Lmao sorry it's 2ha anon again........... idk if it's just me but it's kinda making me uneasy knowing that taxian-jun is still in the body of Moran and he "comes out" every three days... Like, it feels like chu wanning doesn't have a peaceful life even when it's supposed to be peaceful? Not only he's still being humiliated and "used(?)" it's even like... he's cheating on moran once every three days WHUT

heya again! hahahaha i’m sure you are not alone in feeling discomfort at parts of the story including this one, and you’re valid in what you think about this, although personally for me i will have to disagree with you on all parts:

(1) in terms of timeline - firstly, mo ran 2.0 IS taxian-jun, this 2.0 version isn’t like a cleaner, more sin-less version of mo ran. he is that very taxian-jun who did those acts to cwn before. the other taxian-jun that materializes is the part of him that didn’t get to have all those second chances with chu wanning, who only remembers being poisoned mentally by the flower, who only remembers pain and tragedy and anger in the majority of his life - when shi mei dies and the control he has over taxian-jun disappears, i assume taxian-jun remembers that he liked shizun in the past before he chose to take the flower, and even when he was at peak madness a part of him still had tenderness and love (even if warped) for cwn, this taxian-jun is mo ran without the second chance of going back in time, but now has his second chance turning up every few days to see cwn. at the end of the day, however, they’re all mo ran. he’s another person, but he’s also the embodiment of mo ran 2.0′s time as 0.5 too (that maybe is a bit sentient right now), but it’s all him.

(2) in terms of what chu wanning feels about this - let’s break this down, you wrote that he’s humiliated and used by txj, and that he’s cheating on mo ran 2.0, and chu wanning doesn’t have a peaceful life. i think honestly this is pretty much a huge misread/misunderstanding about chu wanning.

- on the cheating on mo ran 2.0 point

firstly, with taxian-jun at the end before the portal closes, cwn wanted to die with him, even without knowing that mo ran 2.0 was still present in his consciousness somewhere. he said, “墨宗师也好，踏仙君也好，都是你” - it’s you, be it mo-zongshi, or taxian-jun.

once again, i think people tend to discredit characters like chu wanning a little too much - he has agency. he’s not under some stockholm syndrome-esque situation, he’s not settling for mo ran or taxian-jun (which are the same person, i reiterate), chu wanning made a conscious decision. he knows what his feelings are, and he acted knowing full well how much he loves mo ran in all timelines. he also addresses and acknowledges that there are both of them - he ain’t going like yeah to get mo ran 2.0 i have to tolerate 0.5 once every three days.

ALSO - the current chu wanning IS ALSO CHU-FEI from 0.5 - he’s got all them memories and that ‘identity’ in a sense, the only difference is that his 0.5 self doesn’t materialize every few days, but this chu wanning is that chu-fei who loves 0.5 mo ran too.

the only one who has an issue with this is mo ran himself, tbh, and he is getting jealous of himself. 2.0 is jelly of 0.5, 0.5 is jelly of 2.0 - but they’re not different people, they are one and the same, and even then i feel that this jealousy stems not from the cheating part BUT that:

the embodiment of 0.5, the 0.5 that stopped right there after mo ran committed suicide and then was pulled back to life, he’s jealous because this part of him was stuck there, he never had the chance to go back and redo everything with cwn - he’s bitter that all he had then was only pain and anger at cwn leaving him, and being left behind on that note - it’s still mo ran, the same person, but this part of him that was kind of plucked out in time and rematerialized as a separate physical entity probably would have liked to have spent years and years of good times with cwn too

in the case for 2.0 mo ran, 0.5 is a part of him that he is feels guilty about all the time, he’s not proud of what he did to cwn as 0.5, even though his behaviour can be explained away with the influence of the flower. he’s less 0.5 in terms of behaviour because he’s had years to unlearn that behaviour and kind of shed off that setting of him being like an almighty tyrant ruler, while 0.5 is that tyrant ruler, but not so much a tyrant, and is retired now in a sense, and though 0.5 is nice to cwn now, he’s still that ruler XD that king who commanded and demanded things

at the end of the day, through the extras, you can tell that both 0.5 and 2.0 live to make cwn happy, even if it’s expressed in different ways

