girl help a kid in the latest woo episode was describing this hakwon (private academy/cram school) she went to where they didn’t let you leave the grounds until the day was over and made you raise your hand and get permission to go to the bathroom and the adults were like “doesn’t that sound less like a cram school and more like a prison???”

hakwon teacher! reader x soldier! horangi
(please ignore the formatting, written on mobile!)
you were exhausted, plain and simple. long days, hundreds of kids, the expectations of management, it was all piling up. and you were trying really, really hard to make friends with your fellow teachers, but most of them wanted to go out and party in itaewon every night. it's not that you didn't drink or party, per se, but teaching 20 six year olds from 4pm - 10pm while hungover was not an experience you wanted to repeat any time soon.
'ah, it's raining' you thought as you exited your school building. you'd forgotten an umbrella, which honestly was your fault, you knew how mercurial seoul's weather could be in the summer - if it wasn't 98% humidity and hot, it was pouring rain.
regardless, you hurried down the street to your favorite soon dubu restaurant. rainy weather called for hot soup and the stress of the day called for food so spicy you would regret it tonight.
the ahjumma called a welcome to you as you entered before returning to her cooking. you sulked back to the rickety table in the back corner - your normal spot - before calling out to the woman
'저기요!! 순두부찌개 한 개 주세요. 그리고, 맥주 한 병 주세요!(excuse me! one soon dubu soup please. and one bottle of beer please!)'
'네, 알겠습니다! (okay! understood!)' she returned, the pots underneath her sizzling.
as you waited for your order, the place slowly began to fill up. despite it's shabby appearance, the food was good and cheap, the owner nice, and the beer cold. what more could you ask for? it'd become 'your spot' once you'd moved to seoul, a stone's throw from your school and school-provided apartment, as well as cheap enough to indulge in on your measly teacher's budget. the ahjumma had come to know you (and help you practice your elementary korean). so you came back at least twice a week.
as more people filed into the small shop, you noticed a group of soldiers come through the entrance, their military fatigues in plain view. you rolled your eyes and turned your attention to you phone. korean military men were not much unlike their american counterparts - self-absorbed, rude, and generally distrusting of foreigners.
'guess that checks out in any country' you thought bitterly
despite every male of serving age being required to do their time, those that chose to stay in the forces certainly got a reputation for being 'fuckboys' as they say.
you turned to your phone as you waited for your food, texting your only friend here in seoul - an office worker you'd bet at a PC room.
a short wait later, the ahjumma brought out your meal and your beer. you could feel the weight of the day begin to melt off as the steam rose off of the hot stew. muttering a quick '잘 먹겠습니다 (i will eat well/thank you for the food)' before dipping your spoon into the red broth.
you made a move to bring it to your mouth, a figure seated themselves across from you. you raised your head from your meal, analyzing the new figure. angular face, honey brown eyes, dark hair, and high cheek bones, from what you could tell. he was wearing a mask over the bottom half of his face. what you could see what littered with small scars, along with a large scar slicing his eyebrow.
you blinked, before muttering a quiet '안녕하세요 (hello)'
he glared down at you, before leaning back in his chair, his arms crossed over his chest and his legs spread under the rickety table.
'american?' he asked, his accent lilted
you nodded. you had no idea what a korean soldier was doing sitting across from you, eyeing you down like a piece of meat.
'i could tell, you are,,,, how do you say 통통한’
your shoulders fell. you recognized that term, in all the time you'd been living in seoul. although the city was pretty metropolitan, korean society certainly dictated a certain appearance, one that you were definitely not a part of.
'thanks' you muttered reproachfully. honestly, you wished this guy would just leave you the fuck alone and let you get back to your dinner.
he shook his head, dragging a hand down his face.
'아니 (no), i mean no...씨발 (fuck)...how do you say in english? 한국어를 할 수 있어요? (do you speak korean?)'
you rolled your eyes, pinching your fingers together.
'god my food is going to get cold' you thought
'조금 (a little)'
'네, 오케이. 제 친구들은 돈을 걸었어요 (my friends bet money),,, for 데이터 (date)?' he hummed, gazing away from you and holding his chin. you looked around him to the group of soldiers gathered at the other end of the restaurant, their attention solely on you and the masked soldier at your table.
you looked back at the masked soldier, a hot anger rising in your stomach. fuck these stupid soldiers. fuck this stupid day. you smiled a grin that felt all too fake.
'야, 이름이 뭐예요 (hey, what's your name)?’ your voice was like belladonna, sweet but poisonous.
he grinned, thinking he'd won.
