Mikey, Mitsuya, Koko & Izana with foodie s/o
Content warning: Just Izana being a little bit... extreme
Koko
~It all started when he took you birthday shopping. The two of you went to a mall and he told you to take anything you want and not look at the price, to which you hesitantly agreed. He expected to be dragged into a clothing or electronics shop. Whatever you wanted; jackets, shoes, bags, perfumes, headphones, games, or maybe, once you get more confident, a phone, tablet, laptop? Or even a tv?
~He got so lost in his fantasies it took him a few minutes to comprehend your current whereabouts.
~...A grocery store.
~Well, that’s fine. It’s completely reasonable that you’d want to do groceries. Duties first, pleasures second. Although he had to assure you that he’s more than happy to pay for your overflowing shopping cart full of sweets, snacks, cheese and other stuff.  He didn’t let you carry everything yourself, either. He insisted he carries at least 3/4 of them.
~Then the two of you went to get pizza. For that, he paid without even asking. Of course, it wouldn’t be good to shop hungry. And then a sweet dessert - ice cream!
~And when he thought that this is where the actual shopping trip starts, you said that you were done and thanked him. He looked at you as if you were insane. Surely, you must have been joking.
~But instead of saying “just kidding”, you asked him if there’s anywhere he wants to go. This man was so flabbergasted that he just shook his head and silently walked you home.
~It didn’t take him long to accept his fate and change his strategy, though.
~Instead of more “classic” gifts, he began to buy you food. And rather than to the shopping malls, he took you to some of the most recommended restaurants. Pretty chill about it too. Although only for as long as he gets to pay. He can get petty when you don’t let him. The two of you literally race to the checkpoint
~And no, you are not visiting McDonald's, KFC or such things. He’s willing to (respectfully) argue with you about that. Why would you even look at their trash-quality food, when he’s more than willing to pay for something healthier and tastier? *proceeds to wave his credit card in front of your face until you give up*
~If there’s a specific food you crave out of the blue, all you have to do is text him. He’ll order it for you. Hell, he’ll even order anything he sees advertised on the internet that he thought you might like, so don’t get surprised when you get random parcels delivered to your door.
~If you’re worried about your eating habits, he’ll suggest visiting a dietician and will even accompany you there. Won’t force you or stick his nose into your eating habits unless it’s clearly dangerous for your health, though. Most of the time he just supports every decision you make.
~Literally the definition of “Eat whatever you want, I can pay.”
Izana
~Okay this guy 100% loves to watch you eat. You can’t convince me otherwise.
~Like, imagine you’re casually enjoying your waffles and he sits right in front of you, staring at you, drilling holes into your soul with his gaze. Like this ◉_◉. He doesn’t even order anything for himself no matter how many times you ask him if he’s sure that he’s not hungry.
~Your boyfriend literally can get high on dopamine from watching you eat something you like. He doesn’t get bored. Each time the two of you meet, he just kinda gives you some kind of a snack and at this point, you don’t even question it, cause he’s gonna do it either way. The two of you start talking, he automatically extends his hand with a snack towards you and you automatically take it without missing a beat.
~The moment you split your food in half and offered it to him, he was so moved. In his mind, he swore to protect you forever. I’ve seen memes about girlfriends saying they don’t want anything to eat and then eat their boyfriend’s food. Which kind of resembles him because he’ll only eat if it’s from your plate. Can’t get his own for his life.
~I can clearly imagine a scenario where a gang fight occurs and all of the enemies get heavily beaten up except for that one guy who’s captured at the very beginning and then, at the end, they let him go with no more than a scratch, simply because he’s the son of the owner of your favourite sushi restaurant.
~At the same time, imagine what happens to the people whose food you dislike. Without a blink, he’d watch you eat something, and instead of the usual bliss he sees on your face, you frown and begin to slow down before hesitantly putting down the eating utensils. He’d ask you if anything’s wrong and after you reply that this dish is not really to your liking, he’d just smile and offer that you eat somewhere else. Then, the next day, you heard in the news that the very same restaurant burned to ashes during the night. The cause of the fire was unknown.
~Another time, he accidentally saw you out in the town with a friend. He just happened to be nearby and considered saying hello when he heard your friend complaining about you eating way too much. You didn’t seem to take it seriously, but a dark glint in his eyes appeared at that time.
~”I never had a problem with how much they eat…”
~Hopefully, you weren’t very close with that friend (._.)
~Lowkey the devil on your shoulder. He only means good, but he never really tells you no. If you’re thinking about whether to get something to eat, you don’t even have to look at him to know his advice. And if you can’t decide between two things, he’ll just get you both no big deal. Even if he’s aware that it might not be the best for you, it’s not like an additional portion of ice cream will harm you, right?
~He’ll even go as far as to rob a grocery store with his gang to get you a good supply of snacks. You might want to establish some boundaries with him. Just saying.
~Overall, wants the best, but tends to take things to the extremes.
Mitsuya
~Say no more.
~Actually, he’d cook for you almost each time you come to visit him even before he learns about your fondness for good food. And when he does? You got yourself a personal chef and no amount of insisting and resisting will get you out of this.
~Legit gets offended if you refuse to let him make you food and suggest eating in the town instead.
“Haaa? You’d rather pay for some stranger’s stuff rather than eat what your boyfriend prepared for you with love?”
~And it doesn’t matter that you only have the best intentions in mind and you don’t want to overwork him. He’s having none of that. If you really insist that you want to eat at some restaurant or worse- a fast food restaurant (!) he has no power to stop you. He’ll go with you, but he’ll be silent most of the time and will be glaring at you as you eat.
“I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed.”
~But the moment you finally break, and promise to always choose his food over others, he’s momentarily back to himself, apologising and cuddling the hell out of you. Overbearing, but he does it out of care.
~That’s where it ends though. He invites you to eat dinner with him every few days and sometimes makes you snacks, but the rest is up to you. He doesn’t really stick his nose into your eating habits. And he doesn’t forbid you from eating in restaurants either. He’ll straight out encourage you to try out new places, but that’s only as long as he’s not able to cook for you himself, probably due to lack of time.
~If he sees some occasional food trucks or other kinds of time-limited food stalls, he’s absolutely getting you stuff from there. He’ll probably get a little bit of everything so that the two of you can go back there and eat whatever you liked the most.
~And if he sees someone bothering you for your eating habits, he won’t hesitate to pull them aside and scold them or even start a fight if necessary.
~Will ask his friends and fellow gang members if they’ve been to any good restaurants/bars/cafes/food stalls or anything recently so that he can take you there later.
~Also, will try out even more new recipes and even has a little notebook where he writes down your favourite ones. Then, on some grand dates like anniversaries, your birthday or valentines, he’ll prepare little feasts entirely made out of your favourites.
~HOLD HIM FROM BEHIND AS HE COOKS. The first time you did it he froze and started blushing like crazy. He’d pin you to the wall and make out with you if he didn’t have milk on the stove.
~From there on, he usually demands that you do it each time you ask if he needs any help or feel guilty with how much effort he puts in for you. This is it, this is the payment. Bonus points if you nuzzle your face into his shoulder. It’s his favourite thing to make him relax.
~Compliment his cooking and he’ll be genuinely thrown off. It’s something which always manages to make his mind all hazy and the butterflies in his stomach spring to life. Don’t let him brush it off! Keep going to witness the great mitsuya takashi embarrassed and shy.
~All in all, LET HIM COOK
Mikey
I came up w/ this one while taking a shit
~I can literally see a whole love story forming there.
~Imagine you decided on a study break, went to some shop nearby and bought some snacks. Let’s say, a croissant or two. A full ass croissant with chocolate inside and stuff. And you go to the park to enjoy it. It’s late afternoon, you find a bench hidden in the shadow of some old maple and bon appetit!
~You were halfway in, when you noticed that someone sat at the opposite side of the bench. You glanced that way and saw a blonde who looked to be about your age. He was also eating, but it was dorayaki. Without thinking much about it, your attention shifted back to your treat. After you were done, you quietly left.
~Then, a whole week later, it was also around that time that you decided to have some air, went to the same store and this time, bought a box of cookies. Once again, you ventured into the park and soon noticed that the bench you occupied last time was once again empty. So you sat there and enjoyed your break.
~And again, the very same blonde appeared and sat nearby but with a different snack.
You were suddenly pulled out of your blissful state by the stranger’s voice.
“Can I have one cookie?” You turned to look at him. “I’ll give you pocky in exchange,” he noticed the slight surprise on your face and sent you a reassuring smile. “Is it too sudden? Sorry, but they just smell so good. Seriously, what flavour is this?”
“I think it’s because of the orange filling,“ you extended the box towards him as he moved closer to you. He took one cookie and offered you his pocky.
“Thank you! Now try this, it’s green tea flavoured.”
“Nice, thanks.”
~No more words were spoken and as you finished, you simply said your goodbye and left. But the next time you went there, he was on the bench already. When he noticed you, he waved you in greeting and another exchange took place, this time, you also had a little small talk. Then, the same situation kept repeating until the two of you sat right next to each other and chatted casually.
~Every few days, you headed to the bench, hoping to see him there. But after some time, it didn’t simply end on the bench hangouts. He’d ask you to go with him to that cafe you spoke so fondly about. Or the ramen restaurant he recommended.
~As you began to spend more time together, you exchanged numbers, began to text each other and even developed feelings. None of you could point out the exact time when you fell in love. It just felt so right when you were together, you soon began to officially date.
~Which brings us to this point. Seriously, you’re like twin souls. It is now a common occurrence for the two of you to exchange food or even steal each other’s. Literally imagine you and a few of his friends hanging out at his place and he looks through his drawers frowning for a while and finally asks “who took my limited edition strawberry taiyaki?” with a death voice. No one dares to breathe, but there you are, head peeking from the bathroom. “Oh, I ate it”.
~Everyone gets ready to hold Mikey down to at least give you a few minutes to run, but he just gets back to his normal mode and smiles. “Did you like it? I’ll buy more for you next time then.” And they’re absolutely bewildered. No, I will never get tired of this trope
~Food dates all of the time. Cafe, restaurant, bar, grocery store, name it and you’ll be going there. Especially if you’re too shy to go on your own. There is no such thing as ‘too much food’ in his dictionary. Eat to your heart’s content and if anyone dares to comment, we all know what happens.
~Totally the type to bring you some sweets and ask for cuddles, kisses and letting him sleep on your lap in exchange. But hey! You can do the same. Actually, you don’t even have to get him anything. He’s physically unable to say no to you even if he sometimes gets a little bit pouty, a few minutes later he doesn’t even remember why he was mad in the first place.
~Once you have dated for some time, he’s the type to ask you how does your food taste while you’re eating, and as you’re moving your plate towards him, it’s 50/50 whether he demands you to feed him or steals a kiss and then licks his lips and says, “it’s good.”
~The spoon feeding though. He wants you to feed him just as much as he wants to feed you. It makes everyone in the 10 metre radius look away. Especially if you happen to be hanging out with his friends. The moment you start, various groans and sighs can be heard all around you. But at the same time, they all have those little smirks on their lips.
~Their leader is smitten. Good for him.

