him ending with nami like yeah girls like mageret have an outside chance but I can only really and truely see luffy and nami, let me just talk about personalities not even moments yet, they are the perfect example of opposites attract, ying-yang, definition of completing one another with luffy and nami they are my otp because of this reason mainly because unlike other anime’s and manga you can clearly see this and you could see it develop each arc and saga like for luffy every attribute he lacks like intelligence, craftiness, intimidation, etc nami compensates with him and teaches him about them and for nami her lack of bravery, see people’s true intentions luffy compensates for her teaching her and showing her it let just list a few of this moment : nami showing luffy how normal pirates behave after ussops arc, luffy showing nami his bravery in arlong arc, strong world etc And where we see them develop for nami we saw nami show her bravery for luffy in whole cake island when she fough cracker knowing she had no chance of winning or when she fought big moms army too. For luffy we see him becoming smarter and see his enemies true intentions in arcs like zou where he suspected sanji was taken against his will. Then we got how their goals and personality’s intertwines with each other because luffy wants to become pirate king and nami what’s to map the whole world, one of the things luffy loves the most is adventure and what adventure is bigger than exploring the whole world? Maybe love😂😂 (cringe I know but had too). Now people might say hancock but let me just say this I think the chances of hancock ending with luffy is so low that I believe yamato has a better chance than her and we’ve only seen Yamato for like 6 chapters so let me explain the main reason why I think she doesn’t have a chance is simply because luffy rejected her now to people that might not be a lot but it really is simply based on the fact that in nearly 1000 chapters and 15 movies luffy has never ever changed his mind. When he says something it happens or in this case does’nt for example when he said he’ll get a musician he did, when he said he’ll beat people’s asses he did even when he said he’ll save ace he did do it unfortunately ace went back, so when luffy has numerously told hancock he won’t marry her he really won’t. Now people can say that just means he won’t marry her but that doesnt mean they can’t be together but my response to that is simple what pairing in one piece aren’t married or engaged? So far in one piece every couple have been married or at least engaged. So that’s why I think hancock is out of the runnig or at least has a much less chance than nami does for ending with luffy. I didn’t even go into detail for luffy and nami but I’ll probably do that later. But please remember this is just MY opinion about the pairings in one piece you are free to disagree with it you can even comment to me why you disagree but I don’t want people to start acting toxic please. The reason i didn’t include brook or jimbei is because I don’t see them ending with anyone

Now for part two I will be doing Ichihime.

Honestly I knew Ichihime would be endgame from early on in the manga and series.

A lot of IR claim that Ichihime doesnt make sense or that they have no development..which at this point I think this is what any anti for any pairing in every anime say.. because that's obviously not true at all.

Even from the very beginning.. not only do we know that Orihime likes Ichigo, but Ichigo seems to pay attention to Orihime, extra close at times.

In this panel, he admits that he worries about her and watching her wears him out with worry, he even wonders if she's really alright. Now its important to remember that this is fairly earlier in the story and at this time Orihime is only an acquaintance at best..but here he is worrying about her.

Not only does he notice her getting hurt...but during the Fullbringer arc he said that she was more likely to get followed or stalked than him when Orihime asked if anyone has been following him.

Hell he's even offered to walk her home.

Weird considering they're only acquaintances at this point right? While I know it's rare for the shounen protagonist to have a crush right off the bat..for arguments sake let's say you look at ichihime interactions with the idea that Ichigo has some sort of crush on Orihime. I feel like his interactions with her make more sense throughout the series and keep this I mind through this post.

Now antis always love to say that Orihime didn't understand Ichigo or couldn't encourage him like Rukia could..but..

Here! Even Tatsuki who has known him since childhood couldn't tell it wasnt Ichigo or his other friends.. but Orihime does notice..she knows that's not him right away.

And here Orihime right away knew he wasn't acting like himself...even Tatsuki was impressed, she said it took her years to figure that out.