'호랑이’
your smile dropped in an instant. 'horangi. tiger. what a stupid name' you thought bitterly.
you raised your spoon, grabbing the handle and wielding it like a weapon:
'호랑이 씨, 축을래요?! (horangi sir, do you want to fucking die?!)'
horangi's eyes widened in shock before crinkling up into tiny half-moons. he leaned forward in his chair, a full body laugh taking hold of him. your mouth dropped open in shock. surely he wasn't laughing at you?
'야, 어떻게! 재웃겨! (wow, what, super funny!)'
you leaned back in your chair, mouth open. he stood up, still laughing.
'진짜 (really)... how do you say... you are 재미있어요 (interesting). 고리고 너무 귀엽다 (and really cute). 데이터 (date) another time? 네 (yes)?'
he stood up, adjusting his mask, before making his way back to the table of soldiers, leaving you confused in his wake. you were cute?
(maybe a part 2?)
(also if ur curious on what i think horangi looks like, look up korean actor seo kangjoon!! in korea mandatory military service has to be done somewhere between 18-30 soooo i think since horangi was in both the korean army, special forces, and now kortac he's probably between 30-38, if he started his service when he was 23-25!)

⇀ bus crush gone wrong
⇁ TIS THE JUNGHOON IDEA I SUDDENLY GOT @flowerboykun YOU DID THIS !!!! YOU ENABLED ME !!! TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES !!!!
wc : 2.3 k
genre : fluff, high school au
buy me coffee ??
For reasons your friends don't know, you've always liked taking the bus. Some would say those buses are too packed, too many creeps around, and too suffocating no matter the time or day, but not you. Maybe it's because your school and hakwon are rather close so you didn't have to ride the bus long, maybe it's because your bus is usually isn't as packed as the others. Or maybe it's the cutie from your hakwon who you share your bus with.
It might be creepy-adjacent for you to be gawking at him every now and then but how could you not? You've seen him around with some of his friends, some from the grade above and some in the same grade as he. You've seen them running around to and in the hakwon before the class starts or after as they rush out to the bunsik stand at the corner or to an arcade. Not much is known about him as you both don't share the same class other than the fact that his name is Kim Junghoon and he was from a school near yours and they dismiss their students around the same time as yours so you get to wait at the bus stop with him, ride the bus with him, and go to the same hakwon as him.
So it wasn't even surprising to see Junghoon at the bus stop before you did. He was sitting on the bench casually with his headphones on. You were curious about the kinds of music he likes but you had no way to know or even to ask if you could know because let's be honest, the man looks unapproachable. So you settled with just looking at him from afar.
Once the bus arrived, Junghoon and the other few people at the bus stop got into the bus first before you did which was a wrong move on your part. When you got in, you realized that the bus was more packed than before, so instead of going to your usual seat, you were stuck standing. Luckily enough, you were able to stand next to Junghoon who barely noticed your presence anyways so you settled with standing right next to his seat with your body facing the front of the bus. During the ride, he was busy playing on his phone as he would usually do but from where you were, you were able to take several accidental peeks at what he was doing on it like playing this cat games and texting his friend group or his mom which was absolutely surprising and adorable because he wasn't even texting her with just one or two words but a full-blown two paragraph detailing what he did, what he ate and what he planned on eating after hakwon.
When the bus arrived at its next stop, more people got in and only three people got off. Now you were starting to understand why your friends hate the bus. People were shoulder to shoulder with each other but there was still space to breathe. Unfortunately, as the bus started driving, one dumbass decided that he didn't want to be in the middle back side of the bus and he started moving forward which caused other people and you to shift around awkwardly. It wasn't until the bus slowed down at a red light that you lost your balance and before you could stop yourself, you fell on Junghoon's lap.
For a moment, your body froze in the same position and with eyes wide staring across you in absolute shock. Slowly, with fear running up your spine, you turned to look at Junghoon who was simply looking at you with a blank expression, seemingly unfazed by the surprising turn of events. You thought you could skate by, apologize and just move far away from him as you curse yourself for thinking that standing next to him was a good thing. God, you wanted the ground to open up and swallow you whole.
However, Junghoon opened his mouth before you could do anything.
"Can you move?"
Chills ran up your spine from hearing his voice but also from the dreaded realization that he had just said something that the whole bus heard loud and clear. The way the words were phrased made it seem like he was annoyed by what happened even though it was by accident. Embarrassment punched you in the gut and suddenly it felt like everyone was staring and snickering at you and you know you shouldn't feel as bad because it was definitely an accident, you didn't want it to happen but it did and there was nothing you can do to undo the unfortunate accident.