- on the humiliated/used/not peaceful point

in the 0.5 timeline, cwn already knew the truth about the flower and set the timeline reversal thing up - because he loves mo ran. he loves mo ran even like this, even without the prospect of a 1.0 or 2.0 in mind. the chu-fei then made the conscious decision to save him. he loves taxian-jun, but he had to act like he was disgusted and hated him. not excusing what mo ran does to him, that’s an entirely different matter, but cwn also knows that mo ran has been driven to this evil state because of the flower as well. there’s the 0.5 part of cwn in him - this current cwn IS CHU-FEI, the chu-fei that loves 0.5 mo ran

also i don’t think cwn hates the rough sexy times he has with txj either - i mean, the man was getting all hot about it even before 0.5 materialized in 2.0 timeline through the past visions etc. - sure, is there maybe a type he prefers? of course, but don’t we all XD cwn is fine with both, and even if he does not, he has full right to say no and reject, and i’m sure 0.5 and 2.0 are more than happy to comply

whoever said cwn wanted the peaceful life in that sense? we all have different understandings of what constitutes peaceful - for chu wanning, peaceful means that hut on that mountain, spent with the man he loves, even if they come up in different forms every few days. sure, he definitely would never have expected to have to deal with both, but does chu wanning hate it? i don’t think so

yes, taxian-jun’s antics when he turns up always ends up in trouble more often than not, but cwn is exasperated, BUT FOND, there’s a huge difference. and his antics are harmless - okay yes, he robbed a store to gift what he robbed to cwn for his birthday but? harmless, and 0.5 can still be taught HAHAHA

Miraculous World: Shanghai, the Legend of Lady Dragon

Again my random, not well-arranged thoughts about a new Miraculous TV movie. I'm surprised that my posts like these are getting some likes, mostly from people who even don't follow me (by the way, I wonder how you find them if they are reblogged by no more than two persons, through tags like "miraculous ladybug" or what?). I very thank you all for reading them. I'm not a good at analysis like many others, so every single person who likes read about my opinions and thoughts makes me really happy.

Personally I have never been overly excited about the specials in general, I'm more interested in the main show, how its plot is going to progress, besides I'm not a big fan of the New York TV movie, so I feel really astonished by the Shangai one. I really, really love it, more than any of already released S4 episodes (well, no wonder if I found both Furious Fu and Truth rather mediocre) and very well-received by the fandom NY special. I guess my opinion is not popular one, as I know some people have been generally negative biased towards it for some reason.

To begin with, I'm gonna explain why I don't see New York special being an amazing episode of Miraculous. I generally liked it but it, but I have some issues with it. One of them is pacing, the first part in Paris and on the plane is too long in comparison to actual action in New York (so it feels so rushed) and it's too much focused on shipping content (and remember I'm a big Adrienette fan), so American superheroes haven't gotten enough screentime. Every character other than Aeon and Jess were portrayed very shallow. Of course I don't think that every character should have been deep, but Olympia and Barbara were just disappointing. I have expected more from women who are Majestia and Knight Owl. But my the biggest problem is how much overly dramatic it is, to the point in which it's just tiring. I especially dislike the scene in which Marinette is chasing Adrien and screams she loves him after the falling off a bike, it feels like taken from very corny romance.

Shanghai was different, much more enjoyable to me. It has better pacing, no over-the-top melodrama, fewer but more interesting characters, more exciting plot. I even like the music more, because I really enjoy oriental sound.

I've seen people complaining about Marinette chasing Adrien instead of just wanting to spend time with her uncle on his birthday and learning more about her roots, that it's "bad writing". It's not new that Marinette is crazy about Adrien and it's not uncommon that people are not interested in learning language and culture of one (or even both) of their parents if they live in a completely different country the whole life. I actually liked that Tom and Sabine haven't been forcing her to that and they have been waiting for the moment in which Marinette would be ready. It also shows how good and understanding her parents are. Of course her motivation to go to Shanghai was bad and shallow, but she was punished for it by getting lost and robbed in a big Chinese city without chance to speak to people. And I find it funny that her future husband wants to learn her Chinese despite of not having Chinese roots (but maybe he has, who knows?).

I never would have thought that I would like Wang Cheng as much as I liked him the special. Especially his scenes with Adrien. I should not have been that much attached to fictional character, but seeing how happy my boy was during his time in Cheng's restaurant melted my heart. I don't remember him laughing out loud that often before (I know only about the umbrella scene). He really fits to the Dupain-Cheng family. It's sad when you think about terrible parenting of Gabriel, but his future with Marinette is going to make him happy, also because of her lovable family. I miss Adrien so much, because we have barely seen him in only one of two released S4 episodes till now, so I really treasured those moments with him we've gotten in this special.