Oh yeah she cant encourage him right?? Not only did she give Ichigo the resolve to go save Rukia..but during the Grimmjow fight.. Ichigo was so afraid of frightening Orihime with his mask that he wasn't focusing on the battle.. know think about that..he was so scared to frighten Orihime he wasn't fighting..knowing he could die or get really hurt.

I also hear antis say that Orihime is horrible for being scared of Ichigo when he was still fighting to save her but they need to understand that in the first few chapters of bleach..Orihime was attacked by her brother..her beloved brother, the only family she ever had before he died and he attacked her..as a hollow..and now she's looking at the man she loves with a hollow mask and she's afraid FOR him not necessarily OF him..she's afraid he'll turn completely hollow( which is fair, considering he does later during the ulquiorra fight).

Then all she had to say " please dont die..you dont have to fight for me and you dont have to win..just please dont get hurt". And Ichigo was ready to fight for real..then beat Grimmjow.

She was also able to feel his pain somehow and knew he was crying when he got his powers stolen despite her being far away from him at the time.

Not to mention at this time she was brainwashed by Tsukishima making her and Chad think Ichigo was the one going crazy, but even though she was brainwashed to think it was Tsukishima who she loved..her heart knew better and still felt Ichigo's pain even without seeing him.

Not to mention she was able to see he had a plan to defeat Ywach just from one look into his eyes.

So yeah.. Orihime does understand Ichigo more than most..and just because Rukia does too doesnt mean he should be with her.

And on Ichigo's side antis also say he doesn't care about Orihime only Rukia..and if he does care it's only because Ichigo is protective of his friends.

Now it's clear through the whole series that Ichigo does care about all his friends..but it's also apparent that Ichigo does hold Orihime to a different standard.

This is not far into the story..at this point they are still only classmates and only a few pages ago Ichigo refused to take over Rukia's Soul reaper duties..until he found out a hollow was after Orihime.

Or when Yammy and Ulquiorra hurt Orihime..they also hurt Tatsuki and Chad but he was shown to be obsessing over Orihime ( despite the fact she could literally reverse her injuries) and the fact Tatsuki was a human with no powers should've made him worry over her more..but he felt so guilty for not protecting Orihime he couldn't even look her in the eyes..it got so bad that Rukia made him go to her and look her in the eye and he vowed to never let anyone hurt her again, pluse he didn't apologize to anyone else..just Orihime. I also find it funny how Rukia seems to be a ichihime shipper while her fans hate Orihime and want her to be with Ichigo..I find it funny.

Then we all know how hurt he was when Orihime got taken to Hueco Mundo.. Yes I understand he did rescue Rukia as well but he even said its because he owed her..and he did he owe her his and his families lives..and she was his friend and only on death row because of him. But with Orihime she chose to go to protect her friends and Ichigo had no obligations to her other than she was his friend..

He also walked around like a zombie not even caring when Tatsuki beat the hell out of him asking where Orihime was. He even yelled and threw a fit at the captain commander(you know the strongest soul reaper alive) for suggesting she was a traitor..

He even went against the entire soul society wishes (as a substitute soul reaper no less) to go find Orihime in Hueco Mundo.

One of my favorite scenes is when Ichigo was hurrying to go help Chad and Rukia who were badly injured at the time..when Ulquiorra appears and tries to goad him into a fight.. nothing works until Ulquiorra mentions he was the one who brought Orihime to Hueco Mundo ..which in turn infuriates Ichigo and he swings his sword at him in a blind rage..(remember he was supposed to be helping Chad and Rukia who were injured) but he was so angry that he was the one who brought Orihime there...he didn't say he hurt her or tortured her...he only said he brought her. And. Ichigo. Flipped.

One of my other favorite scenes is when he almost literally rises from near death to get Grimmjow's hands off of Orihime

LET GO OF HER! Was the first thing he says never mind he was almost dead a few minutes ago and still can barely stand. And look at that face his eyes mean business.