The bus suddenly came to a full stop at another bus stop which was only two stops away from your usual stop to your hakwon. But you didn't care about going to hakwon anymore. You simply muttered a soft 'sorry' to Junghoon and dashed off without looking back. Had you looked back, however, you would realize that Junghoon was taken aback by your reaction to him asking you to move. You ran past the bus stop, not really knowing where to go but you stopped once you rounded a corner to crouch down and let the horror sink in. You had absolutely no idea how you were able to have possibly one of the best but at the same time one of the worst days ever, the notion was beyond you but it did happen and it sucks. Without thinking twice, you covered your face with your arms and let out the stress away with a muffled scream, completely oblivious that the bus you rode passed by behind you and that there was a pair of eyes watching you until the vehicle drove off.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
For the next couple of days, you decided to avoid Junghoon altogether. You didn't even went to hakwon the day you fell on him which promoted the hakwon to call your mom asking about your attendance which then got you scolded for skipping. Although, when you told her what happened, her anger slipped slightly and while she still scolded you for skipping, she completely understood the fear and within two hours, you both were able to have a more logical conversation about coping strategies that don't involve running away and skipping your responsibilities. One of them was taking the bus before or after him and since before was not an option, you were forced to take the bus after the one you usually take. But the unfortunate thing about that plan was arriving at your hakwon late and receiving a tardiness notice twice for both days you tried getting on the later bus. The shitty thing about your hakwon was that the third notice of the semester means that they would check you absent on your attendance record and that might ruin your chance of getting into the good CSAT prep class and you just couldn't risk that.
So you found yourself on the third day taking your usual bus with dread in your gut, making it seem like you wanted to puke. It was horrible and even more so because it seemed like you were being beyond paranoid for actively trying to avoid Junghoon. You hated the feeling. In fact, you absolutely detest it. So you decided to not even wait at the bus stop at the risk of having Junghoon see you and maybe it was just your fear but you did not want him to announce to the whole bus stop that you fell on him three days ago. Heck, you even wore a hoodie to cover your uniform in case he remembered. So you just kept to yourself a little further away without even checking if Junghoon was there until the bus arrived. Even then, you made sure to get in a little later than everyone else, a couple moments before the door closes even. Rushing to the back and passing Junghoon in his seat.
Or, someone who you thought was Junghoon.
Because just as the door closes, a figure slipped in and looked around before he made eye contact with you. Your eyes widened and almost immediately you wanted to jump out the window or move away to a more secure location on the bus (which let's be honest, doesn't exist because it's a bus and not a fallout bunker). Not wanting to be thought of as a jittery freak by other passengers, you planted your feet firmly and just let Junghoon approach you like some kind of animal. It was surprising, to say the least when he stopped right in front of you and suddenly changed the position of his backpack from his back to his front, covering his chest. Then he did something that made your heart skip a beat from fear, nerves, and uncertainty, he used both of his hands to hold onto the overhead handgrips, making you even more nervous than you already were for no reason.
The first five minutes were the worst, you think. You wanted to get your earphones and watch videos on your phone but you were overthinking everything so much that you were unable to do anything other than look down at your foot. You don't know what exactly was Junghoon doing or what he was thinking when he suddenly appeared in front of you like that. Though you don't know if you wanna find out because what if this was his revenge for making him uncomfortable several days prior? Whatever it is, you simply wanted to coast through this ride before possibly disappearing off the face of the earth leaving the legacy of the history of your embarrassment. Should be fun, right?
But of course, your body betrayed you when the SAME red light caused the bus to slow to a stop and as expected, you stumbled and fell onto Junghoon, or more likely his bag.
"So you're just clumsy, huh? Here I thought that was just your way of introducing yourself to me,"
The speed of your head snapping up to him was enough to give you a whiplash. You were surprised that he was smirking down at you playfully, teasingly even. Or was it just your imagination? Was he mocking you?
Once again, the bus stopped at the next stop which was the stop you got off and ran out to several days prior. But this time, even with Junghoon teasing you, you made no move to get off which, not that you realize nor know, Junghoon was glad for. As people boarded the vehicle, Junghoon shifted which made you press your back to the seat next to you out of surprise. From his initial position of simply being in front of you, he had now moved to your side slightly and he moved one of his hands to grip the overhead handgrips so that he was completely covering you from other people. It wasn't like the bus was packed or anything, so what was he covering you from?