I need you to know that your post about fnaf motifs genuinely has fed my brain more than like. Anything has in months. It’s so interesting. There’s something so specifically horrific about Chica’s filth to me, and the idea of seeing a dirty, oily pan with some blood in it is just…terrifying? I’m not sure. Really, it’s kept me up. And your ideas about Bonnie too…a cleaning/chemical motif is SO INTERESTING!! Aghhh I can just imagine the chemical burns on his suit and potentially just corrosion on an older Bonnie animatronic due to so much chemical exposure from cleaning…the cleanliness/filth opposition is just. Ugh. So good.
I was wondering if you had any other ideas for the other animatronics? When you mentioned you knew Chica was coming when you saw the cockroaches, it made me wonder for the potential of some of the other characters. It’s personally very inspiring to read as a video game writer/artist. I’m not sure why your post was so horrific to me, I can’t place why the specific kind of filth you described is so scary.
Of course!
Now, I really wanted to focus on the core four, because half of the fun of FNaF (at least for me) is seeing the same guys over and over again in new, weird ways.
So naturally, the different versions should focus on different aspects of those motifs, right?
Have one Chica be really focused on oil specifically. One focused on rotted food.
I can see a version of nightmare Chica that takes on some cockroach-like aspects of her design.
(I also want to point out Post Shift 2’s rendition of Chica, because it’s just *chef’s kiss*)
Tumblr media
(hell. a hazmat suit motif would work for a cleanliness-focused Bonnie, too.)
Other than the core four, though, I feel that the rest of the animatronics have either appeared too few times, or they’re too story-heavy to really stick anything on. But there are definitely some motifs in the series as a whole.
Namely, people getting stuffed into robots, and robots getting stuffed into people.
In FNaF 1 and 2, the main threat is the night guard getting stuffed inside an electronic-filled suit. In 3, you face off against a guy trapped inside a robot. And Sister Location dares to ask “what if the robots got stuffed into you?” with plenty of kids getting traditionally stuffed for good measure.
The “Fazbear Frights” books go completely off the walls with this, coming up with more and more ways for people to get trapped in the insides (and outsides) of automatons. Sometimes, they forgo animatronics completely in favor pure, raw machinery, but you can tell it’s still FNaF because some poor kid is still being jammed full of servos.
Another one of FNaF’s motifs is fire as a cleansing force— it’s a bit of a running joke that Freddy’s just has a predisposition to burning down. And I really do believe that this is a reflection of Scott’s faith.
Fire can be seen as a symbol of God’s presence— what better thing to wipe away such hellish abominations?
Now, if only we could get a flood after the fire… Imagine some charred, submerged automatons coming out to get you, barely holding on to their own lives!
And back to Chica and Bonnie— think about how much water speeds up decay. Think about how many chemicals shouldn’t be mixed with water.
So yeah. There’s some more FNaF brainrot for ya.

just for you
pairing: vernon x gn!reader
summary: how you got to be vernon’s lockscreen
word count: 630-ish
It’s one of the rare occasions when Vernon just has an entire free day so you both agree for him to stop by your place in the morning so you can spend a full day of lounging and lying lifeless on your couch together. When you hear his soft knock on your door, you rush to open it for him, your socks slipping a bit in your haste. As you let him in you see he has a small white bag in his hand, the label on the side revealing he’d made a recent trip to the electronics store. You silently point at the bag with a curious expression as soon as he sets it on your table.
“Just a little gift for you.”
“It’s not my birthday or an anniversary…” Your eyes narrow as you think of a reason for the present. He squints back at you to mock your suspicious expression. It’s not that Vernon only gives you things on special occasions, but he normally prefers to give you gifts when you’ve explicitly told him you want something, and you don’t recall dropping any sort of hints. You peek in the bag and gasp as soon as you see what’s inside. It’s a pair of headphones identical to the ones hanging on his neck, except yours are white while he sports a black pair.
“Damn,” the simple, yet effectively expressive word erupts from your chest. He snickers at the way you excitedly grab the box and examine every inch of it like it’s your greatest new treasure. “How’d you even know to get these for me.” You look up at him with wide and bright eyes.
“You literally complain about your current ones all the time. Plus, I know you like to sleep with music, and these won’t fall out as easily as your earbuds.” He moves to open the box for you. “The sound quality is insane, too—just listen. It’s like the instruments are in your ears.” As he removes the item from its packaging for you to test them, you get a sudden idea. Without a word you go half-run, half-glide to your room and return with a hefty plastic box.
“What’s that for?”
“Help me decorate them,” you say. You open the box to reveal neat, divided piles of charms, gems, and stickers. He raises an eyebrow at you but complies nonetheless, taking a seat beside you at the table.
The new Netflix show that you and Vernon had originally intended to watch is miles behind you now as the two of you listen to your shared playlist and stick on small hearts and cartoon characters to the large surface of the headphones.
It takes a while, for the two of you stop often to ask the other:
This one’s cuter if it’s crooked, right?
Should I break up the pink with some blue or keep it monochrome?
Does this cross rhinestone look too out of place?
When it seems adequately covered, Vernon holds them up, allowing you both to survey your masterpiece.
“Cute,” you smile, propping your head up against your fist as you lean on the table and declare a job well done. Vernon puts the headphones on your head, pushing a few hairs back in the process.
“Cute, indeed.” He grabs his phone and quickly takes a burst of photos before you can even think to stop him. You lean over to see the pictures he took, only to see him setting a picture to his lockscreen. It’s one from the second you realized he was snapping a photo, and you’re pouting in it.
“It’s time for yours now,” you joke and lightly kick his leg with your socked foot. To your surprise, he removes his headphones from their home on his neck and sets them on the table. “Vernon, I was kidding. We don’t actually have to do yours.”
“Oh, word?” he asks, laughing at his own misunderstanding. “Well, I kinda wanna do it, still.” You smirk.
“Ok so do you want Hello Kitty stickers or Gorrilaz stickers?” you question, already rummaging through the bin.
a/n: well. this is my first official seventeen fic post. as this is my first one it would be really appreciated if you left feedback (good, bad, or otherwise) either via reply, reblog, or asks! i hope you were able to enjoy this and i hope i can write many many more. xoxox