And of course one of the most epic Ichihime moments is when Ulquiorra defeats Ichigo and kills him.. he hears Orihime calling for help as Ulquiorra advances to her.. and as he's dying he hears her and tells himself he needs to help her and protect her..even in death he needs to protect her. And yes I'm aware that his inner hollow is the one keeping him from dying..but the only reason Hichigo doesnt completely take over Ichigo and lose his humanity was his will to protect Orihime. Ichigo was chanting " help her", "help her", over and over like a mantra..that's was the last shred of his humanity and even his last shred of humanity wanted nothing more than to protect Orihime.

Not only is Ichigo extra protective of Orihime..but he get flustered around her too.

Like during The Thousand Year Blood War Arc.. when Ichigo was asked by Chad if he liked Orihime's outfit ( Which was very revealing..especially in the boob area) and Ichigo was blushing like an idiot of course.

While most antis swear it's just because Orihime is very beautiful and has a very large chest..remember Chad or Uryu didn't react despite them being males as well..just Ichigo.

Not only that but all of Ichigos enemies always use Orihime to bait him into fights. Enemies like Grimmjow, Nnotora, Ulquiorra, and even Ginjo..they all taunted him about how he was so determined to protect Orihime that they would use her presence to push Ichigo into fighting them.

Antis also claim that they didn't develop.. they went from classmate acquaintances to friends fighting side by side in battle. Orihime went from being shy and stuttering and being nervous in his room to borrowing manga from him and just marching in his room and both teasing each other. Ichigo also went from wanting to protect Orihime by leaving her on the side lines and out of harm's way.. to trusting her to be his shield in battle.

IR"s also claim that Rukia is better than Orihime because she's stronger. Now I know Rukia is strong no doubt..especially when she finally releases her bankai. But for most of the series she hardly does anything..even my husband noticed she only won like two or three fight the whole series and most of the time she was so beat up after she looks like she lost the fight. I'm not trying to talk down on Rukia I love her actually.. it's just is you go back and read the manga..Rukia didn't do much either.. plus Orihime actually has a really really OP power she just doesn't have the heart to hurt anyone so she usually uses her shield or healing, but just like Rukia they didn't do much with her powers.

In the end Ichihime had quite a bit of development..I'm not saying Rukia and Ichigo didnt have a bond..because they had a strong one..but that doesn't always mean romantic..I always felt it was more brother/ sister type than anything. But if you go back and look at all of the Ichihime moments you'll realize their bond as well..you'll realize that Orihime was always their during the really important times and fights.. like the Grimmjow fight, Ulquiorra, fight, the Nnotora fight, his Fullbringer training, his Visored training, and she stood side by side with him in the Ywach fight.

He was actually separated from Rukia more than he was with her..even when they were in the same places..they were always separated. Kubo..I feel made it very clear from early on that ichihime would be endgame..I feel some people were just in denial.

uh ok i left off kinda in the middle of the wano arc, so im scanning thru some stuff to see what i remember.....i dont really remember what the deal is with that ginger (?) pompadour guy lmao. theres a lot of new characters and intricate politics in this arc from what i remember. 

i havent really gotten spoiled for anything....i know that something bad happens to kid & killer, somethins up w/sabo (but we dont know what), luffy fights kaido (more than once i think?) uhhhhh we get roger flashbacks and hear the yonkous bounties....thats abt all i really know. so im hype to find out what else has gone on....

-Hyuuga acting like he doesn't want to be the one Riko takes to the friendly streetball match and Koganei being like "ooh ooh me pick me" and Izuki being like "no no shhhh ouR CAPTAIN SHOULD GO YEP YEP"

-the GoM teams watching this match and seeing their old teammates on team Strky

-Mukkun laughing with his team about Okamura's existence

-I know what Strky is but why the fuck call it "Strky" like call it "Tryks" or "Stryk" even and use the y as a vowel but fucking Strky sounds like Thanksgiving dinner

-Kasamatsu's existence

-Kagetora going off on the whole asshole team in fairly fluent English (and vowing to disembowel himself if his dream team can't defeat them like shit son papa took a level in metal)

-the reactions of the GoM as the American asshole team basically says the same things they'd say before about people who are no good just needing to give up because holy fuck did that shake them