"I... Noticed you weren't on the bus these past two days but you were at the hakwon," he started, which made you cringe at his realization of your existence around him. Had you looked up, you would've seen Junghoon cringing at how he phrased his words. Maybe he should listen more to Minjae when he said he needs to brush up on his vocabulary and communication skills because as the man said, Junghoon has the same communication and social skill as a raccoon. "I-I mean, I usually see you on the bus before hakwon but you weren't there but then I see you at the hakwon during breaks so I was... Confused," you looked up to him in curiosity to see that he was avoiding your general area in favour of looking to the side and you even noticed that there was a slight tint of red on his cheeks which made you double-take just to make sure. Never would you have guessed that he was capable of being so devastatingly adorable that it made you bite back a smile. "You... Take notice of me?" you asked, slowly becoming braver due to your curiosity about him. Junghoon glanced back at you only to see you looking at him with eyes that made his heart skip a beat and a lump form in his throat. He nodded slowly at your question, however, "Kind of," lies, he DEFINITELY notice how you always sit in the middle of the row and on the right side of the room in your hakwon classroom. He DEFINITELY noticed the fact that you don't usually snack on your way to hakwon but you would sometimes swing by the convenience store to get your favourite drink and no matter the weather or day, you would more often than not drink the same thing. He DEFINITELY noticed how you're just a naturally kind person, always considerate of others without even having to try. Yeah, he didn't 'kind of' notice you.
At the revelation that he might have (definitely) noticed you, you couldn't help but stand a little taller and took a half step closer to him. Your initial embarrassment and need to evade him were completely gone and your love of taking the bus was renewed.
Moreover, Junghoon leaned even closer to you and let you slightly rest your weight on his arm, he was trying to be as discreet as possible but you couldn't help but notice what he was doing. Knowing that the both of you were still slightly awkward slightly with each other, you decided to not point it out and just enjoy the closeness with him.
"D-do you think I can accompany you to the bus stop after hakwon?" he asked in a soft voice.
Yeah, bus stops are great. People who said otherwise don't know what they were talking about.

˙ ◌ ⁎˚ 〇﹒﹙johnny suh. cismale. he/him.﹚guess who was almost late for their shift at the vesper lounge again?? that’s right, it was baek eunwoo! it’s a wonder their job as owner of vesper lounge isn’t in jeopardy. the 26 year old has been working at sunset galleria for 3 ½ years, and is well known for their generous nature. on bad days, they can be rather self-critical, though. when the mall is dead at night, they can usually be found browsing vinyls at wangto records, but don’t tell their boss!﹙izzy, 28, she/her, gmt+2, none.﹚
hello meow meows ♡ you can call me izzy, i'm 28 (come on hags), operate on gmt+2 and i'm bringing u my cool chaos boy eunwoo (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ under the cut you can find some links, a summary of eunwoo and whatever random thoughts & tidbits about him are flying around in my head. i can't wait to write with you all !
click here for eunwoo's full profile
click here for eunwoo's full biography (it's a bit lengthy lmfao sorry)
pinterest board for all my visual besties out there
baek eunwoo, 26 turning 27, make some noise for scorpio babies!
daegu born & raised, owner of the vesper lounge
his parents poured all their savings into opening a family restaurant called two moons, it was their lifelong dream to have an establishment of their own
you know the food is dope when there’s a random child sleeping in the corner or playing mobile games at full volume? that was eunwoo lmao
he never quite understood why his parents were so strict with his older brother jinwoo regarding his education WELL 🤡
turns out there was only ever enough money to punch one kid thru medical school and of course it has to be the eldest son duh
meanwhile eunwoo got to have a pretty chill school time? noraebag after school with friends is x100 better than hakwon anyways
it was a little too late when he realized that he only got to play and have fun bc his parents had no intention of sending him to university
surprise! you get to help at the family restaurant awww congrats king <3
he….really wanted to help his parents. he wanted for their dream to be successful. but not like this bruh 😭
he really struggled with accepting the fact that he was gonna rot away living someone else’s dream once his parents retire and leave the restaurant in his hands but ??? they are his parents ??? he couldn't say no rip
life comes at u fast and eunwoo realizes that when his parents pass away in a car accident and the care of the restaurant falls into his hands much, much earlier than he expected
well....... he cashes out his part of the house & land he inherited, sells the restaurant (his parents in heaven: say sike rn?!) and moves to a different part of daegu 🤣👍 talk about burning bridges that's that dawg scorpio in him
by now his brother is in seoul busy being a big shot anyway ugh so when eunwoo stumbles over the empty storefront in galleria sunset he pours his savings from the sales he made into opening the vesper lounge, finally something of his own awww look at him 🤕
truth be told he can't really tell if this is actually his dream or if he's just done this to be Doing Something but it's too late to make something different of life at this point right??? (he really needs someone to tell him that it isn't too late pleek)
i've got a bunch of plots right here but i'm always down to plot and brain storm!!
i love making my muses suffer a little lol and i love coming up with dynamics and past backgrounds to intertwine our muses so!!! i hope we can come up with something cool together hehe i'm excited (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡
oh and if you find tumblr ims as obnoxious as me we can plot over discord ofc <3

Extraordinary Attorney Woo. 이상한 변호사 우영우. 8/10
I would recommend this drama to my friends. I would rewatch this drama.
