306 days until the Phantom of the Paradise 50th Anniversary Event.
For the last three minutes of 2023 in British Columbia, I was scrambling to find my phone to record the moment I had planned so meticulously - to sync the drop of "Goodbye, Eddie, Goodbye" to the start of the New Year - to no avail, as I had unknowingly left it in the kitchen beside a room-temperature glass of milk.
Like clockwork, Archie belted out "FOR LOOOOOOVE" precisely as the twelfth hour struck. I fell to my knees at my computer, slack-jawed, the faint glow of the screen serving as the only light source in my lonely, dishevelled bedroom.
The clock struck 12:01. The band played on. They did not and could not care for my woes - for the fact that 2024 was a minute in and I had already failed it. They could not see my bloodshot eyes piercing a thousand yards past them and into some purgatorial abyss. Monkees lyrics popped into my head: "A face, a voice, an overdub has no choice, an image cannot rejoice".
12:04. The Fruits finished their number. I put my computer to sleep. The room was enveloped in darkness. And there was silence in the Heavens.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I waited an hour to stage this video using Alaska time. Happy New Year, Alaska? fUck

Extrapolating from the Doctor Who jokes in Good Omens 2 (spoiler-free other than that, you know, they make a Doctor Who joke or two)
First of all, I firmly believe Aziraphale started watching the day the first episode came out in hopes of discovering good children's educational content for Heaven, was absolutely horrified by The Bit with the Rock, and stopped watching until 1983 when he learned that the TARDIS team now had a cricket-loving blonde Doctor and his wispy, rude, ginger sidekick. [Insert handwave-y explanation here about "you know, there are only so many faces that humans can have..."]
Then Twin Dilemma happens and Az stops watching again. Crowley, on the other hand, fucking loves the C. Baker Doctor despite refusing to acknowledge that he's ever watched the show before.
... they both like Seven.
Az definitely has an entire collection of mint condition EDAs/VNAs in the bookshop.
Neither of them give much of a shit when the show comes back until the 50th anniversary, which Crowley can't be bothered with but that Aziraphale is mildly excited for. Then, you know, he sees it and freaks out, shows it to Crowley, and Crowley very carefully puts it in the back of his brain for the next time he has access to a fez.
I also expect that Crowley kind of hates David Tennant. He has definitely been asked to sign things before. Every single time it happens, he very begrudgingly forges David's signature because he's pretty sure that Aziraphale would rather he made a kid happy over obeying fraud laws.
They're both excited for the 60th anniversary but neither of them will admit it to the other tbh

My Secret Life: Alex Horne, 33, comedian
Saturday 17 March 2012 LINK
The household I grew up in... was very male. I've got two brothers and there was a male dog and two male cats and every family we knew had three boys. Great for us, slightly less great for my mum.
When I was a child I wanted to be... embarrassingly, the great novelist. Or a respected charity worker. I still think both might come true.
If I could change one thing about myself... I would be better at accents. I am genuinely good at copying people's handwriting, but that's less help on stage.
You wouldn't know it but I am very good at... I am almost incredible at table football. It's nothing to be proud of.
You may not know it but I'm no good at... reading books – even though I've written two and want to write the best in the world.
I wish I had never worn... At my dad's 50th [birthday] I wore a kilt. I'm a quarter Scottish but that's not enough to warrant wearing a kilt at any point in my life.
At night I dream of... my next show. They tend to go quite well in my dreams. And then I do the show and it doesn't go quite so well.
What I see when I look in the mirror... Not enough wrinkles. I'm worried that, at 33, it reflects a life that's been a bit boring.
My favourite item of clothing... Bowling shoes. They're from eBay but people think I've stolen them, something everyone wants to do – I quite like that they give me that air of recklessness.
My favourite building... This is vaguely soppy – it's All Souls Church by Broadcasting House. I met my wife on the steps of the church before our first date.
Movie heaven... Any Bond film.
My greatest regret... Supporting Liverpool football club. I wish I'd supported the club where I grew up so I would have a good reason to be fanatical.
My secret crush... Vorderman, I'm afraid. I'm a big Countdown fan. I was on it a few years ago, and she lived up to everything I had expected.
My real-life villain... Meddling execs, especially in TV.
The person who really makes me laugh... My two-year-old son, Tom. He will insist on eating a meal with a box on his head because he's a robot and then get upset because it's difficult to eat food with a box on your head.
The last time I cried... My son Barney's birth, Christmas day 2010. It was happy crying. But it kind of ruined Christmas!
My five-year plan... Everything goes out the window slightly with kids – we've written off the next 20 years.
My life in six words... Not wasting a very lucky life.