Gritty Danny Phantom Netflix Reboot
It's inevitable. Here's my pitch.
So obviously the title is ‘Phantom’. It’s reboot inevitably that it’s gonna be the edgy, one word version of the original title.
For tone, leaning a bit into the dark/horror elements and getting a bit worldbuilding heavy, but also trying to keep a fun action feel that’s not too scared to be silly. Obviously, with me writing, being ‘half-ghost’ is a lot about being a community outsider and a lot about going through something traumatic and feeling like the you from before is gone.
Characters:
Danny Fenton
In the main show, he’s a bit of an ‘everyman’, so I want to get a little more specific with him,
He’s supposed to be a huge nerd, but he doesn’t act that nerdy. He’s pretty confident and straight laced.
I like the idea of Danny as a character who, especially growing up with Jazz and his parents fighting, wants to keep everyone happy, even when it isn’t practical. He focuses on trying to get people to get along and not taking sides, even when it’s a bad idea. He often ends up trying to make peace between Tucker and Sam and pulling the ‘both sides have points’, even when one of them is clearly wrong. He goes along with his parent’s ghost hunting while not believing in it, and tries to convince Jazz to ‘be reasonable’.
In Phantom form, his actual opinions start to surface. He’s frustrated that people can’t just be nice, and frustrated at feeling like he’s always cleaning up other people’s messes. He’s free to be opinionated, aggressive, and take action for what he believes. On the flipside, Phantom is prone to making irrational, emotional decisions and following poor priorities.
Besides being caught between two emotional extremes, he’s physically and metaphysically ‘caught between’ living and dead. His ghost form feels unstable and insubstantial, but, in his human form, Danny is hyperconscious of his own death. His heartbeat and pulse feel wrong‘.
Sam Manson
So I think the trick with Sam is every CW/Netflix teen show’s attempts to write very political characters, especially women, is… very bad. Very surface and ham-fisted. First, instead of updating Mall-Goth to E-Girl, go for a crunchy goth/punk/grunge look, especially for a rebelling rich kid. Shoes held together with duct-tape, big jackets she wrote on in sharpie, but keep the stompy boots.
Avoid the whole ‘haha she’s going too far’ and vegetarian jokes, and give her some specific local politics to be involved in (that can help inform later plots).
As an ‘outsider’ teen activist, she probably doesn’t have many people her own age who don’t see her as weird and pushy, so maybe has an older group of acquaintances. Teen goth with phone contacts full of old activist ladies maybe?
She has a very strong moral compass, but is insecure about her own wealth and privilege and compensated by being a bit blind on certain issues. She can also be unempathetic to people’s personal circumstances.
Tucker Foley
The teen Cassanova bit gets a bit cringy, so first I want to change this from ‘hanging outside the girl’s locker room’ cringe to ‘oh no, this 14 year old just read a wiki-how article on how to be confident’ cringe. He’s sincere and good hearted, but much more of a teen boy trying to be cool and it just highlighting his insecurity. As the show goes on, he becomes more confident as a Teen Hero and stops trying to impress assholes.
He’s a tech nerd from a middle class family, so is an expert at working with the supplies he can get. He is also prone to going to ‘hang out with Danny’ and then ditching Danny and Sam to obsess over Maddie Fenton’s latest tech. All attempts to be cool are lost in the face of Neat Electronics.
Jazz Fenton
Pretty much the same situation as canon. Her parents are immature, so she’s decided she’s Danny’s parent, but she’s also a teenager herself and not as mature as she’s decided she is. She barges in to fix problems when it’s not helpful/wanted, but she is also the only reason Danny lived to age fourteen.
Maddie and Jack Fenton
Mostly the same as canon. They do everything 100%, and don’t always notice the world around them. Jack is pure enthusiasm, and tries hard to connect with his kids while utterly failing to notice that they have their own interests and lives. Maddie is a little more perceptive, but easily distracted by her passions.
The family has a decent fortune on a previous Fenton Thermos prototype getting sold as the next Hydroflask. It’s a super trendy, high-class thermos, and Jack and Maddie are endlessly frustrated that their money comes from their world-saving ghost capture device being used as an actual soup thermos. It also means there’s a handy yet unreliable ghost thermos around whenever the story needs it.
Vlad Masters
A lot of Vlad’s goals stay the same, but a slightly more serious tone means he needs to be a bit… less stupid. He’s just as manipulative and self-centered, but he’s a bit better at putting on a polite face to get what he wants.
His ghost form gives him powers, but, like Phantom, it’s much more emotionally volatile. Vlad will often carefully set the stage, only for Plasmius to ruin it all for a chance to get one over on Jack or impress Maddie. If Vlad is trying to convince Danny to work with him, Plasmius will lose his temper. If Vlad is trying to attack, Plasmius will fall to base emotional manipulation.
Valerie Grey
Like Jazz, I pretty much like what she’s already got going on. Get pissed, join the villain, become a reluctant ally as a super and a protective GF in normal life.
Some Major Shifts:
-Tucker and Sam are not initially aware of Danny’s death and find out mid-way through Season 1
-When the story begins, Vlad and Jack are already ‘reconciling’, and Vlad is present around the Fenton house
-The sci-fi elements of the world belong purely to the human realm. The ghost realm is dreamlike and magical, while things like portals and shields are human ways of interfering with the metaphorical and metaphysical.
-Speaking of which, Danny is less ‘gene-spliced half creature’ and more ‘dead ghost possessing his own living body’
-Danny takes longer to become a known presence, managing to keep hidden for most of the first season, then going from ‘legend’ to ‘oddity’ to ‘yeah, the ghost hero, we all know him’
Ghost Powers:Keeping some Phandom lore here. Since it’s not a kid’s show, most ghosts can be actually dead people with regrets. Also keeping ghost cores and Obsessions because it gives an excuse for weird, campy undead on wild missions. (cores - a ghost’s center organ, and also sorta their soul, Obsession - the tendency of ghosts to become wholly focused on their passions or regrets to the point or irrationality)
For Danny specifically, I’m switching from Magical Transformation to Astral Projection. Part of this is for tone shift reasons, but it also adds a few narrative levers. There’s a ticker timer for Phantom to return to his body as Danny could perma die and leave Phantom stuck as a ghost. It also leaves Danny’s body open to possession while his ghost is away. (On the helpful end, it means his body can rest while Phantom does the teen superhero thing)
Phantom is naturally invisible and intangible, but becoming tangible forces him to become visible and neither is easy.
In human form, Danny retains access to extra strength and healing and, eventually, his ice powers, but lacks most of his more ghostly abilities.
Other Worldbuilding Things
The Ghost Zone serves two functions. First, it makes a cushioned pocket between life and death so the realms don’t damage each other. Second, it gives a place for those not ready to move on to dispel regrets. It’s intentionally separate from the human realm because watching the living world tends not to dispel regrets. Concepts from the human world tend to ‘echo’ there, and there’s a second society that some ghosts choose not to leave, sustaining a second life in the Ghost Zone. Most of the non-dead entities (like Clockwork) that live there exist to protect the Zone and keep it stable and functional.
Besides moving on, the way to escape the Ghost Zone is ripping through the border. It takes incredible will, so is usually only doable with a very meaningful ‘unfinished business’. It also does extreme damage to the spirit, leaving them weakened and confused. Entities in the ghost zone also work hard to prevent this as weakening the borders could lead to the collapse of the entire Zone.
The Fenton Portal created a weakened spot between the Zone and the living world and Danny ripping through it turned the weak spot into a permanent gap. Ghosts can cross full without damage and at full power, even if their goals in the human realm are mundane. It’s the gap in the fence all the local teens know, and it can’t be patched.
Stylistic
This will get me eaten alive, but I like switching the jumpsuit for pajamas so the ghost form has kinda loose, simple clothes.
Overall, the show brings big budgeting issues. I like the idea of using underwater footage to get ghost movement and get that floaty look. The ghost zone in general, use everyday sets, but with a strong purple light and a teal kick light. Using sets from other things and taking advantage of the nature of sets to wander between locations in ways that don’t make sense is a plus, but shoots could be at night pretty much anywhere.
I also suggest using different locations for the same location, for example, shooting a scene at a ghost zone diner at various diners, even mid scene.
Romance Thoughts:
It’s the CW reboot. There’s got to be romance, but I’d prefer to keep it on the back-burner.
Personally, I think Danny/Val has that good ‘conflicting identities’ thing, and it’s a romance arc that isn’t obvious from page 1, which I like. Before that, I think Danny should have at least one tragic romance with a ghost.
Lesbian Sam feels stereotypically predictable, but I also enjoy the idea of shipteasing Danny/Sam before it’s revealed that Sam having a ‘crush’ on Danny has been a long series of misunderstandings as she attempts to hide her huge crush on Jazz.
Tucker gets an internet girlfriend who nobody believes is real for a solid season. They met getting into petty forum wars over an MMO they both play. Once he has a girlfriend, he switches from Casanova to just constantly bringing up his Girlfriend, Who is Real and Hot and Plays Video Games.
Episode 1: Origin Story
Episode opens with Danny clearly stretched too thin. Sam has managed to force Tucker hiking and wants Danny there too, Tucker wants him there for emotional support, and Jazz thinks Danny should stay home and work on homework. Danny has promised his parents he’ll join them on a ghost hunt. Sam, Tucker, and Jazz all point out that Danny doesn’t even believe in ghosts and he always lets himself get dragged into this stuff, while Danny insists this hunt is extra important to their parents.
It’s revealed that the reason for this importance is the Fenton parents reconnecting and reconciling with their college friend Vlad. Vlad is polite, but keeps subtly avoiding saying anything nice about Jack while paying attention to Maddie. (“It’s wonderful to see you again” vs “It’s been a while”) He brings gifts for the kids and asks about their lives.
Jazz is immediately taken with Vlad. He talks about her school life and seems polite and educated, an example of an adult who can handle himself. Danny is a bit more hesitant, pointing out that he doesn’t seem that happy to see Jack.
The Fentons excitedly show Vlad the new portal. Vlad makes an excuse to get everyone out of the room. Afterwards, he excitedly asks Jack to demonstrate the portal. (A later episode confirms he intentionally sabotaged the portal for revenge, but him getting people out of the room should be as plausible as possible so viewers can feel proud for putting it together). Before they can show Vlad, Jack rushes them out on a ghost hunt. He says the portal takes time to warm up
It’s a long, boring car ride. During the ghost hunt, there does seem to be an actual ghost. Danny keeps seeing glimpses of the haunting and is getting genuinely scared. The adult Fentons, meanwhile, are excitedly chasing various non-paranormal occurrences, certain it’s ghostly activity.
They come home late and Maddie insists the portal be left until morning so they can eat and get some rest. Danny decides to get online with friends instead. He realizes the computer won’t work because the portal’s on and tells his friends he’s going to go shut it down while he plays, then sneak down to boot it back up.
We see the ghost from earlier watching and static building on the portal. He reaches out to touch it and the scene becomes surreal. We hear Danny’s heart racing. Danny collapses and, at the same time, is pulled across the portal.
In the final shot, we hear dead silence, no heart beating, and Danny lying lifelessly on the floor. The camera pulls out and his ghost form floats on the other side of the portal, away from the body. He looks confused and frightened and, as the show ends, he’s pounding on the door.
Episode 2: The World Without You
Danny pounds on the wall between him and his body, panicking, and is pulled away by a female ghost (later revealed to be Ember). He’s angry with her, but she points to the guards coming to see what the disruption was about. She tells him he’d never make it through anyway, because he’s not angry enough.
She tells him that she’d never cross over herself, preferring to avoid the madness that comes with breaking through to the human realm, but his case is different. His body is still alive, and, if he returns, he could live again. She asks him what he’d regret if he died now, and Danny talks about his dreams to go to space. It’s not enough, so she attempts to get him angry, but it’s not working. He’s just sad and scared. Finally, she seems to have an idea.
They enter a ghost town and she walks him to an old-style theatre. There is only one movie showing, “The World Without You”. The ghost tells Danny everyone comes here at least once, even though it’s not anything good, but it might help him. She hands Danny his ticket and goes to wait outside. Danny sits down to watch the screen.
We cut to Sam and Tucker. Sam’s trying to text Danny to see what’s taking him so long and Tucker says he’s probably asleep. After an hour, Sam starts to panic, but Tucker points out he had a long day and keeps insisting fell asleep.
Jazz comes down in the morning and finds Danny dead beside the portal. She goes into fix-it mode, refusing to admit he’s dead. Maddie tries to force Jazz away and let the EMTs do their work, Jack looks confused and frightened, and Vlad looks shocked and a bit ill.
The scenes get faster and we see Danny’s community fall apart. Sam blames Tucker for saying it was fine, Tucker points out his death was instant and is sick of taking the blame. Sam runs away and Tucker loses energy for his passions. Jazz is furious with her parents, saying their obsession killed her little brother. Jack becomes obsessed with trying to contact his dead son, leaving Maddie alone to deal with the reality of death.
We cut back to the theatre. Danny sits in an audience of ghosts. All, including Danniy, are crying glowing green ectoplasm. He rushes out and towards the portal. He thanks his guide, and she smiles and tell him to ‘remember he owes her’
The same guards arrive, forcing Danny to fight his way past them. He makes it to the border between realms. Ripping back to reality seems even more violent than the fight, an act of rage against the unfairness of death. He goes to his body and attempts to line himself up with it, muttering hopefully.
There’s a pause and then we hear a strange, sludgy noise that isn’t quite a heartbeat. It speeds up, sounding more like a heart and more like static, building to a frantic roll, then stops again. There’s a single beat, then another, until there’s a strangely slow and shallow, but constant, heartbeat.
Danny’s eyes open with a gasp and glowing green fades to blue.

So far, we’ve taken a look at how the “rivalry” started, and examined it from both sides. But what did the fans of Pet Shop Boys and Erasure think of all this? Did they perpetuate the rivalry in their own fanbases? Was it even possible to be a PSB fan AND an Erasure fan?
Let’s start by answering that last question first: yes, it was totally possible. From the beginning, the two bands’ fanbases have crossed over, with plenty of fans of both. In the newsletters for both bands, fans of one duo often mentioned liking the other–for instance, in the “penpals” sections. This makes sense, as the duos offered many of the same things, which attracted fans who were into these aspects: synth-based pop music, fire-and-ice duos, cute English men, a camp aesthetic, the gay elements of their art, and theatrical stage shows.
From what I’ve been able to find out, their fanbases were mostly friendly to each other in the ‘80s. In fact, in many parts of the world, fans weren’t aware of the “rivalry” between the two bands. They didn’t have access to the magazines, newsletters, and videos that tracked the bands’ comments on each other. In some areas, it wasn’t even easy to find electronic music, which was an underground genre. If you were into that kind of music, you tended to like all the big groups from that genre, Erasure and PSB included.
So how did fans become aware of the “rivalry”? Often, it was through talking with other fans. This was made much easier in the ‘90s, with the new forms of telecommunication that were emerging. In this decade, mailing lists, fansites, and newsgroups were all created for the two bands, allowing fans to chat with each other–and to argue, too. The “rivalry” was indeed perpetuated by fans, and some thought it was also started by them. More on that later.
On media dedicated to Erasure, PSB came up frequently in discussions, as did the reverse. Depending on the platform, the tone of these discussions varied. For instance, on mailing lists, most mentions of the other band tended to be positive or neutral. There was the rare serious argument in favour of one band, but much of the sniping was done in good fun.
The same was true of fansites. One Erasure fansite, Onge’s Erasure Page, put out polls in 2000 and 2003 asking fans what their other favourite bands were; PSB were the second-most popular choice (the first was Depeche Mode). A PSB fansite, Commentary, put out its own survey in 2003 asking about a collaboration between the two bands. While nearly half voted that they shouldn’t collaborate, half voted that they should. The idea of a collaboration between the two groups had long been talked about in their fandoms. It also came up in Erasure’s Private Ear newsletter in 1997. In a joke article titled “The Future of Erasure”, fans gave their ideas as to what the future of the band could look like - including TWO Pet Shop Boys collaborations, one in 2005 and another in 2025.
However, on newsgroups, it was a different story. Mentions of the other band were more likely to be negative, and there were lots more inflammatory comments. Why was this the case? Newsgroups were much more public than mailing lists or websites, making it easier to start arguments. With mailing lists, they were moderated, and people had to sign up with their emails. But they didn’t need to do that with the band-specific newsgroups. Because these were under the “alt” hierarchy, which had no rules and no moderation, all people needed to do was to connect to Usenet and start posting. This made it incredibly easy for people who weren’t fans to post mean comments to a newsgroup based on a particular band.
By the end of the 2000s, the first social media platforms, like Twitter and Facebook, had started to gain traction with the public. People on these platforms have kept the “rivalry” alive by joking, jibing, and posting memes–and still do to this day. There was an interesting discussion about the fans’ side of the rivalry on Facebook, where some people suggested that it started with fans. Most said they liked both bands and they didn’t feel the need to debate who was better.
In the final segment, we’ll examine the denouement in the late 90s and 2000s, looking at the bands’ comments on the “rivalry” and each other after the animosity had died down.