I love all the familiar faces from Hospital Playlist, Yumi's Cells, Vincenzo, Big Mouth, Hometown Cha Cha, etc. Lee Bong Ryun was casted perfectly for her character. I love the illustrations at the end of each episode. I love Geurami's smirk when Junho asks about Young Woo for the first time. I love Su Yeon's reaction to being called Spring Sunshine. I also love Young Woo for observing the kind acts done for her like that. I love how Su Yeon develops in her care for Young Woo. Such a tough love deep care. The meeting room view is beautiful. omg the girls who support girls vibe in the gender discrimination trial. I love it.
LMaoo at one of the moms of the kidnapped children thinking about their kid wanting to go to law school. How real. Lmao at Jun ho's reaction to Young Woo's confessions. Lmao at Young Woo understanding dad jokes. Lmao at Young Woo mentioning her kissing troubles in the elevator. Young Woo and her dad first discussing kissing is so amusing to me.
Young Woo and Jun Ho's soft moments together make my heart flutter.
It saddened me to see the hakwon students getting the convenience store food and so late.
Wow the recap at the end shows me how much has happened. It is amazing that when Young Woo went off about aquariums being bad, Junho just immediately said that he didn't know, instead of getting defensive.
Kim Hierora is pretty. Ha Yoon Kyung has always been pretty. Young Woo is so cute for being herself. Her mannerisms are so cute to me. Hwa Yeong is like Shin Se Kyung and Lee Yeon Hee look vibes. Jung Suk Yong, Kang Ki Young, and Lee Sang Yi give me similar vibes.
This drama makes me quite emotional in terms of empathy. Your child has never spoken but all of a sudden, she memorized law. Imagine how that must feel for the dad. Young Woo calming down with whale sounds on the train is represented so well to relieve even my anxiety. Geurami rebelling in school is actually way more badass than how I see Americans rebelling. Min Woo and Su Yeon arguing over the treatment of Woo Young is interesting because they have valid arguments. It's amusing to have Young Woo's whale sound hearing to be like a That's so Raven moment. The constant undermining, being overlooked, and abuse are themes I understand. Another job Young Woo can have is a quiz show host.
When it's mentioned that Young Woo is really smart in some aspects and not in others, it's interesting that we even have to categorize it like that. She's smart to an extreme with the law, so it makes her stand out while in other ways, she stands out to the other extreme for not being capable. If we lessen the extreme, every person is like that. Good and bad at things. Why should the other characters feel the conflict of wanting to help her or not?

hello, all you cool cats! beyond happy to be here and to introduce chaerin to all of you! i only have a profile page up because i love coming up with connections/plots as i read about all your muses! if you’d like to plot, don’t hesitate to like this post and i’ll come message you. beneath the cut will be a—what i’m hoping—brief introduction to chaerin!!! also, a small sidenote, but i've heard that tumblr has been shadowbanning blogs that mass follow so i'll slowly be following people on the masterlist!!
her background first!! first born of two girls. father is an accountant, mother a university professor, little sister is still in high school; very average family in all sorts of ways, but a loving one, nevertheless
chaerin’s been into art ever since she was young and was told she had a talent for painting at a young age, and that’s where she was pushed. not against her will, of course, because she enjoyed it as well. this is just to say that it’s pretty much all she’s known in her life since she was like six. she shifted a little once she got to high school and is currently a visual communication major at hongik university! her family isn’t super well off, and she thought that visual communication would be a more useful degree. however, she works part-time as a teacher’s assistant at a painting hakwon so she never abandoned painting
now you’re probably thinking: what made chaerin want to go into stardom?
