There's a thing I want to ask you about, but I'm keeping forgetting about it when or I'm too lazy for that. At the beginning of Heart Hunter in scene in which Chat Noir lied that he has a girlfriend, Ladybug said 'I can't be in love with you' in the English dub. I heard that line is different in the original French version, that it's her typical 'I'm in love with another boy' or something similar. Is that true?

In French she says “I am not in love with you Chat Noir, I already told you.”

Another thing I’ve noticed is that the voices tones in French are somehow more “cheerful” than in English during this scene (especially when Ladybug says that she can’t love him/is not in love with him)? So I don’t know, they might have played on that too.

There’s also another big difference I just noticed by rewatching the two, but when Chat Noir leaves, he says:

English: “Yeah, I know that. But it still hurts.”

French: “Yeah yeah, I know that well. Well, bye/see you!”

So I feel like you have a sort of “light” and conversational mood in the French version while they went for a heavier one in English for some reasons 🤔

Video game ask: 2, 5, 8, 14. :)

2. Most nostalgic game?

Donkey Kong Country 3 and Super Mario RPG. For different reasons. 

I know for DKC, the most popular is the 2nd one, but there was something in DKC3 that appeal to me more. You know when you start a level and put the controller down just to be immerse by the world and its music? 

Also, I loved travelling and explore the map aboard the boat, discovering secrets. solving the cristals puzzles to free the banana birds. As I kid I also find the Bears characters amusing even though I could read English then.   

As for Super Mario RPG, again, I couldn’t read English then and miss a lot of the humor, but despite this, this game is precious to me because my little brother and I worked together to advance in it without Internet nor any printed guide. Fun time!

5. Favorite game series?

The Tales series ^^ Though I haven’t played much of the most recent motherships since I don’t have the consoles for those titles. And I kinda of wish we didn’t have as many spin-off and crossovers games)

If you want a J-RPG with a real-time battle system with great characters, you might want to check it out. Also, most titles are independant, so you can pick and start whichever suits your taste. 

8. Favorite song from a game? 

This is really tough for me to answer. Mostly because I often put entire OST compilations as background music when I work, so I don’t pay attention of the track names and don’t have a location nor a moment in the game that could help me identify it ^^; And that is when I did play the game and some are starting to date...

Anyway, let’s go with the OST of Ori and the Blind Forest

14. First console? 

The SNES! Our neighbors would bring theirs to our house to play with my older siblings. When they wanted to depart of it, we bought their console back since our little brother who is on the autism spectrum loved playing it. And after all these years, we still have it!

What’s this? A blog post!? No way!

I try to recap the past to weeks without overwhelming:

My work schedule MIGHT be going back to normal come October, but the run up to that normalcy has been exhausting.

A quick congrats to @dragnime <3

I teased with the idea of breaking my writing hiatus with stories for two of my friends who had birthdays this past weekend. It didn’t go well... Oh well, happy belated to @chibisunnie.

I’ve largely been avoiding Tumblr because of imposter syndrome, but thank you to everyone who has been supporting me during all of this.

@chicoriii shared a post during ML Positivity Week in August which included me on her fanfiction recommendation list, and I feel like such a heel that it kept me until NOW to acknowledge that it made me so happy I cried.

I was inspired to create my own rec list, which... has... well... it’s been a project....

I’m feeling better and really looking forward to the Miraculous New York special on Friday. I’m optimistic that I can break from this funk and get back into writing. I want to SOOOOO bad.

A huge thank you to the support I’ve had this year.

Finally I found time to make a new Plagg art wearing a fedora for my new icon purpose. It's, of course, inspired by early scene from the first season 4 episode, in which Tikki is trying few hats on made my Marinette for her.

Why a fedora? Because I think fedoras as so cool.

Hi!! I'm sorry this come very late, I never realised this ask in my inbox. ;A;

And I don't think I could think of five things but... Let see.