Lewis understood what it was like to be the reason Nico's hair stood on end and the vein on his forehead throbbed, he enjoyed being the one to make frustration as well as excitement grip every inch of Nico's skin. He liked.
When Lewis arrived at that bar Nico was at after finding out about it from a damn paparazzi, he wasn't supposed to sit next to the dumbest blonde he'd ever met.
It didn't take Lewis that long and Nico watched the next minute become one of the most agonizing moments of that weekend for him.
Lewis's lazy body relaxed in one of the armchairs in the private booth on the other side of the gallery where there was only one, the opposite side was like the best seat one looks for in a movie theater.
Two chaperones dragged their barely covered asses towards Lewis, one on each side to keep him warm as if it were the worst of winters. Lewis never got his hands under them, they were too busy holding his head back.
“Rosberg?” Ricciardo hisses in Nico's ear and tears his light eyes, now dark, from the grim sight ahead. “Do you still want to go to the France GP on my plane? Sure Mercedes won't mind if you're on a plane with Red Bull and nothing else?”
Nico gripped his half-full whiskey glass, squeezing the glass a little too hard. faking a smile at Ricciardo, he offered a sadistic half smile.
“I'm not number one on the team anyway, Ric.”
It was hard to keep your eyes away and Nico gave himself vaguely, ok, almost always, to Lewis on the other side.
This time it was Lewis who was throwing glances at Nico, rubbing and teasing his reactions as he let himself be stroked, neck and cheek kissed by those women, his body comfortable as a king.
The top buttons of the Mercedes dress shirt Lewis was wearing were undone, his bare chest gently vibrating in a quiet breath.
One of the four hands touching him slid down, felt for a bulge in his pants and when he found the beginning of one, Lewis smirked at the thought that it wasn't about them.
Lewis loved competition and he loved to win. Lewis also equally loved the power he had over Nico Rosberg and in making him almost die of jealousy it also made him hard.
Nico had a nervous swing of his leg.
Lewis had a pair of swollen lips marking his neck.
Nico sank his elbow into the leather of the chair and did the same. With your hand in your hair, maybe pulling out a few strands without realizing it.
Lewis had his head thrown back, legs apart and... Fuck. That was a third escort arriving and stopping between your legs?
"Damn you, Lewis," this was Ricciardo again when he found the focus of Nico's attention. "He already tries to kill you inside the track, outside it isn't that an exaggeration?"
Ricciardo was right to exclaim like that because Nico's state was... deplorable.
Nothing would explain Nico drinking half a bottle of whiskey, ripping off his coat to accept the cold for his bare arms, developing every kind of shivering possible and well, ignoring daniel ricciardo's attempted jokes, just lewis hamilton being a cruel bitch in his front.
Nico tossed his things to Ricciardo and walked around the hall that led to the entrance where Lewis was standing.
The bastard was so distracted he didn't notice nico coming up and pulling out his own chair, Lewis had mouths everywhere he liked it but it wasn't Nico's.
He could feel the heat around him, the electronic music in the background but drowned out by the gallery, the dark and sensual environment covered in red lights. Maybe hell would be the most comfortable place in the world if it were made of low light and many mouths and Lewis wishes that the only touch he would receive besides the flames, were from Nico's body.
Only one saw Lewis tighten his fingers on the leather of the chair and wake up disturbed from his pleasure to caress the women who worked on his body, holding handfuls of hair of different types in their firm fingers.
Pulling one of them up, Lewis whispered something in her ear and saw her smile at the idea, the shaking of her head was her last act before getting up.
What Lewis hadn't realized was that Nico had the shadows for company, an addition to the full whiskey bottle that must have been a courtesy to Lewis.
Like a beast, Nico watched from closer Lewis pull the woman kissing his neck to his lips and the one between his legs, he gave the nod to a fucking blowjob.
Lewis's body squirmed as fingers smaller than his crawled over his belly and unzipped his pants, his white underwear showed and he knew he was ready for that treat and to make one...
Where was Nico? Like a child who has lost his favorite toy, Lewis looked up and didn't see the blonde, seeing only a smiling ricciardo with a bored charles beside him.
"Still here, Lew", an acidic mutter from the shadows and a lazy purr that only a german could have, this one was unique, lifting his wrist with the whiskey bottle not quite as full as before.
Possibly it wasn't exactly how it happened but when Lewis heard Nico's voice so close to his own, no more among the rooms and garages that clung, but in a bar shaped like hell, he saw his delicious man made of nothing less than shadows and contouring sensuality your familiar body.
It was like a damn demon ready to reach it. Nico had his knees apart, elbows dug into the arms of the chair, and unusually messy blond hair, tight black pants and a simple white T-shirt, and he looked meticulously troubled.
There were so many things that Lewis was good at and making himself comfortable with the situation was one of those things. it was easy to smile lazily, throw her head back and tease Nico some more.
"It's not like you're really going anywhere else, Brit," Lewis purred slowly, savoring the words with a noticeable click of his tongue.
The use of the nickname "britney" wasn't programmed, it wasn't like he used it when he wanted to pester Nico, it was endearing, maybe Lewis was a little disturbed too.
Coming back to life with a woman licking his cock wasn't one of the things lewis knew he needed to experience but it happened, the third to arrive had her hands on Lewis, bringing the tip of his cock to her lips and blowing on it before taking it back yes.
Nico took a sip of his drink. It was obvious that Lewis had other people, not that it was only his, but he had seen situations like that before, damn they shared people!
Damn Lewis for enjoying watching Nico stick his hands anywhere so they wouldn't end up on Lewis. there was no way to notice every second of that blowjob because the pleasure wasn't there, unfortunately it wandered more to the right, to a shadowed corner and a frowning blonde.
There was a laugh between them and only one knew it was Lewis pressing his fingers into the curly hair of the woman who was swallowing him, stimulating as he wanted. Nico got up, his bottle on the table next to the chair. His body ached a little but the alcohol was good at numbing him, so he let himself be carried away by what Lewis insisted on doing to him.
Nico's slow walk was that of someone who was about to eat madness, strolling along the sides of lewis, looking at his women, with a precise nod, Nico removed the two that he still thought were necessary and two pairs of heels ran away from there.
"Love, sorry to disturb", whispered nico in the ear of the woman with curly hair who was delighted with the cock of the man of her life. "What is your name?"
A second passed with Lewis looking at Nico with blurry eyes and the woman walking away from her duties.
"Stella" she replied husky as hell and an excited smile, a bit of lip gloss smearing even more across her face as she tried to wipe it off a bit to reply.
Nico stroked Stella's shoulder and then leaned down, keeping almost the same height as Stella, a few inches higher. Suddenly Lewis watched Nico fondle his roommate for the night, being a damn meticulous flirt in...
"Roll your lips like silk not satin. That's how he likes it."
Fuck, Nico was teaching what Lewis liked like he was giving brake tips. Lewis had his eyes so misty, nothing else glittered like Nico and he was glad of it. Squirming when Stella landed the first time, Lewis almost grabbed Nico's hair to encourage him to go deeper.
Nico's fingers gripped Stella's hair tightly as he noticed how Lewis' body reacted. Smiling without teeth, Nico had eyes in arrogant ribbons and so he did what lewis wanted to do: he was his guide.
Lewis saw his personal demon arch his back and imagine Nico's mouth every second. It was terrible to open your eyes and see Nico enjoying the seconds that Lewis was on the verge of calling his name, pulling him closer and burying himself in him.
Nico felt Lewis in every spasm. It was hard not to be touched, showing how stupid his pants were and how lewis' body possessing his was as close to heaven as he would get. should be unique. He should be the one to swallow his pieces and reassemble each one with the damn tip of his tongue.
One of Nico's hands helped Stella periodically while the other caressed Lewis's sensitive spots, scratching at his tattoos and teasing his parted lips until it was Nico's lips there bringing some relief.
When it broke into a thousand pieces, Lewis promised he would bring hell to the point where he was the only way out.
Being chased by Nico Rosberg will be the least of Lewis' worries. It will be the price he paid for being the one to put pieces of different games together and scream "fuck you" to the rules.
Stella looked pleased as she got up and received a nice tip from Nico, he explained it wasn't for work before she left.
"Don't misunderstand, love. But it seems to be in our games, patience and desire are hard to come by together."
Lewis was a mess but ready for one more if it was a specific pair of lips.
"Our games?" Questioned lewis with a tired half smile.
Nico shrugged, zipping up Lewis' pants before to get up.
"Did you think you were the only one to have the parts?"
The pants were in place after a few seconds, which helped lewis get up and glue his body to Nico's. Enough for him to reach the half-empty whiskey bottle behind them.
"The only thing neither of us have, Britney, are the rules."
And thank God for that.

Sick (Part 1/?)
This has been sitting in my drafts for a while now, but all of one (1) person asked if there was going to be a sequel to the original, so here you go. Hope you enjoy :)
*Also, I should mention that everyone is college-aged/above 18.
Warnings: Yandere themes, Peter being a creep and a stalker, kidnapping at the end.
Summary: In a world where everyone had forgotten him, Peter Parker has to deal with the aftereffects of losing you.
Pairing: Yandere! Peter Parker x Reader.
Prologue
Tumblr media
It was Christmas morning when you first noticed you had a stalker.
At the time, you hadn't really thought much about it. Walking out of your apartment first thing in the morning, you barely managed to avoid stepping on the neatly wrapped box that sat on your welcome mat.
You had assumed it was from a family member or friend, even when it had no name on it other than your own. When asked, though, MJ, Ned, and everyone else you were even semi-close to all seemed genuinely confused about where it came from.
Once again, you shrugged it off. It was something you had wanted for a while now, so even if it was a bit strange, you weren't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. It had clearly been addressed to you on a sparkly red and green tag, so it wasn't like you were opening someone else's gift.
But when Christmas ended, you began to notice other strange occurrences. Certain possessions of yours had gone missing, though you couldn't find any sign of a break-in. Several of your most-worn shirts had gone missing, as well as the body scrub you knew was only half-full.
None of your jewelry had gone missing, nor any of the electronics or the cash you kept stored around. Any of the obvious things someone would take from you remained. Considering nothing of actual value had been taken, it seemed ridiculous to assume someone was trying to rob you, but it was the only explanation you had. You were single, lived alone, and any friends you brought over never had the time to steal that many shirts. You swear you would've caught them at this point.
It's a month after that when you start to think you have a stalker. At first, you think you're being stupid again. It sounds stupid to even think that Spider-man of all people would be following you. He helps people, and you know this because, despite the video of him and Mysterio, he saved you.
It had been three times at this point. Once when you had gotten caught up in a fight at the Statue of Liberty; you couldn't even remember what reason you had for being up there, but you were sure it wasn't a good one. He had gotten you out of the way of a strange villain on a glider, and after that, all you remembered was waking up in your apartment the next morning.
A second when a villain had shown up right next to your work; Spider-man had been the one to show up, and had saved you from an incoming piece of debris.
The third seemed so minor compared to the rest but had solidified your opinion of him. You had been walking home late from work when a group of guys had attempted to rob you. Despite the late hour, Spiderman had been out and ready to save you. He even stuck around to walk you home, and you were surprised by how young he sounded while cracking jokes.
Which is why you were so confused now. You had seen him far too often now. You had tried to reason that he was a street hero, so it wasn't uncommon to see him swinging around the city, yet in the past four weeks, he's swung past your apartment over a dozen times and gone past your work even more. Sometimes you'll even swear you can even hear someone hanging around your fire escape late at night, despite you being on the sixteenth floor.
You had asked yourself countless times now why he would be following you of all people. You're just one civilian in a city full of people.
So why did you find yourself with a rag of chloroform over your mouth one night, only to look back and see a familiar red mask before unconsciousness took over?

