I’ve been reading this Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD novel that I found sitting in someone’s trash (lol) on a walk a little while ago. And I’m like halfway through it but I still cannot stop thinking about this description of Fury from the second chapter

the writer was like damn, gotta remind my target audience of teenage boys how unexpectedly pliant and soft-to-the-touch Nick Fury’s body is while he straps himself into a fighter jet, that’s so integral to this scene where he’s just getting into a fighter jet, also of course his lucious hair

#thanks to this like also now whenever I update my girlfriend on what’s going on in this book (ie what new stupid danger Nick Fury is in) #she responds ‘he’ll be fine. he’s Nick Fury. he has a supple body.’ and it gets me every time #hannah is talking #oh ALSO the events of this book (written in the late 90s. published in 2000) concern hyrda hijacking civillian planes and crashing them as #an act of terrorism and I was like damn that’s a pretty haunting coincidence for a book written right before 9/11. but then I learned that #the author is a long time ‘professional’ psychic who teaches remote viewing courses and uses this book as evidence in the claim that he had #predictive psychic visions of 9/11. so. that’s completely insane lol #like his author bio in this book and earlier books of his talk about him being a psychic and then 9/11 happened a year later ..

#i have. been less Intensely Christmas Sad but more conscious of a future anniversary so i'm sort of #idling in a very nostalgic but not inherently evil spaced-out sort of space lately #''hannah does it get easier?'' It jumps around year to year. Nothing seems to correlate to this but some years it's really hard and #the only thing I could really think about was them not being there/missing out.