A LIFE IN BRIEF

Everything you need to know about Pentecost
Tumblr media
By CNA Staff | 26 May 2023
This weekend, the Church celebrates Pentecost, one of the most important feast days of the year that concludes the Easter season and celebrates the beginning of the Church.
The timing and origins of Pentecost
Pentecost always occurs 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus and 10 days after his ascension into heaven.
Because Easter is a moveable feast without a fixed date, and Pentecost depends on the timing of Easter, Pentecost can fall anywhere between May 10 and June 13.
The timing of these feasts is also where Catholics get the concept of the novena — nine days of prayer — because in Acts 1, Mary and the Apostles prayed together “continuously” for nine days after the Ascension leading up to Pentecost.
Traditionally, the Church prays the novena to the Holy Spirit in the days before Pentecost.
The name of the day itself is derived from the Greek word “pentecoste,” meaning 50th.
There is a parallel Jewish holiday, Shavu’ot, which falls 50 days after Passover.
Shavu’ot is sometimes called the festival of weeks, referring to the seven weeks since Passover.
Originally a harvest feast, Shavu’ot now commemorates the sealing of the Old Covenant on Mount Sinai, when the Lord revealed the Torah to Moses on Mount Sinai.
Every year, the Jewish people renew their acceptance of the gift of the Torah on this feast.
What happens at Pentecost?
In the Christian tradition, Pentecost is the celebration of the person of the Holy Spirit coming upon the Apostles, Mary, and the first followers of Jesus, who were gathered together in the Upper Room.
A “strong, driving” wind filled the room where they were gathered and tongues of fire came to rest on their heads, allowing them to speak in different languages so that they could understand each other.
It was such a strange phenomenon that some people thought the Christians were just drunk.
However, Peter pointed out that it was only the morning and said the phenomenon was caused by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit also gave the apostles the other gifts and fruits necessary to fulfill the great commission — to go out and preach the Gospel to all nations.
It fulfills the New Testament promise from Christ (Luke 24:46-49) that the Apostles would be “clothed with power” before they would be sent out to spread the Gospel.
Where’s that in the bible?
The main event of Pentecost (the strong driving wind and tongues of fire) takes place in Acts 2:13, though the events immediately following (Peter’s homily, the baptism of thousands) continue through verse 41.
Happy Birthday, Church!
It was right after Pentecost that Peter, inspired by the Holy Spirit, preached his first homily to Jews and other non-believers in which he opened the scriptures of the Old Testament, showing how the prophet Joel prophesied events and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
He also told the people that the Jesus they crucified is the Lord and was raised from the dead, which “cut them to the heart.”
When they asked what they should do, Peter exhorted them to repent of their sins and to be baptized.
According to the account in Acts, about 3,000 people were baptized following Peter’s sermon.
For this reason, Pentecost is considered the birthday of the Church — Peter, the first Pope, preaches for the first time and converts thousands of new believers.
The apostles and believers, for the first time, were united by a common language, a common zeal, and a common purpose to go and preach the Gospel.
Pentecost vestments and customs around the world
Typically, priests will wear red vestments on Pentecost, symbolic of the burning fire of God’s love and the tongues of fire that descended on the apostles.
However, in some parts of the world, Pentecost is also referred to as “WhitSunday,” or White Sunday, referring to the white vestments that are typically worn in Britain and Ireland.
The white vestment is symbolic of the dove of the Holy Spirit and typical of the vestments that catechumens desiring baptism wear on that day.
An Italian Pentecost tradition is to scatter rose leaves from the ceiling of the churches to recall the miracle of the fiery tongues.
In some places in Italy, Pentecost is sometimes called Pascha Rosatum (Easter roses).
In France, it is tradition to blow trumpets during Mass to recall the sound of the driving wind of the Holy Spirit.
In Asia, it is typical to have an extra service, called genuflexion, during which long poems and prayers are recited.
In Russia, Mass-goers often carry flowers or green branches during Pentecost services.

Because of that one post about a TGCF AU, Sarumi TGCF AU wtih Xie Lian!Yata and Hua Cheng!Fushimi?
As I said in the notes of that ask, I totally see Fushimi being like the more tsundere Hua Cheng, muttering about stupid idiot god Misaki and who would worship such a moron as he carves his 50th Misaki statue and sends up another couple hundred thousand lanterns. Imagine Yata as the beloved crown prince of the kingdom of Homra, he’s extremely popular among the people for his passionate desire to be a hero to everyone and to save even the common people. One day during a great parade a kid about Yata’s age is pushed off a high balcony and falls, Yata leaps off his parade float and jumps to save the kid even though the parade should never be stopped. The kid’s a little taller than Yata but way thinner and Yata easily catches him, wondering if the kid’s okay and worrying about him while the kid tries to push him away, claiming that if Yata wants gratitude he should look elsewhere.