-Kuroko and Kagami hearing it too and getting angry like "fuck here we go agAIN"

-obviously seeing the GoM all on the same team again is magical

-plus they added my children Hyuuga and Takao and Wakamatsu to the team as bench 

-Akashi welcoming Hyuuga and reassuring him that he's good enough when he's obviously nervous about being there

-putting Riko and Satsuki in charge together made me really happy because those two should be friends even if they're rivals I mean look at the shit they deal with daily from these boys also Satsuki sure can't complain to Aomine about how much a pain in the ass Aomine is she needs girl talk so bad

-Hyuuga I swear to fuck you may not be playing much this game but you sure fucking better confess to Riko when you boys win do you understand me

-naturally everyone's mad but Akashi fucking seething when they find Kuroko's been hurt

-Kagami and Aomine at the front of their group right away being totally ready to throw down if the other guys so much as move while Mukkun looms threateningly a little bit back because even though they hurt Kurochin he's not gonna pick a fight himself but if somebody else does first this boy's got his team's back

-Kuroko wanting to settle this solely through basketball so Akashi knowing this well tells the two more impulsive idiots to take it easy

-Kise picking Kuroko up and being the one to carry the baby back

-Midorima no you're the least intimidating right now except maybe for Kise don't even try child your shirt has stripes

-on one hand it's kinda cheap storytelling but on the other the fact that their teamwork clicked again so quickly was kind of moving because it's like thank god they remember being a team

-all the teams watching and hoping Vorpal Swords kicks some ass

-The first quarter where Vorpal Swords kicks some ass

-Kuroko was paying extra attention to Murasakibara after first quarter and it made me really worried Big Purple was injured already

-Aomine and especially Mukkun not liking being shit-talked whether or not they understood the English

-MUKKUN IS MAKING KUROKO WORRIED AGAIN IN TIME-OUT though purple is literally just like "fuck those guys Imma set them straight I can handle this" but then Mamakashi is like "no you listen here you beautiful fuck the coach is right calm the fuck down you too Aomine" because to be fair if anyone ever needs to calm the fuck down it's usually Aomine

-"LITTLE EMO-BOY" KUROKO

-everybody's so goddamn angry about working with Kagami

-After second quarter they're really working with Big Purple and giving him ice and so much of this extra game seems so focused on him which suits me just fine tbh we didn't really see his character development in the original series

-stoP HURTING MUKKUN HE DOESNT DESERVE NOSEBLEEDS

-Kise tag-teaming with Aomine and matching him move for move with his Copy when angry blue was in the Zone

-Kise swearing to go through with this at the cost of himself because he wants his precious senpai Kasamatsu to know he didn't waste all that time loving basketball

-Kise then actually entering the Zone himself and fucking destroying for all of a few minutes

-Sorry Midorima maybe you can Zone later in the game angry carrot

-Momoi being so fucking happy Aomine and even Kise have gotten to this point and Kuroko giving her this kind look and then cheering for them both with his pure smile

-MukkUN KEEPS GRUNTING BBY R U OK

-Akashi getting ready to enter the game starts having a conversation with his other personality to have him use Emperor Eye and not only are they treating each other respectfully, but Bokushi is concerned about throwing off the tempo of the team by coming in and Oreshi suggests to him, "But haven't you changed, too?" Like that's not how this kind of thing works irl but Akashi had character development x2 and that's beautiful to me

-also the fact that he warned the team ahead of time so that they wouldn't be flustered and they're like "yeah okay cool is that all you needed" starting with Big Purple and Big Blue because they don't see Bokushi as some terrifying enemy to face down anymore and trust Akashi to handle things properly and respectfully

-Takao being faintly jealous that someone other than him (Akashi) got to combo with Midorima

-Midorima's turn to slay and encouraging Kagami and the carrot son is good

-Kise sweetie you were great out there but pleaSE GO GET SOME REST YOU COULDN'T MOVE FOR A MINUTE THERE