Never Too Young To Die
Chapter 1: Family on Vacation
——————————————————————————
Moorpark College is the home of the Raiders and the bridge to the future where many students attend to be the best they can be in Moorpark California, a small but lively town in the state. Among these students is a fierce and stubborn but determined and kind hearted young man, currently studying during his second semester of his first year. Spring has begun and he, along with everyone else is preparing for not only final exams, but also sport competitions, musical performances, theatre shows, art showcases and much more.
“Alright Lance! Let’s do that routine now ok?” Trevor asked. Trevor was Lances instructor and had helped shaped him into the gymnast he is today. Lance stood out from the second he joined the college as he was one of the few male students who joined gymnastics, something most boys at school picked on him for. But his training was paying off and he has become more physically active and healthy than he was before.
As he practiced his routine on the trampoline, he noticed his two biggest concerns and their names were Barrett and Liam, two competitive wrestlers who loved teasing him more than anything. He completes his routine easily, ready to showcase it the next day.
“Good job man! I say that’s enough for the day!” His coach smiled at his student and Lance felt confident about his abilities. As he went to wipe off his sweat, he saw a young man standing outside the window. He was holding a device and waving excitedly at him and Lance simply shook his head amused. That was his best friend Cliff Gyro. He may seem awkward and talkative, but you can’t deny his enthusiasm, loyalty and especially his intelligence. As he left to head off to one of his classes, he saw Barrett and Liam blocking his way.
“Why don’t you try something more manly Lance? We need some new members on the team. It’ll be better than being stuck with annoying ladies.” Barrett joked. Lance was annoyed instantly but he wasn’t threatened.
“Maybe I will. Maybe I won’t. But if you judge me again, the wrestlers are gonna be needing even more players.” Lance warned, going under their arms and walking off. Barrett was ready to strike him but Liam held him back.
“Don’t man. Just let him embarrass himself.” Liam suggested. Lance heard and even though he doesn’t show it, he does felt uncomfortable by the amount of tormenting by those two. But it turns out that was the least of his problems.
——————————————————————————
Lance got out of the building with his gym bag and backpack, finished with his exam after weeks of worrying. He saw Cliff waiting by their bicycles and fist bumped him.
“That’s the last one man and we’re home free!” Cliff cheered and they rode their bikes down the track to the dormitory nearby.
“Thanks again man! That watch thing worked like a charm!” Lance complimented. He was gifted a watch where Cliff was able to send messages to him from his computer. Even though they both were good students, sometimes life gets in the way of studying so they worked out a system together with their watches to give each other answers and Cliff was the true mastermind behind the idea.
“I keep telling you Lance! My inventions are for real! They work!” Cliff exclaimed.
“Speaking of inventions, what’s that new thing you got up at the dorm? It smells like gasoline.” Lance asked.
“Glad you asked! I’ll show you! It’s almost done!” Cliff answered excitedly. They took the path down to the closet dormitory at the campus. They had a room big enough for two of them. Cliff’s half was clean and neat, everything organized perfectly and full of electronic and digital equipment. Lances side however was more cluttered and disoriented, posters of athletes and comic books on the wall. They both had posters of their favourite bands on the wall such as Kiss, Motley Crüe, and unapologetically ABBA. They were hard rock lovers and secret disco fans. Cliff ran over to his side of the room and pulled out a large gun from under his bed and plopped it on his desk.
“This is the Pyroblaster. I combined with explosive laser, slang and some petrol. One shot out of this baby and it could blow up the whole room!” He explained as he started polishing it.
“Mind if I test it out?” Lance asked jokingly, going to grab it but Cliff snatched it away.
“No crazyhead! You’re begging to kill yourself if you do you goof!” Cliff answered, putting his contraption away. “But you can have my bubblegum bugging device instead.” He added and Lance smirked at his friend
“Actually I think we’re done with those gadgets for a little while. Cause we don’t need these anymore!” Lance shouted excitedly, ripping their class schedules off their board and they high-fived instantly. “You gonna be there for my routine?”
“Of course man! Don’t listen to those pricks. They’re just jealous they’re not as daring as you.” He encouraged, receiving a slight blush from him.
“Aw Cliff you spoil me.”
“You know, all for one and one for all? Ever since we were kids man.” They both fist bumped again before Lance looked at a package near Cliffs computer.
“What’s this?”
“Oh your dad sent it to you. And your sister. He’s still out there trouble shooting for companies?”
“What else? I don’t have a flying clue what he’s doing lately and it’s kinda getting on my nerves. I don’t know if it affects Sapphire though or not.” Cliff looked at him sympathetically. He knew that Lance and his father had a rocky relationship and did his best to support him. “But he did said he’ll be here for my routine so that’s a good sign right?”
“Yeah that’s awesome man! He’s gonna see you at the Gymnastics Meet!”
“Yeah I guess so.” Cliff gave him a huge hug and Lance looked over at a photo of his father Drew, mother Gabrielle and older twin sister Sapphire, 10 years ago. His relationship with his father was rocky after he started leaving to work after their mother had passed away and Lance only wanted to see him once again to watch him win. One could only hope.
——————————————————————————
Deep in the Diablo Canyon, Drew brought his soldiers through the facility. This was the location of Velvets current attack and where her troops were waiting on him.
“Alright men. Let’s hurry. I got an appointment after this.” Drew ordered. His men included Carruthers, mysterious and dangerous, and Ronan, goofy but an intelligent strategist. “Please it’s for my son.”
“You never talk about them. So what’s our plan here pal?” Carruthers remarked.
“Gonna flush out Ragnar. He’s bound to be down here.” Drew explained
“Don’t see how this is a problem to the city.”
“Well would you like to drink contaminated water?” They reached a wall and Ronan laid out an explosive, breaking a hole to help them get through. They trenched through the new pathway for a long time, Drew leading the way, until he heard a thud behind him only to see Ronan knocked out and Carruthers standing smugly behind him.
“I grew I’ve got a new problem huh?” Drew pulled out his gun and tried to shoot him down but he escaped in the nick of time. Ronan was bleeding to death in front of him and Drew had to flee, otherwise he would be next. He ran through the passageways, searching for the exit but once he saw the room of stairways and boilers, he knew he was lost.
“There he is! Get him.” A voice called out. He turned and saw Rayla with two henchmen. They grabbed and dragged him across to another room and saw Velvet inside, hiding in the darkness.
“Alright boys. No need to get nasty.” He ordered. The two men forced him into a chair and Rayla went to stand by his side. “Now Stargrove, it’s been a long time since I saw you. I believe you stole something precious from me. A program disk. Care to explain?” He asked
“Come on this is stupid. Is that anyway to treat an old friend like.”
“It’s stupid to even think we were friends. But we can end things peacefully for once if you want to see your precious kids again.” He threatened.
“What are you talking about. My kids don’t have any idea of what I do. You’re threatening to kill him aren’t you?”
“Oh I’m not threatening darling. I’m promising to kill them unless you give me what I want. You don’t want them to get into the wrong hands, like your wife. And I’m sure my darling Rayla here would have fun with that.”
“Fine. I’ve got it with me. Give me a second.” He goes to his pocket before pulling out a dagger and stabbing the hand of one of his henchmen and bolting out of the room.
“GET HIM!” They bellowed. Rayla ran straight to her target along with her henchmen. Drew managed to kill each of them one by one but Rayla dodged each one and parkour was her strategy to catch up to him, showing no signs of slowing down until she shot him in the shoulder and kicked him in the back and threw him down a flight of stairs, landing on glass shards.
“Listen Stargrove, you should’ve given us the disk. You earned your chance and you blew it.” Rayla laughed menacingly, watching as Drew started bleeding from the cuts and gun wound he received.
“Please! I’ve lost too much blood to your partners game!” Drew exclaimed, not noticing Velvet walking down the stairs.
“Oh Dumbgrove you’re about to lose a whole lot more! Don’t worry. I’ll let him handle it.” Rayla replied. Drew turned around and saw Velvet holding up a rifle and shot him repeatedly as Rayla moved away, watching with a smirk as he laid down bleeding to death. Velvet laughed maniacally as he was killed right before his eyes.
“Free at last!” He screamed in joy. But as he did, a slight tear rolled down his face. Rayla noticed and ran over to wipe it.
“Are you alright? This isn’t like you?” She asked sympathetically.
“Yeah. He just done a lot in the past.” Rayla embraced her lover and Velvet stroked her hair gently. “I’m honestly surprised you didn’t take the kill.” He remarked
“Eh. I figured you deserved this one. Considering your history with him.” Rayla answered
“You’re so good babe.” Velvet responded and kisses her as they walked up the stairs together, leaving behind their past but unintentionally starting someone else’s future.

If you like my writing...
I know there's a few of you our there. I can hear you scrolling.
WELL, STAHP!
The concept of a Well, There's Your Problem fanfiction has taken over my brain and I will probably be finishing it in a hyperfixated frenzy after a few more days. I am a postmodern absurdist and this is my Art! However WTYP is very niche and I am making so many in-jokes it is unreal. I am going to post this story/script here, but if you want to enjoy it, you'll need to be at least a little into this engineering disasters podcast.
I am referencing, specifically: The Kursk; The Silver Bridge Disaster; The Atmospheric Railway; The 1943 Frankford Junction Wreck; and (I think) either the Bhopal Disaster or Aberfan. Also, the Ghostbusters films (it's a crossover). I recommend you start with The Atmospheric Railway, it's not too terribly long and you'll find out if you like jokes about rat smoothies before you get into the darker stuff. I gave Ms. Caldwell-Kelly a chance to choose the forms of engineering disaster Gozer the Gozerian would take, but she didn't get back to me. Either I got lost in a torrent of asks or she thinks I'm nuts and fears me. She is not wrong, but I didn't have the patience to wait.
There are all of three fics of WTYP at AO3 and I don't think any of them are quite this... epic. Unhinged, yes, maybe, but not like this. I'll be lucky number four! But I'll post it to Tumblr too, so I can render the slides for ya. Here is a preliminary excerpt:
A (Alice, she still seems to be going by that in podcast land): Right. Right. So, I have a question for you, gentlemen: who, or what, was Ivo Shandor? L (Liam): Sounds like a billionaire. A: And he looks like a nonce! R (Rocz): An early 20th century architect. A: You’re both right, and so am I. He was also a quack doctor, a selenium mining magnate, a cult leader, and the last person ever documented to be ripped in half by an ancient Sumerian deity — after he resurrected himself in Summerville, Oklahoma, in 2021. L: Boss. R: I’ve been to Summerville. They have that temple he built at the bottom of a mine… Well, I mean, they did. Right up until he resurrected himself. You gotta watch out for that, with selenium. We used to use it in our electronics, but silicon’s better for that, and much less haunted. L: That explains the internet. R: I mean, we’re not using it for the internet. Mainly in glassmaking, and surge protectors. It’s all right in trace amounts, but you get enough selenium in one place and the ghosts start crawling out of the damn walls. You gotta put up at least a double-thick cold iron insulator, or some carbonated steel. Fucking expensive. Not worth it, unless you’re a big fan of the paranormal. A: Just so. In fact, next slide, please… [Slide: A collage of various art deco buildings.] A: …the paranormal activity associated with Shandor’s designs was so well-documented that by the mid 1950s, everyone who wanted to live or work in one of his buildings was required to sign a waiver, before even looking at them. I’ve looked everywhere for one of these waivers, but it seems like the mere association caused them to become hazardous as well. If anyone out there should happen to find one, for God’s sakes, email it to me, and then speak to your nearest mental health professional immediately. L: Take a Zoloft, you’ll be fine. R: Just walk it off. A: According to what I could find, the standard language indemnified the buildings’ owners against any and all instances of madness, brain damage, murder, suicide… You might have to bleep that, Devon… D [text over slide]: NO. FUCK IT. NOT AFTER THE DAY I’VE HAD. A:… mutilation, speaking in tongues, and — specifically! — “cranial liberation of the pineal gland!” [laughing] Whatever the hell that means! L [cackling]: What? R [deadpan]: Nah, I wouldn’t sign that. A: Well, I would, because these buildings fuck! I mean, look at those façades! R: I like these little gargoyles right here. [outlining a pair of gargoyles in red, paying special attention to the horns] With the horns. Technically these things are called grotesques, ‘cause they don’t have a drain pipe, but people just call ‘em gargoyles. That’s where we get the verb “to gargle” too. Not a typical feature of art deco design, but Shandor sure did like ‘em. They’re not really sure whether he had a sense of humor or if he was just nuts. L: Both, I like both. R: Could be both, yeah. A: Well, according to eyewitness testimony… R: Not very reliable. [giving each gargoyle a smiling face, with dots for eyes] A: …those stone statues came to life during the 1984 New York Incident — next slide, please!  [Slide: The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, with a caption saying Artist’s Depiction.] A: …and summoned a 100-foot tall marshmallow man who attempted to end all life on Earth as we know it. [crazed laughter, pandemonium] R: Yeah, I don’t know if I buy that. L: Sounds like another Macy’s Thanksgiving balloon snapped its tethers with murder in its heart. R: Yeah, those balloons are famously angry. Ever since they started using helium, it’s like they got minds of their own. All things considered, helium may also be haunted. A: Rows nine through eighteen of the Periodic Table are all fucking haunted. L: A Macy’s Thanksgiving balloon has black eyes, like a doll’s eyes. R: Yeah, I heard Snoopy ate a whole shipload of sailors during World War II. …Says here Sonic the Hedgehog injured a police officer in 1993, that really happened… L: Yes! Sonic says ACAB!
...Please, if you have never encountered WTYP, I promise you, I have not gone mad, that is eerily close to how it really is, and I am thrilled with it. I've written myself into a bit of a corner concerning Ms. Caldwell-Kelly's levitation powers and lasers vs. a possessed train, in that I cannot allow her to destroy the pocket dimension entirely or it will kill all of them, but if I can get over that little hurdle I should be finished soon.
...Okay, I know how that sounds, but look, if you're following because I curate a fun stream of content, I assure you, that is not what I am about. I do not quite have a strategy for fighting the algorithm yet, but it is my intention to share more things in progress so you at least know what I do. I know I SHOULD be getting Erik and Maggie together at the hotel, but I am not in full control of my intellect and I can only do so much with it.
I'll share a bit of Soldier On with only mild spoilers later, too, if that's okay. I'll try to put up at least a piece of something I've made or am making once a day. It's not perfect, but maybe if I send up a few flares someone will notice I'm sinking and send eyeballs. Thank you for your time and patience!