Yata has the kid taken to the palace and the only name the kid will give him is ‘Monkey.’ Maybe Monkey has a slight fever too so Yata has him taken to bed and starts taking care of him, bringing him porridge and drinks and just checking up on him and the kid is so confused, no one’s ever acted this way towards him. Yata’s advisors tell him to let them take the kid away somewhere else, because they can see he was born under a bad star and will only bring misfortune to Yata. The kid overhears and looks ready for Yata to leave him but instead Yata fights back, if he just wants to save someone for the sake of getting their gratitude and not because he actually wants to help then what’s even the point of being a hero. Eventually the kid slips out of the palace all on his own and Yata’s upset because he wanted to talk more, and it’s not long after this that Yata ascends for the first time. As a god he’s no longer able to interact with people as much as he wants but one day he’s at his own temple and a scrawny kid in glasses is praying to his statue, wondering if there’s even a reason to live. Yata leaves him an umbrella and, not knowing what else to say, tells him ‘if you need a reason to live then live for me.’
After this various terrible things happen to Yata, he descends and then ascends again as a god multiple times and undergoes a lot of hardships (and somehow there’s always a person or a spirit near him, and Yata doesn’t get why). One day after his latest ascension he’s sent on a mission that involves him having to disguise himself as a bride which Yata is so not happy about, complaining that he’s gonna kick the ass of the ghost that made him have to do this. However when the bridal carriage stops he just hears the softest tongue click and then someone leads him out, walking with him through the forest and covering him with an umbrella. When Yata is finally able to look at that person though they’ve disappeared, and behind him there’s just a forest with blood dripping from the trees.
Yata ends up deciding to stay in the mortal realm for a while and that’s when he meets a guy named ‘Saruhiko,’ who decides to stick with Yata since he has nowhere else to go. At first Yata doesn’t get this guy at all but then Saruhiko helps him on his next mission and Yata realizes that Saruhiko is really amazing and he thinks it sure is lucky that Saruhiko just coincidentally ended up at his side (meanwhile one of Yata’s few god friends, Kamamoto, keeps trying to suggest that maybe Saruhiko isn’t what he appears to be and Yata just slaps his back like don’t be stupid, Saruhiko’s just Saruhiko). It isn’t until he has to infiltrate Ghost City that Yata realizes Saruhiko is really the Calamity Fushimi, the strong Ghost King who all of heaven is wary about. Yata’s initially hesitant, wondering why Saruhiko didn’t just tell him and Fushimi laughs, saying Yata really hasn’t changed at all and Yata wonders what he means by that. Fushimi claims it’s nothing and that he just thinks Yata’s stupidity is amusing, that’s all — but he’s always showing up right when Yata needs him, and has no interest in anything that doesn’t involve having Yata by his side.

In the defining number 'A Musical' from musical "Something Rotten," famous musical numbers are wittily melded together. You may wonder why we're bringing up a past work, but the start of this story was 2 years ago. Back then, in a video interview with Theatre Plus, we asked if there was a musical parodied in that number that Seo Eunkwang would want to participate in, and without hesitation he answered "Jesus Christ Superstar." "It would be so great if I could do that musical with Michael (Lee)," he said and in two years that has become reality.
The musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" was created fifty years ago by the musical world's virtuoso composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Tim Rice. It interprets the story of the seven days before the death of Jesus from an unconventional perspective, and became a topic as it stood at the center of several controversies. It was a work so ahead of its time that even now, a long time later, you can still feel how unconventional it is. One wonders what kind of message it will throw to the audiences of 2022. We asked Seo Eunkwang, playing the role of Judas, to tell us about this work which is being performed again in Korea after 7 years.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You mentioned that your dream work was "Jesus Christ Superstar" in a number of interviews. How does it feel to have that dream come true?
Like I've said, this is one of the works I wanted to try doing the most, so it makes me want to do a really good job. While I've been doing musicals, I think this is the first one that's made me feel this much pressure. And the thing that adds even more pressure is that this is the 50th anniversary performance. It's even the first time it's been performed (in Korea) in 7 years. Since I know that so many people have so much interest, I'm working very hard to prepare. It's such an honor to be able to participate. I'm very happy.
You mentioned that your dream role was Jesus, but this time you ended up with the role of Judas.
I wondered what kind of feeling it would be to stand onstage as Jesus, and that kind of expectation led me to say I wanted to play Jesus. I'm still not good enough for that role, so I think I'll have to build up more years of experience first. And Judas is very impressive and has a lot of charm, so I'm really into him. The Judas numbers are very intense, so on one hand it's very difficult.
Like you said, this work has a reputation for having very difficult musical numbers. You're famous yourself for being good at singing, but it must feel very different to be engaged in this work.