I also loved Bastille, the adorable grey parrot (I'm not sure, but Miraculous Wiki agrees with me) and I want to draw him as well. He reminds me character designs in Dreamworks animations. That's funny than he immediately noticed that Adrien loves Marinette.

I need to say that I love Fei so much. I'm happy that she's the main character of the special (along with Marinette, I think both girl got more or less the same screentime), it made me really care about her, unlike the New York characters. I liked some of them like Jess, but not that much to make me want to see them again so badly. Fei is a cool, but still a flawed character, her story is both sad and thrilling. We've seen her good and bad sides and I think she's well-balanced. I see her a very good protagonist material for a series. Besides, I love her design as well and I'm gonna draw her one day.

Renren and Renlings concept is also interesting and fresh, I like all magical creatures in Miraculous so they are not exceptions.

But my favourite creature design is Mei Shi in his Kwami-like form. I really, really need to draw this thing.

I want to write something about the merchant of pawnshop, because I find him interesting character as well.The bad guy from the New York special was bland as hell, but Cash was really intimidating. The man obsessed with money, but very intelligent and smart. I also like his style of speaking, I think he was more dangerous as a normal human than as an akuma villain.

I've noticed that Tikki has some sort of pinkish vision, so I wonder if Plagg sees in green. ;)

I also enjoyed the atmosphere in this. Shanghai looks beautiful and the oriental music adds more soul to it. I'm surprised how serious and brutal it was for a kid's show in few moments . I would never have expected that they would show three adults who are chasing two teens with a stick (civilian, not superheroes, there's a difference). We haven't seen of them hitting any of the girls or boys, but still. It has some dramatic moments, but they are better balanced and more subtle than in the New York special.

I'm sure I forget about something I wanted to write about, like always, but I can't see it in that moment, so I'm keeping it the way it is. This post is already way too long. ;)

Why did you give me this hard question?? What did I do to deserve this? 😭😭 I love them all but if I have to pick it, so be it.

1. The kiss in book 5 when they're on top of the statue. Idk why but it reminds me of sherk 2 and Pei Ming's ho ho really sold it

2. That scene in book 3 where it's after hualian's first kiss and Xie Lian was trying to run away. I love that scene because the ghosts in ghost city was like," are you trying to rape someone?? Do you want us to hold them down?"idk why but that's so funny for me. I also love when Hualian went on a little date and the ladies ghost were like," isn't that the guy who can't get it up?" I just love everything after the first kiss, it was comedy goals

3. That part in book 3 where Qi Rong kidnapped people and the password to release them was," Dog fucker Xie Lian" I love Dianxia but that was the funniest thing that Qi Rong did

4. The whole gambler dan scene in book 1. That was just 😍😍😍😍😍. I also love when Hua Cheng asked for the prize and he was so happy over a cold half eaten bun. I'm so excited to see that animated next season

5. This is so hard but I loved the end of book 5 when Hualian reunited. I cried so hard when Hua cheng was like," I'll never leave you behind, i''ll be back." I felt so happy and I almost cried again when Dianxia run and hug Huahua. It was so cute 😭😭😭😭

Because she was in a hurry to solve Bai Jieying's matter these days, she did not have time to go back to her villa in Jiangnan Town to look for Ling Yi Yao, and when she saw her again this time, she was actually in a bit of a trance, and thinking of the demented acts she was going to do, she immediately bear-hugged her.

Yesterday, people in Japan celebrate "4月6日はホワの日" or "Shi tsuki Roku nichi wa Howa no Hi" which translate as "4th month and 6th day is white day" Not his birthday, I think? (since so far I know his birthday is somewhere on October near Campus and Classic) , but it's another pun like 5th May which they celebrate as MEIKO day because it sound similar "Mei Go" with "MEIKO" and this 4th April is "Shi Roku" which could be altered as "Shiro" which means "White" Oh well, whatever the day was, let's say it together! HAPPY (BELATED) WHITE DAY! 🙌✨

i realize that being a woman is a lot like being a planet—i can’t decide what my gravity attracts. i am as helpless as i am powerful. i am very powerful.

born in tokyo, yukiko grew up known as a fiery daughter unconventional to the standards placed upon the typical japanese/korean family. though her mother and birth father were korean, her mother left the man before giving birth, instead moving to tokyo (a place of which she always dreamed of moving). it was there that her mother met katsuo, a man willing to provide and ready to be a father unlike the previous man.

what differentiated her from conventional daughters was nothing short of compiled qualities that her parents doted on her for despite the disapproval of strangers. she was loud and bounced around like a ball of light, cheeks round with enthusiasm.