hello !! so, a lovely anon has sent me the most wondrous ask analysing (from a byler perspective) the lyrics from an album that came out on friday night, the likes of which is by my current favourite band (and hyperfixation). unfortunately, my reply was getting ridiculously long, so i shall screenshot the different parts of this ask and add them to this post instead ~
needless to say, i'll also be connecting these beautiful lyrics to byler :O many an au idea has spawned from me listening to this album a few times over, so there's that too. if you're a byler who've never even heard of this band, i highly suggest you check them out; some of their songs are very heavy, others are not and may even be considered pop. regardless of the music, all the lyrics are wonderful and they're definitely worth a listen.
anyway, let us begin !!
Tumblr media
— sleep token —
take me back to eden
Tumblr media
okei, so for the "simple" question: i don't know which is my favourite new release, they're all just so good :( maybe 'ascensionism', for it's the one that's been stuck in my head all day x.x but really, they're all perfection and if these guys don't get a grammy or five i'll be very mad >:(
anyway, you said you were joking but i'm actually buzzing with excitement at the prospect of analysing the whole thing so here we go ~
Tumblr media
first, the singles (i'll be as brief as possible):
i. chokehold: ah,,, the perfect start of the album. i think the song is mostly about vessel's devotion to sleep, but these lyrics really feel like s1 mike to me :O - - - - - - - - - - - beneath the stormy seas, above the mountain peaks, it's all the same to me, it makes no difference. i've seen my days unfold, done the impossible. i'll turn my walls to gold to bring you home again. - - - - - - - - - - - yeah,,, just the disposition to do anything and defeat all obstacles in order to literally "bring [this person] home again" really reminded me of mike :]
Tumblr media
ii. the summoning: such an exquisite single,,, really the best song to pull people in~ needless to say, the bridge brings a really neat dynamic that would work really well in an aged-up fic, i think. - - - - - - - - - - - oh, and my love. did i mistake you for a sign from god? or are you really here to cast me off? or maybe just to turn me on? 'cause these days i would be lying if i told you that i didn't wish that i could be your man, or maybe make a good [boy] bad. - - - - - - - - - - - maybe the classic good student will/rebellious mike? something like that :D
Tumblr media
iii. granite: this was my favourite single !! it's dark and moody and it paints a sad but somewhat beautiful picture :O from the lyrics this is about a dysfunctional relationship and codependency, so it doesn't quite fit canon byler :S an au, however,,, - - - - - - - - - - - i was more than just a body in your passenger seat, and you were more than just somebody i was destined to meet, i see you go half-blind when you're looking at me. but i am. between the second-hand smoke and the glass on the street, you gave me nothing whatsoever but a reason to leave, you say you want me, but you know i'm not what you need. but i am. - - - - - - - - - - - ,,,yeah. messy queer relationships can be fun to write and read and this one paints a very interesting scenario ~ when i first heard it, i immediately associated it with my serial killer au :D
Tumblr media
iv. aqua regia: this one is such a vibe ~ i originally didn't care much for it, tbh, and it took me a while to get the metaphors x.x but once i got it i really started liking the song a lot more ! - - - - - - - - - - - aqua regia, (< gold refiner; vessel describes himself as gold before) oxytocin running in the ether. (< the ether would be the internet,,,) silicon ballrooms, (< silicon is a main component of electronics, so instead of social gatherings happening in an actual ballroom, they happen on the phone) subatomic interactions if it's all good. - - - - - - - - - - - so yeah, my understanding is that the main character in this song is someone who resists technology, but stops trying to fight it once they meet someone they feel something for online which is quite lovely ~ also, these lines are so cute: - - - - - - - - - - - oh, when i am done dancing to alarm bells no wonder my ears are still ringing. - - - - - - - - - - - (just imagine vessel bouncing around all excited about getting a message from this person :D ) anyway, um, modern byler au where mike is an anti-technology nerd who finally gets himself a phone just so that maybe he can talk to this really cute, semi-instagram-popular guy he likes from one of his lectures ^-^
Tumblr media
v. vore: um,,, yeah,,, as someone who leans towards heavier music i love this song so so much !! the themes of obsession are amazing and really build on the concepts brought up in "this place will become your tomb", so that's a nice callback :O needless to say, there's not much bylering going on here but the vibe really goes well with aforementioned serial killer au, so there's that x.x
Tumblr media
ix. dywtylm: aha, last single ! i must admit, i also didn't care for it a lot when i first heard it but, within the context of the album, it's a great break between "the apparition" and the final part of the record ~ so, i think i'd mentioned this before (?) but i can't remember,,, anyway, the lyrics scream mike at me ~ - - - - - - - - - - - and my reflection just won't smile back at me like i know it should. and i would turn into a stranger in an instant if i could. and there is something eating me alive, i don’t know what it is. maybe not that you conceal your feelings, they just don't exist. - - - - - - - - - - - also these: - - - - - - - - - - - and i've tried so hard to fix it all but nothing seems to help, but i cannot hope to give you what i cannot give myself. - - - - - - - - - - - yeah, canon mike's insecurities, guilt and confusion really reflect on those lyrics :( if i were to write something around this, it'd probably be a post m*leven break-up thing where mike is unsure if he has a chance with will, so they’re both just dancing around each other,,,
Tumblr media
anyway, there's the singles !! now onto the new songs :D
Tumblr media
vi. ascensionism: my absolute favourite song of the album ;-; there's something about fun genre-merging that really tickles my brain ~ i can't say i get the lyrics as much as the other songs, but from what i get it's about a relationship that's gone awry and both parts know they need to break up, but neither one wants to do it :( (there's also some stuff about a pseudo-religion called "ascensionism" and from what i get, it would imply that our main character believes they deserve this because of something they did in a previous life, so by accepting this, they will be able to ascend,,, or something like that x.x again, i don't quite get it just yet.) anyway, as much as i like this song i can't really connect it to byler ;-; maybe an exes fic, where they reflect on their fallout ? i don't do well with those, unfortunately x.x
Tumblr media Tumblr media
vii. are you really okay?: this song is so pretty and sad :( i actually quite liked it !! it doesn't sound like anything from the soundtrack, i don't think, but it reminded me of my favourite film ever ("the crow") ~ the 90s vibes are delightful and it really gave me a feel of nostalgia that only added on to the emotion ;-; now, out of all the lyrics i'd say these are the most straightforward so i don't think i need to say what this is about :( and it's not quite the same, but i heard this part and had an idea for a short fic: - - - - - - - - - - - and i, i cannot fix your wounds this time. but i, i don't believe you when you tell me you are fine. please don't hurt yourself again. - - - - - - - - - - - picture this: during the confrontation about the painting, mike finds out about everything will has sacrificed to help him be happy so he tries to comfort him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
viii. the apparition: ah, this song feels so short :( it's very pretty though, all about vessel's troubled relationship with sleep ~ indeed, those lyrics you mentioned do feel very byler coded :O maybe their feelings between s3 and s4, when both of them were mourning their perceived lost connection (which they could've solved with a single phone call, but alas,,,) ? something like that ~ as for the dream stuff, i can definitely see will yelling this at vecna, once he's fed-up with the nightmares and being messed with and all that: - - - - - - - - - - - just let me go or take me with you. - - - - - - - - - - - granted, vessel's relationship with sleep is more of devotion than hatred (as reflected by the rest of the lyrics), but that particularly line gave me that visual :O i propose an alternative to the vecna interpretation, though: - - - - - - - - - - - why are you never real? whenever you appear you leave me with that grace, i am trembling with fear. but i know that you will disappear, just as i awake. whisper in my ear. - - - - - - - - - - - imagine that will's been taken by vecna (slipped into a coma or something of such nature) and he communicates with mike through his dreams :] that could be interesting, i think ~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
x. rain: woo, byler-coded song !! those verses you wrote definitely feel like them, maybe once they get their stuff together and they accept that they can achieve happiness with each other ;-; i also love the references to other songs ~ part of the chorus feels a lot like "atlantic", there was a callback to "aqua regia" (something about 'saturate'), the 'game' part of the lyrics might be tied to "blood sport",,, i really like it !! the music is amazing and i can proudly inform you that listening to this as it rains around you is a wonderful experience ~ i have nothing more to add to your analysis n_n so, for a fic, i'd write about the direct moment after they defeat vecna and everything is done, with them running into each other's arms and just being happy to have each other, fully, at last.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
xi. take me back to eden: the title track,,, an absolute masterpiece ;-; it's got everything musically, the most amazing breakdown, and it really is the perfect song to explain who they are :( and vessel's lyrics,,, "i dream in phosphorescence",,, who thinks of that ? x.x he's by far one of the best lyricists i know >.< the references to previous releases are so cool, too: - the ocean references are a call back to "tpwbyt" - the second verse alludes to "nazareth" (my favourite song) - the biting stuff is from "the offering" - shakespeare's "the merchant of venice" gets quoted - and of course, the first verse from "chokehold" is repeated to round the whole thing up :O ah, amazing,,, anyway, about the lyrics you shared,,,, yes. to all that ~ perfect interpretation <3 the chorus itself can be very byler, too: - - - - - - - - - - - my, my, those eyes like fire, i'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre. come now, bite through these wires, i'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired. reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher, grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire. - - - - - - - - - - - from mike's pov, he knows he's attracted to will and he perceives that acting on those feelings is dangerous (he's a moth to a flame), but at some point he's tired of being miserable and wants to confront this. it also works from will's pov, with him having already (unknowingly) been hurt by mike and he's tired of hurting, but he can't seem to back away. ,,,i think it works, but you tell me ~ overall, the song really reflects a longing for an innocence lost and we all know mike, will and the entire party can resonate with that :(
Tumblr media Tumblr media
xii. euclid: the perfect outro to the album (and the trilogy) !! such a gorgeous piece with one too many musical and lyrical references to other songs to list x.x with the way it ties back to "the night does not belong to god" (first song in sundowning), it really feels like closing a chapter and i can't pretend it didn't make me cry ;-; (i wonder if the song is called euclid because he was the father of geometry, and this song turns the trilogy into a circle,,,) anyway, i haven't got much more to say than what you've already mentioned,,, these lyrics have been gorgeous since the original song,,, - - - - - - - - - - - the whites of your eyes turn black in the lowlight. in turning divine we tangle endlessly, like lovers entwined. - - - - - - - - - - - and these ones (which you already mentioned but i want to repeat because they gave me chills with how pretty they are) really encapsulate byler, i think - - - - - - - - - - - do you remember me when the rain gathers? and do you still believe that nothing else matters? for me it's still the autumn leaves, these ancient canopies that we used to lay beneath. - - - - - - - - - - - yeah,,, i've got nothing more to say,,,
Tumblr media
anyway,,, thank you for this wonderful ask and for letting me ramble about this beautiful band and these beautiful lyrics and connect it all to the other thing i love !! sorry it took me days to get through this, i needed some time to digest the whole album ;-; hope you liked my insight (?) and the fic ideas and stuff i mentioned !!
for now, i think it's about time i wrap this ridiculously long post up x.x to whoever is reading this, i really hope you're having the best day or night ever, and that you enjoyed reading my nonsense ~ i'll see about writing some of the fics i mentioned in this post, but it will (obviously) take me a bit x.x
farewell for now !! <3