she won’t be shy in saying that, a good portion of it, is because she really would like to be less of a burden on her parents financially. they’re nowhere near struggling, but she understands that the reason she was able to learn art for so long was because of her parents. with her little sister preparing for college now, she’d like to be able to, at the least, provide her with an allowance of some sort in the future
second, she’s always been quite interested in music. she knows how to play the electric guitar as well as the piano. whenever she goes karaoking with her school friends, they’ve commented that she has a lovely voice. she was part of a kpop dance crew within her college for a year before she had to quit because of time commitments!!! it’s been an underlying passion that she’s sort of supressed
lastly, she’ll be the first to admit that she can be a little naive, but she’s extremely curious how it feels to be so loved and admired by people. it’s something she dreamed of with her work, but she just wants something more exciting. she’s spent so much of her life sitting still and painting, or now as a college student, she spends hours in front of a camera working on her projects. she wants something new in her life!
now onto her personality. she’s used to doing a lot of things on her own so she’s quite reserved and individualistic. likes to be more of an observer rather than stepping out into the spotlight. she wasn’t spoiled, but i do believe that she had a pretty sheltered life (since she didn’t do much except art from a young age) so she’s pretty nice to everybody. she hasn’t had a reason to be wary of the people around her and stuff like that. genuinely believes in being kind because kind people are the winners at the end of the day. that way, she never has to be ashamed of her actions or words. has a sort of high morality, and she finds it difficult to understand how people think differently from her. if someone disagrees, she gets that it can happen, but she wouldn’t understand why they think that way when she believes that her way of thinking is correct. truthfully, she’s quite a noob when it comes to the whole idol scene. she’ll know a few very popular idol groups, but she’s always just listened to the sort of music her parents played for her, and she’s just a really big fan of younha. there’s a lot out there for her to discover!
as for plots, i feel like she’s a very flexible muse so anything can work for her! maybe your muse is a big idol fan and tries to introduce her to their favorite groups! someone who’s intrigued by her art? it’s something she has a lot of pride in. you catch chaerin sort of snooping around the vocal or dance academy that you attend and ask her what she’s doing. she hangs around the hongdae and sinchon area a lot since that’s where she goes for university; perhaps you catch her at the same spot of the same cafe and decide to start a conversation? there’s a common misconception that art school kids are super wealthy. while chaerin isn’t poor or anything, she’s really more middle-classed than anything. maybe your muse misunderstands her and think she’s super privileged? or even the opposite can happen! perhaps your muse is the one that’s privileged and a little spoiled, and chaerin’s not a huge fan of them. that’s all i could think of at the top of my head, but more plots related to music would be nice as well!!! please do throw anything at my direction, and i’d be more than happy to work something out!

"candy gets eaten by the zombies first — they're bubble pop queens full of singing to a pitch too high. they use too much aegyo, and everyone knows that doesn't smoothen out so well with the zombies. plus, candy sounds sweet. i'm willing to bet zombies have a dead sweet tooth somewhere inside their rotten mouths. calypso, selene, and lily — they go somewhere in the middle. see, i hate to pull the age card, but everyone knows your blood pressure only rises with age. add the zombies boosting a bit of extra cortisol in their blood, and they're more susceptible to a health crisis. i put them in the middle based on biology. after the biology, equinox dies. do you know why? because we're night and day — during the night we're camouflaged with the zombies. however, by day, we're caught red-handed in our mask. zombies will suddenly point betrayal, and go peek-a-boo. ultraviolet and andromeda go similarly, but too much girl crush speaks more talk than show. they go after equinox when their ddu-du-ddu-du finger guns become harmless to the walking dead. now, andromeda can go to space, leaving the planet and foraging for a new beginning — zombies don't have an intergalactic portal, so they survive."
you've taken a magic honesty potion and you have to rank your group members to their faces. how would you deliver the news?
"you think i need a magic potion? they can ask me anytime, sober or magic potion drunk — i'll still be happy to share whispers of my thought. at the top of the list, i have saebyul. nice and youth — she's at the age where she doesn't need that many fillers or botox, youth is on her side and she blooms. plus, she has a pretty nose and nice doe-eyes. kiana's after, only because age isn't on her side. next, suji — she has that girl next door look. like the girl in your hakwon who is also first in your class, but too intimidatingly smart that you can't go up to her look. last is my leader, i've forgotten how she looks. now, i deliver this news by either calling them up, pretending it's a scam. saying congratulations you're number one, two, three, four on minjung's equinox's beauty list. otherwise, they can ask and i'll just share."

This happens some time after akayona chapter 224
(this is only a scenario I imagined. And please excuse my english).
Ship: Suwon / Hak
Hak is lying on the bed his head bandaged and injuries treated as much as they could possibly be treated
Suwon comes to visit, Hak doesnt even have to look, the way he walks and the sound of his steps is all too familiar.... Suwon doesnt say a word, he thinks hak is asleep, stays for a few minutes then he turns away to leave
Hak: "...You won't talk to me?"