-everybody believes in Akashi and even when Nash is minimizing his ability Bokushi is just calm as fuck

-Purple picking Akashi up and asking to handle everything else so that Akashi can focus on Nash because Purple recognizes Akashi now more than ever and thinks Akachin is definitely the one who can do it

-I feel like we never really got to see much of Big Purple's interactions with his senpais so the little flashback was adorable. Big Purple being mothered gives everyone life

-but Purple getting serious A++ 10/10 would recommend

-but Purple smiling because he doesn't have to hold back C- 5/10 would vaguely recommend

-but Purple getting hurt again F-- 0/10 would not recommend

-BABY PURPLE IS SO BIG HE BROKE HIS ARM BY FALLING ON IT AND WAS LIKE "ehh but akachin needs me imma still play"

-ANGRY BABY KUROKO

-Mukkun concedes pretty easily and leaves his spot to Kuroko--then sits on the bench with his broken arm in a sling and my guess is that's because there was no way in hell he was going to miss watching the end of the game (much like Kise noT FUCKING RESTING AFTER NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE)

-Aomine and Kagami tag-teaming in the Zone (with Kagami praising Kise and Mukkun's efforts and getting ready to fuck Jabberwock up over the shit they did to Strky)

-Aomine just casually shoots a basket from behind the board nbd

-Kuroko gets possession of the ball and does his phantom shot and you can only see Mukkun's eyes on the sidelines but he looks fucking pissed to see that goddamn move again

-Aomine motivating!!!

-Momoi shouting her heart out while Riko looks like she's giving orders like she's used to as coach!!!

-Okay seriously not how this works but holy shit Bokushi bowing out and integrating into Oreshi to make Emperor Eye complete was moving and Oreshi seemed unhappy with this being the way to win but Bokushi just thanks him for being able to play with the team one last time and then bam

-Midorima gets to make a shot!!! Thank god!!!

-Look at papa Hyuuga shouting for his team

-When Kuroko snatches the ball away from Nash-hole and takes off yes Kise is shouting like the ray of sunshine he is but look at the savage fucking smile on Mukkun like he is feeling this SO HARD

-THEN AOMINE AND KAGAMI BOTH COME RACING DOWN THE COURT TO BACK THEIR SHADOW UP TOGETHER

-Mukkun was the only Miracle who wouldn't shout for Seirin when they went against Rakuzan because it was embarrassing but he sure as hell is shouting for Vorpal Swords' last basket

-WON BY ONE POINT FUCK YEAHHHHHH

-Kise can finally stand again omg and Mukkun looks like he can't really believe this and he may have been holding his breath or may not have even realized how pumped he just got

-Our babies are all sweaty and loud and smiling and making fists together in celebration and oh my god they did it

ah well in regards to your theme, usually the theme makers are okay with minor changes (sometimes major ones too) as long as you keep the credit and the changes are for personal use (as opposed to commercial use/redistribution, etc). just to be sure, you can just check their rules. they usually have that whole page/pop up or will simply include it in their theme code.

hmm what do you mean by boxes for previews? i don’t think i’ve ever seen such as thing. it sounds interesting, though. are they previews for like posts or…?

like. they hate each other but istg they secretly love each other like have you seen kakuzu and hidan’s interactions??? they tease and insult and threaten (and have killed) each other but kakuzu is actually patient with hidan’s rituals and such, and hidan will still accompany kakuzu to the collection centers

also, when he sees asuma’s guardian shinobi thing the first thing that comes to mind is kakuzu and how he’d want him for the money and he’s like u gh but like !!!

and AND when hidan at first thinks he’s accidentally killed kakuzu in his fight with shikamaru & co., he has that look of panic ooooh my god I JUST GASHUDFJSDIJASD

also hidan is just hilarious. like when they go to recruit him he’s like “who are you guys, all wearing the same clothes?? are you guys an orchestra or band or something?”