Since the Judas numbers "Heaven on their Minds" and "Superstar" are so famous, a lot of people probably know them, but as I've actually been starting work on the show, there are also a lot of other difficult songs. I was shocked the first time I started practicing. The number "Judas' Death" which he sings just before dying is incredible. And besides that all the other songs are hard, too. Three or four songs are in the range of the top of the second octave, even playing into the third octave, which is just ridiculous for a male role. It makes me wonder what the composer was thinking when he composed them.
And also all the different Judas actors have interpreted the songs in their own different ways.
That's why practice was so hard. The work itself is very free. The melody line is set, but everyone has sung it with their own style. So after absorbing the sheet music, changing it to fit my own style was really extremely hard. It was my first time doing such a free work, so it was very new for me.
Recently on a livestream you showed yourself practicing "Heaven on their Minds." It was like getting a taste of Seo Eunkwang's Judas.
Now I'd like to delete the video. At the time, after practicing a few songs including Western ones, I started livestreaming because I wanted to show that, but I really regret showing this song in advance. Since I was just practicing, there were a lot of parts that were lacking. It's a relief that the fans like it, but next time I'll have to be more thorough.
Even though it was practice, that in itself makes you feel like it was lacking, I guess.
When singing, I want to show a perfect side of myself. Compared to the past, I've let go a lot. When I was young, I felt that way strongly, but lately I've thought that I wanted to show my growth through even the imperfect side of myself. That's why I showed myself practicing, but afterwards as time has gone on I've felt regretful about it. "I could have done it better," I think.
There are a lot of videos where your fellow BTOB member and musical theater actor Lee Changsub sings the number "Gethsemane." It makes me wonder if the two of you might do this work together someday.
We tend to sing for fun, and we both really like that song. If someday Changsub could play Judas and I could play Jesus and we could stand on stage together, that would be a dream come true. Wow, just imagining it is amazing.
Tumblr media
Judas is a person who's remembered as a betrayer. But in this work, he's drawn as a revolutionary, which became a hot topic.
I also only knew Judas as a betrayer. But while preparing for this work, the other day I asked my mom while we were eating. My mom is an elder and is very devout. I asked, "What do you think about Judas?" and what she told me is very similar to how I'm interpreting Judas now. Most people think of him as a betrayer, but how much must he have worried and thought over his decision up until he sold Jesus out, and what kinds of thoughts must he have had when he heard Jesus predict that he would betray him. She told me that must not have been an easy decision, and that put part of my mind at ease. I thought that I could express Judas as much as I wanted and the people watching would fully accept that. I had a lot of worries, but thanks to that I became a bit freer.
What kinds of things were you worrying about?
The hardest part was that the character of Judas isn't explained very well. In the Bible, he's mostly portrayed as a traitor, so most of the audience will come in with only that background for him. You can't help but come in with those biases. But within this work, rather than being a betrayer, he loves Jesus so much and reveals his own beliefs so strongly, and those beliefs are so clear. So my homework was to portray that well. Also my own image tends to be strongly of someone very bright and happy, on top of my build being on the small side, so I worried about how best to capture the character in order to explain him well.
In the role of Jesus, actors Michael Lee and Im Taegyeong have returned. What is the difference between the two Jesuses?
We're still in the practice stage, but I feel like Michael Lee sunbaenim's Jesus feels more like a friend. He mentioned that this season he wanted to show a more human side. So when we practice, I feel those parts and there's a closeness to it. I think Im Taegyeong sunbaenim's Jesus feels a little more divine. Rather than a friend, he feels like a teacher or a father.
Tumblr media
It's been 50 years since this work was shown to the world for the first time. Yet the modifier of "unconventional" always seems to follow it even now.
Actually, I had never seen this musical before, myself. It's being performed in Korea for the first time in 7 years, and there aren't a lot of videos. I had only heard of it indirectly, and the reviews of audiences who saw it in the past were quite cutting. People say it's very serious and can be very polarizing, and due to the fact that it's all sung-through people could get bored, and as a rock musical the songs can be unfamiliar. I was also very nervous when practices started, but everything was a lot more fun than I expected.
In particular, I think there are a lot of reviews that say it can be polarizing.
I saw a lot of those reviews, too. But when it actually came down to doing it, it was very fun. Is that because I'm on the "liking it" side of the polarizing divide? (laughs)
Then please appeal to the audiences and tell them why you ended up liking it.
First of all, the development is very clear so the storyline progresses well on its own. The musical numbers are very convincing, as well. Seeing Jesus' more human side is very fresh and shocking, so it's not boring and has a lot of new charm to it. At first when people I knew told me they were going to see this musical, I, too, responded by saying "It's so polarizing, and it can be unfamiliar because it's sung-through." But now I say "Guys, this is so fun! You can expect good things from it," to people. It's a work that's snappy and full of charm.