Suwon is taken aback. With his back to hak he stops on his tracks. He doesnt say a word.
Hak could hardly move and it was hard to see him from his position but even when he did, suwon who is facing the other way makes it impossible for him to see his face. But he is still not leaving. Hak thought he still has a chance .. maybe.......
"I went through all those hardships to get you the senjusou, so .. even if you dont want to talk to me or look at me, even if you dont care about me, can you do me this favour? Its very.. hard to get to talk to you, or get near you so.. just give me some of your time.."
Hak sounded more shaky than he wished to, as much as he tries to keep his emotions in check, that always seems to fail when it's about suwon. For some reason he felt very vulnerable, is it because of his physical state?.. no.. for some time now, his feelings have been all over the place. And he instinctively knew the reason.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suwon only wanted to take a quick look; hak looked too weak, he has never seen him like this before. The hak in his memory, the hak in his...heart has always been the strongest and most depndable man ever, the person who shook him to his core, who meant so much.. looked so weak and fragile. And that was painful.. almost unbearable. He wanted to.. reach out to him, to touch him....
[ha.. what am I thinking now]
Hak was alone, it was already late at night so Minsu must have tended to his injuries and left for the night a while back.
Suwon couldnt sleep, he had so much to think about. In the first place, he really couldnt figure out the incomprehensible behavior of hak. Why would he... For him...
He approached his bed, hunched down by the side to look at him more closely.. hak looked so pale, his head bandaged, his chest bare and his waist also bandaged.. he wore a curious pendant.. suwon's eyes lingered a bit too long on his chest [too many scars... He didnt have them before..]
His hair was damp from the sweat, and his breathing was heavy, his lips were...
Suwon got up abruptly. Without even realizing it, he caught his hand almost brushing Hak's lips, unconsciously, as if some unknown force was urging him to have some physical contact with him, to caress him, to...comfort him?
[What am I even doing...]
He was only supposed to check how he is doing and go back right away and he is going to get away right now.. fast or..
"You won't talk to me?.."
[What...]
Suwon stopped. He is awake. And he wants to .. talk...?
He was glad hak couldnt see his face right now, because he cant seem to wear his usual poker face, for some reason, at this moment he cant seem to control his facial expression at all and that was... Scary. Not being in control was scary.
Just a few more seconds.. he will be in control again, he will be able to compose himself and face him he...
"I went through all those hardships to get you the senjusou, so .. even if you dont want to talk to me or look at me,
[WA-]
"even if you dont care about me,
[WAIT-]
"can you do me this favour? Its very.. hard to get to talk to you, or get near you so.. just give me some of your time..
A few seconds passed in absolute silence, as if frozen in time and space, as if no one existed but the both of them.
"I miss you"
Suwon felt it for the first time in years, the gush of hot liquid on his cheeks, he remembered what it felt like to cry. But this time, the tears won't stop.
Take care of yourself
It’s true, what all the books say, about that fleeting moment of nothingness you wake up to before the awful memories kick in. When they come, I purposely bask in it a bit, for the same reason I repeatedly poke at my bruises (weird habit?) - to acclimate myself to the discomfort. I stay in bed longer this morning, knowing I won’t work today, and scared that if I get up too quickly, my head will still be throbbing. My mom comes in to check on my head, and I say I feel completely fine. It’s not exactly a lie, because I can’t tell. I finally get up, and thankfully my head seems fine, but I realize I’m sore, which is unexpected. It’s not the good kind of sore, like the soreness you get after a full-body workout, but more painful, sinister. Muscles are tense. I know bones have no nerves, but my bones ache. My left elbow is unbelievably tender. My body feels like cracked cement, broken and dense.
Some bouts of sadness you can trick or act your way out of, i.e., by going through the motions of your day until you bounce back to normal. I know that won’t work this time. Today is about recovery. I don’t feel as anxious or depressed as I thought, instead I’m curiously empty. I feel exceedingly heavy and hollow at the same time. Usually when I write, I hesitate to use these kinds of descriptors, thinking I might be being a bit dramatic. But last night was bad enough where I know these words measure up to exactly what I feel. There are worse words too. Trauma. Triggers. Reckoning. Retribution.