/points at konan/ bet the girl does vocals and keyboards

and then the first thing hidan and kakuzu do to each other is kill each other

but anyways, after his “fight” he loses his other arm because kakashi and now he’s armless BUT THIS KID STILL HOLDS HIS OWN though completely on the defense AGAINST TEAM GAI LIKE WHAT THE FUCK HE’S AMAZING and then he manages to create a bomb without using any sort of handseals and fools them all into thinking he’s dead

let’s not forget when black zetsu called him weak (they had split in two at the time) and white zetsu just kind of D: and wilts a little like ooHH NO oo baby it’s okay it’s okay

konan is so strong… holy crap… like… her ultimate attack? with the bajillion paper explosive tags disguised as a lake?? that go off for 10 minutes? holy fuck.

yahiko’s pretty damn hot if you ask me (yes i know he’s a cadaver in the main time period but listen)

idk my favorite arc of the entire thing was pain’s invasion of konoha… like from the moment jiraiya’s message arrived to when everyone got revived…. and then kakashi almost became hokage…

it was fantastic

i think it’s mainly because it was a mystery, race against time, battle thing all in one and it was so neat i guess

also you could see everyone in the village working together, fighting their hardest, showing their potentials for like, the first time ever

um um um okay sasori mentally scarred me as a child, and now whenever i hear the rattling puppet noises i immediately think of these scary nightmares i had after watching his fight with sakura… yeah, puppets scare me a lot now

orochimaru is a creep ‘nuff said moving on

tobi! i love this alternate ego of obito/”madara” like idk he’s so jumpy and honestly it’s fucking hilarious watching him because he’s so secretly op certain people underestimate him at first (and then others overestimate him because of his association with akatsuki)

like. when he was warding off konoha from itachi vs sasuke’s fight (which i am still emo about) he was just like playing whack-a-mole with them and then he’s like lemme use this ability! frill-necked lizard!

and they all kinda stand and stare at him intensely execting something legit

but in reality that’s it. the extent of htat ability is just him hanging upside down with the cloack falling behind him to look like a frill-necked lizard

and it’s fucking hilarious

i also thought it was fucking adorable when he and deidara first confront sasuke

and the little bitch goes ahead and slices through him

literally through him

and HE MAKES THE MOST ADORABLE NOISE BEFORE FALLING FLAT ON HIS FACE GAH

but sasuke thinks that he actually killed him and sasuke’s all like “one down”

and deidara just kinda

sorry i thought i should make this clear but i lowkey highkey have this vendetta thing against sasuke like this little shit

like really when he goes back to konoha and sasuke tries to kill him… he goes and easily breaks his wrist

and he kinda just considers him for a moment like

and then traps him in a genjutsu that forces him to relive their parents death for 24 hours like why the fuck this is literally all your fault

and also on a side note, fuck danzo. why the fuck did the 3rd not kill him when he was supposed to. why. all the wrong people lived for far too long.

but yeah no idk i just really don’t like sasuke after he defected and became a Vengeful Teen

AND ITACHI’S STORY MAKES ME CRY EVERY TIME HOLY SHIT IT MAKES ME SO SAD WHY DID THIS BOY HAVE TO SUFFER SO MUCH and then mess up his little brother’s psyche to the point in which he starts killing like everyone wtf

another favorite moment arc of mine is the very beginning

like the first 15ish episodes

IRUKA SENSEI

he’s such a blessing. he’s literally one of those crucially important side characters and i appreciate him and i love him and it would’ve been nice to see more of him, but hey, that’s okay too.

(his part in the naruto road to ninja movie had me in tears. like at the end. fucking tears.)

like naruto and kakashi may be super close and stuff, but when he needs someone as a guardian, naruto turns to iruka and idk i feel that says a lot about their relationship and it makes me cry all the fucking time

um anyways yes i also love zabuza

he’s so strong and empowered

AND THAT WHOLE ARC MADE ME CRY A LOT TOO AND THE FACT THAT IT BECOMES SUCH AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE STORY MAKES ME SO FUCKING HAPPY

i have a lot more the say probably but it’s getting late and i need to take a shower and sleep and get up early in the morning to make food so i’ll just leave it at that