im moving to the midwest in a few months, and i am autistic. do you have any tips 🥲 (i am a full grown adult)
The Midwest is a smorgasbord of different people and places so I can't give universal advice because living somewhere like STL or Chicago is a whole other world than like some small town in Iowa
Still, here are some things that helped me when I first moved out on my own:
1. Stake out the Walmart before you go in. Judge the other people going in severely. This is a matter of life and death (half joking). Same with gas stations. Quik Trip may have weird people but it's generally safe regardless. Targets and Krogers are generally good as well. Walmart Markets are generally safer than regular Walmarts but do not have the same selection of items.
2. Sign up for a Dollar General account. They have so many little deals you don't even have to go looking for
3. Eating at small family-owned diners is generally less expensive then mainstream chains or "trendy" places
4. Only some chain locations (I.E. McDonalds and Casey's) are open 24 hours. Be sure to look up the hours of the specific location before needing to rely on it
5. After September always have a spare jacket, blanket and ice scraper in your car. In the summer months always have a water bottle and perhaps a rechargeable fan
6. Don't know if it snows where you're from originally but people still don't know how to drive in snow or ice here so the drivers are more unsafe than the conditions most of the time
7. Always carry small bills with you (1 or 5 dollar bills). Even if you tip electronically at restaurants there's the rare chance someone will stop you and asks/threatens you for money
8. That being said, it is far too dangerous to stop to give someone money when you are by yourself. Number 7 only applies if they approach you first
9. Always lock your car. If you ride a bicycle, be sure to buy a U-shape lock. Thieves will just cut the wrap ones with hedge clippers
10. Don't leave packages outside your door too long and don't rely on the postal service to transport valuable/sentimental items as we've recently had a package opened and re-sealed by someone at UPS before it even arrived at its destination
11. As far as small towns go? There's nothing really to worry about with them other than water/electric utility issues, but they vary from town to town

Take My Hand P11
Tumblr media
Media Irl x 1910
Character Thomas Brodie Sangster
Couple Thomas X Reader
Rating Adorable
Concept Take My Hand Series
|Y/n|
I had a nice hot shower luckily not many others were showering around this time so lots of hot water making sure to wash my hair and make myself smell nice. I sat on my rooms sofa curling my hair while I got my best dress on, my little blue dress I was bringing with me for after we arrived I hadn't planned to wear it onboard but this felt right, it was such a sweet dress not impressed by any means but such a sweet color with beautiful embroidery I did very little make up just a lip and some eye work as I didn't want to seem too overdressed using my little white shoes and my gloves in the hope it would bring it all together I let my hair from the curls and plaited It. I grabbed my journal and a small bag doing a final spin to check myself over.
The door to my room then knocked to I hid some mess away and opened It seeing Thomas stood rather well dressed seeming at first confused and worried but relieved when he saw me
"Thank goodness I got lost for a while there" he laughed making me giggle too "you- you look so beautiful" he smiled looking me over
"Thank you I did my best, you look handsome'
"Ohh thank you, may I?' he asks offering his hand I nodded and he took my hand giving it a gentle kiss "I got really lost for a while. I didn't realize quiet how far down it was"
"That's okay, so shall we go? If you still want to, of course?"
"Of course I do" He smiled
I held his arm as he lead me up though the ships many decks each getting more impressive the higher we went, until we reached this beautiful deck of marble floors, mahogany fixings, electronic lights hung in beautiful chandeliers I stopped short as we arrived at a stairwell, a bustling lobby below of women dressed in diamonds and men in fine suits, I felt immediately out of place stopping short letting his arm leave my grip. He stopped half way down the stairs as he noticed I wasn't with him and he turned back to me
"I uhh I shouldn't be here"
"You're fine your on my invitation." He smiled
"I think I'm uhh a little underdressed'
"You look beautiful, take my hand I promise I'll look after you" he smiled offering his and I was nervous but I took it letting him lead me down the stairs and thought a corridor or two until we reached the glass plane doors of the restaurant, we had to show our documents to the host and immediately he pulled a face
"This is a third class passenger Sir"
"Yes, I invited her to dinner I have it all sorted if you continue with the paperwork"
"Sir I-"
"It should be shorted. she's here by invitation"
"Have a pleasant evening" He says handing back our paperwork and we were lead inside this beautiful well decorated dinning room with a fireplace and tables all around the room, we were given a table on our own near the fireplace there were so many sets of cutlery and a menu long enough it took up the whole page
"Holy toad." I muttered looking at the menu "How many courses?"
"Ten"  He smiled "it's my treat. get whatever you like" He smiled
"Uhhhh okay" I nodded "anything you recommend?"
"The Fillet was nice last night" he smiled eventfully we ordered even if I needed a lot of help and they took our menu's, it wasn't long till the first small soup arrived "Start at the edge work your way in" He told me
"Right" I giggled "sorry"
"It's fine, it's always sweet to see people learn it" He laughs
we ate and chatted for a good while about everything and nothing and it was so much fun the two of us laughing and joking between the two of us the courses luckily were small so it wasn't too hard to have something from all of them even if we mostly shared what we got
"Ahh my favourite course" He smiled as our desert arrived I got peaches in jelly and he got some eclairs but we got ice cream between us "Ummm that's good. One thing I will say about the first class kitchen's they make good pudding"
"Umm it is really nice, never had peach jelly before"
"How is it?"
"Here" I smiled offering him a spoonful
"oohh? that is good." He smiled "Ohh here." He smiled giving me half of his éclair
"Thank you" I giggled "Umm very nice"
"Ice cream's good too."
"I've had better"
"Ohh? enlighten me?"
"There is this little farm close to where I use to live they make the best ice cream,"
"You'll have to take me someday"
"I'd Love too"
Once dinner was done with we went for a walk across the deck in the darkness
"I had a lovely time Thomas"
"I had an amazing time with you too"
"Ohh I stole this from the hosts cart before we left" he smiled grabbing a menu from his pocket "for your journal"
"aww thank you so much" I smiled adding it to my journal for tonight
"May I say something that might sound rather insane?"
"...Of course."
"I really like you y/n"
"Ohh" I blushed hard "I uhh I really like you too Thomas."
"do you think I could come see you again tomorrow?"
"I'd like that"
"You would?"
"I would" I nodded
"Okay...Did you want me to walk you back?"
"If you wouldn't mind"
"not at all, I want to make sure you get back to your cabin safe" He reassured
"Okay"

@unexpectedly-wizardposting: You should probably get out, maybe re-explore the skull room and beyond?
(Given that this update involves a lot of drawing including a new room (well, a room I've been to before, but that was before I started including drawings of everything), it's going to be a two-parter; I'll post the first half tonight and then I'll try to get the rest up tomorrow morning.)
Okay, well, first of all, we've spent a long time in this room, so now that we're finally leaving it, I may as well show the map again:
Tumblr media
So there are only two places on this level I haven't been (that I know of): behind the secret door in the symbol (northern) room, and in the room to the southeast where something's making an electronic crackling noise. Well, I guess technically there's also the small hole in the wall in the southern room, but while I could easily get through that hole myself, the shapeshifting powers that Xil got when he, uh, ingested part of me have worn off by now, so he wouldn't be able to get through there, and I don't think Flocsle could either.
I've only been in one room in the level above this, though, and I haven't been in the level below this one at all, and I have no idea how many levels this place has, so even if I've explored most of this level it doesn't mean there's not a lot of the tower I haven't seen.
But anyway, yeah, I guess my exploration of the skull room was kind of interrupted when the skeleton woke up and chased me out, so I may as well start by going back there and see what else is there that I missed.
Since we're leaving this room now, I guess it's time to give the man-eating plant my other arm like I promised. The plant argues that we ended up staying there and demanding its services a lot longer than it had initially expected, and demands to eat part of Xil and Flocsle too. That's not an option, because I don't think they can grow their parts back, but I eventually talk the plant into settling for getting one of my legs thrown in.
Tumblr media
(And because somebody's bound to make this joke, yes, I guess that means paying off the man-eating plant is going to cost me an arm and a leg. Sure.)
So fine, I remove my left leg and I throw it to the man-eating plant and then… I can't really throw it my arm if I don't have any arms to throw it with. I mean, yes, I can grow more arms, but I don't want the plant to know that. I guess maybe it already knows that from reading my mind—I'm not really sure how powerful its telepathic powers are now—but in case it doesn't know about my abilities, I'd rather keep it that way. Xil offers to throw my arm for me, but the plant says if I walk up to it it'll just bite my arm off and leave the rest of me, so okay, I guess that works.
Tumblr media
Yes, I know, I absolutely should have seen this coming. I think I may be too trusting.
Okay, I guess I can't totally blame the man-eating plant for this. We did kind of end up using its services a lot longer than initially agreed, and besides I'm not sure it was sentient until recently so maybe it hasn't really had a chance to develop a sense of morality. Oh well.
Xil says if it's getting too taxing to keep changing my shape, I can just stay like this for a while and he'll carry me. Honestly, it doesn't really take a lot of energy to change shape, but I've lost enough material by now that if I did form back into a humanoid shape I'd be a much smaller version of me and would probably have to be carried anyway to not slow everyone else down, and I kind of get the impression Xil sort of wants me to stay like this, so whatever, I guess I'll just be a leg and a… bottom for now.
Okay, so, back to the skull room.
(Like I said, the rest of this update coming tomorrow morning, since I have to draw the skull room, although if anyone has any ideas in advance for what I should do when I get there you can go ahead and suggest them now.)