Tumblr media
Have you ever felt, like your character, that you are being led by a fate you can't refuse?
With my personality, I tend to accept things rather than try to refuse them. Even when I'm exhausted, I tend to think that if I can just get through this time then things will get better later. So I don't think I've had very many times when I feel like things are so hard that I break down. I live happily and enjoyably. I like living.
Just because you say you're happy, I'm sure you've still had hard times. How do you get through those times?
Of course I have hard times, too. When that happens, I try to work things out in a good direction, and I think that someday things will get better.
You must have what they call a good mentality about things.
I do think that I do. I've never doubted it.
This year BTOB reached their 10th anniversary. And you're also in your tenth year of doing musicals.
My debut in the group and my debut in musicals were just about a year apart. I've been doing musicals since I was 23, and back then there were a lot of things that were hard. Because I was young and an idol, I got a lot of various attention, and because of that I felt a lot of pressure to do a better job. Now I'm finally in the hyung line! [Someone with relatively more experience who is relatively older.] As I've been consistently working, now there are more people junior to me, so I'm a lot more comfortable now. I've always been the style to be less reserved with people younger than me. And now that I can work again with actors and staff I've already worked with, the practice room has also become more comfortable and I feel like I can try doing more new things.
When you look back, what is the most memorable period for you?
The thing that comes to mind the most is the practice room for my first musical, "Monte Cristo." I remember being so nervous I was shaking like a leaf. Back then I played Albert and Im Taegyeong sunbaenim played the Monte Cristo role with me, so I was so happy to see him again this time. It had been a long time, but I was so thankful that he greeted me so happily.
You've been consistently appearing on the musical stage. What kinds of charms do musicals have that they keep leading you to the stage?
I think the best thing is that through a musical work, you can live as various different people. I don't think I could really perceive it clearly until now, but this time thanks to this work I could strongly feel it. I thought "Wow, the works I've done up until now were really amazing." The thing that played the greatest part in leading me to realize that was Director Hong Seunghui, who is directing this time. The director always tells me to do things the way I want to, and asks me how I feel about each scene. The director tells me to follow my emotions and move the way I feel. I think I was able to immerse myself more in the role when I practiced because I was able to fully become Judas. So with this musical, I think I felt the good points of musicals even more.
So when you approach your character, what point do you start from?
Of course with each character you have to show a different side of yourself, but at first I work hard to find things that go well with me. When I look at myself, the nice way of saying it is that I have a strong identity, and the not-so-nice way of saying it is that I am a person who sticks out a lot. Because Seo Eunkwang is that kind of person, I think that if I only try to match things generally without melding more thoroughly, then I can't blend with the character well. So I try to find and bring out the most Seo Eunkwang-like parts of myself.
So then of the characters you've played so far, who was the most Seo Eunkwang-like one?
The character who fit me best was Nick Bottom from "Something Rotten." I barely had to add anything. I didn't need to immerse myself, he was just me so it was very easy. However, the tap dancing and other dancing, as well as the large amount of lines I had to memorize did make things harder, but when I think of the character it was so much fun. I think it might have been the only work I've done that was that comfortable for me.
Tumblr media
With this work, you've achieved a dream of yours. What's your next goal?
I want to try something really shocking. Like Lola in "Kinky Boots."
You always have precise goals. And it seems like your goals are designed to challenge yourself.
I think you should always make goals for yourself. You need to have goals in order to prepare thoroughly and make progress. It's not just for musicals, I can only grow as a vocalist and singer when I make goals for myself, as well. And I always like a challenge. That's more fun, and I think I'm more proud of the result, as well.
Is that the reason that you appear on so many singing competition shows, too?
I went on a lot of them for that reason, but to tell the truth because of that I've been considering things a lot. I feel like I've been showing myself too much lately, and now maybe it's time to take a break for a bit. I asked my vocal teacher about these worries, but my teacher said "Eunkwang, you need to do these in order to grow." A person like me has to make goals and run towards them, as my teacher also knows. In order to even reach the general ballpark, I have to set clear goals and move towards them.
You're the kind of person who whips yourself into shape, I guess.
That's right, that's how I live. That can be my driving force. When I hear compliments, it feels nice, but it doesn't really help me to improve. So I also seek out negative comments. It lets me know what I need to work on. If it's not a helpful comment, I do pass it by, but for some negative comments I feel like if I can take them in, then I can make it so that I won't hear those comments anymore. I try to use them in a positive direction. When I do musicals, I look for a lot of audience reviews. I really look at everything. Be careful, everyone. (laughs)

You'll reach your 10th year anniversary of being a musical actor next year. What kind of musical actor do you want to be remembered as to audiences?