growing up, her personality only blossomed from there. by the age of five they’d welcomed a healthy baby sister which took the name of mei, a sibling for her to admire in the light that poured from window sills. she swore in those moments growing with her baby sister that she’d never been happier – she couldn’t be happier.

years when by as she flourished into a teenager, getting along with her parents without much trouble and maintaining a decent home life. her family was the perfect balance of a mix of adoring qualities, and she was content. until her mother got pregnant again.

of course it didn’t seem so bad aside from the age gap. the pregnancy was an accident, yukiko already of the age of fourteen while her mei was the age of nine, but the two remained both ecstatic yet skeptical. welcoming a baby sister so late in their lives was not only riveting, but nerve-wracking, the family unaware of the issues to surface.

her mother went into labor nine months later, kiko ready to welcome her new baby sister natsumi into the world. while the delivery went over well, adjusting at home felt different this pregnancy.

her mother had begun experiencing questionable syndromes, yet she insisted that the nurses ensured her that prenatal sickness was common ( and her mother was a strong woman, never wanting to appear as if she was overreacting to mere cold symptoms ) so she insisted that a hospital visit wasn’t necessary. within mere days however, the sudden and excessive bleeding accompanied by a high fever and shivers that left her unable to communicate, it was clear to her family that there was something wrong.

after rushing her to the hospital, they’d discovered that she was entering a drastic drop in blood pressure and heart rate, something of which eventually spiraled into septic shock. it was only a matter of time before multiple organs started to fail, and her mother passed away.

her death was something that shocked yukiko’s family immensely, her father entering depression as her bubbly personality dropped. she was bitter at the world, a more importantly, shifted the blame undeservingly to her younger sister, sumi. at such a young age, she couldn’t understand why her and mei’s births had been fine, yet sumi’s came at the cost of her mothers life.

she began to act out, rebelling into the age of fifteen to try and feel something opposed to the emptiness that encompassed her chest. her actions, however, only stirred tensions in the household, their verbal fights nothing short of ugly and uncalled for as he quickly grew fed up of her actions and shipped her off to st. augustine, florida to live with her uncle.

yukiko was miserable. only sixteen, she was abandoned in a city unkind to those with no direction. significantly smaller than the comforts of a bustling tokyo, she became a foreigner stranded in unfamiliarity, her uncle a strict cop who was determined to set her back in line.

the move only upset her more, only encouraging her to act out even more. she took advantage of the soft bone that he’d never admit to having for his niece, her uncle often getting her out of the trouble that she found herself in (i.e. getting her out of parking tickets, keeping her from the day long cell holds she was dancing towards ). it was as if she wanted to get arrested because the thrill of getting caught – the thrill of being shown that someone cared enough to let her take the punishments she was warranting instead of weaseling her out of them.

she was frustrated – a broken girl with clipped wings that knew english but refused to speak it in florida just to piss people off. a loud nineteen year old despite the fact that her actions did more talking than her words. she searched for the happiness in the empty mouths of strangers, angry at the world until she was offered a ticket to busan. it was a move her family had made in the years between lost contact, a chance to see the people that had so willingly tossed her away ( though that wasn’t the point. they had tried to keep in contact with her, but she refused. they hadn’t spoken in 4 years ).

so she took it. showed up with cold eyes in another unfamiliar city that somehow felt like home. mei felt distant and sumi had grown to be five, an unfamiliar face that shied away at her tense gaze. she could barely bring herself to meet her fathers gaze.

after establishing that her uncle couldn’t deal with her ( unless he wanted to be fired for how many times he saved her ass ), she was sent to korea to move back in with her family, another unwarranted move that left her distressed. she felt like she was fending for herself with people that’d grown to be strangers. luckily she was never home, out with unfamiliar faces that brought her comfort. she kept up acting out until one night where she was caught up with the wrong people at the wrong time.

thought she hadn’t done anything, the people flipped the script on her and got her taken away in police custody. thrown into a cell for a day or two was enough to terrify her and snap her back into reality. with her father bitter with having to pay a bail amount for her, she realized that with 20 years old fastly approaching, she had to cope with what had happened in her past instead of internalizing it into inexcusable actions.

she seeked help of a therapist that helped her get her life back on the right track, and yukiko with time began to grow out of her rebellion and back into her own skin. taking some time to rediscover who she is, she began to redevelop her relationships with her siblings and father before years later deciding to apply for college in seoul. with an interest in journalism and aspiring to become a documentary producer, she livin her best days in her little apartments now years later in seoul !!