Cyrus: Well, about all I know about it is it's a game that involves shapes and Thursday and one of her friends loves it. So much that they installed an arcade machine of it here in the office.
Thursday: Tetris is one of the best games ever! I like Dr. Mario just a litttttle bit more, but still, hard to beat Tetris when it comes to classic games.
September: (shrugs) It's a fun game. I don't have a strong opinion of it one way or another.
Timmy: I'm not very good at it, but it's fun.
Aurora: Is that the game with the shapes that fall from the ceiling? I haven't really played it, though I hear it's a classic game that many humans enjoy playing.
Doomsday: Tetris is cool! It's a lot of fun taking the top score and watching people squirm, ehehehe. Hate that stick piece, though. Arrogant bastard.
Thisday: I love Tetris! Of course I'm nowhere near as good as Eisuke is, but you know what, that's okay. He deserves to be the king.
Arthur: Tetris? The game with the shapes that you fit together and clear the screen? I suppose it's a decent game. Not as good as mine, but- Do you think Stanley would like it? I've always taken him as more of a Solitaire man, but if he'd like it...
Stanley Johnson: (shrugs)
Nextday: I haven't played it in a long time, but I used to really like it. I wasn't half bad at it either. I've always found getting a Tetris to be so satisfying.
Shadow Stanley: (sends a message to the nearest electronic device) Much easier to play being dead. Can get into the game and manipulate the pieces a lot easier. Fun game.
Wheatley: Tetris? Tetris... Hmm... Well. I suppose it's probably not a good thing, is it? I mean, humans have a vaccine for it and all, so yeah, deadly virus, or bacteria, probably not good. Not good at all. Safe to say, I don't like it. Not one bit. Glad there's a cure for it!
Spacey: SPAAAAAAAAAACE-
Marvin: Oh, I suppose you expect me to be an expert at that game. Why would you think so? Because I'm a machine too? Bloody game. It's just like life. Teases you with the pieces you need and then never gives them to you until it's already at the end. What a perverse joke.
TVAM: I have neither the time nor patience to play some stupid game invented by humans! But if I did have the time or patience, I'd kick all your asses! I'd rather put you stinking humans IN the game and drop the shapes down on top of you and watch you run around and try not to die!
Pandora: Actually I've never heard of it. What is it? Is it food?
Shinigami Doomsday: It's loads of fun. I've seen humans kill each other over it, ehehehe. Seems a bit extreme, but hey, more power to you.

Modern AU Black Butler
Okay okay so I know I’ve done a bit of modern day kuro but here’s a longer post
- Sebastian does not know how to use electronics and is very wary of them. The electric lights are far too bright, he can’t even begin to comprehend what the internet is, and touch screen just seems like wizardry to him.
- also, and this is headcanon but so is the rest of it, Sebastian can see at higher fps than humans can, so he can see the individual frames on the tv and computer and frankly it gives him a headache
- Sebastian cannot drive a car.
- there are so many things. he doesn’t get what the clutch does. and you have to go so fast???
- also it’s not really like you can drive a car without lessons so he has to have someone he doesn’t know sit there and watch him repeatedly fail to change gears and he cannot stand it
- don’t get him started on the headlights. Humans should just be able to see! In the dark!
- Ciel’s maths homework. Ciel comes in one day and asks Sebastian for help with his maths homework, and Sebastian is agrees to help with no doubt in his mind that he can because he knows all the maths that one could reasonably need to know in their life (subtraction, multiplication, maybe a bit of basic geometry) and he is totally right, but that’s not what teach kids in school.
- Sebastian doesn’t even know what a parabola is, let alone where its roots are. And there are LETTERS?? Ciel watches his 2000+ year old butler speedrun all five stages of grief and discover some new ones along the way just because of his maths homework.
- AEROPLANES.
- FUCKING AEROPLANES.
- he thought ships were bad but aeroplanes just take the cake. humans just fly themselves off into the stratosphere in these massive metal tubes that must weigh the same as several whales with wings that don’t even flap and yet they still stay in the sky??? That’s not how flight works???
- they have to go on a plane once and Sebastian spends the entire thing this 👌 close to having a complete and utter mental breakdown
- ciel: u good? Sebastian, gripping the seat handles tight enough to bend/crack them: perfectly fine.
- they have gone to the MOON. humans have gone INTO the SKY. THATS NOT ALLOWED WTF. THE SKY ISNT EVEN A PLACE YOU CAN GO ITS JUST DECORATIVE WHAT ARE HUMANS ON???
- sebastian does not know what a meme is. Ciel does.
- Sebastian is kind of suspicious of modern medicine, both because he can’t even begin to understand it and because he’s grown up with kind of unreliable medicine. He spends a long time pinning down a slightly confused doctor about what exactly is in Ciel’s inhaler.
- also Sebastian giving the A&E department heart attacks. Comes in there after his fight with Grell with his arm half hanging off and flatly refusing painkillers beCAUSE YOU CAN NEVER TELL WHATS IN THESE THINGS.
- A&E thinks they have a bunch of broken ECG monitors because his heart rate can’t be that slow he’s still conscious’ but no that’s just how his heart is.
- He’d absolutely LOVE cat videos. It’s his only motivation to learn to use the internet.
- Sebastian, in tears: look,,, at this cat. It just keeps,,, jumping in and out of the box,,,
- in terms of dress I am very torn between him still being a butler so basically just wearing what he wears in the show, Sebastian dressing like a man having his midlife crisis a la Lestat in The Vampire Lestat, and Sebastian existing solely in cardigans.
- all of Ciel’s classmates joke about Sebastian being an immortal and Sebastian panics.
- they watch BBC Sherlock together and Ciel’s like ‘this is such a bad mystery show and such bad adaptation of the novels >:(‘ and Sebastian’s like ‘Martin Freeman😍’ (and is Mrs Hudson’s #1 fan)
- Sebastian watches The Great British Bake Off religiously. He has the taste in TV of a fifty year old woman. It’s coming up to Christmas, Ciel just wants to watch some Norwegian crime show and Sebastian’s like ‘no. Kirsty’s. Christmas. Crafts’. Ciel seriously regrets telling Sebastian about TV.
- Sebastian does not get CG though. He gets practical effects but he does not get how a computer can just make things exist. Ciel tries to explain it and eventually gives up.
- Sebastian v Smoke Detector
- Sebastian hears the smoke detector for the first time and nearly has a heart attack
- Ciel tells him about vacuum cleaners and mops and Sebastian nearly cries with joy.
- also central heating is literally the best thing ever. He still likes fireplaces and definitely still lights the fire during winter for the ✨ambience✨ but he very much approves of the radiators
- Mey-Rin loving horror movies (obvs) and Sebastian’s like oh sure I’ll watch one with her but he has not been desensitised to them (see: everyone losing their shit about The Exorcist back in the 60s but nowadays it’s not that bad). They watch Autopsy of a Jane Doe or something and Sebastian is Not Okay.
- he likes the Gay Horror Podcasts ™ though (Sebastian listening to the Magnus Archives anyone?) good old fashioned horror story + its gay whats not to love?
I’ll definitely add more but my rsi is really protesting so for now enjoy

When U.S. officials complained at the annual Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore early this month that a Chinese naval vessel had dangerously cut off a U.S. destroyer in international waters as it passed through the Taiwan Strait, China’s defense minister had a ready-made answer for how such hazards could best be avoided in the future.
“For China, we always say mind your own business, take good care of your own vessels, your fighter jets, take good care of your own territorial airspace and waters,” said Gen. Li Shangfu. “If that is the case, then I don’t think there will be future problems.”
The United States has long used the standard, internationally ratified definition of what constitutes “innocent passage” to justify sending warships through the territorial waters of many other nations, and, in the case of China, patrolling the seas close to the Chinese coast. The same has been true of U.S. military aircraft flying near China in international airspace.
For China, which in recent years has acquired ever more impressive means to push back with a powerful naval fleet and sophisticated air force of its own, the U.S. position amounts to what Beijing calls “hegemony of navigation,” by which it seems to mean taking maximal advantage of international rules that were largely conceived in the spirit of Western legal traditions and enacted during a long era of scarcely challenged Western power.
From the instant one looks more closely, though, things become more complicated. For one, China has ratified laws of the sea that it now complains about, and the United States, remarkably—and I am tempted to say to its shame—has not.
Furthermore, China frequently commits the very same acts that it objects to close to its shores. Most of these receive little international attention, such as sending warships into disputed waters around the Senkaku Islands, also claimed by Japan, or firing ballistic missiles into waters that form part of that country’s exclusive economic zone. The Chinese Navy has also trailed U.S. Navy vessels into seas close to Okinawa, Japan, where a Chinese submarine surfaced undetected near U.S. warships during drills there just to prove that it could. Chinese warships have also exercised the right of innocent passage close to U.S. shores.
For Americans, this shadow game has been powerfully brought home by two recent events. The first, which I would characterize as clumsy or ill-advised, involved the west-to-east transit of U.S. continental airspace by a Chinese balloon that reportedly carried sophisticated electronic signals-capturing equipment. One comedian joked aptly afterward that the Chinese could have at least painted the thing blue to blend in with the sky. The incident may have set U.S.-China relations back by at least half a year, prompting U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to postpone his first official visit to Beijing at a time of badly needed high-level communication between the two countries. In fairness, there was also an incommensurate response by U.S. politicians and media, for which China serves as all-too-convenient bogeyman and foil. Lest one think this is a one-sided problem, this reality is strongly mirrored in China as well.
Readers may be surprised for me to say that the second recent event along these lines is salutary. I’m speaking here of the reports that emerged last week that China has plans for or is already operating a major intelligence base in Cuba, an island that—as news stories have ritualistically reminded readers since the 1962 missile crisis between the United States and the Soviet Union—sits a mere 90 miles or so from Florida. In its most recent response to this revelation, the Biden administration has calmed the worst of the politicians’ predictable dudgeon by stating that China’s intelligence collection efforts this close to U.S. shores have been underway and known in Washington at least since 2019.
Here is why this is all a good thing: We would all do better—both Americans and Chinese—by dropping the pretense that only one side or the other, depending on one’s loyalties, gets up close and personal in collecting the other side’s electronic signals and other information. In fact, Li had it entirely wrong. In great-power competition there has never been such a thing as minding one’s own business. It has never existed, and it is dangerous to pretend that we expect it to.
So long as China is not installing offensive weapons in Cuba, Beijing having a listening post on the island should be treated as a mundane development, just as the United States would like China to stop getting hot about U.S. ships sailing wherever they like in international waters or taking advantage of the permissive rules surrounding innocent passage. There is, of course, a law-of-the-jungle way of thinking about this: that what goes around comes around. But there is also a more thoughtful way of framing things that can perhaps do more to enhance the safety of all concerned.
The United States and China have a lot of work to do to codify their relationship in ways that produce fewer surprises and less chance of violent conflict. U.S. Senate ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea would be a good place to start, signaling at a minimum that Washington does not expect Beijing to be bound by rules that it has not formally adopted for itself.
Amid the present climate in Washington, where hostility and suspicion toward China come cheaply, one should not hold one’s breath. In the scheme of things, though, this would be a mere baby step. And the present climate in Beijing, which is equally inclement, makes getting what follows all the more difficult to imagine. But that doesn’t mean efforts toward these ends should be postponed or abandoned.
For one thing, the two countries need to come to an understanding about the development and future deployment of new nuclear weapons. China has been reluctant to engage on this for one obvious structural reason: The United States still possesses a far larger arsenal of deliverable and accurate hydrogen bombs. Yet it is in the interest of both parties to recognize, given the reality of the scale of annihilation that these systems can produce, that they have no practical use in warfare. Where this should incline the two countries is toward a mutually agreed, managed reduction in their stockpiles as well as shared rules and limits governing their delivery systems.
If the Soviet Union and the United States, which were fierce adversaries and often closer to war than Washington and Beijing have ever been over the last seven decades, were able to engage in fruitful nuclear arms control, this should provide confidence to the two sides about what they can accomplish together.
Other urgent domains await—areas where there is no gainsaying the technical and economic capacity of the world’s two most powerful countries and largest economies to innovate in military affairs to an exorbitant and possibly catastrophic extent. These, quickly stated, include the militarization of space and artificial intelligence. Both are manifestly areas where, once a race gets out of control, the idea of minding one’s own business will sound hopelessly quaint and naive.
China and the United States will inevitably compete more and more with each other across all domains and in almost every imaginable geography as the power differential between the two countries narrows. Of each side, this will require making less noise about the supposedly exceptional behavior of the other as the convergence of their efforts grows with each passing year. And the way to make that possible is to keep expanding the list of commonly agreed-upon rules.