I want to be a truthful actor. An actor whose sincerity can be felt on every stage. And I want to continue to show my growth in the future. Of course I will continue to work hard and do my best. Since I'll continue to stand on stage and pour my heart into it, please continue to support me. And I'd like it if a lot of people could get good energy from me. As someone who is living through this time, I want to show that I'm living my life to the fullest. Let's all live the best we can.

It’s your birthday today.
Specifically your 50th birthday.
My 50th was last summer. I can’t believe we’re this old. And yes, I do count this as your age even though you are no longer on this earth or suffering in an aging body lol
I haven’t been doing well mentally. You’d think it would get better after nearly 3 years since losing you, but nope not really.
We didn’t even talk every day or anything when you were alive… but I ALWAYS was thinking of you.
I’d see something interesting and want to tell you about it, or want to brainstorm a fun idea for us to do when we got together, or have some memory that would come up that I absolutely needed to talk to you about. I had plans for us! I wanted to save up money and (once your kiddo grew up) drag you on girls trips with me. We were supposed to be old farts together.
I still feel cheated, and I will never get over this. I just have to keep trying to cope I guess, what else can I do?
I hope there is a heaven and you are happy there, and that it’s everything you dreamed. I hope you can see this, and know how much we love and miss you.
I hope you’re having an amazing birthday 💖💜💖

Christmas - Mama Merry Christmas to all!!! In December 2010, 13 years ago Christmas time I wrote a song called "Christmas Minus Mama". Our Mother passed in 1998, 25 years ago. I had told Dennis about this song but never got to play it 4 him. In August 2010, I recorded my latest songs with Dennis when I came to visit for my 50th birthday, 4 months before this song's birth. There's a line in the song that relays, "2 make the family smile & the brothers 1, which is now even more moving 2 sing since Dennis' passing. At 1 point of our illustrious career, our older brother Daryl suggested himself managing the band & thought a new band name he had in mind would b the ticket, "Brothers 1". 13 years after writing it, I finally recorded this song yesterday afternoon in 4 hours at DB Nation Productions in Portland, Oregon with Sean Gilles co-producing. Credits : Jimmy Flemion : Vocals, backing vocals, acoustic, bass, electric guitars & keyboards Sean Gilles : Drum programming
Thanx 2 Sean Gilles who did an amazing job, everything went smoothly & just fell into place
Miss u Mom, Miss u Dennis, Miss u Dad Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!! ❤️ Jimmy
Christmas Minus Mama Written by Jimmy Flemion 12/25/2010 Copyright Tangerine Rabbit Music (ASCAP)

Mama how u r Mama how r u? Mama how is God? What would Jesus do?
Christmas is not the same Since mama left this world Down on my knees I pray Since mama left this world There's nothing left 2 say Since mama left this world
I'll fly a plane up to heaven 2 bring u back this Christmas 2 make the family smile & the brothers 1 again

Today’s reading from the ancient books of Proverbs and Psalms
for may 8 of 2023 with Proverbs 8 and Psalm 8, accompanied by Psalm 50 for the 50th day of Astronomical Spring, and Psalm 128 for day 128 of the year (with the consummate book of 150 Psalms in its 1st revolution this year)
[Proverbs 8]
Isn’t Lady Wisdom calling?
Listen; don’t you hear the voice of understanding crying out?
She’s taken her stand at the highest place in the city,
at the crossroads where everyone can see her.
There, and at the gates, at the entrance to the city,
right in front of the city doors she cries out:
Lady Wisdom: O people! I am calling to you;
I have a message for all humanity.
You gullible people, acquire insight.
You naive ones, cultivate a heart that truly understands.
Listen, for I am about to tell you of unparalleled excellence and beauty;
what I am about to say will set things right.
I will only speak the truth;
I despise evil, so it will not pass through my lips.
Everything I say promotes justice;
not one word is crooked, and nothing is distorted.
Each and every word is straight talk to perceptive people,
upright and honest to knowledge-seekers.
Accept my correction as being more valuable than your prized possession,
authentic knowledge more valuable than pure gold.
You see, no gem is more precious than Lady Wisdom—
your most extravagant desire doesn’t come close to her.
Lady Wisdom: I make my home with prudence;
I obtain knowledge and sound judgment.
If you respect the Eternal, you will grow to despise evil.
I despise wretched, vile talk
and ways of pride and arrogance.
Good counsel is mine, and also true wisdom.
I am understanding, and strength belongs to me.
It’s because of me that kings wield power
and authorities decree what is right.
It’s because of me that leaders and their agents govern
and all judge according to what is right.
I love those who love me;
those who search hard for me will find me.
Riches and honor are the benefit of following me;
so are lasting wealth and justice.
My reward is better than gold, even the purest gold;
and my profit is greater than the highest quality silver.
