Did I start a series called Halloween Media of the Day and the completely abandoned it after day 1 or was that just my imagination?

hi emma! i miss the boys but willy the most atm, do you have any favorite game or interview moments of his?
hiiiiii there... can't believe how long this summer is going to feel without them tbh. BUT MISSING WILLIAM NYLANDER HOURS? okay, i got you.
one of my favorite willy vids is his leaf to leaf with jt from last year. he's just so.. chill and open and happy there idk. his laugh gets me, and it's the same in his older leaf to leaf with auston. i also love the one with zach hyman from covid times and getting to see him laidback in his own space. and then... more recently.. i have revisited the bunting and willy tim hortons drive through content 489324923 times to cheer me up. also for more serious but interesting conversation, i've loved what the leafs have done with their 3 course conversations and willy's swedish menu one was interesting!!
if you want some older days stuff, there's his 20 questions with kasperi kapanen from when they were on the marlies... that was my intro to their dynamic and i love it. (and the 20 questions from the year before that is good too.. he's just a young baby giggly cherub imo) (also peep this willy + pasta interview from back in the day... it's fascinating to dig into the old connections imo) and here's an old compilation of him laughing :') i'm sure there are fancams and vids on twitter of him, but i'm TERRIBLE at keepign track of and sorting media on twitter, my bad.
and then maybe my favorite willy video of all time bc i'm not immune to cute happy children is that iconic interview with his dad where he's in the bg squirming around and knocking shit over and laughing... cutest thing i've seen in my entire life EVER.
if you're looking for more hockey stuff, here's a fun fanvid abt his career highlights up until last year (and how bitchy ppl have been abt his career only for him to prove his worth over n over), and then here's a recent compilation of all his highlights from this year... get to relive his hockey skill and pretend like we're still watching him play. it's a crime that we're not.
anyway, hope any of that helped or cheered you up. i hate how every leaf goes dark during the off season, but i totally don't blame them. if worst comes to worst, i also scroll through their igs/twitters and just google search them or look through blogs who have them as favorites. it's rough out here missing hockey players.

Welcome to a series of posts I like to call
🎃Halloween Media of the Day🔮
Every day for the month of October, I'm going to review a piece of Halloween related (or just autmn vibe) media. It could be a book, movie, or literally anything else!
Spoiler warning!
Today's film:
The Conjuring 2! Gods, I love this film!!
You might ask why I started with the second part. It's because it's the best one. Periodt.
I usually don't get scared of movies easily, but the beginning of this film gets me every time, especially when it cuts to the Hodgson family. The build up of scares is relatively fast and I like that a lot.
Enfield in 1977 has an atmosphere that just gets me, it's almost relatable. I could recognise my childhood home in that house. Well, before it gets absolutely nuked by demons that is.
The second part and the climax are intense in a... kind of hilarious way, but it's way more charming than annoying, so it's forgiven for that. The end is honestly really satisfying. All of the characters are likeable. Throughout the story you really get to feel for this working class family and want them to finally get some peace.
I can't say much about the technical things, because I have no clue at all, but I genuinely enjoyed the cinematography whenever it got a bit creative, like having a one-shot scene or exaggerated angles.
The real story behind this is... well, a bit suspicious. Ed and Lorraine Warren were sharlatans for the most part. The Amityville Haunting was fake. And the Enfield Haunting, the one this movie is based on, is sketchy at best. I'm a believer. Like, as much of a believer as you can get, but even I have my doubts about the whole thing.
That being said, it does make for a fun story that totally gets me into the ghostly Halloween mood.
All in all,
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
4/5 moons

i deadass skipped halloween this year lmao. it's such a fucking bummer when you're alone and nothing related to the holiday is any different than how i spend most of my free time or already dress lmao. hopefully next year but this year i've just been so depressed due to personal shit that i just want to skip to christmas music because i'm too tired to do the mash (🎶 the monster mash🎶). i feel like a bad goth but i just want to listen to some bells and think about toyland or some wholesome shit. 99% of my life revolves around horror and i think i have too many bad recent memories tied to halloween to enjoy the actual day. i celebrated spooky season as soon as it started and if you do christmas right it doesnt end until new years so i dont feel like i'm missing out on anything outside of just wishing i got to hang out with people in silly costumes which, again, is part of christmas if you do it right. today may be halloween to you

not to shill for tumblr or be a mobile user on main but i do just wanna point out i think the response to the dashboard clown thing is a little disproportionate, all things considered
like if you just dont like the show thats fine but the way some of these posts are worded very weirdly and acting like its somehow way worse than.....literally any of the other ads? like yea tumblr is a company and not your friend, netflix is unethical and sucks. but like. are we pretending tumblr hasnt had ads for like. horrible fad diets and the fucking trump coin and god knows what else but like this really isnt worse than like. the fact that ppl with strobing triggers are constantly endangered by the ads on this site.
and maybe its super bad on desktop or something but so far this ad campaign has actually been one of the less obtrusive ones vs their other ads, imo. I dont think ive really seen them in between the posts on my dashboard? (hard to tell bc I try to automatically ignore those anyway) but like it feels like most of this ad campaign has been. a little fictional character at the top of the dashboard. and like. a separate dashboard "tab".....that i dont have to look at, and i dont. and its fine. i barely even noticed it. i probably wouldnt have thought twice about it if everyone hadnt started complaining about it. if tumblr wants to do more ads that are just dashboard tabs that I dont actually have to look at and arent interrupting my main dash i think im fine with that actually. like. obviously no advertisements are better than ads but like i dont have a particular problem with the structure or honestly even the content of this ad. its for a show that i might be intrigued to watch honestly. but its also not being targeted to me personally based on data harvesting its just blanket targeting to everyone.
again, id prefer no ads, but if we're going have them: i would actually prefer it be for things i might be interested in, but without the data harvesting to do it. if i HAVE to see ads, this is a way that i dont mind as much.