My body. It's small and small means I can still wear clothes from my high school day until now (I'm 25+ now, hha) as my body have not change at all since that day. And having small body also means I can still get student price when I'm using public transport. Save a lot of money! ✌

I'm arguably the most patient one in my family, hha. I think that should be an achievement, considering most of my family has quiet high temper. ♡( ◡‿◡ )

My family is part of me, so it's count, yes? :) I come from bi-ethnic family, which is not hard to find when you're Indonesian. But I'm pretty much like Marinette, I don't have any interest in learning about my families culture/tradition, until later on. And being bi-ethnic is pretty much fun, until someone asked you in a language that you don't understand, despite I probably should, lol. X"D

I love how my imagination could give me headache, it give me many ideas to write a story sometimes with weird propmt. But don't you hate it when plot bunny come and it disappeared by the time you sit in front of your laptop? Because i do. (╮°-°)╮┳━━┳ ( ╯°□°)╯ ┻━━┻

We're an international team of Miraculous Ladybug fans, who came together in a quest to offer faithful English subs for the French dub of the show. We're picking up from where our first big Fandom Subbing group, @miraculousubs, left off, so we won't be uploading the episodes they already worked on. We hope our work will be of use for analysis and general curiosity!

Our translators are all native French speakers, working with native English speakers to provide content that's as accurate and natural as possible. We've also made sure to include notes to explain French expressions where needed. We're very excited to finally share our work with you!

Disclaimer: this is a fan project that we're running beside our real lives; there won't be a regular uploading schedule, and the episodes won't necessarily be uploaded in order. Top 5 Miraculous episodes. :)

Again, no specific order

It was my favorite episode during Season 1 and still remains one of my favorite. I just love the tension in this one. And this episode is even more fun to watch after Collector. I still remember the debate Gabriel couldn’t be HM because of that episode. Good times. This episode is always worth a rewatch in my book.

Riposte

En garde. Prêts? Allez!

This episode made me realized I needed more Ladrien in my life haha! It was also a cool introduction for one of my favorite girls as well! 

I love seeing Marinette and Adrien interacting together in this one. And they even duel a few rounds together! That freaking match between Adrien and Kagami was overkill and I love it for that xD I also love how Adrien risks his life as a civilian to protect LB, gets wounded and it later affects him. And that final battle? I get goosebumps when LB and CN repeat the “En garde. Prêts? Allez” at they finally break Riposte’s sword (and it makes a nice little nod to when they were sparing themself as civilians). And the ending that is a bit bitter-sweet. Awww~

And the episode also contains my favorite pun from the show “Maybe he is... clawstrophobic?”

Dark Owl

A civilian trying to be a superhero? Check. Said civilian puts himself more in trouble than helping those around? Check. LB and CN cannot have free time anymore as civilians because of this? Check. The little hommage to Batman? Check. LB and CN exhausted trying to find a way to solve this and regain their social life? Check. Alya being asked to help and wear a cardboard costume? Check (btw this is even funnier if you consider that Sapotis happened before this episode xD). 

Honestly, Mr. Damocles was made very sympathic in this episode and you just feel for him when he accidently got exposed. And man, the supervillain he turned into is one of the best. He was very clever and his trap did work. 

And what can I say about this freaking scene?! The trust they have for one another there just make me melt.

It was also a nice twist that Dark Owl’s akumatized object wasn’t on him. And the ending was cute as the Owl found his calling and become popular :)

Oni-Chan

You all know I love Lila as a villain and here I was served! Every scene Lila is in it steal the episode for me. When she sneaks into the Agreste Mansion. When she refused to be helped by LB. When she manage to make an Akumatized who was pursuing her to deal with LB instead. When she trick CN, leading him away and putting LB in a serious disavantage. And what can I say about that ending? Not only Adrien is finally realizing how dangerous Lila can be and that he should keep her at bay. But worse! 

A deal between two demons gets established and when know this is bound to no good and I. LOVE. IT. Haha! This episode is such an important cornerstone of the season!

Also, Oni-Chan herself has also one of my favorite Akumatized design with the mix of the rose and oni theme. And her power was really original as well. It felt like a nice metaphor for cyberharassment and cyberbullying. And the progression of LB discovering how Oni-Chan’s power works and using it against her was well done imo. 

Ladybug

I admit, the beginning is a little hard to follow at first because you have to make sense of those flashbacks and ellipses. But it was just one twist after the other. So much was going on. The scheme. The unexpected return of Catalyst and Scarlet Moth. Marinette being akumatized. The plan being aborted midway because Catalyst collapses. Nathalie disobeying Gabriel and going with her own plan to get the Miraculous. Mayura actually creating a sentimonster who is an exact replica of someone (!). Hawkmoth showing up to save Mayura. Adrien sacrificing himself so Marinette can get back to school. (I still have goosebump of their “friendly” discussion. I can’t wait to see more to this!