I follow the way of right living.
Follow me along the path to find justice;
I’m ready to meet those who love me, bestow true riches upon them,
and fill up their lives until their treasuries overflow.
The Eternal created me; it happened when His work was beginning,
one of His first acts long ago.
Before time He established me,
before the earth saw its first sunrise.
I was born before the deep existed,
before any springs poured out their water,
Before the mountains were placed on their foundations,
before the hills rolled across the land—
yes, before all this, I was brought forth.
When the earth was yet unformed and the fields were not yet nestled beneath the wind—
even before the first dust of the earth—
When He created the heavens, I was there.
When He drew a circle in the deep, dividing the oceans and the sky, I was there.
I was there when He established the sky.
I was there when the springs in the deep were fortified;
I witnessed Him lay down the shore as a boundary
and put limits on the water
And determine the foundations of the earth.
All this time I was close beside Him, a master craftsman.
Every day I was His delightful companion,
celebrating every minute in His presence,
Elated by the world He was making and all its fine creatures;
I was especially pleased with humanity.
So now listen to me, my children:
those who live by my ways will find true happiness.
Pay attention to my guidance, dare to be wise,
and don’t disregard my teachings.
The one who listens to me,
who carefully seeks me in everyday things
and delays action until my way is apparent, that one will find true happiness.
For when he recognizes and follows me, he finds a peaceful and satisfying life
and receives favor from the Eternal.
But heed my warning: the one who goes against me will only hurt himself,
for all who despise me are playing with fire and courting death.
The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 8 (The Voice)
[Psalm 8]
For the worship leader. A song of David accompanied by the harp.
O Eternal, our Lord,
Your majestic name is heard throughout the earth;
Your magnificent glory shines far above the skies.
From the mouths and souls of infants and toddlers, the most innocent,
You have decreed power to stop Your adversaries
and quash those who seek revenge.
When I gaze to the skies and meditate on Your creation—
on the moon, stars, and all You have made,
I can’t help but wonder why You care about mortals—
sons and daughters of men—
specks of dust floating about the cosmos.
But You placed the son of man just beneath God
and honored him like royalty, crowning him with glory and honor.
You ordained him to govern the works of Your hands,
to nurture the offspring of Your divine imagination;
You placed everything on earth beneath his feet:
All kinds of domesticated animals,
even the wild animals in the fields and forests,
The birds of the sky and the fish of the sea,
all the multitudes of living things that travel the currents of the oceans.
O Eternal, our Lord,
Your majestic name is heard throughout the earth.
The Book of Psalms, Poem 8 (The Voice)
A note from The Voice translation:
This Davidic psalm based on Genesis 1 celebrates not only God’s majesty as Creator but also the unique place of human beings in His creation.
[Psalm 50]
A song of Asaph.
The Mighty God, the Eternal—God of past, present, and future—
has spoken over the world,
calling together all things from sunrise to sunset.
From Zion, that perfectly beautiful holy place,
shines the radiance of God.
Our God will come, and He will not enter on a whisper.
A fire will devour the earth before Him;
the wind will storm wildly about Him.
He calls heaven above and earth below
to assist in bringing judgment on His people.
“Gather up those who are aligned with Me; bring them to Me;
bring everyone who belongs to Me who have made covenant sacrifice.”
And the heavens shout of His justice,
for He is the True God, an honest judge.
[pause]
“Listen, My people, I have something to say:
O Israel, My testimony comes against you;
I am God, your God.
I am not going to scold you because of your sacrifices;
your burnt offerings are always before Me.
I will not accept the best bull from your fields
or goats from your meadow,
For they are already Mine, just as the forest beast
and the cattle grazing over a thousand hills are Mine.
Every bird flying over the mountains I know;
every animal roaming over the fields belongs to Me.
I would not come to you if I were hungry,
for the world and all it contains are Mine.
Do you really think I eat bull meat?
Or drink goat’s blood?
Set out a sacrifice I can accept: your thankfulness.
Be true to your word to the Most High.
When you are in trouble, call for Me.
I will come and rescue you,
and you will honor Me.”
But to those acting against Him, God says,
“Who do you think you are?
Listing off My laws,
acting as if your life is in alignment with My ways?
For it’s clear that you despise My guidance;
you throw My wise words over your shoulder.
You play with thieves,
spend your time with adulterers.
Evil runs out of your mouth;
your tongue is wrapped in deceit.
You sit back and gossip about your brother;
you slander your mother’s son.
While you did these things, I kept silent;
somehow you got the idea that I was like you.
But now My silence ends, and I am going to indict you.
I’ll state the charge against you clearly, face-to-face.
All you who have forgotten Me, your God, should think about what I have said,
or I will tear you apart and leave no one to save you.