I book a multi-stop Uber ride for me and Logan: home, Logan’s hakwon, and home again. It’s cute how apprehensive Logan is about the Uber, and he exclaims in Korean at how nice this car is (clean, both in smell and feel, complete with nice leather seats and lots of leg space). Our Uber driver is a mild-mannered, gentle, stout Spanish man, and I instantly like him for no reason other than his impressionistic demeanor. I sheepishly tell him that the last stop is where he first picked us up, and he smiles in return, saying it’s no problem. As I step out of the car, I recite the usual pleasantries - thank you so much, have a good one. He responds likewise, but adds: “Take care of yourself.” I’m sure it’s a routine remark he says often, but tears well up in my eyes anyways. His words ring in my head. Take care of yourself. Another book cliche I’ve experienced today, crying at the kind words of a stranger.
What does that look like though?
winter inspiration — headcanon, playlist & aesthetic
summary — inspiration falls differently with each season, except this winter seems like the longest one yet. gyujeong’s been writing less music despite having a surge of inspiration. inspiration comes from different parts of his day to day life, and where he draws the most is where he tends to continue pursuing. lately, it consists of writing, anime and son yejin. playlist summary — though he’s only really influenced by drake’s albums, sometimes gyujeong finds himself in a predicament when he listens to the same track on and on again. these songs give him some sort of inspiration of the music he’d want to create. yet, it becomes thwarted by the reminder that when given the musical freedom, he’s only left to make shitty ultraviolet edm beats. despite this, he continues to curate playlists for the sake of getting to it later, using it as fuel for himself to someday make better music than his current situation. this playlist is a mixed bag of genre as gyujeong’s been here and there with what inspires him. wc — 552
1. drake — best i ever had 2. drake — hours in silence 3. bach — air on the g string 4. beethoven — romance no. 2 in f major 5. chopin — waltz op 69 no 2 6. 성우정아 — 상상 / sungwoojunga — beyond my dreams 7. polaris — dynamite 8. 원티드 — 외로운 사람들을 위한 노래 / wanted — heal me 9. 김광석 — 너무 깊이 생각하지마 / kim kwang seok — don’t think too deeply 10. shwayze — corona and lime
yeah, gyu’s a bit weird in what inspires him this winter — nothing is really coherent. and that’s the gist of his inspiration — incoherencies, and that’s what he’s just drawn to
classical music — gyujeong has a background in classical music because he used to go to piano hakwon everyday as a child. his mother thought it was mandatory that all her children learn how to play the piano, and turns out, gyujeong was quite good at it. he was the best out of his siblings, and he learned pretty quickly. now, after being in the industry for so long, he strayed away from it but somehow he landed on the weird side of youtube at 3am where it led him to a few bach and beethoven pieces, so that’s now what plays as his background music instead of his guilty pleasure (600 lbs life).
drake — everyone can shit on drake all they want, but gyujeong will defend drake till the very end. he doesn’t know why he vibes with drake so much (well, probably because he’s a lonely loser that doesn’t know anything), but he does. drake releases a new album? gyujeong streams it along with streaming old drake songs. the old love songs that made drake a meme? those are gyujeong’s favorite and he’s having fun with the meme-factor of it
dynamite — he thinks this song is hilarious. from the lyrics to how it was marketed, he thinks it’s funny. feels bad for polaris, but also finds it intriguing how a song can elicit so much laughter from him. because of that, it’s his inspiration to write beyond sad songs and start to write comical humor
the other songs are just classics that give him a taste of nostalgia for an era he never lived in. they’re more superficial inspirations? so, he doesn’t put that much thought beyond that the sounds were so raw back then, the mastering wasn’t as pristine, yet they stay true to the test of time. longevity — he wants that.
anime — he’s always inspired by anime, but lately it’s been a lot of makoto shinkai movies. he hasn’t been watching series, but been watching straight up romance anime movies because it makes him cry, and he enjoys living vicariously within a fictional world. it swallows him whole and he considers it a profound experience everyone should try
writing — he’s never been a journaler because he finds the concept annoying. writing feels like a chore, but he finds that when he scribbles down one or two thoughts he had in the day or what he did that day, it pieces together a familiarity for when he goes back. plus, writing one or two thoughts doesn’t consist of a page and fits his lazy ass <3
son yejin — in addition to makoto shinkai movies, gyujeong’s been watching a lot of old son yejin movies and dramas. he’s named her his ideal type once or twice, with the explanation: he hasn’t seen anyone more beautiful when they cry and he likes dog faces more than cat faces. he likes to pretend he’s the co-star in whatever she’s starring in, and try to write songs that paint a picture to her tears. this is SO lame, i know. but since he’s been in a sadder mood lately, he writes break up songs about son yejin instead of thinking about his ex : )