Set out a sacrifice I can accept: your thankfulness.
Do this, and you will honor Me.
Those who straighten up their lives
will know the saving grace of God.”
The Book of Psalms, Poem 50 (The Voice)
[Psalm 128]
A song for those journeying to worship.
Those who stand in awe of the Eternal—
who follow wherever He leads, committed in their hearts—experience His blessings!
God will use your hard work to provide you food.
You will prosper in your labor, and it will go well for you.
Your wife will be like a healthy vine producing plenty of fruit,
a spring of life in your home.
Your children will be like young olive shoots;
you will watch them bud and bloom around your table.
Such are the blessings the Eternal lavishes
on those who stand in awe of Him!
May the Eternal continue to pour out His love on you,
showering down blessings from His holy mountain, Zion.
May you see Jerusalem prosper
all your days.
May you have the privilege of seeing your grandchildren as they grow.
May peace flourish in Israel!

Born on June 23, 1958 in Haeundae-gu, Busan Metropolitan City [6], when he was preparing for his debut, his real name 'Lee Young-chun' was unconventional, so he thought of a stage name, but he wanted to become the best singer lik너는 방과 후 인섬니아 다시 보기 1화~13화 (자막)e Na Hoon-ah, and he wanted to be a singer like a boxing round. I named myself Na Undo, which means to live hard in the round, but the manager said that 'Undo' was okay, but it would be difficult to succeed because the surname 'I' was not good, so he suggested that we study other surnames. [7]
His son Lee Yoo (real name Lee Seung-hyun) debuted as a member of the idol group Pokerz in January 2010, but later withdrew. After that, from October 2013, under the stage name Lumin, as the 7th member of the 6-member idol group Empire, he resumed activities from the 2nd single. He was assigned to 너는 방과 후 인섬니아 다시 보기 1화~13화 (자막)a battalion of the division and was discharged on August 13, 2018. His son's attitude towards eating sweet pumpkin became a hot topic.In the beginning of his debut, he had been active with long hair like this. He is a representative singer-songwriter in the trot world. He composed hit songs such as 'Samba Woman' and 'I Only Loved You', and there are numerous cases where fellow singers received Seol Undo's songs and made them hits.[8] Meanwhile, his spouse Lee Soo-jin works as a lyricist, and many 너는 방과 후 인섬니아 다시 보기 1화~13화 (자막)of Seol Undo's songs were written by Lee Su-jin. The lyrics for his 2nd hit song 'Woman Girl Girl' was the beginning, and the story was revealed in Radio Star, where he appeared with Jang Yoon-jung. When Lee Soo-jin wanted to work as a lyricist, Seol-woon also said that he knew how to compose and became close.
In the past, I was often called on Sunday nights to do comedy acts. When reproducing 'Beauty and the Beast' in Cinema Heaven, the beast played the role of a prince after the magic was broken [9], and in TV Life Theater, he played the role of Lee Hwi-jae's evil boss.
On February 10, 2016, in the Lunar New Year special program 'Voice of God', he sang Yoon Hyun-seok's LOVE, a song that was unfamiliar to him, and received praise for his excellent performance that struck the back of the people who u너는 방과 후 인섬니아 다시 보기 1화~13화 (자막)nderestimated Seol Un-do's singing ability.[10 ] Since then, he has demonstrated that class by appearing in various music-related programs such as Maritel and Duet Song Festival.
On December 24, 2016, he appeared as a special guest on the radio drama KBS stage, the longest-running program in Korea. KBS Stage My Original (Video from 1:00)
After participating as a judge in the 3rd contest of King of Mask Singer, I participated in the 47th contest of King of Mask Singer in 2017 as a funny jjambbong. In the first round, when he was annoyed, he sang Ahn Sang-soo's 'Forever Me' against Jajangmyeon and won, and in the second round, he sang너는 방과 후 인섬니아 다시 보기 1화~13화 (자막) Kim Jeong-ho's 'Nameless Girl' passionately and had a close match with his opponent Yong-man, Hello in the semi-finals, by 5 votes. The judges' reactions were so good that after taking off their masks, they sang Kim Hyun-shik's 'My Love, Beside너는 방과 후 인섬니아 다시 보기 1화~13화 (자막) Me', a preparation song for the 3rd round, and came down. He revealed that he appeared because he wanted to break the age prejudice, and in the contest that day, he participated in the contest only with songs of other genres, excluding his main specialty, trot. Most of the online reactions were also favorable, and they were very sorry for his defeat. After that, he participated again as a judge in the 50th and 84th contests.[11]
On May 22, 2019, he appeared as a guest on Channel A’s liberal arts program Happy Morning.
In 2020, Hidden Singer 6 Chuseok special broadcast, appeared as the 8th original singer.
